I think the best value robot for under 200 is probably the MOVA s10, it does have a mop but you can just not use it, it has pretty good suction for the price. It does not have a self empty bin or an automated dock tho, js a charging dock.
I wouldn't put too much trust in Roomba, first of all, Roomba went bankrupt because their robots were so much worse than their competitors, and nobody was buying them, and I'm decently confident that to have enough space to fit in that compactor thingie, they had to make some sacrifices when it comes to suction power. I think you should have a look at the Movva S10, it has some pretty good vacuuming for the price.
yup, honestly, i think the BARE minimum you should ever spend on a robovac is like a mova s10, mova has its own issues, but for like 150 bucks, tehre is no other good option from roborock or like any other big brands.
Nah I think those are more expensive, the mova s10 is like 150 bucks
ah alr, I think you could get like a good full size vacuum that has a mop mat too for the price, like the mova s10 is really good for the price, but options in the UK are kinda limited to idk what avalible there.
Bought one in the spring sale and for my first serious vacuum it has been excellent so far, we have a Mova S10 just vacuuming on another floor and it has helped so much.
I have the Dreame Mova s10 plus and it allows for at least 2 floors I map floor 1 then switch to multi map mode and then map floor 2 (floor without the station) it returns to the starting position (once finished mapping), then you can take it back to floor 1 and switch the map back to floor 1 and send it home. 1 base station 2 floors. \*typo edits
Had the S1 The Mova S10 is so much better at carpet cleaning It scored a 90 on Vacuum wars One of the highest ratings of all the robots they have tested it also got a 113 on the mopping, which was one of the highest scores as well. It also has lidar Only $109
You really don’t have to spend a ton to get a great robot. I have the Roborock q10 S5 and it is the best robot for carpet- it scored the highest on vacuum wars at 96. Since my porcelain floors are always clean the mop which vibrates at 3000 per minute really keeps them clean. I had a $1900 robot from 3i and a Eufy S1 I Omni and quite frankly the Roborock is way better. The Mova S10 this is a very close runner-up and can be bought for only $109 at Walmart.
Airflow is a volumetric flow rate, think Liters per second flowing through the robot. Pascals is a pressure, which is a force per unit area. You can have a very high suction pressure while moving a very small volume of air at a time. This wouldn't give you very good vacuuming performance. Any air duct acts like a restriction to the flow. A longer air path will act as a larger flow restriction reducing airflow rate through the system. So a short air path won't have to work as hard to maintain a high rate of airflow compared with a longer or more complex one, with a bunch of sharp turns and duct size changes. Air leaks can vary in location. Depending on placement of the suction motor, the duct from the suction motor to the actual dust bin may not be well sealed and it could be pulling in air from inside the robot chassis. This can vary widely by design and manufacturer of course. I meant this as an example, a manufacturer could claim high suction, measured at the motor, while air leaks elsewhere could reduce actual performance. If built correctly this shouldn't happen but design and quality flaws absolutely happen. Leaks could also occur between the nozzle base plate and the brush housing or even between the nozzle and the floor. One of my robots for insistence, the floating brush nozzle doesn't quite sit low enough and hovers just above hard floor surfaces. So it's performance on hard floors is terrible, the suction and brushes aren't contacting the floor correctly. This is an example of your last point I suppose, but I lump it in with the category of "air leaks". Every part of an air path matters, from the vacuum motor intake to the floor nozzle. My examples were a cheap mova (s10) and a 3i G10+. The 3i has a very long complex air pathway due to the compacting mechanism in the dust bin. It has a small, leaky filter. And the 3i has a slightly wider than usual brush opening. It struggled on my carpet with anything other than loose surface debris. Anything even slightly in the carpet pile, it didn't touch. The mova s10, despite having over 2x less suction on paper, is a much better performer on carpet. It has a short air path, a large filter surface area, smaller nozzle opening etc.
Mya S10R is a piece of junk. I am VERY disappointed. It has never cleaned well and now it is a waste of electricity to let it run. It does not avoid objects Ns it get stuck in weird places. Even the rotators have gotten clogged with my long hair. That wasn’t supposed to happen with this one.
