Actually, I can understand OP's point to an extent. We've had two Ecovacs Omni X1 and X2's that slowly fail out of use due to sensing, mapping challenges in a rather simple floorplan overtime. Eventually, X1's battery and then the robot itself died despite regular maintenance... and the Best Buy warranty plan replacement (an X2) had worse mapping and just as bad of navigation capabilities. But I've got a new Matic robovac that I've got a much higher level of confidence in (its vision characteristics, locomotive system and the transparency and responsiveness of its product group combined with consistent update additions!) running on a predominantly vacuum (nightly basis) schedule and then once a week vac+mop on a certain day.
I use a thin, organic dish soap that doesnt bubble? Lily Farms I think it is. X20 Omni I wash the tank every Saturday (both tanks) after I use my Eufy. So once a week. It never gets gummy. I use only 2-3 squirts / pumps of dish soap. 1/3-ish of the tank is orgranic white vinegar, the rest water. Then after I pump the soap on top I mix it slightly and it’s good to go for another week. I have 2 longhaired cats, and I personally shed… and vacuum twice a week.
I've got an ecovac deebot X2 and it does mopping and even has a heated air dry for them. Had it over a year with no issues.
Agree with this. I had an x2 Omni that when new, was fantastic. I run it nightly. Cleaned the robot and the base station once a week. Slowly it started having more and more issues. It was a constant babysitting job. Eventually it refused to dock. It would go in and out in and out but never stay put. Tried all the troubleshooting I could find. Then it started vibrating like crazy. Attempted to replace the driving wheels and ended up giving up and just binning the whole thing. Currently have a Roborock Qrevo edge that has been absolutely fantastic for the last 6 weeks. Sometimes it feels like a disposable product with planned obsolescence.
I've had it for a few years now. I'd say if you have small rugs in your house, then no. The navigation is a little clunky sometimes but it gets the job done.
I had my deebot x2 for almost 3 years and still going strong. Barely have to babysit it, often just start it from the app while I'm working. Seems reliable to me.
Hello all, I currently have an Ecovacs X2 Omni that ecovacs has agreed to refund after 12 months, due to charging exception faults that they cannot fix they have had the unit for 12 weeks and finally agreed to refund it. It was great for 12 months. I have a mix of tiles and carpet. I am after both mopping and vacuuming. I'm prepared to spend up to $2500 aid for something decent.
Definitely NOT the Ecovacs Omni X2. Very poor map making, very noisy on hard floors and sloppy edge cleaning. Fortunately I bought an extended warranty and after 2 years they paid me out in full. No experience with the others in your list
We have had the Ecovacs X2 Combo for nearly 2 years and have been very pleased. Mainly chose this model due to the fact that it has a cordless wand style vacuum (which also auto empties like the robot) with attachments for quick cleanups on the couch or vacuuming the stairs. The app has worked great so far and it is ‘Matter’ equipped so I was able to add it to our Apple Home easily. Only downside for us (which is really just us being lazy) is frequency of water tank filling and emptying. I have our mop setting on max water level, so we only get about a week before needing to empty and refill, and that’s in a smaller townhouse.
I got one for 250 and think at that price it’s unbeatable, just make sure you have an option to return bc their QC was seemingly not great on that model
