A 10-3/4 ounce can of Campbell's soup is right about 4 inches. P10 gen 2 is about 4.09 inch 103.9 mm. p10 gen 1 is about 97mm high. Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A Height of 9.79 cm=97.9mmm

I was hella disappointed in the gen 2, seems worse then the gen 1, probably the only good thing is that it’s gonna make the gen 1 price drop

They removed the camera at the front, so I’m pretty sure no obstacle avoidance, and the new brush you can just put on the gen 1. The suction is better, but I think it would be more worth it to save money and just get the gen 1 now that it will be cheaper

The camera lets it actually identify objects, without it it kinda just uses the laser to see if theres anything there, if you look from like the 6 minute mark and forward oin vacuum nerds new videos you can see that hte gen 2 is alot worse then the gen 1 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrSR\_geERmw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrSR_geERmw) (might be something they could possible fix in software tho i just dont know)

Yeah, thats what i was thinking, to me obstacle avoidance is pretty important cause its pretty helpful if the robot doesn't eat cables.

Brand new prob mova p10 pro ultra gen 2 Refurbished you could do with a old flagship of dreame like the x40 Roborocks budget models are absolutely shit, they don’t get decent unless you spend at least 600+, and don’t get really good unless u spend 800+, if you wanna save money, just go for a diff brand. There are pluses to spending extra on a Roborock, like better customer support and they just feel more premium sometimes, but I would highly recommend just going for a diff brand unless u tryna spend 800+

I don’t know the exact price but it seems to be like 500-600. If you want a brand new option, the MOVA is a good choice, if you want a camera, the gen 1 has One, but it has slightly worse cleaning.

The robot still has lidar for navigation, it’s mainly for obstacle avoidance, most robots use a camera and like image detection to find objects, the MOVA gen 2 has Some sorta obstacle avoidance sensor at the front that can only tell if there’s something in front, so it can’t like go around and find pets or identify obstacles, all it can do is sense them. Camera detection can be better or worse It all depends on the model, but if you don’t need a camera for pets or anything, I think the gen 2 is perfectly fine.

Mova p10 pro ultra, nothing as good for this price point (Gen 2 if you want better cleaning, gen 1 if you want better obstacle avoidance) Edit: ignore what I said about the gen 1, js get the gen 2

Mova p10 pro ultra gen 2 probably, don’t get the eufy, not having a extending side brush is pretty bad.

Eufy e25 is on sale right now for 599 on Amazon, if you can spend the lil bit extra, I would highly recommend it. It is a roller mop so kinda mop focus, but it will mop well for hardwood. If you really don’t want a mop that much you could also just get a mova p10 pro ultra gen 2. I would say look at vacuumwars.com You can look at their hair tangling tests and vacuumin tests.

Probably the Mova P10 Pro Ultra Gen 2, A lil over budget, but its def worth it in my opinion. You could also get hte gen 1 as its cheaper now.

That's a terrible recommendation for their case, they specifically said they want a roller, and the mova p10 pro gen 2 has terrible obstacle avoidance, which makes it more of a hassle to use.

I didnt really care about rollers, I tried a mova p10 gen 2, it kepts tryna eat all my cables, I just returned it and decided to just splurge and get CurvX that was on sale for 700-800 or smth like that.

Id say your best options are probably the Mova P10 Pro Ultra Gen 2 or the Roborock Curv S5x

Did u put a tri cut brush on it so it doesn’t get tangled? Or does it not really get tangled with the default rubber brush.

Obstacle avoidance on the gen 2 is shit. Its also not really worth the extra money for the gen 2 over the gen 1, its not thaat much of a boost in cleaning performance. If you want something better then the gen 1, you should just spend enough for the eufy e25, it usually goes on sale for 599.

You should probably return it if you just baught it, roomba as a brand is so far behind the other brand like dreame and Roborock and movva, that’s litterly why roomba went bankrupt. For around thr same price if not cheaper you can get the movva p10 pro ultra which has way more features

I’m not tryna be mean, but you should definetly try a brand like Roborock or dreame at least once, they are wayyyy better, roomba is so behind in the robot vacuum industry, that’s the reason they went bankrupt and were bought buy some other Chinese robot vacuum brand. The MOVA p10 pro ultra is very well priced, and has so many good features that roomba just doesn’t have even on their more expensive vacuums.

I would probably reccomend the mova p10 pro ultra, gen 1 if you want better obstacle avoidance, gen 2 if you want better cleaning.

It took away the rgb camera I think so costs savings to add in the other fancy upgrades. At least the image of the gen2 on amazon did not have the Ai text above the cameras spot anymore and was missing the night time fill led. 26,000 PA 1 Hour Eco Dry 212 Degree PTC Hot Mop Washing TurboPress Tech with 12N of pressure, 260RPM

I have heard bad things about the gen 2. Get the gen 1 if available. We love ours. Have had it since Black Friday.

If you have the budget get two of the Ultra 40 AE models. If not get two of the Mova P10. That’s the models I would have picked. I ended up due to budget with the p10 ultra. And so far love it.

Our neighbor has that shark and it’s trash. Can never find its homebase and doesn’t do jack for cleaning. And I am a a huge shark/ninja fan. We have a 22 week old frenchie and got the Mova P10 Pro Ultra and have really liked it.

There are actually a few robot vacuums in this price range now that feel surprisingly close to flagship models. Second vote for mova p10 gen2. I got mine not too long ago. It's said that it's the second-generation version of one of mova's most popular models. I compared it with the Dreame L40 Gen 2 and the Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A and I ended up going with it. On paper, it outperformed the other options and it also checked more boxes for you. The 26,000Pa suction is more than enough for pulling cat hair out of my carpets. It also washes the mop pads with hot water and dries them afterward, so it hasn't had any odor issues. As for edge cleaning, it works well with the cat litter in corners. Very occasionally, I might need to touch up a spot by hand. Another practical reason I chose it: it provides with a three-year warranty, while most brands only offer two.

How thick are your area rugs? Tassled? I've got a MOVA P10 Pro Ultra Gen 2. It does the mop pad lifting thing so as to not get your carpets wet, but the small mat in the bathroom has thick enough edges that they rull up under the vac. The similarly sized, but thinner and tassled rug in the kitchen is not an issue. This is a recent addition to the house (replacing a Shark), and I've been VERY impressed with it. With the caveat that robo vacs are 'maintenance', and that you still have to manually vacuum periodically, I was checking my stick vac for clogs because it's not pulling nearly as much 'left behind' dirt out of the carpet that it did after the Shark had a go. Full admit: I run it on max suction all the time because why wouldn't I? Cat population is 2 short, 1 long - hu-pop is 1 short, 3 long, and 1 is-that-you-miss-gayle. I got the optional "tri cut" brush (standard on the V50 model, I think) and haven't had a single hair tangle after 2+ weeks of daily vacuuming.

3 cats (2 shorthair, 1 longhair) 2 kids (1 shorthair, 1 working toward longhair) 1 kid's SO (very much longhair) 1 spouse (standard-ish longhair) 1 self (shorthair) A couple of weeks into ownership of the Mova P10 Pro Ultra Gen2, upgraded to the tri-cut brush. It's been game changing. Hair tangles burned out the 1st Wyze (daily vac, replaced under warranty, this was where I learned about maintaining the vac), so I was constantly monitoring/cleaning the 2nd Wyze until it died an unrelated death. The Shark (replaced the 2nd Wyze) was easier to remember to maintain because it's software is such a pile of gosa that I ran it manually instead of scheduling, but it's brush assembly was actually more of a pain to 'de-hair' than the Wyze Neither of those was self emptying. The P10 has been wonderful. What little bit of hair collects around 1 end falls off on it own, and is minimal. The few times I've paused the vac to look at its bin before emptying back into the dock, it's got the hair all in there. You didn't ask, but seeing you've got some hard flooring, the mopping action is very nice as well.

Apologies. Just realizing I wasn't completely clear. It was the reviews of the Gen1 that put me on that model, but I went with the Gen2 (no camera). On the gen2, the height of the object seems to make the most difference in my experience. If it's less than an inch. it'll probably roll over it. When my kid leaves his slippers in the middle of the floor of the kitchen hall, it will back up and go out the door it came in and to the 'other way around' the kitchen instead of through it. I've seen various reports that the gen1 is ***much*** better at object recognition, and others that say 'not so much'. My gen 2 will absolutely roll over/suck up cords and socks. Shoes are 'tall' enough for it to 'see'.

recently replaced my Shark Matrix (vacillating pad) with a MOVA P10 (circular rotating pads), and I couldn't be more pleased with both the vacuum and mop performance. This is the Gen 2, without the camera/ai (the gen 1 is less expensive, has camera/ai, and will 'go back and mop again' if it detects enough dirt being cleaned off the pads. The gen 2 has greater downward pressure on the pads, and I don't send it to clean spills/big messes.

The Mova P10 Pro Ultra removed the camera in the Gen 2, and there is a tri-cut brush/roller replacement available that looks like it actually cuts the hair as it wraps around.

I'm pretty please with the mopping performance of the gen 2. Thinking of picking up a set of the ThermoHold (tm) mop pads they made for the 60 whenever my first set wears out. I'm also pleasantly surprised at how much ***less*** my upright has been picking up since I got the P10.

I started with a Wyze back when the pre-sold them as being the least expensive bot that used LIDAR mapping. I really hated the way its mapping software forced my 'open air rooms' to have the weirdest geometry. There were also places in certain rooms were it would just get stuck. Just stop. It failed just inside its warranty, and they shipped me another one with no fuss. When that one failed just outside the warranty, I shopped around for a replacement. We have only minor moppable areas, so mopping wasn't a need, but I looked at it as an option. I found a review of a Shark Matrix that commented that it was the first of 3 the review tried that actually cleaned vs streaking, and we've always been pleased with the Shark uprights we've had, so I made the purchase. I would have never expected Shark to be so far BEHIND Wyze. The hardware is fine, and I love the 'matrix' mode that goes back over the room with a pattern perpendicular to the first one (spouse is a proponent of up/down, right/left, angled '3 pass', so this was a big step up in her estimation). But the software is just the gray mound of dirty snow over the burnt out husk of what was once a raging dumpster fire. It's just sad at this point in robovac tech that the only option available in their scheduling is "entire house once a day". I chose to not go with the self emptying docking station. This was a mistake, and there was more manual prep/cleanup to use the mopping function that just mopping the dang floor. I would fantasize about walking by as it was not falling down the steps and give it a nudge, so I could blame a faulty sensor. Spent a little time looking around and ran across JustADad's review series and his glowing praise for the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra. With this vac, I have something that I can define schedules with each room having it's own settings for vac/mop. I don't have to have the dock in the tiled space to keep the carpets dry (the P10 lifts its pads), and I can truly leave the vacuum unattended for vacuuming *and* mopping. There are some caveats for these as I've seen folks with dark/black carpets being seen as 'cliff edges'. I've got a couple of dark brown floor registers that my bot won't cross, and I managed to muck my map up enough with 'detail fiddling' that the bot went crazy for a short time, but a remap fixed that. I really didn't want have to do that, but MOVA's mapping is very fast, and it adjusts dynamically in ways that the Wyze and Shark just didn't/don't. It was so nice/problem free. I'm very *very* pleased with this unit.

I've got a much smaller/less complicated space than you, no dogs, 1/3 of the household cats are longhair, as well as 3/5 of the household humans. I've been using the MOVA P10, and following some advice opted for their 'tricut' brush that slices the hair as it wraps around so that it gets pulled into the collection. I'm not sure if Dreame offers anything similar, but I haven't had to detangle my robot in a couple of months now, which was a biweekly thing on my previous vacs.
