Reliable, great mopping (lifts pads), but poor cable avoidance.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
When I imported the Z50 from Italy I just used a plug adaptor and it works perfectly! JustADad was fairly impressed with its avoidance in its test against the original Curv 🤷🏻♂️
I got the Z50 from Italy for €730 a few months ago! Sure it’s less now! Why would the V cost more?
Having sent the Z50 back for nav issues I’m not in a hurry to try them again! I think the Flow is top of my list, but it’s getting it here before I got away is becoming an issue - but don’t want to miss sale price again!
If you’re not against importing from Amazon, check models on hagglezon.com - it’s the Amazon EU comparison site. You might get a higher model for cheaper than we get in the UK! I had the Mova Z50 from Italy!
It was the best we’d had…until we got a new rug and the bot just couldn’t navigate on it 😂
Only had my Mova Z50 about a month, but having replaced a spinny mop Dreame L40 which we used daily for 6mths…I can safely say the roller/trackpad bots are levels above in leaving a floor not only looking but feeling clean under foot!
I loved the Z50 until it stopped navigating!!
I can confidently say on LVT that roller/track mops work MUCH better than the older spinning mops! I’ve been through an L40, Eufy E25, Mova Z50 and now the Aqua10 track. I can echo the battery situ on the Dreame Aqua10 - 20-30mins of cleaning and it goes down to 49% battery.
If the Aqua10 comes on Blk Friday deal I’d say it’s worth a punt! Its nav is superior to even the Mova Z50 I had. It’s just overall smarter - I’ve not had to set where carpet/rugs are, it just sees them and deals with it 🤪 Curv models seem highly rated, I’d look at those too!
Yeah i had a Mova z50 ultra and it broke twice so now i got nothing after the refund
I’m interested in reliability since this is the biggest issue of z50
Yes, but not only: water leakage in the base; water drop while cleaning; mop roller durability..
Mova z50 very good for mopping hard floors but you never know if you are going to be lucky and you get a functioning unit
It could be as you say considering my experience with p50 and z50 but I wonder why they are the only ones with 3 years warranty
I think the Z50 is better in Every way especially the mop. BUT alot of users have had problems with docking. It should be solved now but you could get one of the old units. You can solve it by placing some velcro on the base wheels/ramp...
Small mop has never given us trouble in our house. But we live in 4 year old house no large crossings etc..
Yes it gets cleaned and dried. It is a well tested peace of hardware some roborocks have it.
But it is a damn good robot just a shame of these faults. I have now dreame aqua 10. VS Z50 1. Dreame is quiet and can jump thresholds but we do not need it in our house. The z50 is faster at cleaning and navigating, always empties the dustbin, uses less water, think the track cleans better then roller and has better battery life. All in all disappointed with the Aqua 10. Had the x9 for 2 hours before main brush stopped working. Fast at navigating and cleaning, cleans well great battery life but sidebrush sucks. Thinking of just getting x40 or x50 master hooking it to water and drainage and just call it a day and revisit the market again in tear or 2.
I have it also think it comes closer to the edges actually than the z60.
From my own exp, I would choose the Mova Z50 ultra again. Cleaning, especially mopping is absolutely insane. And the price is somehow reasonable compared to x50 ultra etc. Smart functions, auto empty, auto mop wash, detergent, side reach, it has it all!
This, but for mopping, personally i would buy the Mova Z50 Ultra again. Crazy good and not that expensive. At least in Europe.
Z50 is going to be a much better mopping robot than the ecovacs and eufy robots with a roller mop but recent widespread complaints about it having issues docking scare me…. As for the p10 pro ultra and p50 pro ultra, the main difference is the self cleaning mop washboard (p50 has less nooks and crannies to clean) and the p50 pro ultra can leave the mops behind in the base station.
If it’s all hard floors, I’d keep the Z50 ultra for its much better mopping. The main selling point of the P50 is that it’s an x40 ultra with the JetSpray dryboard.
The only drawbacks of the z50 is mainly the docking issue but I hope it doesn’t happen.
Every robot has its own advantages and disadvantages; there's no absolutely perfect robot. I wouldn't recommend ecovacs' roller mop for cleaning into tile grout. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIcUNWO9Y0Q](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIcUNWO9Y0Q) (it simply doesn't exert enough downwards pressure) The MOVA Z50 Ultra will be better suited for tile grouts since it has warm water mopping, the mop fluffing gear can help refluff the mop (I touched the similar Aqua 10 Pro Track's mop and it is very very plush) so it could reach into grout better, and the 18N of pressure means it'll be better for mopping. As for the MOVA V50 Ultra, I don't think so. Although the Flexipress mop is suitable for uneven flooring, it doesn't effectively clean grout because the lines are too small for the mop pad holder to tilt meaningfully. It doesn't mop with warm water, it only fills the onboard clean water tank with warm water to mainly activate the detergent's enzyme (if you put it in the clean water tank). Hence, I'd recommend the MOVA Z50 Ultra
I haven’t seen this issue to be widespread on the MOVA z50 ultra (I check Chinese social media and many other social media platforms). Testing the Z60 Ultra Roller now and will let you know if this issue happens with my unit.
> So my question - which robot (if any) can help with already wet floors? The MOVA Z50 ultra (1999) and the MOVA z60 ultra (2999) roller has a water stain mopping mode you can use where the mop won’t add any extra water and will try its best to absorb as much as possible. I use it after my dog drinks his water. I’d wait for a sale. Do note there is a docking issue with the z50 ultra due to some design flaw.
The L40S pro ultra is better suited as it has a larger dustbin at 395ml, the Z50’s dustbin is at 300ml and quieter antitangle duorollers :) The Z50 is a great mopper but issues like docking make me hesitant to recommend it.
The MOVA z50 ultra advertised 36°C and the Dreame Aqua 10 pro/ultra track advertises 45°C with onboard water heaters. The Narwal flow advertises filling the onboard water tank with 45°C water.
The MOVA z50 is a better mopper but also it was at 2000 AUD during EOFY sales so I’d wait for sales on this model. There’s also a widespread docking issue that some say can be fixed by adding adhesive tape to the base.
It is mainly a result of confirmation bias, and most online posts are subject to the self-selecting bias. Many well-made robot vacuums can go much longer, and so even well-made combo vacuum and mop robots are still lasting well. Brands I'd go for: Dreame can have well built robots (I'd avoid the aqua 10 roller for now as there seems to be a design flaw) customer service depends heavily on region and there's mixed feedback regarding this; Eufy has generally solid customer service all around; MOVA seems to have pretty solid build quality, other than the p50 for the NA market (broken front wheel) and the z50 (docking issue due to a design flaw>), solid customer service seems to be better than dreame's even though they're serviced by the same group as dreame owns MOVA; Narwal which hasbuild quality seems to be pretty good with some reporting it still worked flawlessly even though it fell off a flight of stairs because their cliff sensors are a bit weird, customer service reviews are mixed; Roborock which has build quality seems to be solid overall but obstacle avoidance is their only flaw, mixed reviews of customer service from very negative to very positive); and Xiaomi which has generally solid build quality and customer service for its price (I bought from them before and when something got stuck in the wheel where I couldn't reach it, they fixed it and shipped it back in a week).
