r/RobotVacuumsWhat did you finally end up getting on Prime Day?

I was considering a Dreame X50 Ultra, but I ended up getting a pair of Switchbot K10+ robots. I already had Ecovacs N8 Pro+ that I picked up in 2021, and the biggest issue I have with that robot is has a lot of trouble getting around the table and chair legs in my dining room. I ended up making my dining room a "no-go-zone" on my main floor of my house because it would often get stuck when the chairs are under the table, creating a complicated obstacle course for a standard-size robot vacuum. I'm pleased to report that the small size of the K10+ is its superpower! Sure, it doesn't mop well, but that wasn't the most important factor to me. In the "survival of the fittest", small wins. It successfully vacuums everywhere. I have 3 floors in my house, and now I have a robovac for each of them. And you can't complain about the price! I was also pleasantly surprised by how quiet the K10+ is when it's operating. On the negative side of the leger I was unable to get the Android version of the Switchbot app to work properly. I pulled out my iPad and tried that, and it worked perfectly the first attempt. So, yeah. the Switchbot Android app has some showstopper bugs.

Whichever you get, run it every single day. I found mine runs terrible if I run it every other day (tangled brushes, clogged bin, stuck machine). It was so much better once I said fuck it, and ran it every single day. Unless you are willing to vacuum yourself sometimes, the robot vacuum does a better job getting set to autoclean every day. Mine was a Deebot Ecovac N8 Pro+, and I had 2 dogs: a husky and an Australian Shepherd mix. You will still get tangled brushes, clogged bins, and stick machines sometimes.

r/KochiAnybody using robotic vaccum cleaner? Which brand is good and has good after sales service in Kochi/Kerala?

I have Ecovacs N8 plus (aging, about to retire), N30 and X8 in two floors. Pretty happy with product and support network in Kochi. Their customer care is quick, whatsapp responses immediately and resolution are within a day itself. And they are served by Frootle, which got a shop+service center in Kakkanad. Overall, highly recommended

Not much idea about N20 and Y1. Ecovacs is better on more upmarket models. MI or Eureka is better on starting models (VFM). That’s what I learned from N8 usage. Previously I had iRobot, N8 being a half a decade newer model had nothing much on value addition except for a base station with dustbag.

Very happy with my Ecovacs N8+. Whatever you get make sure it has floor mapping and doesn't just bounce around dumbly.

r/homeownersDo any of you use robovac? worth it or just a scam?

I have the DeeBot N8+ I believe. We have two dogs who constantly shed. My main issue with the vacuum is it doesn't suck all the hair out when it goes to self empty itself. So I have to manually stop it, take the tray out and dump it. Not a huge deal, but feel as though it should be able to self empty itself since it has that feature. It also mops, but I haven't tried it. We have so many different rugs, carpets and transitions in our home, just seems like it would be a pain. Im looking at getting another robot vac to handle all the bedrooms and let the DeeBot take care of the living room, kitchen etc. Going to look at what Costco sells.

Same model here, I had to replace the main brush motor after a couple years. My main complaint is that it's bad at locating itself and it's a pain to restore maps when it messes up.

I can’t speak to the reliability of the deebot x8 specifically, but I have a deebot n8+ since 2021 and I’ve had to replace the LiDAR module twice and the wheels once

\+1 to that, had to remap my house almost monthly on a Deebot N8+, was a pain. Switched to a Roborock Q Revo MaxQ and have had a much better experience with it
