"significantly worse object avoidance than than the Dreame x40 and L40 ... The best feature of the L40/X40/p10 pro ultra is that they have class leading object avoidance so you don't have to pick up your cat's toys or prep your house every time you want to run the robot meaning you can run it on a daily schedule which will keep your house cleaner. ... I run my X40s daily and they never get stuck on cables, cat toys and other random junk that ends up on the floor."
"The X40 is so far ahead in the object avoidance realm that it's not even a contest. ... I have my Dreame X40 running at midnight every day and never have to worry about it getting stuck on something or caught on something because it's object avoidance works so well, even in the dark and on all surfaces. ... It stays clear of cat toys, cords, socks, paper towels and all sorts of random household junk. ... the fact that I can run the Dreame daily will keep my house cleaner."
"The obstacle avoidance is also very good and I only have the pet in house setting on for pet messes and it recognizes my fake dog poop all the time and drive around it."

"I run it once a day, and mop a couple times a week. ... In fact, my wet/dry floor vacuum just died so its pulling even more work right now as it's the only real mop I now have, other than a Swiffer."
"My GOD am I glad I did. I had no idea how much I had been missing! ... We have 2 dogs and a cat, and live more rural. That means dirty paws folks, and a lot of them. The mopping and vacuuming has been no short of amazeballs. Not amazing. Amazeballs."
"The current champ of perfectly sparkling clean floors. ... Have 5 dogs tracking in dirt all day? Run this mop and go eat off the floor. That's how clean it is. ... Step aside spinny & vibration mops, this constantly clean roller mop is the champ. ... The mopping ability is light-years ahead of the Curv. ... The continously cleaning of fresh water is where is truly unique. ... You will be delighted and shocked on how amazing this E28 is. Its truly incomparable to any roborock. Get ready to start eating off your floors 😁😉"

"I have also had 0 hair wrap. Both my old Roomba and Shark id have to clean the rollers weekly."
"The Anti-Tangle brush is actually Anti-Tangle. All my previous vacuums would get hair tangled in a single run - I'd clean them at least once a week (neato way more) to get all the hair out. After 24 hours, I see 0 hair stuck. Not one. ... That being said I LOVE the anti-tangle brush. 3 Months and I haven't had to clean the brush one time. It's literally perfect for me."
"I haven’t had any issues with tangles on the rollers ... Honestly, I think it’s doing really well considering I have long hair and shed a lot. ... The split roller on the E28 really works."

"It’s is SO MUCH more quiet than the s7 it ramped up the suction power from 4000 to 19000 yet I can let it clean my office room while being in a call now."
"Extremely quiet compared to our last one to the point where we can have it running while my partner is in work meetings (besides emptying water and dust bin, but that is 10 seconds of loud x 2)."
"pads that lift on carpet so you can run it while the baby naps"

"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"
"After walking them in rainy or muddy weather, having a robo mop take care of the mess is a real help. ... Without the robot we would need to spend a ton more time mopping. ... the convenienve of not needing to mop the house after you worked for a full day is worth it to us. ... So, 30 minutes for 7 days a week comes down to 3.5 hours of mopping saved. ... if it is rainy/muddy outside, they carry a lot of dirt into the house. ... the mopping robot makes a lot of sense and is a real help."
"I have ours set up through Home Assistant with our Litter Robot. 30 minutes after the Litter Robot signals that it has been used, our robovac automatically vacuums our laundry room where the Litter Robot is kept. It works great!"

"Be able to go over bath mats/water absorbent mats well. When my robot goes over it, it constantly lifts the edge up and makes it look like it’s trying to hump the bottom side of the carpet. This doesn’t happen if I meticulously use the remote control function."
"the robot has no obstacle avoidance ... In terms of obstacles, that‘s pretty much the main reason why I added the 10R to my other floor where my cat and his toys are, it has great obstacle avoidance."
"The Saros also managed to get itself stuck under one of our sofas and got scratched in the process (the back of the sofa has a higher opening, it tried to exit through the sides which are lower than 8 cm)."

"Its a mostly fine robot but not a fan of their mapping software. ... The basic and simple and frustrating issues with the Narwal software have been there now for well over a year. ... Issues like mapping open concept spaces and having easy to use and manipulate split and merge lines have been solved years ago by other companies like Roborock and by Dreame. ... There is no excuse that Narwal - who has most definately been made aware of these issues long ago - has either chosen to ignore fixing 'merge/split' options (and more) or the current team is incapable of doing so. ... As a homeowner with a large open concept layout their mapping software is crap and pretty much renders using their robot useless unless I want to compromise how I use a Narwal. ... Something that is not an issue with Roborock or Dreame or Mova (and probably others also). ... So if a home has basically traditiona wall spaces.Sure. Narwal is great. If the layout is open concept. Then....Narwal no."
"splitting rooms or modifications to the map also has some quirks that annoy me so much."

"Wouldn’t go under kitchen cabinets ... dining chairs ... or the back of sofa."
"Would not vac or mop under my kitchen cabinets, nor under dining chairs"
"Toe kick cleaning is in my experience non-existent. Maybe mine are too low, I'll have to clean those 2 inches by hand."

"Also I didn’t like how much data the Narwal sent to servers. ... In the 2 weeks I had it, my firewall logs showed the Narwal sent over 20 GB of data. ... I had the remote video disabled so assume it was for vision AI analysis. ... Still, it shouldn’t need to send that much data."

"My firewall said the robot sent 2.5 GB to Narwal after a cleaning on Sunday. ... That bothers me, but I don't know that any of the Chinese manufacturers are strong for privacy."

"it will not return to the base station to empty it's dustbin when it's full. ... It just keeps going and ends up clogged and dragging dirt around the floor."
"Every year I disassemble it to clean the vacuum filters and vacuum fan intake. It's a terrible design"
"Sadly there ’s no autoempty dock."
I got one from Narval last month for around 20k, happy with the experience as of now
r/Frugal_Ind • Robotic vacuum cleaner recommendations? ->For hard floors and pets, the Narwal Freo X or the Roborock S8 Max Ultra are probably your best options. Both scrub really well and actually get into the edges. I have got pets and kids running around too so I know how important it is to have something that doesn’t turn into a maintenance headache. [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/KeepThisInMind/comments/1o1wp3o/best_robot_vacuum_cleaner_for_wood_floors_that/) helped me a lot , hopefully it helps you too.
r/RobotVacuums • Need help finding the best robot vacuum mop for hard floors with great scrubbing ->The freo x and freo z our water hogs so don't buy one unless you're okay replacing the water and dumping the dirty water after every single mopping run in a small house and mid-run on a big house.
r/RobotVacuums • Best High-End Robot? ->Narwal Is the only robot that even attempts to clean the baseboard but the only thing the frio z or x does is run a muff along it. It doesn't actually clean. It's a duster. And the frio x and z have some other problems. Notably they are water hogs and you have to refill the water all the time. After every single run.
r/RobotVacuums • Are there robot vacuums with a baseboard-cleaning functionality ->I just ordered a narwal. Expensive af, but I had accumulated enough Amazon reward points to pay for it. Anyway it’s supposed to be incredible at avoiding objects, and many of the newer ones are great as well. I have a Roomba that I’m replacing bc it’ll just run over socks and toys, etc.
r/BuyItForLife • Too many robot vacuum models… are they actually good and worth the money? ->Its a mostly fine robot but not a fan of their mapping software. Much better mapping and software options. Don't care how sophisticated a robot is if their software sucks.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum right now? ->The basic and simple and frustrating issues with the Narwal software have been there now for well over a year. Problems that other redditors have posted over that time clearly show that timeline. Issues like mapping open concept spaces and having easy to use and manipulate split and merge lines have been solved years ago by other companies like Roborock and by Dreame. There is no excuse that Narwal - who has most definately been made aware of these issues long ago - has either chosen to ignore fixing 'merge/split' options (and more) or the current team is incapable of doing so. Agree. One day it may be fixed. One dayBut why should I wait when other companies have solved this issue a long time ago? Based on their current history of software development, I'm not holding my breath. If you're satisfied with their substandard software (and excellent robot build) that's fine. As a homeowner with a large open concept layout their mapping software is crap and pretty much renders using their robot useless unless I want to compromise how I use a Narwal. Something that is not an issue with Roborock or Dreame or Mova (and probably others also). So if a home has basically traditiona wall spaces.Sure. Narwal is great. If the layout is open concept. Then....Narwal no.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum right now? ->I‘ve got a Freo X, and I really like it, so I’d recommend Narwal to you. Their new Freo Pro looks like it‘s got an upgraded side brush for better anti-tangling. Narwal does good at handling pet fur and preventing tangles. Hope that helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Need help finding the best robot vacuum for pet hair please ->I am using Narwal Freo x Ultra from last 5 months(With proper maintainance). Sometime available at 35k on CC offer on Amazon, I am Totally satisfied with both Vaccum and Mop. There are also 3rd party accessories available at cheap rates.
r/BuyItForLifeIndia • Which Robot Vacuum+Mop to buy in India under ₹55K for a 2500+ sq ft house ->Sure about that? I have a Narwal. It vacuums and mops. You can choose the floor type both for mopping and vacuuming and pick if you want a damp or wet mop. It’s WELL worth the money in my opinion
r/unpopularopinion • Robot vacuums are expensive and a waste of time. ->I have the Narwal Freo vacuum/mop and I love it.
r/homeowners • Are robot vacuums worth it? I’ve got 4 small kids and I’m always sweeping up the kitchen. Now I have a crawling baby so I’m thinking about getting a robot vacuum, preferably the mop/vacuum kind but they are so expensive! Curious if they are worth it and an investment. ->We are very happy with our Narwal Freo. It mops and vacuums. Got it during Prime Days
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a good robot vacuum with black friday deal ->Tbh I bought the Dreame x50 and I ended up returning it. Poor suction on hard floor, even at max, and very poor mopping. I tested it hard for almost a month. Previously I owned a Narwal Freo x , which I retuned to waiting for the Narwal Flow, and in my opinion it’s much better, better suction and better mopping.
