I bought two. Our home has one very fluffy cat and a guinea pig. -roborock Q8 Max+. This one I intend for our main level. It’s hardwood with area rugs. One tiled bathroom (that is large) and one carpeted bedroom. I don’t know how often I will use the mop function. Hardwood makes me nervous for a robot mop, and I don’t mind doing it myself if the floors are vacuumed. -roborock Q7 M5. Then I wanted something very inexpensive for the 2nd level. Separately I ordered just about the cheapest roborock available. This level is all carpet, some tile. Mop function is sort of unneeded but we’ll try it out. (Biggest bathroom has some tile issues so I prefer to mop myself. 3 other tile areas are very small, very awkward shape) This is to replace our Eufy G30 Verge that we loved and used well for 4y, but only runs 5 minutes at a time. Do I pay for battery replacement? Either way, I plan to put this in the basement which is laminate or lvp (I don’t know the difference. Easygoing fake wood :) and some unfinished concrete.

NEVER would I have thought my aged, refurbished Eufy Robovac G30 that can barely vacuum 1/2 the house without running out of batteries and constantly has roller brush clogs and bearing issues would outlast all of iRobot.

I've had a Eufy G30 running every other day for 3+ years in our basement. I finally grabbed a generic maintenance kit for it off Amazon for $12.99. New filter, side brush and roller brush, etc. I don't know if it's "Buy it for Life", but it's certainly been working fine for a long time. I have a weekly routine of emptying its little plastic container, and it's always full of dust, hair, cat litter, etc. It obviously is doing its job!

so i’ve had my eye on the [eufy robovac g30](https://oklookup.com/review/eufy-robovac-g30/) for a while now. honestly, it really does a decent job with pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. the suction power is pretty solid, and it comes with a nice little boundary strip thing to keep it from wandering into certain rooms. but, tbh, it can get stuck on the edges of carpets sometimes, which is kinda annoying. like, you think it’s doing its thing, then you find it just chilling in the corner. overall, though, it’s been pretty helpful. other options like the roomba are good too, but they can get pricey. just my two cents!

Second this. I just got my x40 ultra refurbished and I think I cry a little after my first run, as for someone who upgraded from a eufy robovac g30. Amazing price and performance!

Eufy G30…. Had it for a few years…. It does a great job….. you should ask people what the names of their robo vac is…. It’s telling about a person….. mine is named Optimus Grime.

Looking through other posts about this, it seems like all of the recommendations are for vacuum/mop robovacs, I really just want the best option that only vacuums. We have one low pile rug, everything else is laminate flooring or tile. Previously had the Eufy G30 which was fine. I’ve seen that duorollers with the roborock q8 are good, but I don’t need the mopping part. Same for mova p10, seems great but I don’t want to spend extra for mopping. I also don’t care either way about a self emptying docking station. So, are there better options outside of the duo vacuum/mops that are under $400?

DO NOT BUY A EUFY!! Worthless with cat hair. I have had 3 different auto vacs. Roomba, then Eufy and now Mova P10 Ultra Pro Gen 2. The Roombas was good at vacuuming but not picking up cat hair(I have 3 cats), the Eufy was totally worthless, after a week it would lose the mapping and not complete laying out a new map, it rolled up cat hair and left balls of it on the floor. Now I have the MOVA which is excellent! It picks up cat hair and spilled litter. Works great on carpet and bare floors, maps great and is actually the best brand I’ve found. Just don’t buy a Eufy what a waste of $$.
