I use a Eufy 11s max. For the record, I’m 100% blind and this vacuum isn’t traditionally accessible. That being said it comes with a remote control, which is very easy to figure out and remember, and it only has one button on top to stop and start it and we only use four buns on the remote, which makes it a very easy vacuum to just own. I highly recommend this model if you have non-carpeted floors or even if you do have carpeted floors, it does a really great job. It does not have any lighter so it will just go wherever it goes, but overall with about two runs a week it covers my whole entire apartment perfectly fine. Like all robot vacuums, and all vacuums in general you should pick up and tidy up your place like for example, loose socks on the ground and wires that it could potentially suck up. It does do a great job of detecting when there’s a wire in it and it will stop so it won’t damage your wires. Slightly on the higher price for non-App enabled vacuums but for $160 USD I think it’s a great buy. It is low profile so I can get under a reasonably height couch and a reasonably high bed plus it will run for about two hours on its auto setting or about an hour and a half to an hour depending on how much carpet you have on its highest setting. I’m not going to lie to you. I bought it thinking it was App supported since most of their vacuums are, but I was disappointed that it wasn’t App supported but actually after using it for a week I didn’t mind that at all the remote is actually pretty handy and like I said it’s super easy to remember. Last but not least you have to empty it manually we empty it about maybe once every week and a half or two weeks but like all vacuums, you have to empty it in one way or another and it’s really easy to empty.
r/Blind • Looking for an accessible robot vacuum cleaner, possibly with Appel home support please help. ->I could not live without mine because of a very hairy dog! I have had a "dumb" robot vacuum (as I share your concerns about privacy) for the past 2 years, the eufy 11s max. It cleans randomly (no mapping function) and every 4-5 months I need to replace parts (\~$12 for new spinning brushes and filters), so it's not perfect. But it's pretty low maintenance besides needing to keep any cords off of the floor - I let it run every morning and then dump out the dustbin. The higher quality/more expensive ones require even less maintenance and while you can disable the mapping functions, I don't trust them to keep my information private.
r/workingmoms • What are the best robot vacuums in your opinion - Are they really worth the money? ->We have a EUFY11S vacuum, besides it getting stuck here and there or binding up itself after vacuuming up doggy pads, shoe laces and stuff that shouldn't be vacuumed up (100% our fault) , we love it. Idk what some of these guys are talking about, my wife loves these type of things as gifts, hell she even will explicitly request cleaning gadgets as gifts. On the flip side I explicitly request tools as gifts. It didn't imply anything bad if everything is explicit from the get go. I expect her to clean/cook more than I do around the house (although I do help because I'm an adult) and she expects me to do the handy stuff around the house (although she does attempt but it's 100x better to just ask me)
r/homeassistant • Robot Vacuums Under $500: Are They Worth It ->I have the eufy 11 max. Just a dumb bumper but I love it. Brand new was $150. Have a dog and go to the beach often. Bin is full of hair and sand every day. Walking barefoot on the tile is smooth as butter
r/smarthome • Seeking the best Robot Vacuums - Can they really STEAL user data? ->You're probably looking for the "okay-est" since I doubt any could be considered best. You might want to start with a cheapo like Eufy 11s or 11max or whatever their low-end model is called. We ran those for years and they're okay. It's good training wheels for a $1,000 model since you're still going to have to put up with much of the same pain in the ass maintenance. See if you like it and are OK with clearing the brush and banging the filter and digging out the hair and so forth. If you have pets or even more than a few people with long hair, be prepared to clean the brush with scissors or a knife every run. None seems particularly great on carpet. You're just not going to get as good a vacuum job as you will with a power brush on a Miele or whatever.

r/homeautomation • Wife says it's time, what's the best robot vacuum? ->Very thorough review , amazing how different people have different experiences . I'm new to the robovac world and recently got a eufy 11s max for $130 on amzn. She is dumb as a box of rocks, I can't even watch her lol she only has 2000 suction power vs yours which I think is 8000 , I do have to clean the filter and empty the bin every time . However she very thin so she gets underneath my wood built in and furniture where a lot of dust accumulates. That's why I got her , the higher end models are too thick . She is also quiet so I run it when I sleep . Overall , while not perfect it's life changing , and makes my place cleaner on a daily basis , thanks to a shedding wool rug that annoys the f* out of me . I still have my cleaning person come every 2 weeks but my place is way better between cleanings. For $130 she / 11s max does a great job, I have hardwood , and thin carpets . No mopping as I'd be scared to get mopping in case something went wrong with expensive hardwood floors . I also like there is no app , u just press a button , she goes , and no complex nonsense to figure out with mapping. When I want her to clean a room, see below the technical Savvy no go zones I built lol Anyway my main point is with price come different expectations. She is way better than having nothing , and $130 is a great deal. My cleaning person is $100 every 2 weeks, of course they do everything not just floors . So $130 isn't ever worth thinking about. My strategy was to start with a cheap one , the 11s max and see how she did , amzn allows returns through January. I'm happy enough I'm going to keep her mostly because she is slim and gets under key places I need done. If u are undecided maybe start with a eufy 11s max and go from there . The other one I had my eye on was the eufy x8 pro for 249, that seemed like the best deal but again to thick . Hope this helps
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy X10 Review after 350+ hours ->Eufy 11s max $130 at amzn is perfect for this assuming u don't have any shedding or thick carpets . It works amazing when it's closed in to 1 room at a time on hardwood floors. No app , totally manual , just press a button. It's great and easy. You have to empty the bin each time though
r/RobotVacuums • Best "Dumb" and Durable Robot Vacuum? ->> but something will break or get clogged and you won’t be able to source parts for it or something dumb like that. Totally agree. My eufy 11s has been in service for 5 years. While the main parts remain original, I've replaced some accessories a few times (from cheap amazon stores). This hasn't affected its performance, it still works as well as when it arrived. I see it as a mutual process: it cleans your rooms, and you maintain it regularly to help it work for you longer.
r/BuyItForLife • For a robot vacuum, how long is considered BIFL? ->If you want better obstacle avoidance, then x10 is worth it. I totally agree with u/licquia, obstacle avoidance is related to price, but x10 is a robot vacuum that justifies its price. My previous 11s max was replaced for bumping into things. X10 has made me realize how advanced robot vacuums are. It can easily avoid cables and slippers. I haven't encountered many problems with corners and edges. Its D-shape design has been very helpful in that regard.
r/RobotVacuums • which robot vacuum ->I love eufy because it is cheap and does the job. I have the 11s max bought on sale for $139
r/workingmoms • What are the best robot vacuums in your opinion - Are they really worth the money? ->11S Max which is a cheaper model, although it looks like the C10 is on a huge sale right now on Amazon. I don't have the C10 so I can't speak for it on personal experience, but the 11S Max has been great so I'd assume the more expensive models are also good machines
r/greatpyrenees • Do you guys have any robot vacuum success stories?! Or bad ones? ->No 11s better cuz 11s max only have 1 side brush and use standard filter compared to 2 side brush of eufy 11s and hepa filter
r/RobotVacuums • Vacuum recommendation ->No 11s better cuz 11s max only have 1 side brush and use standard filter compared to 2 side brush of eufy 11s and hepa filter
r/RobotVacuums • Vacuum recommendation ->This is just a blue-sky kind of question: Does ANYBODY make a robot vacuum that is more robust than all the "pancake" low profile models? I have four Eufy 11S vacs right now and two of them are dead. They can't keep up with my cats.
r/RobotVacuums • Wirecutter says don't get a robot vacuum-mop combo. Do you agree? ->I have to do a walkthrough before I activate my ~~four three~~ two remaining Eufy 11S vacuums.
r/RobotVacuums • is there really a robot vacuum that truly avoids pet mistakes ->So my setup for 4 cats and a dog. 1500sq ft. Hardwood and tile, no carpet. Upstairs: iRobot i4 Roomba. Downstairs: iRobot 980. Downstairs: iRobot M6 mop. My Roombas (iRobots) are great to me because they run where I can't easily reach. They go under things (sofa, bookshelves, beds, etc). They run when I'm not home. They keep the "tumbleweeds" under control. When you get the map dialed in and your furniture / cables organized so they don't get hung up, they're great. Are they perfect? No. But can I tell if they don't run for a day? Absolutely. Whole house: Dyson Gen5detect. I *despise* this thing. Purchased in November 2023 when it was their top of the line product. I've had nothing but issues. Warranty replaced the whole machine in May 2025. This one is even worse; feels like a second cheaper run of the product. It even sounds cheaper when it runs (higher pitch), feels fragile, just doesn't suck as well as the first one, auto detect doesn't work, it won't switch to boost when running on auto., pushes around the dog hair... the list goes on and on. It's being replaced AGAIN under warranty as of August 2025. Robots run twice a day; mop runs once a day. Dyson is for every 3-4 days to catch what was missed and the stairs. At this point, my robots are doing the heavy lifting and we're looking at Sebos. Seems like bagless just will not last as long. Full stop. For the robots, yes bin size is important but HEPA is more important to me due to dander. You want something that will pack the bin full. My 980 thinks it's "full" when it's about 1/4 to half full because pet hair is fluffy and it triggers the full bin sensor. They fixed this on the i4 which will PACK that bin to bursting before it triggers full bin. Run time is less important; most robots have recharge and resume now if they map. I've also had an Eufy (I think it was an 11S?) For $200 I was impressed. I just missed the smart map; it was an old style where it bumps and then pivots to cover an area. It was annoying to watch after a "smart" robot vac. I've gifted these for housewarming gifts and the recipients (who also have pets) like them. I hope this helps.
r/VacuumCleaners • best vacuum for pet hair? which setups work for you guys? ->I have a Eufy 11S which works well. Have had it for years. On my third battery.
r/homeautomation • Whats the best robot vacuum for an average home? ->Every robot vac will work without connecting to the internet. What they mean by not having access to wifi enabled features are items such as map creation and saving, room demarcation, no-go zone creation, and scheduling functions. If you want to use the cleaner by just pressing the button to clean, you absolutely can. Just won't be able to access a lot of functions. Side note, the eufy 11s is a random navigation robot and will bounce around semi-randomly connected to wifi or not.
r/RobotVacuums • Good Robot Vacuums Without Internet Connection Requirements ->I can vouch for the 11S. I’m okay with a vacuum that randomly bumps into things and daily emptying so something simple like that is perfect for me. It keeps me from leaving things on the floor astray (socks, loose cords, etc) so it kind of makes me keep a neat floor
r/CleaningTips • Robot Vacuums Under $500: Are They Worth It ->I have an older eufy 11s. It’s been great on hardwood floor and med pile rugs. I have two shibas; the hair and debris is never ending.
r/CleaningTips • Robot Vacuums Under $500: Are They Worth It ->Eufy 11s is a good one. I got lucky and found one at about goodwill for $30. Been great, parts are cheap, and it gets my house clean.
r/RobotVacuums • Best "Dumb" and Durable Robot Vacuum? ->Eufy11s is an inexpensive beast, we shed like wookies plus weekly German Shephard visit who manages to shed everywhere while his owner clogs my washing machine with her hair. I have four. You have to make sure there's nothing on the floor but rugs and furniture, no toys, no cords, and no chance of a pet accident. The three on my first floor (a step up/ down to get into an addition) kick on overnight, they get so much, the one upstairs I manually turn on in the morning, run time is up to two hours, it comes with a tool to cut hair, takes only a minute to dump it, really easy to cut hair off. I had a more expensive eufy and I hated it, it unalived itself by eating its own cord the first use. I don't know of any robovac that won't mangle toys, it works well at teaching offspring put your stuff away or it'll get eaten. Mine are all almost three and all work really well, buffs the hardwood, they're used daily.
r/CleaningTips • Robot vacuum VS dog hair… battle to the death 💀 ->What about multiple cheap ones? For each level? You still have to empty, and cut the hair off with the tool it comes with, I have multiple cheap ones for each area, I have them run once a day and the floors stay clean, emptying them into the trash takes all of thirty seconds, just pick it up, slide out the bin and empty, pop off the filter and tap into the trash, then let it go back to the base. Unless your lab sometimes has accidents, then you need to supervise your robovac, but I love love love my little cheap eufys, trains everyone nothing on the floor but furniture and dirt catching mats or the eufy will get it. My son visits with his German Shepherd who sheds like a wookie, I'll do a furniture vacuum and let the eufys loose and they get up so much hair, they go for about 90 minutes so I'll grab each at about the halfway mark, empty and let them keep eufying.
r/CleaningTips • How do you keep a house “guest ready” without constant effort? ->Do you have Amazon? Eufy11s runs between a hundred to $150, try it, if you don't like it, return it. They have renewed as well. I don't usually recommend that, but I've bought so many eufy products and all but one have been amazing, you'll likely keep it.
r/CleaningTips • How do you keep a house “guest ready” without constant effort? ->I have 4 cheap basic ones, Eufy 11s, those things are amazing, one for upstairs three bedrooms one bath, the others are on the first floor with uneven step up floors because they can't jump, although they will try to escape out the front and back doors. I love those things, they buff my hardwood floors, we shed like wookies and the floors are always clean, I bust out the spin mop once a week for the kitchen and bathrooms but as long as we go shoeless, the hardwood floors stay clean with an occasional dust mopping. I tried an upgrade and hated it, but it trains everyone to keep everything off the floors except rugs and furniture. Also, if you have pets, an accident would be nasty.
r/CleaningTips • What’s the one cleaning hack that actually keeps your house clean every day? ->If the smartphone is the issue, you could use a tablet or Chromebook to run the app. Most robots will support all features this way, including scheduling. Otherwise, the Eufy 11S family of robots came with a remote control that could be used to set a schedule. Eufy only recently discontinued them, but they still seem to be available new on Amazon US. Finally, a few robots today support Matter, a new universal protocol for controlling smart devices in the home. You'd probably still need to set it up with the app the first time, but everything after that could be done with a local-first home automation system such as Home Assistant. Scheduling could be done in the home automation system, rather than via the robot's native scheduling system. This would take a bit of work and some technical skill, along with the need to use an app at the start to get set up. Neato was shut down a few years ago, unfortunately.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vacuum that can be configured on a schedule ->We had one of these too, and we absolutely loved it as it does its job so well. Sadly we had it replaced under extended warranty twice, and the third time (maybe around 4 years after initial purchase) we got a refund and replaced it with a more expensive Roomba. We haven’t done anything scientific but we feel like the little Eufy was more effective day to day, but the Roomba is a whole lot smarter as in it will log where it’s already been and go home when it’s covered the entire area it has access to. The Eufy just goes in a random pattern until its battery runs out. I think it’s fair to say that the Eufy method puts a hell of a lot more strain and wear and tear on the machine in any given week as it has a lot of wasted effort and movement. Hopefully the Roomba lasts longer, but I expect like all of these devices one day it will reach the end of its useful life. They are so good though for parents like us with young kids because there are crumbs and dirt and small messes created every single day. To manually vacuum them every day would take at least 20 minutes for one of us to thoroughly do the whole house every single day.
r/RobotVacuums • Is it normal for a robot vacuum to have such a short lifespan? ->Not an influencer, just an ordinary consumer with hairy dogs and long haired family. We have killed more vacuums than most people ever own lol I started with a Eufy 11s (still works), then upgraded to the Eufy G40+ Hybrid (still works) for self empty and the basic mopping. Have now upgraded to what I'd always wanted, ie a hands-free mopvac, in the form of the C20 (I'm giving the 11s to a friend, and the G40 will go upstairs) They have all performed just fine for what they are, and all were purchased at excellent prices. The c20 is basically the mopvac of my dreams, as not only does it clean well, but the base is relatively small, and it fits under my sofa.
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody looking to buy Black Friday? ->The very basic Eufy 11s lets you schedule a daily time via remote (iirc does not need any wifi), but that's about it. It's a very dumb robot that literally bounces off walls to navigate. It was my first robot and I'm glad i took a chance on it as it proved that it was a useful tool for us, but newer ones are soooooo much more convenient and efficient. You know you can run a combo unit without using the mop, right? It will work just like a vacuum and cause no problem at all.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a “dumb” robot vacuum that still has scheduling. Any advice? ->I've had 3 Eufy robots. The only one which has been a problem was the second one (g35) but Eufy made it right with a replacement snd excellent support; it still works. The other two have been great (the ultra-budget 11s was still working well after 5 years when I gave it away last fall, and we are currently in month 7 with an Omni c20 and very happy with it!). That's a small sample, but they have earned brand loyalty from us.
r/RobotVacuums • What is the most reliable robot vacuum? ->Not exactly "negative", but we have been in a rolling upgrade for about 5 years. Each unit was purchased as "best we could afford at the time". They all still work, so I'm passing them on to kids and friends as they are replaced. 1. Eufy 11s. Best budget entry level. The random cleaning pattern is eccentric, it has very limited schedule options, and the brush roller was hard to keep clean, but it was still better than nothing at all. A good affordable entry point to see if we liked robots (I think I paid like $99, and I had a gift certificate so it was only about $50 out of pocket). 2. Shark self empty rv001. Got it as a refurb for a different part of the house. Pretty good for the price, snd the Shark roller is WAY better than the 11s for long hair/pet hair. Good at getting itself stuck in corners and the app sucks, but for the price I paid, an ok self-empty unit. Plan to continue using it until it dies. 3. Eufy g40+ hybrid (replaced the 11s). Mopping as well as self empty vac! That said, you have to remember to fill the tank and attach the mophead every time, and the pads get pretty yucky. Can't say it's a great combo, but still, better than no mop, and the self empty/self fill ones were still around $1800 at the time (vs $289). It is now going upstairs and I'm giving the 11s away. 4. Omni c20 - everything I've been waiting to hit my budget!! I'll keep using the Shark in the living room as it is kinder to area rugs - the mops in the c20 get caught on the edges as they lift (the only negative thing I have to say about it) - but after a week of trying it out I am sooooo happy with it. No going back - active mopping, self watering and self empty for life!
r/RobotVacuums • What is a robot vacuum you would not recommend and why? ->Thanks! Well, as a happy Eufy 11s and Omni c20 user I can tell you who budget models are for: folks who can't keep up with daily cleaning, but also can't afford $1000+ for a robot, and are willing to roll with "acceptably good" over "perfect!" when the price is right :)
r/RobotVacuums • I write about robot vacuums for a living. AMA. ->I've always used 3rd-party consumables for my previous Eufy models (an 11s, and a G35+), but the ones I bought in November right after the C20 was released have been a total fail. The cardboard on the bag fitting was too thick and wouldn't slot in without a fight, and the replacement side brush squeaked. I've had to re-purchase everything. Maybe they're better now, but that batch pushed me towards OEM replacements for the first time. :-/
r/RobotVacuums • My Review of the new eufy E25 ->The 11s is a great entry level robot - it was my first robot when I still wasn't sure if one would work in our small, rather cluttered environment. It is robust, snd was still working great after 4 years hard use, when I gave it away after upgrading to the Omni c20 so we would have active mopping too. HOWEVER: Cons 1. it has ZERO navigation - bumping against walls and furniture is how it knows to turn around and go another direction. It absolutely will hit objects and walls. This also makes it slow - cleaning 175sf takes it about 40-60 minutes. 2. it has the worst tangling brush of any of the robots we have used (we also have a Shark IQ in another part of the house, as well as an Omni c20 in our main space). I had to clean it every time I used it, and you can only cut long hair off it - the brush is a single molded piece and there is no way to get to the ends other than scissors. 3. You can only put it on a schedule with the remote, and it can only do a simple repeat of every day at the same time. 4. It will eat cables (and shoelaces, and yarn, and scarves, and coat sleeves and... anything its path) - get them out of thr way. 5. It will struggle with dark vertical surfaces. We have a black dog gate and it just banged against it repeatedly every time. I don't know if it will notice a dark horizontal surface or not. Pros 1. It vacuums pretty well tbh. Not as good as more powerful vacs, but not bad at all. 2. It does have one of my favorite features ever that I wish mfrs would bring back: a single button to do a "spot clean" so you just take it to where it's needed and push the spot button (fancy vacs have "zone" cleaning tiu can set in the app but, honestly, spot was easier and better lol.) If your expectations are realistic, you don't mind it taking a while to run, and you're willing to clean the brush and bin regularly, it's a good and very affordable robot. If you have a little more budget and want a better - much better - budget robot, look at the Eufy c20. Decent navigation, anti tangle brush that works pretty well, more suction, self empty, and good mop. The c20 is pretty much the answer to all I have ever wanted in a robot within my budget (regularly goes on sale for $399). Sure, there may be "better" models put there, but not that I can afford, so I'm very, very happy with mine for the price!
r/RobotVacuums • Would the Eufy 11S Max meet my needs? ->Two long haired dogs, plus currently a foster dog. Eufy Omni c20. Floor dries almost immediately. I run it on double mop, and by the time it's gone both directions the mops have used and then wiped up any water. If they come in with wet feet it's dirty again, but since I run it most days I don't really care and just wipe up any big bits, quickly swiffer over just the wet part, or run the mop again as a zone clean. Nbd to me. Dog 1 just goes into another room and gets out of the way without issue. Dog 2 initially barked at the old 11s and G35 and ran away from wherever it was, then decided he didn't care at all and let it literally roll over him until it got his long tail fur caught in it 🤦♀️ Then we got the Omni c20 which is more predictable in its route and he figured out just to move away from it. The foster dog who is only here temporarily was initially terrified of it, so I have been running it on demand when they are all outside to minimize drama. In general, I run it when I'm home, just in case (cf tail-hair-in-bot), but they definitely acclimatized over time. Even the Foster has learned to ignore it to some extent.
r/RobotVacuums • Question about mopping with pets ->Fair first impressions, iv upgraded from the RoboVac 11S and everything about this new device is better. Not mopped yet but will Set that off tonight. However, I have forgotten about replacement expendables which I’ll look about for now. IOS no problems but strange why the app needs precise location, I set that to once only for set up. The ring light isn’t bothering me yet since I took her out the box today but if only a firmware update would take care of that or at least allow a light schedule.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy E25 First Impressions ->Yeah I actually love the 11s because it's really cheap and does a good job, but 2 years is the most you're going to get out of them. The battery is an easy replace. I've also replaced the side brush motors too when they get stupid noisy. The replacement parts are cheap and the videos are really good on how to do it. But it's annoying that these things are designed just to fail that quickly.
r/RobotVacuums • Is it normal for a robot vacuum to have such a short lifespan? ->My Eufy 11s (the top budget pick on Wirecutter) died after about 2 years - first the battery needed replacing then the motor burned out. It’s disposable tech just like cheap e-bikes and phones. I replaced it with a Eufy G30 Verge which is a much better device (and was on sale at Eufy’s web site).
r/RobotVacuums • Is it normal for a robot vacuum to have such a short lifespan? ->I've had my eufy 11s since 2020 and only changed wear items, including the battery last year. Mine has run every day for 5 years, if I could have it run every other day I would and assume newer models have a bit better scheduling. I probably wouldn't go for too many features like a mop, self emptying etc, like cars it's more to go wrong Vs the benefits you gain but it's personal preference. Spares are very easily available and it's self serviceable, I changed one of the brush motors after the gearbox broke (down to me not picking up things that wrap round the sweepers.)
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Robot Vacuum that Acutally Lasts? ->You won't find any besides the most basic bounce around models that still have a physical remote. Like a Eufy 11s
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vacuum that can be configured on a schedule ->I started with a dumb bump around Eufy 11s refurb years ago. Ran it for years, replaced one wheel and a battery (super easy, love the support parts). Just got a refurb Dreame 10s which adds mapping and mopping. I’m sure the latest models does more, but there are so many models and updates, I’m perfectly happy to be behind the curve, save the money, and still have a clean house.
r/RobotVacuums • When we spend big on a robot vacuum, what differences are we mainly looking for? ->Eufy 11s Works great and the random motion is more efficient than programmed maps.
r/homeassistant • What is the best robot vacuum currently that's really worth buying? ->I need a new robot coming from a basic Eufy 11s. I’m a vacuum snob, grew up with parents who had a Kirby (discounted thanks to friends) and Rainbow (1990s models). Now a few friends use Miele canisters. I’ve personally used Dyson that lasted 10 years, now a basic Shark. Will a Matic be too much in my 500 square feet apartment, with a constantly shedding dog? I’m in my 40s and want a more buy it for life (last 5+ years) robot vacuum. Maybe I’m asking for too much!
r/RobotVacuums • Matic ->A) It can probably clean the carpet in your hallway somewhat. Just don't expect it to do a really thorough cleaning like a corded vacuum can do with carpets. The 11S and the vast majority of robot vacuums simply aren't that powerful. There is a reason why most marketing material for robot vacuums feature CGI animations with the robot cleaning hard floors or low pile carpets only. B) If you don't want your future robot vacuum to bump into your cat's water bowl then the 11S is not the right choice I'd say. Maybe it won't bump into it hard, but it will bump into it if it can get to it as there is no way to keep it away from certain areas like with an app or the older style infrared light barriers. If this is a deal breaker then you're better off looking for a robot with LIDAR and an app with virtual walls or zones. C) Can this issue really not be fixed with some zip ties and good old cable management? Often when I read or hear people complain about their robot vacuum not dodging the cable management hell underneath their TV cabinet I always think to myself 'Surely it can't be that hard to get down there and tie everything up nicely?'. If you do it right you'll only have to do it once and future you will be current you forever grateful ;). D) Yes and no. In a smaller space like your apartment both can work just as well. A LIDAR robot will make at most two passes per cleaning run, one vertical and one horizontal pass. This is usually enough, though with pet hair stuck to carpet it might not be. A robot with random navigation like the 11S will likely pass the same area more than twice and from different directions which CAN help with loosening or picking up dirt or pet hair. If you've done a lot of research then you'll probably have already seen these but I'll link them anyway in case you haven't seen these two reviews yet. [This one (skip to 01:24 for hair pick-up)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CodvPLy-GPY) and [this one (skip to 03:30 for hair pick-up)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMTifQMt0SY). If you want a robot vacuum which can truly withstand hair tangling then you're going to have to pick one with active hair de-tangling features like for example the Ecovacs N20 which uses a kind of comb inside the brush housing to comb hair out of the brush. How effective these built-in combs are I have no idea, as in [this review (skip to 04:36)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5p95e66VnI) it is shown to be pretty ineffective though [in this review (skip to 01:14)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45bNaykHOTg) it is said to be very effective. Another robot with supposedly decent hair de-tangling is the Narwal Freo X Plus. It uses a conically shaped brushroll that's not connected on one end so any hair that gets wrapped around it rolls off the roller and gets sucked into the bin. [This video covers it briefly (skip to 01:34)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kELjImA6b8) as well as [this one (skip to 10:05)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy86U3ZiYzY). Then there's Dreame which has a special brushroll to deal with hair called the Tri-Cut brush. It is compatible with a bunch of their models from cheaper to more expensive ones and it is a brush which has blades in it's core which cut hair as it gets tangled around the brush. I have no experience with it myself but have read a lot of good things about it. The Eufy L60 also has a hair de-tangling feature in it's docking station in the form of a small blade which supposedly spins and moves left to right to cut any tangled hair off the roller when the robot is parked, but according to [this review (skip to 02:13)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXpZ3FeCHmg) as well as [this one (skip to 03:30)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taEAggYElLs) it doesn't work very well. Though [this review (skip to 02:00)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZD-YWFt34g) was very positive about it so who knows? There are also robots like some Roborock and iRobot Roomba models which have two rubber rollers which are supposedly not as prone to tangling as rollers with bristles, but they still tangle so I can't really call that active hair de-tangling. Geez, I spent wayyyy more time on this reply than I intended. Hopefully you found it useful!
r/RobotVacuums • Would the Eufy 11S Max meet my needs? ->Can confirm mine (11s? The cheap one lol) has no internet connection
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Robot Vacuum that Acutally Lasts? ->I just have the Wyze cams and enjoy them. But before I got the Wyze cams, I bought a Eufy Robovac 11s. (In July 2019) for my brick floored single level house. Fine and a half years in and the thing is an absolute tank and is easily user repairable with parts directly from Eufy. None of my iRobots laster more than 18 months. None were user repairable. It is or was a Wirecutter fave for years as a budget friendly alternative. Nothing to add on the Wyze ones. Just giving my alternative.
r/wyzecam • Wyze Robot Vacuum owners, what has your ownership experience been like? ->I can vouch for the 11S, have had one since 2016. It's needed a new battery and brushes, but those are easily bought from the manufacturer. They sell a ton of other parts too, like the front faceplate with the IR sensors in it. I bought one and was going to install it since the bot was bashing into walls, but once I got the original faceplate off I found the sensor was just dusty.
