Not an influencer, just an ordinary consumer with hairy dogs and long haired family. We have killed more vacuums than most people ever own lol I started with a Eufy 11s (still works), then upgraded to the Eufy G40+ Hybrid (still works) for self empty and the basic mopping. Have now upgraded to what I'd always wanted, ie a hands-free mopvac, in the form of the C20 (I'm giving the 11s to a friend, and the G40 will go upstairs) They have all performed just fine for what they are, and all were purchased at excellent prices. The c20 is basically the mopvac of my dreams, as not only does it clean well, but the base is relatively small, and it fits under my sofa.
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody looking to buy Black Friday? ->If it's just a mop pad, then no (I had the G40) - you have to remember to fill the onboard water, and while it will mop, it's really no more than a wipe, like a damp Swiffer duster. If you want an active mop and emptying tanks, go for the Eufy Omni C20 - we've just upgraded to it and I am ECSTATIC with vacuum and active mop performance, at its very budget price point ($399 in the US). We are so so happy with it for the price - cleanest our floors have ever been, since we are running it daily. Good navigation, decent vacuumn, excellent mop, good customization in the app. Doesn't have camera-based object avoidance, but it's actually been better than any of our prior mops, so I have no complaints. :)
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy G50 vs G50 Hybrid - is the mop feature worth it? ->Not exactly "negative", but we have been in a rolling upgrade for about 5 years. Each unit was purchased as "best we could afford at the time". They all still work, so I'm passing them on to kids and friends as they are replaced. 1. Eufy 11s. Best budget entry level. The random cleaning pattern is eccentric, it has very limited schedule options, and the brush roller was hard to keep clean, but it was still better than nothing at all. A good affordable entry point to see if we liked robots (I think I paid like $99, and I had a gift certificate so it was only about $50 out of pocket). 2. Shark self empty rv001. Got it as a refurb for a different part of the house. Pretty good for the price, snd the Shark roller is WAY better than the 11s for long hair/pet hair. Good at getting itself stuck in corners and the app sucks, but for the price I paid, an ok self-empty unit. Plan to continue using it until it dies. 3. Eufy g40+ hybrid (replaced the 11s). Mopping as well as self empty vac! That said, you have to remember to fill the tank and attach the mophead every time, and the pads get pretty yucky. Can't say it's a great combo, but still, better than no mop, and the self empty/self fill ones were still around $1800 at the time (vs $289). It is now going upstairs and I'm giving the 11s away. 4. Omni c20 - everything I've been waiting to hit my budget!! I'll keep using the Shark in the living room as it is kinder to area rugs - the mops in the c20 get caught on the edges as they lift (the only negative thing I have to say about it) - but after a week of trying it out I am sooooo happy with it. No going back - active mopping, self watering and self empty for life!
r/RobotVacuums • What is a robot vacuum you would not recommend and why? ->UK here. I and my partner are both blind. We use the Eufy G40+ robotic vacuum. It's fully autonomous and is self-emptying into a replaceable dust bag contained within the base station. You can run it itself with buttons on the actual vacuum, via the Eufy Clean app, or via a smart speaker. Google Home and Alexa are supported, but I don't know about Apple Home. That said, while it is great at cleaning larger particulates like hair and larger detritus, we still find ourselves needing to go over carpeted areas with a manual vacuum now and again for more of the finer detailed, deeper dirt within the shag. Hard surfaces are absolutely no issue. You'll find the same problem in almost all robot vacuums, unless you shell out an ungodly amount of money on an over-engineered piece of bloatware marketed towards people with more money than sense. As long as you commit to identifying and going over your problem areas with a manual vacuum whenever you see it to be necessary, it's worth the investment. Hope this helps.
r/Blind • Looking for an accessible robot vacuum cleaner, possibly with Appel home support please help. ->I got the Eufy hybrid and it mops, as a lightning deal on amazon. Now I cant live without it. Never thought I’d care for a mop. It helps so much, saves my messed up back and saves hubbs’ lungs/allergies. It removes all my old lady shedding hair and that of my cats.
r/RobotVacuums • Help! Robot vacuum headache! ->I have a Eufy hybrid and love it. It mops great!
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendations for vac/mop for LVP flooring? ->We bought our Eufy robo vac/mop last June, since then it's cleaned: 428 Times 317h3m 158380 ft² I would say that the investment was more than worthwhile.
r/unpopularopinion • Robot vacuums are expensive and a waste of time. ->I have 2 eufy mop + vacs and a regular shark. I think they’re amazing! They’re like little drunk robots that get into situations. If I had the dough I’d go for one that empties automatically.
r/parrots • Guys what mopping/vacuuming robot do you have? Does it do the job? ->Eufy makes great ones and has a very easy app to use. Get one with the emptying station and you can leave it untouched for months. Be sure to follow maintenance recommendations - clean out dust bin every N hours, that sort of thing. If you go that route and have a dog (or kid) that sometimes leaves a mess that would make a bigger mess getting vacuumed, time the scheduled cleanings for after you've been around and had the chance to pick up small stuff and make sure there's no messes.
r/CleaningTips • Is robot vaccum worth it for those without animals that shed a lot ? And just in general for cleaning /mopping floor? ->Gentle cleaning can make some of the parts last longer than they say - in particular the ones with soft rubber/silicone seals. I bought generic (non Eufy brand) bags for my self-emptying station and they work great.
