Two of my e10s have broken in less than a year. I replaced the first one under warranty because the mopping feature stopped working. I tried to troubleshoot and solve the issue to no avail. Eureka then sent a replacement for free. The same issue just happened to my second one, but they are just issuing a refund instead of replacing. Like others have said, when it works, it works great, but it's frustrating when it glitches. Another gripe I'll add is that the map has corrupted multiple times. Which isn't the end of the world, but the vacuum has to search the house and create a brand new map. Then I have to reset all my schedules and re-edit the rooms I created. I love the bagless self emptying system, but the flaws make it feel like a poor execution for a $500 product.

We own the Eureka e10s, and it does a great job and like you, we do not use the mop feature [https://us.eureka.com/products/e10s](https://us.eureka.com/products/e10s)

I’ve been using the eureka e10s for over a year now. It’s been good for what I need it. Have a dog that sheds a lot too. Here are my thoughts on it. Pros: * less than $500 on Amazon * LiDAR for mapping rooms * schedule cleaning * bagless, so just have to empty the base station into the trash and that’s it * can do some mopping * lifts mop over rug/carpet * can set no go zones plus more in the app Cons: * mopping is very basic and you have to refill the little tank that’s part of the robot not the base station. * it does not have optical avoidance so if there is something on the floor below the lidar and its bumper, it will gladly drive over said object. (Aka won’t avoid dog poop or random cables on the floor) * sometimes the mobile app bugs out but is very rare for me at least.

Forgot to mention, a pro, in the app you can assign rooms once the robot maps your home. You can set the robot to only vacuum one room at a time or even assign a specific area to clean with or without mopping and select how many passes it will do which it think is a max of 3

I personally refuse to buy any robot vacuum with disposable bags especially as my dog sheds a lot so I’d be spending lots of $ on bags alone. If you don’t care for mopping too much, I’ve had a eureka e10s for almost a year and it’s been working perfectly. The mopping part is complete crap but vacuums well my floors and rugs.

I only have one dog but he sheds a lot and has long hair. I opted for eureka E10s vacuum as it’s bagless so don’t have to worry about replacing bags constantly. I have it run once a day and I empty the container of fur and dust once a week. It has a mopping option but I have it disabled 99% of the time as it only has an on board water tank. One disclaimer is that I don’t have any carpet and the rugs are pretty small but the robot vacuums the rugs just fine.

If you just want vacuum and mopping is not very important to you, look at the eureka e10s. Vacuums like a champ and has a dust bin in the base so no bags you have to keep buying.

Any of those should do well. I would rank those in pretty much the same order you've listed them in, with the Roborock most highly rated. The self-empty stations are a good idea if you can make it fit your budget. Without self-empty, you'll likely have to empty the robot's dustbin at least once a week, as opposed to a month or more. One minor note: if you get the Eureka, the bagless system means you'll have to spend more time cleaning the filters on the self-empty station. The other three have dust bags, which act as the filter. If you clean the filter on the Eureka regularly, it should work just as well, and you save some money on the bags.

I have 2 Eureka E10s, and they are fantastic. Bagless self empty (a must have) was my deal breaker for me when I was searching for a robot vacuum. It's just like emptying my dyson stick vacuum, simple, easy and use a small blower knock all the dust out. The map in the Eureka app is pretty good, easy to set up schedules. I recommend that you set the vacuum to do one room at a time with an empty in between. They are on Amazon atm and the price is about $400aud

I’m going to give a word of caution on this one. Is it a good vacuum that does an excellent job with mapping, mopping, and carpet detection? Yes. But it has some major quirks that mean I can’t recommend it to anyone. Namely: the fact that software updates to the system have twice now resulted in two different units I’ve owned being unable to charge due because it doesn’t recognize that it has successfully connected to the contact charge pads on the base unit. The first time we ended up getting the unit replaced by Eureka at no cost to us after going through their customer service. The second time, that just happened today, we were able to successfully roll back by factory resetting the vacuum. And this is all with the contact ports being mirror polish cleaned and visibly making a full connection. So do I like how well it works? Yeah, *when it works*. But if it glitches out on me one more time I’ll be binning it and buying a better model from a different manufacturer.

I can’t speak to how to disable software updates because we never figured it out. And it worked again for a long time, but we just experienced another “forgot how to charge” glitch on the replacement unit where it doesn’t matter how clean the contact ports or connections are, it simply will not charge or recognize when it’s homed. We are actively looking for a replacement and don’t plan to buy from the same company again.
