Ive got the ecovacs t9+ that ive had for about 3 years. They replaced the motor free of charge. It still sounds like an animal is dying and the navigation of my home has veen absolutely shocking for the entire time ive had it. I hope the newer models are better.

Mine (Deebot T9+, so getting on a bit I guess) can’t be trusted to run every day. Never know when it’ll get stuck on something stupid, like a chair. It also has that issue where the dustbin doesn’t REALLY clear out the debris from the vac most times. Also sucks the dustbin lid down hard enough to cause it to open, so it always needs some manual intervention.

After sales service in France is impeccable. I bought a T9+ 4 (ish) years ago. I had to send it back due to what I now know is excessive dust under the lidar (4 dogs, 2 cats and living in a rural farm environment - I clean it myself now). It took less than a week! My T9 is now on semi-retirement in a smaller section of the house and I have an X2... Fantastic. I also splurged on a goat which I can honestly say is the best thing I've ever bought... We have 35°+ in the summer months so now I don't have to mow! I recommend Ecovacs to everyone!

I don't know about the T50, but I found Robot Wars when researching which robot vac to get and it was fantastic information to have. They don't just run it around their house like many people and actually test suction, noise and true % of picking up debris and mopping spills. I'm a fan. Their reviews and testing helped me decide on the T9 which was brand new at the time. 4 years on and it's still going. I think the only issue it has is it's starting to not feed water properly at the start of mopping. I never had to wet the mopping pad first but will have to now. It's a small inconvenience for the amazing help it provides. People will often reach out for help or in frustration when something goes wrong. This is why we tend to see more complaints online. People who are super happy with something don't tend to post about it.

Issues with warranties are usually due to the country. I'm in Australia and we have excellent consumer rights. Ecovacs would have no choice but to replace their products if they had a major fault or were not fit for purpose. I've had my Ecovacs T9+ for about 4 years and still love it. I did have issues with it freaking out in the kitchen and bathroom when I moved, but some googling revealed Lidar does not like shiny surfaces. So I covered those areas and it works great. It's getting a bit old now so the water feed for the mopping is starting to have intermittent issues. It still vacuums like a dream and mops up dirty boot marks when tradesmen come to fix things. Unfortunately I think all products are going to have lemons here and there and it's just luck whether we get one or not. I have learned when it comes to robot vacs, we get what we pay for (usually).

I feel your pain. I had an Ecovacs T9+ and its software was atrocious. I am currently using a Dreame X50 Ultra complete and am very satisfied with it. The only negative things that I noticed is, its intelligence while the LIDAR sensor is not very good, its carpet detection is kinda wonky and the detection of the cleaning liquid container appear to not work sometimes. But the overall navigation and function of the Dreame is much better than the Ecovacs I had.

I’ve had the 9x for a couple of days and straight out of the box the mop isn’t functioning properly. Mop isn’t extending to clean edges. I’m going to watch a couple of videos to make sure I’m not missing something I need to do for the mop to use the true edge adaptive mopping. I bought this model based on vacuum war’s rating and I really want it to work

I have an ecovacs deebot forget the specific version but I watched https://vacuumwars.com/ and it was pretty well regarded at the time. The big thing you kinda need to understand about robovacs and their cousins, automowers, is that these don't necessarily replace your vacuum. They compliment it and reduce the number of times you vacuum. It's more of a maintainence mindset. That said, I've personally had no issue with dog fur being picked up. I have a shiba so he has an undercoat and his fur comes off in tufts all year. I just run it once a day and it picks up most everything. Whatever robo vac you get, you may need to do a thorough clean before running it for the first time and I recommend having it run once a day or once every other day and spot vacuum any sections that seem to be getting missed. Also do yourself a favor and make absolutely sure the one you get has a charging base that doubles as a vacuum tank. These things don't hold a lot so that'll save you a lot of time emptying the robot itself. They'll vacuum and then empty into their respective dustbin

I feel you on the 2 kids + 3 pets struggle, floors are basically a combat zone. If the Qrevo isn't doing it for you, definitely check out the Ecovacs Deebot line (especially the T series when on sale). Their "Ozmo" mopping tech is a beast for sticky messes and pet tracks. You can often snag them under $500, and they might actually give you the "oomph" you're missing.
