Hello team, My home is 100% carpet free compromising of tiles only in 2 bathrooms and toilet and rest of home is laminate. Here in New Zealand, I can get Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Roomba easily. I currently have Ecovacs Osmo 950 which I am not happy with. I have never used its mopping function and the vacuum works ok but a lot of hair gets tangled in brushes, internal bin is small and there is no big bin in dock to empty internal bin into so Inhave to empty is everyday. Also the mapping sucks. It screws up my mapping too often. I have 2 questions. 1. What is the best vacuum only robot? 2. What is the best vacuum + mop only robot? I can get Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow, Saros 10R, Saros 10 etc, Ecovacs X11 Omni, Dreame Matrix 10, X series etc. A huge range is available here from these models. Ideally something which I don't have to worry about maintaining for 3 or 4 days would be good. Long hair is an issue with 2 girls in the house + a kitten. Kids make a mess on the laminate floors after every meal.
I’ve had the 9x for a couple of days and straight out of the box the mop isn’t functioning properly. Mop isn’t extending to clean edges. I’m going to watch a couple of videos to make sure I’m not missing something I need to do for the mop to use the true edge adaptive mopping. I bought this model based on vacuum war’s rating and I really want it to work
The roller mop is probably better in terms of cleaning results. If you get one with a station, it can wash and dry itself. I usually just wait for the deebot to finish, let the roller mop clean and dry itself, and then do a quick check to make sure there’s nothing left on it.
Just ordered the Roborock Qrevo Curv X this morning with the Black Friday sale. We used to have a cheaper Ecovacs Deebot and hated it/sold it because it would get stuck all the time on our carpets and couldn't get over our bathroom threshold. We recently moved into a multi story unit with hardwood floors and excited to see how this new one goes.
I have a ecovacs deebot. I've had it a year and a half and have had to replace the brushes on it twice. It's ok to stretch out the vacuuming I have to do with my dyson, but I still need to vacuum about once a week. Twice a week during high shed seasons. It has a mop attachment, but I don't use it as my kitchen and bathrooms are small and the rest of my house is carpet.
I think it's worth trying a robot vacuum. We bought an ecovacs deebot last year and it feels pretty hands free since I got it. We let the robot handle almost all the floor cleaning work for us. Using a handheld machine, even if its handy there's still a time cost problem with it.
Can your parrots roam freely around the house? My two can only stay in the bird room, so there're always feathers and bits of seeds on the floor. When I run my ecovacs deebot, I just let it clean the bird room too. After that, I don't really need to clean it again myself.
I’ll never ever gonna buy Ecovacs again. Cheap parts, horrible app, just overall a very frustrating experience.
