"Auto mop washing is probably one of the most worthwhile features of any robot mop. ... The rotating mops have been so successful compared to vibrating partially because the washing system is so simple. ... Since the pads rotate on the robot itself, the dock doesn’t need moving parts to clean the mop. The pads simple rotate quickly on what is basically a fixed washboard and the dirty water is sucked out. Way simpler and therefore cheaper, hardly anything to break."

curv 2 pro has lidar + same amount of cameras as 10R (including wider side cameras) although it is more expensive than both curvx and 10r and not in US. Just bought curv 2 pro after researching a lot, after returning an L50 Ultra.
I got it for 1300 EUR after some discount from a retailer (includes 20% tax), quite expensive imo.
Roborock qrevo curv 2 pro, which should also be from china. Heard stories about non existent customer service but so far am a very satisfied customer, v smart robot.
The Curv 2 pro also has vertibeam compared to the CurvX which may or may not help with navigating around certain objects.
The Saros 10R navigated better around my somewhat difficult furniture compared to the CurvX, and I wonder if Vertibeam had something to do with that.
The s9 maxV ultra (sold as the Saros 10 in other markets) has a more difficult to clean mop washboard compared to the qrevo Curv 2 pro and the Dreame and MOVA robots with the aceclean jetspray dryboard.
I’d go for the roborock QRevo Curv 2 Pro. It will fit into tight spaces better mainly because roborock generally has better navigation than Narwal and is shorter.
The extending brush on the Curv 2 pro likely has the beta feature of extending the wide brush to clean under crevices when cleaning along furniture like your fridge which was shown on the Curv X.
Both work just as well. You’ll be splitting hairs trying to find a difference in their effectiveness.
If you want it to mop I’d recommend it to have a base station that can clean its mops unless you’re alright with cleaning the mops after it finishes cleaning. The QRevo Curv 2 Pro looks like the best defacto flagship from roborock right now.
I highly recommend combo robots if your parents walk around the house barefoot, it greatly improves the feel! The combo robots I found best for keeping itself clean are the dreame and MOVA robots with the filter self cleaning function and the flat washboard. I was able to get away with making my MOVA V50 run everyday for 3 months without a noticeable change in cleanliness. After that it’ll be and the roborock Curv 2 Pro and the Narwal spinning mop robots which generally consume more water than the other options. The app is going to be a challenge for them but you can set it up for them and put it on a schedule so they won’t have to open the app at all.
All will do well with long hair. The dreame L50 ultra has an easier to clean self cleaning mop washboard but isn’t removable but can somewhat clean the filter when autoemptying. I’d also see if the Curv 2 pro is available as the self cleaning mop washboard is easy to clean and is removable.
There’s this review in German https://youtu.be/Qn_mZKM6c4U And this Italian review https://youtu.be/8z4uSgOFHqE I like the easier to clean removable mop washboard the most :)
Most high end robot vacuums have learned to avoid this area with some models marking it as “furniture likely to get stuck on”. If the chairs’ horizontal legs are shorter than 3cm, both the roborock models with Adaptlift and the Dreame X50 Ultra/MOVA V50 Ultra will lift themselves to get over it. If higher than 3cm, only the dreame X50 Ultra and the MOVA V50 Ultra can cross it.
The roborock models with Adaptlift can only cross a single threshold up to 3cm and a tiered threshold up to 4cm (3cm + 1cm). Only dreame and MOVA’s robots with their threshold climbing features (ProLeap and StepMaster) can cross higher single thresholds.
In alphabetical order: Dreame’s robots with the ProLeap system (too many to list), Eufy’s S2, MOVA’s robots with the StepMaster system (V50, Z60 Ultra Roller Complete, Mobius 60, V70), Narwal’s flow, and Roborock’s model with the Adaptlift chassis should comfortably cross an inch
https://www.smarthomeassistent.de/saugroboter/ Narwal robots and Roborock’s spinning mop robots have the easiest to clean mop washboard as they’re completely removable (the autoempty Narwal models have a disposable dustbin attachment to avoid cleaning it but I find that rather wasteful). The roborock base qrevo is already a pretty good robot as it’s pretty tangle resistant with an all rubber main brush. Roborock’s generally vacuum better than the Narwal but the Narwal has an antitangle conical rubber and bristle brush that works great with the smoothest obstacle avoidance for camera enabled models with the best smart clean mode. As for models, the narwal’s Freo Z ultra is at 549 euros. However it’s very water hungry and requires constant water tank refilling and emptying. This should be the most cost effective choice if you are mainly concerned with ease of maintenance.
Bigger dustbin + good use of dustbin when it comes to fur (no empty space should be in the dustbin when fur clogs it) + frequent autoemptying = better for dealing with hair and fur. For a vacuum only model, the roborock Q5 Max+ and the Q8 Max+ have a sizeable dustbin and uses the dustbin space well and has an autoempty station. The dual rollers help with fur pickup. In the US Dreame’s L/X50 Ultra fulfills these requirements as a combo model. So does the MOVA V50 Ultra for Canadian customers. The QRevo series has the same issue with some dreame models where the dustbin will be clogged with fur but there’ll be a lot of empty space on the sides. It’ll be good for picking up fur on carpets with its dual brushes but I think the eufy X8 should be better for dealing with finer dust.
I went with the curv 2 pro instead of the saros 10R because of the better moping 100C, suction and self cleaning. Also comes in white and cheaper which are a plus to me.
So I have owned 2 Roborocks, 1 eufy but not a narwal so I will just add my perspective on why I think it works better 1) Roborock app is one of the best ones I'm the market especially on navigation, types of cleaning, zones , no go zones etc 2) Roborock replacement parts are very easily available and honestly I have had Roborock. For 6 years now and non Roborock branded parts works just fine with less cost so very efficient to maintain which makes it lasts for long Now coming to the neutral parts - navigation on Roborock is good but others are very similar unless you take high end Roborocks like Qrevo curv[Qrevo curv](https://amzn.to/43aaORB) etc - I would highly suggest you go based on your needs as some of the functions you might not need or you may want a sleeker setup, In that case not sure if recent Roborock models are best I have [Roborock Curv ](https://amzn.to/43aaORB) for my downstairs and I have 2 dogs with very sheddy fur and Q5 max+ [Q5+ max ](https://amzn.to/3TiJqMI)for upstairs vaccuming mostly
Ordered the Roborock Curv today , found a good deal https://amzn.to/43aaORB Have been a Roborock user for 6 years, app and easy part replacement to make it last longer cannot be beaten in the market! The spare parts are cheap as many ways to get cheaper accessories so easy to maintain
[Curv](https://amzn.to/43aaORB) Curv is a good one! I have two very sheddy dogs who love getting mud from the garden. By the time I clean them , my curv spot cleans the path they have come from.. vaccum + mop which really helps. Only thing is I am a heavy user and couldnt get a drain one as I did not have that option in my house so I have to empty the tank quite regularly as we clean sometimes 2 3 times a day... Mostly spot cleaning + 1 full area cleaning
So I have 2 dogs, both shed a lot and get a lot of mud from our yard and generally where I live is quite rainy so all after the rain the dogs do get the floor dirty Because of this I absolutely needed a mop and of course vaccum for hair and carpet as well. I agree; roborock Qrevo series is pretty good; https://amzn.to/4dDP1a1 By the time I clean them after their mud fiasco the roborock is able to mop off mud and wet dirt off the floor. I can also just clean a small area that has dirt and get the robovac to the dock again and all this with the app which is super helpful. I also block some high wire areas in the app so I am guessing you can do so for your carpet if needed. I prefer it's self cleaning as it helps me use the mop or vacuum twice a day if needed too and then I just empty it out when full. Generally I am a heavy user and with that I empty the dock station every 3 days. Another reason why I choose Roborock for my main area is because with dogs, sometimes you need to replace parts ( is m too lazy to untangle if need be) so I just replace the parts and many companies make Roborock parts and are cheap so thats a plus. Again I bought this 1.5 years back, and they have Qrevo Curv[curv](https://amzn.to/43aaORB) and [Saro](https://amzn.to/3F4P8P1)s launched too which might be a good upgrade I have also used EUFY l60: https://amzn.to/4kfWGgN for my top floors but the dogs don't come there often but there is enough hair in the house to be picked up and the L60 works fine there which is vaccum only.
I have the [Roborock Curv](https://amzn.to/43aaORB), 2 dogs that shed and get dirt from the garden and similar setup as yours. Works well ! And easy to maintain with part replacement, I would go for the curvX
I would go for the Roborock for a few reasons: - very active and trendsetting company for robot vaccums - easy to. Find spare parts makes maintenance easier, if my brush has hair twirled up I just replace it as it's cheap and generally parts for them you get - great app - big variety I have 2 of the Roborocks : [Curv](https://amzn.to/43aaORB) and [Q5 MAX](https://amzn.to/3TiJqMI) and 1 [EUFY l60](https://amzn.to/3GjRaLw) that I have replaced now.
I would go for a Roborock. I have been using for over 7 years now and upgraded just twice. My first very basic one lasted 5 years for my 2 bed apartment. Reason on reliability: - spare parts easily available so I used to change the parts often than repair, saves time and machine lasts longer - one of the best apps that helps you add barriers in tricky areas, also tells when to clean generally etc I had the eufy for just basic vacuum for top floors and I saw that the dustbin filled in more quickly. More hair stuck and needed more repairs. The [Qrevo series](https://amzn.to/4dDP1a1) and the [Qrevo Curv](https://amzn.to/43aaORB) is the new good ones.
I currently own a curv 2 pro and have a samoyed, we don't have rugs but it's performing relatively well on marble flooring and hard flooring in general. I somehow do not need to clear the brush daily and it vacuums then mops twice a day, avoids the furball and treads lightly/quietly around it. I chose this as we don't have rugs/carpet flooring, and I heard the S8 maxV ultra (if price isn't an issue) is better for that, or one level down would be the Q5 max+ or Q5 pro+? can't contribute about pricing as we are probably located in different countries.
I just got the roborock qrevo curv 2 pro and it's amazing how good of a job it does vacuuming and moping. We have 8 cats one of which pees on the hardwood. It's nice to have it do a nice clean after cleaning up the mess. Make sure to order some cleaning solution when you buy so you can put it in when getting it ready.
I would recommend the qrevo edge for its large tanks as its a curv with a different dock. I just went through two dreame flagships, x50 ultra and aqua10 ultra roller and they were hot garbage. Poor navigation, poor battery life, cheap construction and poor support are just some of the issues I faced while having them. Dark colors make them error out and low light conditions will cause navigation issues. I currently have a 2024 qrevo curv and 2025 qrevo curvx as I run two robots to clean the house every day on a 3 schedule cycle each. Roborock's app is the best and the Dreame app is buggy and laggy to use. Duo divide brushes will not tangle, the dreame double roller will tangle and it doesn't pick up as well as normal vacuums even with a higher pa rating. Just a dad, vacuum wars and vacuum nerds offer lots of videos for you to compare different models. No robot is perfect but Roborock is like the Toyota of robot vacuums.
The best robots I've had so far are the Roborock Qrevo Curv and Qrevo Curvx that I use on a daily basis. Roborock is just consistently good and they are my default brand now. The curvx got off to a rough start that required a reset and two remaps but it finally got it together. I had a Dreame X50 Ultra that died on day two and a Aqua10 Ultra Roller that was beyond terrible with tons of issues and their support was horrid so I won't be inclined to try them again. I had a eufy x10 omni pro and it was okay until it wasn't and right after that I tried a Samsung Bespoke jet bot ai and it went crazy on its first cleaning run and died in the hallway. I also had a shark matrix and it was okay until it went crazy spinning against the couch in the living room.
In my experience Roborock is the more reliable brand. Recently I've had a Dreame x50 ultra and aqua10 ultra roller and they had terrible performance, the x50 died on day 2 and the aqua couldn't even navigate my dining room or follow the schedule among other things. Dark colored rugs and mats trip up the Dreame sensors causing them to error. Battery life is an issue on the newest brushless Dreame models. Do you have any thresholds that the robot would be required to cross? Most robots can cross from hard flooring to carpet and back without issue. Thresholds that are taller than 1" can trip them up if they don't have the ability to lift their chassis. Tiered thresholds can only be crossed by this type of robot. If you have ramps only the Dreame app will let you mark it on the map. I've seen people create a ramp in the Roborock app by setting invisible barriers to create a path to it. IMHO the Roborock app is miles ahead of everyone else even though it lacks ramps and the ability to rotate the map. Currently I have a qrevo curv and qrevo curvx and they are the best robots I've ever had. I run them daily splitting the house between them. Research whatever model you decide to get so you understand the maintenance required for it. Good luck with whichever one you choose.
I had one for a week and it was terrible. It wouldn't follow the schedule, navigated poorly especially when it had to use its own light and kept stalling on or near dark colors generating an error forcing someone to physically rescue it. It could never navigate my dining room and would get confused underneath the table/chairs and would leave the room without barely cleaning anything. Mine also used more water washing the mop than it did actually cleaning the floor not to mention the poor battery life. I contacted tech support and they were not very helpful so I sent it back. Two weeks earlier I had a x50 ultra and it died on the dock on day two so it went back. Earlier this week when Roborock put their curvx on sale I grabbed one and don't regret it. I also have the 2024 curv and run two bots splitting the house. Both of them do everything very well. My biggest complaint with their app is that I cannot rotate the map which I've hit up tech support about and they said they'd pass it along to their app team. As you can see the obvious with its performance the question is are you willing to pay for a machine that performs like that. I really wanted it to work but realized that what I had was all that I was going to have. Best of luck to everyone who has one.
I don't think they would go wrong with either one. I opted for the curvx over the 10r as I'm going back to two units so it will split cleaning duties with my 2024 curv. The x has a retractable turret making it just as short as the 10r plus it has a up facing sensor for the times its operating underneath furniture in addition to the lidar being able to see out the back while retracted.
Its a proven fact that some of the best cleaning robots do not possess the highest pa ratings. My 2024 curv has 18.5k and my curvx has 22k and both do very well with particle pickup. I had a Dreame aqua10 ultra roller with 30k and it couldn't do as well as they do.
I chose the curvx over the 10r because the top mounted lidar does a better job of navigating.
As a Roborock Qrevo C Pro user, I’m impressed with the robot so far. It has helped increase the cleaning frequency for my home and is very close to a hands off experience one would expect from a robot vacuum. I documented my experience with the robot [here](https://meshsmarthome.com/roborock-qrevo-c-pro-review-matter-robot-vacuum-cleaner/).
