Good luck! I returned mine! Having had a Dreame L40 Ultra previously I did not like the eufy app. The mopping was great but did not get true edge cleaning compared to the L40’s spinning pads! Base unit was pretty noisy and I wasn’t impressed that there was no ‘mop after vac’ or ‘mop only’ option.

If mopping is your main priority, you should just look at Eufy. The spinning mops are outdated; they have only one water tank, which means they must return to the base to wash the mop. But eufy S1 Pro, E28, and E25 have two water tanks, allowing them to wash the mop while mopping, so they don’t spread dirt around. I have a UK version of E25, and I love it! It’s so much better than my previous spinning mops.

This was my take as well. On paper the E28/25 are far superior.

E25 is better than those two and fits perfectly within your budget, but you need to purchase a $9.99 coupon in advance.

What’s your budget? The Eufy L60 Hybrid is more budget-friendly, and its blade cutting makes it worry-free about hair tangles, but the vibrating mop is average. The Eufy E25 with its dual separation rollers can also prevent tangles and automatically untangle when it returns to the base station. The roller mop is better for dealing with muddy paws.

How big is your floor area? Is it a one-story or two-story home? If you don’t mind how long the robot takes to finish cleaning, then one unit should be enough, even with two floors. Most robot vacuums can handle multi-level cleaning; you’d just need to carry it upstairs when needed. What’s your budget like? Two of the most popular models here right now are eufy E28/E25 and MOVA P50 Pro. Eufy’s latest models have improved suction and anti-tangle performance, which a lot of pet owners really appreciate. And it uses the best roller mops for mopping. MOVA, which is a sub-brand of Dreame, also has a solid reputation and strong features.

Many robot vacuums can get the job done; Roborock, Eufy, and Dreame are all reliable brands. I suppose pet hair and paw prints might be big issues in your home, so preventing tangles and mops are important. The Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy E28/25 feature dual separation rollers to tackle tangles. For mopping, spinning mops are sufficient, but if you want the best, go for a roller mop.

eufy e25? The duo roller brush is much better at preventing severe tangling compared to a single roller brush, and the roller mop performs better than a pad mop for mopping.

Get the E25 if you don't need the portable spot cleaner. E25/28 works better than X10 Pro since the roller mop can wash its mop in real time.

Sounds reasonable. I've found the vacuuming to be excellent with the E25. I heard reports that the S1 vacuuming was dubious, but the E25 has significantly more suction. We also don't have much in the way of carpets (and what we have is being replaced with LVT later this year, because I hate carpets 😁). Hot mopping sounds good, but I can't see it'll make any practical difference and the E25 mop is pretty wide already. Be interested to hear how yours gets on though!

The Eufy E25 won't clean until it's mapped, and I think you can only initiate mapping from the app.

Hi all, I know a lot of people are interested in this one, so I thought I'd give brief first impressions after the first day. We've had a [Roborock S5](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1kz11eb/free_roborock_s5_needs_a_repair_paying_it_forward/) since 2019 but replaced it after the LDS stopped being reliable. I bought the E25 for £700, direct from Eufy. So very brief first impressions of the E25, after first setup and initial clean: Setup: * Box is bloody heavy. Be careful! * Setup is super slick and super easy - wifi connection and app setup was done in a few mins * The machine looks and feels well-built * The funny circular light under the clean water reservoir is annoying, and I wish it could be dimmed or turned off * The sticky labels on the top of the reservoirs (which explain how to use) have tabs as if they should be removed - but when you peel them off they leave yukky glue residue Mapping: * Amazing initial mapping experience * It tracked all the rooms and identified some of them (e.g., it knew one room was a bathroom - presumably using the AI camera to identify the toilet) * The 3D map is cool, but pointless * I needed to set up a no-go area and virtual wall and the first time I set it up, this just failed (click 'save', message says 'Failed', and no other feedback). After I re-mapped the house, it worked fine. Probably an app or wifi comms bug. Cleaning and vacuuming: * First clean took about an hour - 85m2, or so. * It's *very* quiet. Half the volume, or less, than the Roborock S5, which was a noisy sod. * Vacuuming seems very good - better than the S5 (but you'd expect so, as it has nearly 10x the suction Pa) * Mopping seemed good so far, and the water from cleaning was very muddy. Be interesting to see how much better the effect is when running regularly. * Overall clean was pretty good. There were a few tiny bits of debris missed in the corners under teh worktops, but I'm aware no robovac is perfect. Again, little and often * It did get stuck in a couple of places - one step was too high for it to get down (virtual wall placed to prevent this) and a narrow bit next to the toilet - it's about 8mm to wide to go all the way in, so I set up a no-go area. But avoidance generally seems good. Overall, very pleased. It'll be interesting to see how well it works once we've got the schedules running. Edit: one other plus. I was a bit concerned about the cost of bags for the base unit, but there's unofficial ones on amazon for about £14 for 10 bags, which seems reasonable. Better still, I went into the Eufy app tonight and it offered me a free gift in return for feedback. So I wrote some feedback and they gave a voucher for a free £16 pack of 3 official hoover bags. So at 75 days per bag, that'll last me at least until Christmas.

Sorry, nope. Plenty of YouTube people out there that are doing that. I'm not putting rice and sand on my rug and vacuuming it! Performance is fine though. Loads better than my old S5 Roborock even with it on max and the Eufy on the standard/quiet setting.

I have the E25. It's loud when it sucks the dirt out of the vacuum into the base-station, but it's the volume of a normal upright vacuum, for about 10s, every 30-45 mins (depending on how often you have it configured to go back to the base and self-empty). The entire rest of the time I can barely hear it working.

Wrote a long reply, but it won't let me post, so have DM'd. But basically, after looking at disc-based mops vs roller mops, I concluded that the latter was the only sensible design. The only real alternative was the Mova Z50, but you can't really get them in the UK.

E25 is very new, so not many reviews yet. It supports scheduling and can be programmed comprehensively. If you care about mopping, I'd avoid the disc mops on the Roborock, because they're just going to swirl the mud around. The thing that persuaded me about the E25 is that it actively rinses/scrapes the dirt off the roller as it goes, which means you're not just moving the dirt, you're actually removing it. The water that comes out of the machine is very dirty, and our floors are pretty clean now. See my post/comment history for other comments about my E25. I'm also in the UK.

Get the new Eufy E25. Its mopping capability with its roller mop is superior to most other robots and it is realatively quiet in operation.

After several weeks of testing, I can say I’m extremely satisfied with the Eufy E25. The robot vacuums quietly and efficiently, and the overall cleaning result leaves nothing to be desired. Compared to my X10 Pro Omni, the E25 is significantly quieter during operation, which I really appreciate in daily use. I’m deliberately comparing the E25 to the X10 Pro Omni, since I see the E25 as its natural successor. Especially now that Eufy has clarified its product lines: With the S-series for high-end models, the E-series for mid-range, and the C-series as entry-level It’s clear that the E25 is positioned as the next step after the X10 Pro Omni in their lineup. One of the standout features is the upgraded mopping system. The new high-pressure mopping roller works brilliantly and applies noticeably more pressure to the floor. It cleans thoroughly without being overly wet and uses very little water overall, which I find better managed than on the X10 Pro. The dual-part roller brush is also a great improvement. During my entire test, it didn’t pick up or wrap a single hair. Everything was properly suctioned and removed. That’s a big plus for households with pets or long hair. Another highlight is the side brush that extends and reliably sweeps dirt even from deep corners. It adds real value to edge cleaning and ensures that no spots are left untouched. The water tank is transparent, which makes it easy to check the water level at a glance. However, the small filling cap on the fresh water tank makes cleaning the tank itself more difficult compared to the larger opening on the X10 Pro Omni. It’s a minor trade-off, but still something to note. As for design, the robot looks modern and clean, though the glossy surface picks up dust and fine scratches easily. Personally, I also prefer the hinged top cover from the X10 over the removable lid used here, since it felt sturdier and more user-friendly. For future models, I’d love to see more consistency in interchangeable parts. Standardized consumables like dustbags, HEPA filters, and brushes across models would make things much easier. Especially for people like me who own multiple Eufy vacuums. And while I don’t mind using Eufy’s own cleaning solution, I’d prefer a refillable tank instead of a cartridge that needs to be repurchased. All in all, the E25 has developed into a very strong and reliable product. It’s quiet, smart, and delivers excellent cleaning results both when vacuuming and mopping. It does a pretty good job with the occasional mishap. There is some cables under my bed that it avoided on 15 cleaning runs now, but dragged it around one time. So it mostly works but has a hiccup sometimes. I expect that tho and don’t leave everything laying around on the floor. I tested it with dog toys, cords and shoes and it avoided everything just fine. There is just that occasional hiccup after a couple of runs.

I got several upper price range vacuum robots from Amazon Vine in recent months (Shark, Mova, ...), among them the Eufy E25. The software and the cleaning performance (vacuum and mop) are very good, but the robot is rather small and has trouble climbing on thick carpets (>1.5cm high). I also would like to see a robot that recognizes cables and doesn't strangle itself.

I got one from Amazon Vine and have been using it for a month. Cleaning performance (vacuum and mop) and navigation is very good. I also like the app. Two disadvantages compared to my other robots from the same price range (Shark, Mova P50): \- the Eufy is more compact, so it can go into tight corners. But it has problems climbing on high carpets (2cm). So I can't use it in my living room. The robots needs many attempts to get on the carpet, which is necessary to get to the other side of the room. \- the mop drying - which lasts for several hours - is quite noisy. So I have to schedule the cleaning several hours before I arrive home, because I don't like the constant humming of the fan

I have an Eufy E25 and a Mova P50 Ultra, which is almost identical to the Dreame X40 Ultra. I got them through Amazon Vine and I've used them for several weeks Both have very good apps and a good vacuum and mop performance. The Eufy has a roller mop while the Dreamy has mop pads. Main issues: \- the Eufy is small and fast. It can go into tighter spaces. But it has issues climbing on high carpets (>2cm) \- the Eufy mop drying - which lasts for several hours - is quite noisy. I need to time the schedules so that the drying is finished before I get home \- the Mova/Dreame uses much more water than my other robots, mainly for the mop cleaning. I need to add water every week (70m2 floor cleaned twice a week). \- both have a dust bag in the station, which is inconvenient. I very much prefer a solid dust container (my Shark has one) So far, I prefer the Mova/Dreame.

Yes! Very robust and precise robot! I’m loving it! It doesn’t have any issue with obstacle avoidance.. it detected all cords, and even a tiny Lego that I didn’t even notice :)

E25 is quieter, but, also loud to have near a bedroom unless you have “do not disturb” on in the app, it skips that step.. so not a big deal..

In Germany E25 will be available on 15 May, also the E25 is 100€ cheaper than the E25, and has not the loud noise when cleaning the mop at the base station.

I bought the E25 today and got an amazing deal on Amazon, it was selling for 899€, but has a 120€ coupon, so.. with my early buy coupon of 150€ I got it for 630€+- :/ What an amazing deal, it’s hard for another robot to beat this.. I still got two 150€ coupons, one for the E25 and one for the E28 to use on Eufy Germany website or on Amzn.de for anyone interested

I wouldn’t recommend the ecovacs X9 pro omni if you are in the EU, SEA, and Singapore. The MOVA Z50 ultra will mop much better and does just as well with fur. If in the US, the eufy E25 and E28 is a good choice. If you’re going to wait, I’d wait for the Dreame Aqua 10 pro track. It mops just as well as the MOVA z50 ultra and the onboard fur compression in the dustbin as it vacuums is pretty effective at best using its dustbin space so it won’t clog as easily.

Yes the E25 will be the better choice. I recommend adding a cleaning solution to the water tank too.

Eufy E25 or E28 for roller mop robots. Both are the same in terms of robot. E28 comes with a spot remover which can be useful. Since it appears you’re in the US, I cannot recommend the MOVA Z50 Ultra which is much better than the ecovacs X8 Pro omni at mopping and Eufy S1 Pro for vacuuming and mopping. A lot of flagship priced robot vacuums vacuum better than the Narwal Freo Z Ultra but the Narwal Freo Z Ultra seems to be king with the smart clean feature. A robot vacuum with flagship level cleaning (and a formerly flagship price) would be the dreame L40 Ultra for 399 USD if purchased from a physical dreame store which will ship across the US for free if you order via phone or email. The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra should be similarly priced and is a good budget friendly favorite. If you want to support a local startup, try Matic robotics’ cute robot which I’d recommend if you want an all in one combo robot with a basic base station. It’s powered by the Nvidia Orin robotics chip so it theoretically is the smartest robot. Currently, it seems the robot is constantly being updated as soon as the software engineers there are aware of an issue. If you want good roller mopping right now and vacuuming carpets isn’t as much of a concern, I’d go for the eufy E25/28 (main difference other than a fabric cleaner is that the E28 has a refillable detergent tank) since it exerts 12N of mopping pressure and seems to mop rather well but vacuuming carpets is another story. The ecovacs X8/X9 only exerts 10N of pressure with the mop but the X9 will vacuum carpets better. More pressure is one of the factors that lead to better mopping.

After daily vacuuming then mopping, my hardwood floors became notably softer and had a shine. I’d recommend robots with roller mops or spinning mops. For roller mop robots, I’d recommend the eufy S1 (Pro), eufy E25/E28, MOVA Z50 Ultra, and the Narwal Flow. All of these robots except for the eufy E25/E28 will have good obstacle avoidance. For spinning mop robots, I’d recommend dreame/MOVA robots with the AceClean/jetspray dryboard, the Narwal Freo line with an all in one base station, the roborock qrevo line. If obstacle avoidance is important, I’d consider the Dreame L40S Pro Ultra, L/X50 Ultra and the Narwal Z/Z10 Ultra.

The Eufy E25 is also a good cheaper choice if a spot cleaner isn’t needed.

X40 will do best for liquid spills since it can lift the main and side brush and avoid smearing. E25 will do best for dried on stains.

What about the MOVA Z50 Ultra and the eufy E25/E28? These mop better then the ecovacs X9

I think the Narwal Freo Z Ultra is the “smartest” of them all for smart cleaning but won’t do so well for vacuuming as mopping is its key strength. The Matic seems to be rather smart too but it is US-only. Object avoidance: Dreame, eufy S1 Pro, and the Narwal Freo Z ultra will do the best. Narwal’s binocular RGB cameras mean it avoids them smoothly. Dreame’s own binocular RGB cameras on the Aqua 10 pro track show similar smoothness when avoiding obstacles. Hair and fur: Dreame and MOVA’s duostream brushes, eufy E25/E28 DuoDivide dupe brushes, roborock DuoDivide brushes, Narwal’s conical brush, > dreame TriCut brush

Yep I too got an E25. It is super quiet even at the highest suction power. I was wondering if the vacuum was even working, especially comparing to my Roborock S8 Pro Ultra which is super loud at highest suction. Mopping is very effective and it doesn't use up much water at all. Build feels very solid and the bins are super easy to take out and clean. Cherry on top was that I got it for CAD 849 by using a 400$ launch special coupon plus 50$ online coupon. And, they are also sending me 4 free dust bags for providing my feedback. Super satisfied overall.

Mine works well. Some navigation issues (occasionally gets stuck rotating (it's a squircle) and doesn't go on my terrace unless I start a room cleaning of the terrace), but it was updated yesterday and I'm otherwise happy with it and recommend it. No hot water mop washing, but it vacuums and mops well.

Yes. I have the E25 with obstacle avoidance disabled, but it's practically the same, I have 3 cats, and I'm satisfied with the anti-tangle functionality.

It reduces the cleaning effectiveness (it avoids more areas / covers less ground) and I don't need it. Never used, so can't say how that improved/impacted its performance, sorry.

The eufy Omni E25 and E28 perform better than the S1 Pro on hard floors. The Mova Z50 and Z60 perform better than any eufy on hard floors. The eufy Omni E25 and E28 do better on carpets than all Dreames and Movas except the Dreame X50 and the Mova V50 and Z60.

I disagree. These suction power ratings are always an indication of actual performance. They might not be perfect, since other factors exist, but they are an indication. Reviews are subjective (some don't even use the highest settings). Suction power isn't. If your 2000 Pa robot has much better floor pick-up than your 12000 Pa robot, something's wrong with your 12000 Pa robot. My 20000 Pa eufy Omni E25 has better hard floor pick-up performance than my 19000 Pa Mova Z50 and my 18000 Pa Mova P50 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebot T80.

Eufy (Omni) E25. Yes, the roller mop does better than the P50 Pro Ultra. No, they'll probably try to scare you into using their overpriced cleaning solution or risk damaging the robot or voiding the warranty, but you can use your own mild solution. It's usually only used for washing the mop(s) anyway. Warranty is 24 months in the EU (36 in some countries). I did have experiences with them in Europe (Portugal). Mova support is good. They reply your e-mails and have a helpful Facebook group with Mova employees. Eufy support sucks. It's apparently an AI bot suggesting generic, unhelpful things like recalibrating the robot (no such thing) or contacting support (yes, their Support suggested I contact Support).

You can get the S1 non pro for $699 on sale and it’s great for hard wood and area rugs if you have carpet get the E25.

The Eufy S1 changed everything with the mopping capabilities and design. The Eufy E25/28 new models further advance this technology. It’s just finally getting better.

The E25 won't even vacuum along edges. So disappointed with my E25. My 5 yr old roborock did a way better job vacuum along floor list and walls. E25 is so conservative. It gets stuck everywhere and won't the walls not even remotely close

My E25 is leaving foam lines all over the place. From the edge of the roller it leaves foam everywhere long lines. Going around a table leg? Foam all around the leg.. Wtf. Anyone else?

1 hour with the E25 and I already wish return was possible The roborock S6 is definitely being plugged back in tomorrow. Turned off Ai obstacle mode, now it smashes into everything. Like real hard this thing is probably not gonna last long, so many fragile parts. The roborock I have kicked and smashed with my foot so many times out of anger when it doesn't collaborate, and still he rocks 4-5 yrs later and no broken parts

I got an e25 eufy and unfortunately it's just OK definitely doesn't use as much water as my Z Ultra but it also doesn't kick out the roller mop to get close to the cabinets it also seems to like to do vacuum and mop the most there were some spots on my lvp that it just didn't get up at all after two times of mopping over them and same thing with some coffee spill in the kitchen mopped twice and didn't get it

Or eufy e28/25, the roller mop is born for nasty stains and works far better than disc mops.

Eufy e25 is probably the best fit. The roller mop design will keep your floors very clean without smearing dirt everywhere. Also has decent vacuum performance, not as good as Roborock's offerings or what Dyson can provide but it will be adequate. Obstacle avoidance is middle of the pack with Dreame and Mova having better offerings while Roborock has worse performance.

Do you have hard floors only? If so get the Eufy e25. The roller mop system is unbeatable when it comes cleaning sticky or waxy messes off floors. I think the e25 struggles a little bit when it comes to carpet but is still perfectly adequate. Same with obstacle avoidance but it's better than the offerings from roborock in that regard but worse than Dreame and Mova.

Since you don't have carpet look at the Eufy s1, e25/e28. The s1 obstacle avoidance is pretty good and it's the best performer for hard floors. Dreame and Mova have the best object avoidance in the market but won't perform as well as the Eufy on hard floors. Dreame/Mova would be a good choice if you had mixed flooring as they do better on carpets than Eufy.

I wouldn't say the e25 and e28 perform better on carpets. Eufy has been behind on suction performance for a while. They advertise 20000pa but it doesnt mean anything when it comes to real world performance. The Dreame x40/L40 and Mova p10 pro ultra still outperform the eufys.

Hi everyone! Looking through the sub here I finally narrowed it down to two options. Both have basically the same price, so this is not the main issue. The E25 is rather new, but the roller mop is quite interesting and makes me think it would do better than the P50 Ultra Pro? However, I am not sure about the cleaning solution that can be added. Is it only possible to use the proprietary product they have? We have used a recommended product in our hardwood floors and I would love to keep using that if possible. From what I understood the P50 Ultra Pro has a tank I could simply fill with my preferred product (probably already diluted). The last point I have in mind is the warranty. 12 months from Eufy vs 36 months from Mova is quite a difference. Anyone had experiences with them in Europe (Germany)? Thanks (: edit I ended up going with the E25 for 749 euros using the EufyE28DE. For those in Germany, PAYBACK has a coupon for an extra 6% cashback, so the end price will be 704,12. The sooner you buy, the sooner you can enjoy it. Mine just arrived, and I set it to run through the first floor. Pertty impressive.

I upgraded from the L60 to the E25. The difference is huge for me; it handles obstacles perfectly. It doesn’t just use its bumpers to detect table legs or sofas; it can navigate around them quite flexibly. I also have cats and a dog, so good obstacle avoidance is important for their safety. Sometimes my cat just sits there when the E25 approaches, but the robot quickly avoids him every time.

e25 has stronger suction than x9, although people here don’t recommend considering too much importance on that number. i have an e28 (the spot cleaner version of e25) and two cats. it does a great job of picking up hair and preventing tangles. the extendable side brush can clean hair from corners. a big difference is that e25/28 uses two roller brushes, which are much better than a single brush. They push the hair towards the middle and then untangle it.

E25 is excellent at mopping.

The "duo divide" or something like that. Some of the 2024 models had that brush design too. Other ones that are good with hair are the narwal and the new eufys (e25/e28) have the same brush design.watch vacuum wars or the hookup they test handling of hair. That said I have an older roborock s6max and 2 golden retrievers. It picks up the hair pretty well I just have to clean hair off fairly regularly. And if it's been more than a day, I have to empty the bin multiple times per cleaning. I want to upgrade to a eufy e25 depending on the reviews.

Ugh, nowhere was it at all clear the e25 is missing the refillable tank feature. I got a discount for this model, but not the e28 - would have gone for the latter otherwise

Indeed, but so is the C20. My understanding is that the E25 is a much better carpet vac, and also nearly double the price.

Fair first impressions, iv upgraded from the RoboVac 11S and everything about this new device is better. Not mopped yet but will Set that off tonight. However, I have forgotten about replacement expendables which I’ll look about for now. IOS no problems but strange why the app needs precise location, I set that to once only for set up. The ring light isn’t bothering me yet since I took her out the box today but if only a firmware update would take care of that or at least allow a light schedule.

I bought an eufy25 and couldn't use it for even a minute due to dirty water tank error. Returned it to Amazon and debating what to do now. I might buy another one and cross my fingers that it's not defective.

I highly rate my E25! The only issue I have is the cleaning solution, like you said. The store doesn't have any to purchase, either (UK based, so I'm unsure elsewhere) Also to note, check your email! I received an email to ask me to review and then got 3 dust bags for a total of £1 - no delivery fee! I've had it a few weeks now and flipped it over last night to do a one over for maintenance. A nice add-on in the app showing how to do everything correctly. I was surprised at how much the dust filter needed a clean and how much of my hair got caught around the side brushes.

I can't fault my E25! Fantastic bit of kit! I'm very glad I returned my Shark Power Detect Never Touch!

Are you more interested in vacuuming performance or mopping performance? I have the E25, and I think it's worth the money (UK based) I thought my tiles in my dining room were clean - I was so wrong! You should see the colour of the dirty water. It looks like mud! I'm more impressed than disgusted. Its performance with the roller mop is amazing. Busy household - kids and dogs. Does a reasonable job at vacuuming, though I do set it to vacuum every day. Mopping every other day. Manual vacuum and mop once or twice a week (nothing beats hands-on cleaning, but the robot sure does help!!!)

For crevices, you need a robot with a bristle main brush. Dreame L series and Mova usually use rubber brushes, which, according to reviewers on YT, don't pick up dust in crevices well unlike bristle ones. Some Roborock model like Q5 Pro, Q8 Max, Qrevo S, and QV35A/S also uses a similar brush. I think if you don't mind with prices, E28 or E25 is a good candidate because its roller mop is superior. Roborock also has a new lineup called S5A which is the cheaper version of Qrevo Edge. Now it's $899 on Amazon. S5A uses a similar Duo Divide split brush as in Qrevo Edge and Eufy E28, a self-empty station, and obstacle avoidance but only using structured light without a live camera.

Isn't E25 just E28 without the dry and wet vacuum?

OP, if you’re open to spending an extra $50, consider the Eufy E25. It should be the cheapest among the robot vacuums that use a roller mop, and it cleans better than spinning mops. And its two roller brushes do a great job at reducing tangles. I have an E28 (the E25 with spot cleaner version), and I have a Shiba Inu and a long-haired Ragdoll cat, plus I shed a lot of hair, but the roller brushes hardly get tangled at all.

E25, E28 have 50% more downforce than the S1 roller mop and S1 is only 8K suction compared to 20K on E25,28. S1 is old news for the same price as the E28.

I like the E25 and move to a roller from the disc based design is huge. But still hesitant upgrading Roomba i7+ unless child is produced or I get a pet. These mopping robots are not truley as hands free as vacuuming only ones because of the water. I imagine the station/tanks get absolutely disgusting if you dont stay on top of it. Clean one probably needs swap every 3ish days I imagine and dirty one as soon as possible... Told Eufy to create model that would fly to a designated toilet and dump contents directly there. But looks like they ignored that.

I just got the E25 and love it. It's really low maintenance. I had a narwal spinning mop before and it used far more water than the E25. This one doesn't use very much at all so it's truly hands free for quite a while.

I have one too. It’s a very nice robot. It works much better than the Dreame that I had to send back.

True. It’s a nice feature, but a very minor one in my opinion. The E28 does a great job of cleaning and drying the roller. I hand wash the roller with soap once a month as well.

Mopping robots have come a very long way in recent years and can provide a very solid clean. They haven’t fully replaced manual cleaning, but they definitely keep your house in good shape and make your manual cleanings much less frequent. To address some of your questions: 1. I’d need to see what the room transitions look like, but if they are pretty short, most robots should be able to handle them. 2. They can handle carpet. The effectiveness of the carpet cleaning varies model to model. Most of the mid range and better robots will have lifting mops that will detect carpet and lift automatically to avoid getting your carpets wet. Many even increase suction when they detect carpets for better cleaning. 3. Carpets shouldn’t be an issue, but you can always make the robot avoid them if you prefer. 4. Not as sure on this. They all have to send some data I’m sure, but often times it’s encrypted and you can usually opt out of most of it if preferred. 5. Depending on the type of mopping system you get will determine how deep the mop cleaning is. I’d highly recommend getting a roller mop system (see the Eufy E28/25, the new ecovacs, soon to be released Narwal Flow, ect). I have the E28 and I’m very impressed with its overall cleaning. Mopping is great. Check out vacuum wars on YouTube. They aren’t perfect, but will give you a good idea of all the robots, their strengths and weaknesses, and their features. Happy to try to answer any other questions.

I really love my Eufy E28 and you can get it for $500 less than the X9.

I will say that the E28/E25 is really efficient with its water use. I only fill the clean water tank once a week and I run it at least once a day.

And the dirty bin fills even slower.

We have 2 feral kids under 4, a dog and a cat as well. I am the semi-house trainer husband in the dynamic. We have the Eufy E28 and love it. The E25 is the same if you don’t need the spot cleaner.

If you care even a little bit about mopping, the E25 will deliver the best performance due to the rolling mop vs spinning on the others.

Just hard floors, your place will be heaven for E28, or E25, if you don't need the spot cleaner, then it can be cheaper.

It’s a good unit. The E25 coming out is the next version; biggest difference is less water usage, stronger suction.

With toddlers that likes to spill milk and other food items on the floor, I cannot see robo mops without roller working efficiently. Why do you dislike Eufy, especially the ones with roller mop, S1 Pro, E25/28?

Eufy, I have the e25/28 depending your budget and features are good. Not sure about the long term reliability yet. But it feels well enough engineered. Roborock products are of a high standard, mine worked for 5 years every day. Avoid ecovacs. The products are not that well engineered making it a 50/50 chance of having a good experience. 2 experiences, 1st: meh for 1 year, 2nd: died in less than 3 months. (Edit: and customer service is just insulting in France... Really, worst ever conversation I could have with a customer service).

Eufy everyday against ecovacs. T30 was very overpriced for the quality. It's the lottery with their product and customer service. E28 (same as e25) is a breeze compared to the T30.

Eufy e25/28 are doing great. Should be in your budget.

Eufy e25/28 are superior to the S1 Pro. I’d go for self cleaning roller mops over the spinning mop pads.

I know…I was referring more to the Dreame (and maybe the Narwal), which is spinner. The S1 doesn’t have an extending roller, hence the suggestion for the e25/28.

The mopping dries in less than 2 minutes for any robot. Re your last question. Granted you have better mopping with the E25/28 BUT, it doesn’t come for free. You have more maintenance to keep the robot dirty water tank clean and all the corners and parts in it. With the Curv or edge you have anti tangling side brush and main roller, as well as very little maintenance on the robot and dock. Unless you have dogs with muddy paws every day or wear shoes inside the house then defin go with roborock.

I had the Roborock Qrevo Pro and it vacuumed well and emptied itself. I ended up taking it back because, though vacuuming is part of the priority, the main priority is mopping for me. The Roborock doesn't actually pick up the mopping water, so basically just pushing around what it already mopped until it gets back to its station to clean itself. So in areas like my laundry room with tile the dirt would catch on the edges of the tile leaving a residue that made the floor looking dirtier than it was previously. I've done a bunch of research, and I will be getting a eufy with the Hydrojet system. I have 6 dogs (2 of which are Great Pyrenees), so there's LOTS of hair, but my rumba does an ok job with that when it works more than once a day. BUT the dogs also bring in icky paws at times, so I really want a robot one that cleans and sucks up its dirty water and continuing to clean with fresh water. The eufy's fit the bill. I currently have a CrossWave cordless max wet dry vac, which cleans with fresh water and vacuuming up the dirty water, and though it's not a robot it provides the type of clean floors that I'm looking for in a robot vac as well. The eufy was the only one that I saw that operated in this way.

I owned a Shark Ion Robot for years. It was a random drunken sailor, bumping into everything. Eventually it would clean everywhere but without rhyme or reason. Low pile carpet and vinyl. Then we tried the Envoya Robot Vacuum. It was like a nazi, rigid patterns. It got stuck everywhere, the app was difficult, and I couldn’t map it. This time we are one floor throughout, LVP. No door jambs or anything. We returned it. Next we got the Eufy self-emptying with LIDAR. (Can you hear the angels singing?) What a wonderful vacuum! It maps the perimeter first. Then it goes inside the middle very systematically. It never gets stuck. It slows down because of the LIDAR and doesn’t bump into the furniture. When it docks, it empties in a powerful, long suction. Then a razor runs back and forth across the bar cutting any hair or string. Then it empties again! When it encounters a rug or a spot with extra debris, it automatically increases suction power. I sing its praises. Cost was under $300. Strongly recommend.

I'm a eufy enthusiast. They're quiet and affordable. We're about to upgrade to a self emptying one in our main room.

Eufy makes great ones and has a very easy app to use. Get one with the emptying station and you can leave it untouched for months. Be sure to follow maintenance recommendations - clean out dust bin every N hours, that sort of thing. If you go that route and have a dog (or kid) that sometimes leaves a mess that would make a bigger mess getting vacuumed, time the scheduled cleanings for after you've been around and had the chance to pick up small stuff and make sure there's no messes.

Gentle cleaning can make some of the parts last longer than they say - in particular the ones with soft rubber/silicone seals. I bought generic (non Eufy brand) bags for my self-emptying station and they work great.
