X8 Pro

yeah. I've used Exfy X8 Pro and Ii'm very satisfied with it

I have a Eufy Clean X8 Pro. It has a both a vacuum and mop function but to be honest I don't really use the mop function (Not that it's bad or anything, I just didn't buy it for that - The couple of times I have used the mop function it was pretty good). The vacuum does a fantastic job on tile and carpet (Although with higher pile carpet you risk the brush getting tangled). You can set "No go zones" for the vacuum and separately for the mop function (So it will vacuum and area but won't mop it) and it was has a base station where it empties itself. I think you can get the X8 pro without that so you would need the SES version. There is an X10 pro model now which I presume is better, and perhaps you can't even get the X8 any longer. I would highly recommend it. Edit: Forgot to comment on the part where you need to move it to other rooms - I am confused by this bit - It will go between rooms itself and you can schedule it to only clean those rooms on certain days or times or whatever. What ever your reason for needing to lift it, you can certainly pick up Eufy, carry it elsewhere and then resume the cleaning without it need to go back to base, but it's probably going to try get back to where it was as it's on cleaning course - Unless I am misunderstanding you?

The scheduling is fantastic on the Eufy anyways - But there is also an auto clean function, which I presume is similar to the Roombas "clean" button - So at the minute they way mine is set up - I have the entire bottom floor mapped - We will say there are 4 rooms for example. I have it scheduled to clean 3 of those rooms on a daily basis (and it does with no problems) - If at any point I wanted it to clean outside of the scheduled times I would select the "auto clean" function (which is a button on the vacuum itself) and it would clean all 4 rooms. In theory, I would guess that I could have it down stairs - Select auto clean - It will do all rooms (but it will probably attempt to go back to the base after this as it has completed the task - I could probably stop it doing this) then carry it upstairs, probably have to change the map, then select auto clean and it will do upstairs) In addition to these options, I can also select it to clean a specific room, or two rooms, or spot clean a certain area and I can even manually control it through the app like a little remote control car! It's all very impressive and I am happy with it, but just do a little more research on the multi floor and multi mapping aspect to make sure it's what you need and want - But I can't see how something else could do it better than that without the vacuum having the ability to climb stairs!!

Eufy isn’t supported for home assistant but I love my Eufy X8 Pro SES I got one for upstairs and downstairs I. My house. There’s a hacs thing for them but I can’t figure out how to get it to work with home assistant though. They work great and keep my house clean with 3 dogs I have them run twice while at work.

Mine is the Eufy X8 Pro with Self Emptying Station. Runs daily, and keeps the dog hair out of the rugs.

Sadly, it sounds like you have a model which - while possibly OK for someone else - does not meet your needs. Mine is the Eufy X8 SES Pro. I am sure it is not the best, but it works for me. This is what I like about it. 1. At the end of each vacuum session, it returns to the station to recharge, and automatically empties itself into a dustbag in the station. (This is the SES bit.) I need to change bags about once a month, sometimes longer. 2. In a very rare occasion, if the vacuum is full before finishing, it will return to the station, empty itself, then return to where it was, and carry on. 3. I was concerned at first about socks and worse. That has never happened with my one. It may notify me that an area was unreachable, if it couldn't find a way around; but has never tried to eat anything. 4. I have a beagle, which sheds. The E8 has a function that you can choose that actually cleans the room twice. Each time it starts by going around the room. Then the first time it will go back and forth along the room, navigating around things as it goes. The second time, it works across the room, at 90° to the first pass. This picks up all the hair. These features are not unique to my vacuum, but are things worth looking out for when you are ready to buy a new machine. And don't worry about the old one. My first vacuum (a Shark) underwhelmed me too, but it is now installed to vacuum upstairs, which is less demanding (the dog doesn't go up there).

I have a Eufy X8 SES Pro. The SES bit of the name indicates that the charging station also "Self Empties" - i.e. the vacuum empties into a bag in the Station. Anyway, the X8 has a mop function, but I have never used it - in fact, the detachable mop pads have been in the drawer since I bought the thing. And the reservoir in the vacuum remains dry as a bone. An excellent cleaner.

Just picked up a eufy x8 pro for under £300, with the dust collection hub and mop attachement, seems to be working well so far! I’d avoid rumba as there’s serval articles online about them going bankrupt so who knows how long support/spares will last
