I have the original roombas but now two mop and vacuum euphys. They work good but I hate that they mop and vacuum at once sort of. I’d prefer all the hair to be gone before mopping occurs. Apparently most vacuums don’t have this feature.
r/germanshepherds • We are finally caving in… which roomba do you use?
->Not technically a roomba, but that didn’t stop us from naming it Goomba the Roomba! It’s been great, forces us to pick things up off the floor.
r/adhdwomen • Messy moms who got a roomba, how did it go? ->I'm an 83 year old electronics engineer. I'm part of an anti-Roomba cult. In 1963, I built 2 motorized turtle-like creatures, half the size of a modern Roomba, that would enter a room and bounce off objects until they found their way back out. For old times sake, five years ago I bought a 1st generation Roomba at a rummage sale that did the same. My carpets looked like they were vacuumed by a spider, spinning a web while on LSD. It's been done in spider labs. My Roomba was relegated to my carpeted garage, but managed to escape its light barrier. I caught it halfway down my driveway, on its way to the street. I donated it. Unlike Elon Musk, I like Lidars. My newest robot vacuum uses one, plus a camera, and hardly ever collides with anything. It vacuums in (almost) straight lines. DO NOT buy a robot vacuum without BOTH Lidar AND a camera that sees both visible and infrared light, so it can avoid objects in subdued lighting.
r/roomba • Robot Vacuum Recommendations ->Ours is Moe, like the robot from Wall-E. He’s first gen and I wish he could mop like some of the newer ones, but since I developed a chronic illness he’s been great to have.
r/adhdwomen • Messy moms who got a roomba, how did it go? ->The first Roombas did this, but it is no longer possible without an app. Evolution, they call it.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vacuum that can be configured on a schedule ->I have had many robo vacs over the years starting back with the first generation Roomba with the light towers that meandered in random fashion. I will say that while not yet perfect the aqua10 is so far the best cleaner I have had. I bought this to replace the Narwal Flow I had that was very good but I need a vac that will go back and empty when the dust bin is full and the flow would not do that regardless how packed it was in the bin. The Aqua does a good job at vacuum and mopping imo needs to be a roller or track anymore to get it clean. All my others just seemed to smear it out whether a spinning pad or the flat smear pads (what ever you call them??) The 3i S10Ultra, although a roller, was a downright disaster (reviews posted elsewhere). I had a couple Neatos, 2018 vintage Roborock and numerous Roomba vacs over the years. Still for now this one wins. Let’s see how it is doing in 6 months.
r/RobotVacuums • Finally tried a roller mop robot - Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra thoughts ->Mine is named Robbie, I can’t keep the floor clear enough to use him. My goal for the weekend is to clear his path. Wish me luck!
r/adhdwomen • Messy moms who got a roomba, how did it go? ->We named our Roomba Harry. We have a lab/beagle mix.
r/labrador • Hair Everywhere! ->I have a roomba we named homewrecker because it leaves a trail of destruction behind it. It always knocks over something or gets tangled up in wires.
r/homeowners • Are robot vacuums worth it? I’ve got 4 small kids and I’m always sweeping up the kitchen. Now I have a crawling baby so I’m thinking about getting a robot vacuum, preferably the mop/vacuum kind but they are so expensive! Curious if they are worth it and an investment. ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
