I recently bought the cheapest Roborock Q7 BF or something and to be honest I am very happily surprised. But I have 2 cats and an apartment, so for me, it was purely against the cat hairs and I expected nothing more. Having worked at an online retailer, I know how many times people called, (a lot) because their robot had some sort of issue no matter which brand or version. So I bought the cheapest with the least amount of functions, no dock where it empties itself and I don't use it to mop either. It's a round robot on your floor, keep that in mind. Your house won't be cleaned by it and there are still parts you have to vacuum yourself. Paying 800-1000 eu/dollar for one of these is just insane marketing with gimmicky stuff and a big box. DON'T DO IT. The robot will still get sometimes stuck or tries to vacuum something that won't fit to then start calling for help. I don't want China to have access to my phone, let alone a LIDAR scan of my house, so I just press start and it does the rest. I don't use any app, neither should anyone tbh.

Roborock q7 max with mop and dock  The dock is must have. Empty every second month.  Having clean kitchen and living floors is AMAZING. I run it after every meal as one of the kids makes a lot of mess.

The more you keep up with it the cleaner things stay. You’re not grinding dirt into the carpet. Sat this as a very messy person. My wife loves the Roborock I got her. Picked up q7 max plus for like $100 with 3 hours of use. Sure you have to be wise and just move cords once or set no go zones, but once schedules are set it’s awesome as a dirty dude to not be getting yelled at for crumbs and dirt on the floor every day. It does its thing, mops kitchen 4x a week, vacs the living room every day, does the bedrooms every other day scheduled for when nobody’s using the rooms. Once it’s set up, it’s fucking awesome. There is this defect in the dock bags though, I shimmed mine because the seal lets dust through/gives a bad smell. With the shims it’s perfect though!

Awesome score, congrats! Roomba sucks (no pun). They used to be a leader in the space but skated on name recognition for too long while the Chinese brands swooped in and started kicking their ass. Last I heard they're really struggling and close to bankruptcy. I absolutely adore my cheapo Roborock, it's amazing and I wish I'd gotten it sooner but I was hesitant to get a robot because of all the shit people had to say about Roombas. Shark can be hit or miss these days I've heard. Hope it fulfills all your wildest home cleanliness dreams!

I have the Q7 Max. No bells nor whistles but does an excellent job cleaning up after three inconsiderate cats and their messy human.

I run a Roborock Q7 Max daily (vacuum only, not mopping) on similar flooring with 3 dogs. It’s fantastic for staying on top of all the shed hair—runs every day at 3pm, auto-empties, and I come home to clean, hair-free floors. My fiancée uses the mopping feature weekly. Personally, I find it just okay… it saves me from mopping the whole house but still requires spot-mopping visibly dirty areas. Of course, we still do occasional full vacuuming (lots of rugs), but the Roborock is surprisingly effective on hair, crumbs, and dust. I used to be anti-robovac after owning a couple weak (comparatively) ones a decade ago, but the tech has seriously improved. Side note since you have cats: I’m paranoid about dog smell with three in the house, so I went deep into the air purifier subreddit and bought a few. They’ve cut down dust and dander, and trusted friends say the house smells great.

I have a Roborock Q7 max. Totally delighted with it! I’ve schedule it to run 3x a week (M-W-F). House is clean and well dusted. It recognizes carpet and lifts itself up and stops the wet mop on carpet. It’s cool!! 😎 been using it for 3+ years now. No complaints.

YES! I understand mine everyday. I have 2 large short hair dogs and hardwood floors with rugs and 1 carpet room and my Q7Max does exactly what I need it to do. I wet the mop every morning and fill up the tank, if I had the money, id love to upgrade to the ones that have a tank on the docks. I steam my floors once a month or even 2 and run my stick vac about the same, once a month. It has changed my life. I work from home so I have it clean the side im not in during the day and after work it cleans my office side. It really is life changing. I did have to send it in for repairs a few weeks ago bc the fan error. But it was covered by the warranty and Roborock fixed it and sent it back in a decent amount of time. I went back to my stick vac and Bona and I realized how much time I freed up getting the Q7Max. I highly recommend getting the best one you can afford. And if you do, I hope it helps lighten your chores :)

I have the Q7Max. I like the phone app. I have other routines like "rainy day" and it works well with my google home app.

I have 2 large lab mixes that shed. My favorite color is dog hair.

Same here! I was super skeptical at first, but after moving in with two dogs (and a long-haired partner lol), I finally caved and got a Q7 Max. My experience is basically the same, keeping the floors clear made a huge difference, and regular runs pick up so much hair I didn’t even know was there. Honestly, it’s like my most-used gadget now. The self-emptying bin is a total game changer too. The first week I tried running it only once every few days and it was constantly getting overwhelmed, but switching to daily runs made everything smoother.
