"The AceClean dryboard (its mop pad cleaning tray) on these models is currently the best self cleaning mop tray that can clean its mops as the only maintenance required is to occasionally clean a removable palm-sized drainage filter and wipe down the flat dryboard (no nooks and crannies for dirt to hide)."

"The Anti-Tangle brush is actually Anti-Tangle. All my previous vacuums would get hair tangled in a single run - I'd clean them at least once a week (neato way more) to get all the hair out. "stopped doing edges ... each week it got worse at navigation, essentially only doing half rooms ... stopped sweeping and mopping anywhere it transitioned from rug to floor ... It would leave 2 ft circumference around every rug unswept which was horrible near dog doors and the rug in front of them (main reason I got vacuum!) ... "I have the Ecovacs Deebot T30 (allegedly the same robot) and I have the same issue. ... every time it returns to its dock to empty the onboard bin (4-5 times per cleaning) I have to open the lid and physically remove huge clumps of hair from the port that connects the onboard bin to the brush. ... This tells me that the vacuum likely looses suction power early on due to the blockage and is just pushing debris around until I clear it manually."
I also have a t30. And for the most part I’m happy. I’m just a bit frustrated since sometimes I notice streaks on my floors after a couple of weeks. I’ve changed the amount of water distributed but it hasn’t made a difference. I replace the mops once a week and wash the old ones and usually look brand new when I take them out. So that’s my main issue. My floor is also terrible that you literally just look at it then it gets dirty.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame is a scam ->Yeah, more expensive ones might be better, but that doesn’t mean we all need to spend so much. I got my ecovacs t30s for around 500 bucks, and I use it to vacuum my rugs and mop the hardwood floors. I just do a few things after using it, like refilling the water tank, changing the dust bag every month or two.
r/RobotVacuums • First time buying a robot vacuum, recommendations needed ->I got an ecovacs t30 and it definitely did a good job on keeping my floor clean, no hair tangle issue so far. Imo auto emptying and auto mop washing is a must, and it's quite enough for daily cleaning routine. But if you have low furniture clearance, then ecovacs t50 pro might be a better alternative.

r/RobotVacuums • What robovac would be best for 3 long haired dogs? ->Just to say, we bought an ecovac t30 omni but had to return it within a month of purchasing. After returning it to Good guys, they then revealed to us that they are the most returned brand of robo vacs so... my suggestion, stay away from ecovacs. Their instructions, and troubleshooting is not very clear / helpful either.

Ecovacs answer was to turn off the radar which I did. It then gets trapped in the roller. There’s no cutting mechanism so it blocks up quickly and the vacuum isn’t powerful enough to suck it into its storage area. Pretty disappointed. I’m not talking about a big clunk of hair either.

r/ecovacs • T30 or T50, which one would be a better choice? ->It’s mostly hardwood in my place, but about 60% of the floor is covered with rugs. I’m using a deebot t30s to handle the cleaning, and I hardly have issues with the dustbin getting stuck. In fact, I haven’t really needed to clean the dustbin inside the robot much; I mostly just change the dust bag at the dock.

r/Frugal • Is it worth paying more for a robot vacuum if it makes cleaning easier? ->Longtime Neato, Roomba, and Braava owner here. Tried smarter bots and found the Ecovacs Deebot T30S disappointing but am very happy with two Dreame X50 Ultra bots, one white and one black. My Roomba 980 and Neato XV Signature Pro are still good for turning loose in areas the new ones can't get to by themselves. Tried a new Roomba Combo to future-proof those areas but it was basically a downgrade. We wore out the little Braava 380t, but I haven't looked for parts because the Dreame bots do a much better job with much less effort from me.

I don't think much of the features or the quality, but Ecovacs did replace my Deebot T30S when the dock started leaking. The replacement is for sale now because I've moved on to Dreame, but I may try an Ecovacs window bot as they seem to have unique expertise in that area.

I haven't tried the top-of-the-line Ecovacs but I had a midrange T30S and the Dreame X50 Ultra is so vastly superior I bought a second one to replace the Ecovacs.
r/RobotVacuums • Too many Black Friday robot vac deals… which one's actually worth it? ->I had a T30S which is a mid-range model so this is not a 1-to-1 comparison with the top-of-the-line Dreame X50 Ultra. I suspect T50 is also mid-range and that something like the Ecovacs X90 would be a better comparison. Having said that, I'll just say that the T30S drop sensors, optical encoders, climbing, navigation, mapping and app features are inferior to the X50 Ultra's. When the T30S dock sprung a leak, Ecovacs would not engage with me about a replacement part and just replaced the whole package — a leak and a swap being situation normal with any of these Chinese brands — so since I was going to lose the map anyway I decided to replace the replacement with a second Dreame X50 Ultra. Have not regretted it one bit.

It’s also a de facto flagship robot at the same price range as the other two which are mid range robots and will blow them out of the water. The roborock QX Revo only has structured light which isn’t very good for obstacle avoidance anyway. The ecovacs has pretty bad obstacle avoidance too but this is mainly due to a lack of an LED fill light and poor firmware. https://youtu.be/wbkEQ03wZEM When i run everyday to vacuum first then mop, the floors were noticeably cleaner and my wood floors had a sheen to them and felt softer over time. Much more barefoot friendly if you ask me.

As for less maintenance, the MOVA P10 pro ultra has a self cleaning mop washboard which is the same as the L40 which generally moves most dirt and dust to the drainage area.
