"It has home mapping, and one of my favorites things is you can tell it to focus on or exclude certain areas of the home. ... It doesn't quite have enough juice to do the entire house in one go, so that's one of the reasons why I like the focus/exclude function in the app because I can tell it to go where it needs to clean most."

I have a five year old Roborock and recommend this brand. There are a number of models, but the non-self-emptying ones seem to be a current bargain. Q7 M5 40% off for $179 at Amazon makes me want to get a second one (the M5 has more suction power than the L5)
r/homeowners • What's the best Robot Vacuum value for money on the market rn? ->Q7 is outdated. Q5 is the better and even cheaper successor. Don't be fooled by the "5" vs. "7". Q8 is the same as Q5 but with obstacle avoidance. Q7 and Q5 have none. Still don't trust the Q8 avoiding pet waste. It works most of the time but never risk an accident. With the idea of running 2x a day the "+" dock is surely a must-have.
r/Roborock • Best Roborock under $400? ->If Q7, then I would pick the latest variant Q7 M5 for the same $200. [https://www.amazon.com/roborock-Q7-M5-Anti-Tangle-APP-Controlled/dp/B0DSJ93KPD?th=1](https://www.amazon.com/roborock-Q7-M5-Anti-Tangle-APP-Controlled/dp/B0DSJ93KPD?th=1) It has improved suction power and better anti-tangling brushes. Q7 Max is comparably old and noisy. If you are very short on budget, there's a refurbished Q5 Pro here ($170) [https://www.amazon.com/roborock-Q5-Pro-DuoRoller-Navigation/dp/B0D9QF6BF2?th=1](https://www.amazon.com/roborock-Q5-Pro-DuoRoller-Navigation/dp/B0D9QF6BF2?th=1) Which would be newer and even better than Q7 Max, and much more silent. Don't fall for "5" is less than "7" because it's not. ;-) However the Q5's are about to be phased out.
r/Roborock • Should I buy Q7 without an emptying dock? ->Then also consider Q8 Max. This is mechanically almost the same as Q5 Pro/Max, but has additional obstacle avoidance sensor. There's also a very new model "Q7 M5", which has the strongest suction of all baseline vacuum-only robots.
r/Roborock • First Robot Vacuum: Is a Q5 worth it? ->Q5 / Q7 / Q8 aren't real combos. They have a mop add-on for occasional use. That's cheap, has no motors and consists of a plastic plate with a cloth. Worth $20 maybe, added manufacturing cost somewhat <$5. So almost all models have these add-ons so they can be sold as "combo". Real mopping starts with scrubbing robots like S8, Q10 S5 or Qrevo.
r/Roborock • First Robot Vacuum: Is a Q5 worth it? ->That's not the point. Roborock has been supported well for ages, although somewhat inofficially. People are buying Roborock vacuums because you could trust them in being supported. Now there's two new models where they messed with the API for no good reason.
r/homeassistant • Which robot vacuum is best with HA right now? ->Your Edge C doesn't have the API issue. Affected models are Q7 L5/M5 and Q10.
r/homeassistant • Which robot vacuum is best with HA right now? ->Thanks, I was looking at the Q7 M5 at $179 as a basic replacement. We're in a habit of emptying the bin each day before we run it that I don't feel I \_need\_ the + to auto empty. The bump to 10k Pa is nice.
r/Roborock • S4 Died After 4 Years, Looking for a no-mop replacement, what to buy? ->Out of those four, the Roborock Q7 M5 is almost certainly the best choice. I also agree with the recommendation of the Eufy C10, and generally the utility of a self-empty dock. If you like the Q7 M5, the M5+ (same thing, but with auto-empty dock) is $279.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for under $200 Robot Vacuum ->Sort of. There's also the Eufy L50 and L60 models, which are almost the same except for less suction and a lower price for the L50. Also look at the new Roomba 105 and 705, many Shark models, and the Dyson 360 Vis Nav. As always, check reviews; the Roombas in particular haven't reviewed well. What's more common is a vacuum-only robot with a stationary mop pad that's just stuck on the bottom. Technically, it's a combo with mopping, but the mop is just an add-on, and can be ignored. An example of this is the Roborock Q5 Pro and Pro+, which is the Q5 Max and Max+ with a mop tacked on and a few cosmetic changes. Sometimes, the Pro is even cheaper than the Max, which makes the Pro the smart buy. Just throw the mop plate in a drawer or in the trash. Be careful, though, that you're not sacrificing dustbin space for the water tank. The very similar Roborock Q7 M5 does this, while the Pro has the water tank as part of the mop plate. The most notable model that technically supports mopping, but only as an add-on, is the SwitchBot K10+. It comes with little disposable mopping cloths that attach to hooks on the back of the robot. Ignore the cloths, and you have a very good small robot that can get into lots of tight spaces and which has been reviewed to vacuum well.
r/RobotVacuums • Is the Roborock Q5 MAx+ still the best mop-less robot vac? ->If the Roborock has LIDAR (should have a short tower in the middle), then get that one. The G50 doesn't, and some kind of LIDAR is going to be better.
r/Tech_Philippines • What Robot Vacuum to get? ->So an unknown brand just came out with a fairly pedestrian robot with stationary-pad mopping, and it has a higher rating than some of the highest-regarded robots on the market? Nope. If you really need mopping on a budget, take a look at the Dreame D10+, Eufy L60 Hybrid, or one of the Roborock Q series robots. For a big improvement in mopping for not much more money, look at the Eufy C20 or Dreame L10s Ultra series. Mova can be good, if they've solved their problem with fragile front wheels. If you don't care about mopping, look at the Eufy L60 SES or SwitchBot K10+.
r/RobotVacuums • Airzeen Q10 Pro Saug - Fake Reviews? ->I bought two. Our home has one very fluffy cat and a guinea pig. -roborock Q8 Max+. This one I intend for our main level. It’s hardwood with area rugs. One tiled bathroom (that is large) and one carpeted bedroom. I don’t know how often I will use the mop function. Hardwood makes me nervous for a robot mop, and I don’t mind doing it myself if the floors are vacuumed. -roborock Q7 M5. Then I wanted something very inexpensive for the 2nd level. Separately I ordered just about the cheapest roborock available. This level is all carpet, some tile. Mop function is sort of unneeded but we’ll try it out. (Biggest bathroom has some tile issues so I prefer to mop myself. 3 other tile areas are very small, very awkward shape) This is to replace our Eufy G30 Verge that we loved and used well for 4y, but only runs 5 minutes at a time. Do I pay for battery replacement? Either way, I plan to put this in the basement which is laminate or lvp (I don’t know the difference. Easygoing fake wood :) and some unfinished concrete.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->Watch Just A Dad's review of this model on YouTube; he did a review weeks ago. I think the model without the empty station is cheaper than the one with it. But, I think for your case you could buy the lower model Q7 M5 without the self-empty station, which is cheaper and worth it for your small apartment as you don't have pets and mostly hard floors. But the mopping system is just dragging the pad, not vibrating like in Q10 S5, and there is no obstacle avoidance sensor. The battery capacity is 3200 mah; another robot with similar specs to the Q7 M5 with a larger battery is the Dreame D9 Max Gen 2 with a 5300 mah battery, which could go longer without recharging during the cleaning session.
r/Roborock • Need review of roborock Q10 S5 ->The reliability is also related to the brand reputation. I have a budget Roborock Q7 and for me budget model means cheap enough to be replaced if it's broken in 2 to 3 years. Try to find a model where you can easily find replacement spare parts and you can service it by yourself.
r/RobotVacuums • Are non self cleaning robot vacuums more reliable? ->It's decent if it's used for a small room like a dorm and has no carpet at all. I have Xiaomi E5 alongside Dreame F9 and Roborock Q7, it did quite well picking up dust on hard floor (not carpet obviously). But, the less efficient gyroscope navigation drains the battery more than my F9 and Q7, and takes half an hour to clean my small studio-size dorm. My Q7 takes only 15 minutes, F9 is 20 to 30 minutes, and E5 takes 30 to 40 minutes.
r/RobotVacuums • Opinions on the Xiaomi Vacuum E5? ->Based on your needs, Sados 10r is an overkill except you are planned to move into larger place in the next months. For Roborock, if you don't mind washing and changing the mop pad before every mopping session, you can go with Q7 M5/L5/TF with + designation for auto empty station. The Q10 S5+/X5+ gives more features above Q7 like obstacle avoidance sensor, vibrating mop pad and lifting mop pad unlike passive mop like in Q7. If you need a bit more automation, you can spend a little more on QV35A/QV35S (different only in suction power 8000Pa vs 10000Pa), and Qrevo S (7000Pa but come with warm air mop drying unlike ambient temperature drying in QV35). The QV35 has other names in some regions called Qrevo L. For Dreame, you can go with their D9 Max Gen 2 (no auto-empty dock), D10 Plus Gen 2 (with auto-empty dock), D20 Pro Plus (upgraded from D10 with more features like obstacle avoidance, extendable side brush, dual roller main brush great for anti tangle, and 13000Pa suction). There's also D20 Plus with almost similar specs to D20 Pro Plus but without the extendable side brush for corner cleaning and obstacle avoidance sensor. If you need a bit automation, there is D20 Ultra (offered in certain regions), L10s Ultra, L10s Ultra Gen 2, and so on. There's also Mova (Dreame's cheaper sub-brand) with S10 (cousin to D9), E30 Ultra for a bit more automation but cheap (cousin to D20 Ultra), S20 Ultra, or P10 Pro Ultra. You could also try to check Xiaomi's robots if available in your place. Their customer service is mostly decent and their robot is designed by Dreame using Dreame's older design and sold at cheaper and competitive price than Roborock, Dreame, and Mova.
r/RobotVacuums • Those of you with small apartments, what robot do you use? ->Better to go with Roborock even though both Tapo RV and Roborock Q7 M5 are made by ODM, but Roborock support and consumables are easier to find.
r/RobotVacuums • Tapo RV20 Max Plus vs Roborock Q7 M5 — which one is actually better? ->I have this model and it's working great since I bought it months ago. But the filter mesh inlet is very small compared to its competitors in the similar range, which easily gets clogged after a single cleaning cycle, so she has to clean the filter every time after using it. It doesn't have a carpet sensor for auto boost on carpet, but in the app, you can manually set the carpet location for auto boost. This robot also doesn't have an obstacle avoidance sensor, so beware if there is a pet in her house. The battery capacity is around 3200mAh, which is suitable for a small to medium-sized house, but not suited for a large house, as it would take longer to vacuum the house because it needs to pause the cleaning and go back to recharge.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a simple reliable vacuum ->I think I'd go with the roborock.Much higher suction rate, both brushes seem to have a pet/anti-tangle dimension.I dont think the tapo's navigation/obstacle avoidance will be great-no lidar tower. Probably better to look rv30 model.I think the Tapos are owned by tp- link.
r/RobotVacuums • Tapo RV20 Max Plus vs Roborock Q7 M5 — which one is actually better? ->I got the q7 m5 for $160 during prime day deals. Working great for my needs.
r/Roborock • What is the best cheap Roborock? ->I have two German shepherd mixes. I run my q7m5 upstairs and clean bin three times per week. I run my q7m5+ daily and it’s on auto collect into white disposable bag I empty weekly. 20$ on Amazon for sixteen. Occasionally (rarely) I vacuum or mop floors manually. Top floor mostly carpet and main floor combo carpet, wood, tile. Clean floors, patterned carpets, bridge upstairs less dust. Despite two hairy love bugs. Absolutely worth it
r/Roborock • Robo vacuum worth it? ->I love our Roborock (bought in Amazon, I’ll look at what model and price it was) but it was huge pain to get on our wifi. My husband did it and was super annoyed.
r/workingmoms • What's considered the best Robot Vacuum Value for Money rn in your opinion? ->We got the Q7, it is a vacuum and mop. I got it on prime day in 2024 for $219
r/workingmoms • What's considered the best Robot Vacuum Value for Money rn in your opinion? ->My roborock q7 runs every time we leave the house and comes back home when we do if its not already there
r/homeassistant • Robot Vacuum with good integration? ->I got the Q7 for $250 so $1800 seems absolutely insane to me but do you boo
r/Roborock • Should I drop $1800 on a robot vacuum or go cheaper? ->I just got the Roborock Q7 and I love it! It also mops and is quieter than my roomba. It’s not totally quiet but my roomba was distracting when I was working while this one is not Edit: I should also add that the white one is on sale on Amazon for about $350 which is a steal considering it self empties, vacuums and mops. Before the black one was on sale so make sure to check the different color options for what is the best price currently!
r/workingmoms • What are the best robot vacuums currently that you've tried and found really effective for daily cleaning? Erg blij mee
r/nederlands • Robotstofzuiger ->The q7 is mostly vacuuming focused, the previous model puts a bit more focus on mopping. If you want a more vacuum only focused bot too there’s also the switchbot k10+ Amanda mentioned which I also think is a good choice for a vacuum only robot.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vac for floors that can't get too wet? ->Getting a robot vac as a suplement to perform a daily sweep and help keep on top of the floors can be helpful ideal. Replacing a normal upright entirely with a robot is not such a good idea. No robot can match the rug cleaning performance and power of a normal vac, they can't reach a lot of spots or vacuum furniture and corners either. I would always recommend having a normal vac around for deeper cleaning. Robot vacs do require maintenance themselves especially if long hair is involved. The rollers, even "anti tangle" ones accumulate hair in the brush roller ends which need to be cleared out regularly, on top of the regular filter cleaning and emptying. Plus they can struggle if cords, sock, and pet toys are laying around. All that said and if you think the maintainence won't be a burden, I'd look at the roborock q7 and q10 series of models. I've had relatively good luck with robotock machines, and they should help keep up with the floors. I wouldn't pay much attention to mopping functions either. Usually they're more work than help.
r/VacuumCleaners • robotic vacuum for small apartment ->Please dont buy an roomba maybe an refurbished roborock they also haf great quality and longeity. Maybe an s7 ore the q8 q7 q5
r/RobotVacuums • $100 Robot Vacuums: Worth It for Small Spaces? Please help me... ->My answer is whatever you can install Valetudo on it. It's fantastic having a robot vacuum where the entire management of the robot, is on the robot. Internet goes out? No worries, everything still works. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got into the mod (on a Roborock Q7) but I'm really happy with it.
r/RobotVacuums • I just want the best robo vac available and the research is killing me ->The Q7 only has 4200 pascals of suction and I believe is on close out. The Q5 and Q8 both have 5500 pascals of suction.
r/Roborock • What is the best model for just vacuuming? ->I got Q7 roborock. It was amazing for a few months but now everytime I turn it on it says "error 2 bumper stuck" I tried to fix it but no luck. It is useless now and I feel scammed.
r/CleaningTips • Will I regret getting a robot vacuum? ->I have the Roborock Q7 and bought it on sale due to the wonderful recommendations from here. I have two dogs and too many cats. I love this thing! If I ever have to buy a new one I will pay the dollars for the latest Roborock!
r/homeautomation • Wife says it's time, what's the best robot vacuum? ->The chair legs are 300mm and cat hair is everywhere, that's why :) Small base like the new q7 is adequate.
r/Roborock • Which Roborock Model has the best and most powerful suction ->I love my Roborock Q7
r/CleaningTips • I'm about to check myself in a mental institution ->RoboRock has some awesome sales on Amazon right now and I have yet to see negativity about their products. My Q7 just arrived today.
r/RobotVacuums • Yet another "What robot vac shold I buy?" question ->Not comparable.
r/RobotVacuums • I’m quite unsure about which robot vacuum to buy ->I’ll give you an explanation since you seem interested. Anything roborock will be subpar. Contrary to what these marketers will tell you. You can buy the x30 or x40 I think x40 is sold out. Or even l10s ultra for the same price and the tech is SOOOO much better. I will never go back to roborock. I had a q7 and I paid 400$ for it. I swore by roborock I bought 2 other robots trying to fill the void. I randomly bought a dreame on eBay for 799$ (x40 ultra) because it had a warranty. It cleans better avoids objects. Is smart. Bigger battery. Better pickup. Better mopping makes my house smell good I got a huge tank of solution and it dispenses on the mop pads. Roborock owners will tell u that the solution in the water of the revo is better. I can smell the difference between the mopping on dreams my house is beautiful and smells clean. Roborock never did that.
r/RobotVacuums • I’m quite unsure about which robot vacuum to buy ->Yea.. didn’t fit my needs. 2k was the price of all the roborocks not the dreame.. The dreame was 800$ on eBay
r/RobotVacuums • I’m quite unsure about which robot vacuum to buy ->This and a stick vac to spot clean is what I have
r/BelgianMalinois • Best robot vacuum for Pet Hair, option under $200, what's your pick? ->Yes! Don’t get the Curv plus it’s cheaply built and ugly. The S8 MaxV has premium materials. They are all plastic but the Curv and Q series feel flimsy.
r/Roborock • Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Review from a 7-Cat Household ->You might not be happy with the build quality of the lower end series like the Q. Stick with Premium. I would get the S series or Saros. The Q series feels very cheap compared to the S plus it can handle the hair NP. It’s a more attractive unit too unless you like a shiny egg that looks like it came out of an 80s movie. lol
r/Roborock • Upgrading from Roborock S6 MaxV – Best Model for Pet Hair? ->The comment about robot vacuums only being for small places is probably based on the old random pattern robots. Most robots now map and do well in large houses. It sounds like most mapping robots would work for you, since you don't want mopping, have hardfloors, and no pets. So anything with lidar (prefered) or vslam navigation. Obstacle avoidance might be a useful feature for cords, shoes, toys etc. left on the ground. It might be worth looking into a Eufy L60, iRobot Roomba j series, Roborock Q series, or shark. I'm biased because I have three robot vacs (Roborock S6, Ecovacs x1 omni, and iRobot Roomba j5+ combo) and my roomba j5+ is the only one that is reliable and working at the moment
r/RobotVacuums • I'm searching for my first robot vacuum under a budget! ->I saw recommendations for the Roborock vacuums. Having used it for 2 days, it's been solid, and the new Q-series does seem to work well with the native homeassistant plugin.
r/homeassistant • Robot vacuum recommendation ->For the price (£250) I am very impressed with mine. Its got LiDAR, a mop, empties itself, etc. Its really neat to watch on the app as it goes about your house and maps it out. Its only gotten stuck twice, and both times were on the same chair that has horizontal bars at floor level that it can get over if it runs at it head on, but can high side itself if approaching from an angle. Definitely does not replace vacuuming as a whole though as it just cant physically get into the corners, and the vacuum itself isnt enough to really suck stuff out of the carpet, more just pick up things on top. I treat it more like a broom than anything else, but having a pet it helps me keep on top of things.
r/gadgets • Roborock graduates from vacuuming your house to mowing your lawn ->I also have the mopping Roborock and love it. We have 1 dog and 12 foster cats so daily sweeping and mopping is a necessity. It won’t save op money though I think it was $700. As long as the toys are picked up the only issue it occasionally has is with my really long hair getting wrapped around the rollers.
r/dogs • Is a Roomba-like vacuum worth it for dogs? I need to be de-influenced for my wallets sake ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
