"significantly worse object avoidance than than the Dreame x40 and L40 ... The best feature of the L40/X40/p10 pro ultra is that they have class leading object avoidance so you don't have to pick up your cat's toys or prep your house every time you want to run the robot meaning you can run it on a daily schedule which will keep your house cleaner. ... I run my X40s daily and they never get stuck on cables, cat toys and other random junk that ends up on the floor."
"The X40 is so far ahead in the object avoidance realm that it's not even a contest. ... I have my Dreame X40 running at midnight every day and never have to worry about it getting stuck on something or caught on something because it's object avoidance works so well, even in the dark and on all surfaces. ... It stays clear of cat toys, cords, socks, paper towels and all sorts of random household junk. ... the fact that I can run the Dreame daily will keep my house cleaner."
"The obstacle avoidance is also very good and I only have the pet in house setting on for pet messes and it recognizes my fake dog poop all the time and drive around it."

"I run it once a day, and mop a couple times a week. ... In fact, my wet/dry floor vacuum just died so its pulling even more work right now as it's the only real mop I now have, other than a Swiffer."
"My GOD am I glad I did. I had no idea how much I had been missing! ... We have 2 dogs and a cat, and live more rural. That means dirty paws folks, and a lot of them. The mopping and vacuuming has been no short of amazeballs. Not amazing. Amazeballs."
"The current champ of perfectly sparkling clean floors. ... Have 5 dogs tracking in dirt all day? Run this mop and go eat off the floor. That's how clean it is. ... Step aside spinny & vibration mops, this constantly clean roller mop is the champ. ... The mopping ability is light-years ahead of the Curv. ... The continously cleaning of fresh water is where is truly unique. ... You will be delighted and shocked on how amazing this E28 is. Its truly incomparable to any roborock. Get ready to start eating off your floors 😁😉"

"I have also had 0 hair wrap. Both my old Roomba and Shark id have to clean the rollers weekly."
"The Anti-Tangle brush is actually Anti-Tangle. All my previous vacuums would get hair tangled in a single run - I'd clean them at least once a week (neato way more) to get all the hair out. After 24 hours, I see 0 hair stuck. Not one. ... That being said I LOVE the anti-tangle brush. 3 Months and I haven't had to clean the brush one time. It's literally perfect for me."
"I haven’t had any issues with tangles on the rollers ... Honestly, I think it’s doing really well considering I have long hair and shed a lot. ... The split roller on the E28 really works."

"It’s is SO MUCH more quiet than the s7 it ramped up the suction power from 4000 to 19000 yet I can let it clean my office room while being in a call now."
"Extremely quiet compared to our last one to the point where we can have it running while my partner is in work meetings (besides emptying water and dust bin, but that is 10 seconds of loud x 2)."
"pads that lift on carpet so you can run it while the baby naps"

"Roborock gave me hours of my life back and that's not an exaggeration."
"The self-emptying feature is a game-changer"
"I use routines for everything. My app allows me to create up to ten routines. It is very rare for me to use any other options because everything I need to do has been set up as a routine. I can completely customize the cleaning of any room or collection of rooms. I can even create a routine to clean the same room more than once if I want to. I can then use these routines in my schedules. ... Here you can customize cleaning by room or multiple rooms. You can select vacuuming, mopping, vacuuming and mopping or vacuum first and then mop. And you can select any intensity you want for any of these things. ... That brings us back the this screen where you can tap on any routine to select it and then press the start button. ... From here, I can start any one of them with a single tap."

"Narwal Freo Z10 is a solid NO if you have pets. ... If has poor object detection and ran over my large dogs' paw."
"Turned off Ai obstacle mode, now it smashes into everything. Like real hard ... this thing is probably not gonna last long, so many fragile parts."
"the navigation is rather poor. ... MOVA is a 9 and Eufy is a 3x. ... Even my old Narwhal was better than the Eufy. ... it's just not technically good. ... The E25/28 hits walls and furniture so often that it's not healthy. ... Every lap he took something with him and if he got around an obstacle or a piece of furniture well, he would run over it in the next lap. ... And because of its actually very beautiful but impractical shape, it also likes to bang its backside against walls or furniture. ... unlike the Eufy, I don't have to worry if I leave it unattended."

"Also I didn’t like how much data the Narwal sent to servers. ... In the 2 weeks I had it, my firewall logs showed the Narwal sent over 20 GB of data. ... I had the remote video disabled so assume it was for vision AI analysis. ... Still, it shouldn’t need to send that much data."

"My firewall said the robot sent 2.5 GB to Narwal after a cleaning on Sunday. ... That bothers me, but I don't know that any of the Chinese manufacturers are strong for privacy."

"poor edge cleaning"
"Toe kick cleaning is in my experience non-existent. Maybe mine are too low, I'll have to clean those 2 inches by hand."
"dustbin clogs of fur where there’s empty spaces on the side due to an inefficient dustbin design"

"One thing I’ll add is that it needs dust emptying much more frequently than other robots because its dust bin is smaller than typical."

"The current Narwal iOS app has a battery drain bug I told Narwal about."
"The iOS app has a pretty bad battery drain bug right now too."
I got one from Narval last month for around 20k, happy with the experience as of now
r/Frugal_Ind • Robotic vacuum cleaner recommendations? ->i have a freo z and it would easily handle this
r/RobotVacuums • Can a robot vacuum get over high thresholds? ->just get the narwal freo z it’s amazing and not that expensive. i dont have a single issue and can’t be happier with mine. oh and buy the automatic water kit if u can’t be bothered putting water every time it cleans. cus all the narwals are water hogs
r/RobotVacuums • Help me pick a robot vacuum before I lose my mind ->The freo x and freo z our water hogs so don't buy one unless you're okay replacing the water and dumping the dirty water after every single mopping run in a small house and mid-run on a big house.
r/RobotVacuums • Best High-End Robot? ->Narwal Is the only robot that even attempts to clean the baseboard but the only thing the frio z or x does is run a muff along it. It doesn't actually clean. It's a duster. And the frio x and z have some other problems. Notably they are water hogs and you have to refill the water all the time. After every single run.
r/RobotVacuums • Are there robot vacuums with a baseboard-cleaning functionality ->Hey. Because you're all hard floor and you named some specific features, I thought I'd talk through this with you. So, Pa is important, sure, but I'm testing robots with absurdly high Pa (over 20k) that miss a lot of debris, and then there's the Switchbot K10+ which has almost no Pa and gets most stuff up. I believe, strongly, that Pa matters less than people think (and marketing people at big brands agree, they keep upping Pa because consumers name it as their main decision making factor). What matters is the design and location of the sweeps in relation to the roller. I say all this because on hard floors, you see ALL the cat hair and litter... so that design is even more important. Navigating around toys: easy. Everyone does it well. Cords? No one does it well. Debris management: 3 months in between changing the bag isn't a big deal. I think you'll be fine. mova v50- low end parts. dreame L50- wasn't bad, but thought the vacuum left a lot to be desired. narwal freo z10, narwal freo z ultra- opposite of no maintenance. you'll be refilling the water every day. eufy e28-has the right sweep/roller design, but was riddled with errors and leaks roborock qrevo curv s5x. dreame x50- good option. r/RobotVacuums • Vacuum/Mop Combo Needed for Hardwood/Tile ->I just ordered a narwal. Expensive af, but I had accumulated enough Amazon reward points to pay for it. Anyway it’s supposed to be incredible at avoiding objects, and many of the newer ones are great as well. I have a Roomba that I’m replacing bc it’ll just run over socks and toys, etc.
r/BuyItForLife • Too many robot vacuum models… are they actually good and worth the money? ->Its a mostly fine robot but not a fan of their mapping software. Much better mapping and software options. Don't care how sophisticated a robot is if their software sucks.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum right now? ->The basic and simple and frustrating issues with the Narwal software have been there now for well over a year. Problems that other redditors have posted over that time clearly show that timeline. Issues like mapping open concept spaces and having easy to use and manipulate split and merge lines have been solved years ago by other companies like Roborock and by Dreame. There is no excuse that Narwal - who has most definately been made aware of these issues long ago - has either chosen to ignore fixing 'merge/split' options (and more) or the current team is incapable of doing so. Agree. One day it may be fixed. One dayBut why should I wait when other companies have solved this issue a long time ago? Based on their current history of software development, I'm not holding my breath. If you're satisfied with their substandard software (and excellent robot build) that's fine. As a homeowner with a large open concept layout their mapping software is crap and pretty much renders using their robot useless unless I want to compromise how I use a Narwal. Something that is not an issue with Roborock or Dreame or Mova (and probably others also). So if a home has basically traditiona wall spaces.Sure. Narwal is great. If the layout is open concept. Then....Narwal no.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum right now? ->love my Narwal Freo Z
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended robot vacuums in the past year ->Sure about that? I have a Narwal. It vacuums and mops. You can choose the floor type both for mopping and vacuuming and pick if you want a damp or wet mop. It’s WELL worth the money in my opinion
r/unpopularopinion • Robot vacuums are expensive and a waste of time. ->I have the Narwal Freo vacuum/mop and I love it.
r/homeowners • Are robot vacuums worth it? I’ve got 4 small kids and I’m always sweeping up the kitchen. Now I have a crawling baby so I’m thinking about getting a robot vacuum, preferably the mop/vacuum kind but they are so expensive! Curious if they are worth it and an investment. ->We are very happy with our Narwal Freo. It mops and vacuums. Got it during Prime Days
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a good robot vacuum with black friday deal ->Question- why does Narwal never make these lists? Decent price point, great app, and in my experience with the Z10 it does a great job cleaning
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester ->The narwall z10 is what I use and been super happy with it. If you have a large area you can also buy and attachment that plumes in water and waste lines so you never have to fill or empty the water tanks
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vacuum that mops well? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
