Narwhal Freo Pro has been a lifesaver for me and my hardwoods. In blown away by how good it is at mapping the house and mopping while cleaning/drying the mop heads.

I just got the narwhal Freo pro. I upgraded from the horrendous shark matrix 2-1. It is amazing. The only down side is that I have to buy cleaning tablets for it and dust bags. And unfortunately no off brand company makes the dust bags for this model. So I buy the dust bags for ultra. It fits all the same :). It’s also on sale on Amazon for 460$, originally 700$

Check out the narwhal, some of them can also mop and it will go clean the mop brushes when they’re dirty and then keep going

I just bought a Narwal Freo Pro from Costco, and I'm a bit disappointed in the avoidance features. It keeps getting its mops tangled in the power cables and other charging cables on the ground. Is there a model that has a good enough avoidance system that I wouldn't need to pick everything off the floor before running it? No pets, 1100 sq ft, no carpet (except shower and door mats, which also causes problems for the Narwal, but at least it detects them and I can choose to avoid it in the app).

Thanks, there are so many models in the lineup, I thought the Freo Pro had cameras, but turns out it only has Lidar

We have a freo pro and I swear it looks like it tries to go over something, fails, scoots back, then runs fast to go over, success in the end.

I'm in the Narwal brand. I have a Freo Pro, and a Freo X Ultra. I got both a Costco and they were a few hundred dollars off.

There’s also the Narwal Freo Pro at a similar price but you’d need to lug the base station between floors if you want it to mop on both floors since the robot lacks an internal water tank. I have seen posts of Narwal robots jumping off stairs which means it’s always important to set no go zones for the stair zone once you’ve mapped your home.

The MOVA will be better at vacuuming and the Narwal will have the best smart cleaning mode and mopping but vacuuming isn’t as good as the MOVA and tanks need to be refilled more often.

Yep the narwal models are great for mopping, but are very water inefficient compared to other models with an onboard water tank. There's also the MOVA V50 Ultra with mop pads that can tilt which is good for uneven tile floors.

It is mainly a result of confirmation bias, and most online posts are subject to the self-selecting bias. Many well-made robot vacuums can go much longer, and so even well-made combo vacuum and mop robots are still lasting well. Brands I'd go for: Dreame can have well built robots (I'd avoid the aqua 10 roller for now as there seems to be a design flaw) customer service depends heavily on region and there's mixed feedback regarding this; Eufy has generally solid customer service all around; MOVA seems to have pretty solid build quality, other than the p50 for the NA market (broken front wheel) and the z50 (docking issue due to a design flaw), solid customer service seems to be better than dreame's even though they're serviced by the same group as dreame owns MOVA; Narwal which hasbuild quality seems to be pretty good with some reporting it still worked flawlessly even though it fell off a flight of stairs because their cliff sensors are a bit weird, customer service reviews are mixed; Roborock which has build quality seems to be solid overall but obstacle avoidance is their only flaw, mixed reviews of customer service from very negative to very positive); and Xiaomi which has generally solid build quality and customer service for its price (I bought from them before and when something got stuck in the wheel where I couldn't reach it, they fixed it and shipped it back in a week).

You are spoiled for options. Dreame, ecovacs, mova, and Narwal have roller mop robots. I’d narrow it down to mova and Narwal imo. Dreame’s Aqua 10 roller robots are clearly based off the MOVA Z60 ultra roller complete (MOVA is a subbrand of dreame but they have completely different R&D teams) but with less downwards force when mopping (dreame does 9-12N and MOVA currently exerts the highest downwards force at 17N). I have seen some people report that their Z60 Ultra Roller’s autoempty port gets clogged with fur but I haven’t had this happen at all after it has cleaned 43,000sqft and I have a long haired corgi that sheds all the time. Narwal is also a good choice with a track type mop exerting 12N but it lacks a detergent tank in the base station so you’d need to manually add the detergent when you refill the clean water tank (up to you to decide how important that is). MOVA did send me their v50 ultra complete and the Z60 ultra complete to review as part of their Reddit collaboration program. Both did great removing overnight dried on kitchen grease in one go. The z60 ultra roller was able to get rid of splattered dog friendly ice cream left by my dog with most of it gone in 1 pass and totally squeaky clean in the second pass. My review of the Z60 ultra roller complete is being finalized~~~

For spinning mops, the roborock ones are very very plush which is good for textured floor. The Narwal robots are even better at mopping textured floors since it has even thicker mops but it uses a lot more water compared to those with internal water tanks like the roborock qrevo.

If referring to the Narwal robots using only structured light, yes. If referring to the RGB camera enabled Narwal robots, they’re absolutely wrong. Narwal’s computer vision and their AI smart cleaning mode is one of the leading ones with roborock trailing in this area.

Prime day about to hit. I got the freo pro last prime day for $360.

I love it. I feel like the mid range with these things is the sweet spot; best blend of bang for your buck. It doesn't have true obstacle avoidance so I just do a quick pickup before I have it auto run every night.
