I have a Eify X8 Hybrid and instead of the big hoover coming out i got a shark handheld with pet hair attachment (like a proper hoover head) to run around and do the corners and carpets. Barely use the Miele now
I hate that I bought a Shark Matrix. It is terrible. The self empty always clogs. Every single time. It avoids no obstacles. Just powers over everything until it gets stuck. Suction power is weak. I still run it once a week hoping it will somehow get better. But I now use an Eufy X8 Hybrid as my everyday vacuum. (I do not use a robot to mop, & and I have no carpet or rugs anywhere).
I’d really like to upgrade to a high end mopping robot, but I see so many positives and negatives posted here every day that I’ll probably skip buying one this year.
Qrevo for me, I had been eufy all the way but after a number of issues with my X8 hybrid I couldn’t bring my self to get another, my house is mostly hard floor and it’s great at pet hair and mopping
We bought a Eufy X8 Hybrid in Black Friday about 3 years ago, and can’t fault the Eufy robovac or the app at all. It’s zoning function and being able to set a schedule mean we barely ever have to vacuum anymore.
We learnt very quickly that the robo-mops will just drag a damp microfibre cloth over the floor, so it’s okay if your floors are always reasonably clean to start with. For the most part though, we wish we’d just bought the vacuum only Eufy option as the hybrid has lower vacuum capacity due to the water tank and we’ve ended up barely using the mop function over just using an e-cloth mop once a week and as needed!
Yes it cleans deep. It has a lot of suction power. There’s a lot of impressive settings in the app! I’ve only had it a short while this vacuum and app are very impressive.
The under belly is unique to other robot vacuums I’ve owned.
Like I said the waste bin storage bin is impressive not having to worry about dumping the onboard waste bin will help maintain suction power!
There’s been so many times I’ve forgotten to empty the onboard waste bin. And obviously a full waste bin on your robot vacuum won’t help with suction.
My previous LiDAR Eufy 8x didn’t have a sensor for the onboard waste bin if it was full.
Funny my older Camera Mapping Roomba had it.
I have two cats I have to walk my home every morning verify no puke before I run it but I also enjoy watching it launch when I’m enjoying my coffee in the morning it’s a beautiful robot vacuum never thought a techy guy like me would buy a white robot vacuum it’s almost angelic!😇🥺🤣
I recently purchased the Roborock Qrevo S5V Robot Vacuum and Mop, and I’m seriously impressed 🤖✨
I started many years ago with the first-generation Roomba from iRobot—no app, no smart features, just roaming around the house cleaning 🌀. Over the years, I went through three generations of Roomba vacuums.
Eventually, I switched from Roomba to the Eufy 8X with LiDAR from Eufy because I got tired of Roomba needinglight to navigate 💡. Unfortunately, my Eufy 8X started having navigation issues, and I noticed it was never added to the new Eufy app. To me, that felt like it was abandoned 😕—so that’s when I decided to try the Roborock Qrevo S5V from Roborock.
Now, I don’t have wood floors yet, but I’m very impressed with this vacuum. It cost me $599 💰, and I currently have it set to vacuum only. It does a fantastic job—you can literally see the cleaning path in the carpet 👀🧹. It also has huge clean-water and gray-water bins, and the app is beautiful and well designed 📱✨. I can’t really recommend the mop feature yet 😂 because I don’t use it for mopping.
One thing I absolutely love is the built-in dust bin emptying system 🗑️🙌. My old Roomba would warn me when the bin was full, but my Eufy 8X would just lose suction if I forgot to empty it 🤦♂️.
So I’d definitely say this: whatever robot vacuum/mop you choose, make sure it has a feature that automatically empties the dust bin into a bag. It’s 100% worth it as a feature 💯🔥
My old Eufy LiDAR vacuum does a great job cleaning hair off the floor. I think all modern Robot Vacuums do a great job cleaning up all hair from pets and humans.
