I just finally picked one of these robot vacuums up. Price always kept me away before, but having 2 cats means no matter how much I vacuum there will be cat litter crumbs and kitty hair tumbleweed appearing constantly. The one I have is a [Lefant M2 Plus](https://amzn.to/4oHwaje) and I've been having a blast watching it cruise around and make a LiDAR map of our house and navigating around everything. It has a removable mopping attachment but I haven't bothered with that yet. I can just set it to run a full house cycle at noon everyday and it returns to charge whenever needed and will resume where it left off if charging interrupts the cleaning cycle. (So far it never has). It has a dock that empties the contents into a vacuum bag inside the base. The cats are finally not terrified of it, and I can set it to quiet mode where it is barely audible, standard mode, or high power mode which is the loudest. Even quiet mode picks everything up just fine. No problem at all changing between carpets from wood or tile floors. The only place Ive seen it struggle is around the base legs of a pedestal fan where it will high center itself a few times but then just back away and continue on its path. It has an onboard collection bin with filters that I check and clean every few days, but the auto dump to charging base has no trouble cleaning it out each time it docks.

I bought the lefant m2 from walmart.com for $229, and it's done well.

I don’t see this brand often suggested but my Lafant (with LiDAR) has been a great investment for our household. I was able to integrate using the Tuya integration. And the mapping function works real nice. https://preview.redd.it/zxg65tu0ea2g1.jpeg?width=1320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1c1ac20230081c476e947de1a6221e6a9ee1fd21

Reading this I wonder if robot vacuums are ready for prime time -- all of them. I have two Lefants. One worked great for years, the second one required a call to Amazon's tech help within the month. They told me how to do a factory reset. That worked for about a month. Then it started beeping continuously and wouldn't run. What it had must be contagious (snark) because the one that worked great started doing something similar -- runs about one minute then stops and starts beeping. Tech help was no help. My guess is it might be something to do with my wireless so I'm not sure I can blame the robot. Maybe if they went back to the drawing board and just made a robot you didn't have to use your phone to work. That would take one unknown out of the problem of fixing them when they go wrong. Just an observation after reading the posts here.

lol what the fuck got up OPs ass about robot vacs? I have a LeFant I got for $90. Thing runs 4 hours or so on one charge. I run it every day. I only empty it once a week. The maintenance I put in takes literally 3 minutes. It saves me at least an hour worth of sweeping a week.

My son has Roborock mop and vacuum and it works great. I have tiny home and bought the Lefant one from Amazon just for vacuuming and it does great for my small space. If you run it everyday, you'll be shocked at what it finds, especially if you have pets. It easily goes under furniture which is nice. It does a little of the baseboards, but you might have to wipe them down depending on the style and height.

I have a cheap Lefant robot vac that I run every night that is well worth it, only paid $100 and it keeps my floors very clean with 2 dogs. Like it better than the shark I paid 5x as much for.

A robot vaccum is worth it, IMO, but there are cheaper models than a Roomba. We had an Ecovacs Deebot for several years and now we have a Lefant model. We bought both heavily discounted on Amazon Prime day.
