Yes it is, we have two adult Siberians and I run two robots daily (because the house is on different levels). The difference is amazing and we can see it with a naked eye, but we can also feel it under the slippers because the floor is less dusty. The least expensive of the two is a Lefant M210, which I bought for 99 when it was discounted on Amazon but it's available on AliExpress for less than $40 and it's exactly the same, since the brand is Chinese. This one is obviously more "stupid" than the other fancy robot we have from Dreame, but avoids steps and works around obstacles nonetheless (with a lot more bumps). On the brighter side, it's smaller and less tall than the Dreame, so it doesn't get stuck as much and works under more furniture. Even better, it doesn't have a main brush, just an open mouth that vacuums hairs and powder extremely well. This is great because it's one less thing that you have to clean from tangled hair and other stuff. The filter and the little side brushes can be replaced once in a while for very cheap, and this is CRUCIAL because the filter can't be washed and our robot caught vomit once. We were able to clean it!

Reading this I wonder if robot vacuums are ready for prime time -- all of them. I have two Lefants. One worked great for years, the second one required a call to Amazon's tech help within the month. They told me how to do a factory reset. That worked for about a month. Then it started beeping continuously and wouldn't run. What it had must be contagious (snark) because the one that worked great started doing something similar -- runs about one minute then stops and starts beeping. Tech help was no help. My guess is it might be something to do with my wireless so I'm not sure I can blame the robot. Maybe if they went back to the drawing board and just made a robot you didn't have to use your phone to work. That would take one unknown out of the problem of fixing them when they go wrong. Just an observation after reading the posts here.

lol what the fuck got up OPs ass about robot vacs? I have a LeFant I got for $90. Thing runs 4 hours or so on one charge. I run it every day. I only empty it once a week. The maintenance I put in takes literally 3 minutes. It saves me at least an hour worth of sweeping a week.

I'm sitting here regretting my Lefant purchase from 18 months ago. I'm sure you weren't thinking of going that cheap, but in case you're tempted. I'm shopping again.

I ended up buying a dirt cheap Lefant vacuum for a different part of the house. It doesn’t have rollers and it’s much “dumber” than the expensive roomba we have, but it’s way less of a headache. If I’m still gonna have to clean on my own, at least I’m not dealing with untangling freaking dog hair and three women’s worth of hair every few days.

I actually feel better and love my new cleaning lady that knows her job even when she is done she quietly parks…  i lift one bedside mat and water dishes and check cords… very enjoyable!

Exact reason why I just bought myself an off-brand Roomba for $150 on Amazon (50% off/Black Friday Deal) and it's a life saver! It's called 'Lefant' and I highly recommend it!

I bought an expensive one off Amzon (Lefant brand I think) … was mithered with it trying to map the house and it was noisy, sent it back after a week, just gave up. Was in lidl about 3mths ago and they were selling off the silver crest one for €59 & I took a chance- it dosent map the floor, or return to base etc like the other one did but when I tell you it’s absolute godsend .. it’s tips away for about three hours before needing charging, we rarely use a sweeping brush anymore, my only regret is that I just bought one of them, wish I had a second own for upstairs. We have full wooden floors so that helps, but it misses nothing, even without mapping .. it will just go back and forth and pretty much gets it all done without any intervention - it’s hypnotic at times - I’d never be without one again after getting used to it, don’t even notice it now going around. It goes under presses, the couch - the first few days I was speechless at the amount of dust & dirt it was picking up.. but the more we used it, the less the dust building up underneath things is .. floors are pretty much clean all the time with zero effort from me!

We bought a relatively cheap one off Amazon for £100, make is Lefant, had it about 6 months now. Honestly it is brilliant, we are a family of 5, no pets. It is set to clean the downstairs at 2am every morning. Instead of getting the big vacuum out almost daily, it comes out about once a month now. Highly recommend. We have mostly wooden floors with one rug. I can imagine it struggling on carpet.

I have a Lefant and it’s really good. They go on sale often on Amazon. I know for sure I didn’t spend more than $200 CAD on it. It’s fairly basic but I think that’s why it works so well. I bought it after my roomba faked its death and I really like it. I’m back to using my roomba because well, it was expensive and I might as well if it’s working but it’s acting up again so I think the Lefant will be coming back out to play.
