Each of these sites seems to prefer one brand or another so I find them useful to a point. Much better to read from other users as youāll get a sense of which works best in various use cases. VW helped me determine that I wanted a roller mop and helped me narrow my choices amongst the players. Then I read reviews here and added my own $.02. No vac will be perfect for everyone and intangibles like support and warranty need to be taken into account. I did try the T90 and generally liked it, but Iāve had bad luck with Ecovacs in the past and didnāt find them overly helpful with some basic questions this time around so it went back. Liked the RR Curve 2 Flow, but it couldnāt handle my hand thresholds and had some quirks so it went back. I now have a Narwal Flow 2 and itās by far the best moppet even though VW gives it a sub par mopping grade. Having run them back to back and seeing the Narwal pick up what the other 2 left proved that. Best bet is to buy from somewhere that allows returns and come to your own judgement. VW is unabashedly pro Dreame even though youāll read horror stories about support. Just a dad loves anything Mova makes even if it has dismal battery life. And so forth. I trust this community to help and then try myself. Hope that helps.
The battery issue is the reason I didnāt get the V60 to try. Again, there are things I like about each of the brands and models I had in my house. None are perfect and each have their Achilles heal and Iām happy to call a spade a spade which none of the popular reviewers can or will do. If I didnāt have ptsd with Evovacs, I might still have the T90.
And he also has preferences. If you watch enough videos, youāll find that Mova can do no wrong whereas Narwal canāt do anything right even if he has the same exact criticism of both. Which is fine, his opinion which is exactly what anyoneās reviews are - opinions. Someone also responded that the other factor you have to keep in mind is the QC of each company as I could get a bot that works perfectly out of the box while someone else can get a dud even if itās the same model ordered at the same time. Itās a shame that it galleons, but it does.
I tried the Roborock Curve 2 Flow and the T90 before settling on the Narwal Flow 2. The roller mops are generally better at looking than spinning pads, and the Narwal was far and away better than the other two I tried. It has quirks and the app sucks, but its navigating and moping are fantastic. Just my opinion.
I tried the Roborock Curve 2 flow and the Ecovacs T90 before getting the Narwal. The Roborock had a better app, but couldnāt get over my thresholds. The mopping was ok generally, but not at the level of the Narwal. All and all a great all round good performer. Iāve had issues with support from Ecovacs in the past and I felt it wasnāt as well put together as the Roborock so I returned it even though I liked its looking better than the Curve. The mopping on the Narwal beats both by a long shot, and while the app isnāt as good and there are still bugs in the software, itās the best for my needs so far. At launch, it came with a 3 year warranty which helped as there isnāt a robot without horror stories here on Reddit. The navigation is far superior to the other units li listed as well. I still have a week to decide if I want to keep it, but Iām leaning towards that even though I wish it came in white to hide the scuffs itās gotten while it learns my layout. If you have any specific questions, DM me. Iām definitely not a shill for the company and have several minor gripes I wish I knew before I went down this path lol.
I think an Aqua 10 would be good if you purchased from a brick and mortar store as it comes with the extended warranty. Iāve not tried it as there were all kinds of issues with that model being reported (and awful customer service) when I was looking. I started with the Roborock and thought it was capable. Not a remarkable in any way, but solidly built and easy to use app. Best app of any I tried. It didnāt wow me and couldnāt handle my thresholds, do i then tried the T90. Not as well built as the RR but significantly better mopping. The RR was slightly better at vacuum. Iāve had issues in the past with Evovacs and the machine just didnāt have enough fit and polish to make me want to try again. I then moved onto the Narwal Flow 2 which beats them both significantly when it comes to milling in my opinion. The vacuum works well enough and I picked it up with a 3 year warranty which I think is mandatory with any robot. Itās not perfect by any stretch, but the battery and navigation is the best if the 3. Hope that helps.
Something to consider is the age of the model. The Mova and Dreame (sister companies) are about to launch replacement models for the 2 of theirs you mention. Thatās the main reason they are cheaper. Now, being older isnāt necessarily a bad thing as all the bugs that will be worked out have now been (or wonāt ever be). The Aqua 10 suffered from clogging and leaking until mid cycle, but Iām not sure if the reason you arenāt reading negative comments are because theyāve been fixed or people have navigated to newer machines. The RR and Ecovacs are mid tier machines and thus cheaper to begin with. If the T90 were your pick, Iād suggest their sister brand Yeedi as the M16+ is a T90 minus the voice activation (which you could use an Alexa or Siri if such capabilities are important to you) as thatās cheaper. The Narwal has its fair share of detractors as well so all I can say is that itās the one I kept. Far from perfect (the app is the worst among all vacs ever as far as Iām concerned), but I wanted the best mop I could get. I have more comments if you need them. Just dm me.
Iād give the Roborock Curve 2 Flow a shot at that price point (I think as Iām in the US and donāt know about pricing elsewhere). Tried it and liked it although I returned it due to it not being able to handle my thresholds. I liked the Ecovacs T90 better for its mopping (I prefer a roller over spinning pads for pets), but their customer service is lacking. Im really liking my Narwal Flow 2, but itās above your price range.
The navigation and mopping are considerably better than the Roborock although the fit and finish and app arenāt as good. Iād probably have stuck with that unit if the threshold climbing wasnāt non-existent and couldnāt move room to room without assistance. The T90 was better, but Iāve had issues with Ecovacs in the past which I couldnāt get past, and the unit just felt cheap.
Neither really had issues either getting around, but the T90 would be my pick as it had better obstacle avoidance. Vacuuming was better on the RR. RR app and maps were much better. My threshold is right at 3.5 cm and the T90 was better, but not as good as my Narwal. Iād have kept the RR most likely although I mainly have hard floors (wood and tile) and so the Narwal is best as itās the best mop. If I had more than 1 area rug, the RR would be my choice with Ramos put in place for the thresholds. The RR is by far the most solidly built. All of the base statins are capable, but the RR is missing auto dosing of detergent. The base station of the RR is the best looking of the 2. Why arenāt you considering the Narwal? Just curious. I wish it came in white. The main reason I didnāt keep the T90 was my history with Ecovacs for customer service.
Iāve tried the RR Curve 2 Flow, the Ecovac T90, and Narwal Flow 2 and the Narwal Flow 2 and the Narwal is the best mopper of the 3 by a lot, middle of the pack for vacuuming, quietus, and best navigation. I wanted a roller and the only other contender was the Dreame Aqua 10, but it had too many issues. The other roller on the market, Mova, had bad reviews for battery and clogging. Again, my own experience. The Narwal is far from perfect, but the best I could find tight now.
Almost all brands now have their own unique take on new brush designs that all handle long hair better than the earlier models, but in my experience that only addresses part of the problem. You also need one that is really good at emptying its dustbin and for larger homes also lets you adjust frequency of emptying I have 2 large dogs and have owned many robot vacuums over the years. Recently purchased the new Ecovacs T90 and so far itās the only one Iāve had that does all 3 of those things perfectly. Been using it a month and have yet to find one hair on the brush or anything left in the dustbin after it emptied
Iām a clean freak too and brought my first of many many models from several brands into my home many years ago when the technology was very young and these things were no more than glorified conversation pieces. The first painful lesson I had to learn was not one of them, even given the recent advances, will ever replace the need to deep clean myself with my Miele C3 regularly. However, what they are good for is that daily keeping the dog hair under control cleaning I donāt have time for. If you are OCD about cleanliness and hygiene as I am you wonāt be happy with spinning mop pads - they clean with dirty water and merely spread it out so you canāt see it. Roller mop models constantly supply clean water mixed with detergent and extract the soiled water much like a Tineco does and deposit in a reservoir in the dock. The dirty water tank on a model with spinning pads is nothing more than what it uses to clean the pads afterwards. Iāve currently been testing the Ecovacs T90 for a month and given the modest price, Iām extremely impressed with its performance. The Narwal Flow 2 arrives next week and Iāll be testing it next. I anticipate itāll mop slightly better than the T90 but only time will tell.
I completely agree about Amazon reviews - thereās something strange going on there in general. You can trust reviews on the manufacturerās own site if you observe one thing - that they post both negative and favorable reviews. My review of the T90 is on their website and I assure you itās legitimate. Iāve interacted w Ecovacs customer service several times over the past month and have been pleasantly surprised.
I agree w the 2 recommendations for the Ecovacs because with the fast charging essentially you get perpetual clean but youāre not limited to the flagship X12 - the mid range T90 also has the first generation of the technology which should also handle your square footage But a word of caution - the āmagicā formula for the perpetual cleaning only works when mopping is involved because it has time during the occasional return to dock to clean the mop to charge up the battery - in vacuum only mode you actually can out clean the battery life - I know because I have
Glad youāre liking it as much as I do mine. Was about to pull the trigger on the Flow 2 Monday when it launches but think you just saved me 13 or $1400 depending on what price they initially offer it at. No need to spend twice as much if mopping is on par with the T90 I already have.
Iām not as experienced as you and some others on here are with these things, but when I got the T90 and started testing it Iām thinking how is Narwal going to be able to sustain that $1500 price point when this thing does so much and does it so well for $700??
I canāt speak to the Narwal but Iāve been using the T90 for a month now and the fast charging is a HUGE deal. I have about 1600 square feet and Saturday is whole house cleaning day - my old Dreame took about 13 hours to do it because it had to pause for a couple of 3 hour charging breaks. The T90 does it in 4 hours flat because every time it goes back to the dock to clean the mop roller it picks up 10% battery life so it never has to pause for charging sessions.
I know - never cease to be amazed at how it can clean continuously because of the fast charging And w 2 dogs I really appreciate the option to empty dustbin more frequently which the app says is for homes w pets - and one pet peeve Iāve had w every other bot Iāve owned was none of them consistently fully emptied their dustbins - but this one leaves it COMPLETELY empty every time in a month of daily use And itās noticeably quieter than my previous bots
My T90 keeps getting smarter w every update since I put it into use a month ago. I have a cow rug in the living room which of course is very thin and oddly shaped - at first it didnāt know what to make of it and outlined it and completely avoided attempting to clean it identifying it as an obstacle. Today after latest update it identified it as carpet and lifted its mop and cleaned it without getting stuck or flipping up the edges. https://preview.redd.it/z08qsxnvwkug1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cf8f8877a277498863b41aa3e53cf08a10ce51a5
Same with my ecovacs T90 Pro Omni. Only wash the tray every 2 weeks. Roller mops aren't that heavy maintenance.
I was going between the Dreame x50 and the Roborock qrevo curv 2 flow for a long time, until I saw the reviews on www.vacuumwars.com. That, plus all of the personal reviews about terrible customer service, difficulty with warranty work being honored, etc it really turned me off of those models. I decided to go with the Ecovacs T90 Pro Omni instead. It does what I need and has crazy high Pa, the roller mop I was looking for, as well as a hair anti tangle. I don't need a robot that takes pics of my pets or one that has all-terrain wheels. Last I looked, it was on sale at the website for $699. Ultimately, I bought a brand new one, unopened in box, with additional accessories and an extra year warranty on eBay. After looking at places for extended warranties, I found that they're much cheaper on eBay at the time of purchase, so I got an additional 2 years for only $34 through Allstate (formerly Square Trade). In all, I paid $650, plus free shipping and it's arriving tomorrow. Can't wait to clean my floors! Hope this helps!
I returned my eufy s2 in favour of keeping the T90 proā¦the only thing that lets it down is the lack of official auto water refilling and waste water drainage plumbing options for the base station. Outside of that holds it own with the s2 for half the price
Do itā¦Iāve just sent back my Eufy S2 to go back to the T90 Proā¦thereās really no need to spend double the price for āflagshipā featuresā¦the T90 is quieter, reaches the edges, has better navigation, the dustbin empties every time, the dock is low maintenance with a completely removable wash tray, and you never have to clean the onboard dirty water tank which frankly on the s2 was disgusting
So reliability is ok, but my story goes like thisā¦I bought the T90 pro then with absolutely nothing wrong with it fell for the spec sheet of the eufy s2, returned the T90 for the S2, then having used the S2 determined it wasnāt worth the extra, its navigation was stupid and it was a pain to actually maintain, so I returned it for another T90ā¦now hereās the kicker the second T90 had a high pitch electrical buzzing sound that wasnāt normal so I returned that and decided I may aswell try the x12 omnicyclone which I currently have lol thus far my impression of the x12 is that again itās not worth double the price of the T90, infact the T90 does a better job cleaning but the only reason ill probably keep the x12 is my wife loves the fact she can glance at the cyclone bin to see what kids toys have made it into the vacummā¦apparently this is better than sifting through dustbin bags, but i say once its sucked up its gone lol The only thing I donāt like is the lack of an auto refill plumbing kit outside of china, because of this Iāll probably attempt to get the Narwal flow 2 compact dock version. Iāve also ordered xlean TR1 via kickstarterā¦Iāve got a referral link if your interested in that š
T90 pro is the way forward
Sure, well to start Iāve recently owned the Dreame aqua 10 track and Eufy S2. The Dreame was great but couldnāt empty the dustbin correctly and the S2 made me miss the T90 so much I returned the S2 and bought another T90 pro. For half the price of the S2 it does everything the S2 does and more. I have never really been a fan of ecovacs but this machine is greatā¦its navigation is solid, its powerful and quiet, it uses heated water for mopping, the mop extends along walls every time (unlike the s2), its able to successfully empty the dustbin every time with a relatively clean filter, the base station wash tray is a completely sealed and removable unit that you can simply take to the sink and wash making keeping the base station clean really easy..I canāt overstate how great this is, the Eufy and Dreame whilst having removable trays, those trays are almost like a filter you need to go wash, you still have to clean beneath them in the base station, but this is equivalent to being able to remove the entire base for cleaning if that makes sense. Probably the best feature though is the fact the dirty water tank uses an integrated fan to agitate water and self clean. You simply do not need to worry about periodically removing the dirty water tank and giving it a deep clean to avoid smells building up. The Eufy s2 by comparison is very high maintenance, the dirty water tank is designed in such a way there are lots of hard to reach areas where stagnant water can build up and be impossible to clean. I mentioned I bought another T90, I had returned the T90 because I wanted the Eufy S2 so badly for all of the specsā¦but having had that device I immediately regretted my choice, and bought another T90 š¬
I'm using the T90. My girlfriend has long hair, and it's always a pain to clean up. Our previous robot vac picked up hair fine, but the brush would get clogged fast. This year I switched to the T90. We totally sold on the blast airflow it has. It grabs most of hair on the carpet, and our carpet stays clean now. The anti tangle is good. Barely any hair gets wrapped around the brush, we donāt have to worry about cleaning the brush anymore.
