In the end, I still think you’ll be happier. The E28 has over double the suction compared to S1 Pro. I think all robotic vacuums dirty water tanks smell awful. I do NOT work for any of these companies and use this info at your own risk, but I have found a little splash of Mr. Clean into the dirty tank after each empty keeps the smell manageable. If mopping is your main priority, you should just look at Eufy. The spinning mops are outdated; they have only one water tank, which means they must return to the base to wash the mop. But eufy S1 Pro, E28, and E25 have two water tanks, allowing them to wash the mop while mopping, so they don’t spread dirt around. I have a UK version of E25, and I love it! It’s so much better than my previous spinning mops.

Honestly, for a robot vacuum with a roller mop, I think E28 is a great deal. Both Eufy S1 Pro and Ecovacs X8 Pro are priced over $1000. E28’s mopping performance is probably on par with theirs.

How big is your floor area? Is it a one-story or two-story home? If you don’t mind how long the robot takes to finish cleaning, then one unit should be enough, even with two floors. Most robot vacuums can handle multi-level cleaning; you’d just need to carry it upstairs when needed. What’s your budget like? Two of the most popular models here right now are eufy E28/E25 and MOVA P50 Pro. Eufy’s latest models have improved suction and anti-tangle performance, which a lot of pet owners really appreciate. And it uses the best roller mops for mopping. MOVA, which is a sub-brand of Dreame, also has a solid reputation and strong features.

Many robot vacuums can get the job done; Roborock, Eufy, and Dreame are all reliable brands. I suppose pet hair and paw prints might be big issues in your home, so preventing tangles and mops are important. The Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy E28/25 feature dual separation rollers to tackle tangles. For mopping, spinning mops are sufficient, but if you want the best, go for a roller mop.

I just got the Eufy E28 and it is quieter than the S7+ that I was using previously. The auto emptying is definitely loud though. I have a lot of pets and have had zero tangles so far with the split brush, which was the biggest reason I upgraded vacuums at all. I am happy with how little I've had to touch it, which has been nothing at all after the initial filling of water. The obstacle avoidance is good so far for my cords and such, but I cant speak to something like the edge of a blanket yet. It has a feature that goes over dirty areas again if it senses a heavily soiled area. There seems to be a feature where the vacuum will inspect the area after its done cleaning to see if there are stains left behind.

I tried the eufy e28 (way too loud) and the L40 and now I have the mova p50. L40 was ok. Didn't detect my rugs properly and was pretty good on object avoidance but the reason I returned it was because it was always leaving water on the bottom of the base station. Gross water that I'm sure would start smelling over time. The base station or the P50 drains and has always stayed clean. For pnject avoidance, in my experience, it's much better than the L40 and it detects ALL my rugs properly. From what I'm reading on vacuum wars, the ecovacs are good at cleaning but worse than the L40 at object avoidance. We aren't necessarily cleaning up the floors before the vacuum runs everyday and the cats sometimes knock something down like a string that dangles and I don't need my vacuum eating half of it and tearing the house down around it :) I'm so happy with the P50, I bought a second for our top floor I should also add that the L40 is newer than the X40 and I've heard that it's better in some respects. The P50 appears to be between the L40 and the X50.

Not sure if US only but Eufy e28 is $200 off in the Eufy app (not the eufy clean app- just the main "Eufy" one, find promotion in shop tab).  Have hardwoods and pets and went with this after getting overwhelmed with all the different options/reviews. Just unpacked mine so can't really comment on performance yet but so far I like it 10 minutes into its first run haha. Definitely way quieter than I expected, but I'm coming from a cheapo Neato bot from 8 years ago so I'll probably be stoked with anything.  *edit: holy moly it's loud when emptying to the base station.  Thankfully that's only a few seconds.

Roborock handles my 2400 sq/ft garage-shop with epoxy floor. Testing a Eufy E28 at the moment, and it seems to be doing okay as well. However, not sure either meets your price or location requirements. That seems to be on the lower side for most capable robots.

Same for Eufy E28... I have a bunch of Roborocks and tried the E28 in a light commerical/office setting and the mapping is pretty terrible. I can barely get it to complete a single task. I have a Roborock QRevo cleaning my 2400 sq ft completely open epoxy floor shop, and it works almost without error.

I wouldn’t recommend the ecovacs X9 pro omni if you are in the EU, SEA, and Singapore. The MOVA Z50 ultra will mop much better and does just as well with fur. If in the US, the eufy E25 and E28 is a good choice. If you’re going to wait, I’d wait for the Dreame Aqua 10 pro track. It mops just as well as the MOVA z50 ultra and the onboard fur compression in the dustbin as it vacuums is pretty effective at best using its dustbin space so it won’t clog as easily.

Eufy E25 or E28 for roller mop robots. Both are the same in terms of robot. E28 comes with a spot remover which can be useful. Since it appears you’re in the US, I cannot recommend the MOVA Z50 Ultra which is much better than the ecovacs X8 Pro omni at mopping and Eufy S1 Pro for vacuuming and mopping. For mopping with spinning pads, the Narwal Z10 will be the best (if you don’t want a camera which isn’t recommended if your dog makes messes). It autoempties and has full anti-

A lot of flagship priced robot vacuums vacuum better than the Narwal Freo Z Ultra but the Narwal Freo Z Ultra seems to be king with the smart clean feature. A robot vacuum with flagship level cleaning (and a formerly flagship price) would be the dreame L40 Ultra for 399 USD if purchased from a physical dreame store which will ship across the US for free if you order via phone or email. The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra should be similarly priced and is a good budget friendly favorite. If you want to support a local startup, try Matic robotics’ cute robot which I’d recommend if you want an all in one combo robot with a basic base station. It’s powered by the Nvidia Orin robotics chip so it theoretically is the smartest robot. Currently, it seems the robot is constantly being updated as soon as the software engineers there are aware of an issue. If you want good roller mopping right now and vacuuming carpets isn’t as much of a concern, I’d go for the eufy E25/28 (main difference other than a fabric cleaner is that the E28 has a refillable detergent tank) since it exerts 12N of mopping pressure and seems to mop rather well but vacuuming carpets is another story. The ecovacs X8/X9 only exerts 10N of pressure with the mop but the X9 will vacuum carpets better. More pressure is one of the factors that lead to better mopping.

I'm just an ordinary vacuum nerd that is showcasing my experience with the Eufy E28. My passion is constantly looking at manufacturers new releases and comparing them to find the best of the best. I think the E28 is the current best of the best and I'll explain why. Navigation: Travels super close to baseboards, navigates area rugs and avoids random household debris. What else can you ask for? Its truly awesome and light-years ahead of Roomba. On-par (if not better) with other manufacturers and really has no downsides as of now. Vacuuming: Wow! What an approvment compared to the Eufy S1/S1 Pro. Super quiet on max suction, truly remarkable suction on my carpets and zero hair tangles. The only improvement Eufy needs to make in this category is a lifting vacuum system to prevent sucking up liquids. I hope the S2 Pro will have this improvement. Besides this 1 critique it's truly perfect. Mopping: The current champ of perfectly sparkling clean floors. Have 5 dogs tracking in dirt all day? Run this mop and go eat off the floor. That's how clean it is. Step aside spinny & vibration mops, this constantly clean roller mop is the champ. Spot Cleaner: What a truly innovative approach to our homes continued clutter of devices! Not only is it tucked away in the base station it's also really good. High water flow, high suction and always ready to clean. Easily accessible for some quick baby throw up on my couches or some spilled juice on the rug. Base Station: This area is where I'm torn. I actually enjoy the look and height of the S1 base station. Its sleek and modern looking. Family members think it's some space age robot. It has adequate clean water and it's rather easy to clean with the removable mop tray. It matches the current look of the C20 and takes some inspiration frok the S1 Pro. Just wish it was a little taller. The only drawback to this device is the manual detergent. I wish they had the room to include 2 different detergents that would work for floor cleaning and spot cleaning. For instance, if you need to clean a couch but you have floor cleaner in the tank, you'll have to dump that out to fill it back up with carpet cleaner solution. I would recommend this device over the S1 due to the vacuuming improvements. I would recommend this device to everyone that wants to reduce the quantities of devices and truly needs the king of mopping robots. Good Job Eufy! This is 100% my opinion. I'm not paid. Transparent opinion for future buyers!

My S1 pro sorta does what you are saying. The E28 does a pretty good boxing around the carpets and you can have it vacuum the carpets first as it knows where they are. Definitely an improvement on the S1 Pro and probably better then the roborocks.

The E28 is out, has a great rollermop, anti tangle and edge cleaning. It does have a spot cleaner attached to tue base station so the station is more bulky. I just can’t in good conscience recommend spinning or vibrating mops when someone wants good mopping with dogs. Only the roller mop will clean itself while it’s mopping to ensure a clean floor. The spinning and vibrating pads just smear the dirt as it gets trapped in the fibers then needs to go back and clean the mop pads and then go over it again just smearing it more. They do clean, but when you wipe a paper towel over the cleaned area there is a lot of dirt left over where that’s not the case for the rollermop. The only one you listed I wouldn’t recommend is the z70. The arm is just so limited and I’ve heard a lot people having issues with it. Plus it has a small dustbin to accommodate the arm. It’s so small some reviewers had to reduce the amount of mess they had it clean because it couldn’t handle their normal testing amount. That and like you said, lacking anti tangle. I think just a dad on YouTube has reviewed all the ones you listed and the E28. He buys with his own money so it’s unbiased. I would give them a look and see which one appeals to you.

Got the e28 too. Glad with my choice (here I got it for 880€ with a 12% discount). Arrived Sunday. For reference, I had an ecovacs T30, the station was louder when drying the pads. Overall the station is loud just when sucking the dirt out of the robot, for the rest, it's really quiet. Genuinely very quiet even at max compared to my previous vacuums. The main problem is the apps to me. Multiple apps, the one working the best is not the Eufy Clean, but the Eufy security. I couldn't remap things on the first one. But I can't get the matter code on the second one... The standalone machine is cool too. Not very practical since you need to move around with the wire. But it's efficient enough for me. Also integration into home assistant (for those who are interested) isn't yet done for E series. I am gonna try to add it if I get time.

I have the E28 too and I agree. Context: a lot of cats (11), 4 people (3 with long hairs), hard floor and carpets, cables, multiple chairs and things to avoid. It's very good at not getting stuck or avoid obstacles. It has a camera and a flash to check when it's dark. It's loud only when it empties the trash bin. But you can define "don't disturb" hours so it avoids emptying at those. The robot is particularly quiet even at max. No problem with hairs. I just had to set it to empty every 15 minutes because 30 is too much and it just get filled up and tries to carry on. App is meh. For now, very happy with it.

Eufy, I have the e25/28 depending your budget and features are good. Not sure about the long term reliability yet. But it feels well enough engineered. Roborock products are of a high standard, mine worked for 5 years every day. Avoid ecovacs. The products are not that well engineered making it a 50/50 chance of having a good experience. 2 experiences, 1st: meh for 1 year, 2nd: died in less than 3 months. (Edit: and customer service is just insulting in France... Really, worst ever conversation I could have with a customer service).

My recent eufy e28 (same as the e25 with deep cleaning and a refillable cleaning solution storage) is doing a good job at vacuuming and mopping in my home. I have 11 cats, hard wood floor, linoleum and carpet, the floor is regularly full of litter dust in some places, a lot of hairs and pet toys/cables/shoes... In 2 weeks, it got stuck once on a black cable on my dark floor (a tricky one). I am not sure how it would handle a towel on the floor, but if it isn't flatly lying on the floor, it should not think it's a carpet. But as I said, only 2 weeks, I can't say anything about reliability.

e25 has stronger suction than x9, although people here don’t recommend considering too much importance on that number. i have an e28 (the spot cleaner version of e25) and two cats. it does a great job of picking up hair and preventing tangles. the extendable side brush can clean hair from corners. a big difference is that e25/28 uses two roller brushes, which are much better than a single brush. They push the hair towards the middle and then untangle it.

I was so excited to get the new robot! I had the Eufy E28 for an entire 3 DAYS. Would not vac or mop under my kitchen cabinets, nor under dining chairs, would randomly go back to an area it had already cleaned. The mopping was not very good, tile flooring. So disappointed after reading all the rave reviews. Anyway, I packed it up and returned it, cost me $70 for discount shipping label. I had a BobSweep from Home Depot that did better, but it didn’t have the auto empty and fill, and it was just a little mop pad velcroed on that you had to change after every mopping. I’m going to wait awhile before trying another. I’m waiting to see what SwitchBot’s next one has, also Narwal Flow, and MOVA. I have to get a low profile bot, and with roller mop, and of course automatic plus all the bells and whistles.

Each of these will have its strengths and weaknesses. The E28 will be the best at mopping. Not that the others are terrible, but their mopping systems are inferior to the roller mop in the E28. The others make up for this with smart features, where they will automatically re-mop when they detect they've mopped a particularly dirty area, but like a lot of smart/AI features, the robot may not always get it right. The roller mop system on the E28 will be more likely to get the floor clean the first time. I have a Eufy S1 Pro, which uses the same basic mopping system, and can vouch for its excellence on hard floors with both wet messes and tougher stains. The Saros 10R will likely be better at many other things. There are indications that the 10R is better at obstacle avoidance than most other Roborock offerings, and I've seen at least one review that cast the T50 as only on par with other Ecovacs models. One advantage the 10R will have in mopping: it can leave the mop pads at the base for vacuum-only jobs. The E28 uses the Eufy X10's obstacle avoidance system, which at one time was top of the class and is still probably better than either of the alternatives. It's too early to tell which is better at vacuuming, with both the T50 and E28 claiming superior vacuuming, and the 10R demonstrating that in independent reviews. This is an advantage for the 10R right now: having been out a bit longer, there are plenty of non-shill reviews available. One other advantage the 10R will have over the others: lifting. All three can lift their mops on carpet, but the 10R can lift its whole chassis when vacuuming high-pile carpeting, and can lift the main and side vacuum brushes when it detects a wet mess to avoid sucking or spreading liquid.

I’ve had the Eufy E28 for about a week. It seems to be a workhorse. Eufy appears to be having a Father’s Day sale, so the S1 Pro is $999 today in the Eufy Clean app. I’m kind of wishing I had the ionic water cleaner from that one. They also sell a kit for the S1 pro so you can plumb it directly into your house avoiding the need to empty and refill the water. When I made my purchase I didn’t really get the point of the ionic water cleaner but after smelling the dirty water tank on the E28 yesterday, I really wish I had it. But my dogs are especially gross, so you may not have this issue. The E28 has an added spot cleaner that’s nice for getting spots out of carpet or upholstery, it’s also on sale in the app for $850. I the got the same price on Amazon using a discount code I found on one of the YouTubers videos. So there are codes and discounts out there. Depending on your location you might consider the Mova Z50 Ultra which is not yet released in the US but seems to be available in several other countries.

I recently got the Switchbot K10+ Pro Combo (it was $399 on Amazon, plus a coupon so it ended up being even less) for my upper floor. It’s been fantastic! That floor has 3 carpeted bedrooms, two bathrooms with vinyl floors and a hardwood hallway. The robot is small and can reach the nooks and crannies bigger ones can’t. The Combo also has a nice stick vacuum that works with the same base. It’s great for getting things like stairs that the robot can’t reach. The robot sort of has a mop function but it’s just a plastic plate that you can put a swiffer like pad on and attach to the robot. I’ve completely ignored the mop function, it seems like an afterthought. My household consists of two humans who shed, two dogs, one that likes to eviscerate stuffed toys spreading fluff around, and a cat. I also have psoriasis so I make lots of dust. It’s gross and the reason I wanted a robot. The Combo is new but there are lots of reviews of the K10+ Pro on YouTube. You can still get it without the combo. It was $299 last I checked. This little robot has performed way beyond my expectations. It’s gotten stuck only once when I had adjusted my adjustable bed after it mapped. I created a no go zone around the mechanism under the bed so it doesn’t happen again. Despite my long hair and shedding pets there have been no tangles so for. The mapping and setup were easy and fun. I’ve been thinking of bringing it downstairs to do a second map even though I got the Eufy E28 for the main level which is all hard floors and needs mopping. I really like the E28 but it’s big and can’t fit under my couch or behind my recliner. So it might make sense to bring the Switchbot downstairs now and then to get the hard to reach places.

I just bought two robots, the Switchbot K10+ Pro Combo for my upper floor which is mostly carpet, and the Eufy E28 for the main floor which is all hard floor, mostly LVP. The Switchbot is doing a fantastic job, better than I was able to do with my Henry. No hair tangles at all despite my long hair and shedding son and pets. Henry needs his roller unstuck multiple times cleaning the same space. The K10 did get stuck under my adjustable bed once. I think this was because the bed had been adjusted after the robot mapped the space. I just created a no go area under the bed where the mechanism is. Now I can just tell her to go clean and it gets done. The stick vac is great too. Of course the mopping is a joke but I only need that on the main floor so I was ok with not having a real mop. I’m still not sure about the Eufy. Its side brush has gotten tangled at least once every time I’ve run it (4times in all). The main rollers seem to work well and not get tangled but those side brushes wind everything up. It’s not just hair that gets wrapped around the top of the brush, it seems to spin dust bunnies into thread. So far I haven’t figured out how to remove the brush to get all the wound up hair etc out. I’ve been doing the best I can to unwind it without removing the brush. Other than that it’s doing a pretty good job. Have you tried the Switchbot S10? I almost went with that one but the reviews are rough. Now that I’ve tried the K10 I’m wondering if I should send the Eufy back and get the S10. Do you have advice on this? Thanks in advance!

I’ve had the SwitchBot K10+Pro Combo for a little over a week. I use it to vacuum my upper floor which has 3 carpeted bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with vinyl flooring and a hallway with hardwood. The robot is small compared with others but it is mighty and it can fit in small spaces that bigger robots can’t access. It does have a mopping feature but it’s really just an afterthought, it’s a plastic plate you can attach to the robot that hold a wet wipe, kind of like a swiffer. I don’t use it. The Combo comes with a great little stick vac that charges on the same base as the robot and they both empty into the same bag. The stick is great for getting my stairs as well as cobwebs of my chandelier. The combo is only $399 on Amazon or you can get it without the stick vac for $299. I got the Eufy E28 for my main floor (all hard floors) at the same time. I like both but honestly the SwitchBot has impressed me more. It mapped perfectly, even adjusting when I moved its base station mid clean. It’s only gotten stuck once when I adjusted my adjustable bed after mapping and the bed mechanism dropped a bit so the robot couldn’t go under it. I just made a no go zone around the mechanism and it’s been fine ever since. The Eufy gets hair tangled in the side brushes frequently but the SwitchBot hasn’t had an issue despite my long hair, my son’s shorter hair, my two fluffy dogs and my cat. One of those dogs loves to tear open her stuffed toys and spread fluff all over too. She also likes to roll around in grass clippings and then roll around on the carpet, so this little robot is getting a workout. Here’s a link to the Combo on Amazon, https://a.co/d/ip1nMje

For crevices, you need a robot with a bristle main brush. Dreame L series and Mova usually use rubber brushes, which, according to reviewers on YT, don't pick up dust in crevices well unlike bristle ones. Some Roborock model like Q5 Pro, Q8 Max, Qrevo S, and QV35A/S also uses a similar brush. I think if you don't mind with prices, E28 or E25 is a good candidate because its roller mop is superior. Roborock also has a new lineup called S5A which is the cheaper version of Qrevo Edge. Now it's $899 on Amazon. S5A uses a similar Duo Divide split brush as in Qrevo Edge and Eufy E28, a self-empty station, and obstacle avoidance but only using structured light without a live camera.

I got it for $800 through the Eufy app. I ordered last Friday and it delivered Monday. It is a huge leap in technology from my Eufy X10 Pro Omni. I ran three deep cleaning cycles this week. All settings max just like on my X10. The X10 would have to recharge at least once to complete my house. Also, the X10 would use about half of the base clean water tank per deep cleaning(carpet set to vacuum only). The X10 base water tank is also larger than the E28 base water tank. The new E 28 robot will clean my house on one charge cycle and use about 10-15% of the base station clean water tank while doing a better job. I’m amazed, really. Can’t wait for the clean water tank % left app upgrade for the exact number. The robot is much, much quieter than the X10 as well.

My two cents, instead of using the detergent for spot cleaning my plan is just to use an old fashioned spray bottle then suck it up. Typically you want to treat the spot and wait 5mins anyways, so I'll treat it then grab the spot cleaner and clean. As for the E25 vs E28 I think it's a no brainer. You can get the E28 for $800, which is only an extra $50. If you do a cash back site as well that shrinks that gap even more. It was an extra $40 in my case to get the E28. Plus I don't have to wait until mid-end of June.

Imo the only piece that made the Curv.desierable was the split rollers for tangles. He E28 has it now. The mopping is truly awesome. Everything else all brands do equally imo. $800 for the E28 is really tough to pass on. If you want to save an extra ~$50 and don't need or want the spot cleaner the E25 will come out in a month or so.

Depends what your priorities are. The E28 will have superior mopping for sure. Not sure which of the 2 will have better carpet performance. Possible the Curv could be slightly better but I’ve yet to see a comparison between the 2. The Curv will have a slightly more featured filled base station. I have the E28 and am very satisfied. Works great on my hardwoods and my low pile rugs. It’s also quite a bit less than the Curv.

I personally believe you made the right call with the E28 over the S1 pro. First off, it’s cheaper. But more importantly, it just has more features and will be better at cleaning overall. Mopping performance should be very similar. The E28 has the added benefits of much better suction for vacuuming, swing out side brush for corner cleaning, anti-tangle dual spiral brush roller, and the spot cleaner off course. The only things the S1 pro has over the E28 is the ozone cleaning if the water tank, and the ability to hook up to plumbing if wanted. The navigation might be slightly better too, but the E28’s navigation is strong and has worked well for me. The base station emptying is loud on the E28, but it’s for less than 30 seconds total. Not a big deal in my opinion.

So far I’m very impressed with the E28. I’ve run it about 7-8 times since I got it last week. I have young kids, a dog, and a cat, so my house is constantly messy. But my floors look so much better since getting the E28. It won’t totally replace my stick vacuum and mop (no robot would), but I doubt I’ll need to pull them out more than a couple times a month now. Dried on food still needs to be manually cleaned. The app is solid as well and I feel the features are intuitive. I found Just a Dad’s video to be pretty good, but I think he was overly harsh. I haven’t really had any issues with obstacle avoidance, but I also don’t really care if it occasionally bumps into a toy or something. Also, he knocked it for the brush roll hair clog, but he didn’t realize (or mention) that the brush detangling happens back at the base station during cleaning. I’ve had no issues with the rollers getting tangled or clogged. It is loud when it’s emptying the dirty water and dustbin back at the station, but this is only for a few seconds each and something I can totally live with (surprised to read/hear about how upset people are with the sound). Let me know if you have any questions about my experience and I’ll try my best to answer them.

No, the floor cleaning solution is directly added to the clean water tank on the robot when it’s adding the water. So it never mixes into the clean water tank on the base station. They sell/will be selling a fabric cleaning spray they recommend you use with the spot cleaner, but I’m sure you can use any spray you want, or just use the spot cleaner without anything extra.

Mopping robots have come a very long way in recent years and can provide a very solid clean. They haven’t fully replaced manual cleaning, but they definitely keep your house in good shape and make your manual cleanings much less frequent. To address some of your questions: 1. I’d need to see what the room transitions look like, but if they are pretty short, most robots should be able to handle them. 2. They can handle carpet. The effectiveness of the carpet cleaning varies model to model. Most of the mid range and better robots will have lifting mops that will detect carpet and lift automatically to avoid getting your carpets wet. Many even increase suction when they detect carpets for better cleaning. 3. Carpets shouldn’t be an issue, but you can always make the robot avoid them if you prefer. 4. Not as sure on this. They all have to send some data I’m sure, but often times it’s encrypted and you can usually opt out of most of it if preferred. 5. Depending on the type of mopping system you get will determine how deep the mop cleaning is. I’d highly recommend getting a roller mop system (see the Eufy E28/25, the new ecovacs, soon to be released Narwal Flow, ect). I have the E28 and I’m very impressed with its overall cleaning. Mopping is great. Check out vacuum wars on YouTube. They aren’t perfect, but will give you a good idea of all the robots, their strengths and weaknesses, and their features. Happy to try to answer any other questions.

Since you don't have carpet look at the Eufy s1, e25/e28. The s1 obstacle avoidance is pretty good and it's the best performer for hard floors. Dreame and Mova have the best object avoidance in the market but won't perform as well as the Eufy on hard floors. Dreame/Mova would be a good choice if you had mixed flooring as they do better on carpets than Eufy.

I had the Roborock Qrevo Pro and it vacuumed well and emptied itself. I ended up taking it back because, though vacuuming is part of the priority, the main priority is mopping for me. The Roborock doesn't actually pick up the mopping water, so basically just pushing around what it already mopped until it gets back to its station to clean itself. So in areas like my laundry room with tile the dirt would catch on the edges of the tile leaving a residue that made the floor looking dirtier than it was previously. I've done a bunch of research, and I will be getting a eufy with the Hydrojet system. I have 6 dogs (2 of which are Great Pyrenees), so there's LOTS of hair, but my rumba does an ok job with that when it works more than once a day. BUT the dogs also bring in icky paws at times, so I really want a robot one that cleans and sucks up its dirty water and continuing to clean with fresh water. The eufy's fit the bill. I currently have a CrossWave cordless max wet dry vac, which cleans with fresh water and vacuuming up the dirty water, and though it's not a robot it provides the type of clean floors that I'm looking for in a robot vac as well. The eufy was the only one that I saw that operated in this way.

I owned a Shark Ion Robot for years. It was a random drunken sailor, bumping into everything. Eventually it would clean everywhere but without rhyme or reason. Low pile carpet and vinyl. Then we tried the Envoya Robot Vacuum. It was like a nazi, rigid patterns. It got stuck everywhere, the app was difficult, and I couldn’t map it. This time we are one floor throughout, LVP. No door jambs or anything. We returned it. Next we got the Eufy self-emptying with LIDAR. (Can you hear the angels singing?) What a wonderful vacuum! It maps the perimeter first. Then it goes inside the middle very systematically. It never gets stuck. It slows down because of the LIDAR and doesn’t bump into the furniture. When it docks, it empties in a powerful, long suction. Then a razor runs back and forth across the bar cutting any hair or string. Then it empties again! When it encounters a rug or a spot with extra debris, it automatically increases suction power. I sing its praises. Cost was under $300. Strongly recommend.

Eufy makes great ones and has a very easy app to use. Get one with the emptying station and you can leave it untouched for months. Be sure to follow maintenance recommendations - clean out dust bin every N hours, that sort of thing. If you go that route and have a dog (or kid) that sometimes leaves a mess that would make a bigger mess getting vacuumed, time the scheduled cleanings for after you've been around and had the chance to pick up small stuff and make sure there's no messes.
