Looks like Narwal put out a [$100 off coupon](https://amzn.to/3MoSZcO) to go with their discounted price bringing the total down to $899 now for the Flow. Excellent vacuum all around, I did a full [comparison ](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1p25hqm/dreame_aqua_10_ultra_roller_vs_narwal_flow_ama/)to the Aqua10 if anyone was interested. The reason I bring up the [Ecovacs Deebot X11](https://amzn.to/3LW14FZ) in this post is because I've been testing this for the last week now and I have to say I'm really impressed with its performance. It does a stellar job in vacuuming, navigation, obstacle avoidance and mopping. I also really like the powerboost charging and bagless station way more than I thought I would. The only downside I've found at this point is the AI stain detection is way too sensitive for my dark floors but after toggling that off it's been fine. Just another option to consider at this price range! If I were to rank the current roller mop vacs I've tested so far, I would put them in this order: 1. [Narwal Flow](https://amzn.to/3MoSZcO) \- $899 (best for smooth floors) 2. [Ecovacs Deebot X11](https://amzn.to/3LW14FZ) \- $899 (best for textured floors) 3. [MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller](https://amzn.to/4omH8cC) \- $999 (great all around but questionable longevity) 4. Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller (Not currently for sale, only the "[Roller](https://amzn.to/3XnxlIp)" version is. Questionable with dock leaks and dust bin issues) 5. [Eufy Omni E25](https://amzn.to/4pBPQVz) \- $599 (great all around but not as good mopper as the others) If anyone has questions regarding the vacs I've tested I'll do my best to answer
I'm trying out the X11 right now, doing its first cleaning cycle. So far it's comparable to any of the roller mop flagships but still only the first clean
Hi all, I am interested to hear owners experience with the X11 so far. There have been a lot of questionable reviews with this vac and based on some info I've seen from more trustworthy youtubers it seems to get much better with navigation over time. I am curious to see if any longer-term owners have experienced this as well? (1 month+ of ownership). Also, I've seen mixed results on its corner cleaning ability and general mopping ability (lack of pressure?). Are these reviews accurate or a misunderstanding of how the unit works? I personally saw a lot of poor quality reviews with the Narwal Flow from folks who just didnt know how to use it and I suspect the X11 might be a better vac than some reviews are saying so I wanted to reach out to current owners and see their thoughts. Edit: I've been using it for 2 days now and so far I'm rather satisfied with its performance. The only issue I've had is the AI Stain Detection through it into some kind of mop for 1-2 minutes then wash cycle. My guess is because I have dark floors and I was running it at night with low light, it kept thinking there were stains everywhere. Once I disabled that its been running very consistently. The basestation is pretty cool, I did my first bagless empty which was a little messy but knowing what to except now, it will be much cleaner next time. It's a pretty quiet machine overall, a very nice change from the Dreame Aqua10 or MOVA Z60. Mopping performance is very good, navigation is very good once, obstacle avoidance has been very good. It had a pretty big task on its first cleaning with dried on paw prints and it did really well. The app is a little confusing with some spots of poor grammer making settings unclear. I am trying out the AI mode now, I like that you can see exactly what its doing and why and that you can tell it changes you want to how it handles things.
I had no problem with hair tangles, I was also hesitate because of the brush style being similar to my Eufy x10 which tangled all the time but no issues with the X11.
Narwal Flow, my second pick would be an X11 Ecovacs
Narwal Flow #1 followed by Ecovacs X11 for mopping-first. For Roborock i'd say CurvX is a solid choice for spinning mop pads.
I really liked the X11, my biggest issue with it was terrible AI. It would constantly detect dark floor as stains and loop in an endless mopping cycle. After that I started to run my own preset jobs which worked really well until the roller developed a very loud squeal in which I returned the robot within its return policy. Had it not started squeaking like a mouse was trapped inside the roller drum i'd likely have kept it. I'm really interested in the X12 to see if that has improved.
I bought the X11, flow w/ compact dock, & the saros 10 w/ the drain & fill station. Have had then all for about 2 months & don’t really have complaints with any. Wanted to test them all & the flow & X11 edge out the 10 imho. The best feature for me on the X11 is the bagless dust bin. Have a few dogs so it makes really easy to dump out the dirt & put it back in vs getting a new bag putting it in etc. In regards to your concerns: So far it hasn’t gotten stuck but I also added invisible walls in previous trouble areas for other models but durning mapping it had no issues. No issue finding the charging station I haven’t noticed it randomly stopping & going to a different room. This could be user error where the room has been split & the user selected a different order for the rooms to be cleaned. When I first had it map the house, I have a large room with some kitchen islands that the robot auto segmented as a different room. I didn’t immediately fix it & when I let it clean it did that “room” first & the rest of the room third after cleaning another room second as that was the order I had set in the app. There are some settings you can play with in terms of mop cleaning consistency & emptying the dust bin, I have dogs so I have it return multiple times a cleaning session. Ironically with the X11’s fast charging most of the time it returns to the dock at the end of the cleaning cycle only missing 10% because of its frequent top ups (which are optional). No navigational issues to note.
Ecovacs just launched the X11 that has matter support. In the Home app it lets me swap between vacuum and mop, choose rooms to clean, and HomeKit automations. I was sort of expecting just basic on/off functionality so pleasantly surprised. Only been using for two weeks but so far so good.
Happy with our x11.
It has a canister and not a bag so I empty it out frequently to prevent clogs.
The CurvX is almost $1500 from the Roborock website where I live. They're probably not pushing it for the Swedish market... Funny though, I also returned an EcoVacs X11 just a couple of weeks ago. Honestly, anything would be an upgrade from my S5, but I feel like the price to performance is so random at times. I can get a Qrevo Edge 5V1 for $740 and a Saros 10R for $1540 right now. The Dreames are all over the place too.. I guess I'll see what black friday brings :)
I think it's mainly a QA issue - disregarding the obviously sponsored reviews, it seems pretty split between people being very happy with their purchases and other people experiencing catastrophic failures after a few weeks, with not much inbetween. I've seen tons of positive reviews (from what I've deemed to be real people based on comment history etc) for the Ecovacs x11, but I bought one a little while ago and had to return it after just one day after experiencing all kinds of issues. I think it's the equivalent of the silicon lottery of the computer world. I have an old Roborock S5 that at this point after 6 years is held together by duct tape, but the vacuuming and navigation performance is just as good as on day 1. I feel like it has set the bar a bit too high for me given what I read on here :') I think your best bet is to get one that you think suits your needs, and run it thoroughly while you're able to return it. Depending on where you live there may be different regulations for return windows and warranty depending on if you just changed your mind vs if the product is not behaving as advertised, so do some research on what applies where you live. If you're buying from a physical store then you can always ask them too.
I bought in September love it once you get the hang of scheduling if you use the AI preference you tell it to vacuum first always and let AI agent run on your floors that way it will adjust cleaning
Not sure what model you bought i own the ecovacs x11 while grout cleaning i haven't found one that great.. but roller mops clean well.. rotating pads yes smear across the floor for big spills but a good on caked on stains.. I prefer and use roller mops.. ecovacs and Mova z60 are great mops
I got the standard x11 (the one with bags) delivered on Wednesday. Set it up and the mopping function is broken straight out of the box. Trying to raise a ticket with ecovacs and get timely responses is such a slog though.
Mine won’t even recognise that there is water in th docking station. So it is just a vacuum, which works great, but can’t mop.
My ecovacs x11 handles the mapping well and can clean my house in one go, it's about 2000 sq ft. But your place is too big, it might be struggling with only one robot.
I'd recommend the deebot x11, My place is around 2000 sq ft, and the fast charging really makes a difference for big houses. When you're doing a whole-house cleaning, you'll notice how important it is to avoid long waiting breaks in the middle. I also like that it cleans the roller mop while mopping, so it won't drag a dirty mop around and spread mess from room to roon.
My place is about 2000 sq ft and my deebot x11 can handle it in one run. For a 3500 sq ft home, it would probably need a couple of runs, which is normal for most robots. The good thing is the x11 recharges pretty quickly, so the downtime between runs isn't too long. It might be a bit over your budget, but could be worth checking out.
I got the X11 a while ago, so I’d recommend it just based on my experience. My place is big too, so I needed something with long battery life that could clean the whole house without coming back and recharging it 2-3 times. The X11 can finish cleaning in one go, and it’s awesome at getting the floors clean, no need for extra scrubbing on stuff like sauce stains.
I've been using the x11 for a while now, really like its large dustbin and bagless design. Don't need to empty it as often is a big plus and saves me a lot of hassle.
