I’ve got the Roborock Q7 Max, one of the cheaper Roborock models. Seems the main difference is that the fancier models do better mopping, which I believe - old mate basically just drags a wet cloth around behind himself 😆 The vacuuming is great though and I love the auto empty.
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? ->+1 for valetudo. If you're happy to do some tinkering with the hardware, you'll get the same functionalities but fully local. I got a roborock q7 max, it's great
r/homeassistant • What is the state of robot vacuums that work with HA in 2024. ->I have roborock Q7 max. I paid 500 bucks for it on black Friday. It mops and vacs. Doesn't have the bells and whistles of the upper tier models but I'm very happy with it.
r/AusPropertyChat • Anyone here use robot vacuums? Recommendations? ->Roborock Q7 Max. Haven’t used our normal vacuum since we bought it 1,5 years ago. No pets but long hair. The first brush was cut in two by long hairs that we don’t remove often enough, but a replacement was cheap. The mop function is ok. Had a dumb one before that didn’t map our home and this is vastly better. Our home is always clean.
r/Apartmentliving • What are the best robot vacuums you've tried - Do they really keep the apartment clean everyday? ->I've tried an entry-level Roomba, and it was OK for a few years before having battery issues. I replaced it with an expensive s9+ that started having problems right after the warranty was out, and support was pretty useless. The >$1k model wasn't noticeably better than the <$400. The one big thing I did really appreciate is the self empty canister that I only needed to change monthly or so. After my wife got too annoyed with all my hacky fixes for the Roomba we went with a relatively inexpensive Roborock q7 Max which has been great so far. The only thing I miss is having the standalone self emptier. I'm sure your mileage will vary between brands and models, but so far in my experience, no the more expensive isn't worth it. I have no idea what the best is.
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? ->This and a roborock q7 max are on different planets. It's like comparing apples to oranges. The q7 has absolutely superior functionality, navigation, and performance. It can handle large floorplans and multiple rooms, it'll be able to vacuum any surface.
r/RobotVacuums • Is this a good robot vacuum? ->I second Roborock. We have 3 cats. Works great. My son has 4 cats and uses one too. https://us.roborock.com/products/roborock-q7-max
r/PetAdvice • Is a Robot vacuum worth it for Pet Hair? Best options under $200? ->You should be happy with it, It has the electric water pump you can control in the app. For the price they are selling at it's a steal. Enjoy.
r/RobotVacuums • I’m quite unsure about which robot vacuum to buy ->Q7+ Max fam here.
r/homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->Roborock q7 perfect piece of kit for the price.
r/homeassistant • For housekeeping, what are the best robot vacuum cleaner under 500$? ->Same here. Integration is fine, i made a few buttons "return to dock" (most used haha), "clean kitchen" (cleans the kitchen zone) and "clean hallway". Beside that i use schedular integration in HA to automate the nightly cleaning cycle (what is limitated, but good enough for my use). My wife doesnt have the roborock app and dont feel like she need it, but in some cases i still use it to track maintiance and such.
r/homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->The comment about robot vacuums only being for small places is probably based on the old random pattern robots. Most robots now map and do well in large houses. It sounds like most mapping robots would work for you, since you don't want mopping, have hardfloors, and no pets. So anything with lidar (prefered) or vslam navigation. Obstacle avoidance might be a useful feature for cords, shoes, toys etc. left on the ground. It might be worth looking into a Eufy L60, iRobot Roomba j series, Roborock Q series, or shark. I'm biased because I have three robot vacs (Roborock S6, Ecovacs x1 omni, and iRobot Roomba j5+ combo) and my roomba j5+ is the only one that is reliable and working at the moment
