I got an Ecovacs N30 Omni through Facebook marketplace for $220 brand new. I know it is inferior to Roborock, but not bad for the price.

My concerns with software is mostly to do with updates and features. I like being able to modify zones as needed and set flooring directions. And anything that can effectively map furniture and navigate around it. Have LOTS of bar stools on the island and breakfast bar. I actually ended up trying out the ecovacs and it was struggling so it will be going back… also the ecovacs app it’s pretty featureless.

They agreed to replace it and sent a second. It would not connect to their cloud. Of course, the customer service rep accused me of stealing from the company. I told him i didn't want to keep the first one and would gladly send it back on their dime. They declined. Wireshark showed it transmitting gooblety gook and failing to make the handshake with their servers. I had to send a video proving that i attempted to connect it. I even sent the wireshark capture, which I think is well above and beyond consumer level troubleshooting. So they sent me a 3rd one. Still coil whine, although noticeably less. For the dollar amount, there should NOT be a coil whine. Low-end solid state electronics at play. So if you want a nice constant whine in your quiet room, buy Ecovacs! They will even throw in an accusation of theft for free!

Their customer care is quick, whatsapp responses immediately and resolution are within a day itself. And they are served by Frootle, which got a shop+service center in Kakkanad. Overall, highly recommended

I agree with others, if you want to use it on multiple floors but don’t want to carry it around all the time, it’s best to get two units. Or you can just move the station to the floor you want it to clean, so you only have to move it once and still get all the features.
