Eufy S1 Pro and S1 are the best for mopping 🙂
r/RobotVacuums • The best, mop only robots? ->Wow this sucks...I haven't had this experience at all, quite the opposite actually. And I have pets and a 'long haired' partner 😐 My take on the Eufy products: I have 4 x X10 (yes, 4), 1 x X9, 1 x L60 and 2 x S1 and just pulled the trigger on a C20. IMO, best obstacle avoidance in the business (Eufy makes cameras so the R&D was already there). Should the robot gets stuck it's for 2 reasons: 1. the mapping isn't done when the house is vacuum proofed (item picked up). 2. the house is messy beyond help... Regarding support, Eufy's is litterally the best in the business. Period. They've.always been quick, efficient and polite during the rare occasions where I had issues (S1 was leaving droplets after cleaning). Also Eufy sells the best 'mid-high range' and high range mops in terms of performance AND value. By this I mean that Dreame X40 is probably slightly better given it's extendable mops. But then agains its twice the price. And at a slightly lower price, the Eufy S1 blows it out the water in terms of mopping performance (X40 is significantly better at vacuuming though). The drawbacks: Vacuuming performance on carpet is Eufy's Achilles' heal for HYBRID ROBOTS. This distinction must be made because to be fair, their 'vacuum only' robots are as excellent as they are affordable. In the case of hybrids (X10, S1 and C20) it is 'ordinary at best'. It works fine - don't get me wrong - but 'fine' is as good as it's gonna get. I run multiple passes and this mostly takes care of the weaker vacuuming performance. I believe this is due to the roller itself, which is also much narrower than what the competition offers. Interestingly, the roller mop on the S1 takes *the whole width* of the robot. They should apply this design to the vacuum's roller too. That being said, Eufys are interesting as they're better than the some of their parts. And by this I mean that their excellent mopping abilities combined with their 'ok' vacuuming performance does make them *very good* over all, while providing excellent value. IMO, here's the best bang for your buck (i.e: value) with BF's discounts, in this specific irder order: 1. Eufy C20: good vacuum and mop according to reviews. MUCH cheaper by a 1000 miles, basic navigation (not the best if you have pets but will be more than enough otherwise). I also like the fact that they brought the 'hairy roller' back. Rubber rollers don't tangle as much but if you deal with short hair it should be excellent. 2. Dreame X40 Ultra (biggest discount, extendable arm and mop pads). 3. Dreame L40 Ultra (latest and greatest, same concept as the X40 without the dirt detect feature. Smaller battery, slightly lower suction but same real life performance. Navigation seems to be slightly better, although the X40 as a slight edge with object avoidance). 4. Eufy X10: Best all arounder by far. Great in corner, fantastic obstacle avoidance. Water tanks could be a tad larger and mop pads are not as 'squishy' as the X9's. I sometimes feel like it could use more water, which is something that I wasn't noticing with the now discontinued X9 (Eufy, if you're reading this, bring the X9 back at the same price as the C20 please!). 5. Eufy S1: if your primary requirement is the best mop in the business. Super quick too and unbelievably efficient with water. The X10 is significantly better in corners though and a bit better on carpet. Also the S1 requires a bit more maintenance (nothing problematic). Although I wish the base station was shorter and wider to accommodate for larger and wider water tanks. The tanks are pretty narrow and not as easy to clean, which is noticeable considering how much more grime the S1 is able to pick up compared to - well - ANY other other robot on the market today (the thing cleans the best by far. No comparison). Now, none of these robots are in the same category but we're talking *value*, not price. For unbiased info online (shocklingly hard to find), the best youtube channels IMO are "Justadad" and "Jamie Andrews". They both have amazing, non-sellsy no bullshit reviews. Good luck and let us know which bot you end up taking home :)
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody looking to buy Black Friday? ->I have 4 dogs so dog hair is a thing, but with either of my choices you will have clean floors and clean air in no time! I have several different brands (I'm a hobbyist 😄) and these are my top picks looking at your budget. For a Vacuum only device I would suggest a Roomba j9+ non combo, it's an incredible vacuum and easy to maintain. I wouldn't suggest the J9+ combo though, for that then definitely the Eufy X10 Pro Omni. It is very impressive or the Eufy S1 which I think is the best Combo device available right now.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vacuum good with LOTS of dog hair! HELP! ->I’ve been using a Eufy S1 in a large mostly open space. It cleans great but the mapping is problematic. I tested it at my home and had the same mapping issue. While it cleaned great, the mapping is not. It is being returned and I’m trying a mova next.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot Mop options for concrete garage/warehouse floors? ->The S1 was solid for about 30 cleans, then it just went nuts. Eufy said the space needed more obstacles. I tired cones places throughout. That didn’t help. If the mova doesn’t work, I’ll try roborock next
r/RobotVacuums • Robot Mop options for concrete garage/warehouse floors? ->I’ve had an S1 (not pro) a few months. It cleans great. The problem has been the mapping glitching. It is being returned.
r/RobotVacuums • eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S1 Pro RDS or roborock S8 MaxV Ultra RDS? ->This. I've had 6 robot vacs. Just got the Eufy S1 about a month ago...my hardwoods have never been so clean. It is expensive, but worth it.
r/RobotVacuums • Can robot vacuums with mopping functions really clean well? ->Eufy S1 is fantastic on my hardwoods
r/RobotVacuums • Best mopping robot for hard floor ->So with eufy you’d be able to set multiple schedules per day. With shark you’re limited to 2. But if mopping is a priority I’d do the eufy s1 or the eureka j20 with the rolling mops.
r/RobotVacuums • Anyone have the Power Detect 2-in-1? I’ve been wanting to try a mop combo, but not sure how well they work. ->I got it for 999 and it’s amazing. We only have one rug downstairs so it was more for the mopping features with 3 young kids. I don’t have any issues with the vacuum for our purposes but we sweep or vacuum (with a Dyson stick) the large messes. I went back and forth on different robot vacuum/mop combos and finally had settled on the S1 because mopping was most important and I don’t think it can be beat in that department at the moment.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 pro on sale for $1200-worth it? ->Unless the mop is constantly washed and disinfected due to the Ozon Water it produces while on the go like for example the Eufy S1, the Mop is only dragging dirt around. The Tech seems pretty wonky at best and if they want it to not break within a few Months there is a lot of research still to do.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame X50 Pro reviews are in. One small leap for robot vacuums, one giant leap in convenience. ->I just got the S1 to clean up after my German Shedder. Most of my house is hard wood so I cant speak to carpet cleaning but the S1 is great on bare flooring. Not sure how long the bag will last before full but if its like my x10's it will take a couple months. Stay away from the x10 as the hair gets pulled into the wheels and causes them to jam up and eventually break. They seem to have fixed this issue on the S1.
r/RobotVacuums • What robovac would be best for 3 long haired dogs? ->Eufy S1 cleans as well as a mopping machine.
r/RobotVacuums • Can robot vacuums with mopping functions really clean well? ->After daily vacuuming then mopping, my hardwood floors became notably softer and had a shine. I’d recommend robots with roller mops or spinning mops. For roller mop robots, I’d recommend the eufy S1 (Pro), eufy E25/E28, MOVA Z50 Ultra, and the Narwal Flow. All of these robots except for the eufy E25/E28 will have good obstacle avoidance. For spinning mop robots, I’d recommend dreame/MOVA robots with the AceClean/jetspray dryboard, the Narwal Freo line with an all in one base station, the roborock qrevo line. If obstacle avoidance is important, I’d consider the Dreame L40S Pro Ultra, L/X50 Ultra and the Narwal Z/Z10 Ultra.
r/HardWoodFloors • Robot Vacuum Mopping Hardwood? ->Right on! I also have 2 S1 Pros and 1 S1. Very similar mopping and I think the AI based navigation does a better job with edge cleaning on the S1/E28 compared to S1 Pro. Your metal filter handles will rust if you have used harsh chemicals in cleaning. They are also supposed to be replaced. You should reach out to support and request replacements due to the rusting. Eufy is normally pretty fair and nice with these replacements.
r/RobotVacuums • Two weeks with the Eufy E28 ->I just ordered the new non-pro EUFY S1 after evaluating both the X8 and the Eureka J 15. For $799 it felt like the best bang for the buck at this point in the game. Good luck.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for feedback on Ecovacs deebot X8 pro omni vs Eufy S1 omni pro vs Eureka J20 robot vacuum mops ->Eufy S1 non pro version is $699 on sale and it is solid for the money
r/RobotVacuums • Seeking Robot Vacuum Recommendations for 2,000 sq ft Tile Home ($500–$750 Budget) ->The Eufy S1 is a great robot…. I have the non pro model for about a month now… so far so good 😊
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended robot vacuums in the past year ->Garbage compared to the eufy S1 which is $799 and a far superior robot. The shark app is probably the worst in the business. Avoid.
r/RobotVacuums • Is this Shark robot vacuum any good? Good deal? ->I have the S1 non pro and with mostly hardwood floors and scattered area rugs the vacuum works just fine. Overall for the $799 I paid very satisfied. The E25 does look like it ups the game a bit. Time will tell but Eufy does have the best overall offerings as of 2025.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy is the king of the market right now ->Eufy S1 non-pro model $799. Best value, best mopping
r/RobotVacuums • Curious about mop tech. Is vibrating or rolling mop better? ->Never once had a hair tangle with the eufy S1 and its superior to dreame in every way possible
r/RobotVacuums • Best robovac for handling hair with overall strong cleaning performance ->Eufy is the king right now the S1 non pro is $799 great value.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime day ->The Eufy S1 changed everything with the mopping capabilities and design. The Eufy E25/28 new models further advance this technology. It’s just finally getting better.
r/RobotVacuums • How far has vacuum/mop combo units come? ->I would look into the Eufy S1. It has without a doubt the best mopping of any robot vacuum. Especially with how much hard floors you have. The Eufy S1 isn’t anything special for vacuuming. It’s just fine, probably slightly above average. But the mopping is borderline magical lol. I don’t know details about battery and stuff like that so dyor I wouldn’t really recommend iRobot. That’s a “buy it for the brand name” kind of thing that doesn’t give many benefits.
r/RobotVacuums • Should I be considering any Robot other than the S9+? ->i have the eufy x10 it works well at vacuuming hair and avoiding everything else. i wanted the s1 for superior mopping because this robot doesnt do all that good a job.
r/RobotVacuums • The best robot vacuum for a couple with 3 long-haired cats? ->Get the Dreame X40 certified refurb. https://www.ebay.com/itm/356133310411 It's 879 right now on eBay through Dreame store. I have two of them and they are basically brand new and have a 2 year warranty versus a 1 year warranty when purchased brand new.. It is the best robot when it comes to obstacle avoidance. It has all the features you would want with extending side brush to clean edges and corners and good mopping and vacuum performance. I run mine daily on a schedule and they never get stuck and do a great job cleaning my carpets and hard floors. Each vacuum can clean each of my floors on max suction ~750sqft without having to stop and charge and each finishes in around 1-1.5 hours. I also have a Roborock QRevo slim that is just as good when it comes to cleaning other than corners but its obstacle avoidance is atrocious and it eats cords and cat toys and runs into things that the Dreame is great at avoiding. Most reviewers like Vacuum Wars tests obstacle avoidance only on hard floors which is the easiest surface for obstacle avoidance, on carpet most Roborocks just fall flat and eat everything. Nevertheless, I'm boxing up my QRevo slim right now and returning it as Roborock's obstacle avoidance just isn't good and it's side brush extension behavior was lacking with it rarely extending to clean corners and when it did extend, it doesn't do as good of a job as the dreame Right now it seems like Dreame has the least compromises when it comes to vacuum performance. They clean well, avoid obstacles well, mop well and have good app features Roborock main vacuum motor hardware and brush hardware works well but their side brush behavior and hardware aren't so good and their obstacle avoidance is far behind the competition. Eufy has good obstacle avoidance, and great mopping performance with the Eufy s1 but their vacuum pickup performance is lacking behind Dreame and roborock and their app is very lacking in features and smart home integration.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum is a workhorse? ->Since you don't have carpet look at the Eufy s1, e25/e28. The s1 obstacle avoidance is pretty good and it's the best performer for hard floors. Dreame and Mova have the best object avoidance in the market but won't perform as well as the Eufy on hard floors. Dreame/Mova would be a good choice if you had mixed flooring as they do better on carpets than Eufy.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame, Roborock, Mova, or Eufy? ->Your tool needs updating since it seems to put the Eufy products at the top of the list all the time even though both the s1 and X10 are mediocre when it comes to hair tangling. Also the Eufy x10 is overall a mediocre performer, looks good on paper but does not perform well at all. https://www.rtings.com/robot-vacuum/reviews/eufy/x10-pro-omni For some reason your tool ranks it near the top for basically every category even though it has significantly worse object avoidance than than the Dreame x40 and L40, and Worse carpet performance than Roborock's s8 max v and curv.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robovac for handling hair with overall strong cleaning performance ->I wanted a roller mop and had a tough call between you and the Eufy S1. I ended up with Eufy because of the dock and the ability to go a week without refilling the water. I wanted something requiring less maintenance. Why did you decide against the auto emptying dock? (I’m not entirely thrilled with Eufy and am actively considering if it’s going back … so I’m interested in this thread!)
r/RobotVacuums • Matic Robots, co-founder here - AMA (unsynchronised - will answer within 24-36 hours) ->I’m a product manager, so I understand there is no single solution for … well, anything honestly. I appreciate the peek behind the curtain. (My wife hates the size of the eufy s1 base station.) Still in the running, but my only real concern is refilling the water. At 1,300sqft of mopping, it couldn’t even complete my pretty modest ranch house in one go.
r/RobotVacuums • Matic Robots, co-founder here - AMA (unsynchronised - will answer within 24-36 hours) ->My first question: have you read the lease carefully to ensure that the robot vacuum "advice" isn't actually part of your contract? As it is, if the robot caused any damage to your floors, the landlord could use that as justification for keeping your damage deposit when you move out. If the prohibition of robot mops is mentioned in your lease, the landlord could even sue you for damage caused to the floor. There have been reports of robot mops damaging hardwood floors, so you should be very clear in your own mind about the risk you're taking. That said, some practical advice: * It should be possible to control water flow on most modern mops. Be careful of smart mopping features, however, as they can cause the robot to go over specific areas over and over, putting a lot of water in a small space. Vacuum Wars has started measuring the amount of water left on the floor after mopping and incorporating that into their mop scores, which might be useful here. * Stone tile won't have the same problems as hardwood. If you limit robot mopping to the tile floors and keep your base station on the tile floors, you should be in much better shape risk-wise. * Speaking of the base station, if something were to go badly wrong with a water leak, it's most likely to happen there. If you can't keep the base on the stone tiles, get a waterproof pad to put under the base to catch leaks. A loud leak detector is a really good idea, wherever you put the base. If you leave the house unattended, do not schedule mopping jobs during that time, and drain the water from the robot and base. * If you ever plan to use the robot mop on the wood, stick to roller mop designs. The onboard scraper will remove debris from the roller pad as quickly as it's picked up. Be especially cautious of spinning pad mops; if they pick up a small rock, they could gouge a swirl pattern into the wood very quickly. Unfortunately, this would disqualify all the robots you mention in the mid-range category. * Most robot mops can clean with water only, either via an app setting or by just not adding detergent. I would check for this on any candidate models. I can confirm that the Eufy S1 Pro has a detergent bottle, but will mop without the bottle installed. In your shoes, I would purchase with the assumption that I would only be able to vacuum the floors, based on the landlord's directive. I don't want to be too harsh, but if I were a clean freak and had a landlord trying to dictate exactly how floors should be cleaned, I would seriously reconsider signing the lease in the first place. I've had good results with my Eufy S1 Pro on my LVP floors, so if you go for a robot mop, that might be a good choice. It's a roller mop design, and I've never observed it put excessive water on the floor even on the highest flow setting. Plus, it's often on sale for $1000. You should also consider the Eufy S1 (non-Pro), which will be a bit cheaper at the cost of some features.
r/RobotVacuums • Best starter vacuum for brand new hardwood floors ->There are four types of mops on robots these days: * A stationary pad. These are the cheapest, and generally the least effective. * A vibrating pad. This is how your S8 works; it's a stationary pad, except that it vibrates as it mops. Better than non-vibrating pads, but still not the best. * Two approximately-round spinning pads. This is the most popular option today, and better than the vibrating or stationary pads. * A long roller or track mop, similar to a wet/dry vac. These are generally the best when implemented well, mostly because they clean the roller/track as it mops and store the dirty water on the robot for later emptying into the base. Eufy has historically been the leader with roller mop robots, and until recently, their S1 series was one of the best robots to get if you valued mopping performance above all else. They're still a great choice, but they sacrifice some vacuuming performance for the excellent mop, are short on smart mopping features like dirt detection, and don't do edges and corners as well. The newer ones are attempting to fix these issues, with varying levels of success so far. Independent reviews are still a little scarce on the Eufy E25 and E28, and very hard to find for any of the unreleased robots (Narwal Flow and Mova Z50 come to mind here). But I'd say these robots are your best options in the roller space. The Ecovacs X8 and Yeedi S14 also have rollers, and that part of those robots seem to do well, but there have been reports of software glitches impacting navigation and obstacle avoidance; check reviews and user reports closely before buying one of those. Spinning-pad robots can also be a good choice, though I've heard that they tend to leave streaks on glossy tile if that's what you have. Narwal's been releasing cheaper robots in this space that seem to do well. Be sure they have the smart mopping features, and that these features work well; that's how these robots overcome some of the limitations with spinning-pad robots.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Vacuum for Mopping??? ->The bad news is that all current robots with roller mops also vacuum, and all that I know of don't have a mop-only mode. The good news is that there are a number of models which fulfill all of the other items on your want list with varying levels of quality, with more on the way. Here's the list of robots I know of on the market today, with short bouts of summarization/opinion: * SwitchBot S10+. Really cool design, with separate docking stations for the vacuum and mop water filling/emptying. Can be hooked up to plumbing. Can also empty their dehumidifier/fill their humidifier. Can extend the roller to clean right up to walls. Mixed reviews; the mop is a huge positive. * Eureka J20. Independent reviews have not been kind, though the mop has been a standout. * 3i S10 Ultra. Includes a dehumidifier to fill the clean water tank from the air, and a still to distill dirty water into clean water and send the leftovers to the vacuum dustbin. Pretty good reviews, although there's some concern about the longevity of the water management system, there is no way to empty the dirty water tank apart from the still, and the mopping has had a surprising number of poor reviews. Also can extend the roller to get close to walls. * Eufy S1/S1 Pro. Current market leader, with overall positive reviews of the mopping system. Cannot extend the mop roller to walls. Very good obstacle avoidance. (Disclaimer: I own a S1 Pro.) * Ecovacs X8/Yeedi S14. Essentially the same robot; Yeedi is the budget brand for Ecovacs. Very recently released, and the current challenger to the S1. It's still a bit early for independent reviews, but the ones out there are all over the place. There's some concern about Ecovacs/Yeedi robots generally; perception is that their quality has gone down recently. And some that have been announced, but not released yet: * Narwal Flow. * Mova Z50 Ultra.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a robot drum roller mop ->Maintenance is pretty easy on my S1 Pro. I usually spend about a half-hour per week on it; this includes filling and emptying tanks, blowing out the vacuum filter, handling hair (it's not as good at hair tangles, but not the worst either), and cleaning out the debris filter in the robot's dirty water tank. The app will nag you for other maintenance items. You can cut down on maintenance by buying the plumbing kit for the S1 Pro; if I didn't need to mess with the tanks anyway, I'd probably only worry about maintenance every other week at most. Since you mentioned it: the roller slides on and off easily, with a little latch you press that normally holds it in place. It generally runs without needing much until it gets worn out, at which point you replace it, which is about $20. I just did mine after a little less than six months. People complain about the maintenance of the dirty water tank, but I don't think it's that bad. The one thing people get irritated at which I understand: there are three filters that are intended to be replaced in the robot dirty water tank. One of them spends a good bit of time wet, and the little handle to pull it out of the robot has a tendency to rust. It doesn't affect the filter's operation, or weaken enough to break (though I imagine it would eventually if you neglected replacing it for too long). If it matters: I love my S1 Pro, and would buy it again if I had to do it over.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a robot drum roller mop ->What's more important for you: great hard floor mopping and so-so carpet vacuuming, or the reverse? Unfortunately, even with the most expensive robots, it's all about compromise. If you prioritize mopping, you can go two routes right now: "dumber" but really good mopping, or second-rate mopping that makes up for it with smart features. For the former, I believe the market leader is still the Eufy S1 or S1 Pro, with its roller mop. The roller mop is superior largely because it cleans the roller as it mops and collects dirty water on the robot itself, while all the rest rely on going back to the dock to clean the mop occasionally, leaving more of a possibility of spreading dirt around rather than taking it off the floor. Look at the extra features for the Pro to see if they're worth the extra money. There are a few newer robots that have roller mops with some better features, but reviews have been mixed at best for these, so proceed with caution; these would include the Ecovacs Deebot X8 and Yeedi S14 (which are largely the same unit with a few different features and prices, as Yeedi is the budget brand for Ecovacs). Most of the top flagship robots fall into the second category, including the Roborock Saros 10R and Dreame X50. I've described how roller mops are better than the spinning pads of these robots. These higher-end robots make up for that by analyzing what it's doing with various features to recognize stains or messes, or sensing dirt in the water used to wash the mop. In those cases, it will pay more attention to messy spots, go back early to wash the mop, or re-mop areas it thinks might have been too dirty to clean effectively the first time. This can be more effective than a dumb roller mop -- when the AI systems actually figure out that something needs to happen, which they don't always do. These seem to be improving over time, though. If you prioritize vacuuming, my advice would likely be the same for preferring smart mops, as those flagships also tend to be better at vacuuming than roller mops have been so far. These would also be good choices if you're not as willing to sacrifice some vacuuming performance for top-notch mopping. My experience with the Eufy S1 Pro is that the carpet performance is OK, but not great, and I have no reason to believe other roller mops have improved on that. Finally, there are a number of robots due to be released in the next few months that promise to give you the best of all worlds: great roller mop performance with smart mopping and awesome vacuuming. These would include the Mova Z50 and Narwal Flow. Of course, we won't know for sure until we have good independent reviews available; they apparently exist in Chinese, but I don't have access to those, so can't comment. It's possible that the new robots won't be any better than what you can get now, so it's up to you whether it's worth waiting.
r/RobotVacuums • Best for mopping (muddy dog) and pet hair on carpet ->I'll add to the chorus of happy S1 Pro owners. Did you know there's a plain S1, non-Pro? You lose a few features, but also a few hundred dollars off the price, depending on what sale you can get.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 pro on sale for $1200-worth it? ->Is this a IKEA carpet? I think i have the same and my old S7 max Ultra had no problems with it. My new Eufy S1 also has no problems with it. The new Roborocks with lifting wheels would be best option for high pile carpets.
r/RobotVacuums • Ist this carpet an issue for modern robot vacuums? ->I have a eufy S1. I chose it because I wanted something that was near-flagship, but <$1000. I also really wanted a roller mop as opposed to spinning mop pads. I hated the idea of smearing dirty pads around the floor. I've had it for about a month and am in love after replacing a very, very old Ecovacs Deebot which had no mapping nor navigation. The improvement is night and day.
r/homeautomation • Whats the best robot vacuum for an average home? ->Some of them, yes. Some, not so much. The best design seems to be the roller design. There's only like two models with it, one of them being the Eufy S1, which is fantastic at mopping, I'd say it is as effective as manual mopping, if not better. Spinning pads can be a good option too, but stationary or vibrating pads are not good. One think I've grown to dislike is the water tanks. For me, the clean water on my Eufy lasts a few days, and on other vacuums I tested they lasted about a week. The dirty water also needs frequent emptying and also smells pretty bad, even after just a few days. The base stations need periodic cleaning too, and in the case of the Eufy S1, the vacuum itself also needs periodic cleaning, about once every month for me.
r/RobotVacuums • Can robot vacuums with mopping functions really clean well? ->Roborock or Dreame, Eufy only if it's the S1, NEVER shark
r/RobotVacuums • Please help me choose my first robot ever. Lost between Roborock, dreame, Eufy, Shark? ->Eufy S1 cleans its mop continuously, separates the diry water and returns it. But also has the object avoidance to avoid smearing anything around. I have one. you won't believe how dirty your floor is until you see what its mop gets off it in one mopping run, even when done daily.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum with no mop ->I’ve had the same issue as you, where a couple of times the S1 has randomly stopped a clean and returned to dock with the same messages. Still no idea why, hopefully it can be ironed out in a new firmware release. Where did you find out about the new firmware version? I’ve found the S1 a bit overly cautious as well, would welcome it getting a bit closer to edges and obstacles. But overall the cleaning is absolutely superb.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->I would just wait a little bit. The eufy is not that impressive. Drink the kool aid if you like but it can’t do edges well and its obstacle avoidance is garbage. It was designed to look fancy so it gets stuck in corners and such especially around carpet if it even goes on the carpet. Both narwal and ecovacs have models coming out with the same technology that look to actually do edge cleaning and maybe have some obstacle avoidance. The non rollers are old tech imho
r/RobotVacuums • Looking to buy my first robot vacuum and I am completely overwhelmed ->It comes Monday. The eufy went back because it ate cords, lanyards, and shoelaces like it was its job
r/RobotVacuums • Looking to buy my first robot vacuum and I am completely overwhelmed ->eufy s1 is on sale right now and it’s great for avoiding obstacles but ive had issues with it going underneath things when i have all of the safe settings turned on to avoid collisions. it still avoids things pretty well but ive had it get tangled in phone chargers
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum & mop- two floor home, under low sofa, cluttered ->Roborock is best for pet hair, and the eufi S1 is best for mopping floors. Eify s1 pro is okay with pet hair, i have one, but I've seen reviews where the robo is better.
r/RobotVacuums • Dog parents! What vacuum-only robot works GREAT for pet hair? ->We love our Euphy s1. I have nothing bad to say about it other than it won't go under our couch, but our Roomba will.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot Vacuum+mob cleaning should i buy for house mix with carpet and vinyl flooring, i need good obstacle avoidance too, which is the best for the price given ->Roller mops are better because most if not all robots with roller mops, also clean the mop in real time while it cleans. This way the mop pads aren’t just smearing dirt around. If your budget is also 1k look at the Eufy S1. To date it has the best roller mop system.
r/RobotVacuums • Curious about mop tech. Is vibrating or rolling mop better? ->To follow up on my Eufy recommendation. The S1 is on sale right now for $799. The S1 Pro is also on sale for a 1k which is what I would get honestly. That’s a steal.
r/RobotVacuums • Curious about mop tech. Is vibrating or rolling mop better? ->A number of vacuums can avoid cables pretty well (although none are no foolproof): iRobot J series, Roborock models with camera-based object recognition (except the Q Revo MaxV for whatever reason), Eufy S1, Dreame models with camera-based object recognition all come to mind. Your bigger problem will be that nothing on the market reliably avoids horizontal chair legs that are located lower than a typical house threshold. You will need to add extension to them so that the vacuum’s bumper gets engaged on contact.
r/RobotVacuums • Anyone has experience with Robo vacuum that can avoid obstacle like cables and horizontal parts furniture? ->I’m a bit skeptical about the rubber flooring, I could be totally wrong but I’m not sure if mopping that with a robot will actually pick up the dirt from it? Same about the vacuuming. In any case camera or not the robot locates itself by the lasers system so as you mentioned if the space is large enough to not find a reference any robot will get lost unless you go with roomba (prob the only use case where they are not shit). Since you are getting several robots (eventually) I would go for spinning. You will have a lot less to maintain and clean on the dock. I might even recommend Eufy S1, it has better obstacles avoidance since you will use it in a gym, and better mopping since it has roller, though vacuuming is quite sh1t. Lastly, again since you might be getting several, I wouldn’t go for 2025 models since you will spend a lot of extra money for nothing mostly. Curv/Edge or Qrevo Master if hair tangling is not an issue will give you same results for much less money.
r/Roborock • Which model to vacuum/mop rubber floors in gym like setting? ->Alright then if you don’t mind about the maintenance on the S1 pro then it doesn’t get better than that mopping wise. You could also check S1 which has a bit worse obstacles avoidance than the pro and it’s a bit cheaper. Another one with roller mop is the Z50 from mova. They have excellent price per value. Another one with roller is ecovacs X9 or E25 and E28. IMO I would stay away from ecovacs their navigation app and mapping history has been shit through the years, it’s somewhat better now but you still see people with those issues.
r/Roborock • Help me choose between Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy S1 Pro for a house (carpet & laminate flooring) – Any other suggestions? ->looks like a eufy s1? thats what we have and its amazing
r/RobotVacuums • My wife is no longer complaining about how much I spent on the robot vacuum ->I had the Roborock Qrevo Pro and it vacuumed well and emptied itself. I ended up taking it back because, though vacuuming is part of the priority, the main priority is mopping for me. The Roborock doesn't actually pick up the mopping water, so basically just pushing around what it already mopped until it gets back to its station to clean itself. So in areas like my laundry room with tile the dirt would catch on the edges of the tile leaving a residue that made the floor looking dirtier than it was previously. I've done a bunch of research, and I will be getting a eufy with the Hydrojet system. I have 6 dogs (2 of which are Great Pyrenees), so there's LOTS of hair, but my rumba does an ok job with that when it works more than once a day. BUT the dogs also bring in icky paws at times, so I really want a robot one that cleans and sucks up its dirty water and continuing to clean with fresh water. The eufy's fit the bill. I currently have a CrossWave cordless max wet dry vac, which cleans with fresh water and vacuuming up the dirty water, and though it's not a robot it provides the type of clean floors that I'm looking for in a robot vac as well. The eufy was the only one that I saw that operated in this way.
r/RobotVacuums • I just want the best robo vac available and the research is killing me ->I'm a eufy enthusiast. They're quiet and affordable. We're about to upgrade to a self emptying one in our main room.
r/germanshepherds • Recommendations on a Robot Vacuum ->Eufy makes great ones and has a very easy app to use. Get one with the emptying station and you can leave it untouched for months. Be sure to follow maintenance recommendations - clean out dust bin every N hours, that sort of thing. If you go that route and have a dog (or kid) that sometimes leaves a mess that would make a bigger mess getting vacuumed, time the scheduled cleanings for after you've been around and had the chance to pick up small stuff and make sure there's no messes.
r/CleaningTips • Is robot vaccum worth it for those without animals that shed a lot ? And just in general for cleaning /mopping floor? ->Gentle cleaning can make some of the parts last longer than they say - in particular the ones with soft rubber/silicone seals. I bought generic (non Eufy brand) bags for my self-emptying station and they work great.
