Just retired my old roomba (j7+) for an eureka j20. Happy so far!
r/homeautomation • Robotic vacuum recommendation ->Using eureka j20. Mops well. On negative side the AI on board doesnt make it the smartest.
r/RobotVacuums • Seeking Recommendations for a Robot Vacuum ->The bad news is that all current robots with roller mops also vacuum, and all that I know of don't have a mop-only mode. The good news is that there are a number of models which fulfill all of the other items on your want list with varying levels of quality, with more on the way. Here's the list of robots I know of on the market today, with short bouts of summarization/opinion: * SwitchBot S10+. Really cool design, with separate docking stations for the vacuum and mop water filling/emptying. Can be hooked up to plumbing. Can also empty their dehumidifier/fill their humidifier. Can extend the roller to clean right up to walls. Mixed reviews; the mop is a huge positive. * Eureka J20. Independent reviews have not been kind, though the mop has been a standout. * 3i S10 Ultra. Includes a dehumidifier to fill the clean water tank from the air, and a still to distill dirty water into clean water and send the leftovers to the vacuum dustbin. Pretty good reviews, although there's some concern about the longevity of the water management system, there is no way to empty the dirty water tank apart from the still, and the mopping has had a surprising number of poor reviews. Also can extend the roller to get close to walls. * Eufy S1/S1 Pro. Current market leader, with overall positive reviews of the mopping system. Cannot extend the mop roller to walls. Very good obstacle avoidance. (Disclaimer: I own a S1 Pro.) * Ecovacs X8/Yeedi S14. Essentially the same robot; Yeedi is the budget brand for Ecovacs. Very recently released, and the current challenger to the S1. It's still a bit early for independent reviews, but the ones out there are all over the place. There's some concern about Ecovacs/Yeedi robots generally; perception is that their quality has gone down recently. And some that have been announced, but not released yet: * Narwal Flow. * Mova Z50 Ultra.
