"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"
"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"
"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."

"The roborock I have kicked and smashed with my foot so many times out of anger when it doesn't collaborate, and still he rocks 4-5 yrs later and no broken parts"
"they are extremely durable. ... I’ve got well over 1000 miles out of a pair and they still have grip and the uppers are in great shape"
"I've used them for 1500 miles of multi-day hiking with no issues!"

"It picks up all the cat fur, all the dog fur, all the litter, all the human hair."
"I have one teenager who’s messy and a dog who sheds like it’s her job. It’s been a game changer."
"I’ve seen on the camera the poor guy making multiple trips to self empty while in one room but it’s cut the hair buildup tenfold."

"The AceClean dryboard (its mop pad cleaning tray) on these models is currently the best self cleaning mop tray that can clean its mops as the only maintenance required is to occasionally clean a removable palm-sized drainage filter and wipe down the flat dryboard (no nooks and crannies for dirt to hide)."
"I would WAY rather take the vacuum back to the dock once every few weeks than vacuum all the time. ... I am more than happy to pay $150/year to eliminate 99% of my vacuuming. I would happily pay double that."
"the new dreame robots (L40S ultra, L40S pro Ultra, and the X50 Ultra) in Australia cleans its own filter when it autoempties."

"it is also way more prone to tracking pet messes about, that happened once with a pile of cat vomit and I was a little traumatized."
"if you take if off the dock yourself it loses the mop function unless you restart it literally 10 times"
"for the love of God please don get a roomba combo model. They don work… ever."

"dustbin clogs of fur where there’s empty spaces on the side due to an inefficient dustbin design"
"One thing I’ll add is that it needs dust emptying much more frequently than other robots because its dust bin is smaller than typical."

"Now that we have kids it's even more work, we don't always tidy up each day, toys often stay outside, some have their permanent or semipermanent place on the floor (like the doll bed, bathtub, toilet and foodtable we all have on the carpet like it was a little house). ... I'd have to turn the entire kid's room into a no go zone and even then sometimes it will suck in a small toy underneath the couch or the table or wherever that I might have overlooked and then stop the entire cleaning job."
"My previous 11s max was replaced for bumping into things."
"it has ZERO navigation - bumping against walls and furniture is how it knows to turn around and go another direction. ... It absolutely will hit objects and walls. ... cleaning 175sf takes it about 40-60 minutes."

"That makes them clench down, and therefore makes them hard to push and pull on that type of carpet. ... it was very difficult to push on that carpet until I adjusted it."
"Only if you have a few, small low pile rugs. The turbo head isn meant for carpeting."
"All 3 are excellent options though as long as you don’t plan on having wall to wall carpets or more rugs/thicker pile rugs over the next 20 years or so."
I use a Eufy 11s max. For the record, I’m 100% blind and this vacuum isn’t traditionally accessible. That being said it comes with a remote control, which is very easy to figure out and remember, and it only has one button on top to stop and start it and we only use four buns on the remote, which makes it a very easy vacuum to just own. I highly recommend this model if you have non-carpeted floors or even if you do have carpeted floors, it does a really great job. It does not have any lighter so it will just go wherever it goes, but overall with about two runs a week it covers my whole entire apartment perfectly fine. Like all robot vacuums, and all vacuums in general you should pick up and tidy up your place like for example, loose socks on the ground and wires that it could potentially suck up. It does do a great job of detecting when there’s a wire in it and it will stop so it won’t damage your wires. Slightly on the higher price for non-App enabled vacuums but for $160 USD I think it’s a great buy. It is low profile so I can get under a reasonably height couch and a reasonably high bed plus it will run for about two hours on its auto setting or about an hour and a half to an hour depending on how much carpet you have on its highest setting. I’m not going to lie to you. I bought it thinking it was App supported since most of their vacuums are, but I was disappointed that it wasn’t App supported but actually after using it for a week I didn’t mind that at all the remote is actually pretty handy and like I said it’s super easy to remember. Last but not least you have to empty it manually we empty it about maybe once every week and a half or two weeks but like all vacuums, you have to empty it in one way or another and it’s really easy to empty.
r/Blind • Looking for an accessible robot vacuum cleaner, possibly with Appel home support please help. ->I have Eufy Robot Vacuum 11S MAX they are on the cheaper side ( $150). They have great reviews for working on hardwood floors. I have dark wood floors they need to be vacuumed at least every other day. I don’t know if they are good on carpet. But you can check reviews. They don’t have the mapping thing, but they can run in different modes, I usually start with vacuum running around the edges of the rooms. This mode is great for kitchen because all crumbs gather at the edges and corners. Later I let it run wild on regular cycle. It goes without any plan but if I let it run for 30-40 min entire downstairs is very clean. Mine is not that loud. I like to have my coffee and watch it. It gives me a lot of joy watching it cleaning. I think I’m happy mostly because I don’t have to clean. But they can sometimes get stuck so I wouldn’t let it run and leave. I have ikea Poang chairs and it gets stuck only on them. Also if you have any cables or chargers they need to permanently tucked in or you will have to put them away every time you vacuum. Another thing I like, it’s very easy to use, I didn’t have to download any apps. It has simple remote. The replacement battery is like $20 and replacement accessories are cheap too.
r/dogs • Is a Roomba-like vacuum worth it for dogs? I need to be de-influenced for my wallets sake ->If you just want a slim, no-nonsense robot with solid suction and predictable navigation — not all the fancy mopping gimmicks — then at around 300 CAD I would say your safest bets are the Eufy 11S/15C Max for pure simplicity or the Roborock E4/E5 if you want slightly better mapping and stronger pickup. Just double-check the dock supports 100–240V, buy from someone with hassle-free returns, and grab a small stash of side brushes and filters so you’re not stuck waiting on replacements later.
r/RobotVacuums • Suggestions to buy robot vacuum under 300 cad ->Eufy s11 max works great on normal mode. 2 cats and a dog and I would never cut its efficiency at collecting hair. I will admit on max suction it’s loud but the dust and dander it picks up is amazing
r/unpopularopinion • Robot vacuums are expensive and a waste of time. ->So my setup for 4 cats and a dog. 1500sq ft. Hardwood and tile, no carpet. Upstairs: iRobot i4 Roomba. Downstairs: iRobot 980. Downstairs: iRobot M6 mop. My Roombas (iRobots) are great to me because they run where I can't easily reach. They go under things (sofa, bookshelves, beds, etc). They run when I'm not home. They keep the "tumbleweeds" under control. When you get the map dialed in and your furniture / cables organized so they don't get hung up, they're great. Are they perfect? No. But can I tell if they don't run for a day? Absolutely. Whole house: Dyson Gen5detect. I *despise* this thing. Purchased in November 2023 when it was their top of the line product. I've had nothing but issues. Warranty replaced the whole machine in May 2025. This one is even worse; feels like a second cheaper run of the product. It even sounds cheaper when it runs (higher pitch), feels fragile, just doesn't suck as well as the first one, auto detect doesn't work, it won't switch to boost when running on auto., pushes around the dog hair... the list goes on and on. It's being replaced AGAIN under warranty as of August 2025. Robots run twice a day; mop runs once a day. Dyson is for every 3-4 days to catch what was missed and the stairs. At this point, my robots are doing the heavy lifting and we're looking at Sebos. Seems like bagless just will not last as long. Full stop. For the robots, yes bin size is important but HEPA is more important to me due to dander. You want something that will pack the bin full. My 980 thinks it's "full" when it's about 1/4 to half full because pet hair is fluffy and it triggers the full bin sensor. They fixed this on the i4 which will PACK that bin to bursting before it triggers full bin. Run time is less important; most robots have recharge and resume now if they map. I've also had an Eufy (I think it was an 11S?) For $200 I was impressed. I just missed the smart map; it was an old style where it bumps and then pivots to cover an area. It was annoying to watch after a "smart" robot vac. I've gifted these for housewarming gifts and the recipients (who also have pets) like them. I hope this helps.
r/VacuumCleaners • best vacuum for pet hair? which setups work for you guys? ->We have a EUFY11S vacuum, besides it getting stuck here and there or binding up itself after vacuuming up doggy pads, shoe laces and stuff that shouldn't be vacuumed up (100% our fault) , we love it. Idk what some of these guys are talking about, my wife loves these type of things as gifts, hell she even will explicitly request cleaning gadgets as gifts. On the flip side I explicitly request tools as gifts. It didn't imply anything bad if everything is explicit from the get go. I expect her to clean/cook more than I do around the house (although I do help because I'm an adult) and she expects me to do the handy stuff around the house (although she does attempt but it's 100x better to just ask me)
r/homeassistant • Robot Vacuums Under $500: Are They Worth It ->We have Euphy. I would do another brand, I’ve had to exchange it 3 times in one year and once the warranty ended I barely use it because it’s noisy.
r/samoyeds • Roomba/Robot Vacuum advice ->I have a Eufy 11S which works well. Have had it for years. On my third battery.
r/homeautomation • Whats the best robot vacuum for an average home? ->We have the Eufy 11S which is very effective but isn’t programmable short of a few basic functions. At the end of the day it works but not like a regular machine. My grandson loves playing with it so in a house with that many curious kids it may be treated more like a toy than a machine. I use it, a plug in Shark and Bissel stick. The Bissel was a replacement for a model they recalled and I got it for free with the promise to properly dispose of the old battery.
r/homeowners • Are robot vacuums worth it? I’ve got 4 small kids and I’m always sweeping up the kitchen. Now I have a crawling baby so I’m thinking about getting a robot vacuum, preferably the mop/vacuum kind but they are so expensive! Curious if they are worth it and an investment. ->I can vouch for the 11S. I’m okay with a vacuum that randomly bumps into things and daily emptying so something simple like that is perfect for me. It keeps me from leaving things on the floor astray (socks, loose cords, etc) so it kind of makes me keep a neat floor
