Man, I have said it elsewhere. Robotic vaccum cleaners are scams and not suitable for Indian households especially if you got kids. Don't go by all the YouTube and insta reviews. They all got paid On a long term, a maid will be cheaper and better. For example, a maid at my society in Bangalore charges 1500 per month for brooming and mopping a 3bhk. She does a decent job, covers all the nooks and corners, and moves things to broom. Now compare it with the ecovacs I had purchased, it was 70k. Doesn't cover the corners, the mopping is horrible, a small item like a piece of tissue paper somewhere on the path will jam, you need to keep all the floor space clean and after all that, once in a week you need to detangle all the hairs stuck. For this price, I can pay a maid for 3.5 years. Now the brush, the mop and all that will slowly give away within an year, and you will end up spending another few 1000 every year. Add to this any electrical mechanical failures. If you are an introvert or doesn't like someone at your space, you can use it. But it doesn't even come close to a human cleaning.
We got a Eufy vacuum only a few years ago and after having to sweep everyday due to having 2 dogs and a cat, it was this amazing luxury I couldn't even imagine. It ran really well for a long time. Then it did need to be replaced. We got the same model but this one had some issues rather soon. The remote stopped working which was a little important since i had a non mapping model. I still ran it but it would push dining room chairs around, get stuck on the base of our fan and cat scratcher. During Prime we splurged on a Ecovac Deebot that mops. Wow it is such an upgrade from what we 1st started with. We are really happy with its performance, my floors have never been so nicely maintained. Totally worth it.
I have an ecovacs deebot forget the specific version but I watched https://vacuumwars.com/ and it was pretty well regarded at the time. The big thing you kinda need to understand about robovacs and their cousins, automowers, is that these don't necessarily replace your vacuum. They compliment it and reduce the number of times you vacuum. It's more of a maintainence mindset. That said, I've personally had no issue with dog fur being picked up. I have a shiba so he has an undercoat and his fur comes off in tufts all year. I just run it once a day and it picks up most everything. Whatever robo vac you get, you may need to do a thorough clean before running it for the first time and I recommend having it run once a day or once every other day and spot vacuum any sections that seem to be getting missed. Also do yourself a favor and make absolutely sure the one you get has a charging base that doubles as a vacuum tank. These things don't hold a lot so that'll save you a lot of time emptying the robot itself. They'll vacuum and then empty into their respective dustbin
I feel you on the 2 kids + 3 pets struggle, floors are basically a combat zone. If the Qrevo isn't doing it for you, definitely check out the Ecovacs Deebot line (especially the T series when on sale). Their "Ozmo" mopping tech is a beast for sticky messes and pet tracks. You can often snag them under $500, and they might actually give you the "oomph" you're missing.
Ok so I have bought 3 robovacs in the last month. a cheap roborock with no dock, a j15 ultra and a ecovacs omni. By far the best mapping was roborock. But the other two vacs are better as they mop and have docks. The eureka j15 pro ultra is the best but the ecovacs isn't much worse for half the price. I paid 250 for the roborock, 650 for the ecovacs and 1200 for the eureka j15. My favourite is the j15 pro ultra and its not much different to the j15 ultra going for 900 now. The battery lasts way longer than the ecovacs omni but both do about the same level of cleaning. I run both mine twice a day just to see how they go and my floors have never been cleaner, whatever way you go a robot vac is awesome. Just schedule in and it cleans, best m9ney I've spent in a while. And yes I do need a couple as I have a large house. This is australia pricing aswell and I bought on the Amazon sales so they were cheap.
