They had to send me a replacement for a battery issue and seems like the replacement has the same problem. The detangle brush is not that effective and we don't have any pets. I find myself cleaning the brush for tangled hair even after running the "empty dust" multiple times like they advised. I was happy with the vacuum and mop at the same time and the app control but the battery does not seem to be satisfactory. Goes from 100% to 9% after vacuuming and mopping 300ish sqft on max suction and deep clean mode. Still on the edge if I want to keep it or return. This is my first robovac too.

Getting defective units twice is not a good sign. I also have an issue where it completely drains battery less than 24hrs of unplugging the base station. It was mentioned in the safety manual to unplug base station when not in use, so I did when I was away. Had 0% when I wanted to turn it on after 3 days. Repeated the test and eufy sent a replacement citing it's defective but the new one has the same two issues.

Got mine for 600 I'm still learning the app and testing out the robot, but so far I really like it. I haven't run a full cleaning session yet, but i did make it clean my bedroom and the hallway separately. Once vacuum only, once mop only each time. Pro's: Obstacle avoidance and navigation is great. it docks even though i put it at a very tight edge and corner of the apartment. It is relatively quiet. the mapping works well. Overall it's a pretty hands-off experience Cons. The app could be more intuitive imo, but others seem to find it easy to navigate, so this might be up to taste. Also personal circumstance but be sure to measure the height, mine cannot go under the couch and tv furniture because the lidar sticks out.

We got the Eufy x10 pro during the prime sale on Amazon Germany (as it was way cheaper then) it has changed everything. we nick named it Floornet, and floornet goes out every night. When the youngest destroys the place with food, just send it around that part. Our's is all tile but we have a runner at the back door and hallway and never have a issue with it. Amazon France have it for €616 but only one is stock. Amazon Germany won't ship it to ireland now.

I find the mop great. no issues at all. we have a bit of difference between the hall and sitting room. We got wooden floor down a few weeks back and it deals with is no issue. As for what I paid....€533.04. I got it through my amazon Germany business account with prime (also got two bottle of eufy cleaner free as well)

The other recommendations here are terrible. I would strongly recommend watching a bunch of reviews online and cross reference against your priorities. This subreddit seems to have a lot of folks who just ignore the OP and suggest whatever they've used and enjoy irrespective of what the OP wants. Guessing you're looking for the most well regarded high end robot vacuums and mops. If you don't need to mop, then buying high end isn't even worth it. My suggestions are Dreame L20 or Eufy X10 Pro Omni. Both have solid apps, great obstacle avoidance, solid vacuuming, and solid mopping. Or try the higher end Dreame robo vacs if you're looking for a smaller dock footprint. However, I would suggest getting these vs any newer Dreame units because they'll give you 90% of the performance for 1/2 the price.

I had the Eufy X10 Pro Omni, and while its hardware was great, the software was a disaster. Each firmware update made it more and more unreliable and glitchy, until I got fed up and returned it. I cannot imagine the software of the E28 being any better, but don't have first-hand experience with it.

I just got the x10 and I really like it! It does a pretty good job picking up things other robo vacuums struggled with (like cat litter). It does leave behind smaller dust particles but I’m a clean freak and am used to my Dyson vacuum and its head attachment with the green LED beam lol. The mop feature also works pretty well for general cleaning, although struggles with larger stains if they’ve dried a bit. EDIT: I think there might still be a promo right now on amazon to get it for $550 if you’re a Prime member and apply a coupon code from CNET (I think it’s eufyx10pro)

It didn't work in our house. We've dogs and cats that leave kibble around. And the eufy X10 pro wasn't able to pick it up, and often thinks it's a wall.  It was the main reason we had splurged for it so was quite disappointed.

Our kibble is a little on the bigger side but I was stil shocked that the X10 couldn't pick up a single piece of it, and actually thought it was a wall if there was like 3 or 4 pieces in a line!

would the dreame x40 be worth it over L20? its 500eur more expensive in my country. I mostly have hardwood floors, and want good mopping and good suction (I bought eufy x10 pro omni for my parents, and tested it in my house where i also have a labrador dog, and it left some hair on the floor - single hairs, not bunched up together). So im tempted to try dreame, and idk what model would be good for my needs.

I don’t think Yeedi will be very popular here, and Ecovacs's software isn’t impressive. The Eufy X10 Pro and Roborock Qrevo Pro might better meet your cleaning needs, but if you want to avoid situations where you’re always rescuing the vacuum, I would recommend Eufy’s obstacle avoidance performance.

Since you only have hardwood floors, I’d recommend the Eufy S1 Pro. It mops significantly better than any other robovacs since it has a rolling mop that’s constantly cleaned while it runs, with dirty water/debris being squeegeed off into its onboard dirty water tank. With little ones around I assume you deal with a lot of spills and other small messes that get on your floors, so it’s worth mentioning that the S1 is also the only currently available bot that can clean up entire spills while leaving nothing behind. I had mine clean up eggshells and egg whites/yolk a few days ago—handled it with no problem and cleaned it all up perfectly. It also has excellent obstacle avoidance, so no pre-cleaning is required. For your most important floor I can’t think of a better option. For your other floors though, I’d suggest the Eufy X10 Pro Omni. It’s fairly priced at $799 and can often be found with discounted pricing. It also has extremely good obstacle avoidance and very good vacuuming and mopping performance. It’s also got a built in detangler so it should handle your dog hair fine. If you don’t need mopping on all your floors, something even cheaper like the Eufy L60 ($279) would be a good option since it also has a blade on the base to remove tangled hair. No obstacle avoidance though. Alternatively, there’s also the Dreame L10S Ultra which is similar to the X10 in features, obstacle avoidance and performance, but can often be found for a little cheaper. At the moment it’s $659 from Dreame. That would be another good option for your other floors. Hope this helps!

I typically hate JustADad's reviews because he never seems to know what he's doing and never keeps things a 1:1 comparison, but his review of the E28 shows it being terrible on carpets. Other reviews mention it's not great at vacuuming either. After my X10 with AI avoidance ran over poop, I wouldn't trust it on that front either. I went with the Mova P50 Ultra Pro and it'll be here today since I need something that vacuums better first, mops better second. My X10 was sufficient mopping for me, so I'm sure this will be even better in that regard.

I had my X10 for a little over a year and overall I was alright with it, but I did notice the issues you mentioned. The software, specifically, is trash and remained trash up until it died. From firmware breaking mopping usage to maps "magically" expanding zones on its own, while failing to go to a previously occupied spot after the obstacle was removed (ex. left a laundry basket on the floor when it mapped, moved the basket and it would "see" that it was no longer there, but never actually vacuum that space.) The room dividing was equally useless and it never let me actually divide what I needed to. The amount of times I had to re-create my whole schedule because I had to merge and try dividing a room is impossible to keep track of. The mopping was ok when the firmware didn't completely cripple the water output. I went to the Mova P50 Pro Ultra and it's a night and day difference. Vacuuming leaves my floors spotless (while running on standard suction bs constant turbo on the X10) and mopping actually applies an even coating of water while settings allow the robot to not only slow down but perform even tighter lines than the X10 did on deep. The app is fantastic, and it mapped my house almost perfectly the very first time and even called rooms by their proper names and added furniture. The room it did combine incorrectly, I was able to divide without issue, unlike the X10. Basically, at the time the X10 was good. Seeing how good the P50 is though, for about the same price, there's zero reason to go with the X10.

Using one site to base that on is not exactly an end all. I've had mine for over a year and I'd go as far to say they have a defective unit, as mine routinely picks up 99% of cat litter on my bare floor and leaves my entire house devoid of anything hard to step on while barefoot. The mopping, while temporarily crippled by software, works fine once you have them move you to another firmware and I've had no problem getting it to mop dried on juice off my light colored floor. I do agree the software is a PITA and you shouldn't have to argue with them about firmware, but seeing those cleaning photos on RTING's site, either their tests are useless for real world or they had a defective unit. Mine cleans much better than that.

I don't know, maybe I have the golden one then. Every night when I go to bed the cats kick out so much litter I can't walk barefoot, and last night they shredded a cardboard scratch pad and left bits everywhere. I woke up this morning and everything was gone and I walked into the laundry room where the litter is barefoot. I also dumped a dark beer and orange juice on my light gray floor and dried it with a hair dryer to test. Mopped it off no problem.

Wow this sucks...I haven't had this experience at all, quite the opposite actually. And I have pets and a 'long haired' partner 😐 My take on the Eufy products: I have 4 x X10 (yes, 4), 1 x X9, 1 x L60 and 2 x S1 and just pulled the trigger on a C20. IMO, best obstacle avoidance in the business (Eufy makes cameras so the R&D was already there). Should the robot gets stuck it's for 2 reasons: 1. the mapping isn't done when the house is vacuum proofed (item picked up). 2. the house is messy beyond help... Regarding support, Eufy's is litterally the best in the business. Period. They've.always been quick, efficient and polite during the rare occasions where I had issues (S1 was leaving droplets after cleaning). Also Eufy sells the best 'mid-high range' and high range mops in terms of performance AND value. By this I mean that Dreame X40 is probably slightly better given it's extendable mops. But then agains its twice the price. And at a slightly lower price, the Eufy S1 blows it out the water in terms of mopping performance (X40 is significantly better at vacuuming though). The drawbacks: Vacuuming performance on carpet is Eufy's Achilles' heal for HYBRID ROBOTS. This distinction must be made because to be fair, their 'vacuum only' robots are as excellent as they are affordable. In the case of hybrids (X10, S1 and C20) it is 'ordinary at best'. It works fine - don't get me wrong - but 'fine' is as good as it's gonna get. I run multiple passes and this mostly takes care of the weaker vacuuming performance. I believe this is due to the roller itself, which is also much narrower than what the competition offers. Interestingly, the roller mop on the S1 takes *the whole width* of the robot. They should apply this design to the vacuum's roller too. That being said, Eufys are interesting as they're better than the some of their parts. And by this I mean that their excellent mopping abilities combined with their 'ok' vacuuming performance does make them *very good* over all, while providing excellent value. IMO, here's the best bang for your buck (i.e: value) with BF's discounts, in this specific irder order: 1. Eufy C20: good vacuum and mop according to reviews. MUCH cheaper by a 1000 miles, basic navigation (not the best if you have pets but will be more than enough otherwise). I also like the fact that they brought the 'hairy roller' back. Rubber rollers don't tangle as much but if you deal with short hair it should be excellent. 2. Dreame X40 Ultra (biggest discount, extendable arm and mop pads). 3. Dreame L40 Ultra (latest and greatest, same concept as the X40 without the dirt detect feature. Smaller battery, slightly lower suction but same real life performance. Navigation seems to be slightly better, although the X40 as a slight edge with object avoidance). 4. Eufy X10: Best all arounder by far. Great in corner, fantastic obstacle avoidance. Water tanks could be a tad larger and mop pads are not as 'squishy' as the X9's. I sometimes feel like it could use more water, which is something that I wasn't noticing with the now discontinued X9 (Eufy, if you're reading this, bring the X9 back at the same price as the C20 please!). 5. Eufy S1: if your primary requirement is the best mop in the business. Super quick too and unbelievably efficient with water. The X10 is significantly better in corners though and a bit better on carpet. Also the S1 requires a bit more maintenance (nothing problematic). Although I wish the base station was shorter and wider to accommodate for larger and wider water tanks. The tanks are pretty narrow and not as easy to clean, which is noticeable considering how much more grime the S1 is able to pick up compared to - well - ANY other other robot on the market today (the thing cleans the best by far. No comparison). Now, none of these robots are in the same category but we're talking *value*, not price. For unbiased info online (shocklingly hard to find), the best youtube channels IMO are "Justadad" and "Jamie Andrews". They both have amazing, non-sellsy no bullshit reviews. Good luck and let us know which bot you end up taking home :)

Run an empty the bin in the app to help clean the brush roller. You can also use the little tool that comes with the x10 Pro that helps pull the hair out as well as a brush on the other side. I have several different brands (I'm a hobbyist 😄) and these are my top picks looking at your budget. For a Vacuum only device I would suggest a Roomba j9+ non combo, it's an incredible vacuum and easy to maintain. I wouldn't suggest the J9+ combo though, for that then definitely the Eufy X10 Pro Omni. It is very impressive or the Eufy S1 which I think is the best Combo device available right now.

That's great to hear because the number one reason we returned our x10 omni was the complete and utter failure to ever empty out the dust bin. The pet hair just being too thick I guess (we have a malamute and a pitsky). What's the point of a robot if you have to manually get on your hands and knees and empty it out every 20 minutes? For us...it was a deal breaker. Anyway, thanks for what you do!

After several weeks of testing, I can say I’m extremely satisfied with the Eufy E25. The robot vacuums quietly and efficiently, and the overall cleaning result leaves nothing to be desired. Compared to my X10 Pro Omni, the E25 is significantly quieter during operation, which I really appreciate in daily use. I’m deliberately comparing the E25 to the X10 Pro Omni, since I see the E25 as its natural successor. Especially now that Eufy has clarified its product lines: With the S-series for high-end models, the E-series for mid-range, and the C-series as entry-level It’s clear that the E25 is positioned as the next step after the X10 Pro Omni in their lineup. One of the standout features is the upgraded mopping system. The new high-pressure mopping roller works brilliantly and applies noticeably more pressure to the floor. It cleans thoroughly without being overly wet and uses very little water overall, which I find better managed than on the X10 Pro. The dual-part roller brush is also a great improvement. During my entire test, it didn’t pick up or wrap a single hair. Everything was properly suctioned and removed. That’s a big plus for households with pets or long hair. Another highlight is the side brush that extends and reliably sweeps dirt even from deep corners. It adds real value to edge cleaning and ensures that no spots are left untouched. The water tank is transparent, which makes it easy to check the water level at a glance. However, the small filling cap on the fresh water tank makes cleaning the tank itself more difficult compared to the larger opening on the X10 Pro Omni. It’s a minor trade-off, but still something to note. As for design, the robot looks modern and clean, though the glossy surface picks up dust and fine scratches easily. Personally, I also prefer the hinged top cover from the X10 over the removable lid used here, since it felt sturdier and more user-friendly. For future models, I’d love to see more consistency in interchangeable parts. Standardized consumables like dustbags, HEPA filters, and brushes across models would make things much easier. Especially for people like me who own multiple Eufy vacuums. And while I don’t mind using Eufy’s own cleaning solution, I’d prefer a refillable tank instead of a cartridge that needs to be repurchased. All in all, the E25 has developed into a very strong and reliable product. It’s quiet, smart, and delivers excellent cleaning results both when vacuuming and mopping. I’m looking forward to using it long-term. If you’ve got questions, feel free to ask.

I just got a Eufy X10 Pro and its my first robot with the AI vision. I havent had a chance to test it with poop luckily but it seems scary good at identifying objects in front of it like cables, shoes, dog toys, it even identified our large dog scale as a scale (I have the robot in my animal shelter) and it tells you in the app where and what it it thinks it is and marks them on the map for you. so far it has not misidentified anything.

the X10 uses lidar to make an extremely accurate map of your space. Then in the app you can split the map into as many sections/rooms as you want. Then you can create scheduled cleanings per room, and give each room its own specific settings such as vacuuming twice on high power in 1 room and then vacuuming once on low power but mopping with heavy water usage in another room. Its incredibly easy to set up as well. you can also make "scenarios" which are like quick buttons for different things like if you want to manually run a deep clean in your kitchen after cooking so it will vacuum on high power, mop with heavy water use, and do 2 runs in a cross hatch pattern, then return home to empty itself and wash its mop pads. its a really neat machine.

I run my Eufy X10 Pro at the 2500 sqft animal shelter I work at. It’s 100% concrete floors, they are polished though so I’m not sure well regular concrete would work with the spinning pads. But I don’t think it could hurt to try out. It will still clean them better than just vacuuming alone.

Personally I dont think I will ever spend more than the $500 I purchased my Eufy X10 Pro for and that was an on sale refurb. Actually come to think of it none of my current robots were brand new. I've bought all 5 of my current active robots either used/refurbished from eBay. They've all worked great. Having purchased some of the lowest end robots and worked my way up to the X10 Pro I think you definitely get what you pay for, as is with most electronics. My X10 is clearly the better machine out of all of my lower cost robots.

If you're comparing this to a Dreame or the new S1 Pro from Eufy, please don't. Yes this robot is fantastic, but it still has its quirks. Coming from an initial G30 from Eufy, this is WAY better in terms of navigation. If you have a really messy house and expect it to sweep and clean your house like a professional maid, it won't.

Picks up small debris well for me on Turbo + cleaning intensity as deep + Walter level medium. Haven’t used Max yet. My scheduled use is kitchen floor every night and entire floor twice a week. Rest is as per need. In the morning the kitchen floor is super clean (it has light colored tiles). So that’s where my feedback is coming from. On more thing: I read in the manual that it is suggested to run vaccum and mop as a separate cycle for optimal results. Going to try this one soon to see if it makes any difference.

I have had nothing but issues with the Sharks I've had, and found that repairing them is near impossible because they make lots of tiny changes to make parts not interchangeable (even between seemingly identical models). We have shark stick vacs and a couple of shark robo vacs and have seen that issue with both. Its apparently a pretty common complaint from what I've seen online. Roborocks are pretty "rock" solid, so they get a solid recommendation from me. Our roborock has had much higher reliability vs our Shark vacs. Eufy is another solid option, and typically come in at a lower price-point vs roborock. My recommendation to the OP would be to look into the Eufy X10 Pro Omni. It uses both a camera and Lidar so it does a decent job of object recognition and avoidance, but also has the better routing that is commonly associated with Lidar devices. It is also quite a bit cheaper than the comparable options from Roborock.

I don't know the iRobot, but the Eufy X10 Omni pro that we got pulls up the mop when going over carpets. I haven't noticed any major wet spots on the carpet edges. We are very happy with it other than, as others have mentioned, it makes a lot of return trips to charge and clean the mops especially in the deep clean function. In regular clean mode, it usually makes it in one trip for several hundred square feet. We run it almost daily and don't really mind the return trips except to schedule it appropriately around the baby's sleeping time.

That's odd, mine picks up similar sized particles fine on tiled floor. I'm guessing you've checked the filter isn't blocked etc? Have you reached out to Eufy support? Mine has generally been pretty good. Its not great at doing the edge of the room so I do that once a week. Just about to test the S1 to see if it's any good.

I have had an X10 since launch. I did not read the review word for word, but appreciate the time and energy that went into it. I have not had the same experience myself. Suction is slightly better than my Roborock, cable ID capability is impressive. I have had it run over a cable once and never had it misidentify one. The circular pattern in the images above, I have not seen that myself. Sure there are things it misses. For example, mine struggles with small paper scraps. I also would like to see a product that can get under cabinets a little better, but overall the edge hugging function works really well for me. Lack of smart home integration (Home Assistant) is annoying. I have 2 dogs that shed frequently, with hard floors. I have not had the experience that you do. Mine runs the same time every day and does a pretty good job of picking up hair other expected items. I will admit that it does miss some things, but so has every other robo vac I have used. Your issue of it getting stuck in the kitchen, I have not experienced that myself. I will add that in the video of it getting stuck on the ramp, that looks like cardboard at the bottom, that appears weaker than the top part of the ramp, limiting it from pushing up the ramp. You tried to MacGyver a solution and are critical that it did not work. That is more on you than the X10. The bottom line of it is performance and experience with products is not always going to be consistent across a user base.

Wow, you guys are on a mission. The time you two are spending on this sub trying to sway people from buying this robovac (and go for some other brand) is astonishing. Your dedication is really admirable! I must have been really lucky because I've had my X10 for about two months now and it has performed very satisfactory up until now. It picks up about everything in it's path and has very thorough navigation, including climbing ramps. Maybe the trick here was to set some smart virtual barriers around it in stead of some carton boxes... Only quirk was a connection loss after a firmware update, forcing me to do a reset, causing me to lose the mappings. That only happened once though. I'm happy with it, maybe you had a bad batch or something?

Eufy c20 or x10 pro have a metal comb that removes hair when it auto empties at the base. The roller brush spins backwards and cause the metal comb to come into contact with the brush roller.

I have the nevertouch pro. It works well overall. It vacuums extremely well and the mopping is decent enough to maintain your floors. I would probably look into Eufys x10 pro Omni.

I just got the S1 to clean up after my German Shedder. Most of my house is hard wood so I cant speak to carpet cleaning but the S1 is great on bare flooring. Not sure how long the bag will last before full but if its like my x10's it will take a couple months. Stay away from the x10 as the hair gets pulled into the wheels and causes them to jam up and eventually break. They seem to have fixed this issue on the S1.

I'm not talking about the roller brush. I'm talking about actual wheels. there is a gap on the wheels that pulls hair into the wheel motor unit. This causes the wheels to jam and eventually break so the unit cant move anymore.

Recently I got a eufy x10 and it’s night and day different, the object avoidance on it is near perfect.. the only thing that has gotten it “stuck” is if it eats a nerf ball a kid left out and the roller brush can’t spin. For me, it didn’t so much save time, but did something that wasn’t being done as often as it should have been done. It now vacuums and mops twice a day, whereas it was being done every few days at most before..

hi i want to report that i have received the X10 this afternoon and set it up playing with it all night. I am actually extremely pleased with it! Well my last robo cleaner was a 4 years old Roborock S5, so it was not a high bar to clear. This is WAY better than the S5 though. the vacuum has been great on my hardwood and tile flooring, it picks up everything, and by the way, I only used standardn suction power, didn't bother with Turbo or Max, do you think that may contribute to the issues you have? Standard suction worked perfectly for me so far. but then again I have only had this for like 10 hours. additionally, the mapping was fast and accurate, the mopping is FANTASTIC! The hair tanglement is real though, there was A LOT my wife's hair tangled on the roller after it cleaned master bedroom and master bath, so I had to manually remove it. but everything else is great so far. i am expecting the performance to go down as the filer will become clogged and the door seal become deteriorated as you experienced. but so far I am loving it. My Qrevo Plus will arrive in a few days, I will compair the two soon. Man how robo cleaners have advanced in just a few years, this is night and day difference than my S5! My wife was even more pleased than i am!

hi thanks for the reply. i am still happy with the X10 for the 2nd day. it finally cleaned all areas of my 2800 sqft one-story house ( no carpet or area rugs thoughout tht house) and i am more than happy with the cleaning result as my floor has was pretty filthy, lol. That being said, but I did diligently clean the dustbin, filter, roller, and dustbin guard twice thoughout the long day of cleaning. what I found is that that "screen door" like mashed pre-filter is VERY EASY to get clogged with grime and dirt, and I would imagine it will totally block the airflow at one point. You have pointed this out already in your detailed review. Now i am almost 80% sure this is the culprit to the low suction reported by multiple users. Now, i am inclined to think this pre-filter is not really needed. My old S5 didnt have it and it had no issues. I will keep clean out prefilter once a while and hopefully wont experience the low suction issue.

hi i actually canceled Qrevo Plus on Amazon on Sunday night. because 1). setting up a robot along with testing through actual cleaning is VERY TIME CONSUMING, i simplely dont have time to set up and test a new robot, along with have to packing up one of them for returning. 2). so far i am actually very pleased with X10. Of course I am only 3 days into having this thing, so I can't speak for long term. But good thing is that Amazon's holiday return period is extremely long, I believe the last day of return is Jan 31, 2025, so I will have plenty of time to test the X10. Hopefully this thing keeps up its performance and I don't have to return it. I am too lazy to spend time shopping, along with setting up a new robot, making a cleaning schedule all over again, that is a whole weekend of work!

Still great so far. I have no complaints.  It actually exceeds my expectation. That been said, maybe other robots are just as good, but I didn't have chance to try others.  I want to mention that I run the X10 daily on schedules, and it has never been stuck even for once, isnt that amazing? The navigation and obstacle avoidance is truly amazing.  It is almost a true set and go experience. I say almost because the limiting factor is actually the capacity of the water tank, I have to fill the water daily with heavy daily usage.   I also clean the dustbin and filter to ensure maxium vaccume performance.

I’d recommend the Eufy X10. It has phenomenal obstacle avoidance. Like - phenomenal. It is a really solid vacuum. Nothing insane, but does the job much better than average. It also has pretty good mops. They work pretty well. Again, nothing insane, but does the job totally fine. But in your case if you want to get two they are $799 on Amazon (I’m sure you could find a sale or wait a bit, I just saw it on sale for $585) so not absurdly expensive like the dream x40 or anything like that. I have one of these and I’m a huge fan.

Excellent object avoidance. And I mean excellent. It does a great job mapping. Quality of the base station and the robot seem great. 8/10 app. I have a few features I’d like to see added but the app is more than adequate. I also had a good experience with Eufy customer support on something unrelated Seems to do a pretty solid job at both mopping and vacuuming. Nothing spectacular, but I vacuum once per day and mop 3 times per week. I don’t have a ton of hard floor though. It gets the job done, but I’m sure there are more “powerful” vacuums out there. That’s just a trade off for the more medium price range. I have had the vacuum for probably 6 months now and run it everyday. I do some minor maintenance maybe once per month. Just dusting off the cameras, cleaning the base station, etc. super easy.

Very good review. I had issues with suction, changed the filter. No suction issues. The filter is a hepa filter as fast as I know. It might look clean but it's not. It's caked in dust. Replace it. Navigation can be strange sometimes. I do find the ai camera thing just a marketing gimmick. It might recognise something but didn't seem to affect navigation at all. So like your ramp video, I found that navigation could be better. Overall I'm very happy with my X10 omni.

Imho all Roborocks listed above are overpriced and their object avoidance struggles on carpet with small items. Narwhal seems to have good object avoidance, but they were on sale for a much cheaper price before and their support is not great. Dreame L40 cleans good and object avoidance seems to be good, but apparently also has terrible after sales support. I used a Eufy X10, but despite the camera, it still picked up children’s toys occasionally from the ground and its vacuum performance was bad. S1 has the best mopping performance among all above (could be useful with the dirt children bring in), but it should have similar object avoidance compared to X10 and will catch small objects occasionally. It is also not great with lots of hair. I would recommend to get Narwhal from Costco around $1200 if object avoidance is important or a Dreame if you are ok with a lengthy warranty experience if things go wrong. If you are keen on Roborock and ok with its object avoidance limitations on carpet, a Qrevo Master could work under 1k.

This mirrors my experience with X10 as well. Some additional things to mention: 1- Because you have to use Max suction, the robot is extremely noisy. It is even noisier in standard mode compared to a Roborock or Dreame. Considering you have to run this all day long in a large house due to bad battery performance, hearing noise all day adds up. 2- The app itself has bugs and lacks some of the good features other bots have. For instance, It started resuming a task after recharging without the dustbin and filter installed (I was washing them). They simply forgot to add a check in the code, which shows how untested the product is. I submitted a bug and they since fixed this issue, but it is disappointing at this price range. Other issues I have found is the lack of “carpet first, mop later” setting and the bot ignoring DND hours (it only stops auto emptying during DND mode, but will resume vacuuming in the middle of the night. Did I tell you that it is noisy?)

Do not get X10 Omni. Just returning mine due to subpar vacuuming performance. Check Youtube Jamie Andrews for his test as well. Mopping and object avoidance is grear and customer service is responsive. However, after a device and numereous accesory replacements, my problems are not resolved. We need to vacuum after the robot is done, which defeats the purpose. It misses some bigger debris like lentils or bread crumbs while my 3 years old robot vacuum that costed $350 cleans it all. It also doesn’t clean kitchen baseboards properly, search on Reddit.

**Preface**: This is the first robot vacuum I have owned. I purchased this unit for $730.99 (including 2 bottles of cleaning solution) in total with taxes. My home has laminate flooring throughout. I do not have pets. **Initial Impressions**: Delivered through UPS, the packaging was secure and easy to open. The outer box is a standard brown cardboard box with a quick pull tab that separates the bottom half from the top half. I was greeted with another box but this time the actual Eufy robots' and docking stations' box. Again, very nice packaging and everything was securely in place. https://preview.redd.it/ez4oavb4nd5d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb67b6bef759a2ccda88500ec94f4554f0f83cb8 **Assembly**: The docking station assembly was straightforward, the only "assembly" was adding the ramp for the robot which clicks into place. There were some protective stickers to remove, however they were all labeled and easily spotted. The robot had a sticker covering the camera and lidar sensor, two pieces of styrofoam to prevent the bump sensors from moving during shipment, and larger stickers on the body to prevent scratches during shipment. The power cord was in a separate bag and plugged securely into the docking station. **Setup**: The setup was easy. I was instructed to place the robot in the docking station to charge via a manual obtained from Eufy's website scanned from a QR code. From there, I was able to download the app (eufy Clean) and the app size is 480.1 MB. On the app, I was instructed to pair the robot via Bluetooth. No complaints here. It was easy and connected the first try. I also was able to pair the robot with my Wifi network via the 2 Ghz band. The clean water reservoir is easily removed and I filled with purified water and the appropriate amount of Eufy's multi-floor cleaning solution. https://preview.redd.it/84xzevj2nd5d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9bf3254385989df81df2b37c59cdaf12c8c9f43f **Mapping**: In the app, I was greeted with "scenarios" that you can adjust to suit your cleaning preferences. It requires a full map of your home before you can utilize these. I went ahead with mapping and the robot came to life announcing what it is doing. I made sure to have any clutter on the floor picked up and off the robot went. Mapping was quick and efficient, updating real time in the app. Once the robot had made a complete map of the house, it returned to the station. **Cleaning**: You are able to customize the scenarios. I decided to place the "Full Home Daily Clean" on "Smart Mode". The robot announces it is starting cleaning and begins systematically cleaning each room. It will return on occasion to clean the mops. I hate walking barefoot in my house and feeling any kind of sand or grit on my feet, and after the initial cleaning, I did not have that problem. The mopping left the floors feeling clean and not sticky, which I was worried about. Overall, I would say it does a great job vacuuming and mopping the floors. **Navigation**: The robot takes pictures (If you allow it to) of any obstacle it encounters. So far, it has recognized shoes, a lamp base, and power cords. It actively avoids these and hasn't gotten stuck yet. I left a pile of dish rags on the floor when the robot was cleaning and it went around these but did not take a picture. It did get trapped one time due to it finding its way under my office chair, and I had to intervene. I haven't noticed any crazy bumping to where I would think it would cause damage to furniture. It does a pretty good job of knowing where it can't go before bumping something. https://preview.redd.it/7gghrbk6nd5d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=01791d594b9d118015f9f008e706ece5b186a62f **Overall Impression TLDR**: The Eufy X10 Pro Omni cleans my laminate floors very well. Its obstacle avoidance works as intended. The application is user friendly and allows for many different ways to clean your house. I currently have no complaints and would recommend this robot to others with a similar home to mine. Feel free to ask any questions. I will try to update with any issues that occur.

So far, so good. Sometimes it will find a loose sock or shirt, but that’s happened ~5-6 times. I run it everyday. The dirty water reservoir really gets nasty, but it is dirty water after all. I’ve kept up with general maintenance and there is no abnormal wear or tear. I’ve had to put up a no go zone for one of my bathrooms as there are floor mats it finds and will drag along. I don’t think that’s the robot’s fault, just the mats move around easily. As for the app, it’s super convenient and makes it really easy to manage zones/scheduling.

I didn't have much of an issue with performance but it was the navigation and getting stuck issue that stood out for me with this machine. I sent two back for the same reason. I switched to a roborock qrevo s which has marginally less stated features but actually effectively and efficiently navigates itself around.

We just got a Eufy S1 Pro. Unlike the Eufy X10 that we had before, it has a roller mop that's actually capable of soaking up wet messes. I poured a big puddle of tomato sauce on the floor to test it out, and it just sucked it all up. Also seems to be better at avoiding objects that could jam the brushes. According to reviews I watched before purchasing, it's pretty much the best on the market for hard floors (we also have no carpet in our house). Our floors are consistently very clean, and we have three sloppy kids plus two dogs that shed a lot.

Don't get the x10. I have two of them and I wish I could return them. Horrible product and I should have spent a little more for a roborock or dreame 1) horrible suction on hard floors. The x10 struggles to pick up cat litter and rice on hardfloors even in deep clean, max suction and 2 passes. They claim it has 8000pa of suction but the way that the brush guard seals to the ground results in none of that suction doing anything. My 2000pa $130 Wyze robot vacuum runs in my garage and it picks up gravel bits, screws, washers and debris that the eufy should be able to pickup but would never be able to. All while having an actual HEPA filter unlike the x10 2) bad dust bin design. The filter clogs within 5 cleaning sessions because no air flows in reverse through the filter during an empty cycle to clean the filter. Also the dust screen in front of the filter is basically useless. On the Wyze dust bin the mesh is much finer resulting in the filter lasting much longer. 3) horrible battery life. Since the suction is basically useless on hardfloors, forcing you to have to run it in max suction mode to get any cleaning, the battery drains so fast that it can't complete 300sqft without having to go back to charge. I start my vacuum at noon daily and it runs for under an hour before it goes back to charge, it then resumes cleaning at 5PM. So the battery is trash and takes forever to charge. 4) Braindead pathing algorithm. Almost every other day I will find my vacuum stuck on a sock or a wire and then I'll see it fail to get back to the docking station or go around in circles in the same area for no reason 5) Zero smart home support. There is no home assistant support and their existing Google assistant integration is useless. Eufy is not spending any resources on actually implementing any smart home support Please don't get an x10 and don't fall for all the astroturfing on this subreddit. Eufy has paid lots of reviewers and YouTubers to advertise their product and not spend any money on improving their half baked product. I've suggested improving the dustbin and brush guard and suggested solutions to their support and Eufy is not willing to implement any of them.

r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody looking to buy Black Friday? ->

So this is easily one of the most recommended mid priced vacuum because of its perceived value and Eufy really did bring a lot to the table with this product. With Black Friday coming around, people are recommending this vacuum left and right and I wanted to throw my experience with it out into the public. I watched countless reviews from Jamie Andrews, Vacuum Wars and looked around on this subreddit and came to the conclusion that the Eufy X10 might be the best Value robot vacuum with all of its features and decided to purchase my first on on May 10th, 2024 and my second one on June 4th 2024. After 350 hours of cleaning, [127 hours](https://photos.app.goo.gl/iFHv6AbKHnguRaEe7) on my upstairs x10 and [230 hours](https://photos.app.goo.gl/J4325ia8yiUMxzNp9) on my downstairs x10, I can say that the **Eufy X10 performs very poorly** and you are better off spending a little extra on the offerings from Dreame and Roborock. I bought this vacuum because I have 2 cats and some heavy allergies. I previously had 2 Wyze Robot Vacuums and they worked great but they lacked an auto empty system, mopping and didn't have obstacle avoidance which prevented me from running it on a schedule. After the Eufy x10 came out, it had all the things that my Wyze was missing and at a competitive price, undercutting the Qrevo and slightly undercutting the Dreame L10s Ultra when I was shopping around. And it had the best object avoidance which mattered a lot to me so I can run it daily without babysitting it. Ill start with the good things since this is a short list: 1. Mops well, floors feel clean and have stayed clean. For the money this is a great mop and does a great job at keeping our floors residue/dirt free 2. Good obstacle avoidance, I can run the vacuum daily and it works reasonably well avoiding cables, socks and cat toys. It will still eat the occasional sock or cable but it works decently well. 3. Good base station with easy to clean docking tray. The one piece tray is easy to remove and clean. I wish it was self cleaning like some of Dreame's docks but for the price, it is still great. 4. Decent carpet vacuum performance. Our carpets generally feel very clean and the vacuum does a good job at picking up pet hair and debris from carpets. Hard floors is a different story though... 5. Auto empty dock works well and reliably empties the dust bin every time. The dock has had zero malfunctions/issues since ive had it, I put a bit of Shark VacMop cleaner solution in the dirty and clean water tanks to help with cleaning and keep the dirty water tank from gunking up. 6. Eufy support is responsive and responds to tickets promptly and genuinely tries to be helpful And now the negatives: 1. Horrible hard floor performance even on Max suction, 2x Passes and Deep clean pathing. Both of my Eufy X10s have had the same poor performance since day 1 1. Filter clogs easily due to poor dustbin design 2. Brush guard seal wears quickly causing poor seal with hard floors 2. Poor battery life due to having to run the vacuum on max suction, 2x passes and deep cleaning to get any decent performance out of it and long recharge times. 3. Bad pathing, robot will frequently drive in circles, get stuck, refuse to find the base station and clean in a unsystematic manner 4. Non-existent smart home/Home Assistant support **1: Poor Hard floor performance:** [Here is a video](https://photos.app.goo.gl/GpTTrdmmYHRcc8yd7) of it running on a smooth tile floor in Max suction mode, Deep clean pathing and 2x passes. It runs right over the cat litter and **doesn't pick up anything!** [Eufy X10s failing to pick up cat litter on smooth tile floor in max suction mode with a clean filter](https://reddit.com/link/1gxu13s/video/vtbcyioiml2e1/player) Here are pictures of the clean filter and dustbin prior to sending it to clean that floor. [Eufy X10 dustbin and filter prior to cleaning cat litter on smooth tile](https://preview.redd.it/e5xz2wwvml2e1.jpg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de4cae589e82073b3a1aefb32b12b330630c2ff1) [Eufy X10 Filter prior to cleaning cat litter on smooth tile](https://preview.redd.it/5qihrvwvml2e1.jpg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02cb828046f349da97dc83ae5038977604e00fdd) For comparison, one of my Wyze robot vacuums now lives in my garage cleaning up saw dust, leaves, screws, concrete chunks, washers, road debris and other garage debris. Here is a [Video of the Wyze running in the garage](https://photos.app.goo.gl/nLLJD93Ft8RqdvGS8), compare that to [the video of my x10](https://photos.app.goo.gl/GpTTrdmmYHRcc8yd7) struggling to pick up basic cat litter on a smooth tile floor. [Wyze Robot Vacuum Cleaning metal washers, leaves and other garage debris on an abrasive concrete floor](https://reddit.com/link/1gxu13s/video/096804e6nl2e1/player) I ran the Wyze 2 times in my garage to see what it could pick up. Here is the debris from the first pass and second pass: [Garage Wyze Robot Vacuum, First Pass](https://preview.redd.it/9c9hfepinl2e1.jpg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=723939bfb739bd0a9c1d2d8a7a405bdfad306bcb) [Garage Wyze Robot Vacuum, Second Pass](https://preview.redd.it/ik4iyfpinl2e1.jpg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d0bf5d5eff749cf817c714c94a4ae3dce0c6c2d) The Wyze could pick up screws, washers and even a ring that my girlfriend lost a few days ago while the Eufy X10 couldn't even pick up cat litter! Also keep in mind that Wyze advertises "2000pa" of suction pressure while Eufy advertises "8000pa". Clearly the pressure ratings mean nothing, what matters is how efficient the filter and brush guard work with the vacuum motor. My experience with the Eufy X10 closely matches what [Rtings.com experienced with the Eufy X10](https://www.rtings.com/robot-vacuum/reviews/eufy/x10-pro-omni). It also matches the experience [Jamie Andrews had on hardfloors](https://youtu.be/ZvRaaol5LFA?si=qPYb846Jo9_K6-l7&t=221). I would like to hear how u/VacuumWars has found his unit has held up over the last few months, does he see similar performance? Edit: Another issue with the poor hard floor suction is that since the vacuum is not able to pick up small debris, there is a very high likelihood that that debris will be captured by the mop which will then rub that [abrasive debris into your floor and scratch them](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1gxe6h9/scratches_on_floor_from_eufy_x10/). All spinning mop vacuums are at risk of doing this, but the X10 is very susceptible to this since it fails to pick up small debris most of the time. **1.1: Poor dustbin/filter design** So one of the issues likely contributing to the poor hard floor performance is the bad design of the dustbin and filter. Here is what my downstairs (80% hard floor) x10 filter looked like 1 week after replacing it and running it daily: [Downstairs Eufy X10 13 Cleaning Hours after replacement](https://preview.redd.it/782cdr8pll2e1.jpg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=53002d834f6d76490ff1a5c98480ef8498dd3ac4) Keep in mind I have been running both of my Eufy X10s daily for the past few months so my floors are relatively clean, I also clean the filter weekly and replace it monthly. Here is the upstairs (90% carpet) x10 filter: [Upstairs Eufy X10s Filter 7 CleaningHours after replacement on 90% Carpet floors](https://preview.redd.it/10h2w9dtnl2e1.jpg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=777b5bb6663fa8026affe997d3c15e436c65fed3) In a sense, its good that the filter is catching this dust as the vacuum is able to capture it, but the issue is that the mesh screen is doing nothing to keep the filter from clogging. For comparison, here is what my Garage Wyze filter looks like after 5 cleaning cycles, keep in mind this vacuum lives in a garage picking up a lot of nasty things and its an actual [HEPA filter](https://www.wyze.com/products/wyze-robot-vacuum-consumable-hepa-filter): [Wyze HEPA filter after 5 garage vacuum sessions](https://preview.redd.it/e9dsseaynl2e1.jpg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5400855d3298cd1a2e414c2de1a52d7119370842) So why the large difference between the two? I think one reason is the mesh screen in the Eufy x10 is much larger allowing most particles through the bin and onto the filter while the Wyze has a much finer mesh and a HEPA rating, it also has a much larger dustbin than the Eufy x10. A possible solution for Eufy to implement is redesigning the bin so that when the Auto-empty cycle runs, have some air run backwards through the filter so that the dock can "vacuum" out the filter with each cycle. This would significantly extend the lifetime of the filter. **1.2: Poor quality brush guard** This is another issue that is likely contributing to the poor hard floor performance. The brush guard is a maintenance part according to Eufy and it has a rubber flap on it that aids with sealing the suction path to the floor: Here is how mine looked 1 week after replacing it: [Downstairs Eufy X10 Brush Guard 1 week after replacing it](https://preview.redd.it/2rk4phq4ll2e1.jpg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=446c85907ce1ea7854f85c0a034fe162b486600e) As you can see, its mangled up and tearing up. Prior to replacing i, that flap was completely gone. My Wyze robot vacuum also has a similar flap but its significantly more durable and has held up fine on the abrasive garage floor. Eufy lists the brush guard as a Consumable item replaced with standard maintenance and costs $13.99. I have a suspicion this is something they will not fix as they make money selling this part. For now I have used a piece of duct tape folded over itself sticking out exactly as far as the original part. Eufy claims this part should last 120hours, but mine degraded after 1-2 weeks which for me is \~20-30hours of runtime. My duct tape solution has been holding up fine and has helped the vacuum slightly with hard floor pickup. My Wyze brush guard has never been replaced and ive owned it for 2 years. It has zero sign of degradation and Wyze doesn't sell it as a consumable....wonder why... **2: Poor battery life** This is an issue also slightly related to the hard floor performance. The only way I can get decent performance out of my X10s is running them on Max suction mode, 2x Passes and Deep clean pathing. Without those settings, the vacuum will just push debris like rice around and not pick it up. This results in the battery draining like crazy. [Downstairs Area and Cleaning Time](https://preview.redd.it/vscnsy2all2e1.png?width=1344&format=png&auto=webp&s=4c25beb2e2a9dd41318cfd6834e5c7ef2691153b) My downstairs area is 473sqft according to the app and the app says it took 1hr 50mins to clean it in Max Suction, 2x Passes on hard floors, and Deep Cleaning Pathing. What it doesn't mention is that it started cleaning at 13:00 (1PM) and it cleaned for 1 hour and 15 mins. At which point its battery was depleted. **It then charged for 4 hours and resumed cleaning at 6pm!** It couldn't even do 500sqft in one charge! On top of that, the only carpeted rooms are the Living and Study room, even on "Max Suction" the eufy uses less suction on hard floors compared to the carpets, if the robot ran on "true" max suction on the hard floors, I doubt it could even do 100sqft without needing to charge. **3: Bad Pathing and Planning** This issue was worse when I first got the vacuum in late spring/early summer 2024 but it still persists. While the X10 is pretty good at avoiding most obstacles, when it gets stuck, its usually in the same place each cycle. My carpeted area in the living room is slightly sunken from the "main area" and I built a ramp for the robot to use to get down to the living room. My Wyze robot vacuum would use it flawlessly and it doesn't even have a camera. The Eufy x10 was pretty good about using the ramp when I first got it but it seems updates have regressed its behavior: [Video of Eufy X10 Getting stuck on ramp and repeating same action over and over again instead of changing strategy](https://photos.app.goo.gl/q5ECiQALp2bNPadw8). [Video of eufy X10 getting stuck in a corner for no reason and not backing up](https://photos.app.goo.gl/vMXagQazTBNR7Ueh6) [Video of Eufy X10 getting stuck on ramp and repeating same action over and over again instead of changing strategy](https://reddit.com/link/1gxu13s/video/4hy5t47kpl2e1/player) [Eufy X10 getting stuck in a corner for no reason and not backing up](https://reddit.com/link/1gxu13s/video/rgktto9rpl2e1/player) **4: Non-Existent Smart Home/Home Assistant Integration** There is zero Home Assistant support for the Eufy X10. Dreame, and Roborock both have integrations for Home Assistant and you can even install [Valetudo ](https://valetudo.cloud/pages/general/supported-robots.html)on some Dreames and Roborocks for full local control. Even my Wyze has a home assistant integration because Wyze has an API for developers. Eufy on the other hand does not have any smart home integration and from what it seems like, no API for developers for the X10 and newer vacuums. [There is this thread on Github](https://github.com/CodeFoodPixels/robovac/issues/68) where some people are trying to get the X10 working but its been up in the air since March 21st. I filed a ticket with Eufy asking for a home assistant integration and they said they appreciate the feedback and received this response on September 22nd 2024: >....we understand your request for better integration with Home Assistant and acknowledge the current limitations with Google Assistant. We are continuously working to improve our app's compatibility and will keep your suggestions in mind for future updates. Its been over 2 months since that and no updates still to enable any sort of Home Assistant support. This is a very crucial feature for me as I would use my smart switches to call for the vacuum to clean a certain room. For example, I would triple tap my kitchen light switch to request my Wyze vacuum to clean my kitchen. For a company as big as Eufy, releasing a smart robot vacuum in 2024 with zero smart home support is pitiful. **Conclusion** So its not looking good for the X10 in my opinion. My comparisons may not be 100% scientific like Vaccum Wars, Jaime Andrews and Rtings performs, but my findings do closely line up with what Jaime Andrews and Rtings have found with regards to Hard Floor cleaning performance. Its great when a robot vacuum can do all sorts of things like mopping floors, avoiding obstacles and auto emptying, but one thing it should definitely be able to do is, **vacuum**! The Eufy X10 falls very short in that aspect on Hard Floors and I wish I could return both of my units and get a Dreame L10S Ultra or Roborock Qrevo instead. I may start a warranty claim on both of my robots due to the poor performance, some people are saying their X10s have been working great, but in the many hours I have ran my X10s, they have not performed well. And while the rest of you are looking around at reviews on this subreddit and elsewhere, please keep in mind that this [subreddit is very frequently astroturfed ](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1g9gn00/yall_notice_that_half_the_posts_on_this_subreddit/)and there manufacturers are known for paying for reviews. Sources like Rtings, Vacuum Wars and Jaime Andrews are known for purchasing vacuums with their own money but almost all reviewers post affiliate links in their descriptions for the products they review, whether you think that affects how they might portray a product is up to your interpretation. TLDR: The Eufy X10 sucks (but actually it doesn't suck anything up on hard floors) Edit: Typos, Punctuation Edit 12/22/2024: I have completed a warranty return with Eufy. They took back both of my used Eufy X10s and partially refunded me for both vacuums. They refunded me 50% of my purchase price for my first X10 and 70% my purchase price of the second X10. This is understandable considering I purchased my robot vacuums in May/June. Overall their return process was very smooth and customer support was top notch. After seeing my videos of the robot failing to pickup cat litter, they quickly got me a shipping label to RMA the product. When I asked if I can just get refunded, they didn't hesitate to provide me a refund offer without resistance. Overall, top notch customer service and I will continue to keep Eufy in my mind for future robot vaccuums. I hope they are able to fix the design flaws of the X10 and provide a competitive product with flagship features at a low price with the X11 or whatever is next. Till then, I have purchased 2x Dreame X40s to replace my Eufy X10s, both perform significantly better but have some issues of their own which I will detail in my eventual review of the X40. But overall happy with the X40. [Cat Tax](https://preview.redd.it/xdr5ji6tkl2e1.jpg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6f4a48afb795fa5af014890e1cd0d432cbe46057)

Dreame l10S or l20 if you are trying to save money Dreame x30 if you have a little more money to spend Dreame X40/L40 if you want the best. If you only have hardfloors, the Eufy S1 pro I also like the QRevo Slim if you want something from Roborock but I am disappointed with its Object avoidance capabilities when compared to Dreame and Eufy. Roborock in general is quite trash at obstacle avoidance and it makes it hard for me to trust their vacuums to run on a schedule without having to babysit them but their hardware is solid and reliable. Skip the Eufy x10 that so many shills like. It's got a lot of features that look good but in reality they aren't very well implemented. I had two of them and Eufy partially refunded me for both of them due to my experience with them. Good customer support, but a bad vacuum design that struggles to pick up anything on hardfloors. Lots of bots and astroturfing. Real users like myself have found that it has horrible suction performance and battery life. It struggles to pick up cat litter and rice off hard floors and drains it's battery so fast that it can't finish 500sqft without needing to charge. The dustbin and brush guard design are horrible. The dustbin screen doesn't do anything and results in almost all the dust reaching and clogging the filter after 3 cleaning cycles. The brush guard has a rubber flap that is responsible for sealing the guard to the floor, that rubber flap wears out within a few days of cleaning and makes the suction issue even worse. On top of all of that, Eufy has basically zero smart home support so you can't even integrate the thing into home assistant and they aren't spending any time on implementing the feature. Instead they are spending their money on paying reviewers and SEO bots to flood this subreddit and youtube

Nothing yet. Going to wait maybe another year and find something else. I'm already out ~$1000 purchasing two x10s. I'll just deal with it until the next generation of vacuums from roborock and Dreame. Even with it's issues, I have two cats and having the x10 run daily even for a mediocre clean, is better than nothing. I would never buy one again or recommend it to anyone else. I may even stay off Eufy until they fix their vacuum performance since the s1 has similar suction issues. Rtings has started doing robot vacuum tests and their experience with the x10 closely lines up with mine, especially on hard floors. The dreame and roborock products do significantly better than my x10. Hell, even my $150 Wyze robot vacuum from 3 years ago is better and it lives in my garage now picking up screws, leaves, washers and all sorts of debris the x10 could never pickup.

Skip the x10. I'm not the only one that's had poor hard floor performance with it. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/o9DWn2LVJr If you don't have hardfloors, it's a perfectly fine vacuum and good value for money, but for some reason it really struggles to pick up debris on hard floors. [This Guy](https://www.reddit.com/r/eufy/s/wTo5doPgvL) literally had similar questions to you and [posted](https://www.reddit.com/r/eufy/s/ZDjCBcdfMR) earlier in the Eufy subreddit wondering if the x10 is as bad as people are saying and he ended up listening to the shills. Look at the Roborock Qrevo or the dreame l10S ultra which is like $400 right now coming in cheaper than the x10. Finally see this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1gkca51/i_analyzed_the_25_most_recommended_robot_vacuums/#lightbox The x10 is one of the most liked and also has the most negative reviews. Skip the eufy x10 coming from a person that has two of them. It has mediocre suction and struggles to pick up debris on hard floors even on the max suction setting and two passes. On top of that it has horrible battery life. Since my eufy x10 has such horrible pickup performance I have to run it on max suction which drains the battery faster meaning it can't even get through 500sq ft without having to back to charge. It also has other really braindead behavior like going back to wash the mop pads after a set time of operation instead of set time of mopping. This means that when in vaccum/mop mode, and the robot is cleaning a room that is mostly carpet, it will go back and clean the mop pads even though they weren't used at all, it goes back simply because 15 minutes have elapsed. This results in so much extra water being used and more time/battery wasted going back and forth from the charging station. Finally it has some idiotic pathing at times. I've seen it get stuck in an endless loop trying to get around an obstacle and it cleans in a really unsystematic way compared to my $150 Wyze robot vacuum which also has much better debris pickup despite not having an "8000pa" vacuum motor. The only good thing about the x10 is the obstacle avoidance and mopping performance. It rarely gets stuck on cat toys and random wires/objects so I can confidently run both vacuums on a daily schedule without worrying about them getting stuck. Also, small con for me is that it doesn't have any way to integrate into home assistant. Some people are working on it but roborock and dreame have integrations already. Outside of object avoidance and mopping, this thing really sucks at being a vacuum.

I would say the best would be the QRevo Slim for carpet/hardwood and Dreame X40 if you only have hard floors. The eufy s1 pro is overrated and has the same suction issues as the x10. It has the best mop, but how often are you actually mopping up giant messes every day with your robot vacuum. Running a reliable robot vacuum with a spinning mop system will do as good on a schedule. The eufy vacuums also lack lots of app and smart home integration features like setting the floor grain direction, setting the location of ramps the robot can use and other smart features that roborock and Dreame have in their apps that Eufy is lacking.

In my experience, the x10 is mediocre at vacuuming hard floors, okay at vacuuming carpets, decent at object avoidance for the money, decent at mopping (although the mop pads are very likely to capture abrasive debris and scratch your floors since the vacuum performance is so bad), good customer support. The review from Rtings closely matched my experience: https://www.rtings.com/robot-vacuum/reviews/eufy/x10-pro-omni X40 > QRevo Slim > Eufy x10 > Wyze robot vacuum The Wyze, while far outperforming everyone in vacuum performance on hard floors, is last because it's a "dumb robot" with no obstacle avoidance, self emptying dock, mopping and other advanced features that the other three have. It is still a really good performer and lives in my garage picking up leaves, road debris, concrete chunks, screws and other nasty garage debris that the other vacuums likely couldn't pickup. Also has a sealed HEPA filter unlike the others. In your case, I think your best options are the Roborock QRevo, Dreame l10S, Mova E30. The roborock will be the best at vacuuming but will struggle in object avoidance. The l10S and Mova E30 are very similar machines, both will perform better than the x10 at vacuuming and mopping but be slightly worse at object avoidance but better than the QRevo at object avoidance. If you are willing to keep your home a "robot vacuum proof" environment, the QRevo should be the best choice in your price range.

Eufys I listed are the best at hard floors since they have roller style mops. Spinning mops are good too just not as effective as rollers. Where Eufy struggles though is vacuum effectiveness. All these brands advertise some ridiculous suction pressure but it never actually reflects how effective they are and vacuuming debris. For your price range I think the eufys I recommended are out of your price range and I would not recommend the Eufy x10, I had two of them and their performance is mediocre, especially at vacuuming debris on hard floor. Roborock makes good quality products and have the best carpet/suction performance out of all the brands but their object avoidance is mediocre and the worst compared to Dreame and Eufy. Their object avoidance is alright on hard floors but mediocre on carpets and typically has issues with cables. Dreame/Mova (sister companies) have the best object avoidance in their higher end offerings (Dreame X40, L40, Mova P10 pro ultra, P50) but are slight worse at vacuum performance when compared to roborock. The mopping between the spinning mops Roborock and Dreame/Mova are about equal. But since Dreame/Mova object avoidance is much better, it's easy to set the robot on a daily schedule without having to prep your home and pick up everything off the floor. I run both of my Dreame x40s daily and they rarely if ever get stuck and basically never eat cables. For your price range I would recommend the Mova p10 pro ultra or Dreame L40 ultra. Both should come on sale for around $400-$600

What about hard floors? Can it pick up small debris like cat litter in a single pass? My X10 struggled to pick up cat litter even with a clean filter and new brush guard. Speaking of the brush guard, is it more durable than the thin rubber on the X10?

Get a Dreame or Mova for best obstacle avoidance. I've owned a Eufy x10, Dreame x40 and Roborock QRevo slim. Out of all of them I rate the Dreame x40 far ahead of the other two with the QRevo slim coming in 2nd and Eufy x10 last I currently have two x40s and their obstacle avoidance is nearly flawless. The robots rarely get stuck or eat cables which lets me run them both daily without having to prep my house or intervene. Roborock in general, really struggles with obstacle avoidance, especially on carpet. The QRevo slim I had for a few weeks before returning it would constantly eat cords and cat toys. Do not go with roborock if you value obstacle avoidance. For your case, I would recommend the Dreame L40 or Mova P10 pro ultra. Mova is Dreame's sister company and the p10 pro ultra is identical to the Dreame L40 other than not being able to leave the mop pads at the base station. And both are very similar to the X40 other than having a slightly smaller battery and slightly different obstacle avoidance sensors while still being as good as obstacle avoidance. The advantage of the L40 and p10 pro ultra is that you are getting X40 level performance but usually around the $500-700 price point.

Your tool needs updating since it seems to put the Eufy products at the top of the list all the time even though both the s1 and X10 are mediocre when it comes to hair tangling. Also the Eufy x10 is overall a mediocre performer, looks good on paper but does not perform well at all. https://www.rtings.com/robot-vacuum/reviews/eufy/x10-pro-omni For some reason your tool ranks it near the top for basically every category even though it has significantly worse object avoidance than than the Dreame x40 and L40, and Worse carpet performance than Roborock's s8 max v and curv.

I have a eufy X10 pro Omni. I have a German Shepherd and a girlfriend that seems to shed almost as much as a German Shepherd and it's handled the hair pretty well. It had a built in cutter to automatically remove the hair and it does a pretty good job. Our old, cheap Honiture constantly needed detangling. On this one I've had to cut hair from the ends of it once in 3 months. You can also get a rubber roller brush replacement that's meant to be great for lifting the hair.

Just understand there is no maintenance free vacuums or mops. You can delay touching it for a couple of weeks but it will probably need at least some minor maintenance before the major clean and resupply. I think your uncle using the app and helping out would be ideal. I have no clue who offers Chinese support but most of these are made in China so there may be Chinese forums that can help out or maybe you can talk directly to the company. You didn't mention if their floors are tile, laminate, wood, or carpet as that would dictate my recommendations. But I am currently impressed with Eufy S1 Pro for superior mopping. the Eufy X10 Pro Omni for superior carpet and avoidance, and the Movo P10 Pro Ultra for good all around performance. Keep in mind I don't think any robot vac can totally replace a good plug in vac on carpet. || || ||

I got my X10 yesterday and I must say I haven't seen any of what people describe as terrible so far. Obviously only two cleanings in so things can change, but happy so far. What I did notice during my first cleaning was sooo much hair stuck in the brush, which led to it not picking up some things. Not pet hair, but human. Cut it off and upped the suction by one, then it was all good again. Will continue to keep an eye on the brush after cleanings to se how fast it gathers.

The issue with the S1 Pro is that it has a heavy bias towards tiles/hardwood and mopping. It is horrible on carpets, like amongst the worst out of the top brands. That is what heavily hurts its rating. I do agree that Eufy X10 being #5 is pretty wild, but it is probably a better overall robot vacuum.

So I decided to upgrade my robot vaccum in January this year (2025) as I wanted to have an even more hands off solution. I was previously running a roborock e4 as it at the time had the largest dust bin. It was a great robot and really did collect a lot of dust. I went with the eufy as it seemed from all reviews that it was most bang for the buck. Since then I must report that it is really not that great for a few reasons. 1. It does a terrible job with getting close to the wall and collecting debri and dust. 2. Compared with my old roborock it is nowhere near in terms of how much dust it collects, and the RR was much cheaper. I've run the eufy now for a total of 35 h and the dust bag is still not full? 3. The navigation is not great, from the map I see that it misses several spots that have no obstacles. So the software seems to be badly optimized. I would recommend going with something from roborock instead.

Roomba is often praised for its vacuuming on carpets, but its software isn’t as good as dreame or eufy’s. I have eufy x10, which automatically detects carpets and boosts suction (though most robot vacuums have this feature). The app allows for a lot of customization, and I’m really happy with it.

Having the same experience with the Eufy X10 Pro Omni this week, it just does -not- have enough suction/bristle action to pick up, in my case, small particles like sand/kitchen salt. Sure it'll pick up most of it, but its leaving/scattering around at least 10-20% of those smaller particles it runs over. In vacuumwars review the front brush action is mentioned as not functioning great, and that's subsequently regarded as being nitpicky. I thought, thatll be fine for me then. But its not. Navigation/app/user experience/object avoidance and mopping work all really great, so much that I feel sorry to say that if a vacuum doesn't vacuum right, then I'll be returning it anyway.

Of these, the worst mopping will be the Q5 and Q8 robots, which just have stationary pads attached to the back. The S8 also has a pad attached to the back, but includes a scrubbing motion via a plate that vibrates at a high speed. It's better than the Q5 and Q8. The best mopping will be on the Qrevo and Eufy X10. They have spinning mop pads, a dock which refills the water tank on the robot from its own water tank, and also cleans the pads automatically and stores the dirty water in another tank on the dock. Of the last two, each has its strengths and weaknesses. The X10 will be better at obstacle avoidance. The Qrevo is a Roborock, which has a better reputation for quality and reliability than the Eufy, and is also rated a little better than the Eufy at a lot of things: vacuuming performance, mopping performance, etc. It also can swing out one of its mop pads for better edge and corner cleaning, something the Eufy can't do. In some cases, obstacle avoidance is really critical, in which case I'd recommend the Eufy. Otherwise, the Qrevo is likely your best bet.

I have a roborock s5 and a eufy. The roborock was my first and I only bought a new one because I’d wanted one that also mopped. The roborock is much better at picking up little bits on the ground and all the pet hair. The eufy leaves little pieces of hair on the ground when done. But since it has the mop and was a lot cheaper than a new roborock with a built in mop I decided to keep it. My older roborock (5 years old) still works great and is now in my finished basement. The eufy I got was x10 pro Omni and I chose it because it has two spinning mop head, separate dirty and clean water tanks, washes and dries the mop after each use. I do like it but I will eventually sell it and get a roborock s8 with 2 water tanks and dust collector.

have had mine for a few days now. compared to my roomba j7+, its vastly superior in terms of cleaning and obstacle avoidance. the only issue i'm noticing so far, and this could be user error, i set it out for whole house clean and selected vacuum only for my bedroom (room 7 of 8 on the list to clean). i got an app alert after about 2 hours or so saying the task was finished. yay! not yay because as the app updated to show the places cleaned, the bedroom (room 7) and connected bathroom (room 8) did not get cleaned. it went back to wash the mops and is currently drying them, so it'll be interesting to see if it returns to vacuum only the bedroom and then vac/mop the bathroom. if this is in fact what it does, i'll set the bedroom to vac/mop so it does it all at once instead of having to go back, wash/dry the mop pads and then turn around and go back out and repeat the wash/dry cycle. overall, i'm pleased with it. it cleans the kitty litter well and seems to do well on carpet when i ran it for a test run the day i got it. i did end up ordering the rubber roller because the bristle one was already a mess (6 cats and a GSD so fur everywhere, daily). i'm setting it for M-W-F vac mop, T-Th vac only and then just the litter areas on the weekends (with a daily afternoon litter cleanup, vac/mop). i want to see how long the water tank will last on 3x weekly. for the price, it was the best available. i watched reviews on YT for probably a month and waited for Prime Day, so the 599 i paid was worth it. hoping its a worthwhile long term good tool

What suction level do you run? I have a x10 and with a Golden Retriever. I find the pickup performance on hardwood, running standard+ suction level, works really well. I do get a considerable amount of hair wrap on the rollers, but it’s easy enough to clear out.

I recently upgraded my Eufy X10 pro to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. Holy mother fucking god. The difference. I thought eufy mopped the floor well but this really cleans the floor. Like it felt clean! Wow. I have 2 cats 1 short hair 1 long hair, didn't leave any fluff on the floor at all. I'm so amazed, let's see how it performs in 3 months time.

I've got the [Eufy X10 Pro](https://amzn.to/4fpXEEi), and I absolutely love it! It’s been a total game-changer in my house, especially with two dogs and three young kids. The obstacle avoidance is fantastic, it actually detects and avoids objects, which was a big issue with my previous one. It handles my carpets and hard floors effortlessly. The vacuum suction could be a little stronger but it makes up for it by cleaning more frequently. The self-emptying base is great as I don’t have to worry about emptying it all the time and this one even mops my floors! It’s a bit of an investment, but totally worth it for how much time and effort it saves. Highly recommend if you want something reliable!

I've had the Eufy X10 Pro Omni for about a year now, and it's been a major letdown. It does a poor job with hair, and the default suction barely picks up anything. I tried increasing the suction to reduce the constant hair tangling, but the tangles still happened, and now it takes 10 times longer to clean the house. What used to be a passive cleaning job while we were out has turned into an hours-long session that runs during peak time when everyone’s home, which completely defeats the purpose. To make matters worse, we have to manually send it back to the dock almost every day because it gets lost or can't find the base. The app and software are the only bright spots, but even that feels like a trap now. After one of the recent updates, performance dropped off a cliff. It honestly feels like they broke it to push people into upgrading or replacing it. What really stings is that my cheap Shark vacuum handled hair way better. The app was garbage and felt years behind Eufy's, but at least it got the job done.

Totally agree.. So unfortunately robo vacuums, each brand, each individual vacuum has their own pros and cons.  I also along with everyone kept comparing the eufy x10 with qrevo and even against dreame models. Ultimately the price for eufy x10 during prime day attracted me to order the x10. My dream is to buy the eufy s1 pro because that one is a fantastic mop. However that one doesn't vacuum as well as other robo vacuums even when it excels in mopping.  I have been with the roborock original vacuum (no mop feature) for many years and wanted to try one with mop feature.  I just cleaned my home with the eufy x10. Is it a perfect vacuum? No it isn't. But am I happy with it? Absolutely, the price that I paid was approximately 650usd tax included. The eufy x10 has definitely a lot of features from premium vacuums. For my flooring which is practically all hardwood, I find it vacuum and mopped pretty wellAnother consideration for myself was warranty support. Eufy/Anker I have dealt with and at least they are responsive. I did see that both roborock and dreame which are basically same operating company is very unhelpful if you needed support or warranty service. For a 650 USD purchase, that needs to also be a consideration.  Ultimately it depends on your budget and what you want... But for someone that is looking for midrange, the eufy x10 definitely fits the target range

I just bought the same model and received it yesterday and gave it the first couple of runs through our house. Here are my thoughts to add to yours: 🔷️PROS 🔶️CONS 🔷️ Fantastic for set-and-forget daily cleaning. I'm super-excited about the scheduling capability. I have it set to do a daily vacuum starting at 6pm and a weekly vacuum and mop on Sunday starting at 2pm. I might increase frequency of mopping if we decide we need it, but that's my starting point. 🔶️ Not really a con, but more a reminder to folks: This bot isn't even close to sufficient for all vacuuming needs. You'll still need a standard vacuum for places where the bot can't reach and for deeper/heavier soiling. 🔸️The kitchen floor under the cabinets - the kickplate area - didn't get cleaned. It's the area that gets dirtiest, so I'm disappointed the bot is unable to reach it. NOTE: This is probably my only true disappointment - everything else I laregly expected or have no difficulty finding workarounds. 🔸️I put down baking soda on my carpet to help with odors, and though the bot managed to pick up a lot of it, there was a significant amount remaining that I had to pull up with my standard vacuum. 🔸️Don't forget the need to have a way to clean out vents, air filter screens, and so on. 🔷️ *VERY* impressive obstacle avoidence / navigation. 🔹️I have a carpeted room that includes an area where I've placed a sample of pergo on top of the carpet. The bot managed the climb on and off without significant difficulty, and it accurately detected the change in surface and adjusted the suction accordingly. As my husband says "I love the way it just goes 4-wheeling through there." 🔹️I have a small table that is almost exactly the same size as the bot, and it's positioned on the carpet right at the edge of where I placed the pergo. The bot managed to climb down off the pergo while navigating between the table legs, do a few turns to clean the floor under the table, then navigate back out from under the table while having to make the climb back up onto the pergo. I thought for sure the bot would get stuck under the table, but it handled it beautifully. 🔸️I had a mirrored closet door slightly open at the beginning of the quick-mapping but closed the closet door before running the first cleaning. The bot got stuck in a loop of trying to get into the closet to clean it. Oops. I manually stopped the cleaning and added a virtual barrier no-go zone on the map to block the closet for future runs. No problems since. 🔸️I have a bookcase made with 3/4" plywood as the base (no legs). The bot just tried to climb into the bookcase. As a workaround I stretched a cable across the floor in front of the bookcase and will manually add a virtual boundary no-go zone to the map for future runs. (🔹️On the plus side, after my husband picked up the bot to make it stop climbing into the bookcase, the bot waited for the resume command and then re-oriented itself before finishing the job. Perfect response to the situation.) 🔸️I have a chair that has short wooden feet that stick out just a little beyond the bulk of the chair. The bot tries to climb right over the feet. I'm going to have to come up with a solution to protect the chair. I might use the virtual barrier, but positioning it perfectly to protect the chair but still allow the bot to clean the area behind the chair may be impossible. 🔹️My husband left a towel on the bedroom floor and I caught the bot 4-wheeling its way over the towel, vacuuming the entire time. 🔷️ Battery life is adequate. A single lap on standard suction for the entire (very small) house took just under an hour and used 25% of total power. 🔷️ Our senior cat finds it interesting, but not traumatizing. He rarely gets excited by toys now as he's got significant "I've seen it all" attitude. He hasn't seen one of these before, so he's been cautiously checking it out. I have no idea how I'll feel about it 6 months or 6 years from now, but as of right now I'm delighted with it and very glad I made the purchase. It's not the be all, end all for vacuuming, but I expect it's going to be a massive assist.

It makes us feel like it's a sometimes-naughty pet that we adore. We went for a day-trip yesterday and realized we needed to "Bumble-proof" the house before leaving home. I often find myself watching it in amusement as it repeatedly tries to find a way past a barrier to an area it has been able to access previously. Like a pet, it sometimes gets underfoot and we have to shoo it away. While it's not able to reach all corners, it makes it possible for us to walk barefoot around the house and not experience the discomfort of crumbly bits under our feet. It doesn't capture all of the tumblefloof from our cat, but it gets most of it. It's a huge help.

Eufy is pretty good and great value for a robot that includes self cleaning mop. But I will say that the robot is a bit dumb in attempting to get over transitions between different height floors, compared to a Roborock S7 that I've used in the same space. My kitchen and bathroom tile was a centimeter higher than my hardwood floor in the hallway. My Eufy x10 would keep trying unsuccessfully to cross that threshold and eat up its entire battery. Sometimes the x10 will make it onto the higher tile, but then not realize it and navigate back off the tile. I've found that putting the robot into mopping mode helps it get over such floor transitions more easily. Or if I am in vacuum only mode, if I'm home I might give it a firm shove with my foot over the threshold. They contacted support asking for better programming to get over thresholds, but a half year later, I don't see any improvement. The robot needs to at least realize it can't cross the threshold and give up rather than keep trying... I have since moved to a renovated home with no such transitions between rooms, and the x10 is great.

I just bought the X10 during the recent Prime Days, but I bought it from Best Buy, as the pricing is same/better, and the return policy is better for me. It was $599, then the next day, it was $549! They matched the pricing on Eufy's website and Amazon, I checked. ;) I have a 2/3 flight of stairs, and I agree about getting two units, although I do carry mine upstairs, which is approx 1/3 the square footage of the down stairs. But with young children and pets and time being precious, I do agree having a second unit makes sense. I'd suggest a vacuum & mop unit, try it on both your floors and see how it goes. You can always add another non- mopping unit. The X10 allows multiple floors on the app.

I'm currently looking at this model or the roborock q revo standard as they are both the exact same price right now on amazon (679). Will be my first robot vacuum. I have 3 dogs and all hardwood floors, so mopping is important to me to probably be ran once a day I would think. Have you tried both, and can you recommend the x10? I do know this one has more suction power, camera avoidance and higher mop lift. I thought I also read somewhere that you can get a live view of the camera from anywhere? So say I wanted to check in on my dogs while away, I could get on the app and get a live feed? Is this correct?

I got it for $800 through the Eufy app. I ordered last Friday and it delivered Monday. It is a huge leap in technology from my Eufy X10 Pro Omni. I ran three deep cleaning cycles this week. All settings max just like on my X10. The X10 would have to recharge at least once to complete my house. Also, the X10 would use about half of the base clean water tank per deep cleaning(carpet set to vacuum only). The X10 base water tank is also larger than the E28 base water tank. The new E 28 robot will clean my house on one charge cycle and use about 10-15% of the base station clean water tank while doing a better job. I’m amazed, really. Can’t wait for the clean water tank % left app upgrade for the exact number. The robot is much, much quieter than the X10 as well.

I got two Eufy X8 Pro SES's for different levels of my house specifically because they were basically a pretty good vacuum. It has a "mop" which is just a rag that drags the ground, so I have never even used it (could do a good job, never used it). For the power of the vacuum, features, etc. they were very cost competitive. Roborock or Dreame may have better models, but Eufy is inexpensive for what you get. I have been extremely happy with them. I also got a Eufy X10 Pro Omni for the rotating scrubbing brushes, and it does a pretty good job of both vacuuming and mopping.

It’s obstacle avoidance is amazing too so things like scattered cat toys don’t get sucked up. This is our second robot vacuum and I absolutely love it. Depends of your house and of the vaccuum. If you do not have stuff on the floors cheap stupid vaccuum will help you out, but if you have socks/wires etc on the floor it will be stuck all the time. I had ecovacs 960 and a dog and a kid, and wires and socks etc.. it was always stuck. So I digitally blocked some areas away. Kitchen and livingroom were mostly stuff free so it only cleaned those. It just broke down couple weeks ago and now I have Eufy X10 Pro Omni. This is much smarter and can clean whole house, it ignores stuff much better and does not get stuck. And it mops. I have had great experience with that, I can see my hardfloors getting much cleaner. Also the week that i was searching and waiting for new one, I noticed how much I need robot vaccuum because of the dog. Would def reccomend to try it out. Eufy has sales ongoing also right now. I bought it before the sales, but still got the price dif refunded. It self emptys, and has dirty and clean water tanks in base. It washes and drys mops itself.

The Eufy X10 omni I have is pretty damn good with long hair i’ve found. It’s been running daily for at least a month without any cleanups or detangles and so far i’ve only found a few stuck on strands during my monthly maintenance. It apparently has a feature where it reverses the rollers against some cutting teeth contraption, basically removing most of the tangles.

The X10 Pro wheel slips when trying to navigate a slight lip between the hard floor and carpet. The Roborock doesn't have this issue. Neither does the Dreme. But the Dreme refuses to cross a dark cable cover.

I should note there there were a few models like the Eufy X10 which were inconsistent per run, like I have seen it use 3 grams of water, and almost no water at different times. However after running it several times the low water usage seemed to be much more common so I used those numbers for it. Its too bad, if they could fix this water issue on the X10 it would be one of the best robots out there.

Eufy X10 Plus Omni has done great with my German Shedders if you run it in Max or Turbo (suction) and "Deep" pass mode. It goes on sale periodically at $599 (normally around the holidays).

Excellent write-up and my thoughts exactly after having one for 6+ months. They still haven't addressed the fact the bot uses the LIDAR and not the bumper to detect some things, causing it to avoid cabinet overhangs .. there are sections of my kitchen that it refuses to clean because of this ( I know because I put a piece of debris there and it hasn't been touched.), it will not go under the toe-kick because the LIDAR detects the cabinet, every other bot I've used (EcoVac, Roomba, RoboRock, Wyze, etc.) slows down and probes with the bumper for this scenario. It's the same thing with low-hanging fabric (like curtains or underseats). It just avoids it, when it should probe it for a physical obstacle. Their latest firmware update added an option to be cautious or "medium" but it doesn't seem to change this. Another gripe for me is the removal of the AI.See images and the lack of being able to provide any feedback to this system. You should at least be able to draw small zones for it to ignore certain types of categories, I have a few areas it classifies as "buckets" or "bases" that wouldn't hinder it, but it still flags and avoids them. I also agree that it'd be nice for one manufacturer to push air through the filter in reverse to dislodge a lot of the dust when emptying the bin, it's probably one of the biggest contributors to rapid performance dropoff. That, or someone needs to try a cyclonic first stage (Dyson did, but everything else was lacking). I don't need a gimmicky robot arm, I'd like it to be good at vacuuming. I do think all of the RoboVac review channels need to add "longevity" to their testing regime (even if it's synthetic or brute-forced) as I find a lot of vacuums performance degrade rapidly after a few months, even with regular maintenance (consumables, etc.).

Since you're always looking to evolve the testing with the bots, here's a few ideas: - Synthetic obstacle course: I know you use a room setup, but there was another reviewer that had a series of overhangs at different heights to see how the bot reacted. The Eufy X10 for example is not cabinet toe-kick friendly -- an edge case where if there's a 90deg cabinet corner, the robot does the inverse navigation (creating a square) .. I suspect the LIDAR is detecting the cabinet and the bot lacks the logic to probe with the bumper for the overhang.  - Performance Over Time: Performance once the vacuum has ran a set amount of cycles and how rapidly it drops off. Most reviewers are testing these things out of the box -- but how well are they performing after 40 hours equivalent?  You could probably synthetically test by loading a fixed amount of fine particles that represent each "run" and measuring the drop-off, then add more, repeat -- the goal is to find the performance dropoff.  - Exhaust Air Quality: Linked to the above, I've noticed some brands tend to start exhausting more dust when the filter gets filled.

To add on to that: 4b: Cabinet toe-kick navigation is a big one now too. It's basically how well the robot handles situations where the LIDAR detects a surface but the body of the robot could still get partially under (until tapping the LIDAR bumper) and how the robot handles it. I didn't realize this was an issue until the Eufy X10 Omni Pro. Many robots have a mode that is "less careful" where it will detect a surface with the LIDAR, slow down, and probe with another sensor (top bumper switch, front bumper switch, etc.). The Eufy just treats it as a wall and won't go under to the extent that it can.

I have the Eufy Omni X10 Pro and it's a really good vacuum (exceptional value), it's replaced various other brands/models. There were a few pain points with it, especially with the logic around how it determined if it should go under objects (it didn't like to go under toekicks of cabinets), but they recently released a firmware upgrade + software to address that issue now. The fact they're supporting the product ~6+ months after release is really nice to see, many manufacturers move on to the next year model rather quickly.

we had the ecovacs for a month and it did a really good job cleaning, our floors looked spotless, mostly hardwood with a few carpets. it’s mopping and vacuum suction was impressive there. it didn’t lift high enough for carpet and i felt like our carpet was starting to smell a bit damp. We still felt committed then it got an error that we couldn’t fix and i was worried for the price it would continue to be buggy. We’re now a few weeks into the X10, overall the T30s was doing a better job in our home but X10 is still good just not SPARKLING. It feels like the T30s did the job of a professional cleaning staff that was hired and X10 is doing the job of a teenager who is mostly trying but sometimes distracted. However, X10 is still doing a good enough job and I feel more comfortable with their brand.

Saw in an Amazon review that it ran over toys and dragged some things through the room... Never had that issue with my X10 Pro Omni. Was debating whether to make the switch to the C20, because I'm still within my return window and the C20 is lower, but I think I'll stick with the X10.

I find the X-10 to be quite good, not the forever-vacuum I was hoping for but good enough until a clearly better option is out there that isn’t $2000. My only complaint is the motors that drive the wheels are quite noisy, louder and more distracting than the sound of the vacuum.

Not all high-priced robot vacuums are necessary for good mopping. If your home doesn't have frequent extreme stains, a regular robot vacuum can handle it just fine. I set my Eufy X10 Pro to clean twice a week, vacuum and mop at the same time, back and forth cleaning, max mode vacuum, and high water level. I feel like my floors are cleaner now compared to before.

Slightly frustrated eufy X10 Pro Omni owner here. Has some minor mapping issues, doesn’t clean edges well and now the battery performance is lacking after 9mos of use along with a few other issues. Would also like to hear about other models that people are happy with.

I’m overall happy with the eufy x10 Pro Omni. It does ok at cleaning our hardwood floors (just not the edges). I’m not scared of our floors anymore, we have dogs and cats. And with 400+ hrs of cleaning I think I’ve got my moneys worth at this point. Think I paid $6xx last July.

French here sorry for my english. Got an eufy x10 from 1 month now. I use it only on hard floor and don't notice any issue regarding vacuum. It misses sometimes little thing as my old roborock so I'm not surprised or dispointed. Mopping is good! Yesterday I had a little dried pumpkin dirt in my kitchen and after 2 passes of mopping no more dirt. It's probably not the best, no doubt that high end roborock beat it but I had it for 550$ and this is for me a great robot for this price.

I don't agree. I'm very happy with my Eufy Omni Pro. My place has never been neater. Just having a robo vac has also made me more aware of the stuff I leave lying around. Love it. Yes I do need to move furniture and use a big vacuum under and behind sofas and big stuff, but I used to do that anyway.

I also had an older roomba that couldn’t keep up. I recently got a eufy brand one that’s self-emptying with a hair cutter. If I run it once a day, it’s usually pretty good at keeping up but if I wait more than two days, there’s too much hair and it’ll get balls of hair that cause an error with the cutter. When they’re blowing their coats I might run it twice in a day or do a little sweeping in between. I have three huskies and they’re in and out of the dog door too so plenty of dust/dirt in addition to the hair. The house is 1300 sq feet but I have it clean probably half that (open family areas) and it will have to empty two or three times during its job. I will say this one seems smarter and doesn’t get stuck as much as the roomba did.

I owned a Shark Ion Robot for years. It was a random drunken sailor, bumping into everything. Eventually it would clean everywhere but without rhyme or reason. Low pile carpet and vinyl. Then we tried the Envoya Robot Vacuum. It was like a nazi, rigid patterns. It got stuck everywhere, the app was difficult, and I couldn’t map it. This time we are one floor throughout, LVP. No door jambs or anything. We returned it. Next we got the Eufy self-emptying with LIDAR. (Can you hear the angels singing?) What a wonderful vacuum! It maps the perimeter first. Then it goes inside the middle very systematically. It never gets stuck. It slows down because of the LIDAR and doesn’t bump into the furniture. When it docks, it empties in a powerful, long suction. Then a razor runs back and forth across the bar cutting any hair or string. Then it empties again! When it encounters a rug or a spot with extra debris, it automatically increases suction power. I sing its praises. Cost was under $300. Strongly recommend.

Eufy makes great ones and has a very easy app to use. Get one with the emptying station and you can leave it untouched for months. Be sure to follow maintenance recommendations - clean out dust bin every N hours, that sort of thing. If you go that route and have a dog (or kid) that sometimes leaves a mess that would make a bigger mess getting vacuumed, time the scheduled cleanings for after you've been around and had the chance to pick up small stuff and make sure there's no messes.

Gentle cleaning can make some of the parts last longer than they say - in particular the ones with soft rubber/silicone seals. I bought generic (non Eufy brand) bags for my self-emptying station and they work great.
