I went from wanting one as a gimmick, to now not being able to even imagine not having one. I'm not home a lot as I'm always at work. When we are home, the last thing we want to do is clean, and I don't mean that in a lazy way either, we get home late and running a vacuum at night would tick off the neighbors. Having the robot, it can work whenever you want, and it's quiet enough that it can work nights too! It started as a joke but we decided it might be helpful, as our roommate at the time was wheelchair bound and couldn't vacuum easily. We just got an early cheap, dumb Shark model. It would bump its way all around our apartment and always impressed us with how much it would pick up. Then for Christmas I found an iLife A9 for cheap on sale, it is the one that really sold me in the sense of "these things actually are getting good". It wasn't much of an upgrade overall, but going from random bumps to basic mapping was night and day. It would finish in half the time vs. the shark. Later, about a year or so, I got the iLife A10 on sale, with Lidar. Again, night and day difference. You can spot clean, room clean, boundaries, walls, basic mop, etc.... I used it for a couple years until the Roborock Q Revo launched. My Q Revo has without question been a workhorse. I run it once a day, and mop a couple times a week. I no longer worry about the floors, I don't need to. I'll still manually vacuum when needed but otherwise I just get it to do it's thing. In fact, my wet/dry floor vacuum just died so its pulling even more work right now as it's the only real mop I now have, other than a Swiffer. Long story short, find one that's rated well and first your needs. You will eventually find yourself questioning how you didn't buy one sooner!

We have two Boston terriers and an oriental shorthair. None of them shed all that much, but it does accumulate. We have an iLife A9 vacuum and it’s been great. Def on the cheap end but we have had it for 5 years and still use it every day. When we did have an issue customer service immediately sent out replacement parts at no charge. It navigates carpet, wood and tile flooring easily and can move across floor transitions that are quite high. Recommend.

I tried many of the name brand vacuum robots - iRobot, Eufy, Shark. They’re all so disappointing and SO expensive. Mapping is a joke. So is mopping. Right now I have two iLIFE robots. They are cheap and brainless but have good vacuum suction and do a decent job except when it comes to getting stuck under objecting, attempting to suck up cat toys, electrical cables, and clean corners. LOL! Why two? These are cheap so I bought one and then said to myself, you are going to regret not buying a replacement. And at $200 a piece I am fine with that.

I have a knockoff, cheaper ILIFE. It's 4 years old and still works great. I do one room at a time, (block off doorways with folded step ladder or chairs) and empty it after every room. I run it every day while doing other chores or outside stuff. I only have to vacuum a couple times a week with the vacuum cleaner. The ILIFE mops too and does a pretty good job although I still get the Swifter out and hand mop if the floors are really messy. My Dane sheds almost as much as the Pry, but small hairs you don't really see until I empty the vacuum.

Same thing here, and same Ilife too! But I have a pyr and a pyr/Anatolian Shepherd mix. Pyr is groomed every 8 weeks, but the mix blows his coat 2 times a year. Weekly vacuum every week, but the daily robot when they blow their coats, especially in the master bedroom, makes it liveable.
