"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"
"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"
"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."

"I absolutely do not regret buying the robot vacuum. ... My room is a lot cleaner and dust-free now, and I can tell just by wiping my floor with a wet toilet paper and seeing barely anything picked up. ... I've been getting allergens a ton less, most of which not even in my room. ... All this for the commitment of a weekly emptying is miles more convenient than vacuuming traditionally, as opposed to making a few taps on my phone. ... looking back it was definitely worth the investment."
"My cat has very bad mite allergies, and this vacuum is a must have for us for keeping the floors clean of all dust, dander, and dirt."
"The second floor of my house is all carpeted, and I used to clean with a Dyson V8, but since I got the E28, I haven't vacuumed myself."

"It’s is SO MUCH more quiet than the s7 it ramped up the suction power from 4000 to 19000 yet I can let it clean my office room while being in a call now."
"Extremely quiet compared to our last one to the point where we can have it running while my partner is in work meetings (besides emptying water and dust bin, but that is 10 seconds of loud x 2)."
"pads that lift on carpet so you can run it while the baby naps"

"I work from home so I have it clean the side im not in during the day and after work it cleans my office side. ... In the morning it starts around 830am and takes about an hour to vac and mop 500 sq feet 1 time. It takes about 30 minutes at 5:30pm to vac my office with carpet and rugs. ... I also have a separate weekday and weekend schedule too. ... If my dogs eat messy, ill send it to their area to clean only."
"Had a dumb one before that didn’t map our home and this is vastly better."
"Its really neat to watch on the app as it goes about your house and maps it out."

"it's also the only robovac I've ever had that ran over dog poop..."
"It gives up quickly and does not map well. ... For example, first time out, it was unable to leave the kitchen. ... So it mapped the kitchen and a space outside the kitchen that it could see was called a room. But it was only able to see 30% of the actual room. ... It did not update the map as the dreame would each run. ... Sent out for a remap. Got the center room and failed to get the hallway that did not have a threshold to cross, got 20% of another room it could't get in and didn't place a wall where there was a wall."
"my Qrevo Edge was not able to avoid some cables or other things like small pet toys my puppy would bring out at times. ... Once it even ran over a little log (of shit) my puppy left out for it which caused me to have to open it up and clean it out."

"The j7 got stuck often, maybe 1 out of 4 cleanings it either sucked up a cat toy or jammed itself under something."
"Sick and tired of the Q5+ sucking up my toddlers socks"
"everytime I turn it on it says "error 2 bumper stuck" ... I tried to fix it but no luck. ... It is useless now and I feel scammed."

"GoPro enduro batteries were dying quite fast when it was cold outside (snowboarding at -15 C/ 5F). ... Maybe that’s because of their age, but I didn’t use it that much. ... And 1 of 2 batteries is already swollen."
"I have 3 batteries for my 8 and they’ve been crap since I got them when it is cold. ... Have to store the stupid camera in a pocket on the ski lift, etc, and it still sucks."
"Gops 8 and two batteries that die within minutes in cold weather."

"the Roomba left little crumb piles everywhere."
"IMHO the brushes are my main eco concern with these, the rubber ones get ruined relly fast by long hair and larger debris."
"But the filter mesh inlet is very small compared to its competitors in the similar range, which easily gets clogged after a single cleaning cycle, so she has to clean the filter every time after using it."

"Q7 aren't real combos. ... They have a mop add-on for occasional use. ... That's cheap, has no motors and consists of a plastic plate with a cloth. ... Worth $20 maybe, added manufacturing cost somewhat <$5."
"the mopping system is just dragging the pad, not vibrating like in Q10 S5"
"Dweilen stelt niks voor"
I have a Roborock Q7 M5 which is pretty mid range, and I feel like it does a pretty good job, even on carpet. I upgraded from the Q7 Max, and have been very happy.
r/nextfuckinglevel • Effectiveness of a robot vacuum ->I got the q7 m5 for $160 during prime day deals. Working great for my needs.
r/Roborock • What is the best cheap Roborock? ->My roborock q7 runs every time we leave the house and comes back home when we do if its not already there
r/homeassistant • Robot Vacuum with good integration? ->I have a five year old Roborock and recommend this brand. There are a number of models, but the non-self-emptying ones seem to be a current bargain. Q7 M5 40% off for $179 at Amazon makes me want to get a second one (the M5 has more suction power than the L5)
r/homeowners • What's the best Robot Vacuum value for money on the market rn? ->I got the Q7 for $250 so $1800 seems absolutely insane to me but do you boo
r/Roborock • Should I drop $1800 on a robot vacuum or go cheaper? ->I also have the mopping Roborock and love it. We have 1 dog and 12 foster cats so daily sweeping and mopping is a necessity. It won’t save op money though I think it was $700. As long as the toys are picked up the only issue it occasionally has is with my really long hair getting wrapped around the rollers.
r/dogs • Is a Roomba-like vacuum worth it for dogs? Erg blij mee
r/nederlands • Robotstofzuiger ->The q7 is mostly vacuuming focused, the previous model puts a bit more focus on mopping. If you want a more vacuum only focused bot too there’s also the switchbot k10+ Amanda mentioned which I also think is a good choice for a vacuum only robot.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vac for floors that can't get too wet? ->I’d choose the roborock Q7 over the other two models :)
r/RobotVacuums • Philips Homerun Aqaua 2000 xu2100 series - are they a reliable choice?
->Getting a robot vac as a suplement to perform a daily sweep and help keep on top of the floors can be helpful ideal. Replacing a normal upright entirely with a robot is not such a good idea. No robot can match the rug cleaning performance and power of a normal vac, they can't reach a lot of spots or vacuum furniture and corners either. I would always recommend having a normal vac around for deeper cleaning. Robot vacs do require maintenance themselves especially if long hair is involved. The rollers, even "anti tangle" ones accumulate hair in the brush roller ends which need to be cleared out regularly, on top of the regular filter cleaning and emptying. Plus they can struggle if cords, sock, and pet toys are laying around. All that said and if you think the maintainence won't be a burden, I'd look at the roborock q7 and q10 series of models. I've had relatively good luck with robotock machines, and they should help keep up with the floors. I wouldn't pay much attention to mopping functions either. Usually they're more work than help.
