I feel you need to get one without a second thought. Even I was in the same dilemma. But still went ahead and got an Ecovas N20 PRO. They are really helpful for dry cleaning. You will feel the difference in the first use itself. But the mopping sucks, maybe once in a week you can mop and robo can maintain that till the next week. I would recommend you to go with RVC which are under 25k. Since you are considering under 30k, usually RVCs higher than 30 to 40K, have a good mopping function.
When purchasing RVC looks for
* High suction power. ( especially the one under 30k)
* minimum of 7 days of dust collection
* Avoid models which require replacement of dust bags. Since this adds up to the maintenance cost
The usual life of RVC is about 3 - 4 years. So spending 20-25k shouldn't be an issue considering the amount of work which you are doing
I got a n20 pro plus, which is quite similar to this one. It gets the job done. Although for that price range, I can’t expect more. It doesn’t have the latest tech that can avoid stuff lying of the floor. So you have toys or slippers, it may drags it around. But I never saw it stucks on those, so probably not a big issue.
One thing to note is the overhead clearance. Mine can’t go to the under bed because the hanging frabic under the bed touches the head of the robot. So it completely ignored the bed 😅
We had the N8 for three years until it was dropped. Bought a cheaper version for £130 and it’s not where near as good as the Ecovacs this n20 is also on Amazon at £70 cheaper than the Plus version as a basic version and if you’ve never had one before you’ll be very impressed with that in itself. The ‘plus’ still needs something emptied at some point. Go for the basic.
They do not have to be expensive and we just picked up a Ecovax Deebot N20 Pro Plus today with the Pro version winning ['best budget robovac' of 2024](https://vacuumwars.com/ecovacs-deebot-n20-plus-review/). It has exceeded our expectations with excellent vacuuming and mopping and then seeing it do both tasks at once was awesome. It's still early days but it makes me confused why I waited so long.
Most will be able to be scheduled to vacuum every 2nd day and I think it is meaningful to get a mid-budget range for the first outing unless money is burning a hole in your pocket.
Ecovacs is also an option using https://github.com/bmartin5692/bumper, and shouldn't require modifying the vacuum itself.

Here are my 2 cents: the n20**e** plus has more kpa than the standard n20 plus and n20 pro, also be aware that the accessories are different, like the main brush and filter are the same as the n30 and the ones from n20/pro are not compatible.
For the rest I'm ok with it, I barely use the mopping function cause it's useless, the suction is great and also the base without the bag does the job.
I think it should cost less, my eureka n10s costs about half the price (139€ vs 289€), ok that it's only 4000kpa vs 10000 kpa of the ecovacs, but does a better job at mapping, the "mop" raises on the carpets, and I think the app in general is better.
