"Their object avoidance is far better than Roborock's. ... it makes up for it since you can reliably run it on a schedule without prepping your house."
"If there’s a threshold higher than 3cm, I’d recommend the MOVA V50 Ultra"
"Dreame and MOVA will be much better at avoiding cords than roborock."

"This is a very hands off robot as it cleans the filter, the mops, and the base station for you. ... It’ll dry the dustbin, dustbag, and mops to prevent mildew from growing."
"MOVA’s V50 ultra is the most hands off robot vacuum combo I can think of since it can clean its own filter and the washboard very well like the dreame X50 ultra but also be able to dry the dustbin and the dustbag to prevent any mold from growing in there."
"the MOVA V50 Ultra can dry it ’s dustbin and dustbag to prevent mildew unlike the other choices which brings it above the other robots"

"For pet fur, I’d prioritize the dreame X50 Ultra or the MOVA V50 Ultra (...) since it has a rather large dustbin at 395mL and has a fur compression feature that works so the dustbin won’t get as easily clogged with fur and also have empty space at the sides"
"As for fur tangling around the rollers, I wouldn’t worry about this issue for the dreame/eufy/roborock/MOVA models you’ve shown."
"I am aware that Dreame's L/X50 Ultra and any model (such as MOVA's V50 Ultra or the rare UK-only Dreame L40s Pro Ultra) that uses dual conical brushes has a *live fur compression* feature (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOOU0uJsVdU), which helps mitigate the issue of pet fur clogging the dustbin, even though the space isn't fully utilized. ... I saw it in action, and I think it lives up to its claim. ... It also cleans its filter when auto-emptying. ... This should be helpful for homes with heavy shedders suchs as yours~"

"The mopping has been improved with tilting mop pads (up to 5°) to automatically adjust to the floor level and can spin up to 260RPM over the X50’s maximum of 180RPM if it detects a liquid or dried on mess."
"It also comes with some duo solution thing that they claim will neutralize pet odors (I ’d love this feature and I think many other pet owners will as well)."
"If your pets are stinky, the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track or the MOVA V50 Ultra will be my recommendation as it has the duosolution detergent tank which means it can use a special odor neutralizing solution or your regular floor cleaning solution based on your preferences set in the app."

"Dreame/Eufy/MOVA/Roborock’s antitangle brushes that don’t need to cut the fur should all do equally well picking up fur and hair on carpets and hard floors."
"seems to clean carpets better than the X50 Ultra :)"

"Mopping: Mova Z60 or Ecovacs Deebot X8, X9, or T80 / Yeedi S14 > Mova Z50 > eufy E25 or E28 > Narwal Flow > Mova V50."
FWIW - I have the MOVA V50 as well (in addition to an S1 Pro). GREAT robot vac/mop albeit w/ extendable spinning pads. Mapping/navigation for me has been excellent. The battery drainage is suboptimal but manageable - I’ve heard the Z60 does a better job w/ battery consumption. As for the Z60, I’m not picky about a self-cleaning dirty water tank especially if it’s small, removable, and easy to access (rear of Z60). I also prefer the retractable/extending LIDAR format of the Dreame/MOVA brands over the Narwal Flow. The Flow seems like a good robot esp w/ the track style, just not sure in my reality of 2-3 scheduled mop sessions weekly that the track will outperform the roller to any notable degree. The track pads (Dreame/MOVA) have been implemented and marketed heavily in Asian markets as well, where I’m sure there’s generally more tiled and hard flooring (vs. carpets, hardwood, and engineered hard floors common in the US market).
r/RobotVacuums • Which would you choose? ->If you are willing to spend, get the Mova V50 Pro Ultra Complete. If not - the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra (brilliant value for money, got ours for about €750).
r/RobotVacuums • Need Real Feedback Before I Drop $$$ – Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Eufy… (or Others) - Help Me Decide ->Nice thanks for the link going with that one I love that it has dual roller brushes
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuums ->We just bought the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete last week (US version) and have been blown away by how well it has worked. We have 6 people and 4 dogs in the home and have it run a full cycle each night and has nearly eliminated all need to vacuum and mop at this point.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum/mop combo in the $500-$1000USD range? ->i will pick mova V50Ultra
r/RobotVacuums • Anyone tried those? Totally overwhelmed on prime day ->sure due to its powerful suction ,and I did try before , I will check if I can take some videos for you
r/RobotVacuums • Anyone tried those? Totally overwhelmed on prime day ->lol I will train it next time after it clean up the spilled protein powder
r/RobotVacuums • Anyone tried those? Totally overwhelmed on prime day ->oh it depands on the height of the thresholds . I guess 2-4cm is piece of cake to it
r/RobotVacuums • Anyone tried those? Totally overwhelmed on prime day ->I just got mine out of the box today. I used it right away despite it not being fully charged, which was to be expected. It vacuumed and mapped my 2 bdrm condo in about 1.5 hours. I then fully charged it and had it vacuum my living room area rug. It finished with only 53% charge left. I am now charging it again. I will say, I am surprised with how quiet it is as I was expecting it to be much louder. I am less than impressed with its vacuuming prowess so far, however. It does well enough on my hardwood, which thankfully is the majority of flooring. Definitely not so good on low pile area rugs though. It’s brand new, so there shouldn’t be any issues with it being clogged already. I was hoping to be able to test out its mopping capabilities tonight, but this is taking a lot longer than initially expected. Not too big of a deal if I’m at work and it’s capable of chugging away in the meantime, but that all remains to be seen yet. I should add that it is more than capable of making it over the “lips” between bedroom floor and hallway. It also made it over the raised trim around my fireplace, so points for that.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->Also, the accessories are pretty amazing. I found the hidden mop pads under the 3 extra bags included too lol. All in, there are 12 extra and 2 on the machine. 3 extra bags and 1 in the stand. As well as all the filters, etc that everyone else mentioned. Very impressed with the accessories. I was concerned about my animals tripping out with them mova, but my elderly dog barely bats an eye (she was eating and it was vacuuming beside her lol) and one of the cats enjoys stalking her new toy so far!
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I am a bit worried about replacing the amazing cleaning and pet solutions though. Does anyone else know where to get these online because I couldn’t find any before I bought the V50? Maybe I was looking as they were switching products though? Would be disappointed if I couldn’t replace those in the future is all.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->Mova V50 is overall best you can do nowdays. It has very few drawbacks compared to others.
r/RobotVacuums • If you had to choose between the Roborock QRevo CurvX & Mova V50 ultra, which would be your pick and why? ->A little late for this but I would go with the V50. Any model can have problems. I haven't tried the curvx but I tried 3 regular curvs and had to send them back. They dragged the mops when going back to the base. I haven't seen a lot of people mention that so maybe I was unlucky, 3 times in a row. The vacuum performance wasn't great either. I always vacuum before mop and there would be lots of pet hair in the base after mopping. I have the p50 and love it. Got it on sale for 799. I did have to send the first one back due to water pump issues, started in less than a week, but the one I have now has been going 2 months with no problem. Hardly, if any hair in the base after mopping. And my dust bag was full the first month. We have 3 highly shedding dogs and the roborock qrevo master does well but evidently the p50 does better. The roborock bag wouldn't be full the first month like this. And I have generic bags that work that are a lot less so it won't get so expensive to change. I have had no front wheel problem at all. Every manufacture can have problems. But if you need to deal with the warranty every time I have emailed Mova with a question or when the water pump went bad, they got back to me the same day almost every time but always within 24hrs. And not during the middle of the night like Roborock then you have to wait until the next night to email you back. Roborock was never a problem with me for warranty work it's just the process takes a while due to the response email coming in the middle of the night. Sorry so long but hope this helps.
r/RobotVacuums • If you had to choose between the Roborock QRevo CurvX & Mova V50 ultra, which would be your pick and why? ->To me personally it doesn't matter how much battery life is left at the end of it's job. It finished the job so that's fine. To test the resume cleaning I set the robot to max+ double pass on about 1000sq home knowing it would eat the battery. It went to recharge to resume and in about an hr it resumed and finished the job. It doesn't matter to me how long it takes for the job. I got it so I could be busy with something else and that's what I do. But again, that's me. Different people have different expectations.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I have the ultra complete V50, it works really well
r/RobotVacuums • Help with choosing - Roborock/Dreame/Mova ->V50 Ultra Is really a good robot with Proleap System and AceClean dryboard but...I would still take the Z50 Ultra just for the way better mopping even though it doesn't have the Proleap System
r/RobotVacuums • CES just dropped a ton of new robot vacuums—where are we headed? ->I purchased a Mova V50 and a Eufy e25 to compare. In my experience the v50 was easier to clean/maintain and much better edge mopping. I noticed the e25 didn’t dry its mop aswell either, leaving behind a stench.
r/RobotVacuums • Which of these two kinds of Robot Vacuum Mop you think is better? ->It you have rugs/carpets with pets that shed than the mova. If not than the curvx.
r/RobotVacuums • If you had to choose between the Roborock QRevo CurvX & Mova V50 ultra, which would be your pick and why? ->Price was the deciding factor for me. On prime day the mova was 949 and the saros was 1279. Factor in that I would need a 3 year warranty with the saros which would add another 129 dollars and then the 150 worth of free stuff mova sends you, it just didnt make sense to get the saros
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I bought a saros 10r and a mova V50 ultra complete on prime day to upgrade from a s7. I kept seeing review after review of how the saros just didn't do a good job vacuuming. The saros also ended up being 330 dollars more than thr mova during prime day. Adding a 3 year warranty to the saros (mova comes with a standard 3 year) cost another 129 and the mova came with an additional $200 dollars worth of accessories. I couldn't justify the price difference and sent the saros 10r back. So far we are very happy with the mova.
r/RobotVacuums • Talk me out of getting a Roborock Saros 10R ->My black Mova V50 is mostly matte. It's my #2 behind the Roomba j7/j9, those were really good looking robots.
r/RobotVacuums • Best designed robot vacuums, rank em | and why don't manufacturers care about the design? ->Awesome review! I'll add my quick two cents as well since I have also had both the E28 and now the V50 for about a week * I totally agree about your roller vs spinning mop assessment. I actually have found the V50 to mop significantly better in my house than the E28. My kitchen often has flour caked on the floor (messy partner). The E28 would leave big splotches of it every time, even when I had it mop the room twice. The V50 got it all in one go the first time. I also absolutely hate cleaning the E28's dirty water tank and roller, which you absolutely have to do weekly if you mop regularly because it gets very nasty. I really think now that roller mops are a gimmick that provides no advantage in normal household use * I found the E28's overall navigation to be better in some awkward rooms with a lot of furniture, but the V50 I found gets closer to edges much better * Object avoidance seems much better on the V50 so far. It has detected a lot more things than the E28 ever did in my house. One example, I have a rubber mat with small raised edges that I set cat food and water on. The E28 would want to steamroll over it every time and would get caught and spill the water dish, I had to add a no go zone. The V50 avoided it without issue first try. * I'm struggling to get the V50 to go under my bed, which it absolutely can fit if it lowers the lidar and is well within the advertised height. My testing on this so far has actually been concerning, it literally smacks its lidar on the bottom of the bedframe and won't go under, and I'm a bit worried it might damage itself. I know it can lower the lidar since it does it under my dressers, so still tinkering with settings to figure the bed issue out * I think Mova and Dreame has an issue with its wheels on models that can raise themselves. I was super impressed during its first run just how quiet it was, but after it lifted itself over a threshold the first time it now sounds like it's rattling on hardwood floors. I've heard similar stories from Mova and Dreame owners so I'm wondering if this is just to be expected. I'm going to open a support ticket for this
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I wasn't talking about when the wheels were being extended, I just mentioned I only noticed it after it used the raise feature the first time. It sounds like there's a wheel off balance, or out of sync, or something. Going to troubleshoot some more to see if something's caught in a wheel somewhere.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I got it working after adding a manual low lying space in the app, works great now.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->Great review! I'll add some of my thoughts too since I've also been using the E28 for a bit now. \- Completely agree about obstacle avoidance, I've found it to be the best in the business (I've owned Roombas, Roborocks, Movas, and this E28) Navigation is also excellent, efficiency is not quite as good as my Roborock QRevo but much better than my Mova V50 \- Vacuuming performance is excellent on hard floors and low pile carpet and rugs. The rollers work fantastic with hair. I definitely rate it a top tier vacuum among the robots I've had, though note I don't have any high pile carpet. \- Mopping performance is just "fine" to me, having owned multiple spinning style mops (a Roborock QRevo and Mova V50), I found those to be better at dried on stains. It's still a great mop though, and frankly this is just anecdotal. \- I feel like it does not get close enough to walls and furniture feet. \- It doesn't handle thresholds very well. I have a small threshold that's just big enough to typically give other robots problems too. The difference is the others usually figures it out by hitting it at higher speed and an angle after getting stuck. The E28 often just sits there spinning its wheels. I watched it do it for a whole minute once before intervening. \- The noise of the base when emptying is no joke and not over exaggerated. It's really loud. It doesn't really bother me, but it is a thing. \- The portable wet vac is nice to have but it's a bit unwieldy and I don't like that I have to take it off to get to the vacuum bag. It's a bit touchy to get it set on the base properly. It gets the job done for what I wanted it for, but in retrospect I wish I had just got the E25. \- The biggest downside to me is the dirty water tank on the robot and the roller mop maintenance. As a plus, the updated water tank does appear to stop the spilling and drips. However, the tank and roller itself are a complete pain to clean. And you have to clean them regularly, especially the tank as it gets very nasty if you mop regularly.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy e28 review ->My Roomba is previous gen w/ no LIDAR and is retired. Roborock LIDAR is broken so it's collecting dust right now. I'm swapping between the E28 and V50 to figure out which one I want to keep.
r/RobotVacuums • Eufy e28 review ->Jamie Andrews did say dreame was working on a very similar robot to the MOVA Z50 Ultra but based on the X50 Ultra so it may come with even better vacuuming with the double brushes with a name that is too long to remember (I’ll shorten it to dualstream). Absolutely hated that arm thing. Gimmick was a waste of R&D funds until it matures into an actual solution that can help the physically disabled and the elderly. I would have preferred a better self cleaning design where they can clean the brushes and side brushes to turn it into nearly maintenance free. The MOVA V50 Ultra is also worth taking a look at. It’s the only combo bot that I am aware of that can change the type of mop pads (3 are in the station) through the MopCarousel system to better suit the floor type. It also comes with some duo solution thing that they claim will neutralize pet odors (I’d love this feature and I think many other pet owners will as well). It’s basically a souped up X50 Ultra.
r/RobotVacuums • Honest Dreame X50 Ultra (Pro) review - tl;dr included ->The MOVA V50 can also climb and seems to clean carpets better than the X50 Ultra :)
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a Robot Vacuum That Can Handle High-Pile Carpet with Rounded Edges ->Models with conical anti-tangling brushes + live fur compression that works will be what I'll prioritize in a robot. Since your dogs shed a lot, I recommend the Dreame X50 Ultra or the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete, depending on which one is available. If both are available, I'd choose the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete for the DuoSolution tank, which allows you to add a regular floor mopping detergent and a pet odor-focused detergent for deeper cleaning to eliminate dog smells. Both models have live hair compression in the dustbin when it vacuums to best utilize the space and means the dustbin won't be functionally clogged from the inlet to the filter area but with space to spare on the sides (this has happened several times to my robot vacuum and I only have one corgi) and this has been proven to work.
r/RobotVacuums • Best One? ->MOVA’s one is honestly the most innovative. Switching mops based on floor type wow. Eureka’s transparent stain detection seems good in theory but Midea’s real life application track record has been rather spotty. I hope that changes for them.
r/RobotVacuums • CES just dropped a ton of new robot vacuums—where are we headed? ->>The flagship Mova V50 Ultra features \[...\] a MopSwap Hub in the base station, which houses three types of mop pads in a carousel that the robot can automatically equip. The mop pads specialize in tile floors, hardwood, and general cleaning. >A retractable track-type mop can extend to clean corners and edges along carpets, a technology Mova calls RoboSwing FlexTrack. When the robot is near hard-to-reach spots, like a corner, the mop extends to clean them and then retracts to continue general mopping. The V50 Ultra also features an extendable side brush to direct dust and debris from corners towards the nozzle. This flagship robot vacuum can also tackle up to 2.3-inch (5.8-5.9cm) high thresholds. >The Mova Z50 Ultra features warm water mopping up to 36ºC to tackle stubborn stains on hard floors and an AI-powered cleaning strategy to detect varying dirt levels. This robot vacuum and mop can even fluff its mop pads in real time to maintain cleaning efficiency. [https://www.zdnet.com/home-and-office/kitchen-household/the-best-vacuum-and-mop-combination-ive-tested-is-from-a-company-youve-never-heard-of/](https://www.zdnet.com/home-and-office/kitchen-household/the-best-vacuum-and-mop-combination-ive-tested-is-from-a-company-youve-never-heard-of/)
r/RobotVacuums • CES just dropped a ton of new robot vacuums—where are we headed? ->The V50 Ultra apparently can switch the mops and some side mop to get closer to carpets. Can’t confirm this through nova’s website but I’ll still take the MOVA Z50 Ultra as well.
r/RobotVacuums • CES just dropped a ton of new robot vacuums—where are we headed? ->Narwal flow’s release seems to have been delayed due to faults discovered by beta testers. I’d recommend waiting for the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track if you want to wait. Below is a comparison photo testing how the Narwal Flow (top panels) compares with the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track (bottom panels) when cleaning carpet with the optimal carpet settings turned on (cleaning twice in a checkerboard pattern and Narwal flow’s pressurized cleaning head being activated). Dreame’s track type roller mop (which was fine tuned over time with MOVA’s G20, G30, and the Z50 Ultra) also seems to be the leading solution since it can exert 18N of pressure when mopping (the most exerted by a roller mop robot and MOVA Z50 Ultra does the same) and can mop with warm water thanks to an onboard water heater heating it up to 45°C (Narwal’s 36°C claim is from the warm water filled at the station). https://preview.redd.it/ej07u60mjk5f1.jpeg?width=1436&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d20f83c2d8b38f54734ef4980fa94c1ff31bde87 Since you live in a home that is rather dusty, I’d check out the dreame L40S Ultra, L40S Pro Ultra, L/X50 Ultra and the MOVA V50 Ultra for the filter self cleaning function when autoemptying. Due to size constraints and the addition of a track type roller mop, the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track uses a different autoempty system and lacks the filter self cleaning function. If there’s a threshold higher than 3cm, I’d recommend the MOVA V50 Ultra, Dreame X50 Ultra, and the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track. If choosing between the MOVA V50 Ultra and the Dreame X50 Ultra, the MOVA V50 Ultra is the better flagship for near-identical models as the vacuuming performance was improved over the x50 Ultra and has the duosolution detergent tank which is well suited for homes needing odors to neutralize since there’s another tank for odor neutralizing detergent. The fact that it can dry the dustbin and dustbag is also a plus for mildew control. The mopping has been improved with tilting mop pads (up to 5°) to automatically adjust to the floor level and can spin up to 260RPM over the X50’s maximum of 180RPM if it detects a liquid or dried on mess. If you want a roller mop robot right now, the eufy E25/E28 or the MOVA Z50 Ultra is a good choice. The MOVA Z50 Ultra will mop more thoroughly though and will know when to clean its mops better with the onboard turbidity sensor facing the mop. If you want to compare the MOVA Z50 Ultra to the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track, the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track should be slightly better for raw mopping performance (only difference is warmer water when mopping), better edge cleaning with an extendable mop (still not as good as spinning mops which is common for roller mop robots with an extending mop), better at antitangling with the double anti tangle brushes (both models’ mop scrapers are comb shaped to help with any potential tangles and I haven’t seen this on roller mop robots from other brands), much better self cleaning (100°C mop cleaning with a PTC plate, dustbin and dustbag drying, and the duosolution tank), better vacuuming, much better obstacle avoidance from the binocular RGB cameras that avoids obstacles without needing to backtrack like all other Dreame and MOVA models and it seems Dreame’s obstacle avoidance is now on par with the Narwal Freo z based on Chinese KOL reviews, and much better obstacle climbing with the ProLeap system .
r/RobotVacuums • Unstoppable lack of decision ->How tall is the piece of transition? For a single one up to 30mm, the roborock models with the AdaptiLift chassis (the most expensive QRevo Curv/Edge and the Saros line). Anything higher up to 4.2cm, if a threshold is less than 9cm long (5.2cm if it is at least 9cm long), will need the Dreame X50 Ultra or any equivalent MOVA model (V50 Ultra). I am aware that Dreame's L/X50 Ultra and any model (such as MOVA's V50 Ultra or the rare UK-only Dreame L40s Pro Ultra) that uses dual conical brushes has a *live fur compression* feature (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOOU0uJsVdU), which helps mitigate the issue of pet fur clogging the dustbin, even though the space isn't fully utilized. I saw it in action, and I think it lives up to its claim. It also cleans its filter when auto-emptying. This should be helpful for homes with heavy shedders such as yours\~ For paw prints, I think a robot that can identify messes like this and act accordingly would be important too. Dreame and Narwal do well with this if you turn on certain functions, such as their smart cleaning mode and intelligent mess detection.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum/mop for two dogs who shed a lot ->This is definitely not exclusive on the ecovacs X9 pro omni. Ecovacs is late to this feature. Models that can do this well: Dreame’s L/X40 Ultra and newer (assuming there’s an RGB camera), Narwal Freo Z Ultra; Roborock Saros series and CurvX, MOVA P10 Pro Ultra, P50 Pro Ultra, Z50 Ultra, V50 Ultra
r/RobotVacuums • Robot Vac/mop sensing feature? ->Eufy is not mentioned because it does not have this capability. Best mopping: Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track and the MOVA Z50 Ultra has the best raw mopping performance. If your pets are stinky, the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track or the MOVA V50 Ultra will be my recommendation as it has the duosolution detergent tank which means it can use a special odor neutralizing solution or your regular floor cleaning solution based on your preferences set in the app. The MOVA V50 Ultra does mop better than the Dreame X50 Ultra because it can spin its mops up to 260rpm when it detects dried on stains and liquids and because it has a new mop pad holder that basically has suspension as it can go up 2mm and down 1mm downwards and tilt up to 5° to put as even pressure as possible on uneven floors. Honorable mention: Narwal Freo Z Ultra. Shame it cannot lift its side brushes. Variable mopping pressure of 8-12N but pales in comparison to the 18N of mopping pressure by the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track and the MOVA Z50 Ultra. Best software for detecting liquids and appropriately dealing with them: Dreame L/X40 and newer including the Aqua 10 pro track based on reviews. The MOVA Z50 ultra and the other MOVA models mentioned are also pretty good too at detecting liquids. Previously mentioned Roborock and Narwal models also seem to do well. I think all the models I mentioned should be on par for automatic remopping. Hardware: All models I mentioned should have a solid build quality.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot Vac/mop sensing feature? ->It depends on tall your thresholds are: For single thresholds: Up to 2cm: most modern robots can cross with no difficulty Up to 2.2cm: Dreame L/X40 Ultra. The dreame models with the EasyLeap wheels (L40S Ultra/Pro Ultra and the L50 Ultra) can cross the first threshold up to 2.2cm and a secondary threshold right after up to 1.8cm Up to 3cm: roborock models with the AdaptLift chassis. It can cross a single threshold up to 3cm and a secondary threshold right after up to 1cm. Up to 3.5cm: the MOVA P60 Pro Ultra (mainland china only for now) has active suspension like the roborock Adaptlift chassis and the EasyLeap edge climbing wheels to climb a single threshold up to 3.5cm and a secondary threshold up to 3.5cm. Up to 4.2cm: Dreame X50 Ultra, Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track, and the MOVA V50 Ultra all can cross a single threshold up to 4.2cm if the threshold is shorter than 9-10cm (5.2cm if the threshold is sufficiently long enough) and a secondary threshold up to 1.8cm.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robovac that'll cross thresholds? ->In Singapore, I’d totally recommend the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track Ultra if you want heated mopping and the vacuuming performance from the MOVA V50 Ultra and the mopping from the MOVA Z50 Ultra.
r/RobotVacuums • Need Help Choosing Robot Vacuum in Singapore (Dreame vs Ecovacs vs Roborock) ->The best self cleaning models can also clean the base station’s mop washboard and the vacuum’s filter. I’d recommend these ones which can do this: Currently the best at self cleaning: the MOVA V50 Ultra can dry it’s dustbin and dustbag to prevent mildew unlike the other choices which brings it above the other robots Almost there: Dreame L/X50 Ultra, L40S Ultra/Pro Ultra In the middle: MOVA P50 Pro Ultra Pretty okay at self cleaning: MOVA P10 Pro Ultra, Dreame L/X40, roborock models with the motorized scrapers, Narwal models with an all in one base station.
r/Dreame_Tech • Buy L10s Pro UH or go higher? ->Roomba isn't the best at combo robots compared to Roborock and Dreame which make better all-rounded combos. Roborock seems to be rather reliable. I'd also consider MOVA's V50 Ultra which is better suited for pet households since there's the ability for the robot to choose between regular cleaning solution and a pet-odor neutralization solution! I consider the V50 Ultra to be an upgrade over the X50 Ultra. Alternatively, I'd wait for Dreame's Aqua 10 Pro Track to release, as it appears to be the best overall combination robot vacuum and mop with a roller mop. :)
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robotic vacuum and mop ->H14 is better for deep cleaning messes and the robot is better for maintaining that cleanliness. Many robots are rather quiet now, especially at the normal suction mode. MOVA’s V50 ultra is the most hands off robot vacuum combo I can think of since it can clean its own filter and the washboard very well like the dreame X50 ultra but also be able to dry the dustbin and the dustbag to prevent any mold from growing in there. It also helps that the debut price should be 999 USD in the US and that both the x50 and the V50 are really quiet when running.
r/RobotVacuums • H14 vs a robot vac — which one’s better for a quiet, low-maintenance lifestyle? ->Isn’t there the MOVA V50 Ultra at 999? It’s even quieter than the Dreame X40 and has a bigger dustbin than the X40 ultra at 395ml and can compress fur in the dustbin as it vacuums, perfect for heavy shedding pet households. I’d recommend this one over the dreame x50 ultra mainly because it’s cheaper and it’s an enhanced version of the x50 ultra.
r/RobotVacuums • Help me choose: Narwal Freo Z Ultra vs. Roborock S8 MaxV vs. Dreame X40 Ultra. ->Bigger dustbin + good use of dustbin when it comes to fur (no empty space should be in the dustbin when fur clogs it) + frequent autoemptying = better for dealing with hair and fur. For a vacuum only model, the roborock Q5 Max+ and the Q8 Max+ have a sizeable dustbin and uses the dustbin space well and has an autoempty station. The dual rollers help with fur pickup. In the US Dreame’s L/X50 Ultra fulfills these requirements as a combo model. So does the MOVA V50 Ultra for Canadian customers. The QRevo series has the same issue with some dreame models where the dustbin will be clogged with fur but there’ll be a lot of empty space on the sides. It’ll be good for picking up fur on carpets with its dual brushes but I think the eufy X8 should be better for dealing with finer dust.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum today for pets? ->Dreame and MOVA will be much better at avoiding cords than roborock. Both Dreame and roborock will definitely avoid pet puke. I’m not so sure about eufy but their cord avoidance should be alright. For pet fur, I’d prioritize the dreame X50 Ultra or the MOVA V50 Ultra (999 debut price if you sign up to their mailing list) since it has a rather large dustbin at 395mL and has a fur compression feature that works so the dustbin won’t get as easily clogged with fur and also have empty space at the sides (see the attached photo). This seems to be an issue with the dustbin on the dreame/MOVA models using the X40’s dustbin like the MOVA P50 Pro Ultra and the Roborock QRevo models. https://preview.redd.it/7c1epilq82af1.png?width=1346&format=png&auto=webp&s=d15280bdd75310e1d87e2557a9f350b20c85b02d As for fur tangling around the rollers, I wouldn’t worry about this issue for the dreame/eufy/roborock/MOVA models you’ve shown. Do note that any cuts in the rubber flaps on the antitangle brushes will mean the antitangle ability is deactivated and you’d have to change the brushes.
r/RobotVacuums • Which model is best at obstacle avoidance and not tangling hair? ->As for hair pickup on carpet, I think the Dreame dual brushes generally do better picking up hair on carpet than the Dreame/MOVA TriCut brush on the P50 Pro ultra. Dreame/Eufy/MOVA/Roborock’s antitangle brushes that don’t need to cut the fur should all do equally well picking up fur and hair on carpets and hard floors. I’d recommend a robot that removes its mops for carpet as I find that lifted mops on carpets generally drag on it, collecting fur and dirt while negatively affect cleaning performance. As for mopping, ecovacs’ X8 isn’t really worth looking at given the other models already available (not in the US yet) that mop much better than it. Eufy’s E25/E28 should do better as a roller mop robot. For the spinning mop robots, MOVA’s V50 Ultra and the roborock flagships should be pretty evenly matched. X50 ultra doesn’t put enough water even at the max level which isn’t great for dried on stains.
r/RobotVacuums • Which model is best at obstacle avoidance and not tangling hair? ->I’d recommend the MOVA V50 Ultra https://ca.mova.tech/products/mova-v50-ultra-complete-robot-vacuum and will recommend it over the dreame X50 Ultra especially if your floors need better mopping, you want to neutralize pet odors, and it has better vacuuming than the X50 Ultra. This is a very hands off robot as it cleans the filter, the mops, and the base station for you. It’ll dry the dustbin, dustbag, and mops to prevent mildew from growing.
r/RobotVacuums • Suggestions for engineered hardwood floor ~1100 square feet, cats, and ruggables ->So sorry it’s going to be released June 20th in canada with a discount if you put their email in. I don’t know the retail price though. Other models with the fur compression feature is the Dreame X50 Ultra and the L40S Ultra (no RGB camera).
r/RobotVacuums • Suggestions for engineered hardwood floor ~1100 square feet, cats, and ruggables ->The x9 Omni doesn’t have as long of a warranty compared to 3-5 years for dreame and MOVA products. I’d wait a few days to see what price the MOVA V50 Ultra will be sold at.
r/RobotVacuums • Suggestions for engineered hardwood floor ~1100 square feet, cats, and ruggables ->For dreame/mova models: V50 ultra complete > l40s pro ultra > p50 pro ultra > x40ultra
r/RobotVacuums • Am I choosing correctly? ->I have a long haired corgi who I suspect is part alien for how big he is! I sometimes check the dustbin before it autoempties and *wow* that’s a lot of fur that would have choked my old robot up which is why I’d run my old one twice a day. I can now run my new one once a day. I use a similar model too, the MOVA v50.
r/RobotVacuums • Why the Dreame x50 is the absolute best robotic vacuum I've ever used! ->If your cats shed a lot I’d recommend the Dreame/MOVA models with fur compression since they are currently the best combo (models that can vacuum and mop) robots when it comes with fur. I have a long haired corgi who sheds and drools everywhere and a robot has been so helpful. He never tidies up his toys too so it’s helpful seeing my new robot not get caught up by them. MOVA, a fighter/flanker subbrand of dreame, sent me their MOVA V50 Ultra Complete in return for writing a review on it. I genuinely think it’s a robot that’ll do great for homes that have pets, especially those with pets that are on the very fluffy and furry side. You can read the review here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/
r/RobotVacuums • Need some advice (new to robot vacuums) ->I’m flattered! I think Labor Day sales should bring it below 1000. As for carpet fringe, the robot should automatically avoid it and go around it. Do put a no-go zone just in case if you want it to clean the carpets This German reviewer tested with a small rug that has fringes and it was able to avoid it. English voiceover and closed captions are available https://youtu.be/K2vDUZkfFkA? I think pet mess avoidance should be pretty good on this robot. I never expect any robot to be 100% at this but the MOVA has been pretty good at this aspect. My corgi doesn’t make messes other than fluff and drool and the robot will appropriately label something as an uncleanable mess.
r/RobotVacuums • Need some advice (new to robot vacuums) ->It should be the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete. https://us.mova.tech/products/mova-v50-ultra-complete-robot-vacuum
r/RobotVacuums • The MOVA V50 Pro Ultra — Vacuum Wars' New #1 Robot Vacuum ->I’m so confused by the obstacle avoidance. It worked perfectly fine in the dark at my home and avoided cables and even my dog’s puke. Maybe firmware differences could explain this? I’m on 1930.
r/RobotVacuums • The MOVA V50 Pro Ultra — Vacuum Wars' New #1 Robot Vacuum ->Could you check if the X50’s dustbin fits in the V50’s dust bin compartment? If so, the dustbin will be 395ml, just curious.
r/RobotVacuums • The MOVA V50 Pro Ultra — Vacuum Wars' New #1 Robot Vacuum ->I have absolutely no clue which is why I asked vacuumwars to see if the x50’s dustbin fits in the v50’s dustbin for This reason.
r/RobotVacuums • The MOVA V50 Pro Ultra — Vacuum Wars' New #1 Robot Vacuum ->I’d totally recommend the MOVA v50 ultra for homes that are blanketed in fur shedders! I have a long haired corgi and I love how the fur compression wasn’t a gimmick and actually worked. MOVA sent me their MOVA v50 ultra to test and post about and here’s my review that shows the fur compression and other pet stuff in action. You can bring this model up to vacuum first, bring it back down to autoempty, wash the mops at the station and bring it down once after one or two rooms are mopped to clean the mops. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendation - vacuuming and mopping ->My long haired corgi does the same with his own “beard” (or is mane a more appropriate term?) and we have very high gloss white and light gray tiles with him tracking him tons of dirt, leaf, and wood debris simply because he’s built like a living duster. I was recently gifted the MOVA v50 ultra by MOVA in exchange for making content on Reddit. I was pleasantly surprised by all the fur it picked up just a day after my old robot ran. I really like the fur compression feature and how antitangle it is, the option to use a pet odor neutralization solution to wash the mops (floors now don’t smell like stinky dog but stinky dog still smells like stinky dog) and a regular mopping solution, and the dustbin and dustbag drying has prevented dust mites from growing which usually show up in a day after use. My family members work from home, often taking calls, and they constantly praise how it’s quiet enough to pass as a fan when vacuuming so they’ll let it run when on a call and it’s much quieter mopping. The only tradeoff in comparison to my old one is that it’s quite power hungry! But since I can leave it alone and do its own thing and hasn’t gotten stuck in places where my old robot always got stuck, I don’t really mind that it’s power hungry. My little Machiavelli, the prince of taking fur and drool away. Here’s a pic of the dustbin compression in action. https://preview.redd.it/niy5jdb9s8ef1.png?width=2879&format=png&auto=webp&s=a95c8cd8b81a5a66c96146680bf9142ff6978652 Roborock is also good. The models you’re checking are last gen or budget ones. Robrocok’s vibrarise (may be the best vibrating mops) and spinning mops are pretty good and their app UI and navigation is arguably one of the best. Obstacle avoidance isn’t the best, not so great for cables but I’m not sure about how it does for clothes. It should still do pretty okay since they’re more obvious than cables. What about the Narwal Freo Z ultra? It has the best spinning mops out of all the spinning mops, arguably the best cleaning mode, also has dustbin and dustbag drying (currently I think only MOVA V50 ultra and the Narwal models offer this feature). The only tradeoff is that it’s very water hungry (not power hungry this time) so larger homes should connect it to plumbing.
r/RobotVacuums • Which is the best vacuum+mop robot as of July 2025 (budget of around $1300/£1000)? ->Narwal’s main weakness is vacuuming. Unfortunately I’ve only tried the MOVA v50 ultra but not the z50 ultra. The z50 ultra’s main strength is its raw mopping capability. This is with just one pass and after two passes of this reviewer’s grimy toilet, it was clean save for the edges which the roller mop couldn’t clean (the mini side mop is best suited for fine dust, not grime like this). https://preview.redd.it/yif1tamvh9ef1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=445463051a4a44659348de83456db492892c1a5b The V50 ultra’s main strength is its more balanced vacuuming and mopping capabilities, better self cleaning for lower maintenance, and does better with fur than the z50 which has the dustbin design which can clog with fur in the middle but have empty space on the sides. As a spinning mop robot, it mops pretty well since it can tilt the mops for more even pressure on uneven floors. Here’s a pretty good German review of it(autodubs and subtitles are available): [https://youtu.be/QQSaBQJof\_0](https://youtu.be/QQSaBQJof_0) I ran it on CleanGenius vacuum first then mop in my kitchen after cooking and the greasy floors because literally squeaky clean. I really like the dustbin and dustbag drying feature in your situation. So even if the robot vacuums up dried food marks or treat crumbs, the dustbin and dustbag will be hot enough to discourage mold growth which leads to gross smells. As previously mentioned, the Narwal robots can do this too.
r/RobotVacuums • Which is the best vacuum+mop robot as of July 2025 (budget of around $1300/£1000)? ->Generally for maintenance you’d need to tap the dust out of the dustbin filter once every few cleaning runs (you need to do it after every run for the first few times using the robot). Youd have to give it a good rinse once every week or every two weeks and let it dry for at least 24 hours You’d also have to wipe down any dust and/or mud once every two weeks or so. Once every month, you’d need to wash the dustbin and let it dry completely for at least 24 hours. To prevent annoying to clean mud, run the robot to vacuum first then mop. The dreame L/X50, the L40S Ultra/Pro Ultra and the MOVA P50S Ultra and the MOVA V50 Ultra can clean their dustbin filter when autoemptying which helps remove the need to tap the dust out of the filter. For combo models with an all in one base station. You’d also have to refill and empty the dirty water tanks (best to rinse them every time you do so) as soon as they get empty or get full and give the dirty water tank a good scrub with dish soap once in a while. Odor can be an issue. I recommend adding a silver ion module to the clean water tank and dirty water tank and a deodorization module to the dirty water tank to reduce needed maintenance and any bacterial biofilm from forming. With these modules, please rinse the dirty water tank’s modules every time you empty it. Please don’t leave the dirty water tank alone for more than 2 days as mold and gross bacteria can grow in there.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum fits my situation the best? ->Oh wow that’s a great price then. The x50 ultra is a pretty good choice. There’s also the MOVA V50 ultra which has a basically smaller base station and can dry the dustbin and dustbag which is good at helping prevent mildew and mold growing there if your region is rather humid.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum fits my situation the best? ->Yep the MOVA v50 is basically an upgraded x50 with a smaller dustbin which should be fine in your situation. If getting cats, the duosolution detergent tank that also supports a pet odor neutralization solution can be helpful.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum fits my situation the best? ->Then the x50 will be a better deal than the MOVA. sometimes the MOVA V50 is cheaper which is why I also recommend it. MOVA is a subbrand of dreame. The V50’s consumables should be cross compatible with dreame’s consumables. Not sure about the filter though.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum fits my situation the best? ->MOVA sent me their MOVA V50 ultra as part of their Reddit collaboration program in return for a review. I have a long haired corgi that sheds everywhere and I’d often wake up with a facial mask of his fur before we had our first robot vacuum. You can read my review here. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/KkEdwEU2wp
r/RobotVacuums • Need recs for best robot vacuums for pet hair. ->I was actually expecting the fur compression feature to not work but it did to my surprise. https://preview.redd.it/18npcz138knf1.png?width=2856&format=png&auto=webp&s=a54aad51912aa574431466b2f3ac5a2d71c20cdf
r/RobotVacuums • Need recs for best robot vacuums for pet hair. ->If it’s all hard floors, I’d keep the Z50 ultra for its much better mopping. The main selling point of the P50 is that it’s an x40 ultra with the JetSpray dryboard.
r/RobotVacuums • Help Me Decide: Mova P50 vs. Z50 Robot Vacuum (130 Euros Price Difference) ->I’d recommend the MOVA v50 ultra mainly for the fur compression feature and the other features which I think actually work for homes with pets. MOVA sent me the MOVA v50 in exchange for making content about it. I wrote an honest semi-review of it. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/ There are other models with the fur compression feature such as the Dreame l50 pro ultra/ultra, the x50 ultra, and the l40s ultra/pro ultra. However the MOVA v50 has more upgrades which are helpful such as dustbin and dustbag drying and the duosolution tank which is why I recommend it over the x50.
r/RobotVacuums • Planning to buy my first robot vacuum, I plan to go for a flagship model. What would you all recommend? ->Budget? Love how the MOVA v50 ultra does great with my long haired corgi’s fur but not so much a fan of how quickly it eats its battery. MOVA sent me their V50 in return for making content. Here’s my honest semi-review of it. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/
r/RobotVacuums • Purchasing Recommendations ->MOVA v50 ultra will have more features than the l50 ultra and is better suited for homes with pets as it has the duosolution tank, better mopping, and dustbin/dustbag drying. MOVA is the fighter/flanker subbrand of dreame so their flagship offerings may not always be as expensive as the Dreame flagship but offer different features.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova v50 ultra complete vs dreame l50 ultra ->Mine came with TWELVE extra mops. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of accessories they gave since they gave it to me as a gift in exchange for content on Reddit. Maybe the other two mops are hiding somewhere. https://preview.redd.it/z0mw9x5z5ief1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a766c35ec94a0e00c5dec7bcc633de9262c59204
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I do not hear a rattling noise when the ProLeap/StepMaster wheels are used but rather mechanical whirring when it is raising its legs and lowering them. As for roller mops, I do think they can be better especially for liquid messes but it really depends on how a brand implements it. Did you use the stain recognition function? Super cool knowing the robot spun its mops way faster up to 260rpm (180rpm is so quiet that background noise easily drowned it out) with a low hum(?).
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->Even though I received this as a gift from MOVA in exchange for creating content on Reddit I’m not a fan of the battery life too! My home is nowhere near 1000sqft that most people describe having and want a robot yet it’s below 50% after a simple vacuum run on standard suction. Finishes its vacuum first then mop run at like 20 something percent. I’ve also calculated the battery efficiency in my home (performance will vary based on how complex and big your home is) Vacuuming on standard suction and standard pathing: 0.972sqm (10.5sqft) cleaned for every 1% consumed Mopping on standard pathing and moisture level set to 16/32 : 2.07sqm (22.29sqft) for every 1% consumed For those with large homes, I think the resume cleaning function will be your best friend. I’d definitely run this way before any guests are coming over so it has more than enough time to charge (it charges pretty fast too). In comparison to my old one which was much more battery efficient with more than 50% after doing a vacuuming first then mopping task, it’s much quieter, picks up much more fur (the most important aspect for me), the base station keeps itself cleaner and the mop washboard is easier to clean, no more dust mites that spawned from the dust bag (I like the dustbin and dustbag drying on here especially since it’s 86% humidity most of the time like Florida or Texas), lifts much more grease from my kitchen floors with the hot water mop washing working to remove grease (so much oil on top of the dirty water in the dirty water tank after I set it to CleanGenius deep clean which shows the hot water was responsible for being able to bring the grease from the mop into the dirty water tank since it wasn’t emulsified), and I don’t have to save the robot anymore. I think that’s a fine tradeoff for me to make. Just like every robot vacuum (other than MO from wall-e), there’s a tradeoff.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->1. It really depends on your purchasing region. Costco is a popular choice given its generous return policy but choices are rather limited compared to buying from Amazon which has an easy return policy within 30 days. For other purchasing regions, buying from a reputable retailer with a good return policy and an optional protection plan would be good. In Australia, I heard Harvey Norman is nicer with returns compared to JB HIFI. 2. The robots with the best self cleaning will be Dreame’s L/X50 Ultra/L40S Ultra/Pro Ultra and MOVA’s V50 Ultra P50S Ultra > MOVA’s P50 Ultra/ Pro Ultra > Roborock’s models that have spinning mops with the Multifunctional Dock 3.0 (roborock models with a vibrating mop have a washboard that is more difficult to clean as you can’t remove it) ≈ Narwal Freo models (completely detachable base) > Dreame’s models with the mop-driven wiper mop washboard (cleaning the wiper washboard is rather difficult since there’s too many nooks and crannies and you’d still have to get down to clean the areas the wipers can’t reach) > other combo robots with an all in one base station As for combo robots with roller mops and have an all in one base station, the washboard is generally flat with a few grooves so it’s pretty easy to clean. I believe most of their washboards are removable. However, it’ll require more cleaning in the mop compartment and dirty water tank. Most roller mop models have an annoying cylindrical component which drives the roller mop like an upright wet dry vacuum but you can’t remove or move it to give it a deeper clean even if gunk is stuck on it. The only combos that are close to the level of self cleaning for spinning mop models are Dreame’s Aqua 10 Pro track, the MOVA Z50 Ultra, and the Narwal Flow since both have self-cleaning mechanisms that are made to also clean the dirty water tank and the mop compartment while also having a very easy to clean mop compartment since the thing that moves the mops is also completely removable. If you want to support a US startup, you could look at the Matic since it’s a vacuum and mop robot but taking care of it looks rather easy since it lacks a base station. The maintenance involved is replacing the bag, refilling the water with a cleaning solution of choice, occasionally cleaning the roller mop, the roller mop filter, cleaning the brush roller and de clogging the mop tubes if needed.
r/RobotVacuums • What generally goes wrong in a vacuum+mop+cleaning robot? What to watch out for? ->The real downside of the v50 in my use was the battery life and glossy finish.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 or Mova P10 Pro Ultra or other... ->In terms of? To me I think the short battery life is something I’m fine with since it’s actually cleaning. I haven’t seen another model with much better battery life that has the fur compression feature which is something I really like about this model. If you want to learn more about the battery life, I measured battery consumption, you can refer to my semi-review of the V50. MOVA sent me the v50 in exchange for making content on Reddit which I’ve done way before they contacted me. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 or Mova P10 Pro Ultra or other... ->The L40S Ultra only has structured light for obstacle avoidance which won’t avoid cords. For those wanting a combo robot that does well with heavily shedding pets, I generally recommend the Dreame/MOVA models for their fur compression feature. I have a long haired corgi and it works as advertised. I swear the MOVA V50 ultra was at 949 on Amazon once but I’d wait for a sale. MOVA sent me their V50 Ultra to review. Do also check out the L50 Pro ultra and the X50 Ultra.
r/RobotVacuums • Another recommendation ask ->I’d consider the v50 to be better suited for homes that have pets, especially ones that shed a lot, because of the dustbin/dustbag drying and the duosolution tank surprisingly helped with my stinky dog’s stinky smell on the floors at least.
r/RobotVacuums • Why is mova cheaper than dreame? ->I’d consider the v50 to be better suited for homes that have pets, especially ones that shed a lot, because of the dustbin/dustbag drying and the duosolution tank surprisingly helped with my stinky dog’s stinky smell on the floors at least. MOVA sent me their MOVA v50 ultra in exchange for making content on Reddit. I’ve written an honest semi review on it (only a few aspects are missing which is the only thing stopping me from calling it a review) https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/
r/RobotVacuums • Why is mova cheaper than dreame? ->If you’ve got a fluffy friend, you know the unspoken Faustian bargain: unconditional love in exchange for a home permanently blanketed in fur—and a daily lake of drool waiting in the places where you least expect, just for you to step in. Most robot vacuums promise barefoot-friendly floors, but I’ve been burned before. My old budget bot had to run twice a day just to keep up with my long-haired corgi, or its dustbin would clog with fur. So when MOVA sent me their new V50 Ultra as part of their Reddit collaboration program, I wasn’t expecting it to be much better. I did not receive any money from this collaboration. # Receiving the MOVA V50 Ultra: I received the V50 Ultra in a fairly nondescript cardboard box, sealed with MOVA-branded tape. Inside was the main retail box, also covered in MOVA logos. It’s on the heavier side, so handle with care—I found it a bit awkward to lift, even with the cut-out handles, as the box is quite wide. Sliding the main box out of the outer protective box took a bit of effort. [A photo of the MOVA V50 Ultra's main box](https://preview.redd.it/suyrslcv85if1.png?width=4284&format=png&auto=webp&s=038586383a6a0eec69f580eafb48d119b0f70ede) On the box, MOVA proudly lists all the bells and whistles: * **DuoSolution tank**: You can add a pet odor-neutralizing solution to tackle that dreaded pet funk, along with a general floor detergent in a separate, larger tank. The detergent mixes with water as it fills the robot’s internal tank for regular mopping, while the deodorizing solution is used specifically to clean the mops. * **StepMaster climbing**: can clear small steps up to 6cm total—specifically, 4.2cm followed by 1.8cm. * **24,000Pa suction**: a wildly high number that beats the Dreame X50 on paper, putting it on par with even some cordless vacuum cleaners. * **JetSpray DryBoard**: uses 20 high-pressure jets to clean the mops and washboard. * **Edge cleaning**: side brush and mop can extend to reach corners and along walls. * **FlexiPress mop**: tilts up to 5° for more even pressure on uneven floors, spins at up to 260 RPM with 8N of pressure. * **80°C (176°F) mop washing**: hot water mop rinse to lift grease from the mops. * **OmniDry system**: dries the mops in as little as an hour, .and fully dries the dustbin and dustbag in about three But as you might already know, **I don’t care much for spec sheets alone**. I care about what actually adds value to autonomy or cleaning performance in the real world. So here are my surface-level first impressions—and a closer look at whether these features actually live up to the claims. **Unpacking it:** The packaging was solid and well-protected. Aside from some minor dents and cosmetic scuffs on the plain outer box (doing its job, really), everything inside arrived intact. The double-boxed design used thick, durable cardboard throughout. No complaints there—though I do wish the unboxing experience felt a bit more premium or luxurious for a flagship device. [The accessory kit is packed inside the main box and is the first thing you see when opening the box](https://preview.redd.it/9gnpp29795if1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bab79a92551eb02606185ce5961203f94a1b0cbc) Right at the top of the main box is the oversized accessory kit—and it’s *stacked*. You get: * **Twelve extra mops** (enough for six replacements) * **1L of MOVA floor detergent** (the detergent tank holds up to 400mL, so this covers over two full refills) * **200mL pet odor-neutralizing solution** (exactly one full fill of the B tank) * **Three spare dust bags** * **Three extra filters** (rated for 450 vacuuming hours total) * **Two side brush replacements** (designed for easy swapping every 200 hours with a screwdriver) * **A spare pair of double anti-tangle main brushes** (rated for 300 vacuuming hours; note: replacing them takes a surprising amount of force to pull out and snap back in, with careful alignment of the hexagonal rods and brush holes) [Look at all the accessories!](https://preview.redd.it/infdrbys95if1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=21979f38d4d280cae296152779eae2d0be2264e0) Frankly, this is one of the most generous accessory kits I’ve seen bundled with any robot vacuum—especially in this price range. Most brands don’t even include a single bottle of detergent, even after charging this much. [From top to bottom, the base station's power cable bundled up, the two FlexiPress mop pad holders with mop pads attached, and the base station's removable ramp](https://preview.redd.it/321r2cr7k5if1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02533e82cfbcb377e96123e98af3a32f15afa973) Beneath the accessory kit is a smaller side box on the left, containing the dock’s detachable ramp (handy for cleaning), the power cable, and the robot’s mop pads pre-attached to the magnetic FlexiPress holders. Once that’s out of the way, you’ll see the main robot box with a sturdy built-in plastic handle for easy lifting. Under that, the dock itself is neatly packed inside a protective plastic. **Build quality:** [The MOVA V50 Ultra is in its base station on the left of my old robot vacuum in its dock. The MOVA's base station is noticeably shorter.](https://preview.redd.it/f88vnh2gk5if1.jpg?width=5160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a16bdebf3c7157998f1eb5c81c3432b375e21a0a) The MOVA V50 Ultra Complete and its base station feel impressively well-built. While mostly plastic, the construction is sturdy and durable. The magnetic top cover snaps on securely—no issues with weak magnets or misalignment. The brushes also feel solid and well-made. I’m not a fan of the glossy plastic finish, though; it’s a magnet for fingerprints and, unsurprisingly, fur. The dustbin is made from hard plastic and took a hit when I accidentally dropped it, leaving a scuffed white mark. So yes, it’s tough, but not invincible. **Setting up the robot:** To test ease of use, I handed the setup over to the most technologically challenged family member—and they had no trouble. Pairing the robot was simple, and mapping was surprisingly quick. Impressively, the robot managed to escape my shower’s 3cm threshold using its secondary wheels, part of MOVA’s so-called StepMaster system. Older robots would have gotten stuck in there during mapping. I actually expected to configure this manually in the app, but the robot automatically recognized the threshold as passable and added it to the map. Nice. It also recognized that my kitchen cabinets had just enough clearance for it to duck under by retracting its LIDAR, and marked the area as low-clearance. That said, it struggled with the diagonal section of my kitchen counter, which I had to manually fix. It also mislabeled my bedroom as a kitchen and didn’t quite get the orientation of the wooden floorboards right—but otherwise, room partitioning and labeling were fairly accurate. My family member noted a bit of a learning curve when customizing room partitions, but once they figured it out, setup was smooth. I do wish there were an option to label a space as an “entryway” in the rooms you can choose from, but fortunately, you can rename any room however you like. As for ultrasonic carpet detection, it correctly identified the office rug and most of the carpet under the coffee table, though the detection was patchy and required me to manually define that area. If you have fully carpeted rooms, you can mark them as such—but it takes a bit of digging through the settings. [The DuoSolution Tank and the pet odor solution is pictured together with the B tank made to be filled with the pet odor solution](https://preview.redd.it/qkxsswe8c5if1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2f2ecfb097b13b8eb83ec26e376f05ce03e408bc) After filling the DuoSolution tank with both the general detergent and the pet odor-neutralizing solution, and topping up the clean water tank, it was time to let the robot earn its keep. I didn’t actually have high hopes—so I ran my old robot a day prior to vacuum and mop first, just in case. I then ran the V50 Ultra in CleanGenius vacuum mode, followed by deep cleaning mop mode. I wanted to see if it was a CleanGenius… or a CleanDummy. To my surprise, the kitchen—normally coated in a fine layer of grease that required two passes from my old robot—was squeaky clean in just one. The wooden floors were also noticeably softer and smoother to walk on after just a single pass. When I pulled out the dirty water tank, the results were obvious: not only was the water noticeably darker than what my old robot usually picked up, but there was a visible layer of grease floating on top. The tank was greasy enough that I had to wash it with a sponge and dish soap—suggesting the hot water mop washing was *actually doing its job* and lifting grease off the mops effectively. I attribute this improved mopping performance to a few things. * **More pressure for a deeper scrub**: the V50 Ultra mops with 8N of downward pressure, which really helps on hard floors. * **The mops hug the floor better**: The FlexiPress system also keeps mop pressure more evenly applied across uneven surfaces, thanks to its ability to tilt up to 5 degrees and adjust vertically by a few millimeters—something my old robot always struggled with. * **Automatic detergent mixing**: The robot also automatically mixes detergent with water before mopping, so it’s not just wiping with plain water. * **Faster mop spinning**: the mops can spin up to 260rpm, and when I ran it in CleanGenius deep clean mode, the mopping was noticeably louder, suggesting it was spinning faster than the regular 180rpm. * **Better synergy**: I suspect the improved vacuuming internals are helping remove more invisible dust, which gives the mops a clearer path to scrub deeper grime. I do wish the CleanGenius icon gave more insight into what it’s doing, other than just vaguely telling me “CleanGenius is cleaning.” [The MOVA V50 Ultra cleaning under my kitchen cabinets with its LIDAR tower retracted](https://preview.redd.it/znnvsg1ub5if1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df3c3f14b148da5f08a461d166e293501f982cb8) For under-the-counter cleaning in the kitchen, the robot lowered its lidar and hugged the edges appropriately. Good bot. I’ve heard some other V50 Ultras get less efficient when their lidar retracts, but I haven’t seen that myself. I’d need a giant balsa wood obstacle course to test that properly. [The fur in the dustbin is compressed to one end of the dustbin so it can collect as much fur as possible](https://preview.redd.it/c0w6kulpi5if1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=657daaaef5dd697f09cec71ce2e289fc5668ad75) The dustbin tells the whole story. Compared to my old robot, fur was visibly compressed, making far better use of the bin space—credit to MOVA’s hair compression feature. The base station even blows air through the filter during the auto-empty cycle, clearing out the clingy dust bunnies that used to get stuck in the pleats. The result? I went from smacking the filter against the trash can every night to cleaning it maybe once every two weeks. [No hair or fur was stuck around the axles of the omnidirectional wheel.](https://preview.redd.it/31v3fwa7j5if1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=641f69fc47f4683c7d66dfd1424a6147e43be86b) [No fur was tangled on the dual TroboWave brushes, with fur clinging to the bristles](https://preview.redd.it/qummmixdj5if1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df60ac2e947908e254cd0f0f4a3bb63f55fc8da7) [Upon closer insepction, the only the brush with bristles has some fur with it but it is not tangled.](https://preview.redd.it/bejzg32jj5if1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50b9eb4a5b5c899908b35b1f56cde99b3b658311) [Only a few strands of fur remain in the brush compartment after the brushes are removed. ](https://preview.redd.it/1oi3zr7nj5if1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e733e4557c82eac1b15497ee6bc0bf942052a482) And the anti-tangle claims? Not just marketing. Even waist-length hair—longer than the advertised 11.8” (30 cm) limit—didn’t tangle in the TroboWave™ dual brushes, the side brush, or the omnidirectional wheel. It was also brilliant on carpets, where the dual-brush system agitated and lifted my dog’s fur far more effectively than my old single-brush bot ever managed. My family, who all work from home, immediately noticed how quiet it was. While mopping at 180 rpm, it was nearly silent. During a vacuum run, I measured it at a conversation-friendly 55–60 dB—noticeable, but never disruptive. # The Coffee Granule Test To push beyond marketing specs, I simulated a tough mess using freeze-dried coffee—a mix of large granules and fine powder. I set the robot to CleanGenius mode with “large particle boost” enabled. [The original spill of instant coffee powder](https://preview.redd.it/i7hc699xf5if1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb983bb958dea075e6373402e69c53295a80d3fe) [After the second pass, no instant coffee was left behind](https://preview.redd.it/2ngzj89xf5if1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b11d3febede717b8b481c271148829ddb1cde60) What followed was a masterclass in intelligent cleaning. The robot: * Correctly identified the spill and its size, marked it on the app, and slowed its approach. * Increased suction while reducing the side brush speed to gently sweep granules inward. * Lifted the side brush entirely when crossing the main spill to prevent scattering. * Made two slow, methodical passes in perpendicular directions, creating a grid-like pattern. After the first pass, every large granule was gone. After the second, so was the fine coffee dust. A perfect pickup. MOVA claims its pet odor neutralizing solution really works, so I put it to the test. I turned on high-frequency mode, which uses the solution every time it washes the mops, to tackle that classic “wet dog” smell after my pup’s adventures in the grass. After just one vacuum first and then mop cycle, the only place I could smell the dog was… well, on the dog himself. Floors? Fresh and odor-free. **AI Obstacle Avoidance** I tested the robot in a chaotic environment littered with obstacles: charging cables on the floor, a camera tripod with legs low enough to ride up, chairs with just enough clearance to be a trap, and dog toys everywhere. My old robot would have been instantly stuck thanks to my dog, who loves to sploot right in the middle of the hallway. But the MOVA navigated everything without getting stuck once. What impressed me most was watching its adaptive AI learn in real time. On day one, it clumsily tried to climb the tripod legs. By day two, it was more cautious, riding up on them only about half the time. On day three, it had figured it out completely and cleaned neatly along the legs without mounting them at all. **OmniDry: Mop and Dustbin Drying** MOVA also touts its OmniDry system, which uses warm air to dry the mops, the internal washboard, and even the dustbin and dustbag to prevent mildew and odors. MOVA doesn’t list an official drying temperature, but a similar feature on another premium robot by its parent Dreame uses 122°F (50°C) air. Even at 86% humidity, the system dried the mops and washboard in just one hour on “Quick Dry.” To test the dustbin drying, I dampened some dog fur, put it in the dustbag, and ran a three-hour drying cycle — after which the fur felt completely dry. Theoretically, this thorough drying should help stop mold and odor growth. It’s only been about 1,000 m² (\~10,000 ft²) of cleaning so far, so it’s too early to confirm long-term benefits, but the initial signs look very promising **Self-Cleaning & Maintenance** The base station does a solid job cutting down on daily chores, though it’s not completely hands-off. The auto-empty cycle is strong enough to clear fine dust from the filter’s pleats, but I did notice a few strands of my dog’s fur stubbornly clinging to the filter’s rubber seal. [The JetSpray Dryboard, as pictured, was able to keep itself rather clean with oly a few stray strands of fur remaining on the mop washboard and no visible grime stuck to any nooks and crannies. ](https://preview.redd.it/ylldb4lhe5if1.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=58a820016e8e1e640db55f04426f3fbb79d6867a) The mop washing system is a huge step up from my old robot, whose washboard was always a magnet for fur and grime. After about 1,000 m² of cleaning, the MOVA’s washboard stayed impressively clean, with all the debris collected neatly in a removable, palm-sized drainage filter that’s easy to rinse under the tap. [Despite keeping the mop washboard relatively clean, fine dust and dirt builds up under the drainage filter over time as shown here.](https://preview.redd.it/e3sabf7yc5if1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af7e4220d12f800e7fb91d0069acf2ca2b61e347) That said, a fine layer of sludge does build up over time in the tray beneath the filter. Since the washboard assembly itself isn’t removable, you have to get down on your hands and knees to clean that part manually. I wish the robot either cleaned this area automatically or had a removable tray for easier maintenance. All up, this makes a night-and-day difference in my daily routine. With my old robot, my daily maintenance checklist looked like this: * Tapping dust out of the filter * Picking trapped fur off the washboard * Rescuing it from cables that it tried to chew or the tripod it kept trying to climb Now, with the MOVA, my main tasks are simply refilling the clean water tank and emptying the dirty one. The robot and base station stay so much cleaner that a proper hands-on clean is only needed every few weeks—definitely not every single day. **Battery Life & Charging** To gauge real-world battery efficiency, I ran the robot on customized cleaning cycles with consistent settings. The results weren’t quite as impressive as I’d hoped they'd be, as it has a battery capacity of 6400mAh. On a standard vacuuming run, it cleaned just under 1 m² (\~10.5 ft²) per 1% of battery used. When mopping, efficiency more than doubled, covering over 2 m² (\~22.3 ft²) per percentage point consumed. In practice, after a full CleanGenius vacuum cycle followed by a mop run over my entire home, the robot typically consumes about 60% of its battery per cleaning session. In contrast, my old robot, with a smaller 5200 mAh battery, used around 40% for the same vacuum-then-mop routine. For larger homes of around 100 m² (\~1,075 ft²) or more, the “resume cleaning” feature is necessary, letting the robot return to its base to recharge before it resumes cleaning. Charging speeds are solid as well: it charges rapidly at roughly 1% per minute until hitting 20%, then slows to about 0.5% per minute to preserve battery health over time. You can also protect the battery's long-term health by setting a charge limit in the app, with options for 80%, 90%, or a full 100%. # Pros & Cons **Pros:** Very quiet, great with handling a lot of fur and hair, mops quite well and quietly, hot mop washing effectively lifts grease from the mops, pretty hands off, a smaller and more squat base station compared to some others, the customization for your robot is plentiful, the charging limit is a step forward in ensuring the longetivity of your robot’s battery, charges pretty quick **Cons:** not a fan of the glossy white plastic used as it’s a fingerprint magnet, you’d still need to manually clean the dirt and dust that builds up at the mop washboard’s drainage area, there is no way to manually customize how fast the mop spins as the mops only speed up on CleanGenius deep cleaning mode or when stain detection is turned on, slightly smaller water tanks of a 1 gallon clean water tank and a 0.9 dirty water tank compared to similarly priced options on the market (this is a tradeoff if you prefer a smaller base station) do mean more frequently refilling, the app’s near unlimited customization makes the UI a bit cluttered and requires a learning curve for those not as tech snazzy, the battery life is actually strangely short. # TLDR: **Get it if:** * You want a robot that’ll reliably dodge cables and other things that could trip up dumb bots, so you won’t need to rescue it all the time. * You have a pet that sheds a lot and/or stinks a lot, making the floors stinky despite your best attempts to coax it into having a bath. * Your home has long hair that you and other family members are shedding. * You want a quiet robot that happily zips around * Your home has more hard floors than carpet. * You have thresholds in your home, like sliding door frames, and thresholds in different rooms, like the bathroom or the kitchen. **Don’t get it if:** * Your home is mostly carpet (vacuuming only robots are better suited) * You want a robot that can be later plumbed into your laundry water lines. * You want it to clean under places with a clearance of 8.9cm or lower. * You want MO from Wall-E to say foreign contaminant every time it starts cleaning. * A totally hands-free robot vacuum that requires absolutely no maintenance (unless you were smart enough to tell your future self that to deliver one to you with a Time Machine) I'm happy to answer any questions you have about this robot or my experience in the comments below! Stay tuned for my in-depth review in a few weeks, where I'll test its long-term autonomy to see how it truly holds up with minimal maintenance—just refilling and emptying the tanks! Generative AI statement: No generative AI has been used in this post. Only the spot removal tool in Adobe Lightroom was used to hide the robot's SN with generative AI *turned off*.
r/RobotVacuums • Still Not Perfect, but My Dog and I Think the MOVA V50 Is Close: My Thoughts After 10,000 ft² (~1,000 m²) Cleaned ->MOVA sent me their MOVA V50 in exchange for making content on Reddit about it. I can verify that the pet odor neutralization solution works. Here’s a mini review of it. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/ Compared to the flow I like how it can automatically dispense detergent and dry the dustbin and dustbag (something that was in other autoemptying Narwal models but not the Flow). The Dreame Aqua track and the Narwal flow look like the lowest maintenance roller mop robots right now.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for robot vacuum + mop recommendations (pet hair, hardwood only, $1500 budget) ->I'd mainly look at the MOVA V50 Ultra for the dustbin/dustbag drying function to prevent odor and mildew. MOVA sent me their MOVA V50 Ultra in exchange for a [review](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/) and creating content on Reddit. I do have a heavily shedding long-haired corgi, and it helps a lot. Turning on hair compression and setting it to autoempty at high frequency (about once every 12sqm/130sqft) will help you a lot. I do find autoemptying loud enough to make my corgi perk his ears up, but it autoempties well. However, I'd also consider the MOVA Z60 Ultra, coming to the US and currently for sale in Western Europe, mainly because its roller mop's self cleaning and much higher mopping downward force at 17N (the V50 is at 8N) is going to make it best suited for muddy paw prints. However, the dustbin is 210mL, much smaller than the V50's so I expect it to heavily rely on autoemptying on the high frequency setting. Once I receive my Z60 Ultra, I'll put it through its paces and post a review :) > You must vacuum the whole house before mopping. Otherwise it'll just glue wet pet hair to the floor as it mops It's best to run a combo robot vacuum and mop, vacuuming first, then mopping, to avoid this issue. Trust me, I've experimented with so many settings, and vacuuming first before mopping greatly helps. The amount of glued on fur and hair I found when my old robot vacuumed and mopped at the same time turned my hardfloor home into a carpeted home...
r/RobotVacuums • Best for TONS of pet hair & hard tiles? Mova V50, Dreame X50, other? ->Vacuum only: roborock q5 or q8 max+ or the switchbot k10+ with a tangle resistant all rubber brush. Vacuum and mop combo: MOVA P10 Pro ultra at 399 (I think on Amazon US). This is a de facto last gen flagship and the antitangle TriCut brush (may ship in a bundle or needs to be bought separately from MOVA/dreame but AliExpress resellers can be cheaper) worked great with my long fur corgi’s fur and tumbleweeds. This one is least likely to get stuck compared to the previous options. Compared to other vacuum and mop combos under 400 which are solid budget robots, the p10 pro ultra blows them out of the water. As for the curved legs, I think the MOVA may at first try to ride up them then eventually learn how to properly avoid them. I have the MOVA V50 ultra and after it humped tripod legs on the first day, it was able to “learn” how to smoothly follow the tripod legs and avoid riding up on them on the third day (second day produced mixed results).
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum for german shepherds ->You can move the base station around but it can be rather heavy with my current MOVA V50 ultra at 14kg (30kg). For this reason, MOVA allows you to bring the robot down to autoempty or to wash the mops and bring it back up so it can continue. The MOVA did pick up much more fur than my old robot just a day apart (featuring a long haired corgi who just loves to shed and drool) https://preview.redd.it/9eyxrwwtpsef1.png?width=2830&format=png&auto=webp&s=d0fb87873b755e1873d856d11822c6ef804a1d16 I did receive this MOVA v50 from MOVA in exchange for creating content but I didn’t groom my dog’s fur in between cleanings (mostly because I didn’t think it could pick up that much fur at first).
r/Roborock • Robo vacuum worth it? ->I noticed something similar with a tripod stand at home and my MOVA V50 Ultra (a souped-up Dreame X50)! It would hump the stands on day one, either hump or correctly avoid the stands (50/50 chance) on day two, and it perfectly navigated around the legs and followed the edges well on day three. This tripod stand is often moved around so I was pleasantly surprised when it was still able to recognize it was the tripod stand and deal with it appropriately (yet it still doesn't register as an obstacle as a base in the app).
r/RobotVacuums • Vacuum wars recs good? Looking for best low maintenance combo bot I can get ->I’d recommend the MOVA v50 mainly because it has the fur compression feature unlike the p50 pro ultra. MOVA sent me the MOVA v50 in return for making a review of it. I tested it in real life with a heavily shedding corgi that drools everywhere. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/
r/RobotVacuums • Overwhelmed by research: Need help choosing model $1000 or less ->Ordering from Amazon means hassle free 30 day returns but ordering from website can give you the points to spend on consumables later. MOVA and I collaborated where I received the V50 in return for posting on Reddit and I posted my honest thoughts after using the V50 ultra complete. Perhaps this could help? https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/
r/RobotVacuums • Can't decide on Mova or Dreame! ->I recommend the V50 ultra over the x50 ultra since it’s generally more of an upgrade and honestly what I expected the x50 to be with . The x50 just has a 95mL larger dustbin but setting the v50 to autoempty frequently worked pretty well in my experience (once every 12-15sqm in my use). For obstacle avoidance it’s really to do with their firmware issue. I never had issues with it working in my home with cables even when I ran it in the dark. I’m not so sure which purchase channel gives you the three year warranty. My understanding is that it will be 3 years as long as it is an authorized retailer (MOVA’s official Amazon storefront, MOVA’s website and other big box retailers).
r/RobotVacuums • Can't decide on Mova or Dreame! ->I prefer the shorter dock at the cost of 500mL less capacity for the clean and dirty water tanks and the dustbin and dustbag drying feature over the X50 ultra. I prefer longer warranty
r/RobotVacuums • Can't decide on Mova or Dreame! ->Yes the MOVA v50 has the upgraded structured light sensor on the side. The x50 has the older design. The dock of the v50 has been improved with DuoSolution and dustbin drying. Just not a fan of the glossy finish on the MOVA.
r/RobotVacuums • Can't decide on Mova or Dreame! ->Yes! MOVA let me keep it and it still cleans well so I’m happy with it~~~
r/RobotVacuums • Can't decide on Mova or Dreame! ->https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/ Although MOVA sent me this in order to make content on Reddit about the v50 ultra, I put it through the paces to make a semi-review of how it works in real life. It ran in straight lines when it cleaned in my use.
r/RobotVacuums • Can't decide on Mova or Dreame! ->For pets that shed a lot, I prefer the dreame and MOVA robots with the fur compression feature. This means the robot can make the most use of its dustbin volume instead of clogging in the middle with empty spaces on the side (a common issue with the older dreame/mova model’s dustbin and roborock models with spinning mops so not all of the advertised dustbin volume is used) MOVA sent me their v50 in exchange for creating content on Reddit. I was able to verify that the fur compression feature works with a heavily shedding long haired corgi. I’m not so much a fan of the not very long battery life but the fact it could cope with so much dog fur in one much quieter go that would have needed my old robot to clean twice a day makes up for it. https://preview.redd.it/73eiwe0w31gf1.png?width=2882&format=png&auto=webp&s=6c6145385dbcc363162680eb93cc7a67a12d9b77
r/RobotVacuums • Need Real Feedback Before I Drop $$$ – Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Eufy… (or Others) - Help Me Decide ->If you live in a humid area like Texas or Florida, the dustbin and dustbag drying which prevents little creepy crawlies (which I thought were dust mites), gross microorganisms, and mold from growing is especially helpful! The only other robots with this feature are Narwal robots but they don’t do as well as MOVA when it comes to vacuuming. My old one would have dust mites spawning around the base station within a day simply because of how humid it is here at 86% if I don’t use chlorine dioxide sticks but it’s been a week with the MOVA V50 ultra and no dust mites. I was able to measure that the dustbag drying reaches 140°F/60°C and the dustbin was able to reach 122°F/50°C. 140°F/60°C is more than enough to kill dust mites and most microorganisms, especially since it’ll stay like that for 3 hours. This and the duosolution tank for stinky pets is the main reason I’d recommend the MOVA V50 over the dreame l50 and x50 ultra
r/RobotVacuums • Need Real Feedback Before I Drop $$$ – Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Eufy… (or Others) - Help Me Decide ->From what I’ve seen, no dust mites in or around my base station. The dustbin and dustbag drying stays at this temp for 3 hours! I’ve seen people post about creepy crawlies growing in their dust bags (eek!) so this is rather helpful.
r/RobotVacuums • Need Real Feedback Before I Drop $$$ – Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Eufy… (or Others) - Help Me Decide ->I think the dustbin and dustbag drying should help with this. I measured the dustbag drying in a 2/3rds full dustbag full of fur (which I took from my old one) and the new one. Dreame officially claims 50°C which is a claim I found to net in both the dustbin and the dustbag (stuffed a probe into the fur in the dustbag, put it back in and connected it to my thermometer).
r/RobotVacuums • Need Real Feedback Before I Drop $$$ – Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Eufy… (or Others) - Help Me Decide ->Thanks for letting me know! I really didn’t know about this so I’ll test the dustbin and dustbag drying again at least 3 weeks after I post my first impressions of the MOVA v50.
r/RobotVacuums • Need Real Feedback Before I Drop $$$ – Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Eufy… (or Others) - Help Me Decide ->I’d look at robots that can stop vacuuming, lift the main and side brush and just mop when they detect a liquid spill. The Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track and the MOVA Z50 Ultra will be the closest robot to a steam mop as they use roller mops. There’s also the Narwal flow but no word on its release yet. Alternatively, there are robots with spinning mops that can do this after recognizing a liquid mess like Dreame’s L/X40 ultra and newer; roborock Saros models and the Curv X; the MOVA P10 Ultra/Pro Ultra, the P50 Ultra/Pro Ultra, and the V50 Ultra; and Narwal’s freo Z Ultra. Out of all of them, I’d recommend the MOVA V50 Ultra as it can mop with detergent and choose if it uses a pet odor neutralizing detergent when cleaning up after your dog or a regular one for general maintenance. Other roller mop models like the eufy S1 Pro, the eufy E25/E28, and the ecovacs X8 and X9 cannot mop up liquid spills without the vacuuming brushes smearing it.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Vacuum/Mop robot vacuum? ->I also think the MOVA V50 is a good choice that is better than the X50, especially for those with pets. MOVA sent me the MOVA V50 ultra in exchange review and post about but these views are my own. I wrote a pretty honest review about how it framed with my long haired corgi that we think is secretly part alien since he’s much bigger than a standard corgi. Will update the review after 3 months to see how self cleaning does. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/ Labor Day sales should net you the best prices~~~
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame vs Narwal? ->Obstacle avoidance and toy detection: MOVA Z50 Ultra and V50 ultra For hard floors, the mop will help remove any embedded dust so vacuuming performance is equal on hard floors unless you want to look with a microscope. For carpets: i think ecovacs X9 is better at vacuuming fine dust > MOVA v50 > MOVA z50. For hair, they’ll all do well. Mopping performance: MOVA Z50 ultra > ecovacs x9 pro omni > MOVA v50 ultra Maintenance and self cleaning from easiest to hardest: MOVA v50 ultra > MOVA z50 ultra > ecovacs x9 pro omni. Even though both MOVA z50 and ecovacs X9 have roller mops, the MOVA z50 ultra mop compartment is much easier to clean as the part that rotates the mop is completely removable allowing for better access to clean whereas the ecovacs x9 has a cylinder that rotates the mop and cannot be in contact with water and also cannot be removed. Only the MOVA z50 will make some attempt to clean the onboard dirty water tank which generally works better at keeping itself clean than the ecovacs. MOVA v50 uses spinning mops so an onboard water tank is not needed.
r/RobotVacuums • Title: Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni vs Mova V50 Ultra – Which is better for vacuuming, mopping, toy detection, and maintenance in a 125 sqm home? ->Overall convenience: both MOVA v50 and z50 have much better navigation because it has a lidar tower to see 360° whereas the ecovacs x9 only has an embedded lidar to see about 110-120°. The ecovacs app still hasn’t fixed its room boundary issue. Other robot vacuum apps don’t have this issue. For some strange reason, the x9 doesn’t allow you make it mop only. It only lets you vacuum first then mop. Other robot vacuum combo brands allow for this with their newer models.
r/RobotVacuums • Title: Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni vs Mova V50 Ultra – Which is better for vacuuming, mopping, toy detection, and maintenance in a 125 sqm home? ->I think your wife will appreciate the more curved design of the MOVA V50’s base station. https://preview.redd.it/u17nt8fy8gaf1.jpeg?width=650&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9961fd7389de4c8e9233e57ce014fdf812de891d
r/RobotVacuums • Title: Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni vs Mova V50 Ultra – Which is better for vacuuming, mopping, toy detection, and maintenance in a 125 sqm home? ->Also, I haven’t found the ecovacs x9 pro omni in white :( https://www.ecovacs.com/us/deebot-robotic-vacuum-cleaner/deebot-x9-pro-omni
r/RobotVacuums • Title: Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni vs Mova V50 Ultra – Which is better for vacuuming, mopping, toy detection, and maintenance in a 125 sqm home? ->MOVA reached out to me on Reddit about a Reddit collaboration project and I was honestly only expecting them to tell me more about their new robots but to my surprise they sent me a new robot to review and post on Reddit. I’ve made a review of the V50. Other than not as great battery life and the glossy finish on the robot being a fingerprint magnet, I do like it a lot despite having my reservations about it. They’ve just sent me their Z60 Ultra Roller Complete and will start my review on it.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum and mop without camera? ->The dreame X50 ultra, L50 Ultra (not the L50 Pro ultra), MOVA V50 ultra, and the MOVA P50S Ultra (not the P50 Pro ultra) should definitely cross this with no issues. Most dreame/MOVA robots, even without special threshold crossing abilities, have pretty good threshold crossing abilities. You could also look at the Dreame L40S Ultra/Pro Ultra or the L50 Pro Ultra with the EasyLeap additional pair of wheels that are made to climb thresholds like this (they’re shaped like a windmill or shuriken to better grip onto ledges). The roborock models with the Adaptlift feature should be able to cross this just fine. Other robots can cross a threshold of 2cm with no issues but that assumes the thresholds are smooth with no grooves. No clue about them crossing this kind of threshold though.
r/RobotVacuums • Most capable robot vacuum that can handle sliding door tracks thresholds? ->https://youtu.be/fXF0zRDCixw? I don’t think the MOVA v50 will vacuum fine dust from carpets as well as your roborock s8, but will partially vacuum better than the Saros 10R. For me the main concern is fur so I’m pretty happy with how it gets rid of the embedded fur in my carpet.
r/Roborock • To upgrade or not to upgrade ->I have received the V50 Ultra and the Z60 Ultra Roller from MOVA for testing as part of their Reddit collaboration program. However, I have no paid relationship with them or any other brand, including Dreame. My recommendations are always based on finding the best performance and value for a specific market. I recommended these models based on independent reviews (like those from Jamie Andrews) long before I had any contact with MOVA. That's why my advice changes depending on the region. For example, I'd recommend the Narwal Freo Z Ultra (€549) for hard floors in Western Europe, or the Roborock QRevo Master when it was on sale for $1699 AUD in Australia, as both were incredible bargains compared to other flagships.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum right now? ->As far as I know, only the Dreame Aqua 10 pro track, x50 ultra, l50 ultra (not the l50 pro ultra, confusing I know), the MOVA V50 Ultra and the P50S pro ultra can climb a single threshold up to 4.2cm unassisted with a second threshold up to 1.8cm.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot for thresholds ->Yep the narwal models are great for mopping, but are very water inefficient compared to other models with an onboard water tank. There's also the MOVA V50 Ultra with mop pads that can tilt which is good for uneven tile floors.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Mop for Large Area? ->Obstacle avoidance: DJI, dreame, eufy, MOVA, Narwal Unfortunately DJI seems to be just alright when it comes to mopping but its obstacle avoidance seems to be too notch Moppers: Dreame Aqua 10 ultra track/roller (I’d prioritize the , Eufy’s S1 pro, e25/28 and the upcoming S2 (looks very promising so I’ve tentatively put it here but I’d still wait for reviews but that’s quite some time off as it’s launching in 2026), MOVA Z50 Ultra (known docking issue at end of task), Z60 Ultra Roller (in my first use, it could avoid the low tripod legs during its first go that my MOVA v50 ultra had to learn to avoid), Narwal flow, and Narwal Freo Z/Z10 ultra MOVA sent me their Z60 Ultra Roller and the V50 Ultra to review on Reddit as part of their Reddit collaboration program. I only report how the robot did in my home, not their sales brief.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vac for mopping and obstacle avoidance ->I only have very initial impressions of it as it hasn’t run long enough for me to make a holistic judgement about it yet. Setup and mapping was just as easy as the V50 Ultra Mop is fluffy! Also comes with a rather sizable accessory kit like the V50 Vacuums and mops as quietly as the MOVA V50 Ultra Heavier than the V50 Ultra Smaller dustbin to accommodate the roller mop. Autoempty frequency when set to high frequency is once every 12-14sqm, like the V50 ultra. This robot also has fur compression which helps for homes with heavily shedding pets. Haven’t noticed any issues with it clogging with my long haired corgi’s fur when fur compression and autoempty frequency is set to high frequency. A smidge too tall to reach under my kitchen cabinets whereas my V50 Ultra could lower its lidar tower and clean under there. This is because the height of the Z60 Ultra Roller is taller at 9.6cm with the lidar retracted and my V50 is shorter at 8.9cm with the lidar retracted. I’m mourning the loss of the OmniDry system which was on the V50 ultra where it can dry the dustbin and dustbag to avoid odors Mop drying takes longer on the Z60 Ultra Roller with a minimum of 3 hours to 5 hours compared to the V50 Ultra that can take as little as 1-3 hours to finish drying the mop. I’ve chalked it up to the roller mop design inherently having less surface area exposed for the warm air to dry the mop. DuoSolution tank works as expected. No stinky dog smell on floors. Mopped my kitchen floor with dried on grease from the night before and was noticeably grease free afterwards. Haven’t tested: AutoShield roller mop cover for carpets. I like how it also covers the roller mop when just vacuuming to avoid the roller mop from catching any fur and dirt. Mop washing temperature (V50 ultra was tested and could well reach the claimed 80°C water claim for mop washing) How well the onboard dirty water tank holds up over time (it simply hasn’t cleaned enough yet) Coffee granule test Liquid stain mopping Battery life If the dustbag gets stinky over time (My V50’s dustbag got stuffed with fur after a month and a half and it was all dry and stink free because it can dry the dustbin and dustbag) StepMaster threshold climbing
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vac for mopping and obstacle avoidance ->I think a roller mop is more suitable for tile and ceramic floors. I’ve had both the MOVA V50 ultra and the Z60 Ultra Roller. MOVA sent me these models as part of their Reddit collaboration program. They don’t pay for my opinion to regurgitate a sales brief so my opinion on this is honest. The V50 ultra is more hands off but its battery is definitely not enough for your home without needing to recharge halfway. If that doesn’t matter, it’ll definitely do a good job of everyday cleaning but it uses more water than the Z60 ultra roller as it needs to wash its mops more often but it is easier to clean. The Z60 ultra roller has delivered better everyday mopping which I could feel with my feet. I never had a build quality issue with either. I’d also buy these robots from a reputable retailer so returns will be easy.
r/RobotVacuums • Need help choosing my first robot ->Yes I’d get the Z60 Ultra Roller. I’ve made it go through the wringer (3000sqm) and I haven’t noticed anything go awry unlike most “reviewers” who test it only up to at best 1000 minutes (which is about 500sqm so usually the size of half a home), no shade.
r/RobotVacuums • Need help choosing my first robot ->There’s definitely the self selecting bias when it comes to posting about someone’s experience with a product. However, unlike the Aqua 10 roller which has a known and widespread leaking base station due to a bad design (which is definitely their problem), I genuinely am not seeing a common thread tying together bugs with the MOVA Z60 Ultra roller and the issues aren’t frequently posted enough about not just on Reddit but on Chinese and Korean social media for me to say these are widespread nor due to a design flaw. The points about maintenance, corner and edge cleaning are also important which I’ve already noted in my article about different mop types on vacuum wars’ blog. However the increase in effort needed to clean the roller mop compartment and onboard dirty water tank compared to the V50 which was essentially hands off is still relatively low at being once every two-three weeks (when run daily in my experience), especially when compared to my first robot with spinning mops but a basic charging station. Can MOVA and other brands improve the self cleaning and the edge cleaning aspect of roller mop robots? Absolutely. As for corner cleaning, I’m afraid that aspect will have to be sacrificed for roller mop robots as they still need somewhere to put their dirty water tank which means the mop can’t be at the very end of the robot like spinning mops. The battery consumption on the Z60 Ultra Roller has been better than the V50 Ultra.
r/RobotVacuums • Need help choosing my first robot ->MOVA sent me their V50 ultra to review as part of their Reddit collaboration program. It dealt with fur much better and was able to clean up embedded fur on my carpets. The fur compression worked as advertised and this is how much it picked up a day after my old robot. You can read my review here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still\_not\_perfect\_but\_my\_dog\_and\_i\_think\_the\_mova/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/) https://preview.redd.it/kv9oslhhfnsf1.png?width=2942&format=png&auto=webp&s=b0b22f52281ab1fbe8d7d1a464f6caa53c733614
r/RobotVacuums • Help me choose a robot vacuum + mop combo (dog hair, rugs, and low-maintenance) ->Since you prioritize self cleaning and don’t have much dirt in the home I’d recommend the MOVA V50 ultra (basically a souped up dreame x50 ultra with more features but without the ability to connect it to your water line). I have both right now and I like how the self cleaning on the V50 is better when it came to the filter and the mop washboard.
r/RobotVacuums • Help me choose a robot vacuum + mop combo (dog hair, rugs, and low-maintenance) ->I have a heavily shedding corgi that drools a lot. MOVA sent me their V50 ultra to review as part of their Reddit collaboration program and it’s done wonderfully with its fur. You can read the review here. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a new robot vacuum, need some advice ->My corgi also leaves his dog toys everywhere, and any dog toy that has been ripped to shreds by him is easily avoided by my V50 Ultra! I'll see if the Z60 Ultra does as well.
r/RobotVacuums • If I review the new MOVA Z60 Ultra, what would you guys like to see? ->Will put hot water temperature in a separate nerdier deep dive post :) Dry stains are a given, as they'll clean up a greasy kitchen floor from the night before, and feet will feel used to tell if any grease is left. Any wet stain recommendations? How is soy sauce? I'm going to do the same with the V50 Ultra after like half a year or so with it. But I was nice and shared my measurements of the hot water mop washing ahead of time\~\~
r/RobotVacuums • If I review the new MOVA Z60 Ultra, what would you guys like to see? ->I'll look at how it removes embedded fine fur from carpets :) I'll test the battery the same way I tested it on the MOVA V50 Ultra. [https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still\_not\_perfect\_but\_my\_dog\_and\_i\_think\_the\_mova/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/)
r/RobotVacuums • If I review the new MOVA Z60 Ultra, what would you guys like to see? ->The V50 doesn’t need to chop hair to avoid it from tangling, it actually uses the archimedes screw principle like the roborock duodivide brush but with the narrower end being covered by the brush cover
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for an appropriate robot vacuum cleaner for my case ->MOVA’s front wheel issue is mainly limited to the P50 pro ultra and the P10 Pro ultra in the NA market. The flagship MOVA robots V50 and the Z60 Ultra Roller have much stronger front wheels as it needs to absorb more shock so it can climb higher thresholds. My MOVA V50 which MOVA sent to me as part of their Reddit collaboration program had solid build quality and I didn’t and still don’t notice anything wrong with it. Dreame is going to have the same obstacle avoidance capability as MOVA. It’s a shame Roborock’s computer vision isn’t as great as Dreame/mova. If you liked the JetSpray dryboard on the P50 Pro ultra which self cleans, the MOVA V50 ultra, dreame l50 ultra and the x50 ultra also have this self cleaning mop washboard.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova p50 ultra broke two times, Roborock qrevo curv navigation sucks. Any recommendations? ->I’m not a fan of how hungry it is but it does clean well and the build quality has been solid in my use.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova p50 ultra broke two times, Roborock qrevo curv navigation sucks. Any recommendations? ->My MOVA V50 Ultra says it’s tangle free with a claim up to 30cm but it held up fine with my family member’s hair being waist length :)
r/RobotVacuums • Does robot vacuum actually work for long hair? ->I own the MOVA Z60 ultra roller and the MOVA V50 ultra that MOVA sent me as part of their Reddit collaboration program. I have a long haired corgi that leaves sticky drool + sticky food messes like ice cream when I spoil him.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum + mop for sticky spills, cat hair, and toy obstacles? ->> I also remember seeing that some docks run hot air through the bag to stop odors, although I can't find anything about this. That’ll be the Freo Z ultra, Narwal flow, Aqua 10 ultra track, Aqua 10 roller/ultra roller (widespread leaking base issue due to a design flaw), and the MOVA V50 Ultra.
r/RobotVacuums • I'm new, which vacuum should I get? ->The Freo Z ultra is a great mopper as a spinning mop robot but it uses quite a bit of water so I’d connect it to my plumbing and it’s vacuuming isn’t as good. Its antitangle brush is pretty good.
r/RobotVacuums • I'm new, which vacuum should I get? ->I’d recommend the MOVA V50 mainly for its better mopping, duosolution tank, and the dustbin and dustbag drying feature.
r/Dreame_Tech • Hair compression function / pet care version ->MOVA’s P50s, V50, V60 Mobius, Z60 have fur compression
r/Dreame_Tech • Hair compression function / pet care version ->The V50 ultra has better pet features like the duosolution tank and dustbin and dustbag drying.
r/Dreame_Tech • Hair compression function / pet care version ->V50 only fills the water tank with warm water, the water cools down by the time it reaches the mops.
r/Dreame_Tech • Hair compression function / pet care version ->For heavily shedding dogs, I'd go for the MOVA V50 Ultra mainly for the fur compression (also on the X50), DuoSolution tank with a pet odor neutralizing solution (only on the V50), and dustbin and dustbag drying which I found to greatly reduce any odors in the dust bag. I have a heavily shedding long-haired corgi and I found this feature to be really helpful. MOVA sent me their V50 Ultra to review and I do like it a lot and it's holding up well. [https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still\_not\_perfect\_but\_my\_dog\_and\_i\_think\_the\_mova/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/)
r/RobotVacuums • Please help me decide... ->Never had any fur cigars with both robots. If your pet sheds a lot I’d lean more towards the v50 for the larger dustbin.
r/RobotVacuums • Please help me decide... ->I now have the MOVA v50 ultra. Dreame generally does better than roborock in obstacle avoidance. MOVA is a dreame fighter/flanker subbrand so the obstacle avoidance algorithm should be the same. Eufy and Narwal’s camera enabled models are pretty good too. My dog did vomit once but that was pretty rare and good thing the robot wasn’t running.
r/Roborock • Do you run your robot unattended? ->I’ve had solid navigation with my V50. YMMV. As for quality control issues, this mainly affects the P50 and the P10 for sale in NA. This does not affect the V50 as it uses a different front omnidirectional wheel which requires it to absorb more shock because of the threshold crossing capability as there is also spring suspension to help.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra Complete (White) Currently listed for $1099 USD vs Dreame L50 Ultra ->I’ll mainly choose the V50 over the L50 if you live in a humid environment like Texas or Florida because of the dustbin and dustbag drying function and the duosolution tank which I found to work as claimed in my review. MOVA sent me the MOVA v50 in return for a review. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/UH6MsMmEVq
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra Complete (White) Currently listed for $1099 USD vs Dreame L50 Ultra ->I definitely think the Mova. I have the pecan Pro ultra and love it so much. However, the mopping could be better for dried on stains. I see the Mova V50 mops with warm water and solution whereas the P10 ultra uses room temperature water with no solution. The solution is only used to clean the mount pads on the P10 ultra. I'm guessing that v50 does a better job for those reasons.
r/RobotVacuums • If you had to choose between the Roborock QRevo CurvX & Mova V50 ultra, which would be your pick and why? ->I was waffling between the mova v50 and the p10 pro. I ended up splurging on the mova v50 because of just a dad’s last minute recommendation. Also my hairs are always getting caught up in brushes and this supposedly solves the problem. We shall see how it is!
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->Vacuuming: Mova V50 > Mova Z60 > eufy E25 or E28 or Narwal Flow > Mova Z50 > Ecovacs Deebot X8 or T80 / Yeedi S14 > Ecovacs Deebot X9. Mopping: Mova Z60 or Ecovacs Deebot X8, X9, or T80 / Yeedi S14 > Mova Z50 > eufy E25 or E28 > Narwal Flow > Mova V50.
r/RobotVacuums • I just want the best robo vac available and the research is killing me ->I have hair that literally touches my butt crack, and I HATEEE cutting/pulling hair out of vacuums -- whether they're manual/upright vacs or robovacs. So I was hesitant for the longest time to purchase a robovac because what's the point of an autonomous vacuum if I have manually pull hair out it? I am not exaggerating when I say that the MOVA V50 has never had a single hair tangled in the vacuum brush roll. It actually blew my mind so much that I thought maybe it's not vacuuming anything? But the dust bin collected SOOOO much hair. I think the key is to find a robovac where the brush roll is tapered and disconnected on one end, so that hair can twirl to that open end and get sucked up. Don't quote me on this though because I've only experienced the MOVA V50, but I am aware that other brands have a similar design (some have the roller split in the middle). I've read that the ones that have blades to either cut or brush/untangle the hair also work, but not perfectly, but again, I've never used those kinds before either. I'm now waiting for a manual vacuum to come out with a similar open-ended design, and my life will be complete.
r/RobotVacuums • Does robot vacuum actually work for long hair? ->Mova is the sister brand of dreame. Their object avoidance is far better than Roborock's. Only slightly worse vacuum performance but it makes up for it since you can reliably run it on a schedule without prepping your house.
r/RobotVacuums • If you had to choose between the Roborock QRevo CurvX & Mova V50 ultra, which would be your pick and why? ->Recently, I was in the same position as you, and over the past two months, I’ve been researching which robot vacuum offers the best performance-to-price ratio among the top models. After seeing all the QA issues with the Mova Z60 and Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller (and since Narwal Flow isn’t available in my country, I didn’t look into it further), I ended up excluding roller-style robots from consideration. I’m convinced it’s better to wait for the second generation of those products instead of being an early adopter. Ecovacs usually lands “middle of the pack” in most tests, and its app is behind what Dreame/Mova and Roborock offer. There’s no point in buying the Dreame X50 Ultra, because the Mova V50 exists and is essentially a better version of the X50 Ultra at a lower price, while offering more features. In the end, I bought the Dreame L50 Ultra, thinking I didn’t need a retractable LiDAR, and it had great reviews everywhere. However, after a week of use, it stopped using water from the internal tank for mopping, so I returned it and got a refund. Finally, my decision came down to the Roborock Saros 10R and the Mova V50 Ultra Complete. When it comes to the app, both are top-notch, with only minimal differences. The Roborock app may be slightly better, but nothing significant enough to impact real-world use. Ultimately, I chose the Mova V50 Ultra because in the Czech Republic it is significantly cheaper than the Saros 10R, and in everything except navigation and battery life, it performs better, especially with mopping. So far, I couldn’t be happier with my choice.
r/RobotVacuums • Need help choosing my first robot ->To be honest, just get whichever one is cheaper in your country. Both are great robots. Sure, Mova is slightly better when it comes to mopping, but Roborock also has its own advantages over Mova.
r/RobotVacuums • Need help choosing my first robot ->Is the broken wheel issue fixed? Lol. Also, how's the navigation? I have a V50 and it has some navigation issues that I'm in contact with Mova about.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum ->I've made several posts and he said sounded like a Software issue? It does this pattern when I use the standard custom clean, and it does this in this particular place when there is nothing different there the floor is the same as the rest and it will detect other parts of the floor here recently as large particles when it's just shiny vinyl from the mopping. But it will get in this area right here and literally dance around for 20 minutes when it's in the standard pattern and custom clean. I ran it in a quick mode earlier and it seemed to function a little bit better but I'll have to do more testing. But it also detects my large rug in the living room areas as chords. https://preview.redd.it/vv3v5gw31hmf1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1cd647c82b9859b8d546810218dbe835e46cda21 I've made a couple post about this, I can't post all the pictures in this comment so I'm not going to flood this thread with pictures but yeah, I've cleaned the sensors religiously I've restarted the device, I remapped the house, nothing helps. It's also been skipping rooms when I do a room clean it'll Skip one, and two, and go to three for some reason.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum ->When it marks it, I do, but as you can see from the pictures it doesn't identify anything there it just goes in circles. Customer service is trying to tell me it appears to be a stuck wheel but it's ironic that it does it only in this specific spot and then for the majority of the rest of the house it doesn't do this. It's also been identifying patterns in my carpet as cables and not cleaning 25% of my carpet in the living room because of this. They're wanting to send me a replacement but honestly I'm not sure. They said the carpet issue is a software problem and that if the second robot does it they would want my cooperation and helping them figure it out. I think all the issues are software problem. The wheels do not seem stuck and if that was the case it's a huge coincidence that it does it only in this particular spot and the rest of the corridor doesn't do it.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum ->Yeah I'm waiting for them to reply. I just want to make sure, since I got this through amazon, that if I get the replacement and it still messes up I still have the opportunity for a full refund. I honestly am wondering if the P10 ultra pro may have better luck with it and better navigation. I don't know - this whole robot vacuum journey has been a bit of a headache starting with the x9 omnipro. However, we shall see.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum ->Navigation is bad. It recognizes carpet as non-cleanable stains, consistently detects designs on a throw rug as cables, and does erratic designs in one spot of my vinyl floor where it just goes in circles, no matter what. It has good lighting there's no difference in the flooring in this area and it consistently does this. There's no mirrors there's no nothing just a hallway closet door. This is in custom cleaning or clean genius. I've contacted support but considering sending it back and getting a Roborock, it's not sure which one yet. And the battery life is atrocious
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->Correct, I'm referring to the V50 - I am also getting this weird pattern in the same part of my floor. I just made a post to see if anyone can help - irritating. I have disabled the Large Particle and Stain detection and it still does it. Even changed the floor type and pattern to match mine and the same direction. Nothing special in this area, no windows, mirrors, etc. I'm like day 3 into using it, and really considering sending it back unless this can be resolved. All of the search and research into these vacuums is exhausting, as I tend to become a bit neurotic, lol. https://preview.redd.it/kbrsfdecqflf1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=18cd6bae44472b3464abd4f9df4f158922097dd3
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 carpet improvement ->Yeah, this is custom mode, not CleanGenius. I may retry to map my house tomorrow and see? I just hate to do that because I've set the map up the way I like it but I don't know I'm going to give it a couple more runs to see.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 carpet improvement ->I have the v50, and getting the z60 tomorrow and returning the v50. I can see how spaghetti could be triggered as a cord, so not really an issue for me there, because honestly I would rather it not clean up spaghetti noodles because that could cause issues for sure, such as mold and all of that. But I am interested in the extra downward pressure in cleaning my textured vinyl flooring more efficiently than the v50. When I initially got the v50 there was some navigation quirks and issues with going in circles and weird patterns, but honestly over time it seemed to have gotten better in that regard. I'm still returning it mostly due to the mopping not being up the car that I would anticipate it to be, but it's mostly because I have textured vinyl, it would do great on regular hardwood, non-textured vinyl, marble, or other types of floors, I would assume - but I'm hoping the z60 performs better in that regard.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova Z60! What makes it worth the upgrade? ->Honestly, the obstacle avoidance on the mova has been great, sometimes too great as it picks up designs in my carpet as cords but I haven't had it one time really run over chords or socks or anything like that. I've had some issues with navigation. But customer service has been great and I'm getting a replacement. But I've also realized that in a specific area in my hallway it would give weird patterns and the only thing in that area is a closet door that has a gap about one and a quarter inch from the bottom of the door to the floor and I played around with so much stuff that I ended up putting a curtain setting in that area and it runs smoothly there now. I think the robot identifies that small Gap has a curtain somehow. That's a software issue that I'm going to let the team know about to maybe they can adjust some things on their end in a firmware update. There's some other little quirks that I'm hoping this new robot replaces, but when it comes to obstacle avoidance I think it's really top notch.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra Complete (White) Currently listed for $1099 USD vs Dreame L50 Ultra ->My Mova v50 ai obstacle avoidance is completely broken. I'm on the lastest firmware and app and yes I did reset it to factory after firmware update. At best it miss detects things, and at worst it completely lets lost, doing the same circuit in a room and goind completely crazy. Whith this option off it works ok. For a 1200€ gadget i expected more. Thinking on returning it.
r/RobotVacuums • AI Navigation & Obstacle Avoidance Are the Most Important Features in a Robot Vacuum ->Mova v50. I’m quite happy with it.

r/RobotVacuums • Roborock Saros 10R: very poor first impression + what's up with the general state of the robot vacuum market? ->I have a mova, how do I see this battery drain? I can't tell
r/RobotVacuums • Roborock Saros 10R: very poor first impression + what's up with the general state of the robot vacuum market? ->I had this too. I put wall mirrors on the map and it seems to have helped. Or maybe just lucky on this map after having it on my other.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->Sounds like you got a dud. Mine has zero of those problems.
r/RobotVacuums • Still Not Perfect, but My Dog and I Think the MOVA V50 Is Close: My Thoughts After 10,000 ft² (~1,000 m²) Cleaned ->I have a mova v50. You can make custom shortcuts where you can define steps for rooms or zone cleaning that you can chain together. So that should work how you’re describing. Mova and dreame are basically the same company so I’d assume dreame can do the same.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a robot vacuum that supports one-click or voice-triggered cleaning scenarios ->I ended up with mova v50 and like it so far
r/Roborock • Should I Get a Roborock or Another Brand? I’m Lost ->Mova v50 can handle them too
r/RobotVacuums • Most capable robot vacuum that can handle sliding door tracks thresholds? ->Not the cheapest, but for example the Mova V50 has climbing capability for much higher steps. But that one has also mopping and a cleaning station, so maybe much more functions and more expensive than you're looking for. Climbing height should be in the specs of the different models, maybe you can find something cheaper that fits your needs.
r/RobotVacuums • Can a robot vacuum get over high thresholds? ->Same, although I don't even need the climbing capability.
r/RobotVacuums • Can a robot vacuum get over high thresholds? ->Take this with the biggest grain of salt because it just arrived today and I’ve done just one deep clean of the entire house so far LOL But I recently got the Mova V50 Ultra and honestly I don’t really have anything bad to say, it charged up, mapped the house and then did vac and mop of the entire 1600 sq ft and had about 25% battery left after completing all of that. So for me no real complaints, it did vac and mop and it navigated it all well and had battery to spare. Not much else I can really say other than it did what I was hoping it would do 🤣🫡
r/RobotVacuums • Are there any "good" robot vacuums? ->I've loved mine! The only thing that could make it better is a water kit to integrate it with my plumbing.
r/RobotVacuums • The MOVA V50 Pro Ultra — Vacuum Wars' New #1 Robot Vacuum ->I fully expect a lot of you to disagree, but at this point just about every new robot vacuum does a good job vacuuming and mopping. Whether it's spinning mop pads or roller mops; whether it's single brush rollers, dual brush rollers, or even split brush rollers, they are all probably going to leave your home clean. The reason there is so much disagreement on the best brand is because they all are within 1% physically of each other. I've tested quite a few robot vacuums, and let me tell you — the real game changer isn’t suction power or battery life. It’s AI navigation and obstacle avoidance. I recently set up a new robot vacuum (the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete), and as it zipped around I was shocked by how fast and efficient the initial mapping was. The moment I told it to map my main floor, it darted around like it already knew the place. It barely needed to fully enter rooms before registering them and moving on. Thanks to its onboard LiDAR and 3D structured light sensors, it mapped the layout without having to hug every wall or run every square inch. This is what a Robot Vacuum in 2025 should automatically do. I was recently traveling and while staying with a friend I watched his robot vacuum continually try to run over cords or other objects or simply get lost headed back to the base station. He only bought this vacuum a few months ago from Walmart. It was painful to watch. Additionally, with these new Robot Vacuums they are so adaptable. I left the little door under the stairs open during a later clean, and boom — it updated the map on the fly and cleaned that newly discovered room without needing me to remap anything manually. It recognizes different floor types and can adjust accordingly. The mapping isn’t just a one-and-done either. It constantly adjusts, recognizing furniture shifts, new areas, or open doors, or if you've moved a rug, which is huge if you’re not always resetting your home to a perfect layout before cleaning. At this point I believe the difference between a good robot and a great robot is obstacle avoidance? My Mova V50 recognizes over 200 different objects using AI and responds in real-time. Robots no longer bump into shoes, pet bowls, or get stuck under furniture. It even identifies stains and dirty spots — and cleans them again automatically. I can't even tell you how amazing this is compared to vacuums just a few years ago. I think you can all agree, the very very most important feature a robot vacuum can have is to avoid pet messes or other uncleanable spills. Imagine your vacuum runs over some pet waste and then proceeds to drag it all along your main floor? We argue over pricing of robot vacuums, but this one feature is worth everything. Bottom line: If your robot vacuum doesn’t have strong AI navigation and real-time obstacle avoidance, you’re missing out. It’s about having a vacuum that’s actually smart enough to clean your home without babysitting. AI is the difference between a robotic helper and a robotic headache. This is why I think it's so so important to look past the marketing features and focus on real world testing of obstacle avoidance and navigation. Am I delusional, or did I convince you? What’s the #1 feature you look for in a robot vacuum?
r/RobotVacuums • AI Navigation & Obstacle Avoidance Are the Most Important Features in a Robot Vacuum ->I've now owned a number of different robot vacuums, so I wanted to share my first impressions of the new Flagship vacuum from Mova. I have owned the Dreame X50, the Eufy E28, and I've tested the Roborock 10r. I received the Mova v50 Ultra complete about a week ago, and so far I'm really impressed. The very first thing I noticed is that this vacuum is very heavy. For some reason the base and the vacuum itself are heavier than any of the other ones I've used so far. I have no idea why. I guess they must be packing a lot of additional features in the vacuum below the surface. As I messed around with the vacuum, I think I figured out a few of them. The thing I can't quite believe, even to this day, is just how many additional accessories this vacuum comes with. Mine came with 10 mop pads, three filters, two side brushes, three dust bags, a big bottle of cleaning solution, and a small bottle of Pet solution, and to top it all off it also came with an additional TroboWave brush roller. I still wonder if TroboWave was a typo for TurboWave that Mova decided to just go with after the initial batch was misprinted 😂. Either way, in my opinion, this is enough accessories to last over a year without having to buy anything else. I looked up an accessory kit for the Dreame x50, and for a similar set of accessories it's well over $100 if not closer to $150. This was a bold choice by Mova, but it makes an already amazing vacuum even more attractive. The base station is what we've all come to expect from a high-end robot vacuum, it washes the mop pads with hot water, it dries them with hot air, it has a clean water tank, a dirty water tank, and a tank for cleaning detergent. This is where I found the first big surprise. The detergent tank has the ability to hold two different types of cleaning solution, one for normal floor cleaning solution, and one specifically for a Mova pet cleaning solution. I'll talk about ALL of the pet features later in the review, but needless to say, they are impressive. Once I clicked the vacuum into the base, it turned itself on and started to charge. I followed the instructions in the app to scan the QR code and set up the Wi-Fi. Setting up the Wi-Fi for this vacuum was the same as the Dreame app, and nearly the same as the eufy app. The V50 broadcasts its own Wi-Fi signal for setup. I did need to turn off the auto reconnect on my phone so that it would not jump back over to my home Wi-Fi during the setup, but I've heard others have had to do the same thing as well. The first thing the vacuum wanted to do was set up a bunch of the AI features and ask if I had pets in my home. I enabled all of the features, although I've heard that depending on your floor type, sometimes you need to disable the stain recognition so the vacuum doesn't get too confused with the pattern on the floor. I told the vacuum to go out and do its initial map of my main floor, I was extremely surprised how quickly it was able to map everything. I felt like it would barely enter a room before it would turn around and leave again. The onboard lidar and 3D structured light seem to do a very efficient job of mapping a room without having to cover every single corner. When the vacuum was done mapping, it did a fairly good job of breaking up the different rooms and correctly identifying them. It did have some problems recognizing my stairs going down into the basement, and try to name it as an additional bedroom. Luckily, the app is pretty good about letting you merge, divide, and hide rooms. I just clicked on “hide” for the spot over my stairs and it worked. I also discovered that if you have a floor-length mirror the lidar thinks there's a room beyond it. I don't know if this is an alternative dimension but I could never get the vacuum to go there 😉. I did notice that it's constantly updating its map and can make adjustments if things change between cleaning tasks. For example I accidentally left the door under the stairs open and it happily went in and mapped that little room after the initial mapping task. Here's where things are going to get controversial, I prefer the spinning mop pads on the V50 over the mop roller of the Eufy E28. Logically it seems like a mop roller should do a better job. They advertise that it puts fresh water on the roller while pulling dirty water off. The truth is, I don't think it's that successful. The mop roller can't get up against the baseboards as well as a spinning mop pad and I had more streaks and leaks from the Eufy E28. Maybe it'll get better in time, but for now I like the V50 mopping better. The X factor for all these Robot Vacuums is how well it recognizes stains and dirty spots so it can clean them again. The V50 excels at identifying and cleaning up spills and other little messes. Its AI can recognize 200 different objects and the 3D structured light keeps it from running into things in real time. The carpet cleaning seems pretty great too. The dual brush rollers seem to channel the dust and hair into the dust bin, and that empties into the base station. One kind of cool feature, the base station has the ability to dry the dust bin and the dust collection bag. I don't have a huge issue with humidity, but I can see how it could be great for others. As I mentioned above, I have the Dreame X50 Ultra which shares about 90% of the features of the Mova V50 Ultra Complete. The reason the V50 better fits my home is the pet features. Since we have three dogs, keeping the floors clean is a serious challenge—and an even bigger priority. The pet-specific cleaning features are probably what first attracted me to the MOVA V50. We were losing the war against our dogs pretty much every day. Between dirty paw prints, sticks, and other junk from the backyard, we were tired of cleaning. When we were setting up the V50, I already knew we had something different. At the end of every week, it sends you a notification to review your pet’s activity. It shows you the areas where your pets were most frequently seen, then offers to re-clean those spots with its special pet solution. If you're away from home, you can even ask the vacuum to find your pet. (I mostly use it like a game of hide and seek with my dogs now, but I can definitely see how others might use it to keep their pets out of trouble.) It can also detect where the dog dishes are and use extra suction to pick up the loose kibble that always ends up on the floor. Probably the most important pet-related feature so far is the AI obstacle recognition. That means when my 16-year-old dog has an accident on the tile, the vacuum (so far—crossing fingers) has been able to identify it and avoid it. That one feature alone is worth everything. While I mainly wanted to highlight the pet features in this post, I’ve got to mention how cool it is that the LiDAR sensor retracts so it can get under low furniture, and the StepMaster system lets it climb over thresholds and even the U-shaped bases of our bar stools. With some of my older vacuums I was just resigned to the fact that they would get stuck on things but the V50 has the ability to rescue itself using those retractable little Stepmaster legs. I know I've only had it for a week, and I'll keep testing it, but so far I'm a pretty big fan of the Mova V50 Ultra Complete. I personally feel the price point and the features make it hard to ignore, but the additional accessories make it nearly a must have.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I really like the app and I haven't had any issues navigating the settings. It's the same app Dreame uses as well, simply rebranded. I think they've put some good time into making it intuitive to use.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I really like the 10r! It's so thin and does an amazing job vacuuming and mopping. My biggest issue is the price! Why does it cost $1500? I feel like there are other really good vacuums out there (Dreame L40, Mova P10 Pro Ultra) that can do 90%+ what the 10r can do for a lot cheaper. I did notice a little bit of a problem with some stuffing from a toy getting caught between the 2 brush rollers that didn't get sucked up, but the cotton filling probably would have been stuck in just about all vacuums.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I understand what you mean. I do like the cleaning station on the V50 more than the cleaning station on the P10 Pro Ultra. The old cleaning station required a lot more work to keep it clean. For my home the spinning mop pads have worked well. I still haven't had an improved experience with the mop rollers I've tried. That roller only touches the ground in one spot and I ended up with more streaks and the dirty water tanks are a pain to clean.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I think the best vacuum for the money on that list is the Mova V50 Ultra. I've been happy with all my Mova products and the V50 is an amazing machine!
r/RobotVacuums • Anyone tried those? Totally overwhelmed on prime day ->I consider myself a big fan of Robot Vacuums. I bought the Mova P10 Pro Ultra earlier this year and was so amazed with the features you get for the price. I was so impressed with the P10 Pro Ultra on my main floor that I almost immediately bought the Mova S10 Plus for my carpeted basement. Since then, I've been on a bit of a vacuum review adventure. I've had the chance to test and review robot vacuums from a few different companies. Mova was nice enough to send me the Z60 so I could compare it to my Eufy E28 as well as the Dreame X50 or the Mova V50. The idea of this initial review is to point out the pros and cons of the Z60 without getting so stuck on every little feature. I really like my Dreame X50 and my Mova V50, but I personally feel there is a case for getting the Mova Z60 if you are still using the last generation of robot vacuums from a year ago. I have 4 kids, 2 dogs, my wife’s hair salon, and a decent sized home, so I think I have a pretty good testing environment. Obviously, the biggest feature upgrade to the Mova Z60 over either the Dreame X50 or the Mova V50, is the switch to a roller mop rather than the spinning mop rollers. I have been a spinning mop pad purist in the past. When I got my Eufy E28 I was so eager to switch to a roller mop under the promise that we finally had a way to pick up messes, rather than just spinning them. With the Eufy E28 I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I’d be. It had a tendency to drip water from its onboard dirty water tank (they’ve addressed this by sending me a new upgraded tank). Also, because the Mop Roller couldn’t be detached like some of the spinning mop pad robots, it would end up dragging its dirty mop roller over the rugs and carpets in my home. Obviously, the mop roller was stationary which means there were gaps between the wall and the mop surface. It felt like using the restroom and only cleaning your palms and not your fingers, you need to clean the whole floor. My excitement for a mop roller quickly diminished. Fortunately, I feel like Mova took the feedback and addressed it with the new Mova Z60. It still has a gap between the wall and the roller mop, but it is able to extend as close as it can to baseboards. In addition, it has an ingenious AutoShield that covers the mop roller when it detects carpet or rugs in addition to lifting it off the carpet. The little cover slides right over the mop roller to keep everything dry. That feature alone made me excited to use a mop roller again. Another thing I noticed, the mop roller on the Z60 is nice and long (10 inches). I know the newer Ecovacs robot vacuums have OSMO Rollers that can also extend the side, but they are noticeably shorter and the Ecovacs take longer to cover the whole floor. As the Z60 mops, it is spraying clean water through 12 jets and simultaneously removing dirty water from the other side with a scraper bar. Somehow the scraper bar also keeps the fibers of the mop roller from getting matted down. When I lifted the vacuum up during a cleaning job, the brush was still in really good shape. While I never felt like the spinning mop pads did a bad job on my floors, pouring out the dirty water tank on the Z60 has me reconsidering my opinion. I feel like it is more efficient at truly getting dirt and messes off your floor. Since the robot is always putting clean water on the mop roller and then scraping off the dirty water on the other side, it seems like a more efficient way to clean. I could specifically see the red sports drink it has mopped up, and stored onboard, when I poured out the dirty water. I thought my floors were clean before but now I’m a lot more confident. Another initial observation, the Mova Z60 is pretty agile at getting around my house. My original Mova P10 Pro Ultra was 4.1” tall (10.5 cm), but the Mova Z60, when it lowers its Lidar Tower, is only 3.78” tall (9.6 cm). While this height difference doesn’t seem like a lot, I’ve found out that a lot of couches are about 4” off the ground, so 3.78” makes a difference. I haven’t really noticed any navigation issues when the Lidar tower is retracted, so I consider this a benefit of the vacuum. On the flip side, the Mova Z60 has the ability to lift itself up so it can cross over thresholds. When it reaches a small threshold, little legs extend out and it can lift itself over. This means it can both go under low furniture, and go over small thresholds. I’m not sure if there are many companies outside of Mova and Dreame that are doing this. In addition, so far the Mova Z60 has great navigation and obstacle avoidance. This means is, this generation of vacuums are much more capable of cleaning every type of house without being babysat. The biggest disappointment is when you had thought your vacuum was out cleaning your home and you find it next to your nightstand eating your charging cord. So far I haven’t had any real problems. The Z60 heads out every night to mop the long entryway to our house, and we had a huge group of kids over at the house that all left their shoes by the front door. I was extremely impressed to see the Z60 pick its way through the maze of shoes and clean where it could. It could have easily sucked up a shoelace, but the onboard Binocular AI was unmatched at avoiding the laces. It has done equally as well avoiding charging cords and all those other obstacles that would have plagued robot vacuums from just a year ago. The Mova Z60 also has some fun features like its ability to identify high traffic pet zones so you can instruct it to go back and give them a more thorough clean. The Z60 has really strong suction and the “TroboWave” dual roller brush system (I keep wanting to call it “TurboWave”). This means it has no issues picking up loose dog food around my dog's dishes. Like the Mova V50, the Z60 also has the DuoSolution for addressing pet messes. The vacuum can be customized how often to use the second solution in the menu. You can even send the Z60 on a mission to find your pets if you want to check on them. It’ll go room to room until it finds your pet and you can view them and talk to them right through the robot. To my youngest daughter, this is really just an updated game of hide and seek, but for many pet owners this could bring some real peace of mind when you are gone. What “cons” do I see with the Mova Z60, and what would I like to see them continue to improve? I wish there was a way to tell the Z60 to specifically use the Pet Solution tank. While you can choose between “Balanced” and “High Frequency,” there is no way to tell the vacuum to use the pet solution on a specified run. I’m sure this is something they could update in the settings, but for now there is no good way to address that. Probably the biggest change I noticed between the Mova V50 and the Mova Z60, is the dust bin. Because the Z60 has all new water tanks and internal gears to spin the roller and extend it out to the side, the dust bin is small. I haven’t timed my V50 against the Z60 on carpets specifically, but I imagine the V50 will win that race since it can hold more before returning to empty the onboard dust bin. Because I do almost all my cleaning when people are out of the house, it doesn’t really affect me, but for some people they may have to consider it. I highly doubt there is any real way around this issue since the vacuum needs space for the additional water tank, but it’s definitely smaller. I guess I’d also like to see the obstacle identification categories expanded. Some obstacles are not as risky to your vacuum as others. Shoe laces, charging cords, and socks can be fatal to your cleaning job, but in testing the mopping I had a few times it would identify a spill or a mess and try to avoid it rather than recognize it could be cleaned up. This is probably my own fault, not many people will intentionally leave spaghetti or whipped cream on the floor just to see how their robot vacuum reacts to it. Overall, I’m pretty impressed with the Mova Z60 and I think it’s going to do well in a lot of homes this year. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you’d like me to run a testing scenario for you. I have loved testing vacuums as a hobby and my kids make fun of me a lot. Whether Mova sent me the Z60 or not, I probably would have bought one and I would definitely have given the same feedback. I’m truly here to help wherever I can, so feel free to hit me up.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova Z60! What makes it worth the upgrade? ->I've really liked it so far. I feel like the Z60 has been subbing better than the V50 as a whole. I thought my floors were already clean but found even more dirt using the Z60.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova Z60! What makes it worth the upgrade? ->I have tried several ecovacs, handful of roombas and currently daily driving a mova v50 and a roomba 705. Despite all the reviewers and testers opinions - my real world experience is the roomba 705 hands down outperforms the mova v50 in vacuuming power. I'm not sure how or why but the dustbins dont lie. The roomba spends less time thinking about what to do, and just does it. The mova is great because you can ditch the mop pads and not have to worry about a snail trail on your rugs and carpets, but the roomba just gets the job done. I think all the AI and obstacle avoidance and millions of sensors on the high end machines bog them down a bit. Roomba figured it out with the 705 series. Mova spent 15 minutes doing a 2x sweep on a small kids bedroom and using 15% of its battery. The 705 does it in 8 minutes and uses much less battery. While picking up more crud.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner In 2025? ->I have the Mova V50 and vacuums and mops daily. I set it to go to work at 11 PM and wake up to freshly mop floors every morning. Alternatively, I have it vacuum and mop my bedroom at six every morning after I leave for work.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vacuums - are they worth it ? Do you use yours? ->Crazy rating for that category because I've been living with it for weeks and it's been perfect with obstacle avoidance in my house with 2 dogs and 3 cats plus everything else in a household.
r/RobotVacuums • The MOVA V50 Pro Ultra — Vacuum Wars' New #1 Robot Vacuum ->I have a Mova (Dreame sub brand) v50 that can be had for around ~$1000 on sale. It's been amazing since it arrived and has kept up with 2 large dogs and 3 cats in the house. I have mostly tile with quite a few area rugs and it handles both very well. I have yet to have an incident where it hasn't avoided something it should have. It vacuums hair very well and mops well enough that I don't feel like I need to redo its work. It has a second mopping solution tank specifically for pets and Matter support is coming in an upcoming update.
r/RobotVacuums • Recommendation for Vac/Mop Around $1000 USD? ->I have both the p10pu and the v50. If you compare the two bots on a strictly cost to performance basis, then I don’t think you can beat the P10pu. The exceptions would be if you really valued something only the v50 could do like lowering lidar, climbing thresholds, etc. In other words, the v50 costs 100% more but only mops/vacuums 30 to 40% better, if that. So, diminishing returns. With that being said, the only thing I don’t like about the v50 is the battery drain but I just schedule around it.
r/RobotVacuums • The MOVA V50 Pro Ultra — Vacuum Wars' New #1 Robot Vacuum ->I give Matic the Platinum award for industrial design. It's friendly, fun and blends in. Most people wouldn't even know it's a vacuum. The Gold goes to Narwal. They've really cared about this since the beginning and their competitors—Roborock Curv and DJI Romo—have copied them which I also really like. Silver goes to Eufy's S1 Pro. My family calls it the "Tron vacuum" because of its translucent plastics and illuminating ring. Bronze goes to the MOVA P and V line. I like the white version and I actually prefer the glossy because it's easier to wipe clean. I'd give the Dyson 360 Nav an honorable mention just because it looks beefy, like it's ready for business and comes in a cool color.
r/RobotVacuums • Best designed robot vacuums, rank em | and why don't manufacturers care about the design? ->In this list, you pay more for obstacle avoidance and special features like threshold climbing. That's the main difference between the mid and high tiers. And sometimes build quality. If you have a lot of thresholds and need climbing wheels, the Dreame X50. If you have a lot of obstacles that need avoiding (toys, poop, etc), the Freo Z Ultra. It should be heavily discounted for Black Friday since it's been superseded by the Flow and Freo Z10 Ultra. Keep in mind, consumables are higher for the Narwal's. If you want a more well rounded bot with probably the best app, the Saros 10R. But you're gonna pay out the nose—don't pay more than $1399 for it. I'd probably stay away from the Qrevo S at this point. It's the oldest of the bunch. The Freo Z and Saros 10R will feel more premium, if that matters to you. I'd consider the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete too. It's basically an X50 with a nicer base station and cheaper price. Do not buy before Black Friday.
r/RobotVacuums • Saros 10R, Freo Z Ultra, X50 Ultra, or just Qrevo S ->I returned mine due to this issue. I do feel like this started happening after it updated to 2501 firmware.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 carpet improvement ->I had a lot of problems with ecovacs , so i changed with mova v50 and i'm going pretty well with that.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum ->Roborock S10 (Saros 10r) – more mature ecosystem, great app, strong vac. Doesn’t have hot mop washing like Dreame/Mova. Service/support tends to be better established. Dreame X50 Ultra – full flagship. ProLeap legs (6 cm), dual roller, hot mop wash, strong suction. Best for mixed floors and heavier mess. Parts are easy enough to find now but price is higher. Some users love it, some get quirks and support can be hit or miss depending on region. Mova V50 Ultra – basically Dreame tech under a different name. Same hardware family, sometimes priced lower. Software updates come slower, but performance is close to X50. Ecovacs X9 Pro – strong mopping, but suction and obstacle avoidance are behind Dreame/X50. Their newer X2/X1 lines are better, so X9 Pro feels a bit dated now. If you were happy with your S7 and just want “next level,” the X50 Ultra gives you the most upgrade in features (threshold climbing, mop care, suction). The S10 is a safer bet if you want stability and support.
r/Dreame_Tech • Roborock Saros 10r or Dreame x50 ultra or mova v50 ultra or ecovacs x9 pro. ->The mapping on this robot is a desastre. We ended sending it back. It does clean very well but what does it help if it can’t find its way in your house and if it can’t manage to reinstall mops itself time after time again. This is the worst ghostmapper we have tried so far and we really want to warn others about it. If you decide to try buy from Amazon and use your 30 day return window. We switched for a roborock curv and even though it probably cleans a bit less it navigates everything and runs without any challenges what so ever - in the end that’s really an importantcc part to think about. We don’t buy robots to nanny them all the time.
r/RobotVacuums • Still Not Perfect, but My Dog and I Think the MOVA V50 Is Close: My Thoughts After 10,000 ft² (~1,000 m²) Cleaned ->I just got the MOVA V50 last week as well and noticed the same thing about it being a little gun shy/inconsistent with going under certain areas with retractable LIDAR. I have a pair of chinchillas and the clearance under their cage is a hair under 4". I noticed it would sometimes go under a little bit but not all the way (and sometimes just avoid it all together), so I used the remote control function and it could fit under the cage, but I didn't realize the bottom shelf sags a little bit in the middle, which caused the top cover to be scratched slightly. I have a couple of printer carts where the clearance is about 4" just to get under it, but the actual ceiling is maybe 4.5"-5" once you get under that and it will not go under that on it's own even though it can fit under it. There is a setting in Auto Lifting LDS that is still in beta where you can tell it to basically be less sensitive to that height clearance, but it also says may cause scratches. Haven't tried it myself, since I don't want to make those scratches worse.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I almost pulled the trigger on the Roborock Q5 Max+ for $329 last night since it was recommended by wirecutter. Then I remembered a video review I saw of the Mova P50 Ultra a few months agp and almost got that for $650...but then I saw the Mova V50 Ultra Complete for $950.. and ended up buying the V50. I was unfortunately in a ADHD hyper focus state when researching them last noght, so not 100% sure I made the right decision especially since I've had two robot vacuums before (a roomba in the early 2010s and a Neato from like 2016-2018) and never got a ton of use out of them. This was mainly because I always had to "prepare" the space for these vaccums to run (ie move cables etc), they would get stuck a lot etc. My (probably weak) justifications for getting the V50 are: 1. The collapsible LIDAR so it can fit under spaces that are only like 3.6" high or so. I have a pair of chinchillas and their cage has about a 3.8-3.9" space between the floor and the bottom shelf, so a vacuum that can fit under there is a huge plus (chinchillas are messy little rodents, there is a reason I keep a small shop vac next to their cage). I also have a couple shelfs/tables with simlair sized spaces from the floor. 2. The few reviews I've seen for the V50 say that it is very good at avoiding cables, which was always an issue with my previous robot vacuums, no matter how much I tried to move them out of the way. 3. The powerful suction. With the Chinchillas dust management is an abosulte pain in the ass, the neato robot vacuum I had previously really was not great at vacuuming up dust on the hardwood floors in the apartment I was in at the time. 4. The self cleaning mop. My current apartment has vinyl floor which I don't really mop at all, just spot clean from spills and regular vacuuming. Having something that does it for me, and seems to be able to clean the mops themselves is a huge plus. I still don't know if this was worth the premium price (gets delivered middle of next week), but it feels like this will be the one that actually "clicks" for me (that is what one reviewer said of the P50 Max anyway). We'll see I guess, I am very excited to get it regardless.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->I got the MOVA V50 for $950 (USD) during Prime day last month, so you should be able to get it on sale for under a thousand, if you decide it's the one you want and are willing to wait a little for another sale. You can use a site like CamelCamelCamel to see the price history of any Amazon item to see if it's worth waiting for a sale or not.
r/RobotVacuums • Overwhelmed by research: Need help choosing model $1000 or less ->Mova. I have the v50 and it’s amazing. I used to have a Roomba - oh my that thing was absolute trash. It would constantly getting stuck, or say it was stuck while in the middle of the hardwood floor despite not being stuck, getting hairs tangled in the roller, etc etc etc. it was one error after another with the Roomba I literally hated that thing it was complete garbage. The mova has had zero issues and does a phenomenal job cleaning. And I have two golden retrievers. Very strongly recommend.
r/RobotVacuums • Alright. What robot vacuum should I buy? ->I've got a V50 and it tackles my 4cm threshold with zero issues. It's my first robot vacuum and man what a great quality of life purchase it's been.
r/RobotVacuums • Can a robot vacuum get over high thresholds? ->I've got a Mova V50 and it gets over this just fine. It's about 4cm from the bottom to the top. [https://imgur.com/OGXos1N](https://imgur.com/OGXos1N)
r/RobotVacuums • Can a robot vacuum get over high thresholds? ->Mova P50 but not for $1000. I think the P50 and V50 are very close in what they do, but some of their consumables are different. I.e dual solutions for mop settings on the V50, different brush rollers, etc
r/RobotVacuums • Can't decide on Mova or Dreame! ->Hi I am testing the curvx now and it's a very good vac. Has similar features to the Saros 10. Mova v50 will have the better obstacle detection but the curvx will be better for overall vacuuming. Mova v50 if you have pets, large vac messes all the time Curvx if you want more predictable vac performance but not great for cords. Also it's better looking in my opinion with it's rounded shape. Mopping is about the same on both as both have stain detection but no dirty water sensors in the clean station.
r/RobotVacuums • Help me pick a robot vacuum .Roborock Curv, curx or MOVA v50 ->Happy with my purchase of the MOVA V50. My floors are super clean :)
r/RobotVacuums • The MOVA V50 Pro Ultra — Vacuum Wars' New #1 Robot Vacuum ->I’m not in the UK, in Australia. I bought the MOVA v50 yesterday and I’m so happy with it. It’s way over priced though, as most are. I paid $2599 AUD. I did a lot of research and was either The MOVA or Dreame.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum with mopping - UK ->I just wrote a super detailed post on this topic you can check my profile for the full thing but TL;DR >Real-time rollers/tracks look great in ads, but that’s mostly marketing theater. >For daily use, spinning pads are more than enough to maintain a base level of clean. >Tracks/rollers use more way more water, are louder, and need more maintenance. >Unless you’re constantly dealing with wet messes, they’re overkill. >Spinning pads remain the most practical choice for most homes Also not sure where you're seeing positive mentions about roomba, but avoid them entirely. Yeedi is a sub brand of ecovacs - its their budget line. They have some great value robots their but the value king robot right now is the Mova P10 Pro Ultra (not available in the eu) Eufy is fine but you wont find a lot of their products at the top of any rankings lists and their rolling mops have issues with the dirty water tank leaking. YMMV Right now id say Roborock, Dreame, Narwal and Mova are the best brands to choose from at this current moment. Knowing your region and budget would help with a recommendation. If you want a mopping first robot the Narwal flow at $1099 (track mop) is looking really nice. Probably the best mopper you can get at the moment. Only downside is that thing chugs water. Ecovacs robots have really good mopping scores as well but its hard to recommend them because they seem to have weird issues with the app and getting them to work right. If you can figure that out they are a good option. Besides that The Qrevo S5v is also a really highly rated mopper Best overall robot right now is the Mova V50 pro ultra at $1099
r/RobotVacuums • New to robot vacuums and confused about mop types ->Mova has the longest warranty at 3 years and with your price range the V50 is probably the best option for you. $1099 right now and one of the best vacuums on the market with the longest warranty
r/RobotVacuums • What is the best robot vacuum for cat hair? ->Lots of complaints about Ecovacs. Mainly with how many problems it’s gives users trying to set it up and get it working. Seems like they are good robots with a lot of problems on the app side of things that make it hard to recommend. I’d suggest looking at the Mova V50 which is cheaper than the X8 pro Omni and higher rated plus much easier to set up and use
r/RobotVacuums • ANYONE HAPPY WITH THEIR ECOVAC ROBOT ->Everything has its trade offs but the best vacuum overall right now is probably the Mova V50 Ultra Complete. https://vacuumwars.com/compare/robot-vacuums/
r/RobotVacuums • UK: best robot vacuum/mop currently available? ->Yes the Mova one. Of the flagships it’s the best right now I’d say. That, or the X50. Narwal flow looks enticing but you can’t really trust the English reviews out right now. Everyone that has one in NA was sent it for free to review I’d avoid Ecovacs and Saros10r right now
r/RobotVacuums • Planning to buy my first robot vacuum, I plan to go for a flagship model. What would you all recommend? ->In general, the Dreame X50 and MOVA V50 work reliably out of the box (though they still have flaws). By contrast, the Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni does clean carpets better (per Frickhelm’s testing) than Dreame/MOVA models, but it requires much more user intervention to get working smoothly. That extra hassle makes me less inclined to recommend it. Dreame/MOVA also have an advantage when it comes to navigation: they’re less likely to get stuck or miss obstacles, whereas Ecovacs still struggles here—meaning you’ll spend less time rescuing the robot. VacuumWars has had make several follow up videos about the X8 Omni because of its persistent operation issues and Just A Dad reviews has basically cast of the entire line up because it gives users so many problems.
r/RobotVacuums • Planning to buy my first robot vacuum, I plan to go for a flagship model. What would you all recommend? ->I wouldn’t recommend the Saros models, since they don’t perform as well on carpets compared to older Roborock flagships like the S8 MaxV Ultra or Qrevo models with dual rubber brushes (e.g. Qrevo Master or Qrevo Slim). In general, the Dreame X50 and MOVA V50 work reliably out of the box (though they still have flaws). By contrast, the Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni does clean carpets better (per Frickhelm’s and vacuum wars testing) than Dreame/MOVA models, but it requires much more user intervention to get working smoothly. That extra hassle makes me less inclined to recommend it. Dreame/MOVA also have an advantage when it comes to navigation: they’re less likely to get stuck or miss obstacles, whereas Ecovacs still struggles here—meaning you’ll spend less time rescuing the robot. Buying advice: • If the X50 is the cheapest option (sometimes the MOVA V50 is cheaper depending on where you ), go for it—just buy from a reputable retailer so returns are easy if something goes wrong. • If the MOVA V50 and X50 are the same price, pick the V50 since it’s basically an upgraded X50.
r/RobotVacuums • Planning to buy my first robot vacuum, I plan to go for a flagship model. What would you all recommend? ->Unfortunately, the P10 Pro Ultra isn’t available in the EU right now — which is a shame, because it’s currently the best value in the industry. For North America and the EU, I think the V50 is the best vacuum you can get at the moment. If it’s in your budget, I’d grab that one. Every vacuum has its downsides, but try not to overthink them. Most “negatives” only show up when you compare models side by side. In real-world use, you’ll be extremely happy with your purchase and entirely satisfied with its navigation and obstacle avoidance, both of which will improve over time especially with OTA updates. When the X50 came out it had the same "negatives" that were eventually fix with an OTA update. As long as you know the vacuum you are getting has the hardware (lidar + RGB cam) the navigation and obstacle avoidance will all improve with updates.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 or Mova P10 Pro Ultra or other... ->I recommend the Mova V50 over the X9 pro Omni and the S8 Pro. This is [this is](https://www.smarthomeassistent.de/saugroboter/)the most comprehensive testing and ranking tool for the EU market. You can go in here, set your filters, and choose the highest rated one in your budget. Should make it simple for you.
r/RobotVacuums • Making a decision is so hard! ->The Narwal Flow has been out in asia for a long time. Use google translate in chrome browser here: https://blog.naver.com/roboticsnugget/223895959529 part.1 https://blog.naver.com/roboticsnugget/223897327563 part.2 This was really helpful in depth review comparing it to the Dreame X50. There's just no way any part of a cat is getting sucked up into any of these vacuums. They arent that strong or big enough. Cats and people are very easy for these machines to recognize. They're big compared to the things they struggle with, like cords. You dont need to worry about this. Beyond that though my cat just ignores and runs away when it gets close anyways The Narwal notoriously uses a ton of water, so if you dont want to want to be refilling constantly then you might choose something different. I dont know if you're dead set on this price range but right now you can get the Mova V50 cheaper than than the Narwal flow with code USLIVEONLY50 for $50 off through movas website. It has Lidar+RGB and its the better vacuum of the 2 unless you're dead set on a rolling mop. and Mova vacuums do specifically have pet recognition which is fun. It does recognize pets, but since it has a camera, it records a .gif of your pet interacting with it and sends it to your phone lol I use a Mova P10 Pro Ultra in 1950 square feet, half my house every day and I need to replace the water once a week. Your house is smaller, so you might need to refill less depending on how much you mop
r/RobotVacuums • Narwal Flow Thoughts ->The V50 is the choice out of this lineup and it's not close imo. It's probably the best robot out at the moment. Dreame and Mova are the same company by the way If you want the best value robot there is one you haven't listed here which is the Mova P10 Pro ultra which should be the choice over the L40 in that price range. It's probably the best bang for your buck vacuum on the market.
r/RobotVacuums • Can't decide on Mova or Dreame! ->The best robot of the ones you listed here is the v50. But are any of these $400 better than the x40? Certainly not
r/RobotVacuums • Help with choosing - Roborock/Dreame/Mova ->If you’re deciding between these, I’d skip the Eufy S1 Pro. A few reasons: The S2 is coming out soon The dirty water tank tends to leak It’s over a year old, and there are better/cheaper options now The Narwhal Flow looks great, but it has some flaws if edge cleaning matters to you. Since they didn’t go with a swing-out brush, the design tends to fling dirt around instead of pulling it in (check Jamie Andrews’ recent video on this). It especially pushes dirt behind the vacuum, where it doesn’t get picked up again. On top of that, track and roller mops (even if they extend) just aren’t great at edge cleaning. If edge cleaning is a priority, I’d look at the Mova P50 or V50. Swing-out mop pads + brush arms will always beat extending tracks/rollers here. P50 → Strong value at ~$600, but front wheel issues are common. If you get a good unit, it’s fantastic for the price. If you get a bad one, you’ll be stuck dealing with the wheel. If oyu choose this one then make sure you order from amazon since they will take your return with no questions asked V50 → $1,099, more expensive but also the best overall vacuum right now, def top 2. So bottom line: Skip the S1 Pro. Narwhal Flow = great, but poor edge cleaning. If edge cleaning is important → P50 (better value but risky) or V50 (expensive but less manufacturing defects). Hope that helps!
r/RobotVacuums • I still can't decide ->If you’re wanting to spend that much you might as well get the Mova V50 ultra complete. It’s better than the Saros and $200 cheaper. I really don’t think you need to spend that much anyways though. If all you want is LiDAR and spinning mops, you can get the Mova p10 pro ultra for $500 It has spinning mops, extending brush&mop, hot water cleaning and a premium base with detergent dispensing, auto empty, and auto mop washing and drying. Basically all the features of a $1000 plus robot it’s the best value in the market right now
r/RobotVacuums • Talk me out of getting a Roborock Saros 10R ->> I'm also really interested in the new Narwal. I love that it will keep mopping until it detects the water runs clean when being rinsed off. Dreame and Mova have dirty water sensors in a lot of their robots as well and they will reclean with their “clean genius” setting if they detect overly dirty water. This feature is present in many mid range options so don’t feel like you need to shell out $1099 for that feature. Would be helpful if you gave your region and your budget. If you’re in the U.S. I’d recommend looking at the Mova P10 Pro ultra probably the best bang for your buck in the entire industry at the moment. At the price the L40 ultra is going for I’d recommend it over the entire L40s lineup. The X series is obviously a tier above all those other ones you listed. If you plan on spending $1000+ on your robot then I’d recommend the Mova v50 over the Dreame X50 and X40. It’s about $300 cheaper than the X50 and it’s better. And better than the X40 for like $70 more. The narwal flow could be great but I’d wait a bit for more reviews to come out. Everything you see on YouTube was sponsored and paid. Anyone in the U.S. with that vacuum was given it for free so not sure really how good it is at the moment. Seems promising so far looking at the Asia reviews, just still not sure it’s the better buy than the V50 at this point in time since they are the same price. Keep in mind with the narwal flow that thing chugs water. Especially when you let it keep recleaning over and over. So if you want a lower maintenance robot you might look else where
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame vs Narwal? ->You can get the Mova v50 for the same price as the L50 and its better than the X50 More suction and the upgraded threshold feature for $1099
r/RobotVacuums • Help me decide: Dreame L50 Pro Ultra vs X50 Ultra Complete – is it worth the extra $170? ->If you can find the Mova V50 Ultra in your price range, I think that’s the obvious choice here. Right now, it’s the best robot vacuum/mop on the market, in my opinion. I believe it’s listed at $1,099 on Mova’s website, and if that fits your budget, it’s easily the one I’d go for. I would avoid anything from Eufy at the moment—especially the S1 Pro—because of ongoing dirty water tank leaking issues. Even after sending out replacement tanks, there are still plenty of reports of the new ones leaking, so I’d steer clear for now. As for mop type, I don’t think roller mops are worth the premium or the extra maintenance they require. They’re more work to keep clean, and they tend to have worse edge and corner cleaning. If you have spinning mops running daily or every other day to maintain a baseline of cleanliness, you don’t need the extra “scrubbing power” that roller mops offer. That extra power only really matters for big, wet messes—which 99% of households don’t deal with regularly—and even if you do, I think it’s a bad idea to have a robot clean those kinds of messes. Don’t be swayed by the extreme stress tests you see YouTubers doing; they’re not realistic for normal homes. For most people, spinning mop pads are more than enough, and the Mova V50 Ultra gives you that in the best flagship package out there—at a lower price than the other top-tier robots. If you’re really set on a rolling mop, I’d still avoid Eufy (as mentioned) and also avoid Ecovacs’ rollers, since they’ve had their own issues. The Narwal Flow is probably the best option in that category. It uses a track-style mop, which is, as far as I know, the only track-style mop available in North America—and it’s notably superior to a standard roller. It does have trade-offs: no extending side brush and no automatic solution-dispensing tank, so you have to add cleaning solution to the water manually. Apparently, an upgrade is capable for that, but who knows when or if it will actually happen. If you can get the Narwal Flow with the plumbed-in option and have the space to hardwire it into your plumbing, it’s a fantastic choice. You still don’t get the extending side brush, but you do get the solution tank on that version, plus you’ll have much less maintenance compared to other roller mops—no swapping dirty and clean water tanks—and it’s supposed to have a self-cleaning dirty water tank. How well that works remains to be seen, but it does reduce a lot of the maintenance burden that comes with other roller mops .
r/RobotVacuums • still haven't made a decision. can you help? ->Hey everyone, We’re excited to give the r/robotvacuums community an early look at a robot vacuum that we *just* finished testing, and it blew us away: the **MOVA V50 Pro Ultra Complete**. This review probably won’t go live for a couple more weeks, but I couldn’t wait to share it here. Spoiler: **it just took the #1 spot on the Vacuum Wars Top 20 Robot Vacuum list**, dethroning the Ecovacs X9 Omni, which had held the crown for several weeks. We bought the V50 ourselves and put it through every test we have. What we found was a truly complete package—cutting-edge features, excellent cleaning performance, and remarkable value for its price. --- ### 🧠 Brand and Basics MOVA is one of the fastest-growing robot vacuum brands, and the V50 Pro Ultra is their new flagship. It ships in white and includes a robust accessory kit with tons of consumables. Despite having premium features, it’s priced *well below* competitors. --- ### ✅ Pros: Why It Blew Us Away #### 🧹 **Vacuuming Performance** - **New TroboWave DuoBrush System**: Excellent design, with side channeling for hair control. Scored a **perfect** 7” hair test—first robot we’ve tested where the brand even claimed a max hair length (30 cm / 11.8"). - **Airflow & Suction**: Far above average. It nailed our carpet deep clean test with **88%**—top 10 all time. - **Pet Hair Pickup**: 2.5" flattened pet hair test was above average. - **Auto-extending Side Brush**: Great corner cleaning. #### 🧼 **Mopping Performance** - **Dual Spinning Mop Pads**: With one that extends for edge coverage. - **Tilt + Downward Pressure**: Pads tilt 5° to better clean uneven surfaces, something I haven't seen before (though I didn't test it). - **Auto Mop Lift (10.5mm)**: Avoids carpet soak and saves time. - **Magnetic Mop Pads**: Leave them docked for carpet runs, reattach for mopping. - **Dried-on Stain Test**: Scored **109** (avg = 93), using half the water of typical robots—less streaking! - **Overall Mop Score**: **230** (avg = 188). #### 🧃 **Dock Features** - **Auto Emptying**: 3.2L bag, marketed as "100 days of debris" which is more than normal. - **Hot Water Mop Washing**: Also used *during* mopping—very rare, but probably not very effective since there is no on board heater. - **20 Spray Nozzles**: New water distribution system for washing—still evaluating vs. traditional spinning brush types. - **Omni Dry System**: Dries mop pads, bag area, **and internal components like the dust bag** which prevents mold and odors, also something I haven't seen before. - **Dual-Solution Tank**: Comes with two cleaner types (including one for pet odors); select via app. #### 🧭 **Navigation** - **Top-Mounted Retractable LiDAR**: Retracts under low furniture to **89.5mm (3.5")**—shorter than average. - **Navigation Efficiency**: Slightly better than average in our coverage test, such a relief after the Ecovacs X9 sub par navigation. - **Threshold Crossing**: A standout—clears all 3 of our test thresholds: - 60mm (2.3") for stepped thresholds - 38mm (1.5") direct vertical rise—**first robot ever to do that**. - **Mapping & App**: Excellent experience, on par with Roborock or Ecovacs: - Multi-floor mapping - Virtual no-go zones - Auto carpet boost - Mop zone targeting - Built-in virtual assistant - Pet monitoring - Dirty zone recognition --- ### ⚠️ Cons: Some Things to Consider #### 🚫 Obstacle Avoidance - Uses RGB camera + LED + 3D structured light. - Avoided only **14 of 24** objects in our test (avg = 16). - Better than nothing, but not elite-level avoidance. #### 🔋 Battery Life - Rated 220 mins (low power), but scored **below average** in our battery efficiency test. - **Estimate: 1033 sq. ft. per charge**, mostly due to efficient nav. - May need to recharge mid-job on large floorplans—but it supports *Recharge and Resume*. #### 🗑️ Dust Bin Size - Internal bin is **300ml**, slightly below average. #### 🧠 Software Glitches (Now Addressed) - Early issues like LiDAR turret not retracting were reported, but MOVA pushed an app update allowing users to adjust LiDAR retraction sensitivity, which **seems** to resolve the problem. --- ### 🏁 Final Verdict The **MOVA V50 Pro Ultra Complete** isn’t just a new contender—it’s *the new champ* in our eyes. It combines flagship performance and thoughtful features with a mid-range price, making it one of the best value packages we’ve tested. It confidently knocked the Ecovacs X9 Omni out of our top spot—and while we liked the X9 for its innovation, it required more out-of-box tweaking than the MOVA does. If the V50 holds up over time, it could dominate our rankings for a while. 👋 Thanks for reading, and happy vacuuming!
r/RobotVacuums • The MOVA V50 Pro Ultra — Vacuum Wars' New #1 Robot Vacuum ->The main things that make the list volatile these days is the rapid pace of new products being reviewed and the changes that occur because of bad reviews. The mova v50 for example had a pretty serious quality control issue that started to show up in Amazon reviews and it has hurt its rankings in recent weeks.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame takes all three of the top spots on the Vacuum Wars Top 20 list ->They're Chinese, so you wait 12 hours to get a broken English response. My most recent service took almost 5 days of back and forth until they issued a return label for warranty work. I didn't find it too bad I did tell Mova that the v50 drains battery. That the first room it cleaned with zero carpet it would drain 20%, and the next room with mainly carpet it only drained 4%.. they responded three times "robot will drain more battery over carpet". I'd correct them but they never understood. I just ended up returning the v50 for that and a couple other reasons.
r/RobotVacuums • What is the best robot vacuum for cat hair? ->Yeah, return it if you're within the return window. The v50 is so smart that it's dumb. This and other factors is why I returned mine.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 carpet improvement ->I think at the end you're talking about the v50 right? I had mine for 28 days before I called quits and returned it, all the quirks just started adding up. Maybe they will release a firmware update that will fix all the issues and I will regret returning mine. I just couldn't justify the performance increase vs the quirks and $1k+ price tag.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 carpet improvement ->Unfortunately I have no idea buddy, except going back to my original point.. they tried to make this thing so smart that it's actually stupid. Maybe try running it without CleanGenius? I'm just guessing here. Actually, I bet if you contact Mova, the response from support will also sound like they're guessing.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 carpet improvement ->New Mova/Dreame's suck (not in a good way). I bought the Mova v50 (and returned it) and my old L10 navigates 10x better than it. The L10 is still running strong, I gave it to a buddy, I just upgraded to the L40. Seems like they pack so much tech into these new robots that it makes them stupid. I'd stay away from anything past the L40 (non-s models), as they all have issues. My L40 has issues too but they're very minimal.
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame Acqua 10, expensive product or alpha test? There are big problems here. ->You guys sound like paid advertisements. The V50 is not bad, vacuums and mops well, object avoidance also works well most of the time. But navigation, cleaning time and battery life are below average. Hopefully they'll fix that in future firmware updates.
r/RobotVacuums • Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review ->I am going to deviate from your list almost immediately. If you want low noise, you should aim for something like the Mova V50 or Roborock Saros 10R. Personally, I would choose the Mova V50 because it vacuums much, much better, especially on rugs and carpets. Unless your floors are really dirty or you spill stuff often and expect a robovac to clean it up, all mopping systems clean very well for routine cleaning. A robovac with spinning mops is extremely quiet - much quieter than anything with roller mops. Roller mops do clean better. But, most people vacuum and mop frequently. Under these circumstances, there are no practical differences in the results between roller mops and spinning mops. Both the Saros 10R and Mova V50 mop very well. Your floors will be spotless. Roller mops are brand new. The kinks have not been worked out of this system yet and they still require much more maintenance than the fairly perfected spinning mop systems that are super quick and easy to maintain. Good mopping with any robovac is entirely dependant on good vacuuming first. If your floors are not already mostly clean from vacuuming, it is pointless to mop with any robovac. This is why I think the Mova V50 meets your needs much better than you might think based on your criteria. I hope this helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Which roller mop for 1st robot vacuum? ->There is no best robovac. Every single one of them involves compromises. A fancy, expensive model will not clean your house better than a midrange model. I suggest you look for something near the top of the midrange that has spinning rear mops, an extending side brush and an extending rear mop. None of these models will be perfect no matter how much you spend. You are looking for what all of us want and it does not exist. All robovacs struggle with things in your home. Homes have to be adapted for the use of a robovac, not the other way around. We all have to go through this. Cords have to be cleaned up. Rugs have to be taped down or exchanged for robovac friendly ones. Floppy, machine washable bathroom rugs and other similar rugs will be a problem. Chairs with legs that have sections that are parallel to the ground will probably be a problem. If we don't deal with these issues, we will have to create no-go zones that we will have to clean ourselves and this negates the purpose of a robovac. Any robovac can only do 90-95% of the floor cleaning job. The rest we have to do ourselves. All of this might sound like a bunch of negatives, and maybe it is. But, once we work through the issues, having and using a robovac is awesome! Our home has never been this clean! We use three robovacs - two for vacuuming and one for mopping. We have two cheap, $350, charging dock only models that each vacuum half of our house. They simply vacuum better than any currently available $1000+ model, and I have tried many in an attempt to recreate the vacuuming ability of my cheap models. Nothing else comes close. I have very high standards. We use a $1500 fancy, new model for all of our mopping. It does a great job mopping, but it is a terrible vacuum cleaner on rugs and carpets. No amount of automation and fancy features can cure this. The only thing I use it for to vacuum is under a pair of dressers our other models do not fit under and our garage floor. I waited too long to return this robovac. A midrange model for $500-600 would have served us just as well. Compromise! Everyone has to do it and find creative solutions. This is the sad truth of the current state of the industry. But I do not ever want to have to go back to the old way of cleaning our house. Our robovacs are wonderful! I will add one recommendation that I recently tried and returned. I got a Mova V50. It is a fantastic machine in every way. It almost vacuums as well as our two cheap models. Out of the eight different $1000+ robovacs that I tried over the last six months, it was clearly the best of the lot. If I could not have my two cheap models, I would get two Mova V50s to clean our house. As it is, my two cheap models still do a noticably better job, so I will stick with them until they die. I have always been a Roborock guy, so recommending a Mova V50 is unusual for me. One last thought when it comes to robovacs: finding a good mopping machine is easy. Finding one the vacuums rugs and carpets really well is very difficult! I hope this helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot Vacuum to buy ->I currently use my S8s only to vacuum. But they do mop well also. If you get multiple pads, this is not a bad way to go, because you can just remove the dirty pads and wash them with any load of laundry and put on a clean one and you are ready to go again. For mopping, they do not offer any automated functions. But they are easy to use manually anyway. I used mine to mop for about six months. They really did a great job. But I prefer an automated dock for mopping. I would not recommend a fancy S8 for mopping. The mechanism required by the dock to clean the mops is too complicated and requires too much maintenance. You cannot beat an S8 for vacuuming only! I am unfamiliar with the Mova P10 and cannot say anything about this model. The Mova V50 is the second best vacuum cleaner I have tried behind a $350 Roborock S8 with only a charging dock. An S8 for vacuuming only with any mid range model with spinning mops, extending side brush and extending rear mop with an automated dock for all the mopping would provide the cleanest home out of any solution I have found. I have tried eight different fancy models in an effort to find a more automated solution that vacuums as well as an S8. I do not believe one exists. I use a pair of S8 for all of my vacuuming, and another model with the features I described above for all of my mopping. An S8 for vacuuming and a midrange model for all the mopping can beat any currently available single model made by any manufacturerl. A basic S8 with a good midrange model should cost around $850 together. The Mova V50 came the closest to replicating this in a single model. I hope this helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot Vacuum to buy ->I use a pair of $350, charging dock only Roborock S8s to do all of my vacuuming. They are fantastic when set to Max on rugs and carpets. They were last year's flagships, so they also navigate well and have good obstacle avoidance. They are also surprisingly good an smaller thresholds up to about one inch tall. I use a Roborock Saros 10R for all of our mopping. When I got it, I was hoping it could replace one of our S8s. Unfortunately, it has the combo of unrealistic pascal suction numbers and auto detangling rollers. If does not vacuum rugs and carpets nearly as well as the cheap S8s. The difference is obvious! That's why it only mops. In my opinion, the ultimate combination for the cleanest home at the lowest price is a Roborock S8+ with auto emptying dock (same robovac, fancier dock) and any mid range model with extending side brushes and spinning, extending rear mops. One ought to be able to get this combo for $800-900 total. It will out clean any single $1500 model sold right now. One can still get S8+ models brand new. The S8 base model like mine is only available as used or refurbished. These will all be gone very soon - in the next couple of weeks. The second best solution I have found so far is a Mova V50 Ultra Complete. Please keep in mind that this is only one fool's opinion. Opinions vary significantly. I have very high cleaniness standards! Most people are quite content with their auto detangling robovac results. I hope this helps!

r/RobotVacuums • Best robot Vacuum to buy ->I am not familiar with all brands. The thing to do with the model you choose is to look on AliExpress to see if parts are easily available. If you choose a brand new model, sometimes it takes a few months before parts become easily available, in which case, you have to look for parts for robovacs that have already been on the market for a few months from the same manufacturer. I also do not know in which country you live. Often, it is best to choose a model that is available where you live. This gives you the best chance to get service in your country. Otherwise, my current favorite choice is the Mova V50. It vacuums well, mops very well and is fully automated with everything one needs and nothing one does not. Excellent vacuuming ability on rugs and carpets is always what I look for. This is actually hard to find. People demand convenience over cleaning ability. Everyone wants auto detangling rollers. But these do not vacuum nearly as well as the solid rubber rollers of the two previous generations of robovacs. Anything can vacuum hard floors fairly well. But I also want my rugs and carpets vacuumed well. I also want a modern dock and good mopping ability. These features generally mean poor vacuuming because they come with models that use auto detangling rollers. I am not interested in convenience at the expense of good vacuuming ability. After an extensive search and trying seven different, fancy, modern robovacs, I arrived at the Mova V50. It uses an interesting roller system that is different from other auto detangling rollers. The V50 uses rollers that are similar to the older style rollers that work much better, but it still allows hair to spin off of the ends so it does not tangle. Because of this, It vacuums almost as well as the previous two generations of robovacs and it adds the auto detangling capability in a unique way the seems to work very well for me. I am impressed with our new Mova V50. It vacuums well enough that I intend to keep it, I have been unable to find anything that vacuums better, it mops fantastically and it is fully automated. This is all I can tell you. Please keep in mind that no robovac is anywhere near perfect! Painful compromises always have to be made. One has to choose what is most important and what is less important. Vacuuming ability with good navigation and decent obstacle avoidance is always key to me. Mopping ability is also important, but it is heavily dependant on good vacuuming first. If the floors have not been vacuumed thoroughly first, mopping is pointless with any robovac. I hope this helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for an appropriate robot vacuum cleaner for my case ->As a Roborock Saros 10R owner, I can say that ours is truly amazing in every respect but one - vacuuming rugs and carpets. Our 10R is actually our second one since the dock failed and it was replaced under warranty. Both behaved identically. They vacuum rugs and carpets so poorly compared to our $350, charging dock only Roborock S8s, that I only use the 10R for mopping. Everything else about it is fantastic except for its primary function. I just bought a Mova V50 to replace our 10R. So far I am very pleased with the improvements! It even mops better. Our 10R will be retired soon and it is only months old. For me, it was a very expensive mistake! The Mova V50 is what I was hoping the 10R would be. I find this sad as I have always been a Roborock fan. Using any robovac on thick carpeting or rugs can be a challenge. It will probably work, but it might also choke the robovac. Unfortunately, you will not know until you try it. Wool carpets have to be robovaced with caution. A robovac is a machine that will move in exactly the same pattern every single time. You cannot significantly alter this pattern. It can cause damage due to repition. Some wool carpets also need to be vacuuming in a specific direction. The robovac will go back and forth in two different directions no matter what. Make sure your wool rugs can handle this. You will have to test this cautiously. I hope this helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Is Roborock Saros 10R still the best choice in its category? Please see my use case inside. ->Yes and no. I have only had it for a few days. So far, I think it vacuums significantly better than the 10R. The mopping is actually better than the 10R too, and I thought the 10R was very good. This could be due to the floor cleaning solution. Our freshly mopped floors always looked very good after the 10R got done, but they really shine after the V50 is done! I think the V50 also has better water handling than the 10R and this is very important for mopping. The two really behave very similarly. People with OCD will prefer the 10R because it makes really straight lines when it goes back and forth. The V50 does too, but they aren't quite as pretty as the ones from the 10R. But this really isn't important as long as the job gets done. The V50 does vacuum rugs and carpets much better than the 10R. But, it still does not vacuum them as well as our $350 S8s. An S8 is more or less impossible to beat with any robovac that has auto detangling rollers. But, an S8 does require two minutes of easy maintenance once per week because it does not have these new rollers. The S8 appears to be the last robovac left that can vacuum very, very well. They entire industry switched from providing vacuuming performance to providing low maintenance, fully automated convenience at the cost of good vacuuming performance. This is what people want. One last thought on the S8 before I get back on topic. They cannot be beat by anything newer in terms of vacuuming ability, but I would not want to use one for mopping anymore. The mechanism in the dock required to clean the mops is too complicated and requires too much maintenance. That is part of the reason I got the cheap ones with only a charging dock. An S8 and a fancier, newer robovac with spinning disc mops makes a formidable cleaning combination when one vacuums with the S8 and mops with the new one. This is what I do. So, as a new robovac, I really can't fault the V50. I think it is better than the 10R in over all cleaning ability. But, it still does not quite live up to my standards. I can tolerate its vacuuming ability. I really does well. But, I am not thrilled with it. Unfortunately, there are no better robovac alternatives with all of the modern features we all want, so I think it is my best option. The V50 has one glaring deficiency that has really made me hesitate with keeping it. It has no ability to create routines. All Roborocks allow you to create routines that can be triggered by a single button press. This allows you to set up customized cleaning for a single room or a set of rooms. I only use routines on my Roborocks. I have routines for everything. From there, I can create a schedule that runs the routine at a specific time any day of the week. The V50 does have schedules that function like routines. But, one cannot trigger them with the press of a single button. They can only be triggered at the specified time of the day. This is a significant issue for me. I think the Roborock Sarod 10R is perfect for anyone with mostly or entirely hard floors. It performs very well under these circumstances. If you have significant rugs and carpets, the Mova V50 is probably a better choice mostly because there are no better alternatives that I have found yet. The only reason I bought our new Mova V50 is because one of our Roborock S8s failed. While I am satisfied with the V50's vacuuming ability and love it's mopping ability, the lack of a routines function is really making me second guess my purchase today. This is as honest of an assessment as I can currently give you. I hope it is helpful! The robovac industry really needs to fucus on basic cleaning ability, especially vacuuming ability, instead of ever more fancy gimics!!!
r/RobotVacuums • Is Roborock Saros 10R still the best choice in its category? Please see my use case inside. ->I wanted to amend my previous comment. The Mova V50 does have routines, but they are called shortcuts instead. They are located on the welcome screen. They work well. This removes a significant shortcoming in my previous assessment. Please keep in mind that I have only had my V50 for four days. My opinion is a work in progress. In general, I am very pleased with how it performs and it's cleaning ability is very good for a model with auto detangling rollers. This is in large part because it actually uses more traditional rollers with a cutter that chops up hair as it spins around the rollers rather than a split single auto detangling roller. With two cats and several people with long hair in our household, I can report that the V50 hair cutting system and rollers seem to work very well. I have not had any hair tangling issues at all yet, and the rollers work much better than the more common split single auto detangling rollers do.
r/RobotVacuums • Is Roborock Saros 10R still the best choice in its category? Please see my use case inside. ->It does a fantastic, yet still slightly imperfect job mopping. It mops much better than our Saros 10R even though, in principle, they should mop about the same since they use the same mopping system. I believe this is due to the Mova floor cleaning solution but I do not know this as a fact. Otherwise, my same criticism of the latest generation of robovacs remains. None of the latest generation of robovacs vacuum rugs and carpets as well as the previous two generations. My two $350 Roborock S8s vacuum much better, but I would not want to use them for mopping. I think the best and most ideal solution for auromated clean floors is either a $350, charging dock only S8, or an S8+ with auto emptying dock for less than $50 more when on sale, and almost any other mid range robovac for mopping that has both extending side brushes and an extending rear mop. This combination will produce the cleanest floors one can get with any automated solution. I think this combo should be attainable for around $800-850. There is a very minor drawback to this solution. Once per week, one has to remove the rollers from the S8, pull off their ends and remove the wound up hair that collects around them. This is a super easy, quick two minute job. The much better vacuuming ability is worth this tiny effort in my opinion!!! If you have significant rugs and/or carpets, this is the best option currently available. Otherwise, if you don't like my slightly complicated solution, and you are willing to spend an additional $300, I think the Mova V50 is the second best option currently available. Like I said, it mops fantastically well. It comes the closest to anything else I have tried to vacuuming rugs and carpets like an S8. The S8 does a noticably better job, but the V50 does well too. If you want a single, automated solution that does very well, I think the Mova V50 is the one to beat at this time. Please keep in mind that I have high standards. I think most people will be very pleased with either a Saros 10R or a Mova V50. Out of the two, I would personally choose the V50 because it is cheaper and better. But the two are extremely similar. The V50 does vacuum rugs and carpets much better than the 10R. The Mova V50 app and firmware are not as perfected and smooth as the Roborock app and firmware for the 10R. The Mova software has some problems. This biggest of these problems is ghost rooms. These are areas between rooms that do not exist in the physical world, but the robovac thinks they exist and tries to clean them. So far, this has not caused any significant issues for me, and I am confident that future firmware and app updates will solve this problem. The Mova app is not bad at all. The Roborock app is just a bit better and has had the kinks worked out of it already. I am not going to let this hold me back from using the V50. As for me personally, I am going to stick with my two $350 S8s for all of my major vacuuming needs. The V50 is going to do all of the mopping and handle quick cleanup situations like vacuuming our kitchen and dining area after I get dinner cleaned up. The Saros 10R is going to live in our garage and keep my garage floors clean. It will also serve as a backup robovac when one of the others has a problem. My original plan of using a pair of Mova V50s for all of my floor cleaning is not going to pan out. But I still really like the V50 as the current second best vacuum cleaner. I will put it to good use! Lastly, the S8s perform so well as the last models made by any manufacturer right now that can really vacuum well that I am considering buying a spare, because I doubt they will be manufactured for much longer. Consumers have clearly selected convenience over cleaning ability. I find it amazing that manufacturers are willinging to allow a $350 robovac to so thoroughly beat their $1000-1500 robovacs so easily when it comes to vacuuming rugs and carpets! This is everything I can tell you. I hope it is helpful!
r/RobotVacuums • Is Roborock Saros 10R still the best choice in its category? Please see my use case inside. ->That depends entirely on what you want. I have four robovacs. I have two base model, charging dock only, $350 Roborock S8s. I have a $1500 Roborock Saros 10R, and I have an $1100 Mova V50. Out of the four, the $350 S8s have the best vacuuming ability by far, especially on rugs and carpets and in dirty conditions with lots of pet and people hair. I cannot stress this enough! The S8s are my go-to when the job has to be done right. I have never found anything yet that can beat them when it comes to vacuuming. In an effort to find a more automated replacement, I have tried six other $1000+ models in addition to the Mova V50 and Saros 10R I currently have. The $350 S8s vacuum much, much better. There are no two ways around this fact. The main reasons for this are no auto detangling rollers and no outrageous, unrealistic pascal suction numbers. Vacuum pressure, measure in pascals, is important. But, the only way a tiny fan and tiny motor can make 20,000Pa of vacuum pressure is to restrict the airflow. Airflow is what carries debris into the dustbin, not vacuum pressure. The bottom line is that solid rubber rollers and 6000Pa beat auto detangling rollers and 20,000+ Pa every single time when it comes to vacuuming ability. S8s also mop well, but I much prefer the Saros 10R and especially the Mova V50 for mopping. It does a better job mopping than the Saros 10R. Otherwise, the 10R and the V50 are almost identical except that the 10R is a terrible vacuum cleaner. The V50 is the second best vacuum cleaner I have tried so far, but the S8s still outshine it significantly. The are two reasons that S8s are not selling like crazy anymore. The first only applies to the fancy ones with automated docks, not the basic ones like I use. The mechanism required in the dock to clean the mops is too complicated and requires too much maintenance. The second reason is that solid rubber rollers require two entire minutes of easy maintenance once per week. One has to remove the rollers, pull off their ends and pull off the hair that gets wrapped around them. This is super quick and easy. People spend $1000+ to avoid this two minute task once per week. The S8s were last year's flagship models. Even the basic ones navigate well and have good obstacle avoidance. These inexpensive machines are no slouches at all! In my opinion, the best automated floor cleaning solution is a $350 S8 and a second robovac that mops well using spinning mops and an automated dock. A $500 model should easily do the trick. So, for $850, one ends up with two robovacs that clean much better together than any single $1000+ model currently available from any manufacturer. I am not sure I am keeping the Mova V50 yet. My Saros 10R does all my mopping. The two S8s each vacuum half of my house. If the Saros 10R or Mova V50 failed, it would not be a big deal. If one of my S8s failed, it would be tragic! So, yes, there are excellent options available under $1000. I am reasonably sure that my opinion is not popular. But, I repair robovacs as a small side job, so I get to try lots of them. Most of these are high end models who's warranties have expired and are, therefore, more than a year old. Anything newer, like the Saros 10R, Mova V50 and the six others, I have to buy like anyone else. I hope this helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Are sub 1k mop bots worth the buy? ->Is recommend to wait a few days as some new models from narwal and dreame are coming out, keep an eye on the narwal flow as it should be promising. But if you don’t care to wait the Mova v50 is really good aswell as the roborock saros 10r
r/RobotVacuums • Best high end vacuum & mop in UK ->For what its worth I just bought a Mova V50 after waffling for far too long. I've had 3 full runs so far and I really like it. Really quiet too. Im used to my old jet engine of a Roomba though.
r/RobotVacuums • Can't decide on Mova or Dreame! ->It’s pretty good. I have kids and two dogs. I’ve gotten into the habit of walking around and picking stuff up cause my little dog likes to chew my kids toys though. It picks up all my cables really well which is nice.
