Hey. Because you're all hard floor and you named some specific features, I thought I'd talk through this with you. So, Pa is important, sure, but I'm testing robots with absurdly high Pa (over 20k) that miss a lot of debris, and then there's the Switchbot K10+ which has almost no Pa and gets most stuff up. I believe, strongly, that Pa matters less than people think (and marketing people at big brands agree, they keep upping Pa because consumers name it as their main decision making factor). What matters is the design and location of the sweeps in relation to the roller. I say all this because on hard floors, you see ALL the cat hair and litter... so that design is even more important. Navigating around toys: easy. Everyone does it well. Cords? No one does it well. Debris management: 3 months in between changing the bag isn't a big deal. I think you'll be fine. mova v50- low end parts. dreame L50- wasn't bad, but thought the vacuum left a lot to be desired. narwal freo z10, narwal freo z ultra- opposite of no maintenance. you'll be refilling the water every day. eufy e28-has the right sweep/roller design, but was riddled with errors and leaks roborock qrevo curv s5x. dreame x50- good option. Narwal Is the only robot that even attempts to clean the baseboard but the only thing the frio z or x does is run a muff along it. It doesn't actually clean. It's a duster. And the frio x and z have some other problems. Notably they are water hogs and you have to refill the water all the time. After every single run.

I have tested tons and tons of robovacs (professionally) and yes, there are many worthwhile. There are many that aren't. I think this is a 2 headed problem: first, journalism isn't really set up to help you decide. Sites are monetizing reviews, and have to compete with AI and SEO, so they're formulated a specific way that make them not helpful. Second, you have to align your expectations properly. There isn't one "best", there's the best for your setup and situation and budget. Also, you have to understand that robovacs don't mean never sweeping, mopping or vacuuming again. They're good mostly at the "middle" of your room, and even that depends on how much you're willing to shift the items on your floor (cords, rugs, furniture). They can be fantastic accessibility tools, but they're not perfect... neither are humans.

If your house is clean and your floor is kept clear of cords and rando pet/kid stuff... You'll have pretty good success with almost any. Like a mid-range roboRock is probably going to be fine for you. I think the dreame x50 and x60 are spectacular in that kind of situation. I don't tend to love narwhals as much as other people cuz I think they use too much water but the flow isn't bad. I'm a really huge fan of the 3i brand, but because they're still relatively unknown, every time I bring them up people get into a furor.

Question- why does Narwal never make these lists? Decent price point, great app, and in my experience with the Z10 it does a great job cleaning

Freo Z10 was just on sale for $599 on Amazon. I haven’t say, it’s been an amazing vacuum.

The narwall z10 is what I use and been super happy with it. If you have a large area you can also buy and attachment that plumes in water and waste lines so you never have to fill or empty the water tanks

I have a Narwal and a Roborock. Wanted to try different brands. We use the Narwal Z10 for mopping and it's great. Sometimes has hiccups where it slams on the breaks every 5 feet (like it detects something that isnt there), but restarting it fixes it. The roborock is a cheaper model, Q7 L5+, but just used for vacuuming, also does an amazing job vaccuuming pet hair especially at the price point.

I have both the turbo and the ultra. Turbo has no camera/ultra has camera Turbo is better for carpets.

I have 2 of them in my house, the narwal flow 2 and the z10 ultra, the z10 turbo I gifted to a friend was mine and the difference between the turbo and the ultra is the turbo has no camera, no voice control, but it’s supposed to have stronger suction. I was actually surprised how well it performed. It’s also not that loud. Narwal in my opinion has the best mopping of all the bits I’ve owned especially for dirt and litter tracking. I also prefer them more than my mova v50 https://preview.redd.it/dwvkeamd9j6h1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b3341618b7b181cf71da3368a16bdacfd36564b

Check out the narwal z10 turbo, narwal has been my favorite brand out of the 9 bots that have.

It’s literally the hardest thing which is why I have 12 of these things, I started giving my older ones away as gifts for friends and people who actually need them, but since I have a 2000 square-foot downstairs with no carpet, I ended up getting the narwal flow 2 and it’s honestly been the best robot I’ve ever owned. I used to use the mova v50 upstairs but have recently went with the narwal z10 ultra as I picked it up on marketplace for $300, and I find it does a better job than the Mova, also it’s kind of nice to have everything on one app. I had a Roborock curv, it’s about a year and a few months old now, ended up giving it to a friend as a housewarming gift and they absolutely love it but they have a very simple layout that’s about 500 ft.² half carpet half wood tile. The other one I would look at is the narwal z10 turbo, I picked it up after falling in love with the Z 10 ultra, it’s supposed to be a more powerful version of the ultra, but with no cameras and white, it’s actually really similar to the curv but it cleans better.

I’d add the narwal z10 turbo on there. Just picked up the z10 ultra today on market place for 300$ and I’m very impressed with its performance. (Z10 turbo is on release sale rn for 600)

The only part I’m not too familiar with is height changes, as I live in the US we really don’t have thresholds, I imagine it has some sort of threshold climbing, but so far I’m very impressed with its performance and the fact that hasn’t gone, stuck on anything. And I currently have nine different robots.
