"The mop heads spin, so they’re actually cleaning and not just getting the floor wet."

"cleans the mop heads during cleaning ... It also cleans the mop heads during cleaning. So you can set it to mop for a certain amount of time, and then it will return to the base and clean its own mop heads with hot water, then set out again."

"Totally agreed with the zero tangle part. ... I haven't ran into any hair tangled issues with my Ecovacs T30."

"I hardly have issues with the dustbin getting stuck. ... In fact, I haven’t really needed to clean the dustbin inside the robot much; I mostly just change the dust bag at the dock."

"Starts when I leave home and when I return it docks and empties. ... I barely see it."

"Imo auto emptying and auto mop washing is a must"

"It gives up quickly and does not map well. ... For example, first time out, it was unable to leave the kitchen. ... So it mapped the kitchen and a space outside the kitchen that it could see was called a room. But it was only able to see 30% of the actual room. ... It did not update the map as the dreame would each run. ... Sent out for a remap. Got the center room and failed to get the hallway that did not have a threshold to cross, got 20% of another room it could't get in and didn't place a wall where there was a wall."

"It had a hard time with the thresholds. ... Did not make it over established ramps that the Roomba's (2 different) and the Dreame made without a problem. ... This resulted in a bad map. ... Once the room showed on a map, you could send it to that room and it would jump the threshold 2 out of 3 times. But it had only looked through the door and saw half the room. So it would either mop/vac half the room or get lost when it got to the section it had not mapped. ... It did not update the maps as it went. So it was not possible to get a 'good' map. ... It had trouble with all but one of the thresholds. ... My thresholds are all 3/4" or higher. At least one is a full inch or better. T30 AI is rated to 20mm which is just over 3/4 of an inch."

"The ecovacs has pretty bad obstacle avoidance too but this is mainly due to a lack of an LED fill light and poor firmware."

"Doesn’t work for me. I have a husky so a bit of dog hair and it struggles. ... It goes around it as if it’s an obstruction. ... It then gets trapped in the roller. ... There’s no cutting mechanism so it blocks up quickly and the vacuum isn’t powerful enough to suck it into its storage area. ... I’m not talking about a big clunk of hair either."

"I have the Ecovacs Deebot T30 (allegedly the same robot) and I have the same issue. ... every time it returns to its dock to empty the onboard bin (4-5 times per cleaning) I have to open the lid and physically remove huge clumps of hair from the port that connects the onboard bin to the brush. ... This tells me that the vacuum likely looses suction power early on due to the blockage and is just pushing debris around until I clear it manually."

Got the ecovacs T30 Omni pro. Does a good job on a big floor with lots of cats. But it's only a month old. Previous roborock S5 max worked for 5 years and was robust (but the wheel entangled in something and I couldn't fix it... ). But we never used the mop on it.

Got the e28 too. Glad with my choice (here I got it for 880€ with a 12% discount). Arrived Sunday. For reference, I had an ecovacs T30, the station was louder when drying the pads. Overall the station is loud just when sucking the dirt out of the robot, for the rest, it's really quiet. Genuinely very quiet even at max compared to my previous vacuums. The main problem is the apps to me. Multiple apps, the one working the best is not the Eufy Clean, but the Eufy security. I couldn't remap things on the first one. But I can't get the matter code on the second one... The standalone machine is cool too. Not very practical since you need to move around with the wire. But it's efficient enough for me. Also integration into home assistant (for those who are interested) isn't yet done for E series. I am gonna try to add it if I get time.

I would avoid the ecovacs one. Got the T30 died in less than 3 months. It's the lottery with them. Roborock has been a solid choice for me. Never tried any dreame one so I can't say.

Eufy everyday against ecovacs. T30 was very overpriced for the quality. It's the lottery with their product and customer service. E28 (same as e25) is a breeze compared to the T30.

I've a Ecovacs T30s Pro OMNI. Firstly the service has been really good in Bangalore, where I'm at.   Just last week called for a service to de-dust the internal electronics thinking it might have gone inside after this long (because usually dust is the reason these things fail). The technician came very next day and he opened it up and surprisingly it was really clean but what little dust was collected we blew it off using an air blower. Have not had another issues as such personally.  Bought it in Jan of this year. Initially spares were not available and the OEM ones were expensive so waited for a couple of months and many 3rd party ones popped up. Spares right now are very affordable and I'm using some 3rd party and it works fine.  Maintenance: 1. Once a week clean out the dirty water and refill the clean water. (~10m) 2. Once in 2 weeks clean the robot itself and clean the mop pads. (~30m) 3. Whenever the part replacement alarm comes up change those after inspecting the actual part for wear and tear. If the part still has some life I usually use it a little more before replacing them.   I have been mostly hands-off with the vacuum and it just works. Have a schedule for everyday morning before we wake up. House is spotless before we come out of our rooms.

Welcome! Yes it's better than nothing. A lot of people say and will keep saying it's costly and maintenance etc etc but if you can afford it get the one with the dock  when you can. The factor of convenience alone is amazing for us. We do not have to rely on maid or anyone else to keep the house clean. We have a retriever at home so for us this is an indispensable tool.

I have an ecovacs t30s pro and is great at avoidance and vacuuming, mopping is decent, I have the eureka j15 pro ultra and is almost to smart at avoidance, I have most ai features turned off and still avoids everything just not as efficient as the ecovacs. I also have the ecovacs n30 pro omni for the basement and for a mid level robots with self empty self cleaning station it is awesome. No cameras or fancy avoidance but does a kick butt job at vacuuming and mopping and still avoids the fake dog crap and toys with no problem. You are going to get great reviews and bad reviews on every model out there. Took me 6 returns to get the ones I have now and only reason I have the eureka j15 pro ultra is they sent me a completely free one because of my negative review but I only updated the review and not change it after their free gift.

I have the n30 pro omni for my lower level and it is amazing. Cant believe how well it works without the camera and the avoidance is great. It even passed the fake dog poop test. To be honest i think I works better than my t30s pro I use on the main floor.

Honestly, ecovacs isn't that bad. I've got hardwood floors and carpets at home, and I use t30s pro. The suction is plenty strong. For mopping, we do a deep clean twice a week, vacuum first, then mop. As long as the stains aren't too tough, it does a pretty good job:)

Last year, I got a Golden Retriever to my home, and I also got an Ecovacs T30 robot vacuum. I set it to run 2-3 times a week to pick up my dog's long hair in my house. After walking the dog, I'll let the robot mop the floor to clean up the paw prints.

Our Ecovacs T30s performs well on carpets with a suction power of 11,000Pa. It doesn’t drag the carpet around or avoid it on purpose, and doesn’t bump into walls either.

I have same size apartment setup. I LOVE my Ecovac Debot T30S AI. It vacuums & mops beautifully. I had it scheduled 3x a week for the first 2 weeks, now I have it scheduled twice a week. My floors are spotless & area rug in living room nice & clean. It also does a great job on the gel mat that runs the length of my kitchen work area. BEST robot vac-mop I’ve owned. Many higher end model features. Highly recommend it.

hi, I try to advise you based on my experiences and those of the communities. if you want to stay on Ecovacs a good model in my opinion is the t30s pro, X5 has a front lidar system that doesn't convince me much, this combined with the shape makes it a bit clumsy in navigation, also despite the lack of the Lidar turret it is not so thin. Alternatives in the same price range are the eureka J15 pro ultra. if instead you want to go a bit further with the budget of around 1000 euros there is the new mova p50 ultra which is a very complete robot and with excellent performance for the price. All the robots listed have an anti-tangle system for hair, different in operation but give good results. I don't know what nationality you are, but if you are looking for a community about robots there is the Italian community NonSoloRobot™️ where you can find more than 6000 users available for advice and support on all the major brands. Hope it helps https://linktr.ee/NonSoloRobot

Just to say, we bought an ecovac t30 omni but had to return it within a month of purchasing. After returning it to Good guys, they then revealed to us that they are the most returned brand of robo vacs so... my suggestion, stay away from ecovacs. Their instructions, and troubleshooting is not very clear / helpful either.

Yeah, more expensive ones might be better, but that doesn’t mean we all need to spend so much. I got my ecovacs t30s for around 500 bucks, and I use it to vacuum my rugs and mop the hardwood floors. I just do a few things after using it, like refilling the water tank, changing the dust bag every month or two.

I got an ecovacs t30 and it definitely did a good job on keeping my floor clean, no hair tangle issue so far. Imo auto emptying and auto mop washing is a must, and it's quite enough for daily cleaning routine. But if you have low furniture clearance, then ecovacs t50 pro might be a better alternative.
