so originally I find that mapping was horrible, it would take several rooms and make it one large room, but going against directions and I did a map with the lights off and it did the best map ever. the AI hosting feature to clean takes forever, like my house is around 2600sq feet and after 13 hours it still wasnt done, it was just thinking way too much. Ive decided to use scenario cleaning only. It's faster and I have more control. I don't like how it uses more water rather than cleaning agent for mopping (I have hardwood floors). The roomba I had previously let me use Bona in their liquid container. You need to good amount of customizations to get things right, but after that, it does clean well, it's quiet and does a decent job. I can't get the matter features to work, it just says it can't find the area selected and goes back. I also wish there was a away mode type of cleaning, so I can pick a area to clean when I leave the home.

My advice is to never buy a robot vacuum at full price there are always deals, so it's worth waiting. The Matrix 10 Ultra is an interesting device, but I wouldn't get it. I think it has potential but in it's current state it's almost pointless, kind of like the Roborock Z70 with its robotic arm. It also takes forever to clean since it has to swap pads, wash them, etc. It's a dumb product, although not as dumb as the Z70. As of today, the robots I would get are the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track and the Ecovacs X11 OmniCyclone. Maybe also the Eufy E28 (Im a bit unsure about this one), but that's mainly because of how easy it is to maintain the roller and the dock. But I would generally recommend basically any good robot that has a massive price gap. Between the top models as they are like 90% as good as the top end for 50% the price. Also, don't get scammed when deal hunting! Always use sites that show price history so you can see if you're actually getting a deal.

I've been using the x11 for a bit now, the mopping has been solid for me, no weird glitches. And the bagless design is way bigger than I expected, so I don't need to clean it after every use.

I'm trying out the X11 right now, doing its first cleaning cycle. So far it's comparable to any of the roller mop flagships but still only the first clean

Hi all, I am interested to hear owners experience with the X11 so far. There have been a lot of questionable reviews with this vac and based on some info I've seen from more trustworthy youtubers it seems to get much better with navigation over time. I am curious to see if any longer-term owners have experienced this as well? (1 month+ of ownership). Also, I've seen mixed results on its corner cleaning ability and general mopping ability (lack of pressure?). Are these reviews accurate or a misunderstanding of how the unit works? I personally saw a lot of poor quality reviews with the Narwal Flow from folks who just didnt know how to use it and I suspect the X11 might be a better vac than some reviews are saying so I wanted to reach out to current owners and see their thoughts. Edit: I've been using it for 2 days now and so far I'm rather satisfied with its performance. The only issue I've had is the AI Stain Detection through it into some kind of mop for 1-2 minutes then wash cycle. My guess is because I have dark floors and I was running it at night with low light, it kept thinking there were stains everywhere. Once I disabled that its been running very consistently. The basestation is pretty cool, I did my first bagless empty which was a little messy but knowing what to except now, it will be much cleaner next time. It's a pretty quiet machine overall, a very nice change from the Dreame Aqua10 or MOVA Z60. Mopping performance is very good, navigation is very good once, obstacle avoidance has been very good. It had a pretty big task on its first cleaning with dried on paw prints and it did really well. The app is a little confusing with some spots of poor grammer making settings unclear. I am trying out the AI mode now, I like that you can see exactly what its doing and why and that you can tell it changes you want to how it handles things.

I have had a mapping issue in that it didn't map one room and I'm trying to figure out how to add that to the map. I may have figured it out. I'll find out the next time I run it. Other than that I really like it.

I extended a wall to add the space however customer service has informed me that the extended space will be read as a no clean area. I can add a "customized zone" in that area and it will clean there. While the extended area has now been saved to the map, the zone will have to be added each time. The other alternative they say is to remap.  I may try your suggestion about placing it there and seeing if I can direct it to clean and see what happens.  Other than this issue I am very happy w/ the actual cleaning.

I've had my X 11 for about a week and I love it. Cleans well. I had a mapping issue and other questions and customer support responded to every email I sent them. It has been a learning curve for me as this is my first robot vacuum in 20 years. I'm a fan.

I totally feel you on not wanting to sweep and mop, that's why I got ecovacs x11. My place has a bunch of rooms, so I need one that knows exactly which room it's in. Once I set it up in the app, it just cleans on its own. It also can empty itself, good for someone like me lazy about cleaning.

Hands down the best I've used. I've had an iHome, Roomba, Shark, and now Ecovacs robot vacuum. In Ecovacs I've had the T30S Combo Complete, T50, X9, and now the X11 Omni Cyclone. I can tell you Pros and Cons in my experience but since this is mainly about the X11, I can tell you that there are way more pros than cons. The only Con that I experienced is the robot would not recognize my black mats and and black rugs. However, this was eliminated as a con with a workaround that I've discovered to force the robot to recognize it. Simply removed the rugs and mats and remapped my home. Once the mapping was complete, I put the rugs and mats back down and now the robot doesn't skip them. Out if my experience, I can tell you the things that stand out to make the X11 my best choice. The mapping is the easiest out of all of them. I'm not sure why but it's very easy to quickly map and customize the map with the X11 even compared to the T series that I had. The dedicated solution dispensers is one of the best features. It has a dispenser for the regular solution and heavy duty solution. You simply put it in once and it will automatically dispense. I've had the X11 now for about a month and I use it every single day and sometimes multiple times per day and I have yet to have to put more solution into the dispensers. Unlike the T30S and T50, I had to put solution into the big clean water tank every single time I had to refill. The battery life of the X11 is great! I can set it to do a deep clean in every room and it still has enough power to do it all over again. The quietness if this unit is one that I absolutely love. I can actually run this unit at night even everyone is in bed and it will not disturb or wake anyone up. This was not possible with the T30S or T50. AI mode is top notch with learning your cleaning habits and setting the exact water flow amount for each floor type. It will also go over it again if it recognizes a spill or dirt on the roller mop. The bagless design. This is the key reason to get it because I had to replace bags like over other month and sometimes monthly. You can kiss those bags goodbye and have that extra money in your pocket. If you have pets or women in the house with shedding hair from brushing it or combing it, I can promise you, hair is absolutely no match for it. I've purposely put hair from brushes down on the floor just to see how this unit does and it hasn't failed me but once. The brush roller always looks good. You can actually set what room gets the heavy duty cleaning solution. I have this set for my main walkway, kitchen, and bathroom. I purchased it as a combo deal with getting both the X11 and Winbot W2 Pro Omni because I a able to get them both for a deal that I couldn't resist since it was already on sale, I had rewards points, I was able to get an upgrade credit, and there was an extra 5% off so it was a no brainer for me. It's well worth the money and you'll probably never think about manually vacuuming or mopping your floors again after the purchase.

The best comparison that I can give on the noise is, it's comparable to a fan on low. To optimize the settings for low noise, you want to make sure you set the robot to clean along the floors so it will go along the longer side of the floor to reduce friction. Make sure when your mapping is set, you set the exact flooring type to make this effective. I've used it between 11 and 2 am when I accidentally set it up to do a deep clean with two passes but really meant to do a quick clean with one pass. This is when I truly noticed how quiet this unit actually is. The one thing that you would want to avoid to keep it quiet at night is have it go over any carpet if you have it set to ramp up when it detects carpet or rugs. At night, I would set it to avoid it or unless you change that carpet setting. The suction power for me at night, I actually have it on strong but quiet and standard will make it almost like a ninja. The strong setting for me is fine because we have our room doors closed and I have it cleaning the main areas with the kitchen being the very last area that it cleans. https://preview.redd.it/529kcjx4yq0g1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=462d9f5bd6028f4f8508d376ce89c04bcd3fc0dc

This is a solid question. You don't have to clean the dirty water tank every single time. However, in my honest opinion I would always empty it after and rinse it out if you do a deep clean and you're using a lot of water flow. How I utilize mine, I tend to have to do this to it everyday or every other day. As far as actually cleaning the tank with soap and water. I set up to do this once a month. You can align it with when you're set up empty or canister just to have a reminder. I make sure I monitor how the dirty water tank looks after every rinse. To control possible smells of it sits in the tank longer than a day when you have to empty it, you can put a cap full of any form of mouth wash in it to help with the smell. I do this every time I have to empty the tank which is why rinsing it is sufficient. You will not smell it even if it sat in the tank for an entire week if you can last that long without having to empty it because it's fully sealed. But the smell may hit you once you open the lid to pour it out.

You're very welcome. Take the plunge and give it a try. Keep in mind that Ecovacs does have a 30 day return period. I would advise to put it to the full test on the features, settings and get it dialed in to get the best out of it. You'll definitely know within 1 - 2 weeks of using it to know if it's a good fit for you. Be sure to get regular and heavy duty solution to put in the robot and keep in mind those pretreatments that I've suggested for sticky floors and stubborn stains. That pretreatment is universal to any robot vacuum.

I currently have the Ecovacs X11 Omni Cyclone which is there latest model. I've had a total of 4 models with them from the T30S Combo Complete, T50 Max Pro Omni, X9, and now the X11. All of these models have mopping pads or rollers. From my experience, the rollers are much better depending on your floors. My home is 3600 sq feet and the X11 covers it nicely with the ability to boost the charge up to about an extra 5% - 6% each thing l time it docks to clean the mopping pads to get an extra boost. The battery life so vary depending on how you set up the robot to clean. If I set up to vacuum only with it set to do a quick clean on standard suction, I would have about 70 - 75% battery after it's done. This would be a single pass. I've never tried it with Vacuum only for two passes. Regarding the quick charging in between times it returns to the station, it will not do a quick charge of you're only vacuuming. The quick charge is only activated if you're using the vacuum and mop mode or mop mode only. The quick charge is initiated when the vacuum returns to clean the mop pads. The lowest I've saw may battery get was to 25% with having it set to do a deep clean and water flow for the mopping roller at 50 which is the max. This was one pass with the vacuum suction set to the Strong and it's also set to ramp up on carpets to the maximum suction whenever it goes over rugs or carpet. I've tried a deep clean with 2 passes and vacuum set to Strong and water flow on 50. It will finish the first pass but the 2nd pass will only finish halfway and it would have to dock to charge for about an hour to finish as it will still get it's quick charge in between. This gives you an idea of what to expect if you decide to go with the X11. The best option for the deep clean is to use the AI hosted agent after the vacuum learns your cleaning habits, floor types, and routines. The AI hosted setting with set it to automatically adjust the water flow based on your floor types versus it being set to high or two low. I haven't tried it yet but I'm pretty confident that I could probably get two passes in deep clean using this setting. I've only done it for one pass only. Since you have such a large home with some serious square footage, I think this would be a great fit for you to cover all of it. Pros: Bagless design Two dedicated solution dispensers for the mopping (One for he regular standard solution and one for the heavy duty solution) Quick mapping (It took the robot about 7 minutes to fully map my entire home at 3600 sq ft) Quick Charging in between sessions when mopping is used Quiet (This comes in handy for me since I set it to run at night as well) Go along the floor to enhance cleaning and reduces possible unwanted noises Easy mapping Flexibility on customizing the room cleaning AI Cleaning based on your floors and cleaning habits Ecovacs rewards for simply using the device to use towards accessories. (I'm set $76 in rewards within 30 days) Quick calibration if you ever have to pick it up. (Out of all of the robot vacuums that I've used, the X11 is the only one that didn't go through a phase of no longer recognizing the mapping and having to remap when picking it up) Great obstacles avoidance Can be used in dark or well lit room Great at going over high thresholds Awesome stain detection especially if using AI mode Cons: Not super fast if you set the settings to go along the floor Not the best with dark colors like black or anything close to it (The robot cliff sensor may be triggered with the robot hesitating to go over large patches of Black but there's a workaround for this) So my con list is only two but technically it's one because the dark color issue has a workaround that's actually a solution. If you have black floor mats or rugs or anything close to it, pick all of them up and let it do the mapping first and then place them back down. The robot will be forced to recognize them because it recognizes it was able to go over that spot previously and you can set it up as a rug or floor mats. If you have picking them up isn't an option because they're too large or is carpet, there's another workaround but understand that mapping may take a bit longer. The workaround for rugs or carpets that are dark that triggers the cliff sensor is to simply map your home at night. Turn off all of the lights in the home and let it rely on is sensors, light, and camera to figure it out. Once this is done you can verify the map and test it out to make sure it recognizes the dark color mats or rugs. Hopefully this information helps to give you an idea of what to expect out of this unit.

I can you some real world feedback. I've had the X11 now for about 2 months and I faithfully use it everyday and sometimes 2 - 3 times per day. It's by far the best robot vacuum and mop combo that I've had. I've had the T30S Combo Complete, T50 Max Omni, X9 Omni, and now the X11. The mixed reviews that you see may honestly be valid reviews but it may also be user error as well. I wasn't impressed with the X11 until I started really digging into the settings. This is what can make it seem like it's not good at all. If you really want to see the benefits of the X11, users don't get familiar with all of the settings and set them accordingly. Mapping with this robot is quick and easy but there are a few things to consider that you may see mixed reviews on. When mapping with the X11, I recommend having obstacles picked up. If you have dark color rugs or mats pick them up as well. You want it to be well lit in your home. In these conditions mapping should be quick and the layout should be just right. If you do not have a well lit home, the next option is to do it completely in the dark with keeping what I've mentioned in mind by removing all obstacles and picking up dark color rugs or mats. Once the mapping is complete, put everything back where it goes. Now the key to this robot is the settings. With the mapping complete, set the floor type, boundaries, no mop zones, divide rooms, combine rooms, and anything else needed to complete the mapping. Put solution in the regular cleaning solution dispenser and heavy duty cleaning solution in that dispenser. If you go into the advanced settings of the station, you can set dedicated areas to use the heavy duty solution. I can't stress this enough but the magic is all in the settings. The robot settings, advanced settings, and station settings. Take your time exploring them. When everything is set and dialed in, this robot is amazing. When cleaning with this robot, you have several options. Quick Clean, Standard Clean, Deep Clean, Scenario Clean, and Agent Hosting clean. These cleanings are not the same at all. Quick clean will do a quick clean. I think of this setting as a broom and a rag. Standard clean will do just that. It does a few extra passes over quick clean. I think if this as a broom, dust pan and rag. Deep clean which is a much better setting that the quick and standard clean with basically 2 passes even if you set it to do one pass. I look at this as a broom, duster, microfiber rag, and a mop. This setting actually sets the mop to put down pressure to clean better which the Quick and Standard option doesn't put pressure down. Scenario clean is basically a combination of all of the cleaning settings mentioned above but you can tailor it to your needs by setting up the rooms you want done first, settings up the vacuum suction to be specific to each room, setting up the water flow for the mopping to be specific to each room. The benefits of this is you can tailor it to your needs and this is good to do on the go. I have about 8 different scenarios set. AI Agent Hosting in a nutshell is all of the cleanings combined in one. The benefits of this is it will give you the best clean and give recommendations on your cleaning habits and adjust itself accordingly. In my opinion, AI mode should not be used until you put at least 10 hours on the robot. This is because it goes by the cleaning logs, settings, habits, and all of the above. This setting is the best because it uses all of the sensors including the camera to detect stains even better. If you use this before cleaning habits are learned, it can take a very long time to clean. However, after your habits are learned, it will clean like a Scenario cleaning. AI mode detects stains better than any mode and it will go over it multiple times if needed versus what you actually set. If your water flow is too high, you'll know because this robot will show signs of liquid spills that the robot was cleaning up. Pro: Bagless Quiet (I use it late at night) Dedicated solution tanks Onboard light to clean in the dark Onboard camera Roller mop Great suction power Quick mapping (Keeping in mind what I mentioned) Easily goes over thresholds Great obstacle avoidance You get rewards just checking in and doing daily task that can go towards any Ecovacs purchase Cons: You may have to prep to map to ensure best mapping Slower than some robots (But it cleans better) Black rugs, mats, and carpet can be a challenge but the workarounds mentioned can be used to resolve this. Overall experience, I'm very satisfied with my investment.

I was making the same decision last week between the same models you've mentioned. Eventually went for the Ecovacs x11 omnicyclone. I was very hesitant as the reviews are mixed, but the scores on vaccumwars sold me. Couldn't be happier. The navigation is impressive as is the hoovering and mop functionality. Some complaints online about the app, but from what I can tell, some users are using an older version which does look poor, but the one I downloaded from Play store is great. Can watch the robot in real-time, full schedules and live mapping etc. Roller mop is also great. I did initially have a problem with it not wetting the roller but figured out that I just hadn't closed the water tank properly - now its very much working. Can't complain, very happy. Will definitely be keeping it if it maintains its performance so far.

Not exactly. X11 just has fewer red flags in these tests, but tests ≠ real life and it’s not cheap. If you’ve got a smaller place and just want basic vacuuming, I’d go cheaper. X11 really only makes sense if you’ve got a bigger home and want strong vac + mopping + pet hair all in one, ideally with a good BF discount.
