We just got the roborock qrevo edge s5a for $899. Coming from a Roomba s9+ this one is really impressive. Can't tell you if it's the optimal purchase at the price point but I'm happy with it.
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot in your opinion around ~$800? ->Might want to check out the new Q Revo Edge S5A. For $750 (on sale, reg is $899) it has a lot of features and is only missing a few things (lifting robot over threshold, some AI obstacle avoidance) I’m thinking of getting it myself as an upgrade from my S7
r/Roborock • Best roborock vacuum for the value. ->Ditched my horrible shark for a Mova P50 Pro Ultra and have been very happy. Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A was my second choice. Both do great with hair and have good suction/anti hair wrap measures. The p50 gets you the ability to automatically leave the mop pads at the dock and has a hair cutting blade in the roller. I know you aren't concerned with mop functions but most good vacs include it now. Mova also has the P10 pro ultra which ditches some features and is super solid. You can also look at Dreame, of which the Mova is a sub brand of. Look for sales. Most mid tier and above vacs will do everything you want, and unless you are nit picking while testing head to head, the average consumer wouldn't be able to tell a difference in performance. I'm not sure how much they are charging up in Canada vs. the USA but I got my P50 Pro Ultra for $799 USD I've seen the Roborock on sale for $899 USD The P10 Pro Ultra was on sale for $499 USD Having had both Shark and Roomba in the past i'd recommended staying away from them. Apps/mapping are garbage. They are buggy, and parts/service can be hard to get.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking to buy my 1st Robot Vacuum ->For crevices, you need a robot with a bristle main brush. Dreame L series and Mova usually use rubber brushes, which, according to reviewers on YT, don't pick up dust in crevices well unlike bristle ones. Some Roborock model like Q5 Pro, Q8 Max, Qrevo S, and QV35A/S also uses a similar brush. I think if you don't mind with prices, E28 or E25 is a good candidate because its roller mop is superior. Roborock also has a new lineup called S5A which is the cheaper version of Qrevo Edge. Now it's $899 on Amazon. S5A uses a similar Duo Divide split brush as in Qrevo Edge and Eufy E28, a self-empty station, and obstacle avoidance but only using structured light without a live camera.
r/RobotVacuums • I just want the best robo vac available and the research is killing me ->Best vacuum in terms of what? Without camera, obstacles avoidance is garbage, except the S8 line, excluding the maxv. If you don’t care about avoidance then the pro is quite basic, you can get the Edge S5A or Curv S5X
r/Roborock • Help me choose please ->How tall are the thresholds? Most can handle 2cm with no issue but only the x40 ultra (24mm) and the QRevo Curv/Edge (30mm for a single threshold, 40mm for two consecutive thresholds that are 30mm +10mm) handle higher. Otherwise, you’d have to use a ramp
r/RobotVacuums • Best mop vacuum in the market for hardwood ->Generally: Dreame will have the best edge cleaning. This is on the x30 ultra and newer with the L/X40 ultra and newer models having an extendable side brush with the best extension algorithm right now. Mop extension lacks a spring which means it can ride up on quarter round floor moldings if your home has any. Roborock Saros 10R and the QRevo Edge/Curv are nice choices if there are no cables or pet accidents for it to eat. Narwal is a very solid option. The Freo Z ultra has the best smart cleaning mode. It’s okay taking care of things like hair and visible dust but still isn’t as good as vacuuming as it is at mopping. Eufy s1 pro is a very solid mopping option. Won’t edge clean as well as the above models but mops pretty well.
r/RobotVacuums • Best mop vacuum in the market for hardwood ->Any dreame model with a self cleaning mop tray? This would be the Dreame X/L30-40. It’s worked well at cleaning my corgi’s fur balls to the drainage area. The mop extend has worked well mopping his drool from the edges of the rooms where he likes to sleep. You can add any TriCut brush and the cover that prevents hair from going to the side to any Dreame model. It’s worked great at preventing tangles. Roborock Q Revo models are also worth looking at. Only the one with the DuoDivine brush is truly no tangle. The other brushes will have the hair and fur tangled on the sides. I recommend rotating mop models as they are better at cleaning off drool. These two brands are pretty good at obstacle avoidance and cleaning overall. There are roller mop models but Eufy’s ozone generator poses a long term risk in terms of reliability as someone reported ozone generators could degrade the rubber seals. Eureka J20 (Midea’s W20) doesn’t seem to be great at obstacle avoidance either.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Dreame vacuum with pets ->Bald dogs 😂 You asked this at just the right time when anti-tangling tech has essentially matured in robot vacuums. Dreame (DuoStream or TriCut brush), Narwal (conical brush), and roborock (DuoDivide) offer great antitangling solutions for their main and side brush. It’s become cheaper too as this feature has matured.
r/RobotVacuums • Dog hair and the robot vacuum ->How tall is the piece of transition? For a single one up to 30mm, the roborock models with the AdaptiLift chassis (the most expensive QRevo Curv/Edge and the Saros line). Anything higher up to 4.2cm, if a threshold is less than 9cm long (5.2cm if it is at least 9cm long), will need the Dreame X50 Ultra or any equivalent MOVA model (V50 Ultra). I am aware that Dreame's L/X50 Ultra and any model (such as MOVA's V50 Ultra or the rare UK-only Dreame L40s Pro Ultra) that uses dual conical brushes has a *live fur compression* feature (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOOU0uJsVdU), which helps mitigate the issue of pet fur clogging the dustbin, even though the space isn't fully utilized. I saw it in action, and I think it lives up to its claim. It also cleans its filter when auto-emptying. This should be helpful for homes with heavy shedders such as yours\~ For paw prints, I think a robot that can identify messes like this and act accordingly would be important too. Dreame and Narwal do well with this if you turn on certain functions, such as their smart cleaning mode and intelligent mess detection.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum/mop for two dogs who shed a lot ->You’d definitely want your robot to clean frequently. I run mine twice a day. Dreame L40S Pro Ultra is 1799 at JB HIFI and will clean just as well if there are no thresholds up to 2.4cm. QRevo edge will be better for higher thresholds up to 3cm. However, the MOVA z50 ultra will mop much better than both models.
r/RobotVacuums • Roborock Qrevo Edge for $1999 AUD. Is it worth it? ->Let's make some corner points. \* What moves will eventually break. So you may possibly not want the most tech cramped can-do-it-all robot like Saros 10R, because repair cost would not be cheap. \* Do you need it to climb thresholds >2cm? Then look at Qrevo Curv/Edge and Saros for their AdaptiLift feature. \* Long hair and pets -- A robot with the DuoDivide main brush system is recommended. It's doing a great job with anti tangling hair removal. My best guessed pick would be a Qrevo Edge S5A or Curv S5X, depending on which dock design you prefer. The robots are technically the same. These are light versions of Edge and Curv, don't have the adaptive body lift, don't have camera and voice assist. But you save quite some $$. Qrevo S5V is an economy choice, also having the DuoDivide roller brush. For lower maintenance, go with a revo mopper. Don't get a Vibrarise / sonic mopper.

r/Roborock • Saros 10R, Qrevo (which one) or S8? ->Qrevo EdgeT with some extra consumables, definitely. Costco made another deal to sell an exclusive model. I guess the EdgeT will not be available at Amazon or Roborock store in the US. But ehm... what's that name? Another naming scheme violation. "Ultra" was always a dock with the washing system for a Vibrarise robot. So "Ultra" contradicts with "Revo". But who cares if it sounds cool and could be sold in huge quantity? I guess Costco customers will love it. Its configuration makes sense, even when you cannot get the high threshold climbing for this price.
r/Roborock • New QX Revo Ultra at Costco ->Update : got a refund and bought the new Roborock Q Revo. Hopefully it’s better for us.
r/Roborock • Roborock [S8 Max V Ultra] poor quality ->Roborock Qrevo Curv/Edge both have adaptilift that raises the entire robot 10mm in addition to the brush/arm/mop 10mm raise. I have one and it can cross mats and pads without getting hung up.
r/RobotVacuums • Will any robot vac be able to cope with my rug? Considering Dreame X40 or Roborock S8 MaxV ultra ->Works fine for me. 😁 I have a raised carpet at the front door threshold for my elderly parents walkers and it climbs onto and off it just fine plus picks up whatever gets tracked onto it without issue. I was sceptical at first but it works so I'm happy. My master would get hung up there and my X10 would hit it's bumper on it and couldn't clean it.
r/RobotVacuums • Will any robot vac be able to cope with my rug? Considering Dreame X40 or Roborock S8 MaxV ultra ->Only the forthcoming qrevo edge and curv can handle a threshold like that.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a Robot Vacuum Cleaner that Can Handle Floor Level Differences ->I had it in my cart a few minutes ago at Amazon and with a $200 discount and a 3 year extended warranty it was still $2k and I just couldn't pull the trigger. I'm going to make myself wait for the qrevo edge that can raise its entire body to cross obstacles along with raising the mops and brushes.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a Robot Vacuum Cleaner that Can Handle Floor Level Differences ->Second Roborock. I have the Q revo edge (out of your required budget) and it's a phenomenal vacuum. Great company too -, their app works flawlessly. The cheap branded ones tend to not have great suction power and leave a lot of dirt around.
r/RobotVacuums • First time buying a robot vacuum, recommendations needed ->I guess it's the S10R 😅 I shouldve asked this question. Bought a Qrevo Edge a month ago. Still an excellent robovac though, I would recommend the Qrevo Edge.
r/Roborock • Which Roborocks are the best? ->I bought it recently as well and agree on many of those points: -it’s not vacuuming crumbs very well on hardwood floors. Definitely doesn’t pick up pine needles from a Christmas tree -when i do vacuum + mop, it would just mop over the crumbs -it did make little piles of hair all over the place on the carpet which i just ran around picking up afterwards. -the app was awful when it first started making the maps. Sometimes the maps would just go missing and I’d have to map again. So far so good though, they haven’t disappeared in a few days Positive note: when i reached out about returning it the customer service was fast and they sent me all the details without a fuss. So i do appreciate that, thank you
r/Roborock • The new Qrevo Edge ->I've owned both (Edge not curv but they're identical besides the base). My Qrevo Edge stopped working after a month so I just returned it instead of getting it replaced under warranty and waited for the Saros 10R instead. I've had the Saros 10r for a couple days now and ran it multiple times so there may be some things i'm not aware of yet but the main things i've noticed so far is that the Qrevo had bigger tanks so you don't need to fill the tank / clean out the dirty tank as often. Qrevo obviously has a bigger base footprint as a tradeoff. The Saros mapping was better/more accurate than the Qrevo and was able to accurately depict problem areas / pets. It automatically was able to map out my shoe rack, bed, couches on the map as well as all the rooms and carpets very accurately. The Qrevo wasn't bad by any means but the Saros has definitely been slightly better. I have a little 2 inch step up going from my kitchen to living room and both had no issues dealing with it. Both the mopping and vacuuming are of similar quality from the few runs i've done but i've also not had any extreme messes either. In terms of object avoidance, my Qrevo Edge was not able to avoid some cables or other things like small pet toys my puppy would bring out at times. Once it even ran over a little log (of shit) my puppy left out for it which caused me to have to open it up and clean it out. I haven't had this issue yet with my Saros in terms of pets. Fortunately my puppy is slightly older now so it's not shitting in the house so I can't say for certain the Saros would avoid it. I primarily used the Smartplan feature for both and both are good enough to handle my 2 dogs hair with no issues. I think the Saros 10r is a very slight upgrade over the Qrevo Edge/Curv but I don't think it warrants "upgrading" if you already have a Qrevo. It's definitely less of an upgrade if you have massive areas to clean as you'll need to swap out the water tanks far more often but that's also just an expected tradeoff. I do personally think if you're in a return window it's worthwhile to do so but realistically it's a very minor difference.
r/Roborock • Saros 10R 24 Hour Review ->I have 5 dogs and run a doggy daycare and boarding business out of my home. I've had a few different brands of robot vacuums and vacmops, which have all died just after their 1yr warranties. Did a ton of research and decided to make a huge investment in the new, $1600 Qrevo Edge. I've had it about a month so far (halfway through my 60 day trial period), so here are some thoughts from a superuser: PROS: - I love how it looks (simple but true) - It empties and refills itself, which is amazing - Also love that it cleans itself - It's not as loud as some of the others I've had - it's pretty easy to clean CONS: - It doesn't clean the floors nearly as well as a $1600 mop should... - Supposedly it also cleans the carpets? I have that function on, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything - the app is not user friendly at all - it's supposed to let me see my dogs...how? Where?? Don't see this functionality - this thing has gotten stuck just about every time I've run it, something my much cheaper versions didn't do - it's also the only robovac I've ever had that ran over dog poop... 1mo review summary: this thing is nowhere near worth the price, and if I end up returning it within the next 30 days, I won't be going with roborock at all again
r/Roborock • The new Qrevo Edge ->My dreame x40 has the side brush error and goes back to Amazon. Edge has taken over and looking good so far .
r/RobotVacuums • Qrevo Edge vs. Dreame X40 Ultra ->Qrevo edge is my pick. It’s technically a few months old but only came out in Aus last week. So even if there are new models coming we probably won’t get them for another year. Roborocks software is a step above the other brands
r/RobotVacuums • Best high end robot vacuum to buy RN ->Basically, if you want the best vacuum and obstacle avoidance, you will want one of the top bots! Currently the top dogs are the Saros 10 / Saros 10R and last years models the S8 MaxV Ultra and the Qrevo Egde / Curve. We mop A L O T and like, besides emptying the dirty water tank daily / every second day and refilling daily / every second day, i only have to do "deep maintenance" which involves washing the water filter (its hard plastic so no drying time) and washing underneat it and the smaller mop with a damp cloth, and thats for someone who does the deep+ program once a week. If you just do regular vac & mop, depending on how big of a house you have, and the program you use, you wont need to refill the water tank more than like every 3 days realistically, and it only takes like 30 seconds to do so! Feel free to DM me if you have more questions or just ask them here :)
r/Roborock • Help choosing a model - looking for good navigation, don’t care about mopping ->Ok, so you want to tell me that premium robot vacuum which cost 1000 euros (qrevo edge) is recognised as mid / cheap solution? And it's still too cheap to have a proper object recognition, so we need to spend 1500 euros on saros 10? Sorry but in which price point we are going to say "that's enough"? The new one with the robotic arm is priced around 2000 euros. It's just getting ridiculous.
r/Roborock • Saros 10R vs Qrevo Edge - Object Avoidance on Rugs ->Let's not compare graphic cards to vacuums, because it's not the same size of the market. The only real competition to nVidia is AMD, where roborock is against 20 or more brands. I am waiting when qrevo edge will be discounted because I wanted to buy it. For example dreame x40 ultra is now discounted in my country, but after reading dozen of posts of people who have problems with this brand, I decided not to buy it. I could always choose ecovacs for example, but because I want to use one app (modded xiaomi mi home app to control all home devices), I decided to keep roborock as my primary choice.
r/Roborock • Saros 10R vs Qrevo Edge - Object Avoidance on Rugs ->I've ordered the qrevo edge. Was holding out for the curv but given it's virtually the same with just a different looking dock decided to pull the trigger on the edge with the free H5 as part of the launch offer. The CES robots won't get in Australia till late this year I believe, given how long it took to get the edge/curv. I hear dreame support isn't very good. Other than that dreame maybe a good option - keep in mind the x40 ultra doesn't spin the side brush on carpet which makes it a no go if you have edge to edge carpets. I'm coming from a roborock s7+ and my experience with roborock has been great. Wanted that newest with spinning mops, fully automated dock and threshold climbing and so decided on edge! You may not need the threshold climbing or may not have edge to edge carpets and perhaps you want better obstacle avoidance - then go for dreame x40.
r/RobotVacuums • Best high end robot vacuum to buy RN ->So if the S5V is the Curv/Edge, but without warm mop washing, camera, lifting roller brush, lifting chassis and 2/3 max suction, it's probably a great deal at that price! (Currently using a Q8 Max+ and Qrevo Edge)
r/Roborock • Qrevo S5V buy advice ->I have the QRevo Edge (Curv with different shape station) and besides being under my sofa, I'm not sure what I'd gain with the 10R. I would have gotten it if it was available for the same price, but it's going to be 30% more with no real gain...
r/RobotVacuums • Help me pick a Roborock vacuum please ->I feel like this is too much of a dichotomy, I run a Q8 Max+ and Edge white I'm away, in 2 different places with a toddler, and though I tiddy the toys a bit, I'm not touching anything else and any LiDAR Roborock these days will do an amazing job navigating a normal house. Just watch him run the first time or two and adjust the one thing that may be problematic, but don't go spending hundreds more for basically no gain for most people. Yes for the sofa if you can afford it... I didn't feel it was worth it in my case.
r/RobotVacuums • Help me pick a Roborock vacuum please ->I agree that if you can get the 10R for less than 200$ difference and can afford it, go for it. I tidy the toys mostly because it doesn't make any sense to clean around them only, but the Edge has reported wires and toys on the camera quite often, so unless you really are trying to run it through a battlefield, I feel like most people underestimate and worry too much about any of the current robots abilities...
r/RobotVacuums • Help me pick a Roborock vacuum please ->Update: the qrevo edge does clean and traverse the mats just fine.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot to Vac/Mop tile.floor with mats and messy kids ->I caved and bought the Roborock Qrevo Edge 5v1 (Don't need the jumping feature the Edge has, the house is level all around.) Just got it for 600 usd on sale! Can't wait for it to arrive!
r/RobotVacuums • Need RoboVac Recommendation Budget up to 700usd ->Honestly I'd recommend avoiding Ecovacs, look at their reddit community. I ended up buying a Roborock Qrevo Edge 5v1 and it's been awesome. Cleans edges real well and doesn't leave streaks on my marble floor.
r/RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum and mop is the best: Roborock Q Revo Pro, Eufy x10 Pro Omni, or Ecovacs Deebot T50 Pro Omni? ->My Roborock Edge 5v1 does an immaculate job cleaning edges and mopping my marble floor.
r/RobotVacuums • L40, X40 or eufy e25 or eufy ->My Qrevo Edge has been great. Did you enable the camera?
r/Roborock • Qrevo Master/Pro obstacle avoidance is extremely sub par ->I wanted to share some differences between the 10R and Edge/Curve on carpet. I noticed the Edge was constantly getting stuck on our dogs toys in the bedroom, but other rooms it never had issues. The only difference was the rug in our bedroom. I setup a testing area to highlight the performance of the 10R over the Edge with object detection on rugs. As you can see, there's a huge difference between the two units; the 10R clearly has better object recognition, but the cleanup is not as good as the Edge.
r/Roborock • Saros 10R vs Qrevo Edge - Object Avoidance on Rugs ->I really enjoy the 10R, the Edge was nice, but the 10R is pretty much set and forget.
r/Roborock • Saros 10R vs Qrevo Edge - Object Avoidance on Rugs ->I believe so, the unit definitely needs better firmware. Currently I’m using the stock firmware with “Less Collision” set to None. I also discovered I need to tell the unit to “ignore” items within the map, something I’ve never had to do before with the Qrevo Edge. This makes me believe the Saros 10R has some amazing obstacle detection via hardware, just poor software behind it. I’m hopeful Roborock will apply better updates soon.
r/Roborock • Saros 10R vs Qrevo Edge - Object Avoidance on Rugs ->The Edge will perform the same as the Master as it relates to object avoidance. The Slim is only slightly better. My guess is you will find it to be sufficient for your expectations. Come back and let us know what you think!
r/Roborock • Is the AI and obstacle avoidance really that bad? ->How does this compare to qrevo curve? Thats what I just got causeni didnt wanna wait the one week for the 10r. Also cause the buckets were small and we live in a big open house. Did I make right choice or should I return and rebuy 10r? Lol
r/Roborock • Saros 10R 24 Hour Review ->Yeah I have the edge, not curve. I misspoke I itislly lol. Brand new ti me and knew I was looking at curve edge and saros. But I have edge too. And I do have a big space its running in so the tank size is important for me. Guess I’ll hold onto it for now!
r/Roborock • Saros 10R 24 Hour Review ->There really aren't any mop only robots besides the antiquated Braavas which you shouldnt waste your money on. Better to sell your current robot (or use in basement or give to a friend) and upgrade to a Roborock Q Revo master/Curv/edge, Eufy S1, or Dreame L40 ultra (which is cheaper than X40 but performs better)
r/RobotVacuums • The best, mop only robots? ->Of these, the worst mopping will be the Q5 and Q8 robots, which just have stationary pads attached to the back. The S8 also has a pad attached to the back, but includes a scrubbing motion via a plate that vibrates at a high speed. It's better than the Q5 and Q8. The best mopping will be on the Qrevo and Eufy X10. They have spinning mop pads, a dock which refills the water tank on the robot from its own water tank, and also cleans the pads automatically and stores the dirty water in another tank on the dock. Of the last two, each has its strengths and weaknesses. The X10 will be better at obstacle avoidance. The Qrevo is a Roborock, which has a better reputation for quality and reliability than the Eufy, and is also rated a little better than the Eufy at a lot of things: vacuuming performance, mopping performance, etc. It also can swing out one of its mop pads for better edge and corner cleaning, something the Eufy can't do. In some cases, obstacle avoidance is really critical, in which case I'd recommend the Eufy. Otherwise, the Qrevo is likely your best bet.
r/RobotVacuums • Home Depot sale. Are these a good buy? ->Qrevo and qrevo pro are awesome!
r/homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->Roborock Qrevo is expensive but works very well. We have two long-haired dogs who can shed a third dog before noon. The Qrevo sweeps and mops. We usually run it in the morning and again in the evening.
r/Appliances • What do you think are the best robot vacuums available now? Do they work better than traditional cleaning methods? ->I'm using Roborock Qrevo right now. The price is budget-friendly, and the integration is native (support local based on the document).
r/homeassistant • What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today? ->really? it’s been plug and play for me
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? ->ah i just made the routines in HA and just call from HA. i don’t use the app
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? ->i hear you - my POV, which i realize may not be strictly accurate is that if something can be configured to do complex automations (room cleaning etc) in 15-20 minutes in HA then that counts as plug and play :)
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? ->certainly wouldnt hurt! The roborock integration page is (unusually) helpful. With that said, i don'tchange mop intensity or vaccum power with my routines, but that should all be pretty easy. If it doesnt work, feel free to reach out maybe i can help!
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? ->I'm not sure what is actively considered a top vacuum but something I've learned the hard way is to make sure the robot has a setting to empty the dustbin periodically or else it will go through a whole run, then try to empty the dustbin and the charging station will get clogged trying to suck the large clump of hair into the dust bag. I have a qrevo and really love the robot but the fact roborock doesn't currently have an option to empty the dustbin every 100 sqft or so, means that I have had to set up separate schedules for each room so it goes back to the dock to empty the dustbin between each room. It's frustrating.
r/RobotVacuums • What’s the Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair? ->Totally. Yeah I also hoped they'd update the app to add that but I've had the robot since it first came out a little over a year ago and it doesn't have that yet so unsure if they will ever add that.
r/RobotVacuums • What’s the Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair? ->The Roborock is a big hit, it's also very quiet (under the 65 dB mark). Also check out the Eufy on this list for under $500.... [https://www.soundproofgenius.com/get-a-quiet-robot-vacuum/](https://www.soundproofgenius.com/get-a-quiet-robot-vacuum/)
r/workingmoms • Seeking the best Robot Vacuum Cleaners Under $500 ->Roborock has a good implementation into HA which I've used the past year. Maybe the Q Revo will be something for you? Or a top model like the Sxx versions. I just switched to the eufy x10 pro omni and I'm bummed that there are no working solutions for HA for this model yet :(. I have to use another app like a noob.
r/homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->Trust me you don’t need to drop $1800 on a robot vacuum. Any decent flagship Roborock will do, S8s or one of the higher end Q Revos. Saros is great but again you don’t really need them. Would avoid the other ones.
r/Roborock • Should I drop $1800 on a robot vacuum or go cheaper? ->I absolutely love my Q Revo. I bought it with intentions of it being supported by Valetudo, but honestly… the app works, the HA integration works. I have a geofence that runs the full vac/mop when I leave in AM thru HA. I trigger a night mop of kitchen at 1am via HA. I have automations that notify on the TV when the buckets need to be filled/dumped. I’m planning to 3D print replacement buckets with auto fill and dump — this is my only issue… needs that water and dumping based on size of house and how often you run the mop.
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? ->Absolutely love ours
r/homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->I've been very happy with mine as well. I don't want any of the ones with a camera on it, so I'm happy with the Revo's lidar.
r/homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->This is why I got a Q Revo. It has neither of these features.
r/homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->Had the Q Revo from Costco and it constantly got clogged. To be fair, we have a long haired cat too. It started to leak both dirt and water. What I’ve learned is that anything combo, which the Q revo vacuum and mops, does a subpar job at both. Will probably try the shark robovac.
r/germanshepherds • Robot vacuum recommendation to tackle GSD hair?? ->Unfortunately it still accumulates on the vacuum duct and I have to manually pull out the hair clog. I don’t know why it was leaking fluid the other day. I think I’ll just mop separately.
r/germanshepherds • Robot vacuum recommendation to tackle GSD hair?? ->The other problem is removing hair that has become tangled in the roller. You can’t just remove the ends like Roomba.
r/germanshepherds • Robot vacuum recommendation to tackle GSD hair?? ->Yes! Don’t get the Curv plus it’s cheaply built and ugly. The S8 MaxV has premium materials. They are all plastic but the Curv and Q series feel flimsy.
r/Roborock • Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Review from a 7-Cat Household ->You might not be happy with the build quality of the lower end series like the Q. Stick with Premium. I would get the S series or Saros. The Q series feels very cheap compared to the S plus it can handle the hair NP. It’s a more attractive unit too unless you like a shiny egg that looks like it came out of an 80s movie. lol
r/Roborock • Upgrading from Roborock S6 MaxV – Best Model for Pet Hair? ->The comment about robot vacuums only being for small places is probably based on the old random pattern robots. Most robots now map and do well in large houses. It sounds like most mapping robots would work for you, since you don't want mopping, have hardfloors, and no pets. So anything with lidar (prefered) or vslam navigation. Obstacle avoidance might be a useful feature for cords, shoes, toys etc. left on the ground. It might be worth looking into a Eufy L60, iRobot Roomba j series, Roborock Q series, or shark. I'm biased because I have three robot vacs (Roborock S6, Ecovacs x1 omni, and iRobot Roomba j5+ combo) and my roomba j5+ is the only one that is reliable and working at the moment
