"it would tangle on short hair often"
I started with a cheap $200 Roomba. It would run into everything to orient itself. Upgraded to a $400 lefant N3 and it was much better. Better obstacle avoidance, suction, battery, navigation, and wouldn't run in to stuff to orient itself. The mop was meh and it would tangle on short hair often so I upgraded again to $600 mova p10 pro ultra and wow it's amazing. Like a 9/10 in my books. Navigation could be slightly better, and mopping is good but could be even better but very satisfied overall. I can't live without robo vacs anymore and recommend everyone try a good one out. I'd say the best would be one of like dreame x50 ultra or robo rock 10R or narwal freo z ultra but those are like $1400
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot vacuum? ->Bought a Lefant N3 and man idk if my expectations are too high but it got stuck on a mat under my work desk and needed help, then it ate a laptop charger I had in a corner, it climbed over my laundry drying rack and got stuck. How can it not detect those things... So now I have to either return it, be extra careful with things, or set up a bunch of no-go zones.. Who has best object avoidance or avoids cables?..
r/RobotVacuums • I fucking hate this thing ->I don’t see this brand often suggested but my Lafant (with LiDAR) has been a great investment for our household. I was able to integrate using the Tuya integration. And the mapping function works real nice. https://preview.redd.it/zxg65tu0ea2g1.jpeg?width=1320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1c1ac20230081c476e947de1a6221e6a9ee1fd21
r/homeassistant • Robot vacuum ->Lefant has been decent. Has never got lost. Seems to not miss anything.
r/RobotVacuums • I fucking hate this thing ->I love mine, use it at least once a day due to the amount of shedding my dogs do. not a deep cleaner but works great keeping things under control. bought one for my son and he loves it too.
r/RobotVacuums • Need advice: how's Lefant's robot vacuum? ->Reading this I wonder if robot vacuums are ready for prime time -- all of them. I have two Lefants. One worked great for years, the second one required a call to Amazon's tech help within the month. They told me how to do a factory reset. That worked for about a month. Then it started beeping continuously and wouldn't run. What it had must be contagious (snark) because the one that worked great started doing something similar -- runs about one minute then stops and starts beeping. Tech help was no help. My guess is it might be something to do with my wireless so I'm not sure I can blame the robot. Maybe if they went back to the drawing board and just made a robot you didn't have to use your phone to work. That would take one unknown out of the problem of fixing them when they go wrong. Just an observation after reading the posts here.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame is a scam ->lol what the fuck got up OPs ass about robot vacs? I have a LeFant I got for $90. Thing runs 4 hours or so on one charge. I run it every day. I only empty it once a week. The maintenance I put in takes literally 3 minutes. It saves me at least an hour worth of sweeping a week.
r/unpopularopinion • Robot vacuums are expensive and a waste of time. ->I have a cheapo LeFant that I got for free. Just swapped the battery. It's only a vacuum. I swear by it. We only have 1 kid but the crap that, that thing sucks up is incredible. Sometimes it even gets little toys. It's a heck of a machine. I'd recommend it.
r/homeowners • Are robot vacuums worth it? I’ve got 4 small kids and I’m always sweeping up the kitchen. Now I have a crawling baby so I’m thinking about getting a robot vacuum, preferably the mop/vacuum kind but they are so expensive! Curious if they are worth it and an investment. ->I'm sitting here regretting my Lefant purchase from 18 months ago. I'm sure you weren't thinking of going that cheap, but in case you're tempted. I'm shopping again.
r/RobotVacuums • Help me choose a robot vacuum? ->I bought Lefant on Amazon 1 year ago and I love it. We had some issue with water tank and they sent new one for free
r/RobotVacuums • Need advice: how's Lefant's robot vacuum? ->I have a cheap Lefant robot vac that I run every night that is well worth it, only paid $100 and it keeps my floors very clean with 2 dogs. Like it better than the shark I paid 5x as much for.
r/dogs • Is a Roomba-like vacuum worth it for dogs? I need to be de-influenced for my wallets sake ->A robot vaccum is worth it, IMO, but there are cheaper models than a Roomba. We had an Ecovacs Deebot for several years and now we have a Lefant model. We bought both heavily discounted on Amazon Prime day.
