Just got a Eufy C10 RoboVac. Yippeee.. Works great. I am hairless. I sit at my desk, open the phone app, and tell Igor to do it's thing every morning.
The first time I used it the roller clogged with hair (my 2 are going through a massive shed) so I vacuumed with a upright, and tried again. Complete success, and as long as I RoboVac once a day the thing doesn't clog. So, every morning Igor goes to work.

I have been using [this](https://x.com/xploreproducts/status/1941190397520482590) from eufy for a while now and it has been working great for me so far, I would highly recommend it . It is pretty pet friendly and great if you wanna clean low profile areas as well
no - i hate our Qrevo S5V Regardless of the maintenance i put in, it constantly gets clogged and drags dog fur all over the house. We have all hard floors (vinyl planking) with some rugs throughout and it cannot even stop clogging on vinyl only. It's not even a year old 😩 I have replaced all the the parts, done everything possible to get it to stop clogging and nothing. Useless & major waste of \~$600. It sucks bc if it did work, it would be great. i do like the app & user experience otherwise. We have been using a eufy C10 (vaccuum only), but was only $200 that has zero problems vacuuming the floor & self-emptying, so I know it's a roborock problem, not our home cleanliness.
i have the roborock Qrevo S5V Robot Vacuum and Mop & two short haired dogs and would not recommend. Regardless of the maintenance i put in, it constantly gets clogged and drags fur all over the house. WE also have all hardwood with some rugs throughout. It cannot even stop clogging on hardwood only. It's not even a year old 😩 We've been using the eufy C10, which is vaccuum only and works great. We are considering getting another eufy in the future w/ mop & vaccuum because it's been working well for us so far!
There's also Eufy C10. I've got one now. It's good but sadly seems to be missing bits. Not sure if it's the case with all budget robots.
What's great about it though, it's got extendable side brush so will clean corners much better.
Q10 might miss bits in corners as it's side brush simply doesn't reach.

Robots are mechanically and electrically much more complex than normal vacuums and despite the higher relative price they are not built as well as normal vacuums. Depending on your definition of "long term", none are reliable. You can expect 2 or 3 years before a serious failure. And that's with regular maintainence. The marketing for robot vacuums is so overblown it's ridiculous.
They can be helpful when run very regularly. They keep clean-ish floors looking clean-ish. They do not vacuum as well as even average corded vacuums. Really you need to do a thorough manual vacuuming right before running the robot regularly, this allows the robot to "keep up" daily rather than trying to vacuum very dirty floors. Most will clog when used on previously uncleaned floors.
Models to check would be the roborock Q10 S5+, eufy C10, dreame d10 plus, yeedi C12/ecovacs N20e (same machines different names).
Of those models, the roborock and yeedi/ecovacs would be my top choices based on experience. Vacuum performance is good for a robot, anti tangle is ok (still, clean the brush regularly). And if longevity is a concern it might be worth getting a 3rd party extended warranty.
