"If you go that route and have a dog (or kid) that sometimes leaves a mess that would make a bigger mess getting vacuumed, time the scheduled cleanings for after you've been around and had the chance to pick up small stuff and make sure there's no messes."

Just got a Eufy C10 RoboVac. Yippeee.. Works great. I am hairless. I sit at my desk, open the phone app, and tell Igor to do it's thing every morning. The first time I used it the roller clogged with hair (my 2 are going through a massive shed) so I vacuumed with a upright, and tried again. Complete success, and as long as I RoboVac once a day the thing doesn't clog. So, every morning Igor goes to work. https://preview.redd.it/9l52hrj2m1ef1.jpeg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd699492f97d3b73ad5c684811e4ca59299fc216
I have been using [this](https://x.com/xploreproducts/status/1941190397520482590) from eufy for a while now and it has been working great for me so far, I would highly recommend it . It is pretty pet friendly and great if you wanna clean low profile areas as well
There's also Eufy C10. I've got one now. It's good but sadly seems to be missing bits. Not sure if it's the case with all budget robots. What's great about it though, it's got extendable side brush so will clean corners much better. Q10 might miss bits in corners as it's side brush simply doesn't reach. https://preview.redd.it/0azl6mm7ciag1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b73842da460546672ef419a977f20416d0b191f1
My C10 was horrible. Returned. Software, map, vacuum, dockstation. All had issues. Was debating L10s and Q10 5s.
I just got it a few days ago and am running it head to head with a RoboRock Q8 Max+. See my comparison here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Roborock/comments/1h2ip9d/switched\_from\_22\_roomba\_j7\_to\_roborock\_q8\_max/?sort=new](https://www.reddit.com/r/Roborock/comments/1h2ip9d/switched_from_22_roomba_j7_to_roborock_q8_max/?sort=new) So far, the C10 is leading over the Q8 for me. I have 2 dogs and hard floors with some low pile area rugs. Still running more tests with both, but I plan on returning one of them in another week during the 30 day trial period.
I just bought the eufy Auto-Empty C10 on Black Friday deal from $200 off. I recently installed hardwood floor
Just got a eufy C10 to replace our very loud wyze vac after it rolled in wet cat food lol. Very happy so far
If you were happy with the G30, check out the Eufy L60, which is probably the closest model to the G30. It's an improvement over the G30, with real LIDAR navigation and good app support. You can get it standalone, with a self-empty station, or with a mop. The self-empty version is $280 on Amazon right now, which is a very good deal. It doesn't have the dual rollers, but it does have a hair-cutting blade on the dock, if that was what you were concerned about with the dual roller design. Also similar: the Eufy C10, which is $230 with self-empty on Amazon. Its navigation will be a little bit worse than the L60. No dual roller brush on this one either, but it does have an extending side brush for better corner cleaning. Most of the dual roller robots I know of also include at least a stationary mop pad. You can remove the mop plate and forget it even exists; the stationary mop does not affect vacuuming performance or impose a lot of overhead, unlike the other types. If you're fine with getting a mop you don't use, a number of options arise: the Q8 you mentioned and the Dreame D20 Pro+ come to mind. But if you must have a robot with no mop and dual rollers, here's your robot: the Roborock Q5 Max+. Its only drawback: it's $500 on Amazon US. If you'd rather pay more for a robot with no mop, you can do that.
Eufy may be your best bet. Look at their C10, L60, and E20 models. As a bonus, the E20 converts into a cordless stick vac, in case you need one of those. Another good choice would be the Roborock Q5 Max+, though it tends to be a bit more expensive. Finally, consider getting a robot with a stationary pad mop. I know you said you want just a vacuum, but those are getting more and more rare over time. It's really easy to just slap a Swiffer pad on the back of a robot vacuum, so most manufacturers are doing just that. You don't pay a lot for it (and sometimes pay less!), and it's easy to leave off and pretend it doesn't exist. It also tends to not have a significant effect on vacuuming performance. A lot of options will open up if you expand your search in this way.
I'll add to the vote for the Roborock Q5 Max, but there are other alternatives: many Shark robots, plus the Eufy L50, L60, C10, and E20 models. A few models put the water tank into the mop plate, and thus do not sacrifice any dustbin space for water storage. An example would be the Roborock Q5 Pro, which is basically the Q5 Max with some cosmetic changes and a mop pad. I've seen the Pro cheaper than the Max, which means you're paying more money just for the privilege of not getting a mop; ditto for the L60 SES vs. Hybrid. So that's something to consider.
Probably your best bet with self-emptying would be the Eufy C10, with a 21.2 cm base. Beyond that, I think you might be stuck with charging-only bases. I can't imagine any of them wouldn't fit.
We’ve had the Eufy X10 Pro (on sale for $300) for awhile now. We really like it. But the ‘best’ will depend on your specific needs. We are all solid surface floors except for a few small area rugs and then two large high pile rugs in the master bedroom. We also have a 115lb Akbash that sheds like crazy (like more than I’ve ever seen a dog shed). My wife loves that she only spot vacuums maybe once a month when she used to vacuum twice a day. The only thing it doesn’t do that I wish it did was (1) have an extending brush to get the corners and under appliances/counters and I wish it was short enough to go under our L-shaped couch. We ended up getting a Eufy C10 ($200) specifically for our bedroom and to send into the living room to vacuum under the couch. It’s dos great but doesn’t mop.
I own three robot vacuums. The only one that doesn't also mop is my Eufy C10. I have it because I have some shag carpets that the combo vacs do not handle very well. My C10 handles shag carpet and hard surface flooring very well. I also like that it's low profile allows it to go under my couch and dresser. I'm very happy with it. It also doesn't tangle, and we have long-haired shedding dogs.
We have three bots: Eufy c10 and x10 and Dreame x40 ultra. We keep our c10 in our bedroom because it’s about 250 sq feet with two huge white shag carpets and laminate floors and a master bath with tile. We didn’t want dirty mop heads being drug across the white shag and heavier mop/vac units that can leave the mop heads behind are too heavy to easily navigate the thick shag carpet. We leave our bedroom door open during the day and also send the c10 to clean under our couches and spot clean in the room where we have a large rolling bird cage that always had seeds on the floor and under it. So the c10 is great if you need to get under furniture, go over high pile carpet or just vac hard surfaces. And has a dust collection been. It’s also been really good with dog hair. We never have to untangle it. The x10 is a really nice mop/vac. But it has shortcomings. It won’t go under our furniture, it doesn’t clean corners, cant raise mop heads enough for high pile carpet, has a clunky way of edge hugging and doesn’t allow for disinfectant for cleaning mop heads. But it still mops and vacant fine (just not great along edges or corners) and is really good with dog hair - not tangles. The Dreame is our newest mop/vac. Haven’t had it long, but so far we like it. It makes up for the shortcomings of the x10, but still won’t go under our furniture. I like that it can (slowly) handle our shag carpet and leaves the mop heads behind. Also allows for disinfectant an better suction. We buy all our units used or refurbished. C10 was bought used for $100 on Facebook marketplace. X10 was refurbished from EBay for $300 with a 3 year major warranty. Dreame x40 ultra I got for a steal at $75 locally off Facebook marketplace and when I registered it it shows a 2 year warranty.
I picked up a slightly used Dreame X40 Ultra well within your price range. Really like it so far. Though my only complaints are: Can't get under most of my furniture (my Eufy C10 can), and can't handle my two very large shag carpets in my bedroom. Neither are deal breakers though, as my C10 pulls in the slack. A Eufy C20 or E25 might also be good choices. I've had good luck buying used, and also buying refurbished on Ebay (most come with name brand extended warranties).
I have a long haired chihuahua and a 115lb. Akbash that sheds non-stop. It's like living in a snow globe. Before the robot vacuums my wife would literally vacuum twice a day. Since the robot vacuums, she only touches up every couple of weeks. We've had zero tangling issues with the Dreame X40 Ultra, and the Eufy X10 and C10 models. The C10 only vacuums, but it's great at getting under furniture.
For us, it definitely has. My wife often comments how she wishes she had invested in robot vacuums before spending $900 on a fancy manual vacuum that she rarely uses now. We also have a Dyson rechargeable stick vac. That's all she uses for a quick touch-up here and there. We also have a Bissell stick mop with a trigger for spraying cleaner. She only uses it for dog accidents or a fresh spill in the kitchen. Our home is two stories and 90% hard surfaces (carpet is gross). But we do have a few area rugs. Currently we own a Eufy C10 and a X10 and a Dreame X40 Ultra. Before we got our Dreame, the X10 went down with a broken water pump that needed to be fixed under our warranty. That's when she realized how much she loved the convenience of the mopping. So, we got it fixed, but I also bought a used Dreame. The X10 is now for our upstairs (we hardly ever go up there) so it runs every few days just vacuuming and mops once a week. The C10 is docked in our master bedroom. We have large white shag carpets in that room and it handles them really well. The Dreame is our main downstairs mop/vac and does a great job daily.
