The dreame D20 Plus at 329, the MOVA E30 Pro Plus at 349, and the Dreame D20 Pro Plus at 365 USD will be perfect for you. It has antitangle dual main brushes and a tangle resistant side brush which is a lifesaver for those with long hair and fur. I’ve had robots with the same antitangle dual main brushes and they’ve never choked on waist length hair and long haired corgi fur. It also has a big dust bin at 500mL and a 5L dustbag it autoempties into. There’s a removable mopping compartment too which will do at best passive swiffer mopping. If you can’t figure out the differences let me tell you what they are: The only difference between them is that both the MOVA E30 Pro Plus and the Dreame D20 Pro Plus has an extendable side brush which helps at getting little fur bunnies in corners or reaching under furniture like your fridge when cleaning along it and that the D20 Plus doesn’t. The MOVA E30 Pro Plus boasts 19,000 Pa over the Dreame D20 models but I never consider boasted pascal rating as they’re often gamed and don’t really mean anything by themselves.
The best basic choice would be the Dreame D20 Plus and the best cost effective choice (based on features) would be the MOVA E30 Pro Plus. I’d wait for Black Friday which should be Nov 20-ish onwards.
I’d definitely check out the dreame d20 plus/pro plus, the MOVA E30 pro plus, or the roborock Q10 S5+ but the roborock is more likely to have hair tangle around its brush. They all come with a mop but these mops are more of an afterthought and are easily removable. Get them from amazon for easy returns~
I’d recommend the Dreame l40 ultra and the MOVA p10 pro ultra at 400-450. Although they are vacuuming and mopping combo robots, they’re pretty good vacuum robots with great obstacle avoidance, chair legs and wires won’t be a concern. If it’s only chair legs that’s a concern, I’d check out the roborock q10 s5+ or if hair and fur shedding is a concern the dreame d20 plus/pro plus and the MOVA e30 pro plus which should be in the 200-400 range.
I’d check out the dreame d20 plus/pro plus or the MOVA e30 pro plus as vacuuming focused robots as their dual antitangle rollers do well for carpet!
I’d highly recommend the Dreame l40 ultra at 399 as a vacuum and mop combo robot as you can get it to completely avoid carpets that it detects (you can also add them in the app) as it can remove the mops for the carpet. It should come with an antitangle TriCut brush which worked well in my home with a long haired corgi and waist length hair. A good vacuum focused option is the MOVA e30 pro plus at 249 with good antitangle duo brush rollers that worked great with my long haired corgi.
I’d check out the dreame d20 plus or the MOVA e30 pro plus which is the d20 pro plus at a cheaper price. MOVA sent me their v50 ultra and the Z60 ultra roller to review as part of their Reddit collaboration program. The robots I mentioned have the same antitangle duo brush rollers which do great for my long haired corgi’s fur on carpet so I’d recommend these robots. Also would recommend combo models like the S8 MaxV ultra or the roborock QRevo master if you can find them at the <500 price point
I’d recommend a robot good with fur like the dreame d20 pro plus and the MOVA e30 pro plus as their dual antitangle brushes do well with fur and their large dustbin paired with the fur compression feature which compacts the fur in the dustbin with airflow can hold a lot of fur. This is a vacuuming focused model so don’t expect great mopping as I’m pretty sure you value it being able to tackle all that fur more. You can see justadad’s review of it here: https://youtu.be/qkjU7Ge0FEA They will not avoid any pet messes so do check before you run them. If you want it to avoid things like cables, the Dreame l40 ultra and the MOVA p10 pro ultra are good vacuum and mop combo choices but I think the dustbin will be easily clogged with fur.
Many good options exist! Very happy to report that my robot can battle my long haired corgi’s fur and drool. 3rd party consumables are easily accessible on other platforms like AliExpress/taobao Will say that the eufy e25 has been noted by some owners to be loud when autoemptying. Other than that it should work fine in your home :) I’d really go for a robot with a larger dustbin (300-500mL) and can fully make use of its dustbin space. Models would include something like the dreame 20 pro plus/mova e30 pro plus for a cheaper vacuum focused robot but higher end robots like the roborock QRevo Curv S5X (I’ve seen several cat owners put cat ears on their robot’s base station) or the dreame x50 (found for 699 at their US physical store which ships for free and the higher than average battery consumption should be fine since you live in an apartment)
For a vacuum focused robot, check out the roborock q10 s5+ or the dreame d20 pro plus/mova e10 pro plus if hair and fur is an issue
Vacuum focused robot is the roborock q10 s5+ or the MOVA e30 pro plus/dreame d20 pro plus if hair and fur shedding is more of a concern Vacuum and mop combo: roborock s8 maxV ultra is pretty solid and I haven’t seen any complaints of the Saros 10 (sold as the S9 MaxV ultra in some markets like Korea) :)
I’d also check out the dreame d20 plus/pro plus and the MOVA e30 pro ultra if fur tangles are a concern as they have antitangling main brushes that have worked great in my experience. MOVA did send me their v50 and z60 ultra roller for free to review.
I’d check out the dreame d20 if you just want a basic no frills vacuuming focused robot that does well with long hair and has a basic charging base station. The dreame d20 plus and the pro plus has an autoempty station. The MOVA e30 pro plus ultra is going to be the best bang for buck if you want what the dreame d20 pro plus offers at a lower price. Would also check out the roborock q10 s5+ as a great budget friendly vacuum focused robot. MOVA sent me their v50 ultra and their z60 ultra roller to review as part of their Reddit collaboration program. MOVA’s hyperstream antitangle duorollers that the dreame d20 series also has really do work with waist length hair and my long haired corgi’s fur on hard floors and carpets.
I think dreame and MOVA have vacuuming focused robots that are better suited for heavily shedding pets like their d20 plus/pro plus, and the MOVA E30 as it has the fur compression feature so the dustbin won’t clog in one part with a lot of empty space in the middle. If you want something that mops, I’d get the edge 5V1 as it has an antitangle main brush. Hot air mop drying helps a lot in prevent mildew unlike the QV35 and the QV35A.
You could consider this too. It uses a 3D Adapt obstacle avoidance sensor similar to some of Mova's flagships and a wall sensor. A dual contra-rotating brush for better carpet cleaning and anti-hair tangle. https://www.amazon.ca/Mova-Powerful-Self-Emptying-Anti-Tangle-Extensive/dp/B0FDQWVZXH
If ur looking for primarily vacuuming and reliable time saving, cant really do better than the Mova E30 Pro Plus or Dreame D20 Pro Plus out of the current cohort. They have a 5L dustbag (vs the usual 3-4L on most) but can still use the popular 3.2L bag that mova/dreame use on their other bots as well if ur in a pinch. This will be the one to need the least frequent replacements with little maintenance.
I ended out switching a Mova for a Roborock (both the $300 range though) and I notice that actually Roborock looks more cheaply made despite being a little more expensive and with shorter warranty, but I ended up choosing it because the anti-tangle features are a lot better and mova requires you to buy their tri-cut brush separately and I still dunno how well that would work with fur and hair. If one thing's for sure, Roborock's anti-tangle features are top class.
Mova E30 vs QRevo S5V. To be fair they can't really be compared for a lot of things haha. The E40 would probably have been a better comparison but these three models are around $50 more than each other (and again, Mova sells their anti-tangle brush for another $50 extra) so I went for the middle one with all features I need instead. idk if it's a side-brush issue but sadly rocky doesn't pick up and mop as well as Mova did, but it's good enough for the anti-tangle and hot air drying.
Go for the Mova E30. For me, the price-performance winner for under 350€ Here in Germany
IdK but idont think you will get an Roborock with a self washing Station in this price range. The E30 doesnt have a heatet Fan. Only cold Air. But to be honest. Dont Trust all Marketing Things the manufactures Tell you. Less is somthing more.
I've briefly compared the two, so on paper they're almost identical. The Roborock has warm air drying. What is perhaps also interesting is that the Mova does NOT have an internal water tank. It goes to the station every few minutes and cleans its mops. I don't know how it is with the Roborock. Personally, I think it's good that the Mova doesn't have an internal water tank in the robot because this also eliminates the pump in the device and some of the mechanics in the docking station. All of this can't break. And let's be honest, we're talking about two small cloth rags here, so I think it's better if they are washed out regularly. What I also like about the Mova is that it swings its “butt” at edges to really get to the edge with the mops.
Our Mova has mopping but it's not a *requirement* per say, I believe you can run it with the mop pads off. It's been stronger than our beat up old vacuum though, there's no hair on our rugs or our hardwood flooring and it's rated I think at like 19k
Roborock, dreame, movs are all more or less under Xiaomi company wise. They often share the same parts. That's why the similarities. You can also often use the game replacement parts from X on Y too.
Mova is the budget version but other than that they're basically identical.. I don't know where you're getting your info lol. You can literally take motors/brushes/sensors/subassemblies from some versions of let's say dreame and install them in roborock and vice versa... There's very small differences between all those companies.
its a total gamble. had a no-name brand beformy mova vacuum and it was a disaster. spending a bit more on a known brand is 100% worth it for the brainy features. excited to see what they have on sale for black friday.
personally I’ve tried ecobot / debot (?) and roborock, and I’ve had much better performance/reliability/navigation with roborock. I just got a Mova (same company as Dreame apparently) and used it for two days and it seems good so far - app not as good but fine, navigation maybe not quite as good, and hardware might be slightly more “sloppy” - like noisy, clunky, etc., but seems good overall. Actually the Mova seems to have better object recognition probably, although it doesn’t deal with carpets as well so far. anyway….. my experience is that roborock is pretty solid.. other ones, there are good ones I’m sure, but I would be more cautious and read a lot of reviews.
There's no way the Flow or Aqua leaves more water on the floor than an actual mop. The track-style mop pad or roller just doesn't hold as much water as a regular kitchen mop and their onboard water tanks are relatively small. The point of LVP is it's durable and waterproof. If you had actual hardwood, I would understand the concern but not LVP. If your LVP was installed correctly, you shouldn't have an issue.
