"stopped doing edges ... each week it got worse at navigation, essentially only doing half rooms ... stopped sweeping and mopping anywhere it transitioned from rug to floor ... It would leave 2 ft circumference around every rug unswept which was horrible near dog doors and the rug in front of them (main reason I got vacuum!) ... But was not willing to deal with it stopping sweeping the entire floor. ... It was glitching out around edges"

Just ordered the Roborock Qrevo Curv X this morning with the Black Friday sale. We used to have a cheaper Ecovacs Deebot and hated it/sold it because it would get stuck all the time on our carpets and couldn't get over our bathroom threshold. We recently moved into a multi story unit with hardwood floors and excited to see how this new one goes.
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum are you getting? ->I have a ecovacs deebot. I've had it a year and a half and have had to replace the brushes on it twice. It's ok to stretch out the vacuuming I have to do with my dyson, but I still need to vacuum about once a week. Twice a week during high shed seasons. It has a mop attachment, but I don't use it as my kitchen and bathrooms are small and the rest of my house is carpet.

My two can only stay in the bird room, so there're always feathers and bits of seeds on the floor. When I run my ecovacs deebot, I just let it clean the bird room too. After that, I don't really need to clean it again myself.

I use an ecovacs deebot myself, and if you’re not in a rush, the X8 pro omni might be worth a look. I’ve had it for a few months and it’s been really reliable so far.

r/RobotVacuums • Why is buying a robot vacuum worse than choosing a mattress? ->We got a Eufy vacuum only a few years ago and after having to sweep everyday due to having 2 dogs and a cat, it was this amazing luxury I couldn't even imagine. It ran really well for a long time. Then it did need to be replaced. We got the same model but this one had some issues rather soon. The remote stopped working which was a little important since i had a non mapping model. I still ran it but it would push dining room chairs around, get stuck on the base of our fan and cat scratcher. During Prime we splurged on a Ecovac Deebot that mops. Wow it is such an upgrade from what we 1st started with. We are really happy with its performance, my floors have never been so nicely maintained. Totally worth it.

Also, I love my tinco mop vacuum, it saves me so much time mopping but I prefer sweeping or running the vacuum before using it so I don't have to clean it from hair as much while using it.
