I just unboxed and am running now. I have 3 Austrian Shepard's and it seems to be doing great at handing the hair, which was my #1 priority. It's such a vast improvement over my constantly clogging, dirt spreading, Ecovacs DEEBOT T8 AIVI that I wouldn't know any cons if I saw them.
r/Roborock • Saros 10R 24 Hour Review ->Had a Roborock S5 for about 4 years, worked great but wanted auto empty. Had Deebot T8 AIVI I got refurb on ebay for $120, had it for two years and worked amazingly but sucked up dog poop (lol) so it's been sitting. I just ordered an X1 plus, also from Ecovac's official eBay refurb for $170, supposed to come today! I used to be a big Roborock fan boy and recommended them to all my friends but imo they have gotten too expensive and too complicated. Auto mopping isn't that important to me... because i have pets I have to use my crosswave several times a week.
r/RobotVacuums • robot vacs you've used for YEARS ->I like Roborock, but to be fair, Ecovacs does work, at least not worse than Roborock for me. My Roborock S5 is slowly retiring. It used to clean the bedroom's floor, then went downstairs to the living room's first floor, and now it is on a partial retirement in the office room - smallest and easiest to clean :) Downstairs is Ecovacs T8 OZMO, which runs daily, with almost 3,000 runs in its lifetime. Not a single problem! Upstairs is Ecovacs X1 Omni, which runs 2-3 times a week, mopping. No complaints in the last 2 years, never gave me any trouble.
r/ecovacs • Old vs new one 😌 ->Hej Reddit! I would greatly appreciate some recommendations for a robot vaccum that can handle a threshold that is raised extra much. There are two of them right after each other by bathroom doorway. The first one is 1cm (0.39 inches) and the one that follows is 2.6 cm (1inch). I had an Ecovacs Deebot ozmo T8 which unfortunately could not handle that. Thanks in advance!
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendations for vaccums that manage to "jump" over raised thresholds ->How is the mapping on Ecovacs now? I used to have a T8 and it was awful. The map would constantly get messed up and I would have to make it remap my house every week. It was awful at remapping and I would have to babysit it for hours while it did it. I ended up getting a Roborock Qrevo which has been amazing. I’ve had it a few years and never had to redo the map due to issues with the robot. The one I did have to remap was when I got it back from being serviced, and it perfectly mapped out my entire house on its own in under 30 minutes without me babysitting it. I’m mainly looking for a good mop, so I would be open to Ecovacs again if it’s actually improved now.
r/RobotVacuums • Ecovacs is DOMINATING Our New Mopping Tests (4 out of the top 5 are Ecovacs) ->So in short, looks like my deebot T8 has hit it's end. some reason it's map just went crazy where it flips 45 degrees randomly in the process of cleaning, rendering it very random, and in addition it's roller would jam horribly with our husky hair to the point that I had to clean out the roller twice a day just to keep up. Anyway now I'm about to have 500-600 or so to put into a new vacuum. I'm a big home automation fan, love my homeassistant setup. I'd like something that I can directly tie into home assistant to tell it to clean a specific room etc.., and I'd like something that handles or avoids pet hair tangles as much as possible, we have 3 dogs, one of them a husky that sheds like crazy. The Ecovacs L60 was a big positive to me on looking, with the blades that cut hair off the roller on the base station. Which reviews seem to go both ways on, some saying it works well consistantly, some saying it does nothing. I'm seeing generally good opinions on the roborock q5, and from what I'm seeing roborock has the best compatibility in home assistant. Mopping sounds kind of nice, but getting pet hair and dirt up is far higher priority, I know there's a post like this every month or so, but so far most of the recent ones I'm seeing are "money no object", and haven't seen one that really weighed in home assistant compatibility.
r/RobotVacuums • advice on Mid ranged vacuum, heavy pet hair, home assistant friendly ->Dont forget that reddit, especially subreddits like these, are riddled with bots astroturfing their products, shitting on others. The collective negative sentiment to Ecovacs can as well just be manufactured, its basically impossible to tell. Had mine 4 years, T8 ozmo, mopping sucked balls, vacuuming was okay, navigation allright. Stopped using it when the drop sensors stopped working suddenly, which considering its not even mechanical part, was kinda a bummer.
r/RobotVacuums • Are Ecovacs robovacs really that bad? ->Just upgraded to the X9. I previously had the T8 since 2020. Huge upgrade, and I have been very happy.
r/ecovacs • Which Ecovacs model do you think is the best among all? ->I'm uneasy about getting a robot hooked into the plumbing when I've yet to have one (besides a Roomba) last more than a year. My Deebot T8 had 2 wheel failures within a year then the 3rd died just after the warranty My Roborock S8 Pro Ultra charging error (known issue for years going back to S5) then the fan motor died. My first Q Revo Curv started having docking issues after just a week and eventually failed to recognize the dock at all. Now on my 2nd unit
r/Roborock • Best robo vacuum under 1500 ->Robot Vacuum is a huge win. I thought it was stupid when the first ones came out and just bounced randomly but they have come a looong way. My current robot has a vibrator attached to the mop to scrub it better than I will ever bother.
r/daddit • Which house services give you the most time back? ->I know that would be the joke when I said it but it's true though > Electronic mop vibrates up to 480 times/minute to provide a deep clean and scrub away stubborn stains like dried liquids and pet prints. https://www.ecovacs.com/us/deebot-winbot-accessories/ozmo-pro
r/daddit • Which house services give you the most time back? ->Maybe?. I had a shitty one before. The object avoidance makes a huge difference. I don't have to move anything, or clear the floors. It avoids cords, and most toys. Mine lets you set up no-go zones in the app so I don't worry about doors either. Whether my daughter's room is open, or not, it won't go in where her toys are
r/daddit • Which house services give you the most time back? ->Hi Amanda! Maybe you can provide a bit of guidance for me? I’ve been researching, but it’s overwhelming lol. I currently have ecovacs t8 which vacuums fine, but the moping is a joke. My main floor is large, but split, sunken portion and elevated. It’s all LVP with some large rugs. 3 person household with no pets currently, but that may change. I really want something that mops well within a $700 budget.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy ->Ecovacs. Been using for past 4 years.
r/BuyItForLifeIndia • Which is the best Robot Vacuum Cleaner for Indian homes under 60-70k ->https://preview.redd.it/4o9xnz86x7wf1.jpeg?width=1206&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eac18308da67ecfb0df1ed75c9ade995a1093fa9 Ozmo T8 Very reliable. Had to change the driving wheel.
r/BuyItForLifeIndia • Which is the best Robot Vacuum Cleaner for Indian homes under 60-70k ->I have 2 for my 2 floored home.
r/BuyItForLifeIndia • Which is the best Robot Vacuum Cleaner for Indian homes under 60-70k ->We have had an ecovac T8 for 3+ years and are honestly surprised by how good it has been. The mapping feature works great. Our only complaint is a wheel broke and they won’t sell us a replacement part so we need to buy a new unit... But for a cheap robot vacuum it performs really nicely!
r/RobotVacuums • Need Real Feedback Before I Drop $$$ – Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Eufy… (or Others) - Help Me Decide ->true, last deebot i had was a t8 aivi+, the app and the robot were a pos. shouldve bought an s5 max/s6 maxv instead 🤦♂️
r/Roborock • How does one decide which Roborock to get ->My T8 is 4-5 and works as new. It doesn’t get used daily but no problems at all aside from the occasional forgetting of the map. I’ve just ordered a T50 Pro and the T8 will be designated for upstairs usage.
r/ecovacs • Are the T50 robot vacuums really so terrible? ->I live by mine. Deebot with self emptying. Has full map and Lidar so barely gets caught. Starts when I leave home and when I return it docks and empties. I barely see it.
r/IsItBullshit • IsItBullshit: are robot vacuums actually good and worth the money? ->We started with one iRobot, it worked great! Later decided on a brava (iRobot mop) and it worked amazingly! I was in my doctorate program and didn’t have time to clean the floors. We have two small dogs and five children. The floors are one thing I don’t have to worry about anymore. We recently moved and purchased two combo vacuum and mop, one is iRobot and the other is ecovacs. I like the ecovac more, it seems smarter, however they both do a great job. We have three stories so there are robot vacuum on each floor, they run every day, this keeps the stairs pretty clean and I vacuum the stairs once a week. Our original robot is eight years old and runs fine with daily use.
r/homeowners • Are robot vacuums worth it? I’ve got 4 small kids and I’m always sweeping up the kitchen. Now I have a crawling baby so I’m thinking about getting a robot vacuum, preferably the mop/vacuum kind but they are so expensive! Curious if they are worth it and an investment. ->I run my whole smart home primarily on smartthings, about 150 devices, so it can definitely work as a great platform. One of the problems though, is that any premium device type that Samsung makes (Washer, dryer, vacuum, tv) they always make the third party integrations either not function or be pretty much useless if it does. They want you to buy the Samsung stuff at a $$ premium. For a vacuum I use an ecovacs vacuum mop combo. It doesn't work with smartthings, but because my robot vacuum doesn't really need to interact with anything else, it's never been an issue. Highly recommend ecovacs, roborock, or eufy as brands.
r/SmartThings • Setting up my first smart home with SmartThings – and looking for a robot-vac recommendation ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
