Qrevo S
Reliable, great mopping (lifts pads), but poor cable avoidance.

I’ve got the roborock qrevo edge c and love it.
I recently got a QX Revo Ultra from Costco (basically the same model as this one [https://global.roborock.com/pages/roborock-qrevo-edge-series](https://global.roborock.com/pages/roborock-qrevo-edge-series) ) and it's supposed to have reactive AI obstacle avoidance using an RGB camera, but it runs into damn near everyone of my kids toys/books. **I typically pickup before cleanings**, however I forgot a few things on the floor and this flagship robot vacuum decided to run over every book and ram into every toy. For an MSRP $1000 robot, you'd expect better object avoidance, but I guess not.
I'm happy with my roborock Qrevo edge c. Got it on half price from amazon's black Friday sale
I just bought this last night. 50% off black Friday deal. Roborock Qrevo EdgeC Robot Vacuum and Mop https://amzn.asia/d/2ogKwPh
Sorry I should have specified, I meant the QRevo Edge S5A. It’s the same as the QRevo Edge but doesn’t have the ‘autolift’ feature or voice assist. The autolift is a new feature that lifts the front end over high thresholds which my house doesn’t have nor do I need to talk to my vacuum. FYI, even without the autolift my older Qrevo can ‘lift’ or transition from floor to carpet. Here is a webpage that compares the Qrevo with the Qrevo S5A. One essential feature that both Qrevos and Roborock higher models have is the heat assisted drying for the mop heads. That is huge as it prevents the mop head from getting mildewed. You will still want to take off the pads and clean them in laundry machine or sink/wring out as they hold a surprising amount of dirt. https://us.roborock.com/pages/roborock-qrevo-edge-series
First, I’m a happy Roborock customer and have had the QRevo (original) for 2.5 years with no issues other than the occassional cord/hand towel/shoe lace tangle. Regarding deals and model to buy it depends on price and type of floor. 1. If you have any substantial mopping I recommend the QRevo Edge 5SA on sale for $550 via Amazon Prime Black Friday deals. It’s the upgraded version of mine and key is that it has self empty vac with mop cleaning and drying system. The heat drying keeps the mop heads from getting mildewed and smelly. Mine cleans a 900sq ft first floor that is 2/3 vinyl plank and 1/3 carpet and it deals with the mixed floor wonderfully. The newer version appears to have better suction and maybe upgraded object avoidance? It runs every night all year, so it’s done over 1000 cleanings. I have to change the water tanks every other day or so. 2. I just bought Q10 S5+ for our basement this week for $259. It has self empty vac but I don’t think the mop self cleans/drys. We got it solely for the vac as the basement is where the cat lives and it’s mostly carpet. Since the mop doesn’t dry we may just keep it on vac mode only and hand mop or occasionally run the mop. Roborock has a TON of models. The highest end has a robot arm to move objects out of the way for $1000+. Too much $ for me. QRevo seems to be best ‘entry level’ of the higher end full feature models. I think Q10 is the ‘higher end’ of the entry level with less features. Two final thoughts. I am a vac/mop fanatic so I also owns three Miele vacs and a Tineco 3 power mop. Since we have multi floor house and pets the robovacs are for upkeep while I do deeper mop every few weeks. Unless you have low pile carpet and no pets/kids, you can’t beat the deeper clean of traditional vacuuming. But the robovac mop keeps the floors looking clean EVERY morning when I come down to make the coffee first thing in the morning. The other thing is that there are now a ton of robo vacs on the market. I can say that Roborock was one of the first to the US market along with Roomba and iRobot vacs and I think a better more creative product than the U.S. brands and a tested brand compared to the newer brands entering the U.S. market. I also buy from Amazon Roborock store instead of Roborock directly from their website as I prefer Amazon services.
I’d recommend the Amazon one. It’s $75 cheaper but has a higher retail cost indicating it’s ’better.’ I believe the 8000pa suction vs 5500 pa suction is probably the price difference. I also think the QX is a Costco only version? Electronic companies often lower or omit some feature on Costco/Sams Club/boxshop versions to hit lower price points. The air drying is essential to prevent mildew smell on mop head. I don’t think mine is heated air or water and seems to work fine. I actually think QV5 is the original QRevo that I have from 3 years ago, which I paid $600-800 back then, love it and is still going strong. For $200 more on Amazon you can get the QRevo edge S5A which has over twice as much suction 18000 PA and the mop goes right to the edge of the wall. Is it worth it? I wouldn’t replace mine with the newer edge model now as mine still works fine, but if mine broke I’d probably upgrade to the edge model at $549.

QRevo edge for $549 on Amazon Black Friday deal is my recommendation. I’ve had first gen QRevo for 2.5 years and love it.
Just upgraded my Roborock Q7B to a QRevo Edge C. $950 in Aus, and I think it's worth the price, but there are some things I could see it handling better. For reference I have a Border Collie x Samoyed with a double coat that blows out every 6 months + meds that make the hair growth problem worse, 1 long haired adult, 1 baby that refuses to keep food off the floor. House is mostly tiles with bedrooms carpeted, and a large wool rug that's still shedding. My vacuum is a Dyson V8. It clogs up on the rug but handles everything else OK. What I like about the QRevo EdgeC: * Duo divide brush does not get hair clogs, unlike the Q7B's single brush * Suction on max pulls the hair out of the wool rug * Pet avoidance is good, the Q7B frequently tried to eat my dog's tail * Obstacle avoidance is excellent * Auto-empty feature successfully pulls the combined hair and wool rug clump out. On the Dyson you have to set it to max temporarily every 30s on the rug or it gets blocked. * Flexiarm brush and mop do a decent job of corners * Fairly quiet What I don't like: * Mop pressure isn't sufficient to get 2hr-old sweet potato off the floor, and it struggles with kitchen grease * Wifi performance is a bit shit, although I've just swapped networks so will see if that improves * Models that leave the mop at the dock seem more useful for mixed-cleaning modes - the mops stay on for this one, but it does lift them over the rug Bagged seems easier than bagless. Bagless dustbins with vac & mop just mean you have to scrape the wet, dusty gunk out yourself (Q7B got gross, fast). I don't have any thresholds so I can't comment on that, and this model doesn't have an RGB camera to chase pets around if those features are important to you. No auto-detergent dispensing feature either, you need to pour the capful in to the main tank like a peasant. The next model up was at least another $400 and there's no way I could justify the price difference.
Yeah, the mop lift for me is enough to not wet the carpet - or you can change the settings to vacuum first, then mop. Some vacuums have better mopping options, like swapping out mop pads or a roller mop that's continuously refreshed with clean water etc etc. I've only had it a week or so, so I can't tell you yet how much the bag will hold. At its current rate I'd estimate I'll get 4-5 weeks out of a bag. The way I decided on a robovac is that I bought the Q7B for $200 on the Black Friday sales last year. Worked out what I liked (it got into corners that I would never see, it kept on top of the endless hair), worked out what I didn't like (manual cleaning of everything, always trying to eat my dog and cables, constant hair tangles, static mop was useless), and then found something that fixed the things I didn't like. The tech is only getting better, what's flagship this year will be discounted the next year. I'd save your money and buy mid-range and then accept that in a few years' time something even better will be out at that price point. EDIT: should also add that the EdgeC does not have the adaplift chassis. I don't have thresholds, so it's not in my priorities for the price.
Yes, it has a headlight that I have seen turn on when it goes under furniture or in a dark room. BTW, another poster here pointed out that the EdgeT is on sale at Costco for $799 as the QX Revo Ultra. [https://www.costco.com/p/-/roborock-qx-revo-ultra-robot-vacuum-and-mop-with-18500-pa-hyperforce-and-multifunctional-dock-30/4000376184](https://www.costco.com/p/-/roborock-qx-revo-ultra-robot-vacuum-and-mop-with-18500-pa-hyperforce-and-multifunctional-dock-30/4000376184) Here it is on the Roborock site - [https://global.roborock.com/pages/roborock-qrevo-edge-series](https://global.roborock.com/pages/roborock-qrevo-edge-series) To me it looks like a Qrevo Edge with the CurvX's retractable LIDAR and obstacle avoidance. I already have a CurvX and was looking for a second one for upstairs. I think I'm going to buy this one.
I have a CurvX and an QX Revo Ultra. What the previous poster said is accurate, IMO. The obstacle avoidance and "smart" navigation features on these models leave a bit to be desired. It's definitely better than what you find on the older robot vacs from brands like Shark and Roomba but it's not as great as I would expect from smart vacs at this price point. I've found quite a few annoyances on mine.
