Eufy S1 pro since you don't have pets. The mopping capabilities of s1 pro are best on wooden floors, and suction is 8000pa, which is more than enough for hardwood flooring.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum cleaner for wooden floor and no animals ->I haven't seen my Eufy S1 Pro missing anything yet. I have hardwood flooring and tiles. I am getting rug sites and will see how it performs on rugs
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum cleaner for wooden floor and no animals ->Yes, I agree A bunch of reviews on YouTube mentioned this as well.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum cleaner for wooden floor and no animals ->Eufy S1 Pro has the best mopping performance, but it has less vacuum suction compared to all the models you listed.
r/RobotVacuums • Best mop vacuum in the market for hardwood ->If you have hardwood flooring, just go with Eufy S1 Pro (mopping performance is just miles ahead than anything on the market) If you have carpet, go with Dreame X40
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot Vacuum+mob cleaning should i buy for house mix with carpet and vinyl flooring, i need good obstacle avoidance too, which is the best for the price given ->I have hardwood flooring in my 1200 sqft condo. Eufy S1 Pro does a phenomenal job at vacuuming, and it's best for mopping the floor. No other robot vacuum can match its mopping capabilities. It narrowly misses edge sometime that the downside
r/RobotVacuums • Hardwood Floors ->If you have hardwood flooring, get Eufy S1 Pro (best mopping device. No other vacuum is remotely close) If you have some carpets, get Dreame x40 Ultra (edge cleaning and mopping)
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vaccum and mop ->On hardwood flooring and tiles it's excellent I only use on 50% suction settings
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vaccum and mop ->Rolling mop brush seems smaller than S1 Pro The suction is the same. Battery life is 5.5 hours, which i think can't be true in real-world use. I have yet to see any real competition to S1 Pro mopping performance.
r/RobotVacuums • Phillips HomeRun 9000 ->Everyone is just impressed with Eufy S1 Pro mopping performance This does even better job than my wired mopping from Bissell
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended robot vacuums in the past year ->In my experience, it works fine 🙂 been using it for over 6 months
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended robot vacuums in the past year ->1) it doesn't have suction matching Dreame x40 Ultra 2) it can't clean Conor like Dreame x40 Ultra There are some reports of water leaking. I have not seen this in Eufy. I used for over a month no water leaking noticed. This is best mopping vacuum no other robot vacuums come remotely close.
r/RobotVacuums • Is eufy Robot Vacuum/Mop Omni S1 Pro the best? What are your gripes with it? ->Eufy S1 Pro and S1 are the best for mopping 🙂
r/RobotVacuums • The best, mop only robots? ->If mopping is a priority check, Eufy S1 Pro, since you have hardwood and vynal flooring it should do an excellent job at vacuuming as well. I don't have carpet, but people has mentioned Eufy S1 Pro is not that good on carpets compared to Dreame x40 Ultra which has 12000 pa suction.
r/RobotVacuums • Another 'best robo-vacuum for me' thread ->I used it for 6 to 7 sessions, very few hairs on the brush. I have only used it for 6 to 7 times so far. It might depend on how much hair you have at your place. I don't have any pets, so my experience with Eufy is different
r/RobotVacuums • Another 'best robo-vacuum for me' thread ->I own x40 and s1 pro Eufy has excellent support. Dreame are ok it seems sometimes they don't understand what we are trying to say. I can be wrong, but it feels like they use Google Translate to reply to emails. They have better overall product 🙂 S1 Pro is best if you don't have carpets.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame x40 is currently the best vacuum out there. ->Eufy S1 pro
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? ->They're supposed to work on matter integration. I was also looking for this, however since I have the bot I didn't find this feature mandatory. On the other hand, the cleaning and object avoidance capacities worth way more than an additional feature that would be delivered later through a software upgrade
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? ->I debated between the S1 and this for a while, but having previously used Roborock I guess I just stuck with what I knew. There isn’t physical mud piles, but definitely dirty paws quite often. I have the curv set to wash every 10 minutes and I guess I should have accounted for the significant value of the self washing roller on the S1 more intently.
r/RobotVacuums • Review: ROBOROCK Qrevo Curv is a massive disappointment ->Where does this fit in their lineup? New flagship or is it below the S1 Pro? I loved the S1 Pro at first but it's self-destructing pretty rapidly. Rear port is being ripped out by the connector on the base station, wheel squeak is getting worse and worse, leaks dirty water everywhere, auto empty works 80% correctly maybe 50% of the time, pauses all the time, disconnects from base station, and recently went into "standby" in the middle of a task before randomly resuming 4 hours later. Just skimming over this post and the photos, I definitely like the idea of this one better but not if it has the same quirks and design issues.
r/RobotVacuums • Two weeks with the Eufy E28 ->Eufy S1 pro is best for both: vacuum and mop. Tested like 10 robots and s1 pro does the job correctly, finaly!
r/smarthome • What is the Best Robot Vacuum that Homeowners absolutely love and recommend? ->With toddlers that likes to spill milk and other food items on the floor, I cannot see robo mops without roller working efficiently. Why do you dislike Eufy, especially the ones with roller mop, S1 Pro, E25/28?
r/RobotVacuums • I write about robot vacuums for a living. AMA. ->Eufy S1 pro as others have said. It's the best mopping and as you have hard floor the sub par carpet performance doesn't matter. On the vacuuming front hard floors are pretty easy, a cheap robot will pick the bits up from hard floor. The eufy is going to give the best mopping performance
r/RobotVacuums • Best robo vac money can buy for pet hair/mopping floors ->If mopping is your main priority, you should just look at Eufy. The spinning mops are outdated; they have only one water tank, which means they must return to the base to wash the mop. But eufy S1 Pro, E28, and E25 have two water tanks, allowing them to wash the mop while mopping, so they don’t spread dirt around. I have a UK version of E25, and I love it! It’s so much better than my previous spinning mops.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy e25 or roborock curve s5x ->I have the Eufy S1 pro and two long hair cats that are fur factories, The Eufy is well worth the money, especially if you have hardwoods.
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot vacuum? ->Two low-pile rugs are no problem, it just can't handle long-pile carpets. If you plan to lay this type of carpet in your home, it's best to set up a no-go zone.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum Mop Combo: Eufy Omni S1 Pro vs Dreame X40 Ultra vs Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Other? ->Eufy S1 Pro and Roborock Qrevo Master. Eufy uses a roller mop and can clean and mop the floor at the same time (ensuring the mop stays clean while cleaning). Roborock uses a spinning mop but is also excellent at removing stains. I remember Vacuum Wars had a ranking list evaluating both of them, with Eufy and Roborock being in the first and second positions. They have updates on their YouTube if you want to see more visual results.
r/RobotVacuums • Can robot vacuums with mopping functions really clean well? ->Eufy S1 Pro not only does a great job at mopping the floor, but it also has ozone sterilization, making it more suitable for households with children and pets. And because of this feature, there won't be any odors on the mopped floor or in the dirty water tank.
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendations for a Vacuum/Mop for a Busy Household ->If the budget is not an issue, I would highly recommend the eufy S1 Pro. It has the most powerful mopping function, making it very handy for dealing with sticky or wet messes. Check out related review videos on YouTube, and for most wet messes, it can clean it all up in one go. As for smell, I would suggest using floor cleaner to avoid any unpleasant smells. Also, because the S1 Pro uses ozone sterilization, many people have mentioned that it helps reduce the odor from the dirty water tank. Finally, maintenance. S1 Pro may require more upkeep compared to other robot vacuums, but it is worth it. And by "more maintenance" here just means checking the brushes and base station every 1-2 weeks for better cleaning.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robo Vacuum + Mop for a Messy Toddler Household? Advice Needed! ->A fully-featured robot vacuum should be enough. Given that most of the floors are tiled, there is probably nothing more suitable than the Eufy S1 Pro (always clean roller mop, double water tank on a robot vacuum). I can say with great confidence that there is no better mopping robot than this model. As for the carpeted areas, if they are long-piled, it's best to set up no-go zones to prevent it from getting stuck (regardless of the robot vacuum you choose, I recommend doing this). And if your parents are not very familiar with mobile apps, you can download one on your own phone to remotely assist them in controlling or scheduling the vacuum, it's not too much trouble.
r/RobotVacuums • Trying to buy robot vacuum(s) for parents. Don't know if this is the move.. ->S1 Pro didn’t have this feature at first, but Eufy later released accessories to enable it. There's a big chance that the E28/25 will be able to do this in the future as well.
r/RobotVacuums • Best roller mop vacuum combo ->One notable aspect of Eufy S1 Pro is its obstacle-avoidance technology. The cheapest robot vacuums typically don't have obstacle avoidance and navigation features, instead relying mostly on luck and bumpers, which can cause them to get tangled in cords or stuck on objects. S1 Pro, on the other hand, excels in this area with its intelligent navigation capabilities.
r/RobotVacuums • When we spend big on a robot vacuum, what differences are we mainly looking for? ->S1 Pro is a strong pick mainly because of its real-time washing system. If OP is interested, the new E25 also shares the same mopping system, but improves vacuuming with stronger suction and a segmented roller brush, which should be a big help in pulling pet hair out of carpets.
r/RobotVacuums • Best for mopping (muddy dog) and pet hair on carpet ->I can attest to the same amazing mopping performance as OP, and I upgraded to the S1 Pro from a Q Revo as well. My Q Revo was set to do daily vac/mopping runs of my kitchen with a double pass, max water usage, and frequent mop washing (with Roborock detergent). To test its mopping vs. the S1 I let it do a triple pass cleaning of my kitchen with fresh mop pads, then I had the S1 Pro a double pass of my kitchen afterwards. When I emptied the water from the S1 Pro it literally was almost black, even darker than in OP's picture. I was mind blown. Before I even emptied the dirty tank I could already feel the difference when walking barefoot. The Q Revo made the floors feel mostly clean, but the S1 makes them feel immaculate like there's truly nothing on them. Another benefit is the ozone generation totally prevents the dirty water from smelling (left it for 5 days just to see). By comparison, the dirty water in the Q Revo ALWAYS smelled nasty. If I were to rate it I'd say the Q Revo was a 6/10 at mopping and the S1 Pro is a 10/10. It's really just that good.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->I have a Q Revo that I'm not the happiest with (not great suction, mopping is decent, and obstacle avoidance is terrible) and like you, I was planning on replacing it with an S8... until I saw the Kickstarter for the S1 Pro and instantly backed it. Seems to address all of my complaints and can't beat the price ($899!). I plan on doing a review when I get it next month.
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->Haha well that's more of a me problem because of my ADHD/ADD. If I don't immediately go get my phone when a spill happens, open the app, switch modes to only do "Kitchen", and start a cleaning, I'll completely forget about it until hours later. Even worse, sometimes I WILL go get my phone, but then get distracted by a notification or text, reply to it, and then lock my phone... without starting the cleaning! 😂 With the S1 Pro's base being at arm level and right between my kitchen/living room, I'd pass it when leaving the kitchen and could easily tap the play button to have it clean everywhere since it has great obstacle avoidance. It seems minor, but the simplicity of that one step process with a physical button and no distractions is perfect for someone like me. With the Q Revo's terrible terrible obstacle avoidance, I can't just open the app and click the big start button without first pre-cleaning and removing any cables from the ground so it doesn't get caught on them (it broke a lamp by doing this before). It's overall a more involved process that I often will put off until later... and forget about lol.
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->Eufy S1 Pro and it’s not even close. [This video](https://youtu.be/1V737lnS3GM?si=nTw5K-PpV0mTdLqT) explains why very well.
r/RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->The Hook Up showed that this just isn’t true. After he let the S8 MaxV Ultra clean his floors it was one of the only bots that left the floors feeling sticky afterwards. It also was one of the only bots that doesn’t reliably avoid cables, which other recent review have shown too. If those two areas impress you, you’d be absolutely amazed at how the Eufy S1 Pro mops. It’s genuinely incredible and blows all other bots out of the water. Same with its obstacle avoidance, it never runs over cables, socks, etc.
r/RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->What’s your budget? For mopping you can’t beat the Eufy S1 Pro. It does an amazing job at truly removing dirt and grime from your floors. No other robovacs come close since they just spread things around. You can get the S1 for around $1324 shipped with a promo code.
r/RobotVacuums • First time robot vacuum buyer. We have a large home that is a mix of tile and hardwood floors. Please help me decide from your experience. Eufy Xpro Omni, Roborock Q Revo pro or Roomba J7+. (I also really like the Yeedi M12 pro but the app seems to be glitchy) ->I'd say you could do even less than u/thisisreadonly2 suggested. I've had my S1 Pro for a month now have done the bare minimum: rinsed off the dirty water tank filter once, rinsed the mop tray twice, and I just cleaned out the vacuum filter today. I've never cleaned out the dirty water tank or even felt the need to since it hasn't developed any nasty smells (the ozonated water really does work at sanitizing!). Same goes for the roller mop, I've looked at it a few times over the past few weeks and it also still looks brand new, so I've never felt the need to clean it myself. Compared to my Q Revo, this is proving to have far less maintenance needed and I honestly abuse this thing lol. This past weekend I had friends over and a few open cans of beer/white claw got knocked over. I put the S1 on the lowest suction (to prevent any liquid from getting sucked into the dustbin, worked great) and it cleaned up all of the spilled drinks perfectly with zero stickiness on the floors. I seriously love this thing.
r/RobotVacuums • Roller-Mop Robot Vacuums? Or mop-only? ->Since you only have hardwood floors, I’d recommend the Eufy S1 Pro. It mops significantly better than any other robovacs since it has a rolling mop that’s constantly cleaned while it runs, with dirty water/debris being squeegeed off into its onboard dirty water tank. With little ones around I assume you deal with a lot of spills and other small messes that get on your floors, so it’s worth mentioning that the S1 is also the only currently available bot that can clean up entire spills while leaving nothing behind. I had mine clean up eggshells and egg whites/yolk a few days ago—handled it with no problem and cleaned it all up perfectly. It also has excellent obstacle avoidance, so no pre-cleaning is required. For your most important floor I can’t think of a better option. For your other floors though, I’d suggest the Eufy X10 Pro Omni. It’s fairly priced at $799 and can often be found with discounted pricing. It also has extremely good obstacle avoidance and very good vacuuming and mopping performance. It’s also got a built in detangler so it should handle your dog hair fine. If you don’t need mopping on all your floors, something even cheaper like the Eufy L60 ($279) would be a good option since it also has a blade on the base to remove tangled hair. No obstacle avoidance though. Alternatively, there’s also the Dreame L10S Ultra which is similar to the X10 in features, obstacle avoidance and performance, but can often be found for a little cheaper. At the moment it’s $659 from Dreame. That would be another good option for your other floors. Hope this helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum/mop for me?! ->I’ve only had one Eufy and that’s the S1 Pro, which I received a couple weeks ago. So far mapping has been excellent and it fixes a major pain point I had with my Roborock Q Revo’s mapping: if you’re in it’s way, it will return to that spot later on and clean it once you’ve moved. With the Q Revo (or any Roborock) if it saw you standing in an area it needed to clean, it would just avoid you/the spot you’re in and never go back to that spot unless you started a new cleaning run. So yeah, the mapping/navigation (on the S1 at least) is top notch. Honestly, the mopping performance of the S1 Pro is so impressive that if you care about having truly clean floors, I’d highly recommend saving up for it. It’s expensive, but the results are amazing. I love walking around barefoot, and there isn’t even a hint of dirt or grime left on the floors. They are completely spotless. My Q Revo never made the floors feel this clean, even when it mopped/vacuumed twice daily vs. the S1’s once daily. It’s just that good.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum/mop for me?! ->Roller mops, as on the S1 Pro, wipe the floor with the competition.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot Vacuum+mob cleaning should i buy for house mix with carpet and vinyl flooring, i need good obstacle avoidance too, which is the best for the price given ->i just picked up the S1 on sale, my only other pick would have been the narwhal Flow but it wont be out for quite a while. Im loving the S1 Pro!
r/RobotVacuums • So, with more and more roller/belt robot vacuums coming out, how likely are you to stick with the Eufy S1 Pro? ->I have the S1 Pro. It would do a much better job then the X40 regarding mopping and have navigation that's at least as good. But the X40 as a massive edge in corner cleaning and vacuuming on carpet.
r/Dreame_Tech • X40 Ultra - My experience as a first time buyer of a RoboVac ->I just returned my S1 and got the mova P10 ultra pro. While I prefer a roller mop AND my thought was the extendo-arm for the sweeper and mop were not needed, they really work. Additionally having the built in camera is great for my situation.
r/RobotVacuums • From Eufy S1 Pro to…? Looking for a robot that goes the extra mile to clean corners and skirting boards ->I own the Eufy S1 Pro. I bought that to replace the Roomba j9. This robot is a step function increase over prior gens in terms of mapping and navigation fidelity. Totally nonlinear. Sometimes the fan kicks on and I wonder why it’s vacuuming, but I think the vacuum fan is the same fan that cools the onboard Nvidia GPU (it’s quiet, think computer fan). It doesn’t have small obstacle avoidance yet (planned for next year I guess). It swallowed a cat toy and I was curious what it was going to do, it backed up, popped open its little lid and regurgitated it out. My wife and I anthropomorphize it. It is smart. Other robots are millions of if statements and this is a big matrix vector product. If statements cover edge cases though. Edit: see this comment below for a more accurate look: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/oYqCUqUYaw
r/RobotVacuums • Got the Matic robot vacuum. AMA ->Just A Dad (my favorite unbiased reviewer) recently made a video on a third party plumbing attachment for the Eufy S1 Pro: [https://youtu.be/RjohxGPkyK0?si=cowGhQQtdixsMZa\_](https://youtu.be/RjohxGPkyK0?si=cowGhQQtdixsMZa_) The S1 Pro is great at mopping and obstacle avoidance. Eufy claims tangle resistance but it's not tangle proof compared to alternatives. However, it doesn't do edge/corner cleaning and it's slim but not quite that slim. Also, the S1 Pro is perhaps the weakest at vacuuming in its price range. The Dreame X50 Master would be a good fit, except spinning mops. Unfortunately, it has not been released yet. The Dreame X50 Ultra has been released, which is exactly 3.5 inches, tangle proof, great obstacle avoidance, great edge/corner cleaning, but again standard mopping and no plumbing. Although, there is a water supply and drainage kit for the previous generation X40, so maybe the regular X50 Ultra will be supported in the future. (Also, those 3 in the picture are not the only kits available as there's the Dreame X40 Master. Spinning mops and very tall though.) There's also the Roborock Qrevo Slim, which hits all the same requirements as the X50 Ultra, while being even slimmer at 3.2 inches. Again, no rolling mop. Obstacle avoidance should be good but slightly worse than the others. I believe there are already kits available on Aliexpress for plumbing the Qrevo. Honestly the E28 is as good as any of these choices. Probably the cheapest too. Just tall and no plumbing. Extendable side brush but not mop. Or, you could reconsider how much you really need all these features. The Mova P10 Pro Ultra (not to be confused with the Mova P10 Ultra) is one of the best deals in robot vacuuming right now. It's a rebranded Dreame product, nearly identical while being much cheaper. No plumbing of course, it uses spinning mops, and it's very tall. However, it's great at everything else, especially edge cleaning, and can be upgraded to a tangle proof brush roller. Appears to be permanently on sale for $500. Just A Dad reviewed and approved its value as well. [https://us.mova.tech/products/p10-pro-ultra-robot-vacuum](https://us.mova.tech/products/p10-pro-ultra-robot-vacuum) Unfortunately, warranty/customer service is going to be very inconsistent in this market. Roborock might be the most reliable since it's the more "premium" brand, but I wouldn't bet on it.
r/RobotVacuums • Are these the only ones that are available to be connected to your plumbing? Surely not. ->Agree 100%. Lovin my S1P.
r/RobotVacuums • After a month of analysis paralysis I found the one... MOVA P10 Pro Ultra ->Have an S1Pro, it is an OK vacuum but holy jeez it mops better than I do.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum where mopping is the priority ->I have only had mine about a week, but I 100% agree. It is working better than I had hoped. 😍
r/RobotVacuums • It's December! Time to choose the robot vacuum of 2024! ->Did you not test any Eufy's? Or do you really think all of those models are better than the S1 pro? Serious question, not trying to be sarcastic or anything.
r/RobotVacuums • Thanks r/RobotVacuums! - Major Update on the Vacuum Wars Top 20 List Changes ->I have the Eufy S1 pro and two long hair cats that are fur factories, The Eufy is well worth the money, especially if you have hardwoods.
r/RobotVacuums • The best robot vacuum for a couple with 3 long-haired cats? ->Eufy S1 pro
r/RobotVacuums • Help me choose the best robot vacuum & mop for my needs! ->In germany 950€ with Cashback 870€ advantage, best mop Performance rest also very good
r/RobotVacuums • Help me choose the best robot vacuum & mop for my needs! ->That’s what I thought until: I have an s1 pro that worked great UNTIL a firmware update end of March - now it’s a total pain and screws up daily. I’ve had to reset it entirely to the point of removing and reinstalling the app even & replacing everything on the robot to no avail, it loses its way, stops in the middle of tasks, stops in the middle of a room for no reason, can’t dock within 2 feet of its home, battery error, skip a scheduled cleaning task, on and on. As I say, it was working GREAT until the firmware update, since it’s nothing but problems daily. I hate it now. I bought it 9/2024.
r/RobotVacuums • Personal review: Just got my Eufy S1 Pro - very happy! ->I had so many issues they finally opted to have me ship it back on their label and send me a replacement. Just got the replacement today via fedex - it was a pain to rebox the old one without the original containers, and to my surprise I got a whole brand new machine - and I notice it is just a little different than mine was - the red mesh filter part of the on board dirty water filter is wider, not a skinny nook, tho so far that’s all I’ve really noticed is different other than the card of instructions is different. Mostly same info but missing the identifying list of parts - they number the items but don’t give you the corresponding list to tell you what they are! Rather odd. It just finished mapping and the last firmware update is happening now. So we shall see if this one works as well as the original prior to the firmware that freaked it out. I sure hope so.
r/RobotVacuums • Personal review: Just got my Eufy S1 Pro - very happy! ->For vacuum-only, and object avoidance isn't needed, then Roomba S9+. Carpet cleaning is leaps ahead of other brands, except Dyson, but that has other major issues. If mopping and/or object avoidance is needed, and carpet is still involved, then Roomba J9+/Combo. Carpet cleaning is close to S9+, smart scrub is fantastic at mopping up tough stuff, and it's one of only two bots that can realistically lift pad high enough to clear rugs and carpet. Other is Roborock S8 MaxV, but it falls way short on cleaning performance. For only hard floors, lots are sufficient, but for best mopping then Eufy S1 Pro.
r/RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->The only real choice for mopping is the eufy s1 pro. It cleans the mop during mopping .
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum with detergent mopping? ->After reading countless posts in this sub-reddit, we bought an Eufy S1 Pro. Our, "Bobo" is working since last Friday — and we’re already totally in love with it. From the moment we set it up, it was clear: this isn’t just another robot vacuum. It’s a quiet genius on wheels. Within minutes, it had mapped our home with eerie precision, learning every nook, every cranny, and every forgotten corner under the sofa. Watching it work feels a bit like magic — or at least like living in a slightly more futuristic version of our own home. Setting it up was a breeze. The Eufy app guided us through the process step by step — super intuitive and smooth. After connecting the robot to our Wi-Fi, the app immediately suggested a firmware update, which installed in under 5 minutes. It was reassuring to see that everything was up-to-date before the first cleaning run. From there, we could customize cleaning zones, set schedules, and even adjust suction and water levels — all with just a few taps. The mopping function is another standout feature. Instead of traditional cloth pads or oscillating elements, the S1 Pro uses a wide roller mop that spans nearly the entire width of the device. This roller applies consistent pressure (up to 1 kg) to tackle everyday dirt and even dried-on stains like coffee or ketchup with impressive efficiency. What really sets it apart is the continuous self-cleaning system: fresh water is constantly fed to the roller, while dirty water is simultaneously extracted into a separate tank. This ensures that the roller stays clean throughout the entire mopping process — so your floors are always being wiped with clean water, not just spreading dirt around. In our home, we have mostly hardwood floors and very little to no carpet, and that’s exactly where the S1 Pro truly shines. The roller mop glides smoothly across the parquet, leaving behind a spotless, evenly cleaned surface — without streaks, puddles, or missed spots. It's an ideal match for anyone with sensitive flooring who still wants that deep-clean feel every day. The suction power? Great. It picks up everything — from dust bunnies to hair — and leaves the floors looking like we just cleaned them ourselves (except we didn’t). And thanks to the auto-empty station, we barely have to think about it. It just does its job — reliably, efficiently, and without complaint. Object detection was another reason we chose the S1 Pro — and it hasn't disappointed. With two kids in the house, there’s always something on the floor: LEGO bricks, socks, toy cars, or that one lone crayon under the table. The S1 Pro handles it all with impressive care. Thanks to its advanced AI and 3D camera system, it can accurately recognize and avoid small everyday obstacles without getting stuck or dragging them around. It’s not just convenient — it’s peace of mind. We don’t have to do a pre-cleaning sweep before sending it off. It just knows what to avoid and keeps going. What we love most is how effortless it all feels. No more arguing over who’s going to vacuum, no more dragging a heavy cleaner from room to room. The Eufy S1 Pro has quietly become a part of our daily routine — and we wouldn’t want to go back. It now runs once a day, and the result is genuinely noticeable: the entire apartment just feels cleaner. There’s less dust, fewer crumbs under the table, and an overall sense of freshness we didn’t expect to achieve so easily. And if you have kids, you know the drill: sand in the hallway, muddy footprints, mashed-up bits of food under the dining table — it all adds up, every single day. But now? That "little bit of chaos" is under control. The S1 Pro takes care of it quietly and reliably, and it’s honestly hard to imagine life without it. It might sound dramatic, but it honestly feels like we’ve upgraded our quality of life with this little machine. For anyone still on the fence: do it. You won’t regret it. Buy it. https://preview.redd.it/csoq1y0ik0se1.png?width=1180&format=png&auto=webp&s=0cf90d5a9d70cea42b9d23370f67b9b39378d2cf
r/RobotVacuums • Personal review: Just got my Eufy S1 Pro - very happy! ->As I've written directly into the headline, this is just a personal review about the S1. I had an Roomba and an Ecovacs before the S1 and none of them was even close to working that smoothly than the S1. For us, it's the perfect robot and I just wanted to share my experiences.
r/RobotVacuums • Personal review: Just got my Eufy S1 Pro - very happy! ->That’s interesting as our robot is on the newest firmware and still works perfectly…
r/RobotVacuums • Personal review: Just got my Eufy S1 Pro - very happy! ->It's just a personal review about the S1. I had an Roomba and an Ecovacs before the S1 and none of them was even close to working that smoothly than the S1. Exchange of clean and dirty water sounds "bubbly" but as the base is standing far away from our living room and my office corner, that's no problem for me. Same as the dustbin emptying, which sounds like a regular vacuum indeed. Still, water and dust is working flawlessly so I'm fine with the sound.
r/RobotVacuums • Personal review: Just got my Eufy S1 Pro - very happy! ->We have an eufy S1 pro and it’s a fantastic robot. Never had any issues. As we only have wooden floors, it’s perfect.
r/RobotVacuums • What is the most reliable robot vacuum? ->Roughly a year and we really like it. As we have two kids, the obstacle avoidance is very useful for us. And the rolling mop is great. The only thing where we need to clean manually are the edges - thats the only weakness of the S1 imho.
r/RobotVacuums • What is the most reliable robot vacuum? ->I just recently bought one of these. The only reason I personally have to upgrade is even better obstacle avoidance. I don't want to have to tidy up my house at all... but with three kids <8years old I've got papers and dolls with long hair and other inconveniences that require it.
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot vacuum? ->It really depends on your home. Here's my own as an example: I've got 3 kids ages 4-7. They leave shit everywhere, I need to vacuum and mop after every meal in the dining room. All of our floors are hardwood with some large low pile rugs. For this I care less about vacuum performance, and I'm focused pretty heavily on mopping. Object detection can mean the difference between the vacuum getting stuck each night or not. As a result I didn't choose vacuum wars #1 rated vacuum. I chose the 10th or so (S1 Pro) because it fits my needs perfectly. One of the best moppers and pretty solid object avoidance. I'm not saying choose the same vacuum... I'm really just sharing my personal decision making process in case it's helpful.
r/RobotVacuums • What’s Your Top Priority When Choosing a Robot Vacuum? ->Oh yeah. I had a Roomba before this and it's just night and day difference. The critical reason for getting this is I want the dirty water collected not spread about. The obstacle avoidance isn't perfect. If there's some paper or ribbon on the floor it's gonna suck it up and get stuck. BUT lumps of clothes, blankets, action figures, most cables, etc all get avoided. It's the first robot I've been able to let clean my entire first floor laundry room and kitty litter mat included. On the weekends I have it clean my dining room after each meal because my three kids eat like monsters. It handles the moist food and melted ice cream like a champ. Once liquids start to dry the mop won't immediately scrub it out but if you're patient it'll be gone after a few cleanings. I have this so I can let it clean and the house will get cleaner and cleaner. So 100%. If you have any other specific questions I'm happy to answer!
r/RobotVacuums • What’s Your Top Priority When Choosing a Robot Vacuum? ->Oh man. I just wasn't :D so now my house is so much cleaner Lolol. Also winter and mud was a thing and it's so nice to just be like "Hey siri tell eufy to clean the entry way." And "Hey siri tell eufy to clean the dining room." TBF it looks like many of the robots are pretty great now so you really can't go wrong. I expect this year obstacle avoidance and edge to edge mopping will get improved and I may upgrade next year or the year after.
r/RobotVacuums • What’s Your Top Priority When Choosing a Robot Vacuum? ->Eufy s1 pro is doing a great job in general for us. However, it switches to vacuum mode when approaching carpet so that it cannot mop close to the door mat where we tend to kick off the dirty shoes. So that area needs a manual mopping. I tried moving the door mat but it still has memory of it being there and won’t mop. Otherwise, it’s doing a great job on both hardwood and carpet. Noise level is very reasonable. Obstacle avoidance is excellent.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum and Mop to Buy with Good Suction? ->If mopping is important to you, check the Eufy S1 pro. Noise level is not a problem and it reduces suction when not on carpet. Since it has a roller that it cleans as it goes, it’s a lot more effective than the spinning pads.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vacuum+mop with large wheels recommendations? ->Sounds a lot like the Eufy S1 pro. I have the Eufy and it does an excellent job on hardwood.
r/RobotVacuums • What are your thoughts on the Ecovacs X8 PRO OMNI showcased at CES? ->I picked up the eufy s1 pro. It was $500 off so it was best deal and felt that it was always the best mopping robot, and vacuum was still top tier, but just slightly less than other high priced robots on deep cleaning of carpets. For me, I have hardwood/tile in kitchen. Living room. Bathrooms. Office. Hallway, etc. I only have carpets in 4 bedrooms, 1 story house. About 2400 sq feet. I felt that since 70% of my footage was hard surface with 2 dogs (one a husky) the eufy would be best
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendations for a Vacuum/Mop for a Busy Household ->Two is probably overkill. Depending on your budget the Eufy s1 pro appears to be the top dog for mopping performance. But there are many budget options that are good at both vacuum and mopping.
r/RobotVacuums • Trying to buy robot vacuum(s) for parents. Don't know if this is the move.. ->That sanitized water is what ends up in the dirty water tank. I notice a huge difference in smell from my previous robot without ionization. Just my opinion. I’m in love with the s1 pro.
r/RobotVacuums • Best roller mop vacuum combo ->Eufy S1 pro in my opinion, the mopping is fantastic and the ionization of the clean water tank really works to keep the robot from smelling.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum on the Market - Need Recommendation ->Eufy s1 pro. I highly recommend the pro version because of the clean water tank ionizer. It really keeps the robot from smelling musty.
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendations for vac/mop for LVP flooring? ->I personally was not happy with the robots that have the two spinning pads for mopping, I ended up with a Eufy S1 pro that had a roller mop and now I am in love with the mopping. I know it is quite a bit more money than the price point you’re at, but well worth it imo.
r/RobotVacuums • Vacuum and mop combo ->I pre-ordered the Eufy S1 Pro on kickstarter for $999 with Tax and Shipping included. Honestly wanted the S8 Max but RR trade in program wouldn’t let me apply my S5 credit to the S8 max. Watched a ton of YouTube/Websites reviews on the S1 Pro and it has pretty favorable reviews. Most of them are sponsored so can’t trust them completely. But I found some reviews not totally sucking up to the sponsorship and the S1 Pro totally looks like the next big thing in Robot Mopping. On the vacuuming side, it’s pretty average and doesn’t get into corners like the new RR products. It’s a first gen product so it might have bugs/glitches but what vacuum doesn’t.
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->Dyson Vis Nav, AEG / Electrolux RX 9.2 , UBPET V10. I am testing with Certified Test dust. Dyson 360 Vis Nav vs Eufy S1 Pro vs iRobot Combo j9+ vs UBPET V10 vs Vorwerk VR7 - Carpet Test https://youtu.be/raBVxedCf_M The AEG one is not included in this video - I have some other videos up like this Is an iRobot Roomba really the best for carpet deep cleaning?! https://youtu.be/rahVXYL7e_8
r/RobotVacuums • Best NON mop robot? ->S1 Pro has the cleaning power of a regular robotvacuum. It can clean up the things you mentioned unless it's sauce spilled near the wall, which it might miss.
r/RobotVacuums • Is there a robovac that excels both in vacuuming and mopping? ->And S1 Pro is expected to drop in price further. If it can be bought for $999, that would be a fantastic deal.
r/RobotVacuums • Is there a robovac that excels both in vacuuming and mopping? ->I understand there are a lot of posts out there covering my situation of looking for the best robot vacuum / mop, but most of them recommend Eufy S1 Pro and my experience with it has been horrible due to its shitty vacuuming abilities. Most of my home is hardwood with some low pile carpet under dining table etc..but it does a very poor job vacuuming my short-hair pets hair & leaves a lot of them on the floor. So i’m looking for different recommendations for vacuum / mop that can actually remove all pet hair properly, and then mop well too. I’d say proper vacuuming is a bit more important to me than mopping. As long as the mop can remove impressions of my dog’s muddy paws, i’ll be happy.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum & mop combo for pets (not eufy S1pro) ->What i mentioned above - shitty in terms of removing pet hair. No other complaints. So if you dont have pets, you’ll probably be okay :)
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum & mop combo for pets (not eufy S1pro) ->Mine is doing a good job on the carpet. Its actually sucking at removing pethair from the hardwood. Like i have the laser dyson as well & i don’t even need to use that to see the pet hair on the floor. Its pretty visible. And not just 1-2 hairs…a good bunch of short pet hair. I checked the filter as well & its in a good condition, but i cleaned it anyways & re-ran the cycle, and still - same results! Lots of pet hair left behind :|
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum & mop combo for pets (not eufy S1pro) ->There is nothing better than the Eufy S1 Pro for Tile and Hardwood. I don't have Stone Flooring so i can't comment on that. All(and i don't care what anybody says) other Style RoboVac just push dirt around and with your Style Flooring which is similar to mine, uneven, grooves etc... Watch some Vids on YouTube Vacuum is ok, not the best but not the worst depends how high and soft the carpet is.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot for scrubbing stone floor ->Roborock and dreame are very reliable with rather stable software and consistent obstacle avoidance. It’s been reported by wirecutter that the roborock app is somewhat easy to use. You could also set the robot up on your phone and share the robot with them. No international model of any robot vacuum to my knowledge is not very friendly to those who are not very technologically savvy. There are mainland models where it has voice assistants with LLM models running on the edge (onboard the robot vacuum) and can support recognizing gestures so the robot knows where to clean. It’s also important to think of the need to maintain the robot vacuum and its base station. Even the ones that have a self cleaning base tray will still have to be cleaned out once in a while. The filter will also have to cleaned once every few cleanups too but you can mitigate the need to do this by adding any air conditioner pre filter sheet in front of it. The dust box and filter will also have to be washed and dried once every two weeks to a month depending on use. The robot itself should have a deep clean of its reachable compartments once a month or every two months depending on use. If you’re considering those with stations: The Eufy S1 Pro may be better for those with bad backs or knees as the elongated base station means there is less need to bend down to refill the water tanks. However, there’ll still be a need to somewhat frequently clear the brush of any tangles if the household has long hair or pets. Dreame and Roborock’s base stations are shorter so one will have to bend down or squat down a bit to take out or put in the water tanks. Alternatively if your parents’ house allows, you can consider installing a direct drainage system in the robot vacuum. However, you’ll have to buy the official drainage set from either the brand itself (very expensive) or from AliExpress (cheaper and is the same).
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum has the most robust software? ->Dreame and Narwal Freo Z Ultra are best at avoiding pet “gifts” meant only for you to enjoy. I think the best protection is offense by the robot to avoid any gifts so you’d never have to deal with an interesting new aroma wafting through the air. The Eufy S1 Pro is also good at this too but it seems this is their first model with a camera that can achieve this sort of pet gift avoidance as I haven’t seen their X10 Pro Omni model with a camera achieve this level of pet gift care.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum for pet owners ->I think the Dreame L/X40 Ultra (choose whichever is cheaper) would be a better fit for you with the TriCut brush. Best object recognition and obstacle avoidance (Narwal is similarly as good) Better vacuuming than the Narwal but not as great as the Roborock Curv (I don’t think that the price justifies its performance) The Eufy S1 pro and the Narwal Freo z are great at raw mopping performance but the Eufy can’t deal with hair well and it seems vacuuming is a bit of an issue. Dreame’s eh raw mopping is compensated by its onboard CleanGenius to help it decide whether to go over areas.
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendations for a Vacuum/Mop for a Busy Household ->Generally: Dreame will have the best edge cleaning. This is on the x30 ultra and newer with the L/X40 ultra and newer models having an extendable side brush with the best extension algorithm right now. Mop extension lacks a spring which means it can ride up on quarter round floor moldings if your home has any. Roborock Saros 10R and the QRevo Edge/Curv are nice choices if there are no cables or pet accidents for it to eat. Narwal is a very solid option. The Freo Z ultra has the best smart cleaning mode. It’s okay taking care of things like hair and visible dust but still isn’t as good as vacuuming as it is at mopping. Eufy s1 pro is a very solid mopping option. Won’t edge clean as well as the above models but mops pretty well.
r/RobotVacuums • Best mop vacuum in the market for hardwood ->For CES 2025, I’d wait for the MOVA Z50 Ultra, Z50 Pro Ultra, and the Narwal Flow. Right now, the Eufy s1 pro is the best option for uneven floors.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum/mop robot for rough texture tiles hardfloors ? ->You can also consider Dreame’s X40 Ultra or the cheaper L40 Ultra if your household has long hair. Dreame released the extending side brush and extending right mop first and roborock copied them. A Dreame model with double anti-tangling conical brushes and their enhanced mop cleaning system that works like a dishwasher is likely to be announced for next year. Both Dreame and roborock are the most reliable brands. iRobot used to be as well but their app quality and consumer experience has been declining so I’ve excluded them. If you have only hardwood floors, you can consider the Eufy S1 Pro as its roll mopping is inherently better than those spinning mops. I have doubts about the ozone generator and the chance that the water tank may leak ozone into the air. It’s not good at edge cleaning and the only robot that can clean the edge is only available in mainland china and is miles better than the Eufy S1 Pro. You can consider the Narwal Freo Z Ultra if you’re okay with having to clean the base’s mop tray more and see it twerk.
r/RobotVacuums • Best state of the art Robot vacuum with mop (looking for real-life reviews)? ->MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is the best US budget choice for primarily hard floors at 659 USD. MOVA is a dreame sub brand so they share the same things but MOVA does it at a cheaper price point the same way there would be a big designer brand (dreame) and the “cheaper” budget designer subbrand (MOVA). The P10 Pro Ultra is the Dreame L40 Ultra without the mop removal function but with a larger battery. Eufy S1 Pro is good as long as it’s mainly hard floors and not a lot of hair or fur being shed as it has no inbuilt antitangle function.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vaccum and mop ->The eufy S1 Pro, Narwal flow, and the MOVA Z60 Ultra/Z50 Ultra are much better at wet messes. Ecovacs has been known to suffer from a lot of issues (check Jamie Andrews’ videos about it).
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum ->Eufy s1 pro can also be considered but it really depends on the poster’s home environment.
r/RobotVacuums • Vacuums that are actually good at obstacle avoidance (lots of kids toys) ->You are too kind\~ :) The Eufy S1 Pro and the Narwal Freo Z Ultra were considered but weren't recommended as these models are better at mopping than they are at vacuuming and it seems the poster prioritizes vacuuming more.
r/RobotVacuums • Vacuums that are actually good at obstacle avoidance (lots of kids toys) ->For Eufy, I'd say only the S1 Pro is really good at obstacle avoidance. Eufy's strengths are its customer service and the good mopping in this model. It could be better for vacuuming. For Narwal, I'd say only the Freo Z Ultra is really good at obstacle avoidance. Vacuuming is a weak spot for Narwal as they focus more on mopping. For Dreame, the L/X40 Ultra would be the best at obstacle avoidance, with the X30 Ultra following it. Dreame is also a good all-rounder in cleaning but lags behind Roborock. Dreame excels with edge and corner cleaning. These three brands' models should be the leaders in obstacle avoidance.
r/Roborock • Qrevo Master/Pro obstacle avoidance is extremely sub par ->Currently, the Eufy S1 Pro and the Narwal Freo Z Ultra's mopping performance is closest to that of a regular mop and bucket. Of course, it cannot replace manual mopping with a vacuum mop machine or a good spin mop, but it reduces the frequency of having to do so. The same goes for vacuuming. If you expect it to take care of fur + cat litter on the floor, it'll work just fine. New models, such as the MOVA Z50 Ultra and the Narwal Flow, which have a much better track-type roller mop and much better mopping, are being launched this year in the US, afaik. What do you mean by easy and minimal management of the robot? Please explain more about what you expect from your little helper so we can better understand <3 Please do share your purchasing region (usually country), your expected budget in your local currency, and your home environment\~ **Your home environment** (copied and pasted): Flooring and care requirements, if any. Is long hair and/or pet fur frequently shed at home? Do you have any pets? If so, do your pets make messes that can be cleaned up by a robot (drool, fur balls) and/or do they make messes that cannot be cleaned up by a robot (vomit/feces/pee)? Does your pet have sensitive skin? If your pet uses a litter box, do they frequently spill the litter outside the box? How much do you value privacy? Would you be okay with the robot having its own RGB camera and LED light moving around or a robot without this and only laser distance sensors (LDS) and ultrasound sensors? There is generally a trade-off between object recognition and privacy. For mopping Do you live in a region of hard or soft water? Are you planning to connect this model to a water line? For places with hard water, please appropriately treat your water before it enters the base station’s pipes\~
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum to get: Dyson or Karcher or Roborock? ->Roborock isn’t as good as other brands when it comes to poop avoidance. Dreame, Eufy S1 pro, and Narwal are much better at this. MOVA is a subbrand of dreame. Narwhal Freo Z ultra Narwal flow should be better for carpets though but the lack of any hair tangle measures on the mop is an issue considering how the MOVA Z50 Ultra which mops great and works great with long hair with similar poop avoidance performance has combs to help with hair tangles on the mop. Eufy also doesn’t have very good carpet cleaning and as good edge cleaning compared to the previous two An all rounder should be the dreame X50 Ultra for fur compression if there are heavy shedders or the dreame x40 ultra/ MOVA P10 Pro Ultra if the main issue is mainly just long hair.
r/RobotVacuums • Vac+Mop-Poop ->Roller mops but not all roller mops are made the same. MOVA Z50 Ultra > Eufy S1 Pro > ecovacs X8 and any of its equivalent models > switchbot No data on ecovacs X9, Narwal Flow, and other niche robots.
r/RobotVacuums • Curious about mop tech. Is vibrating or rolling mop better? ->Amazon did not take over iRobot. As for brands from South Korea and Germany, they’re not as good compared to those from Chinese brands especially when considering the price. Samsung does well when it comes to obstacle avoidance with their AI enabled RGB camera models but is lacking in other aspects. Miele’s robot is pretty cute and seems to clean well but it is rather old compared to new models. No idea about obstacle avoidance. App does lack features that are commonplace now. There is an American startup called Matic that makes a robot vacuum mop combo. You could ask u/matic_Mehul about this. It’s very promising. For Chinese brands: Dreame, Eufy, Narwal, MOVA (dreame subbrand), Roborock, and Xiaomi are all pretty good brands. Both have their own strengths. Eufy and Xiaomi seem to have rather consistent customer service quality. Xiaomi wins for cost effectiveness and quality. Unfortunately, they’re not selling a lot of their models in the US. Narwal is best at computer vision and obstacle avoidance for its camera enabled models allowing it to have the smartest “smart cleaning” mode. Dreame/MOVA with their camera enabled models from those that use both an IR and RGB camera and Eufy’s S1 Pro are second when it comes to obstacle avoidance. Roborock and dreame are good all rounders for both vacuuming and mopping. Dreame wins when it comes to edge and corner cleaning as it has a better algorithm. Roborock is better when extending its mop for quarter rounded floor moldings whereas dreame ones seem to ride up on there. Roborock has the easiest app UI to use.
r/RobotVacuums • Should I buy Chinese? ->For the floor with *just hard floors*, get the Eufy S1 Pro. For the floor with a decent amount of rugs, the MOVA P50 Pro Ultra (899) is essentially a souped up X40 Ultra!!!
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum and mop combo during president's day sale ->For obstacle avoidance: Eufy S1 Pro, dreame models from X30 and their subbrand MOVA P10 Pro ultra, and Narwal Freo Z + any camera enabled models to be released For mop cleaning: Eufy s1 pro or Narwal models with spinning pads
r/RobotVacuums • Not loving Roborock Qrevo Pro OR Eufy X10 Pro Omni… ->After daily vacuuming then mopping, my hardwood floors became notably softer and had a shine. I’d recommend robots with roller mops or spinning mops. For roller mop robots, I’d recommend the eufy S1 (Pro), eufy E25/E28, MOVA Z50 Ultra, and the Narwal Flow. All of these robots except for the eufy E25/E28 will have good obstacle avoidance. For spinning mop robots, I’d recommend dreame/MOVA robots with the AceClean/jetspray dryboard, the Narwal Freo line with an all in one base station, the roborock qrevo line. If obstacle avoidance is important, I’d consider the Dreame L40S Pro Ultra, L/X50 Ultra and the Narwal Z/Z10 Ultra.
r/HardWoodFloors • Robot Vacuum Mopping Hardwood? ->I think the Narwal Freo Z Ultra is the “smartest” of them all for smart cleaning but won’t do so well for vacuuming as mopping is its key strength. The Matic seems to be rather smart too but it is US-only. Object avoidance: Dreame, eufy S1 Pro, and the Narwal Freo Z ultra will do the best. Narwal’s binocular RGB cameras mean it avoids them smoothly. Dreame’s own binocular RGB cameras on the Aqua 10 pro track show similar smoothness when avoiding obstacles. Hair and fur: Dreame and MOVA’s duostream brushes, eufy E25/E28 DuoDivide dupe brushes, roborock DuoDivide brushes, Narwal’s conical brush, > dreame TriCut brush
r/RobotVacuums • Best High-End Robot? ->Don't miss out on the Eufy S1 Pro! That roller mop is light years ahead of the spinny mops. Adding in the auto plumb system makes it basically hands free.
r/RobotVacuums • Robots with Water and Drain Lines ->My S1 pro sorta does what you are saying. The E28 does a pretty good boxing around the carpets and you can have it vacuum the carpets first as it knows where they are. Definitely an improvement on the S1 Pro and probably better then the roborocks.
r/RobotVacuums • Two weeks with the Eufy E28 ->Right on! I also have 2 S1 Pros and 1 S1. Very similar mopping and I think the AI based navigation does a better job with edge cleaning on the S1/E28 compared to S1 Pro. Your metal filter handles will rust if you have used harsh chemicals in cleaning. They are also supposed to be replaced. You should reach out to support and request replacements due to the rusting. Eufy is normally pretty fair and nice with these replacements.
r/RobotVacuums • Two weeks with the Eufy E28 ->We got our S1 pro last week. Our main floor is mostly hardwood and we mop it 1-2 times a day. Our first time letting the S1 pro go do a mopping run resulted in a dirty water tank that was absolutely filthy from cleaning floors that would be considered “very clean” by most people.
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->The vacuuming seems to work pretty well, I don’t have anything good to compare against though, and I only have short pile rugs. But it seems to pick up everything. I have a second one that I bought for our upstairs that is mainly carpet, but I haven’t set it up yet. I’ll let you know how it does with that once I get around to getting it setup. The app is great, simple, yet does everything I need it to and more. Very responsive and well done. The biggest negative reviews I’d seen about the vacuum were the sound levels when it was cleaning itself at the dock. My experience on that front has been that it’s semi loud for about 5 second when it empties its dust bin (probably about as loud as running your garbage disposal), but other than those 5 seconds it’s extremely quiet for everything else. The self cleaning cycles (washing, drying, etc…) are quiet enough that I wasn’t even sure it was doing anything until I went and put my ear within a couple feet and listened. Then I could barely hear some slight whirring sounds. (Virtually silent). The style of the robot and dock is really cool too! It looks very stylish and doesn’t feel like something you need to hide away in a corner.
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->It gets pretty close to things. It does a first pass where it gets sort of close to everything and cleans the interior portion of a room, then it does a last pass where it carefully goes around the outside edge of the room and gets as close as it can get. It doesn’t have any special swing out arms though, so it doesn’t quite hit the edge with the mop. I’d say it stays about an inch away from the edge with its mop.
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->All MaxV models, plus Qrevo Master which is an exception to the naming conventions. The camera isn't just for better obstacle avoidance. It can be used to transmit live video feed to the mobile app. The newer models can do AI based object identification. Although I highly doubt this will result in better cleaning performance. Agreed on the Eufy. If poop avoidance is a must, the Eufy S1 Pro is probably the recommendation. Dreame could be an alternative. Roborock is not on par with these.
r/Roborock • Best obstacle avoidance ->Yeah like their s1 pro model. But doesn't heat the water when it washes the pads.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy is the king of the market right now ->would be a deal breaker for me after already having hot water washing on the one I have.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy is the king of the market right now ->eufy s1 pro when it's on sale, eufy e28 if you need a spot cleaner, eufy e25 if you only need smth great to mop your place.
r/RobotVacuums • Robovaccum + mop suggestion ->I know you don’t wanna hear more about the S1 pro, but I also have pets and a long-haired wife with hardwood floors and I walked behind the robot vacuum with the Dyson’s green laser (highlights hair and dust) and barely saw any hair left behind after its passing. I didn’t test that on carpets since I barely have any on the main floor. A clogged filter could significantly impact suction, just saying.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum & mop combo for pets (not eufy S1pro) ->Second that, or wait several months for the new robots with rolling mops. I wouldn’t buy anything with spinning mops
r/RobotVacuums • Best high end robot vacuum to buy RN ->Snagged the Eufy S1 pro for $700 using their discounted gift cards 😊 Can’t wait to finally have clean floors
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody looking to buy Black Friday? ->You won’t find good obstacle avoidance at that budget. You’ll need a flagship robot to do so and those are expensive. I have the Eufy S1 , it never gets stuck.
r/RobotVacuums • Do any robot vacuums actually avoid/not get stuck by clutter? ->Pro
r/RobotVacuums • Do any robot vacuums actually avoid/not get stuck by clutter? ->All high end robot vacuums now have auto-return from charging so they will clean any space as long as it’s accessible. I would go with ones that have bigger batteries just to be more efficient with your large house, then depends on your floor types. If most of your floors are hard then Eufy S1 pro for best mopping and care free obstacle avoidance, if you have a mix of carpets and hard floors then Roborock Curv. Don’t get the Narwal, it doesn’t have an onboard water tank so it goes through a lot of water from the base, with big surface areas you’ll need to refill the water mid-clean and also returning to base frequently to clean the mop will lose battery faster given ur bigger space/house.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a Robot Vacuum with mop for Large house. ->So I got the s1 pro a week ago. First robot vac. House is me, my wife with long black hair, a golden retriever and a short haired dog. The floor where I run it is mostly hardwood , about 1700 sqft with 3-4 low to medium pile rugs. My first impressions are: the hardwood floor performance is amazing and the mop is incredible. I walk barefoot in the house now because it’s so clean. On carpets it’s not as good. As an anecdotal example. I used my upright vacuum today (exactly 1 week from when I got the robo vac). Every carpet has been cleaned once a day with the robo vac. When I vacuumed the carpets today I would say there was maybe 1/4 to 1/5 the hair that is normally on the rug when I vacuumed everyday with the upright. So is it perfect on carpets? No, but still good for everyday vacuuming. The base station, the app and the obstacle avoidance has been great. No issues at all. It goes under almost all my furniture, dressers and beds which is really nice. The last con is the corner cleaning. It has no extendable mop or side brush so it can’t get the corners. I’ve heard good things about the customer support but haven’t had to use it yet so can’t speak to that. All in all I really like it. I wasn’t sure if I would so I’m currently renting it from Eufy for a monthly fee. I’ll either keep doing that until the s2 comes out (def want to keep the rollermop) or until something like the narwal flow comes out that has the rollermop and the corner capability. If you have anymore questions about it, let me know and I’ll try to answer them. Hope this helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Help me choose the best robot vacuum & mop for my needs! ->I second the S1 pro. I have one and it’s been working great. With kids and dogs you’ll need to do weekly maintenance (clean out the brushes and dirty water tank. But it’s low enough to get under a lot of funiture. Ultimately with dogs and and kids I would 100% recommend a roller mop because they clean the mop as they go. The spinning mops trap the dirt and then smear it until they can clean them at the base station. As my wife says “our kids play on that floor, it better be clean” and with 2 dogs over 65lbs (one being a golden retriever) in a wetter climate, the roller mop has been a god send. My wife even walks barefoot in the mornings now (she has always worn inside shoes while inside) because the S1 pro leaves our floors so clean when it runs every night when we’re in bed. The biggest cons with it for me are no real edge cleaning (no extending mop or side brushes) and meh carpet preformance. I still vacuum the rugs with an upright twice a month and it picks up less hair than I would get from vacuuming the rugs daily so even “meh” is pretty good.
r/RobotVacuums • [Help] What robot vacuum to pick from bestbuy.com under $800? Coming from the Roomba 405 ->The app is good from what I’ve seen. Only had the S1 pro so can’t compare first hand but from what I hear other apps (roborock, dreame, narwal maybe) have more depth to their apps. More options and customization, but the Eufy app has all the basics. I personally would like more customization and options but I’m sure not everyone feels that way.
r/RobotVacuums • [Help] What robot vacuum to pick from bestbuy.com under $800? Coming from the Roomba 405 ->What’s your floor type and budget? I’m using the s1 pro right now and love it for the mooping but the hair and edge cleaning is lacking. Personally I’m waiting for a roller mop that has all the features it should like extending side brush and roller mop/ wet spill detection and good anti tangling. Yeedi and ecovacs have some but their app and obstacle avoidance isn’t the best. I’m personally waiting for something like the narwal flow, mova z60 (I believe that one has a roller) or a dreame or roborock equivalent. Having dogs that track stuff in the rollermop was a must and has not disappointed.
r/RobotVacuums • best vacuum for mopping + pets with lots of hair? ->Same boat, the flow is getting panned across the board which sucks because that’s what I wanted. There was a survey that got floated around the eufy discord about the s2 and it looked great. I wouldn’t expect it until probably late this year or early next year at the earliest. Possibly longer. As there isn’t really any news on it so it’s probably still in design. Since a robo vac isn’t out with all the stuff I wanted I’m currently renting the s1 pro from eufy and I really like it. It’s not the most cost effective strategy but it makes it easier to wait if needed lol.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy “S2” rumors? ->😢 that’s the one I have and I love it, but no edge cleaning and the anti tangle isn’t the best. I have to clean it weekly. To detangle and clean the dirty water tank. Don’t think it’s what you’re looking for.
r/RobotVacuums • Need help choosing the best robot vacuum for my husky and limited mobility ->Roller mop > spinning mop > vibrating mop. Vibrating mops lack edge cleaning and usually can’t hold as much dirt. Spinning pads can clean edges well, but they clean by spinning and trapping dirt then going back to the base station to clean the dirt before going back out and trapping more dirt. Roller mops have a clean and dirty water tank and is continually adding clean water water and scrapping off dirty water into the dirty water tank. They are hands down the best for mopping but are still newer and there are less models available currently with more coming. As for rollermop suggestions, the Eufy S1 pro is great. The E28/25 is now out though and has the same rollermop design but better edge cleansing. Narwal and Mova are releasing new ones this year with the Flow supposedly coming out in June. For 1k i would stay away from ecovacs and Yeedi. Too many issues with hardware and software with iffy support. You can do better for 1k. This is a personal opinion bur 1k for a vibra mop should be illegal lol.
r/RobotVacuums • Curious about mop tech. Is vibrating or rolling mop better? ->Better spot cleaning. There has to be a better way for me to have the robot clean a certain spill/ or mess without going into the app and making a square manually lol. Also a track mop in a robot as short as the saros 10/10R. I would spend an obscene amount of money for something like that lol. Also better mopping. It’s great now with the s1 pro (and if the aqua 10 pro lives up to the hype I’ll get that and that should be awesome). But with dogs I always want better at dried on spots.
r/Dreame_Tech • What’s one thing you wish your robot vacuum could do better? ->We just got a Eufy S1 Pro. Unlike the Eufy X10 that we had before, it has a roller mop that's actually capable of soaking up wet messes. I poured a big puddle of tomato sauce on the floor to test it out, and it just sucked it all up. Also seems to be better at avoiding objects that could jam the brushes. According to reviews I watched before purchasing, it's pretty much the best on the market for hard floors (we also have no carpet in our house). Our floors are consistently very clean, and we have three sloppy kids plus two dogs that shed a lot.
r/Parenting • Do you trust a robot vacuum with your kids' mess? ->Considering your house is mostly hard floors, the s1 pro is a good choice however it struggles if you have carpet. If you have a mix of carpet and hard floors, I recommend the Dreame X40/L40 as it has significantly better carpet performance and edge cleaning due to the extending side brush. While the S1 pro has very impressive mopping, running a spinning mop style robot on a schedule will keep your floors as clean but one large benefit of the roller mops design in the S1 pro is that it is less likely to trap debris and scratch your floors.
r/RobotVacuums • high-end vacuum mop combo robot? ->Skip Roborock if you want good obstacle avoidance. Their robots are mediocre at it compared to Dreame and the S1 pro. Get the Mova P10 pro ultra, it's basically a Dreame x40 with a smaller battery and missing the ability to leave the mop pads at the base station. It's obstacle avoidance is just as good and it's $679 on Amazon right now. I have two Dreame X40s, great vacuums, never get stuck on obstacles or eat cords/cat toys. Cleans my house well and does a good job getting embedded dust out of my carpets and debris off my hard floors. The Mova P10 pro ultra is basically going to be the same but at a much lower price (Mova is a sister/subbrand of Dreame) I had a QRevo slim and it was horrible at obstacle avoidance. Cleaned as well as the Dreame X40 but it would eat cords and socks and felt like the obstacle avoidance is useless. I bought the slim since it supposedly has the best obstacle avoidance of the Roborocks but it just isn't consistent or reliable to trust running it on a schedule. I want a robovac that I can run on a schedule without having to prep my home. The S1 pro is a good robot if you have hard floors only, but it's vacuum performance is bad compared to the Dreame and roborock. Most of the debris will be picked up by the spinning mop and end up in the mop filter and not the dust bin. It also lags bending on carpet performance versus Dreame and roborock and doesn't have an extending side brush.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot Vacuum+mob cleaning should i buy for house mix with carpet and vinyl flooring, i need good obstacle avoidance too, which is the best for the price given ->Dreame l10S or l20 if you are trying to save money Dreame x30 if you have a little more money to spend Dreame X40/L40 if you want the best. If you only have hardfloors, the Eufy S1 pro I also like the QRevo Slim if you want something from Roborock but I am disappointed with its Object avoidance capabilities when compared to Dreame and Eufy. Roborock in general is quite trash at obstacle avoidance and it makes it hard for me to trust their vacuums to run on a schedule without having to babysit them but their hardware is solid and reliable. Skip the Eufy x10 that so many shills like. It's got a lot of features that look good but in reality they aren't very well implemented. I had two of them and Eufy partially refunded me for both of them due to my experience with them. Good customer support, but a bad vacuum design that struggles to pick up anything on hardfloors. For the same money I would get a Dreame l10S or L20 instead. I posted my full review here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/AVD9Ph2eHK
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum cleaner for a busy household? ->Eufy s1 pro Why are you changing from the X40 it's also one of the best.
r/RobotVacuums • Best mopping robot for hard floor ->Yeah it's the best robot mop on the market right now but it struggles when it comes to vacuuming compared to the competition like the Dreame X40. Also the mopping ability of the s1 pro is a bit overrated as most reviews should it mopping up huge messes which most people aren't doing on a daily basis and running a Dreame X40 or roborock Qrevo on a schedule would keep your floors just as clean but give you better vacuum performance.
r/RobotVacuums • Best mopping robot for hard floor ->I've tried both and kept the Dreame X40 for similar reasons. Roborock is just bad at obstacle avoidance. I have two x40s and they have been working great for the past 5 months other than some minor hiccups. Their regular customer support really sucks but I've had really good luck contacting one of their support reps, Russell on Whatsapp. He's helped me update my X40 and recalibrate the LDS. If you want to avoid Dreame and Roborock try the Eufy s1 pro. Since you have hard floors mostly, it would be a good choice. Eufy's customer support is better than Dreame and Roborock but their robots are a little worse when it comes to carpet performance.
r/RobotVacuums • Need a new robot vacuum- tried Dreame x40 ultra and Roborock qrevo slim ->The eufy x10 is trash at actually vacuuming debris: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/aP3N1VO5Tt The only thing it deserves an award for is best object avoidance for the money. I would say the best would be the QRevo Slim for carpet/hardwood and Dreame X40 if you only have hard floors. The eufy s1 pro is overrated and has the same suction issues as the x10. It has the best mop, but how often are you actually mopping up giant messes every day with your robot vacuum. Running a reliable robot vacuum with a spinning mop system will do as good on a schedule. The eufy vacuums also lack lots of app and smart home integration features like setting the floor grain direction, setting the location of ramps the robot can use and other smart features that roborock and Dreame have in their apps that Eufy is lacking.
r/RobotVacuums • It's December! Time to choose the robot vacuum of 2024! ->Dreame x40/L40 or Mova P10 pro ultra. Dreame/Mova have the best object avoidance on the market currently along with having top notch cleaning performance. I run my X40s daily on a schedule and they never get stuck on cords or cat toys. The QRevo slim I also ordered to compare my X40 again would basically always eat a cord, sock or cat toy when running so I couldn't trust it to run on a schedule and returned it. Roborock in general has top notch cleaning performance but horrible object avoidance and I would not recommend roborock for that reason Eufy has pretty good object avoidance, especially in the S1 pro but the common issue with Eufy's products is that they underperform when it comes to vacuum performance. They fail to pick up debris on hard floors and carpets. And perform worse than Dreame/roborock.
r/RobotVacuums • Best option for my cluttered house? ->Eufy S1 Pro. It's just amazing and has some essential features that very few other models have - making ozone in water tank (killing all bacterias, so you don't need to buy distilled water and even disinfects floors, dirty water tank doesn't smell afterwards). Rolling mop is the only moping solution I'd ever consider (no dirt pushing, always clean mop). Before I got it I was worried about long hair tangling, but it doesn't tangle at all. Much more compact base than most of other units. The only thing I'd like it to have is direct water in/out connection to house sewage, but it's really not that important due to ozone.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum and Mop to Buy with Good Suction? ->I have similar type of flooring and the Eufy S1 pro is serving me well so far.
r/RobotVacuums • What type of Vacuum + Mop for this kind of floor? ->I have tried both the eufy s1 pro with the roller mops and the saros 10r. No doubt about it the rollers work better. They left the floor very evenly wet and constantly used clean water vs just using the mop then washing etc. but, roller mops have wayyyyy more maintenance. Looked at how gross the dirty water talk onboard the eufy was after a few weeks and decided I didn’t want to have to constantly clean that. The saros 10r vacuums well and mops “good enough”’with the spinning heads.
r/RobotVacuums • HUGE difference: Spinning vs roller-style mopping results AFTER cleaning ->Just understand there is no maintenance free vacuums or mops. You can delay touching it for a couple of weeks but it will probably need at least some minor maintenance before the major clean and resupply. I think your uncle using the app and helping out would be ideal. I have no clue who offers Chinese support but most of these are made in China so there may be Chinese forums that can help out or maybe you can talk directly to the company. You didn't mention if their floors are tile, laminate, wood, or carpet as that would dictate my recommendations. But I am currently impressed with Eufy S1 Pro for superior mopping. the Eufy X10 Pro Omni for superior carpet and avoidance, and the Movo P10 Pro Ultra for good all around performance. Keep in mind I don't think any robot vac can totally replace a good plug in vac on carpet. || || ||
r/RobotVacuums • Ideal robot Vacuum for the elderly? ->Just understand there is no maintenance free vacuums or mops. r/RobotVacuums • Ideal robot Vacuum for the elderly? ->Eufy S1 Pro! Solid 10/10 at vacuuming and mopping only downside is the vacuuming on rugs lacks a little but not other robot mops as well
r/RobotVacuums • Best state of the art Robot vacuum with mop (looking for real-life reviews)? ->The Roomba S9 is an incredible vacuum and very good with lots of hair on both hardfloor and carpet. I recently swapped to a Eufy S1 Pro for the mopping as my boy drags in lots of dirt from outside. The Eufy is an incredible mop but needs to vacuum much more frequently Vs the Roomba to keep on top of the dog hair.
r/germanshepherds • Recommendations on a Robot Vacuum ->Yeah I do miss mine. It does an incredible job of getting into corners and pulling hair out of rugs and as you said the base station does very well storing/compacting the hair to get the most out of a bag. The S1 Pro isn't as good so I have to run it every day in turbo mode to stop the buildup where the S9 could handle every other day.
r/germanshepherds • Recommendations on a Robot Vacuum ->The Eufy is genuinely worth considering even if it has more maintenance. Its performance is just so good for mopping compared to the rest. Like FarConcern said, Freo Z is probably a great option here. IMO I'd avoid the Freo X, it does not seem like a great option at all. The curv is good for your needs, but you said the price difference is not worth it. Do you have a budget in mind at all?
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum when obstacles and carpets are not an issue. ->I had the Eufy S1 Pro for three weeks about 10 months ago but ended up returning it because it didn't clean the edges of the kitchen cabinets well at all as they were too low the the S1 to get to and some other corners and edges of the house. This is the only map I have left of the main floor. https://preview.redd.it/vqtk8priqc5f1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71471de937ac40d8db58e495249b4f5b416a18a5 I'm not sure how big the space is but I'd guess it's about 1500 sq. ft more or less, 99% of the house is either hardwood or tile, there are a few obstacles every now and then since I have a dog and a cat, there is a \~4 cm threshold for the bathroom at the hallway that the S1 couldn't make it without manually helping it, and what I care about the most is the robot's mopping performance and edge cleaning the the S1 Pro lacked.
r/RobotVacuums • I write about robot vacuums for a living. AMA. ->Eufy s1 pro. Godly mop and vac
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a high quality robot vacuum ->Our S1 Pro has been life changing. All hardwoods and tile, so really the best use case to get the most out of the model.
r/Appliances • What do you think are the best robot vacuums available now? Do they work better than traditional cleaning methods? ->I've used Roomba s9+, roborock s6, s7 max pro, dreame l20, and recently eufy s1 pro and can objectively say any of the lidar based bots are so much better than the roombas terrible navigation. Roombas have great carpet pick-up when they aren't roaming around aimlessly for an hour.
r/homeautomation • Does a Robot Vacuum Make a Difference? ->Roborock right now has the best mix of high end features on the flagship, and I had a very good experience with their support as well. That being said I've only had the eufys for a couple of weeks and they are also awesome especially for the slightly lowered price. Dreame has pretty terrible support so I'd steer away from them, but still a good robot. Roborock overall just because I had them for a few years and they were extremely solid, but the Eufy S1 Pro is my favorite right now and recommended for if you have mostly hard floors - mopping is incredible but the vac wouldn't be as good as Roborock if you have large carpet areas.
r/homeautomation • Does a Robot Vacuum Make a Difference? ->Do you know how it compares to the Roborock s7? I currently have that and it doesn’t have the emptying station. It does a great job vacuuming but hate having to manually change out pads and not having the self washing. I really want something with a great mop and at least the vacuuming performance of the s7. I also backed the eufy s1 pro due to the mop and its price. Just hoping the vacuuming is as good as my s7. Hoping review drops before the 30th.
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->We are proud owners of two very hairy Labradors. I’ve had two Dreame L20 ultra units in the last 12 months and both had the same issue of not emptying the collection box so it was remaining jammed full of dog hair. The second unit is now back with Dreame who have promised to replace it with a new unit (their customer support in the UK is seriously lacking. I had to fight every step of the way and it took over 3 weeks just to get a returns number from them. I personally found the rest of the unit good, but would never buy another Dreame machine because of their lack of customer support) Literally ordered the new Eufy S1 pro which has arrived today but I’ve not had time to unpack it yet. You mentioned above that you didn’t know the brand Eufy, they are a division of Anker (high quality chargers etc) so I have every confidence the build quality will be good.
r/RobotVacuums • Dog parents! What vacuum-only robot works GREAT for pet hair? ->A quick update as promised about my findings with the Eufy pro s1. Quality of build between the Dreame and this is night and day. The Eufy is built extremely well. To keep it short. Every review you watch or read about the s1 pro is right. Mopping is excellent, the vacuum needs more thought in the design department and personally I think it needs more power (maybe up to the 10k some competition has) and it would benefit from a tricut brush. Apart from that. Eufy is a keeper and we will be selling the new L20 ultra when it returns.
r/RobotVacuums • Dog parents! What vacuum-only robot works GREAT for pet hair? ->I'm wondering if your unit has a problem. I have a S1 Pro, and have not had problems with its hard floor vacuuming at all. In particular, that you can run it twice, checking the filter and dustbin in between, and still have it leave a lot behind -- that seems like you got a bad unit. That said, if you value vacuuming more than mopping, the S1 Pro is probably not the best choice even when working properly. If you're still in the return window, I recommend cutting your losses and moving to something else. If you can delay your new purchase a little, you might look at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) coverage. There are some very interesting new models coming very soon, one of which might be way better for you than what's available now.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum & mop combo for pets (not eufy S1pro) ->I find that the Vacuum Wars ranking isn't nearly as useful as the detailed reviews. The ranking treats all features equally, but if you're like me, you have specific requirements and preferences that a simple ranking won't take into account -- even without considering that the Vacuum Wars guy has biases of his own. (Not a slam; everyone has biases.) In particular, there are two things about the S1 Pro that affect its Vacuum Wars ranking: * Carpet performance. According to them, it's not as good at carpet vacuuming as many other models. * Pet features and performance. Their new pet testing seems to favor pet features such as video feeds and pet finders, which the S1 Pro doesn't have, and they also ding the S1 Pro for hair tangling. I have a S1 Pro, and I can partially concur with the details they provide, while disagreeing with the ranking, largely because my main goal with a robovac is hands-off maintenance of hard floors. I have no carpets on my first floor, and also have a non-shedding pet. To me, top-notch obstacle avoidance and mop performance are the top two requirements. In those two areas, the S1 Pro excels. Vacuum Wars ranks it #2 on their obstacle avoidance list, just a bit below the Narwal Freo Z. I have no experience with the Narwal, but I can tell you that the S1 Pro is excellent at obstacle avoidance, to the point that I am confident scheduling it to run at 2 am unattended, and have so far not regretted that decision. Mop performance, I think, deserves a more detailed look. The S1 Pro doesn't have a lot of mop features, like auto-extending mops, dirt detection, or automatic re-mopping. But what it does have is perhaps the best mop system in the entire space (with the possible exception of some newcomers like the 3i, SwitchBot, and Eureka mop roller bots recently released). Turn off all the features, and the S1 Pro will wipe the floor (ha) with all the other robots. I am amazed at just how well it performs. To my view, a superior starting point is way more important than making up for inferiority with features and smarts. And even its weaknesses have to be taken into perspective. I've been taking my bot to our entirely carpeted second floor, just to see how it would do, and it's exceeded expectations there as well. Granted, those expectations were set low due to the reviewer dings in this area. But my upstairs is a lot cleaner today than it was before getting the S1 Pro, and this is with only weekly non-scheduled jobs. It does get a few hair tangles that I have to deal with afterwards, but clearing those out isn't nearly as much work as manually vacuuming upstairs would be, which makes it an overall win in my book. Other people's book? Probably not. All of today's robovacs require compromises; which compromises are the right ones for you isn't something I can tell you (even if our use cases sounds pretty similar). All I can provide is my experience, which will hopefully tell you what you need to know to make your own decision.
r/RobotVacuums • high-end vacuum mop combo robot? ->I've had a Eufy S1 Pro since October, and am quite happy with it so far. Observations on using it: * The mop is excellent. I've used it to clean up actual spills and pet accidents (after soaking up excess liquid with paper towels in the latter case). The mop is definitely the banner feature for this robot. * It is also good at obstacle avoidance, which was important for us as we have a dog. It's only had a few incidents with cords and a small plastic bag in all the time since we've had it. * Edge vacuuming is OK. Corner vacuuming is less good; not up to what robots with extending side brushes can do, but better than a typical robot. Mopping edges leaves about a half-inch unmopped border, which you'll have to touch up manually every so often; ditto with corners. * Carpet vacuuming is OK, but not class-leading by any stretch. The brush roller should prevent actual hair tangles, but it does tend to collect hair on the axle ends (which it's designed to handle; there's space for hair to collect). You'll need to clear out the hair from the main brush and the two side brushes every so often. I don't have experience with as many pets as you have; if there were a place where you might find this robot lacking, it's here. * Maintenance of the onboard dirty water tank will take a little extra time. There's an internal screen to separate out debris from the dirty water which will need frequent cleaning. I do mine once a week, but I could probably space it out more if I wanted to. (I mop twice a week plus one-off jobs.) * The app is pretty good. No frills, but simple, and it does the main things it needs to do: mapping, scheduling, basic map editing, no-go zones and virtual walls, that sort of thing. It also has reminders for many periodic maintenance tasks. * There are directions for setting up Alexa, but I haven't tried it. There's a S1 non-Pro as well, which is a little cheaper usually. It doesn't have the ozone generator for disinfecting the water, can't be hooked up to plumbing, and uses the slightly worse navigation and obstacle avoidance from the Eufy X10. It's worth looking into whether the extra features in the Pro are worth the cost to you. Finally, I don't have direct experience with the Ecovacs or Eureka, but reviews of those two have not been great. Check out Vacuum Wars on the Eureka, and Just A Dad on the Ecovacs.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for feedback on Ecovacs deebot X8 pro omni vs Eufy S1 omni pro vs Eureka J20 robot vacuum mops ->I have a Eufy S1 Pro. It requires vacuuming while mopping, which I think is intended to help with this problem. Also, there's a mesh screen in the onboard dirty water tank that collects debris and keeps it out of the tank, which you have to clean. I do mine weekly, which seems to be enough. Edge support with roller mops is hit-or-miss. Mine doesn't have an extending roller, so I get about a half-inch of unmopped floor around the walls which I have to manually mop occasionally when I notice it getting dirty. So far, the ones with extending rollers seem to improve on the situation, but still miss things. The spinning pad robots are clearly ahead in this area for the moment. It's important to recognize that rollers are better, but not perfect. They handle tougher stains and messes, but aren't all-powerful. I still soak up excess liquid from messes before sending the robot out, and I have it mop a much larger area than just the mess, and set it to run 2X. This gives the self-cleaning system time to really get the roller clean by the second pass, and the results are spectacular when I do that.
r/RobotVacuums • Sneak Peek: Vacuum Wars Review of the Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni ->The problem with CES 2025 robots is that there are very few independent reviews of any of them right now. They're just starting to come out for the Dreame X50, for example, and while the demos at CES looked amazing and the advertised features were great, initial feedback is very mixed, to the point that I'd recommend holding off on the X50 for a little bit. There's a good chance that Dreame will work out those issues with firmware updates, as their previous robots are a lot better for these specific problem areas, but you might have a disappointing experience for a while before that happens. I will bring up the Eufy S1 Pro (which should surprise no one who follows the subreddit :-) ). There's at least one independent review which found that the Eufy does better at cleaning textured surfaces than the competition at the time; see The Hook Up's 2024 robovac review on YouTube (not the budget one). I've owned one since October, and have been happy with its performance, but be aware that carpet vacuuming and edge cleaning are not as good as other robovacs. There's a little more maintenance to do regarding the dirty water tank; I do a quick cleaning of the mesh filter and a rinse-out weekly. Plus, the auto-empty isn't as good at getting fine dust out of the HEPA filter, so I also blow that out weekly. Hair tangles are handled in a so-so manner, so I'd also factor in cleaning out the axles weekly if you have long-haired people or animals in the household. Other than that and refilling/emptying the water tanks, it's pretty hands off. The app will remind you of the other maintenance items, like replacing the roller or the dust filter, though you'll want to check the dust bag yourself to see if it's full. There's also a proprietary detergent bottle; you can run without it, but it does seem to have benefits, and the bottle lasts a long time. (I'm still on my first bottle, which is more than half full after mopping at least twice a week since I've owned it.) As to durability: there are people who bought the Eufy during the Kickstarter phase who have had no problems since, only replacing the typical wear items. There are also people who have had problems, so you might want to search Reddit to get a good idea of the distribution. Also, to the advice given by FarConcern2308, the Eufy does not have a "vacuum first, then mop" setting; it will always vacuum while mopping, though I believe the Eufy is designed to handle some liquid in the vacuum system.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum/mop robot for rough texture tiles hardfloors ? ->I own an S1 Pro. I use it mostly on LVP (hard) flooring, but also manually run it upstairs on all carpet. It's scheduled to mop twice a week and vacuum twice a week, all overnight, so I get to see the difference in performance between vac/mop and vac only. It's been close to two months now, and so far, I've been pleased with its performance. Tracked-in leaves and misc debris are gone in the morning, no matter the cleaning mode. Today, I opened something packed in styrofoam, which left those styrofoam crumbs everywhere; one room vac later, and the crumbs were gone. Vacuum performance has been satisfactory. It's not great at handling hair tangles, but otherwise seems to do the job. The upstairs carpets are noticeably cleaner now than before. This is my first robot floor cleaner, so no basis of comparison with anything else, including the X10. Not sponsored. :-) It's an anecdote, and I might just be lucky.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy X10 Review after 350+ hours ->My first question: have you read the lease carefully to ensure that the robot vacuum "advice" isn't actually part of your contract? As it is, if the robot caused any damage to your floors, the landlord could use that as justification for keeping your damage deposit when you move out. If the prohibition of robot mops is mentioned in your lease, the landlord could even sue you for damage caused to the floor. There have been reports of robot mops damaging hardwood floors, so you should be very clear in your own mind about the risk you're taking. That said, some practical advice: * It should be possible to control water flow on most modern mops. Be careful of smart mopping features, however, as they can cause the robot to go over specific areas over and over, putting a lot of water in a small space. Vacuum Wars has started measuring the amount of water left on the floor after mopping and incorporating that into their mop scores, which might be useful here. * Stone tile won't have the same problems as hardwood. If you limit robot mopping to the tile floors and keep your base station on the tile floors, you should be in much better shape risk-wise. * Speaking of the base station, if something were to go badly wrong with a water leak, it's most likely to happen there. If you can't keep the base on the stone tiles, get a waterproof pad to put under the base to catch leaks. A loud leak detector is a really good idea, wherever you put the base. If you leave the house unattended, do not schedule mopping jobs during that time, and drain the water from the robot and base. * If you ever plan to use the robot mop on the wood, stick to roller mop designs. The onboard scraper will remove debris from the roller pad as quickly as it's picked up. Be especially cautious of spinning pad mops; if they pick up a small rock, they could gouge a swirl pattern into the wood very quickly. Unfortunately, this would disqualify all the robots you mention in the mid-range category. * Most robot mops can clean with water only, either via an app setting or by just not adding detergent. I would check for this on any candidate models. I can confirm that the Eufy S1 Pro has a detergent bottle, but will mop without the bottle installed. In your shoes, I would purchase with the assumption that I would only be able to vacuum the floors, based on the landlord's directive. I don't want to be too harsh, but if I were a clean freak and had a landlord trying to dictate exactly how floors should be cleaned, I would seriously reconsider signing the lease in the first place. I've had good results with my Eufy S1 Pro on my LVP floors, so if you go for a robot mop, that might be a good choice. It's a roller mop design, and I've never observed it put excessive water on the floor even on the highest flow setting. Plus, it's often on sale for $1000. You should also consider the Eufy S1 (non-Pro), which will be a bit cheaper at the cost of some features.
r/RobotVacuums • Best starter vacuum for brand new hardwood floors ->Most robots with automatic base stations should be set-and-forget to an extent. This is easier with vacuum-only robots, as you just need an auto-empty bin. For mop robots, you want something that washes and dries the mop pads automatically. Maintenance beyond that shouldn't be required more often than weekly. For context, I typically spend about half an hour per week doing maintenance on my S1 Pro, which includes blowing out the extra dust on the HEPA filter, removing hair from the main brush, filling and emptying the base tanks, and cleaning out the debris filter on the robot's onboard dirty water tank. Occasionally, I'll need to do more work: cleaning out the base station, more thorough cleaning of the onboard dirty water tank, replacing wear parts, that sort of thing.
r/RobotVacuums • Best starter vacuum for brand new hardwood floors ->I have the Eufy and love it, but keep in mind: when you choose the S1 Pro, you're trading better mop performance for worse carpet performance. If you care more about your hard floors than your carpets, this might be a good choice. If not, steer clear. Carpet performance is "fine" in my experience; the carpets I do use it on are cleaner than they otherwise would be. But I'd say odds are good that either of the other two robots will do better.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot Vacuum+mob cleaning should i buy for house mix with carpet and vinyl flooring, i need good obstacle avoidance too, which is the best for the price given ->"Perfect" with robot vacuums is not a thing. In all cases, you have to prioritize and compromise, even with the expensive ones. So why pay the big bucks? Honestly, if you look at an expensive robot and you don't see one or more features that jump out at you as "must haves", then I don't know why you'd pay the big bucks. There are a lot of pretty good cheap robots. I own a flagship robot: the Eufy S1 Pro, which retails for $1500, and I got on sale for $1000. In my mind, there were two big features that spoke to me: really good obstacle avoidance, and the roller mop system that cleans the mop continuously. Compromises included average to poor vacuuming performance on carpet, a bit more maintenance (due to that continuous mop cleaning feature), less good edge and corner cleaning, so-so hair tangling performance, and the price. I'm quite happy with my choice; it's met my expectations for five months now. For you, this is a pretty poor match. If you spent $1000+ on this, you'd probably be pretty disappointed, especially with those tall and fluffy carpets. I don't think the S1 Pro is particularly bad as a flagship, at least from the impressions I get from reviewers and user comments. It's possible to make a similar list of pros and cons for every flagship out there, which you've already done for a few of them. So if I were you, I'd probably start with something as cheap as you can live with, and then ask yourself what that can't do that you really need. Then start looking for robots that do those things, and ask yourself if you can live with their drawbacks. Try to get into a mindset of "paying for features" rather than "paying for perfection". Since you like the Roborock Qrevo Master, I'll point you at something to use as a baseline that's more in line with the experience you've had so far: the Roborock Q5 Max+. This should give you an improved experience over your current robot at a price that's a bit higher than what you paid. The Eufy L60 SES is also worth mentioning at this level. From there, see what upgrades look like. For example, there are two directions you can go from the Eufy L60: the Eufy C20 or E20. The C20 adds mopping and automatic mop washing, while the E20 is a better implementation of the L60 idea, along with the ability to convert to a handheld cordless vacuum. Which one of those sounds better to you? Can you live with the drawbacks? Would you be frustrated spending "that much" and having to live with "those problems"? On the Roborock side, maybe the Qrevo S is a good stopping point on your way towards the Master. Or maybe you'd want to switch vendors, and move from the Q5 Max+ to the Dreame L10s Ultra, for example. Reviews can be a problem, especially since you need to weed out both the naysayers and the sponsored shills. Reputation is probably the best thing to go by. To that end, here are a few YouTube reviewers that seem to do pretty well at being fair and balanced: * Vacuum Wars * Just A Dad * Jamie Andrews * Vacuum Chef * The French Glow * The Hook Up Hope that helps. Good luck!
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a new all in one robot vacuum under 1000€ to replace my old 2021 one ->I'll first point out: make sure what you get is compatible with 240V power. You don't want to fry your new robot when you get home. I'd also echo FarConcern2308's warning about warranty issues. Multi-floor support is likely to be more about the manufacturer than the model. Dreame, Roborock, and Narwal seem to be the safe choices. Eufy can do it as well, but it's a bit more annoying to use from my experience. Shark multi-floor support is basically nonexistent. iRobot is behind in navigation generally. For mopping, there are basically two choices: the Eufy S1 Pro, and everything else. Feature-wise, the S1 Pro is a bit behind the other robots; this includes things like extending mops, AI mess detection, automatic re-mopping, and the like. But the S1 Pro has the best mop on the market, in my opinion. Most of the better mops today use two spinning circular pads on the rear of the robot, but the S1 Pro uses a roller mop along with an onboard mop cleaning system and dirty water tank. This means that the mop surface is constantly being cleaned as the robot is mopping, while the other robots can only add clean water to their pads, and have to go back to the base every so often to clean them. I've got a S1 Pro, and am really happy with its mop performance; like you, I mostly need mine for hard floors. For hair tangles, my beloved S1 Pro is unfortunately middle-of-the-road, particularly on carpets. You'll need to clear the main brush axles of accumulated hair every so often even on hard floors. Dreame seems to have the best system here, with their tricut brush that can be added on to most of their newer robots. Amazingly, a budget vacuum (the Eufy L60 with self-empty station) gets top marks here as well, although the mop performance is more in line with a budget system and not very good. It doesn't sound like object avoidance is as big a deal, but just for completeness: the high-end robots from Eufy, Narwal, and Dreame are going to be best at avoiding stuff on the floor. Anything with LIDAR should be able to steer clear of taller objects, but the Eufy S1 Pro, Dreame X40 Ultra, and Narwal Freo Z have multiple front sensors and advanced software for the smaller stuff. Roborock is a step behind, generally, although there are reports that their most recent releases have improved in this area. I'll also point out that some of the manufacturers have sub-brands that are nearly as good and often cheaper. (Or super-brands; some Roborock and Dreame models are re-sold under the Xiaomi name, though not so much in the USA.) I hope that helps. Do check out the online reviews; a few good places on YouTube are Vacuum Wars, Just A Dad, and Jamie Andrews. There are also a lot of good people here, some of whom might disagree with some of my conclusions; definitely pay attention to those differences of opinion. No one robovac can do it all just yet, so the biggest thing is prioritizing your must-haves and deciding what weaknesses you can live with. Good luck!
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vaccum and mop ->Sort of. It's more maintenance, but not "constant" (per the OP's comment). Specifically, I schedule mop jobs with mine twice a week, and have occasional ad-hoc cleanups (and also vacuum three times a week). I do the dirty water reservoir maintenance once a week; takes about 5-10 minutes, and involves cleaning the debris screen in the tank and rinsing out the tank. With this maintenance, neither dirty water tank smells, nor does the roller mop. I empty the base dirty water tank at the same time, so once a week. Edited to add: re-reading the OP, I would caution against sending any robot vacuum, even the S1 Pro, to clean a mess with lots of big wet debris, such as a plate of noodles in sauce. While the mop roller would be cleaned fine, some of the mess would adhere to the bottom of the robot or get sucked into the dustbin, and there's no cleaning routine for those parts. Check the video reviews of the S1 Pro for some mopping torture tests, and you'll get a better idea of what the robot can do and if that meets your needs.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robo Vacuum + Mop for a Messy Toddler Household? Advice Needed! ->To my knowledge, the only good strategy for dealing with cables is to avoid them. Once you run it over, you run the risk of it catching on your main brush. At that point, it will freeze the main brush, possibly damaging it, and also putting stress on your motor. In the best case, your robot will stop and alert you to the problem, which breaks your "don't want to have the baby the thing long term" requirement. That, or it will drag it behind as it keeps going, and possibly catch on something, tying your robot down. Avoidance is out there. I can think of three that are excellent: the Narwal Freo Z, the Dreame X40 Ultra, and the Eufy S1 Pro (which is the one I own). Retail prices in USD right now are $1500 for the Eufy and Narwal, and $1600 for the Dreame, which is (according to Google) between £1200-1300. With the right sale, you might get those down to about the $1000 (£800) price point, which is what I paid for my S1 Pro. The Eufy X10 is nearly as good at obstacle avoidance, and a bit cheaper: $700 on sale right now, or about £570 if you can find the equivalent sale in the UK. But reviews and user reports are mixed on its cleaning performance; some find it quite acceptable, while others have complained about poor vacuuming on hard floors. The Roomba j5+ (which you mentioned) has independent reviews that rate its obstacle avoidance as pretty good (see [here](https://vacuumwars.com/irobot-roomba-combo-j5-review/) for an example); that's not going to be as good as the robots I listed above. They have the poop guarantee, but cables are harder to avoid than pet waste. Plus, Roombas are known for having problems with navigation and their app. iRobot (the maker of Roombas) is known to be in a bit of trouble, and their technology hasn't advanced much since the early 2020s, which is a bad sign. At minimum, I think there's a good chance you'd be babysitting it a bit more than you'd like. One plus: Roombas are known to be generally excellent for their price at vacuuming, and they're pretty easy to repair if needed. Obstacle avoidance was what motivated me to mention the Eufy E20: not so much the "use it as a regular vacuum" thing (though that is a bonus if you can't get the robot to be useful), but Eufy's claims of better object avoidance at a lower price. Eufy has some credibility in that area, so it's not entirely crazy. I did mention that it's only my "you much choose" pick, largely because of the lack of independent reviews. What might be useful: here are your criteria: * cope with clutter * not wake you up * be generally hands-off and hassle-free after initial setup * cheap I don't think that robot exists yet. So, next best: what can you live without? I wouldn't stress on the "wake up" part too much, as you should be able to get something that can schedule during the day for your budget. So, can you get better at tidying? Or perhaps deal with some babysitting? Or maybe double your budget?
r/RobotVacuums • best robotvacuum for no carpet, no pets, chaotic messy people, quiet, £400 in UK ->I hear you on the value. If it makes a difference, I have a S1 Pro, and we don't have any issues with ozone leakage in the house. We also have family members with respiratory issues, who haven't noticed anything. But I get why you might not be keen on taking the risk. I see the S1 on Amazon US for $799; not sure if that's an option for you.
r/RobotVacuums • [Help] What robot vacuum to pick from bestbuy.com under $800? Coming from the Roomba 405 ->I've got a Eufy S1 Pro. My downstairs is smaller than yours (about 1000 square feet), but somewhat complex, and it navigates that well. The mop is really, really good. Its carpet performance is pretty average, and it's just OK at hair tangles. It does OK with getting debris in edges and corners, but it will leave a gap around edges and in corners when mopping. There's a regular S1 as well (not Pro), which is cheaper and running on sale. It's identical except for some features; it uses the navigation and obstacle avoidance from the X10 instead of its own enhanced version, it drops the onboard ozone generator, and you can't do the plumbing hookup with it. Everything else about the two are the same, including (most importantly) the mop.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a combo vacuum + mop for 2,500 sq ft, all hard flooring. ->I can explain why I spent $1000 on a Eufy S1 Pro back in October. There were two must-haves for me: the roller mop, and top-notch obstacle avoidance. This robot was near or at the top in both categories. Different people have different requirements. If you don't see anything about the S8 MaxV that really makes you say "I gotta have this", then it's probably not the robot for you.
r/RobotVacuums • so much to choose from ->The roller mop is a winner, in my opinion. I have a Eufy S1 Pro, and believe it to be the best mopping robot available right now, because the roller is that good. It's not necessarily the roller that's the game changer; the roller enables on-board cleaning of the mopping surface, which is where roller mops shine. A few of the new robots at CES have roller or belt mops that can do on-board cleaning. In general, I'm excited to see them, but would be skeptical until independent reviews come out that can judge the actual performance. No feature is so good that a manufacturer can't screw it up. :-) Specifically: * Edge mopping is not as good on the S1 Pro, and a few of these try to do better. But auto-extending seems to be a feature that's tricky to get right, if recent experience with side brushes and spinning mop pads are anything to go by. So I'd be nervous about trusting that the existence of an extending mop roller automatically means it's better. If they can get the feature right, it will be clearly better, but that's a big "if". * We've only seen one belt mop that I know of so far before now: the Eureka J20. Reviews are mixed, but it seems its weaknesses aren't related to the belt mop. So I think this has potential to be as good as a roller, if not better. I'm anticipating that at least one of these, maybe even the X8 Pro Omni, will end up overshadowing my beloved S1 Pro (sadly for me, because mine has really improved my life). But today, I would not recommend any of them, just because their performance is unknown in independent reviews, at least to me.
r/RobotVacuums • What are your thoughts on the Ecovacs X8 PRO OMNI showcased at CES? ->I bought a Eufy S1 Pro back in October. I had just paid a lot of money to replace my entire downstairs floor with LVP, and knew that it would be a lot harder to keep looking clean than the carpet had been. For reasons, I also had less time to spend cleaning, so I needed something to help me with that. My criteria: * Mopping was more important than vacuuming. * Since we have a dog, pet waste avoidance was a top priority. I also work in IT, and so was familiar with the ways smart tech could fail, especially smart tech delivered at least partially via the cloud. So, given a choice between great fundamentals and so-so fundamentals layered with smart tech to make up the gaps, great fundamentals would win. From there, it was a matter of research. Last fall, the Eufy S1 Pro was impressing reviewers left and right with its mopping and obstacle avoidance. That sold it for me. I was also able to get it on sale for $1000, which helped. There were a few other things. In the review videos, the S1 Pro seemed a bit more solid and reliably put together -- nothing I could tie to an objective metric, but it felt better. I noticed that a few reviewers would test a robot, find it had inadequate mopping, and reach for the S1 Pro to clean up after the other robot, which also impressed me. There was one comparison between two other robots Just A Dad did where he basically said "this is what good mopping looks like" as he sent out the S1 Pro to clean up. So far, I don't feel ripped off at all. The robot performs very well, and is generally trouble-free.
r/RobotVacuums • When we spend big on a robot vacuum, what differences are we mainly looking for? ->I'll chime in with my experience, since I was in a pretty similar situation a while back. Ripped out carpets, installed all LVP. We've got grass in the yard, but still have the usual issues with tracking in dirt and spilling, and also have a dog who leaves messes on the floor occasionally. I settled on the Eufy S1 Pro. This uses a roller mop rather than the spinning pads that are so popular these days, which is nice because it cleans the mop continuously as it mops and stores dirty water on the robot for later disposal at the base. Spinning pad mops can do as well with some of the dirt detection and auto-remopping features available, but I preferred to keep things simple and "trust the process" to get things clean. So far, that's paid off for me. The S1 Pro mops excellently, is good with dried-on stains with 2 passes, and cleans up wet messes well. Specifically to your question, the water left on the floor is not excessive, to the point where it dries in a few minutes even with higher humidity, max water, and 2 passes. On hard floors, its vacuuming performance is good with regular dust filter cleaning; fine dust tends to accumulate at the filter and embeds itself in the filter. Obstacle avoidance is also good, and navigation is OK; I'll observe that the navigation seems to be less good with recent firmware updates, though not to the point that it's affecting performance. Drawbacks to the S1 series: the vacuuming performance on carpets and rugs is not as good. I consider it adequate, but others may disagree. I suspect you and I may be similar in prioritizing mop performance over carpet vacuum performance. Additionally, it is over-cautious with edges and corners, to the point that we occasionally have to sweep and mop manually under them. An extending side brush would be nice, although the square shape makes it better at edges and corners than a round robot without that feature. Finally, roller mops tend to require more maintenance, specifically for the onboard dirty water tank; its internal filter needs frequent cleaning to prevent it from clogging and dripping dirty water as it mops. Would I recommend the S1 Pro today? I'm not sure; there are a number of other roller mops out now, including Eufy's own E25 and E28. At the right price, most certainly, especially if you need some of its features (plumbing hookup being perhaps the most useful one). Another option to consider is the non-Pro S1, which might be even cheaper yet. Give the spinning pad robots a good look as well; if they can detect and re-mop especially dirty floors, then they can clean as well or better than a roller mop without those features.
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendations for vac/mop for LVP flooring? ->Very few robots are LIDAR-only; pretty much everything has some kind of additional sensor for obstacle avoidance. If you meant "LIDAR mop-only", then I don't know of any. Everything is a combo these days. For good mops: I have a Eufy S1 Pro, which has worked very well for me, but the market has moved on since I bought mine. Get it if the price is significantly less than $1000. I'd recommend anyone looking at a S1 series today look at the Eufy E25 or E28 closely, as it has most of the advantages of the S1 with some additional advantages, and usually for less money. Note that the S1 series has issues with edge and corner cleaning, as well as carpet vacuuming; it's not terrible, but probably not as good as others. If you're using a 11S, though, edge and corner cleaning will certainly be a vast improvement with the S1. There are a number of other brands that sell good robots. Take a look at Dreame and Mova; they're sub-brands of the same company, and they've been delivering some great robots for low prices. I will say that, if mopping is your highest priority with this robot, the Eufy robots I mentioned earlier will likely do better, but at a higher price. Other brands that typically ship good stuff include Roborock and Narwal.
r/RobotVacuums • Robo mop vs electronic mop ->There are four types of mops on robots these days: * A stationary pad. These are the cheapest, and generally the least effective. * A vibrating pad. This is how your S8 works; it's a stationary pad, except that it vibrates as it mops. Better than non-vibrating pads, but still not the best. * Two approximately-round spinning pads. This is the most popular option today, and better than the vibrating or stationary pads. * A long roller or track mop, similar to a wet/dry vac. These are generally the best when implemented well, mostly because they clean the roller/track as it mops and store the dirty water on the robot for later emptying into the base. Eufy has historically been the leader with roller mop robots, and until recently, their S1 series was one of the best robots to get if you valued mopping performance above all else. They're still a great choice, but they sacrifice some vacuuming performance for the excellent mop, are short on smart mopping features like dirt detection, and don't do edges and corners as well. The newer ones are attempting to fix these issues, with varying levels of success so far. Independent reviews are still a little scarce on the Eufy E25 and E28, and very hard to find for any of the unreleased robots (Narwal Flow and Mova Z50 come to mind here). But I'd say these robots are your best options in the roller space. The Ecovacs X8 and Yeedi S14 also have rollers, and that part of those robots seem to do well, but there have been reports of software glitches impacting navigation and obstacle avoidance; check reviews and user reports closely before buying one of those. Spinning-pad robots can also be a good choice, though I've heard that they tend to leave streaks on glossy tile if that's what you have. Narwal's been releasing cheaper robots in this space that seem to do well. Be sure they have the smart mopping features, and that these features work well; that's how these robots overcome some of the limitations with spinning-pad robots.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Vacuum for Mopping??? ->I have a Eufy S1 Pro, and have used it before to clean up kitchen messes. It's a valid criticism that it doesn't lift or stop the vacuum brushes and motor when mopping messes. I deal with this by soaking up excess liquid with paper towels before sending the robot out. If you do a zone clean, make sure the zone covers a much larger area than the mess itself, and have it do a 2x clean in any case. I've gotten very good results with that method. I imagine the Yeedi would be similar, though I have no direct experience with it. The upcoming models may solve these issues with the vacuum and brushes, but you'd have to wait for them. I'd also recommend not being an early adopter of any robot; wait for independent reviews from reputable reviewers before moving ahead.
r/RobotVacuums • Any robot vacuum can handle baking messes? ->Each of these will have its strengths and weaknesses. The E28 will be the best at mopping. Not that the others are terrible, but their mopping systems are inferior to the roller mop in the E28. The others make up for this with smart features, where they will automatically re-mop when they detect they've mopped a particularly dirty area, but like a lot of smart/AI features, the robot may not always get it right. The roller mop system on the E28 will be more likely to get the floor clean the first time. I have a Eufy S1 Pro, which uses the same basic mopping system, and can vouch for its excellence on hard floors with both wet messes and tougher stains. The Saros 10R will likely be better at many other things. There are indications that the 10R is better at obstacle avoidance than most other Roborock offerings, and I've seen at least one review that cast the T50 as only on par with other Ecovacs models. One advantage the 10R will have in mopping: it can leave the mop pads at the base for vacuum-only jobs. The E28 uses the Eufy X10's obstacle avoidance system, which at one time was top of the class and is still probably better than either of the alternatives. It's too early to tell which is better at vacuuming, with both the T50 and E28 claiming superior vacuuming, and the 10R demonstrating that in independent reviews. This is an advantage for the 10R right now: having been out a bit longer, there are plenty of non-shill reviews available. One other advantage the 10R will have over the others: lifting. All three can lift their mops on carpet, but the 10R can lift its whole chassis when vacuuming high-pile carpeting, and can lift the main and side vacuum brushes when it detects a wet mess to avoid sucking or spreading liquid.
r/RobotVacuums • Roborock saros 10R, Eufy E28, or Ecovacs T50 Max Pro Omni ->My Eufy S1 Pro does well with dried-on stains, but otherwise I'd echo the criticisms here. Keep in mind that any unreleased robot is going to be awesome -- at least until the independent reviews come in. :-)
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum where mopping is the priority ->I don't know what your budget is, but obstacle avoidance is one place where you really get what you pay for. The best obstacle avoidance typically ships on the most expensive models. If you have a more limited budget, you will likely be able to improve on your Eufy, but perhaps not to the extent you'd prefer. If you liked your Eufy other than its obstacle avoidance, you'll be happy to know that the higher-end Eufys tend to do very well on obstacle avoidance, and seem to provide great "bang for your buck" in that department. Watch those reviews, though, to be sure it's good enough, and that other issues aren't show-stoppers. I have a S1 Pro, which mops really well. I have LVP floors, but water control seems to be good enough to not be a problem for real wood as long as the floor is sealed properly. It's also good for vacuuming on hard floors, but is less good vacuuming carpets or rugs. And it was #1 on the Vacuum Wars obstacle avoidance list for a little while. Dreame and Mova (they're the same company; Mova is the budget brand for Dreame) also tend to have excellent obstacle avoidance. Reviews seem to rate them highly on most features. If you do have problems, though, Dreame support is not great. Finally, Roborock's new StarSight navigation and obstacle avoidance system is reported to be a huge improvement over their older tech. You can get it in the Qrevo Slim and in the newly-released Saros 10R.
r/RobotVacuums • which robot vacuum ->Ah. That's clearly a defective unit since yours is new. I'm surprised that support hasn't offered to replace your unit, but not that surprised. For reference, I have a Eufy S1 Pro and about 1000 square feet of floor to clean. It has the recharge and resume feature, but has never had to use it. It takes a little over 2 hours to finish the whole job.
r/RobotVacuums • Vacuum for dog hair? ->I'm curious about your characterization of mid-range vs. high-end. I don't mean to imply you're wrong; rather, I'd like to know what you see in those robots that led you to put them in the categories you described. What makes the pricier robots different? Generally, two things: major feature transitions and quality improvements. An example of the former from your list would be to compare the Q5 to the Qrevo Pro; the mopping system on the Qrevo is way better, and the Qrevo actually manages the mop, instead of making you manage it with the Q5. For the latter, consider the L10s vs. the L40/X40; they generally do most of the same things, but the L40 and X40 will do them better than the L10s, especially with regards to obstacle avoidance, edge cleaning, and mop washing/drying. You mention thresholds and carpets; do you have higher thresholds or deep-pile carpet? Most robots should be able to handle 2cm thresholds or shorter and low- or medium-pile carpet without any issues. Robots find random obstacles difficult to manage, and obstacle avoidance is one of the places where you generally get what you pay for. The low end will be very hit-or-miss, to the point that I wouldn't trust the feature for things like pet poop. On the high end -- I've had a Eufy S1 Pro for about 6 months now, and I can count the times it's run over something on the fingers of one hand, and never anything as catastrophic as pet poop.
r/RobotVacuums • $600 or $1000+ Difference? ->Its obstacle avoidance is among the best in the class of 2024. People might argue whether it's better or worse than the Narwal Freo Z or the Dreame X40, but "top three" qualifies as outstanding in my book. I can vouch for it being very, very good.
r/RobotVacuums • Why does S1 Pro mop better than other robot vacuums? ->The S1 Pro provides stereoscopic infrared cameras and a single RGB camera. I'm curious: do you think there's an advantage one way or the other, and why?
r/RobotVacuums • Why does S1 Pro mop better than other robot vacuums? ->It's my understanding that the S1 Pro has three separate sensors: dToF LIDAR, stereoscopic (they call it "binocular") infrared cameras, and a RGB camera. You can see the three cameras as part of the "3D Matrix Eye" part, but there's also a slit above that sensor array where the LIDAR is. A side view of the robot makes the slit very easy to see, as it curves around the front face of the robot and shows whatever's behind the robot through it. I was curious if there's an advantage to stereo RGB over stereo infrared. I know that mine can detect and avoid objects in the dark, but can't identify them. (Maybe that's the answer I'm looking for.)
r/RobotVacuums • Why does S1 Pro mop better than other robot vacuums? ->The bad news is that all current robots with roller mops also vacuum, and all that I know of don't have a mop-only mode. The good news is that there are a number of models which fulfill all of the other items on your want list with varying levels of quality, with more on the way. Here's the list of robots I know of on the market today, with short bouts of summarization/opinion: * SwitchBot S10+. Really cool design, with separate docking stations for the vacuum and mop water filling/emptying. Can be hooked up to plumbing. Can also empty their dehumidifier/fill their humidifier. Can extend the roller to clean right up to walls. Mixed reviews; the mop is a huge positive. * Eureka J20. Independent reviews have not been kind, though the mop has been a standout. * 3i S10 Ultra. Includes a dehumidifier to fill the clean water tank from the air, and a still to distill dirty water into clean water and send the leftovers to the vacuum dustbin. Pretty good reviews, although there's some concern about the longevity of the water management system, there is no way to empty the dirty water tank apart from the still, and the mopping has had a surprising number of poor reviews. Also can extend the roller to get close to walls. * Eufy S1/S1 Pro. Current market leader, with overall positive reviews of the mopping system. Cannot extend the mop roller to walls. Very good obstacle avoidance. (Disclaimer: I own a S1 Pro.) * Ecovacs X8/Yeedi S14. Essentially the same robot; Yeedi is the budget brand for Ecovacs. Very recently released, and the current challenger to the S1. It's still a bit early for independent reviews, but the ones out there are all over the place. There's some concern about Ecovacs/Yeedi robots generally; perception is that their quality has gone down recently. And some that have been announced, but not released yet: * Narwal Flow. * Mova Z50 Ultra.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a robot drum roller mop ->Maintenance is pretty easy on my S1 Pro. I usually spend about a half-hour per week on it; this includes filling and emptying tanks, blowing out the vacuum filter, handling hair (it's not as good at hair tangles, but not the worst either), and cleaning out the debris filter in the robot's dirty water tank. The app will nag you for other maintenance items. You can cut down on maintenance by buying the plumbing kit for the S1 Pro; if I didn't need to mess with the tanks anyway, I'd probably only worry about maintenance every other week at most. Since you mentioned it: the roller slides on and off easily, with a little latch you press that normally holds it in place. It generally runs without needing much until it gets worn out, at which point you replace it, which is about $20. I just did mine after a little less than six months. People complain about the maintenance of the dirty water tank, but I don't think it's that bad. The one thing people get irritated at which I understand: there are three filters that are intended to be replaced in the robot dirty water tank. One of them spends a good bit of time wet, and the little handle to pull it out of the robot has a tendency to rust. It doesn't affect the filter's operation, or weaken enough to break (though I imagine it would eventually if you neglected replacing it for too long). If it matters: I love my S1 Pro, and would buy it again if I had to do it over.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a robot drum roller mop ->I got a S1 Pro in October, also for new LVP floors, and have been happy with it. The mop is clearly the star of the show. I use it to clean spills and pet urine accidents, which it does well with the max water setting and 2 passes, though I also use paper towels to soak up excess liquid and any chunks. Our floor still looks as good as the day we installed it. There are no scratches that I've detected from the robot. We don't have nearly as much hair generation, though. I'm bald, and our dog does not shed, though my wife does have long hair. My experience has been that long hair tends to gather around the axle ends of the main brush, and on the side brushes. The main brush collection is a feature; it's designed with a hollow area on both ends specifically for hair to gather so it doesn't interfere with the brush's action. The side brushes don't seem to do as well; hair just winds up around the center of the brush. I typically clean those out once a week, though I could probably get away with doing it less often, and I do have it vacuum our mostly-carpeted upstairs once a week. Reviews seem to indicate that some of the newer robots do better with hair and can mop nearly as well. Most of these use spinning mop pads, which are not as good as the rollers for a number of reasons, but they make up for this with smart analysis features which cause the robot to re-mop areas it concludes were dirtier than usual. There are a few new models with roller mops out, including the Ecovacs X8 and Yeedi S14 (basically the same robot, as Yeedi is the budget brand for Ecovacs), and a number of other models getting ready to release, including the Mova Z50, Narwal Flow, and Eufy E25 and E28. IMO, the S1 Pro is still the best robot for mopping among the models currently available, though the competition is fierce, and I expect one or more of the newer models to surpass the S1 Pro. The Eufy E25/28 are particularly interesting, as they continue to use the S1's general mopping system but with improvements to address its shortcomings; in particular, they have a new main brush design that may handle tangling much better, as well as other enhancements. Finally, there is a S1 (without the Pro) that's cheaper. You might compare the features of the two to see if any of the Pro features are important to you.
r/RobotVacuums • Best machine for pet hair and mopping? ->It's hard to say. My #1 concern about the E28 is shared with all the upcoming robots: very few independent reviews to date. Did Eufy do a good job implementing all the new features they list? What compromises did they make to bring those new features? How does the built-in spot cleaner affect its performance as a robot, and is the spot cleaner any good? I think I'd wait to make a decision, as some of the E28's enhancements would be welcome. I might also consider the E25 instead, since it's cheaper, and I don't need another spot cleaner. On the other side, I would very seriously consider buying another S1 Pro if something happened to mine. Obviously, it would matter why mine failed. But assuming no flaws in the product caused its demise, there's something to be said for sticking with what you know works, and I have no serious complaints about mine.
r/RobotVacuums • Best machine for pet hair and mopping? ->What's more important for you: great hard floor mopping and so-so carpet vacuuming, or the reverse? Unfortunately, even with the most expensive robots, it's all about compromise. If you prioritize mopping, you can go two routes right now: "dumber" but really good mopping, or second-rate mopping that makes up for it with smart features. For the former, I believe the market leader is still the Eufy S1 or S1 Pro, with its roller mop. The roller mop is superior largely because it cleans the roller as it mops and collects dirty water on the robot itself, while all the rest rely on going back to the dock to clean the mop occasionally, leaving more of a possibility of spreading dirt around rather than taking it off the floor. Look at the extra features for the Pro to see if they're worth the extra money. There are a few newer robots that have roller mops with some better features, but reviews have been mixed at best for these, so proceed with caution; these would include the Ecovacs Deebot X8 and Yeedi S14 (which are largely the same unit with a few different features and prices, as Yeedi is the budget brand for Ecovacs). Most of the top flagship robots fall into the second category, including the Roborock Saros 10R and Dreame X50. I've described how roller mops are better than the spinning pads of these robots. These higher-end robots make up for that by analyzing what it's doing with various features to recognize stains or messes, or sensing dirt in the water used to wash the mop. In those cases, it will pay more attention to messy spots, go back early to wash the mop, or re-mop areas it thinks might have been too dirty to clean effectively the first time. This can be more effective than a dumb roller mop -- when the AI systems actually figure out that something needs to happen, which they don't always do. These seem to be improving over time, though. If you prioritize vacuuming, my advice would likely be the same for preferring smart mops, as those flagships also tend to be better at vacuuming than roller mops have been so far. These would also be good choices if you're not as willing to sacrifice some vacuuming performance for top-notch mopping. My experience with the Eufy S1 Pro is that the carpet performance is OK, but not great, and I have no reason to believe other roller mops have improved on that. Finally, there are a number of robots due to be released in the next few months that promise to give you the best of all worlds: great roller mop performance with smart mopping and awesome vacuuming. These would include the Mova Z50 and Narwal Flow. Of course, we won't know for sure until we have good independent reviews available; they apparently exist in Chinese, but I don't have access to those, so can't comment. It's possible that the new robots won't be any better than what you can get now, so it's up to you whether it's worth waiting.
r/RobotVacuums • Best for mopping (muddy dog) and pet hair on carpet ->Those are older robots. The Roborock and Dreame would be OK for the right price, but I would probably avoid the Ecovacs X2; it did poorly in reviews, particularly at navigation. The Roomba doesn't have mop pad washing; for the prices I'm seeing, you can do much better. If obstacle avoidance is important, then I would purchase one of the flagship robots from a brand known to have good obstacle avoidance: the Eufy S1 Pro, Dreame X40, or Narwal Freo Z. I might tentatively include the Roborock Saros 10R; Roborock has historically been poor at obstacle avoidance, and this is a new product, but some reviews have indicated it does much better than other Roborocks at avoiding obstacles.
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendation request: robot vacuums for infant household ->The Eufy S1 Pro can do carpets and rugs. It's just not as good for carpet/rug vacuuming as any of the other options listed. It depends on what you think is more important. If mopping is the priority and you're OK with vacuuming that isn't as good, get the Eufy. Otherwise, look elsewhere. (I own a Eufy S1 Pro.)
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum and mop combo during president's day sale ->I'll add to the chorus of happy S1 Pro owners. Did you know there's a plain S1, non-Pro? You lose a few features, but also a few hundred dollars off the price, depending on what sale you can get.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 pro on sale for $1200-worth it? ->Eufy S1 pro in our house with 3 dogs and 2 kids. Thing is insane
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum and Mop to Buy with Good Suction? ->This. Dreame L40 Ultra or Narwal Freo Z Ultra (specfically from Costco, USA) I went for Eufy S1 Pro based on my requirements (hardwood floors, no kids, no pets, condo living with closed windows). My floors are usually clean (no-one dragging dirt into the unit) and clutter free. I also have an ancient Roomba that does an adequate job. I wanted a good mop essentially (since I procrastinate mopping a lot). But Dreame L40 ultra was a close competitor. I would have bought it were it not for: \- Its mopping is secondary to Eufy S1 Pro. \- Its product support is atrocious. Mine is admittedly a narrow use-case and will stay so for the foreseeable future. But outside that, either Dreame L40 Ultra is a top dog for both vacuuming and mopping.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum is a workhorse? ->I agree with luikiedook but am nervous of Dreame hardware reliability. Roborock is my favorite brand but I recently picked up a Eufy S1 Pro. It has been amazing. I have a Berner and a Husky but haven’t had any tangles in the short time I’ve owned it. My Roborock S7 has lasted for years, is still going and feel their flagships will still do the same. I know OP doesn’t have much carpet but for those that see this: I recommend Duo-divide for hard floor and duo-roller for carpet. Interesting fact, Roomba pulls more hair out of the carpet in one pass. Doesn’t matter because it’s also left on top of the carpet.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot for a large house with pet hair? ->If I were in the same position as last year, choosing a robot vacuum, I’d still go with eufy. Beyond its mopping, what sets eufy apart is its obstacle avoidance and customer service. These two aspects have saved me a ton of hassle, no rescue messages from it getting stuck, and no headaches from sluggish customer service. Even if I were to replace my current s1 pro, I’d wait for the next-gen eufy model.
r/RobotVacuums • So, with more and more roller/belt robot vacuums coming out, how likely are you to stick with the Eufy S1 Pro? ->I’d say Eufy S1 pro is the best.
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended robot vacuums in the past year ->Just wanting to close this out by saying after further reading (lets not call that research) I have a Eufy S1 pro in my house. Its actually pretty good and my floors are alreadyblooking cleaner after a day. A few challenges with it rolling into a room and rolling straight out saying it was cleaned but that doesnt seem to be the norm. Being able to schedule different rooms on different days/times with different types/levels of cleaning is great as most of the cleaning can be done when we are out of the house. Hopefully it heeps on impressing.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot mop and vac for hardwood floors? ->Just read some reviews that are less than glowing. Disappointing given the price.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot mop and vac for hardwood floors? ->Definitley no perfect one yey. But for $2700 Australian dollars im hoping i can get close. Im not buying it to be perfect, im buying it to maintain the house and extend the time betseen manual cleans. This does tick most of my boxes though as mopping hardwood floors is one of my top priorities.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot mop and vac for hardwood floors? ->I have shorthair pets on hardwood floors and have found the vacuuming great as well so this seems like a problem with the unit. But now im going to run a swiffer broom over everything to see if it picks anything up.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum & mop combo for pets (not eufy S1pro) ->So injust ran a swiffer broom over the house and it djd pick uo some dog hair, which im fairly sure was around some areas the S1 doesnt reach. However.... i did just pull the hair and dust off the swiffer and dump i in the middle of the room and set a zone for tbe S1 to clean..... and it kind of just balled it all up amd left it there. So, to a point, you are correct and perhaps it isnt the best at vacuuming uo dog hair. The difference with me is i couldnt see mine on the floor to begin with.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum & mop combo for pets (not eufy S1pro) ->There are two robots that have exceptional obstacle avoidance. The eufy s1 pro and narwal freo z. Both are fine with cables, small toys, poop, cat vomit, socks on the floor ect. Freo z has slightly better avoidance but s1 has much better mopping.
r/RobotVacuums • is there really a robot vacuum that truly avoids pet mistakes ->In my opinion, the Eufy S1 pro at $1000, would be the best value for money. P.S. I really do not think those high claims of 10,000-17,000 pa suction by Roborock are realistic or are needed for daily/weekly cleaning.
r/Appliances • What do you think are the best robot vacuums available now? Do they work better than traditional cleaning methods? ->We are gonna go with the Eufy for now. I will report back. It will be here tomorrow!
r/RobotVacuums • “Garage” Vacuum/Mop ->What was your issue with the waste water tank? I've been very happy with it. (I mean as happy as you can be about a tank of dirty water.)
r/RobotVacuums • Why does S1 Pro mop better than other robot vacuums? ->Oh! The one on robot. I was thinking about the one on the base. Yes, the one on the robot is awful. I had to get into it this weekend and even after watching the video four times struggled with it.
r/RobotVacuums • Why does S1 Pro mop better than other robot vacuums? ->We run it most days now and the dirty water tank still picks things up, but the water is pretty clear now. Nothing like that first time. When we don't use it for a couple days, the tank is significantly dirtier.
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->We’ve got a Eufy S1Pro, and love it for the mopping, it mops better than the Tineco handheld. I got a robo purely for its mopping ability
r/RobotVacuums • Vacuum and mop combo ->Have you tried vacuuming in turbo or max mode? When I first got the S1 Pro, I also noticed it would leave things behind in standard mode on carpet. Since switching to turbo, it picks up a lot more. If that’s still not enough, consider the E25/E28 which has double the suction as the S1 and an extendable side brush. Or look for a vacuum with dual rollers which will have better performance on carpet.
r/RobotVacuums • Performance limitations of the Eufy S1 Pro… Any tips for something better? ->Eufy S1 Pro. I have cats, messy teens with long hair, complex mapping inside of rooms, junk piles of miscellaneous kids stuff/cords, and different height insets under floor cabinets. It handles them all. Carpet, hardwood floors, linoleum, and a rug/runner on top of hardwood in front of my front door. It transitions well between mopping hard surfaces to vacuum only on the rugs. Only downside is that it can't move open doors to clean being them, which no robot vac can in the current generation.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum and Mop to Buy with Good Suction? ->Eufy s1 pro Ecovacs x8 omni (I think) Mova z50 ultra pro Narwal flow Basically look for devices with roller mops.
r/RobotVacuums • which robot vacuum ->Sad you left out the best ones for non carpet lol \- Eufy s1 Pro \- Ecovacs x8 Omni (Very new so milage may vary) \- Switchbot s10 Coming soon (maybe): \- Narwall Flow \- Mova z50 pro (ultra?)
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot for me? ->I feel seen. I've gone through the same emotions. A 1000 dollar robot should have some minimal qualities that just work. I had Dreame x40 and it was impressive but then things didn't work. Too many sensors were wonky. It keeps beeping saying "charging" every few minutes. Didn't warn when it was out of water. Or when dirty water tank was overflowing. The Eufy S1 pro was the best at washing floors with a caveat of it did not go near edges. So I had a strip or 2 inches of dirty floor in the kitchen. Currently landed on Roborock Qrevo master but I learned to adjust expectations. It's first fun run I had to rescue it once and a couple of other times remove a small plastic wrapper that was caught in the roller and making a lot of noise. But it does a decent job. And their app is the best out there. I think this is as good a it gets for this era of robo vacuums. PS - none of them handle rubber mats well and all leave an inch of dirt around it as they try to climb on.
r/RobotVacuums • Need a new robot vacuum- tried Dreame x40 ultra and Roborock qrevo slim ->Pay the difference and get the $999 Eufy S1 Pro. It’s the mopping leader or wait until they get the e28, which had the roller style mop.
r/RobotVacuums • [Help] What robot vacuum to pick from bestbuy.com under $800? Coming from the Roomba 405 ->Eufy S1 Pro
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum where mopping is the priority ->Great mopping vacuum just have to keep it cleaned out. The internal tank gets gross easily.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum where mopping is the priority ->I’d set my expectations for carpet very low unless you want to buy the Dyson, which doesn’t mop and has terrible navigation. The Eufy S1 Pro is a great mopping robot, terrible on carpet. Everything is a compromise.
r/RobotVacuums • Best for mopping (muddy dog) and pet hair on carpet ->You really can’t go wrong if you are willing to spend $1000+ and pick a flagship model. My personal experience is Narwal Freo Z Ultra has the best AI avoidance for things like cords or strings. The brush is also tangle free, allegedly. So that would be great for your cats. Get it at Costco so you can return it if it breaks two years from now or you just don’t like it. Currently on sale too for about $400 off. My second choice would Eufy S1 Pro if mopping is the most important to you. Wait for it to go sale at Amazon for $999. Its AI avoidance is very good, but carpet performance suffers. I’d recommend Roborock but I haven’t owned one yet that doesn’t run right over cords. I have the S8 Max V Ultra. No experience with Dreame or Ecovacs/Yedi. Stay away from iRobot.
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendation request: robot vacuums for infant household ->There's trade offs to anything you buy. I disagree the S1 Pro is a nightmare for maintenance. I clean it once a week like everything else. It's fine. Here's how to clean it: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFVwWhZluRQ&t=213s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFVwWhZluRQ&t=213s) It's a poor vacuum performer, but so is the 10R compared to previous models. How much of your home is carpet? You can switch out its brush roll for the Eufy E20 brush to improve it. However, the biggest problem with the S1 Pro is it's been out for more than a year and it's getting long in the tooth. You'd be paying for old tech at this point. There's some new models coming this fall from Mova, Dreame and Narwal that have rollers. It may be worth the wait to see if there's one with better cleaning performance for carpeted areas.
r/Roborock • Help me choose between Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy S1 Pro for a house (carpet & laminate flooring) – Any other suggestions? ->Roller is fixed. It would need to extend to do edge cleaning.
r/Roborock • Help me choose between Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy S1 Pro for a house (carpet & laminate flooring) – Any other suggestions? ->Narwal Freo Z Ultra if you want as close to perfect obstacle avoidance and tangle free as you can get. It’s also good at avoiding cords and quiet. Their replacement accessories are ridiculously priced (look elsewhere). Not great on carpet. Eufy S1 Pro rains supreme as a mopping robot, and has decent avoidance but not as good as the Narwal. Terrible at carpet. Have yet to use a Roborock that doesn’t eat cords.
r/RobotVacuums • Vac+Mop-Poop ->FYI, it was $999 just a few weeks ago. It’s a great mop, but not the best vacuum. You can sand down the edges of a C20 brush to fit in the S1 Pro, making better for carpet but that’s kind of a janky solution.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 pro on sale for $1200-worth it? ->My Eufy S1 pro seems to do the [same thing](https://www.reddit.com/r/eufyS1Pro/comments/1grvcq0/s1_long_hair_handling_first_inpressions/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button).
r/RobotVacuums • Robot that does not get hair tangled ->Yep. I’ve had no issues with the Neato robot longevity. They outlasted the company. Botvac connected was still going strong except for battery and knackered side brush at 5 years (daily use). Replaced with a D7 when on offer and that’s still going strong 5 years on (battery still fine), except for the side brush dying again after year 2. Bought a D8 on offer for <€200 about the time Neato was folding for another area of the home, and that’s still going strong. Have just ordered a Eufy S1 Pro after seeing the first convincing mopping, so I’m hoping it can match the Neato longevity (but with working side brushes).
r/RobotVacuums • Is it normal for a robot vacuum to have such a short lifespan? ->Look at the eufy s1 pro.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot mop and vac for hardwood floors? ->It’s worth mentioning that there is no perfect robot for all homes and surfaces. This is very much a rapidly developing area of technology. That said, I have the S1 myself. It’s not great on low pile carpet, and only ok at corners. But it is very good at cleaning hard floors and I’m very happy with it. What did you read?
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot mop and vac for hardwood floors? ->It may be because of the low pile carpet. My S1 is not great at pulling out cat hair on low pile carpets, leaves lots behind. But on hard floors it’s perfect.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum & mop combo for pets (not eufy S1pro) ->That is very unusual, mine is excellent on hard floors. No pet hair left at all.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum & mop combo for pets (not eufy S1pro) ->Do you have pets? My S1 isn’t very good at pulling out worn in cat hair even on low pile rugs. But the mopping and general performance on hard floors is top notch.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum Mop Combo: Eufy Omni S1 Pro vs Dreame X40 Ultra vs Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Other? ->I’m thinking that if you routinely have quite muddy floors to clean up, then a horizontal spinning mop may not be good enough. The issue is that they don’t collect dirty water, and have to return to the base station to clean the pads. So by design they do kind of dilute and spread dirt around. Something like the eufy s1 pro may genuinely be much better, it collects dirty water and constantly cleans the roller. So cannot spread it. There are limits of course, I wouldn’t be sending my s1 to clean up a big mess of any description, robot cleaners are designed for regular and maintenance cleaning. Not a big pile of wet mud for example. But it should be able to deal with muddy paw prints no problem.
r/RobotVacuums • Review: ROBOROCK Qrevo Curv is a massive disappointment ->The s1 has its downsides as well, not the best at deep cleaning carpet, and doesn’t have extending arms or mops for better corner and edge cleaning. But on hard floors in general, it’s superb. And also don’t miss that the s1 has an ozone generator in the clean water tank, this combined with the cleaning solution can give a sterilising effect. Also prevents the dirty water tank from smelling nasty. It’s a great feature.
r/RobotVacuums • Review: ROBOROCK Qrevo Curv is a massive disappointment ->The real answer is the eufy s1 pro if you want the absolute best mopping.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robo vac money can buy for pet hair/mopping floors ->It’s the S1, I have it and it’s superb. I’d go so far as to say it’s the only true robot mop, those with horizontal spinning pads wipe more than they mop. The roller of the S1 is being constantly cleaned and having the dirty water removed, whereas horizontal pads have to go back to the dock to be cleaned.
r/RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->It depends on how concerned about cleaning performance you are, the S1 will perfectly clean hard floors so that they look and feel spotless. Whereas the horizontal spinning pads will spread dirt around and thin it out, rather than entirely removing it. I’m sure the x10 will do a good job, I had preordered it but then changed to back the kickstarter and am very glad that I did. I believe there are discount codes that work, and eufy always run discounts and deals. So maybe wait a little and see if a good deal comes up?
r/RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->I find it quite surprising that they’re still using the strange vibrating pad on their most expensive and premium models. I’d rather have the spinning pads of the q revo. But none compare to the S1, there’s a user on discord that owned a qrevo and remarked how much cleaner the S1 makes his floors by comparison.
r/RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->It’s only just launched, you can buy it from the eufy website.
r/RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->It does, the ground floor in my house is a mixture of wooden flooring and tile and it does a superb job. It does ok on carpet, but the pickup isn’t the best for things like worn in pet hair. On hard floors though, there is literally nothing better. Going forward, I think all manufacturers will have to shift to the roller type mop. The difference in performance between a horizontal pad and a spinning roller cannot be understated. This will actually properly clean your floors, as in you wouldn’t be able to do it better yourself.
r/RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->Great review, it’s coming up to almost a year of owning the S1 pro for me, 204 hours of cleaning. It’s been very reliable and has worked perfectly. It does need a general bit of maintenance every 7-10 days, clean air filter, dirty water filter, empty dirty water etc. But it's worth it for the performance.
r/RobotVacuums • Personal review: Just got my Eufy S1 Pro - very happy! ->Carpet performance is bad with the standard silicone brush, the combo brush from the eufy e20 can be easily modified to fit I believe. But you will have to remove tangled hair from the brush yourself, during or after cleaning as there is no automatic function for this. As standard it’s bad at deep cleaning carpet, will struggle to remove cat hair on a low pile mat.
r/RobotVacuums • Personal review: Just got my Eufy S1 Pro - very happy! ->3 long haired cats, no kids. Run it at least every other day, but daily most of the time. Have all hard floors, takes about 70 minutes to clean the downstairs on deep mode.
r/RobotVacuums • Personal review: Just got my Eufy S1 Pro - very happy! ->This confirms what I’ve always thought, robots with spinning pads just dilute and spread the dirt around. Have been very satisfied with the mopping ability of my S1 pro.
r/RobotVacuums • HUGE difference: Spinning vs roller-style mopping results AFTER cleaning ->I’ve got a eufy s1 pro and haven’t manually mopped my floors since I bought it 10 months ago. If there is a stain it can’t remove, then I’ll scrub that spot by hand. That aside, it keeps my hard floors spotless.
r/RobotVacuums • People who have a top vacuum robot as Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni, do you still need a wet vacuum? ->Totally agree.. So unfortunately robo vacuums, each brand, each individual vacuum has their own pros and cons. I also along with everyone kept comparing the eufy x10 with qrevo and even against dreame models. Ultimately the price for eufy x10 during prime day attracted me to order the x10. My dream is to buy the eufy s1 pro because that one is a fantastic mop. However that one doesn't vacuum as well as other robo vacuums even when it excels in mopping. I have been with the roborock original vacuum (no mop feature) for many years and wanted to try one with mop feature. I just cleaned my home with the eufy x10. Is it a perfect vacuum? No it isn't. But am I happy with it? Absolutely, the price that I paid was approximately 650usd tax included. The eufy x10 has definitely a lot of features from premium vacuums. For my flooring which is practically all hardwood, I find it vacuum and mopped pretty well. Another consideration for myself was warranty support. Eufy/Anker I have dealt with and at least they are responsive. I did see that both roborock and dreame which are basically same operating company is very unhelpful if you needed support or warranty service. For a 650 USD purchase, that needs to also be a consideration. Ultimately it depends on your budget and what you want... But for someone that is looking for midrange, the eufy x10 definitely fits the target range.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy X10 Pro Omni Review ->It's really not that bad.. I believe the recharge is same as the s1 pro. It takes many washing cycles before you go through one bottle. If it is an issue just add the liquid directly to the clean water tank. Of course you should be using Robovac friendly solution.
r/RobotVacuums • My Review of the new eufy E25 ->Wait for Eufy S1 Pro to drop in price. The price after the drop is $999.99. I have one, and its mopping performance on hardwood is superb.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot Vacuum Recommendations for Mixed Hardwood & Carpet Floors ->I keep my garage dialed using the Eufy S1 Pro and it works great. I also have an epoxy type floor and need a robot that was better at mopping vs vacuum. This unit fit the bill.
r/RobotVacuums • “Garage” Vacuum/Mop ->As someone who backed it... This comment makes me kinda sad. Do you not recommend it?
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->Support was good for me. Techie did a remote firmware update and issue resolved
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot vacuum? ->My Eufy S1 pro is awesome!
r/RobotVacuums • what is the best robot vacuum now? ->All I can say is I had my Eufy 15C Max vacuum for quite some time (almost four years), and then they came out with the: # eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S1 Pro [https://www.eufy.com/products/t2080111](https://www.eufy.com/products/t2080111) on Kickstarter and I had been doing all sorts of research on the solutions. And out of all of the version, this one got me excited. Additionally, not only did I get the reduced price - but I also got it further reduced with the accessories package and saved an additional £100 before purchase. What do I think of it? It is pretty amazing when I compare it to the old bounce-alot 15C Max, it has been a dream. Th only challenge is the maintenance of the materials - you gotta clean the dirt trap, the water tanks are pretty good for an entire month for my flat, and I have yet to use up the cleaning fluid after almost eight months. I can not say it is perfect - it does have its hangups with shoelaces and other material getting caught (like a piece of wet paper stopped the roller), but its maintenance has been a dream for the most part. I will say I love the fact that since I have had it, the floor never feels dirty - and I live near a main city road and grime will appear naturally. And just wait until it is pollen season - but my Omni get the job done. And yes, for FIVE more days - it is on serious sale ($500 off at the website).
r/RobotVacuums • Need recommendations, i’ve read too many reviews and now i’m spiraling ->euft s1 pro if you really want to wash. if you want to pretend to wash then go for any one with rotating brushes. (unless you have a lot of carpet, then just get the one with more suction power)
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot vacuum? ->Hey man! Not sure if too late to give a reply... I purchased a Dreame L10 Ultra or something like that. I really liked the general performance, but was disappointed by the edge cleaning and mop performance. Returned the unit and bought the S1 Pro on Kickstarter since I read its mop performance was stellar. It's true !!! Seriously, in all the other robot mops that exist and only "spread" the dirt, this robot mop is awesome. Not everything about it is great (maybe the vacuum performance isn't the best, maybe it doesn't clean at 0.001 mm from the edges) but for me, the most important (having 2 pets, and one really intrigued by the water in the bathtub) is the mop performance and it achieves !!! Day and night difference with this unit VS all other options. I don't really care if my robot vacuums 99.9 or 99.5% of the dirt; what I want is clean floors!
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->The only downside I have seen is it does mediocre at best on vacuuming carpet. If you have no carpet it is a solid choice.
r/RobotVacuums • Why does S1 Pro mop better than other robot vacuums? ->i rarely use my stick vacuum since getting a robot vacuum. i’ll have to use it to clean around my bird cage because the robot vacuum can’t get all of the seeds out of the edges of the carpet but that’s about it. they are great if you have dogs that shed a lot, or even if you don’t. i have the eufy s1 pro which has the best mopping technology out there, and it keeps my hard floors so clean, but even before that when i had just a basic roomba 980 just having the vacuuming itself is a game changer. they don’t really “deep clean” and i still will go through and mop the edges of my hard floors and i will shampoo my carpets once in a while because i rent and they are old, but it will definitely give you more free time especially if you are someone that likes to have super clean floors all the time and you have pets. it also encourages you to keep your floors picked up so that the robot doesn’t get stuck on anything which will make your home feel cleaner as well. one of my favorite things about a robot vacuum is how it can get underneath the bed and other pieces of furniture that would normally be difficult to clean under. i would never be able to vacuum all the way under my bed, and now it gets done every day
r/RobotVacuums • Can robot vacuum truly deep clean your home? ->Eufy S1 Pro is phenomenal. Went from an S7 to the Eufy and the Eufy pulled up black water. It's in an entirely different league compared to the others from a mopping perspective. Is middle of the road from a vacuuming perspective.
r/homeautomation • Can robot vacuum truly deep clean your home? ->Mopping = Eufy S1 Pro (2 generations ahead of the competition at least) Vacuum = Roborock, any of the newer models beats everyone else out.
r/homeautomation • Whats the best robot vacuum for an average home? ->Depends on your flooring and needs If carpets - Roborock - best vacuuming particularly if you pair it with an auto empty dock (most newer models) If hardwood and no pets (Read not an inordinate amount of vacuuming) - Eufy S1 Pro - Best mopping hands down along with pretty good vacuuming
r/smarthome • What is the Best Robot Vacuum that Homeowners absolutely love and recommend? ->For mopping eufy s1 pro (average vacuuming) Vacuuming newer roborock ( below average mopping)
r/homeautomation • Wife says it's time, what's the best robot vacuum? ->For mopping Eufy S1 Pro is the best, Roborock isn't even in the same league. For vacuuming Roborock is better. Eufy goes on sale once or twice a year for a thousand and happens to be on sale right now. Negatives of eufy is it isn't as good at corners and the vacuum is good not excellent. For mopping it actually picks up dirty water as it goes instead of just spreading it around like the roborock. It has clean water / dirty water tanks. Edit: They apparently just came out with a new model E28 that's an upgrade, don't think it's been reviewed by vacuum wars etc yet.
r/Roborock • Should I drop $1800 on a robot vacuum or go cheaper? ->Roborock is best for pet hair, and the eufi S1 is best for mopping floors. Eify s1 pro is okay with pet hair, i have one, but I've seen reviews where the robo is better.
r/RobotVacuums • Dog parents! What vacuum-only robot works GREAT for pet hair? ->They reduced water consumption in the newer X30 and X40 models. They are supposed to be able to detect stains and schedule ancillary jobs using additional water only if required. In those cases the robots would finish the main job first, return to the station and then complete ancillary tasks, i.e. re-mopping of stained areas. In my opinion all the high-end models have serious issues; Eufy S1 Pro, Narwal Z ultra, Roborock Curv, Dreame X40. I'd never recommend any of these models to friends/family. Just get a Xiaomi X20 Plus/Pro/Max. Tried, tested and easy to maintain architecture. Also, they have "realistic" obstacle avoidance, i.e. object recognition. That is they will confidently and smoothly run over small objects, pet faeces and spills 100% of the time. High-end models spend a lot of effort second-guessing their environment, leading to erratic cleaning patterns and inconsistent results. Instead of running over a pile of dog shit 100% of the time, they'll do it 50%, 20% or perhaps even just 5% of the time. That doesn't really help anyone. Vacuuming and mopping shit all over the place 5% of the time is still 5% too much. Small and wet object avoidance is a problem that should be solved by the user, not by the robot.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Dreame vacuum with pets ->The Eufy S1 pro Is truly amazing It uses clean brush technology and the new firmware allows it to clean right to the corner. Yes vacuuming is not the very best that’s out there. However it is good enough if you use a very good vacuum cleaner to prep the floor then it works really nice. You can just keep up with the vacuum as well and use the big vacuum less the floors are scrubbed sanitary clean.
r/RobotVacuums • After a month of analysis paralysis I found the one... MOVA P10 Pro Ultra ->The best cost no object vac-mop is the 3i S10 I had the Eufy S1 pro and the Flagship Eureka J 15 and the 3i is better at mopping and on strong or max suction is a great vacuum. You also don’t need to deal with a disgusting dirty water tank and also has a self filling clean water tank and incredible obstacle avoidance.
r/RobotVacuums • Best mop vacuum in the market for hardwood ->I have been using my 3i S10 robot for close to 2 months I have used and returned to Amazon the Eufy S1 pro Omni- which was great at mopping but terrible at vacuuming carpet- I also returned the Eufy X8 pro and Flagship Eureka J15. The 3i is the best robot so far it has incredible suction when you set it at either strong or Max. If you need serious mopping you can have it mop 2x I never filled the water tank since set up due to the dehumidifier and water distillation. Also no disgusting dirt water tank to smell and dump and the dirty water splatters everywhere. it also has excellent obstacle avoidance and a pretty decent battery
r/RobotVacuums • Looking to buy my first robot vacuum and I am completely overwhelmed ->I believe the Eufy is better at getting out dried in stains. But it’s vacuuming performance is not as good as the 3i Set on strong or max. The S1 does get very close to the edge so it’s not a deal breaker. My floors are generally clean so I am not so concerned about getting out bad dried in stains- and my porcelain floors look like a sheet glass. My suggestion is you simply contact Eufy and ask for a subscription- this means you rent the S1 for 1 month and see if you like it. You pay $99 a month and when the S2 Comes out return the S 1 and get the S 2.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking to buy my first robot vacuum and I am completely overwhelmed ->I returned my S1 pro Omni As I was not happy with the edge cleaning when mopping, poor carpet pick up and complicated waste water tank on the robot. I now use the 3i S10 and it is in another league as far as cleaning and vacuuming. Also it does not have a dirty water tank and you don’t even have to refill the clean water tank- I will be posting a video as I love this machine.
r/RobotVacuums • So, with more and more roller/belt robot vacuums coming out, how likely are you to stick with the Eufy S1 Pro? ->You can talk all you want- I have returned 5 robot vacuum mop robots 4 from Eufy including the S1 pro and Eureka J15 flagship The 3i S 10 that I am using now is better in every way The biggest complaint being carpet cleaning is overcome by making sure the carpet suction mode is set to max suction- which now rivals the cleaning ability of my upright SEBO G1 It mops great and makes it own water Also the dirty water gets distilled by boiling it and gets reused It works really well And customer support is very helpful and responsive.
r/Roborock • Impressive competitor for Roborock robot vacuums - 3i ->I returned the S1 Pro due to poor carpet vacuuming and a poorly designed waste water tank on the robot. I had a. $400 coupon on Amazon and bought the 3i S 10 It is so far way better than the S1. Only problem is max suction for carpet drains the battery faster but - it has enough juice to do my mostly carpeted upstairs.
r/RobotVacuums • Why does S1 Pro mop better than other robot vacuums? ->If you have porcelain tiles forget about the S1 pro. To get the floor clean you will need to use the deep clean setting. Unfortunatelythis will leave water streaks all over the shiny tiles. Iv returned my first one as I though it qas faulty, the second one is the exact same. Only way to stop water streaks is use the minimal mop setting, which then won't even clean up small drink spills. The hoo er part is good and the mop on mat tiles or timber is good. Just not on porcelain tiles
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot vacuum? ->Unfortunately it has reliability issues
r/RobotVacuums • Best mopping robot for hard floor ->Vacuum stopped working Then in another device the water injection while mopping didn’t work
r/RobotVacuums • Best mopping robot for hard floor ->This is really good info. The fact that it came back with so much dirty water after you had cleaned it thoroughly manually means that it is doing a much better job. One question I had is, if the S1 has done a mopping run, and you did a 2nd mopping run, how dirty is the water from the 2nd run? Is it substantially cleaner? Can you do enough back to back runs such that the water in the dirty water tank is barely dirty?
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->I recently purchased the Eufy S1 Pro and have been in love with the thing since day 1. It looks cool, the mopping is phenomenal and overall does everything I need it to do well. While I was researching the Eufy for months before pulling the trigger, I also came across the 3i S10 Ultra and was very intrigued by this thing. I’d buy this over the Eufy if it wasn’t for its starting price and design. I got the Eufy from Amazon during their Black Friday week for $999. The s10 starts at 1899 but is currently on sale 1519. If the design were better than the Eufy, I would have payed the extra 500 dollars for it I have not seen this robot covered much on Reddit so I just wanted to bring it here for discussion! Here are it’s stand out features. 1. It automatically draws water from the air to refill its own water tank 2. It recycles the dirty water used for mopping, purifying it and using that same water to clean again (you’ll never have to add clean water to this robot for anything) 3. The mop roller is able to extend itself to the edge of baseboards for better edge to edge cleaning. 4. It also is smart enough to know if it’s cleaning up wet or dry messes and will stop the suction of the vacuum when it detects wet messes (something the eufy currently does not do) 5. It also has much higher PA rating at 13000 compared to the Eufys 8 i believe. What do you guys think? Eufy? Or S10?
r/RobotVacuums • 3i S10 Ultra over the Eufy S1 Pro? 🤔 ->I agree also another reason why I chose Eufy
r/RobotVacuums • 3i S10 Ultra over the Eufy S1 Pro? 🤔 ->To follow up on my Eufy recommendation. The S1 is on sale right now for $799. The S1 Pro is also on sale for a 1k which is what I would get honestly. That’s a steal.
r/RobotVacuums • Curious about mop tech. Is vibrating or rolling mop better? ->Certainly the e28 now. It seems to be better on paper than the S1 pro. I just wish that it had the ozone generator for the clean water like the S1 Pro does. Curious to see what they do for the S2.
r/RobotVacuums • Curious about mop tech. Is vibrating or rolling mop better? ->I just got a Eufy S1 Pro and it does a good job, keeping up on the day to day. It mops and vacuums based on the floor type. I had to change the default setting to empty the dust pan into the base station every 250 sq feet instead of the default setting, of I think 700 sq ft, then it started to really get it all. It’s also great at going around things it should vacuum, in case dog or kid toys are left out. The mop feature is great with a roller that self cleans. If mopping is not a need, the roborock and Dreame brands are supposed to have great vacuum performance. I still have to use my Miele or Stick vacuum occasionally, but not everyday. I have 1 Berner, 1 cat, and 3 kids and it has changed my life, lol.
r/bernesemountaindogs • What's the best robot vacuum for pet hair now? ->We got a eufy s1 pro last year. Originally wanted the Roborock QRevo but it wasn’t yet available in the U.K. at the time. Have a dog and child. I think the S1 pro’s obstacle avoidance is much better since it uses a camera. It runs every morning and has been able to handle all the weird crap that’s left on the floor bar baby sock which seems to foil the robot every time.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot in the UK right now? ->I’ll copy my “review” (not really a review, just some quick impressions after week 1) from another comment in case it’s useful to anyone: I’ve had mine for a week now, previously had a Neato D85, an iRobot J7, and a Roborock Q Revo. So far, it’s a great mop, an alright vacuum, and a functional work in progress on the software side. The great: - First of all, there’s nothing that comes close in terms of mopping. The amount of dirt the S1 lifts of my floors after they are mopped by a housekeeper and a Q Revo is astonishing. - Second, both the vacuum and the dock are probably the best built out of all I’ve owned. I do question piano black and gloss plastic on a robot vacuum, but it sure does look good. The good: - Despite using a new kind of lidar design, pathing is solid. On the current firmware (.33), the robot is definitely too cautious about edges and height clearance. The upcoming version currently in limited release (.40) swings the other way, it makes the vacuum overly aggressive and brave. The only significant gripe I have with pathing is the lack of programming to mop along the edge of carpets where the robot lifted the mop on the first pass. - Obstacle avoidance is generally on par with the J7. It does struggle in low contrast environments and the lack of an LED light doesn’t help, but overall it’s more than enough for the vacuum to run daily without prep. - The maintenance is easier than expected. The dirty water tank adds a couple of steps to the weekly routine, but it still takes less than 10 minutes. The not so good: - It is a loud one. Not quite as loud as the J7, but noticeably louder than the Q Revo. The auto-empty cycle is also longer than other robots, about double that of the J7. Even mop drying (that runs for 4 hours) makes a noticeable noise. Not an issue for me, but I would not put the dock in the bedroom. - Firmware is not quite there. A few times, the robot had randomly stopped in the middle of a run with a notification that doesn’t make sense (e.g. “dust collection stopped”, or “mop washing stopped”…while it’s not on the dock). Pathing could be improved so that empty/wash cycles work in synergy with the cleaning plan, edges are vacuumed and mopped more closely, and areas around edges of rugs are re-mopped after they are detected. - Clean water tank is smaller than I’d like, refill is every 2-3 days for a 1700 square foot house. Overall, very impressed by this effort from Eufy and I think I will end up keeping it despite the kinks because of how well it mops.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->FWIW cleaning the dirty water tank on S1 pro takes me less than 10 minutes per week. I have two actively shedding dogs, one actively shedding wife, and blown-in cellulose insulation (so lots of dust).
r/RobotVacuums • Roller-Mop Robot Vacuums? Or mop-only? ->More than a vacuum without a dirty water tank, but really not that much. I can’t say I feel a noticeable difference in the time I spend on it compared to the Q Revo and J7 I had before. There are more parts, but the vacuum is designed quite well, so all remove/replace operations are easy. The house is mopped 3x a week and vacuumed 5x/week. This is what I do every weekend: - Empty and rinse the dock dirty water tank, fill the clean water tank, put both back. - Remove the vacuum from the dock. Take out and rinse the mop washing tray. - Take off the top cover. Take out dust bin, bang out the filter, rinse both and leave out to dry. - Take out the dirty water tank, remove the main filter and three small filter plugs, rinse all out and leave out to dry. Flip the vacuum upside down. - Take out the vacuum brush, remove hair from both ends, rinse and leave out to dry - Slide off the mop roller, rinse and leave out to dry - Remove side brushes, remove hair tangles, put back on - After a few hours of drying time, reassemble everything. I also plan to take out and clean the caster wheel once every couple of months, but haven’t gotten to that point yet. So far, these operations take me maybe 15 minutes once a week, probably less.
r/RobotVacuums • Roller-Mop Robot Vacuums? Or mop-only? ->I've just gone for the S1 Pro on discount. It's been around for a while and there are a significant number of independent reviews on it. The E28 may be great but there hasn't been enough time to see what issues come up, and I wasn't prepared to take that gamble.
r/RobotVacuums • Is eufy E28 good? ->I understand your pain - of all the home appliances and technology I've done research on before purchase, robot vacuums have been the most bewildering. A few factors here include: * The sheer number of features they have * Robot vacuums that perform well in some household conditions are sometimes badly tripped up by others * Several brands (especially Roborock) have a ridiculous amount of models, differentiated by a single letter * Most of the leading brands are new and the track record of customer service and reliability is often patchy * The social marketing strategies of companies are sophisticated and can appear to be independent reviews, comments etc. As best I can tell, more money doesn't *always* equal better cleaning - but it does buy models that are better at self maintenance, and have better object avoidance. Note "object avoidance" is different to "navigation" and the mapping of floors. If you have a dog with a dodgy tummy, object avoidance goes up the priority list. I ended up getting an Eufy S1 Pro - that's partly because we only need it for hard floors and pet hair, and not carpet where it doesn't perform as well; and partly from anecdotal comments that they have ok customer support (relatively speaking). Have only had it for a few days but so far so good. Otherwise I would've gone a Roborock but you really need to know the *exact* model name you want. One decision I'm happy with is that I bought my robot vacuum from a physical retailer with a good reputation for customer support and returns. For me, there were just too many stories of issues to risk buying on, e g., Amazon and then being at the mercy of the manufacturer after 30 days. I know that doesn't provide you with all the answers but hope that helps with your decision.
r/RobotVacuums • I came to read and am more confused than ever ->I have both and am currently testing both. They really don't directly compete. The S1 Pro is a very good mop, but because it holds dirty water that also contains solids it means a good bit more maintenance that needs to be performed on the robot and quite frequently imo. Besides that the vacuum performance is nowhere near as good as Roborock and there is a missed opportunity with the square design to not have a large brush roller up front. Instead it is centered and small. Object avoidance works pretty good. The app is decent but is real basic with not a lot of options to change. The accuracy of zone cleaning is wildly off. With that said Eufy is making some impressive products lately.
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->Each have their drawbacks. The S1 is going to require more maintenance with the mop and the edge mopping is not included. In the middle of the floor a roller mop is usually better than dragging a mop cloth along. As far as getting a better mop why not the Qrevo? It is closer in price. I posted this earlier on another post, so this is a copy and paste but good to understand about robots in general. Robot vacuums and mops today are not intended to deep clean your floors or carpets. They are meant to help keep your floors clean inbetwen a deep cleaning with a mop and large vacuum for carpet. Next is with edge cleaning and no robot does this very well. I think a QRevo along with a Dyad Pro and a upright vacuum like a Dyson if you have carpet is the best combo imo. The Dyad will get under cabinets and also closer to the baseboard much better than any robot not to mention scrub the floor much better. If you have carpets you need the powerful vacuum motor in an upright to get deep into the carpet and along the walls. Almost all robots have the roller in the middle and about 8 to 10 inches away from the edge of the walls in a carpeted area. Side brushes are not effective for anything other than something laying on top of the carpet
r/Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->While I have not tested the S10 I have tested the S1 Pro. Here are my thoughts for comparison. 1. A roller mop on a robot will mop better and clean better that a spinning or vibrating mop. 2. A roller mop will require a good bit more hands on maintenance than a spinning or vibrating mop since it remove dirt and debris from the floors it has to have a filter inside that must be cleaned by hand. For the S1 this was every 2 cleanings of my home. 3. A roller mop does not have edge cleaning abilities. The S1 Pro is much closer than the Switchbot which is pretty dismal with edge cleaning. 4. IMO you are better buying a Qrevo S or Pro and supplementing with a Flexi or Dyad mop which mops better than any robot and has the best edge cleaning ability. I actually tested this theory yesterday. I had spilled dried up coffee stain under the kickplate of my kitchen cabinets. The S8 MaxV with the side mop barley touched it. The Qrevo MaxV did little to nothing with it. The Dreame X30 and X40 did nothing with it. The S1 Pro could not reach it. I broke out the Flexi Pro and it removed it all in 3 passes. People really overthink mopping and edge mopping with a robot. They spend crazy money and go through all types of effort in attempt to have a robot completely replace mopping by hand. Robots at least today don't effectively replace deep mopping. They are designed to keep the floors clean in between deeper mopping once or twice a month thus your floors appear to remain clean daily with less effort than hand mopping daily. If you are going to buy a roller mop and go through the same maintenance you have to perform with a Flexi Pro or Dyad Pro then why not just use a Flexi Pro and a Qrevo. To me that is the best combo and best way to keep your floors completely clean. I have said this for years.
r/Roborock • New SwitchBot S10 Robot Vacuum ->eufy pro s1 is a combo and it is very good!
r/RobotVacuums • Wirecutter says don't get a robot vacuum-mop combo. Do you agree? ->Probably not, i got it for 1k over the last Amazon prime day.
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody looking to buy Black Friday/Cyber Monday? ->I got Eufy S1 pro recently and love it.
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendations for a Vacuum/Mop for a Busy Household ->I have a Eufy L70, and other than having to replace the battery after three years, it worked really well. Would clean 1000 sq/ft on one charge (but barely). I put the L70 downstairs and bought a C20 for upstairs, as I wanted a better mopping experience (automated). Honestly, it was horrible. Battery would die after 45 minutes of cleaning, on STANDARD suction. It would travel five feet, and then do an entire spin, or two, then go another five feet and do it again. And this was after creating the map and already having cleaned a few times. It's like it never learned and always forgot where it was. Suction was poorer than the L70, for sure. I'll give it to Eufy, though, they offered a full refund and pre-paid label to send it back, which I did. I thought about the X10 as a replacement as it had better reviews, but I finally opted for the S1 Pro during this Black Friday sale. Reviews were very positive about it and it seems like it will last longer than the C20 and perform better.
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody looking to buy Black Friday? ->I agree. So does my eufy s1 pro. VacuumWars rocks.
r/RobotVacuums • Wirecutter says don't get a robot vacuum-mop combo. Do you agree? ->We have an eufy s1 pro and a shedder and an eleven year old. We love it. Our 1k sq ft of tile love it. It does great on rugs. I can’t compare it - it’s our first machine.
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendations for a Vacuum/Mop for a Busy Household ->Our Eufy S1 Pro does all that quite well.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum and Mop to Buy with Good Suction? ->We just bought a longish hair Moroccan rug and our Eufy S1 Pro took quite a lot of hair off of it. We made it a no go zone.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vacuums and Wool Berber carpet ->We have the Eufy S1 Pro. We’re quite happy with it except edging and some plated steel parts that come in contact with the water system and are rusting. The improvements that you outline are interesting and a good step forward.
r/RobotVacuums • Two weeks with the Eufy E28 ->Can’t comment on anything other than our Eify S1 Pro - we have 1500 sq ft or so of Mediterranean style tile with a sort of deep groove between each approx 12” x 12” tile and the mopping/ vacuuming is great. It’s our first robot so I can’t compare it to anything less.
r/RobotVacuums • Should I be considering any Robot other than the S9+? ->Last summer we bought the Eufy S1 Pro for the mopping / drying the mop feature along with the return to dump dirty water / rake in fresh feature and think it does a great job. The vacuuming is also very good. We only have small area rugs and almost 2k sqft of tile….. We don’t have long pile carpets and sand… I’d buy it again and I’d turn to Vacuum Wars to see what they say the next time I want to buy. Last thought: The next one I buy I want to be able to plumb it to a drain and a fresh water inlet. I also want a much larger vacuum “bag” or volume and a self-cleaning debris filter on the mop so the machine can be autonomous when I’m not there.
r/RobotVacuums • How do we feel about Vacuum Wars ratings? ->Hardwood floors are definitely where eufy S1 Pro shines. Its mopping does an excellent job on them. About the scratches, my floors only have a few near the front door, caused by shoes but not robotvac. You can set it from the app to vacuum first before mopping to ensure there’s no grit in the mop pads.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot mop and vac for hardwood floors? ->80% (for now) I’m sticking with the Eufy S1 Pro Omni. Those new releases look tempting, but without solid reviews I won’t jump on it.
r/RobotVacuums • So, with more and more roller/belt robot vacuums coming out, how likely are you to stick with the Eufy S1 Pro? ->Have a Eufy s1 pro and works great. Also have the same pup only 5 months old and she loves having clean floors.
r/AustralianShepherd • What’s the best robot vacuum cleaner? ->Eufy s1 pro
r/RobotVacuums • Is there a robot vacuum I don’t have to babysit? ->Only vac i that I don't have to pick up anything for. We have 2 cats and dog. You can set it up to empty dust bin sooner than later. Have ran it 25 hours and not any problems
r/RobotVacuums • Is there a robot vacuum I don’t have to babysit? ->True mopping is when you dip a clean rag in clean mop water and mop until your rag is smearing and then you rinse off your rag in a dirty water bucket, wring it out and re-hydrate in your clean bucket. Wash, rinse, repeat. There is nothing on the market save maybe the Eufy S1 Pro that can do this. It is well out of your budget. Just because your floors have an even color at the end of a mopping session does not mean they are clean. The reviews you see are correct.
r/RobotVacuums • Hard wooden floors - up to 400£ ->It has the most tested software, more so than the l40. 6400mah battery, 4.0l water bin, tricut brush that increases pickup, quieter than most robots, better price than any other. Really good mopping, auto cleans mop pads every x sqft. Good obstacle avoidance. Good carpet performance. Eufy s1 pro is a close second if mopping is what you’re looking for. However if you are looking for a robot that will last you time without wanting another (happens to all of us) for me the dreame x40 ultra scratched that itch. Sorry if you disagree, but I’ve had 4 robovacs and I am a software engineer. This is the most amazing piece of tech I have ever seen.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame x40 is currently the best vacuum out there. ->I agree. But I will say, I’ve had 3 roborocks, eufy s1 pro (temporarily) and the x40 was the best for me. I guess that’s all we can really do. Now I’ve only ordered over eBay for the x40 the rest were Amazon (I got a refurbished x40). And I’ve had issues. I guess the solution to the overarching message is: make these cleaners better, instead of suction, quality, I think the biggest innovation is going to be the roller mop. But time will tell.
r/RobotVacuums • Please help me choose my first robot ever. Lost between Roborock, dreame, Eufy, Shark? ->If obstacle avoidance is what you care about, I’d recommend eufy over Roborock. S1 Pro’s vacuum performance might not be the best out there, but it’s definitely good enough for daily cleaning. And getting it at this price is such a steal! I bought it without any discounts and even had second thoughts while waiting for delivery, thinking I spent too much. But thankfully, its performance, especially the mopping, completely won me over. My place is always nice and clean with it.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot Vacuum+mob cleaning should i buy for house mix with carpet and vinyl flooring, i need good obstacle avoidance too, which is the best for the price given ->I add a splash of mouthwash to the dirty water tank after every time I clean it. It makes a big difference in my opinion. The ozone cleaning on the S1 Pro only sanitizes the clean water tank, so it won’t make much of a difference for the dirty water tank and it still stinks.
r/RobotVacuums • Best roller mop vacuum combo ->Good to know! The S1 pro is clearly an awesome robot. Hard to argue that someone should pick it over the newer and less expensive E28/E25 though. They just have more features and better overall cleaning. That said, if I already had an S1 pro, definitely no need to upgrade.
r/RobotVacuums • Best roller mop vacuum combo ->It isn’t tho. Objectively. Mopping sure, vacuuming is garbage. Also maintenance is through the roof compared to a qrevo for example
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended robot vacuums in the past year ->Shame the maintenance and the shitty vacuuming
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended robot vacuums in the past year ->The only thing you mentioned about “your situation” is the type of flooring you have. Have you got kids? Or long hair people in the house or dogs or none of that? Are you messy are you tidy? I mean do you need the robot to be thorough with the carpet or with mopping or with obstacles avoidance. That’s what someone should say about their “situation”. The S1 pro is a nightmare for maintenance and vacuuming and hair tangling is very poor. Mopping is excellent. And the OA is pretty good. The 10R is a good all around and unless you have dogs with muddy paws every day or walk with shoes inside the house then I hardly doubt you will notice any difference in mopping between eufy and this one. Another alternative is the QRevo Edge or Curv or CurvX.
r/Roborock • Help me choose between Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy S1 Pro for a house (carpet & laminate flooring) – Any other suggestions? ->Alright then if you don’t mind about the maintenance on the S1 pro then it doesn’t get better than that mopping wise. You could also check S1 which has a bit worse obstacles avoidance than the pro and it’s a bit cheaper. Another one with roller mop is the Z50 from mova. They have excellent price per value. Another one with roller is ecovacs X9 or E25 and E28. IMO I would stay away from ecovacs their navigation app and mapping history has been shit through the years, it’s somewhat better now but you still see people with those issues.
r/Roborock • Help me choose between Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy S1 Pro for a house (carpet & laminate flooring) – Any other suggestions? ->Returned an Irobot i4 +evo and got the eufy S1 pro, glad I did. I have also owned two other robo vacs before this and dont notice the vacuum function issues mentioned but I dont doubt them, just dont worry about that. The hard floors shine, I do notice that. Paid $1010 plus tax after waiting on the Amazon sale in October.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 pro on sale for $1200-worth it? ->Stick with Eufy, it's the absolute king on smooth floors. And since you're more inclined to mop, the S1 Pro can even clean larger dog paw prints in one go.
r/RobotVacuums • high-end vacuum mop combo robot? ->Absolutely love my Omni S1 Pro and Q5 Pro.
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed the 25 most recommended robot vacuums on Reddit ->The omni is excellent at mopping and cleaning, good edge clean and obstacle detection. It’s very quiet too. The Q5 is good on carpet, much cheaper but needed it for upstairs where there’s mostly carpet. The apps good on both too. I came from a 7 year old Neato D7 that had gone senile so a bit of a jump!
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed the 25 most recommended robot vacuums on Reddit ->If you have mostly tile or hardwood floors I would go for the eufy otherwise the qrevo curve if mostly carpet. I’ve had my s1 pro for about a month and it does great!
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum Mop Combo: Eufy Omni S1 Pro vs Dreame X40 Ultra vs Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Other? ->The eufy Omni S1 Pro is currently €899 in Europe and has less mop pressure.
r/RobotVacuums • Is eufy E28 good? ->Eufy Omni S1 Pro, E25, and E28 have a roller mop. Eufy X10 Pro Omni and Clean L50 (the ones he listed) don't. Ecovacs Deebot T80, X8, and X9 and Mova Z50 and Z60 also have a roller mop.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame, Roborock, Mova, or Eufy? ->I have a golden retriever with unlimited hair. It’ll be fine. Just take out the roller mop every few months and remove the fur
r/RobotVacuums • high-end vacuum mop combo robot? ->How long have you had it? That sounds like a lot. The red water filter is what I need to do first (muddy paw prints)
r/RobotVacuums • high-end vacuum mop combo robot? ->My main point is that if you’re not going to use it every day, the mid-range models might offer the best value rather than splurging on extra tech that you may never use. I went through a similar decision when I moved into my large apartment with mostly hard floors. I played with the Eufy Omni S1 Pro and a couple of Dreame models, trying to balance scheduling features with solid cleaning performance. I’ve tried Roborock and Dreame before, but ConsumerRating helped me decide when comparing their strengths for scheduled cleaning. My main point is that pricey models may have fancy extras, but they might not be worth it for your setup.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum and mop combo during president's day sale ->I'm a big fan of my Eufy Omni S1 Pro
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum has the most robust software? ->Only a week. So far, yes.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum has the most robust software? ->Just bought a eufy s1 omni pro. Super excited lol
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody looking to buy Black Friday? ->My house is all hardwood and the one knock the Eufy Omni S1 pro had was that it wasn’t as good on carpet as the other robots, but it seemed to score better on hardwood than the rest. My home is a little bigger than yours, 1 floor. I was in your situation of bogged down by research and whatnot, finally said fuck it and got the Eufy and it far exceeded anything I could have imagined. We open all the doors once biweekly and let it double mop the whole house, otherwise vacuum and mop as needed. It cleans everything very well with the mop roller and doesn’t leave any streaks. It’s really good at avoiding obstacles. I tell everyone with all hardwood to just get the Eufy
r/RobotVacuums • Choosing a car was easier than choosing a robot vacuum ->We have had our s1 for a week. So far it's doing a 'good' job. It doesn't quite get into all the corners or hard against some cabinetry/walls but it is pretty good. The mopping appears to be very good and the state of the dirty water that you tip out is purely revolting which tells you it's doing its job. We haven't had an issue with a lack of sucking on our hardwood floors, but to be fair haven't really tried on the carpet in the bedrooms. We were having an issue with the unit not wanting to disengage off the dock which the official solution was sticking opaque sticky tape over the fall sensors which I thought was a pretty poor and unprofessional solution. Especially for the cost of the machine.
r/RobotVacuums • Is eufy Robot Vacuum/Mop Omni S1 Pro the best? What are your gripes with it? ->My S1 Pro does a good job on my two low pile rugs. I don’t doubt the qrevo curve would probably do better, but the S1 does a good enough job, and then when you factor in how incredible the S1 is on hard floors, I don’t regret my decision at all.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum Mop Combo: Eufy Omni S1 Pro vs Dreame X40 Ultra vs Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Other? ->I’ve owned Roborock Q Revo, Eufy X10, and currently have the S1 Pro. S1 Pro and it’s not even close.
r/RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->The mop is simply vastly superior. It has ozone cleaning which acts as a disinfectant, the roller design vs the two spinning pads covers more area, automatically dispenses the cleaning solution, and cleans the mop while it’s mopping. There’s a few reviews about it on YouTube that’ll be more concise.
r/RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->Hmm, I’m the opposite. Best robot vacuum I’ve owned and haven’t had any issues. The lifting chassis has been a game changer as well, hasn’t got stuck once, can make it into my bathrooms, and vacuum very high pile rugs. I also use the mopping solution and am very satisfied, everytime I change the water tanks I can tell it’s working and there aren’t any streaks, even on the edges by my floorboards. I have hardwood floors though, so maybe that makes a difference. Send it back and try something else! Maybe the Eufy S1 Pro Omni would be good for your situation, its mopping abilities are the best by a mile.
r/RobotVacuums • Review: ROBOROCK Qrevo Curv is a massive disappointment ->I have a long haired girlfriend and a golden retriever. I've had zero issues with hair getting into places it shouldn't. I often need to clean the tray where the robot washes its mop, as hair gets into the mop and is deposited there after washing. But I just run my fingers over it and take it to the trash. I'm very pleased with the S1 Pro. The basic functions are excellent, no need for fancy features.
r/RobotVacuums • high-end vacuum mop combo robot? ->Eufy S1 Pro was my choice after an extensive analysis. I have all tile floors and no carpets. Have 1 long haired dog and one long haired girl. Vacuum is on medium suction (setting 2 out of 4) and very please with the mopping. Mopping was my main goal.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum cleaner for wooden floor and no animals ->The new eufy Omni S1 Pro constantly cleans the mop, which is far superior to any other mop. I’m waiting for others that have better vacuums to copy this feature before buying.
r/Roborock • Best Robot Vacuum + Mop for Pet Hair? ->\[Final Update\] Thanks Everyone for the recommendation 😁👍👍 I've had the Eufy S1 Pro for about 4 days now and can definitely say that I am impressed compare to the roombas (j7+ & 405) I've been using. The mopping roller definitely does a good job cleaning the dirt stuck in the grain of the wood floors and on my textured vinyl floors. The obstacle avoidance has been fantastic. The app has identified multiple areas with hanging cords except for the small ones that are just laying on the floor corner which I created a do not go zone to avoid. The only cons I have is that the vacuum roller is significantly smaller than the mopping roller so it doesn't pick up everything before it vacuums even with the two spinning brushes. Also, the vacuum isn't really the strongest unless it's on the highest setting which makes the device quite loud. Other than that, it's been a fantastic unit. I just wish these robot vacuum bases had much larger clean water and dirty water tanks so I wouldn't have to change them out almost everyday.
r/RobotVacuums • [Help] What robot vacuum to pick from bestbuy.com under $800? Coming from the Roomba 405 ->Already having the Eufy L60 SES for our Upstairs, carpet only area, I was looking into buying something for our downstairs and looking at the S1 Omni Pro due to it's mopping and also as we were already in the ecosystem, but it's lacklustre carpet cleaning and it's inability to do vac or mop only were a big no for me, being that half my house is carpet while the other half are tiles (And having 3 cats + 1 dog), so we opted for the X8 Pro Omni instead and I have been VERY happy with it. Our floors are always clean and the extendable mop means the corners and our skirting is cleaned too. I believe we have made the right choice. In saying that, if somebody had all hardwood floors and no carpet, I would likely recommend the Eufy over the Ecovacs as the carpet features aren't an issue in those households.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for feedback on Ecovacs deebot X8 pro omni vs Eufy S1 omni pro vs Eureka J20 robot vacuum mops ->I have not noticed any excess water left behind on the X8 but you can adjust the amount used or leave it to AI to determine. I am unsure whether the Eufy has the same ability. I think, based on your situation, that the Eufy might be better suited as you don't need the improved carpet cleaning and the Eufy has a larger mop head. It may not get the corners as it doesn't extend out but you can always do a manual mop once a week. Our robovac doesn't replace our cleaner who still comes in once a fortnight for a proper deep clean of the hose either.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for feedback on Ecovacs deebot X8 pro omni vs Eufy S1 omni pro vs Eureka J20 robot vacuum mops ->Vacuum wars is not trusthable anymore. S1 pro is still really a good choice
r/RobotVacuums • high-end vacuum mop combo robot? ->The S1 pro is good at mopping and obstacle avoidance, but its performance and features scores were nowhere near other flagships, it also tended to get stuck a lot, it is currently ranking #26
r/RobotVacuums • Thanks r/RobotVacuums! - Major Update on the Vacuum Wars Top 20 List Changes ->s1 pro is purely amazing imho.
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended robot vacuums in the past year ->I had the Roborock Qrevo Pro and it vacuumed well and emptied itself. I ended up taking it back because, though vacuuming is part of the priority, the main priority is mopping for me. The Roborock doesn't actually pick up the mopping water, so basically just pushing around what it already mopped until it gets back to its station to clean itself. So in areas like my laundry room with tile the dirt would catch on the edges of the tile leaving a residue that made the floor looking dirtier than it was previously. I've done a bunch of research, and I will be getting a eufy with the Hydrojet system. I have 6 dogs (2 of which are Great Pyrenees), so there's LOTS of hair, but my rumba does an ok job with that when it works more than once a day. BUT the dogs also bring in icky paws at times, so I really want a robot one that cleans and sucks up its dirty water and continuing to clean with fresh water. The eufy's fit the bill. I currently have a CrossWave cordless max wet dry vac, which cleans with fresh water and vacuuming up the dirty water, and though it's not a robot it provides the type of clean floors that I'm looking for in a robot vac as well. The eufy was the only one that I saw that operated in this way.
r/RobotVacuums • I just want the best robo vac available and the research is killing me ->I'm a eufy enthusiast. They're quiet and affordable. We're about to upgrade to a self emptying one in our main room.
r/germanshepherds • Recommendations on a Robot Vacuum ->Eufy makes great ones and has a very easy app to use. Get one with the emptying station and you can leave it untouched for months. Be sure to follow maintenance recommendations - clean out dust bin every N hours, that sort of thing. If you go that route and have a dog (or kid) that sometimes leaves a mess that would make a bigger mess getting vacuumed, time the scheduled cleanings for after you've been around and had the chance to pick up small stuff and make sure there's no messes.
r/CleaningTips • Is robot vaccum worth it for those without animals that shed a lot ? And just in general for cleaning /mopping floor? ->Gentle cleaning can make some of the parts last longer than they say - in particular the ones with soft rubber/silicone seals. I bought generic (non Eufy brand) bags for my self-emptying station and they work great.
r/CleaningTips • Is robot vaccum worth it for those without animals that shed a lot ? And just in general for cleaning /mopping floor? ->
