"It is a very basic system which has not improved much from when it was released which is a hardware limitation. ... I find the reason you often get mixed reviews has more to do with a lack of understanding of object avoidance which is only designed to pickup and avoid items on the floor that are lower than the lidar on the decklid. ... You can see the Pro (which has the exact same Reactive Tech object avoidance as the old Q Revo and the Qrevo S) can only really avoid the cup which all robots even with no object avoidance are able to do ... If you have pets that have accidents in your house do not rely on a Q Revo to avoid it."
"Seriously tho, my old eufy L60 clearly and significantly outperforms a brand new Roborock Qrevo MaxV from Costco, in picking up pet hair from carpet and staying tangle-free."

"make sure the robot has a setting to empty the dustbin periodically or else it will go through a whole run, then try to empty the dustbin and the charging station will get clogged trying to suck the large clump of hair into the dust bag. ... I have a qrevo and really love the robot but the fact roborock doesn't currently have an option to empty the dustbin every 100 sqft or so, means that I have had to set up separate schedules for each room so it goes back to the dock to empty the dustbin between each room. ... It's frustrating. ... Yeah I also hoped they'd update the app to add that but I've had the robot since it first came out a little over a year ago and it doesn't have that yet so unsure if they will ever add that."

"My Q Revo was visibly making my white tile floors looks dingy and dull even with daily 2x mopping using their detergent with max water usage and frequent mop washing."
"What I’ve learned is that anything combo, which the Q revo vacuum and mops, does a subpar job at both. ... I think I’ll just mop separately."
I was in the same boat, but recently got a Qrevo Max V. Really happy with it! What made me pull the trigger was quite a significant discount on it during a new store grand opening. So my advice would be to make a list of robovacs you're interested in, and from what stores, and then pull the trigger when there's a good discount. Like all robovacs are great value for money depending on the price.
r/RobotVacuums • I'm new, which vacuum should I get? ->Seriously tho, my old eufy L60 clearly and significantly outperforms a brand new Roborock Qrevo MaxV from Costco, in picking up pet hair from carpet and staying tangle-free.
r/RobotVacuums • I analyzed the 25 most recommended robot vacuums on Reddit ->A few people have asked about cat vomit in here, and I need to be clear: I have zero experience with cat vomit. Poop, I can tell you is going to get recognized, but I'm honestly not sure about vomit, and welcome anyone to weigh in on how robots recognize it. Some other concerns: cat toys. They're tiny, and light, so that's good, but any robot with LiDAR is going to see those as an obstacle and go around them (where a bump and go like Roomba might have just pushed them out of the way). Cat litter isn't an issue, its small enough most robots will capture it. Dirt is another... most robots will handle this fine. So... you've got about 650 to play with per floor.... the thing is there aren't many vacuum only models anymore. Most are combos... you can certainly ignore the mop..... but if I might suggest. Consider getting a [Switchbot k10+](https://amzn.to/4lkV06z) for the upstairs. A few reasons. Too small for the cats to ride around on, but small enough it might not bump into as many cat toys. It navigates carpet well, and its cheap. Deal is already posted above. If you hate it, return it. I don't think you will, unless the upstairs is a lot of sq feet. If its under 1000, you're good. It is a vacuum only. For the downstairs, now you have 900-1000 to work with. Lets see if we can find a Roborock that's within that range. If you could stretch to 1,279.99, I'd say get the Saros 10R, but prob not within budget. So, skip the sale and get a Roborock Qrevo MaxV. [https://amzn.to/3TYAaha](https://amzn.to/3TYAaha) here's my review of it. [https://lifehacker.com/tech/roborock-q-revo-max-v-review](https://lifehacker.com/tech/roborock-q-revo-max-v-review) And, you're only blowing like $300 for the upstairs, so if, in six months, you decide you love the Qrevo so much you want to invest similarly upstairs, sell the Switchbot and grab another under $1000 Roborock at the next sale., maybe a [S8 Pro Ultra](https://amzn.to/3TpMDdG), which is only like $549. It's pre-extending arms, so the sweeps don't extend... but on carpet, it doesn't matter as much. r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy ->great news! Almost ANY roborock you get (for that matter, any robot) is going to far surpass your i7 experience. I would not grab the Q5, TBH. There is, actually a very big difference between $500 and $1000 robots, but if I may recommend... I'd say the best CURRENT value on a Roborock is the Curv/Edge, the S8 MaxV Ultra and the QRevo MaxV. While the Saros are great... I don't think they're better \*enough\* than the models listed about to justify the price. Also, I'd wait for Prime Day, regardless. Also, I test robots for a living for Lifehacker, and am not sponsored by anyone, and test robots in my very real house.
r/Roborock • How does one decide which Roborock to get ->a lot of these models, having tested them, are not going to handle cat litter well. most robots don't handle larger debris, frankly. I like the Curv/Edge (its the same) and the Qrevo MaxV. Don't bother w the other options, honestly. I do wanna throw a wrench in and suggest a model I really dig, but is a little controversial. the 3i S10 Ultra, it'll be in your price range for [the sale](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nvsulx/every_robovac_on_sale_for_amazon_big_deal_days/). It'll handle the litter and anything else they drag in, and its super autonomous, and sanitizes itself. Some people have mentioned a musty smell coming from it, i haven't experienced that. I'm still absurdly happy w it. [https://lifehacker.com/tech/3i-s10-ultra-robot-vacuum-mop-review](https://lifehacker.com/tech/3i-s10-ultra-robot-vacuum-mop-review)
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum + mop combo for mixed floors, allergies/asthma, and cat hair? (early fall Prime Day deals planning) ->Q revo. Which.... give the stats table might not make sense, but its the most reliable of the three, which i've tested.
r/RobotVacuums • Comparing three vacuums can’t decide! ->Oy. Don't love these options, but if this is it: Roborock Qrevo MaxV Robot Vacuum & Mop (7,000 Pa) . It was a good model, and while a little outdated for Roborock features, still a great model. Still..... peruse some other options before you decide. [https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nvsulx/every\_robovac\_on\_sale\_for\_amazon\_big\_deal\_days/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nvsulx/every_robovac_on_sale_for_amazon_big_deal_days/)
r/RobotVacuums • Help! Which Costco to buy? ->I loved the MaxV last year, it felt very modern at the time. A number of features around nav and sweeps have happened since then, so it feels a little out of date. But... I haven't tested all these subvariants of the Qrevo listed above. The arc looks like the Curv.... so not sure why its named differently.
r/Roborock • Which Roborock model to buy from Costco ? ->I'm enjoying the one on the 3i, but that said, I think the adoration for the roller is overblown. It's probably cleaner than the mop pad or spinning pads due to the design, but that doesn't always translate to cleaner floors. I've had the best experience from the vibrating mop pads... but that Qrevo MaxV and Saros 10R both do a great job with spinning pads, too. It's less about the method and more about the model.
r/RobotVacuums • Anyone using a roller mop for more than 3 months? Still recommend it? ->Q Revo Max V and I love it so much! My dust bin gets sucked right into the dust bag. The on board camera will take a picture of any obstacle in its path and then go around it. I have 3 dogs and one cat plus 3 humans and I don’t get any tangled hair in the brush. I bought mine from Costco so I have a year to determine if I still love it.
r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum and Mop to Buy with Good Suction? ->The maxv has a much better obstacle avoidance system, definitely go with that one
r/Roborock • which roborock is better? ->Hi! Heavy shedding double dog owner here. We also have a doggy door so they can do what they want whenever. We have construction going on around us so outdoors is covered in dirt/dust. We have 90% dark brown engineered hardwood floors then rugs/runners. Get yourself a Roborock Q Revo Max V (on sale at Costco). This thing has an arm that swings out the mop putting up against the baseboards. It doesn't suck up things it shouldn't (dog poo if it happened, or electrical cords) thanks to its camera. We paid top dollar when it was newer and were very skeptical of the price. We had robot vacs before but not mops. All the vacs always had some issue with battery life, sucking up what it shouldn't, getting lost, etc. The Roborock has been MAGICAL!
r/CleaningTips • How do you keep floors clean with pets around ->Just picked up the q rivo max v. Costco 899. I've had it two days and i'm loving it.
r/Roborock • Best robo vacuum under 1500 ->Not a dumb question. Tech’s come way further since ILIFE and Shark days. Get a Roborock or Dreame with LiDAR + good obstacle avoidance (e.g. Q Revo MaxV). No strips, no cords eaten, no blind roaming. If you buy right, it won’t end up in the closet 🙌🙌
r/RobotVacuums • Maybe a stupid question? How much have vacuums gotten better over the years? ->Roborock Q Revo or Q Revo MaxV. Solid suction, avoids carpets while mopping, great mapping, durable, and won’t break the bank like the S8 MaxV. Handles hair, crumbs, corners well. If vacuum-only is fine, look at SEBO Dart or Miele C3 for long-term value 🙌
r/RobotVacuums • suggestions and recommendations please ->Just to provide an alternative opinion on Valetudo, the official Roborock integration has improved so much over the past year. I’d personally recommend Roborock (I have the QRevo Max V but they have new models all the time) and the official integration within HA. I started out using the HACS integration for it but recently replaced it with the official integration and it’s been much better. It now works locally, and has lots of functionality. The best part in my opinion is that it recognises routines from the Roborock app as button entities in home assistant so they can be automated. I understand that Valetudo is for people who want to break away entirely from the vacuum manufacturers but in terms of functionality of the vacuum/mop itself, the standard integration does a great job.
r/homeassistant • What's the best recommended Robot Vacuum on the market that you really swear by? ->QRevo maxv is still on sale at Costco for a little over $800. I’ve had mine for about a month and love it. I think it will check all your boxes and it’s Costco so returns are easy- even years later.
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot in your opinion around ~$800? ->My Qrevo vmax seems to be doing just fine on that point
r/Roborock • What disappointed you the most with your Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra? ->There is a chance it improves. I bought qrevo maxv a few weeks after release and it was miserable in obstacle avoidance so much I went back to dreame l20 on the main floor. Then I kinda forgot about it for a few months and somehow it improved amazingly. Just software catching up I guess
r/Roborock • Saros 10R 24 Hour Review ->Love love love my Roborock!!!! https://www.costco.com/.product.4000287009.html?COSTID=iosapp_25.8.6&TRACKING=NO&adobe_mc=TS%3D1756762648%7CMCMID%3D69053172120732763618908978700998700196%7CMCORGID%3D97B21CFE5329614E0A490D45@AdobeOrg&sh=true&nf=true
r/goldenretrievers • Robot Vacuum Reviews ->Not an expert about what might be good in your price-range but you definitely want something with the rubber rollers, NOT bristles. Probably also have to forgo a mopping feature unless you get a huge sale as you're looking in a pretty low price range for robot vacuums (unfortunately they're pretty expensive!). Vacuum Wars is a great resource. We have the Roborock QRevo MaxV and it works pretty well but it's quite a bit more expensive (cost us $1000 in Canada). Mediocre on carpets but great on the vinyl floor. No matter what you choose you will still need to do a good full vacuum once per week or so but it makes a huuuuuge different for day to day maintenance and how much hair is floating around running it every day.
r/BuyItForLife • Pet owners, what's the best robot vacuum for TONS OF PET HAIR that's worked really well? ->After daily vacuuming then mopping, my hardwood floors became notably softer and had a shine. I’d recommend robots with roller mops or spinning mops. For roller mop robots, I’d recommend the eufy S1 (Pro), eufy E25/E28, MOVA Z50 Ultra, and the Narwal Flow. All of these robots except for the eufy E25/E28 will have good obstacle avoidance. For spinning mop robots, I’d recommend dreame/MOVA robots with the AceClean/jetspray dryboard, the Narwal Freo line with an all in one base station, the roborock qrevo line. If obstacle avoidance is important, I’d consider the Dreame L40S Pro Ultra, L/X50 Ultra and the Narwal Z/Z10 Ultra.
r/HardWoodFloors • Robot Vacuum Mopping Hardwood? ->Bigger dustbin + good use of dustbin when it comes to fur (no empty space should be in the dustbin when fur clogs it) + frequent autoemptying = better for dealing with hair and fur. For a vacuum only model, the roborock Q5 Max+ and the Q8 Max+ have a sizeable dustbin and uses the dustbin space well and has an autoempty station. The dual rollers help with fur pickup. In the US Dreame’s L/X50 Ultra fulfills these requirements as a combo model. So does the MOVA V50 Ultra for Canadian customers. The QRevo series has the same issue with some dreame models where the dustbin will be clogged with fur but there’ll be a lot of empty space on the sides. It’ll be good for picking up fur on carpets with its dual brushes but I think the eufy X8 should be better for dealing with finer dust.
r/RobotVacuums • Best vacuum today for pets? ->Are you looking for only roborock? The roborock MaxV has no extending side brush for corner cleaning. Roborock’s side and edge cleaning algorithm is also rather conservative and won’t extend the side brush out to clean closer to edges if there’s like a toe kick or swing the extended mop(which dreame/MOVA does and Narwal does this too but with the mops only). > better mobility and avoiding obstacles Roborock’s obstacle avoidance lags behind other robots, even at this price range. TvT I’d check out the dreame l40 ultra or the MOVA p10 pro ultra if cheaper than the MaxV. Turns out it’s the p50 with the broken front wheel issue.
r/Roborock • Is it worth the extra money to get the Qrevo maxV over the Qrevo S? ->https://www.smarthomeassistent.de/saugroboter/ Narwal robots and Roborock’s spinning mop robots have the easiest to clean mop washboard as they’re completely removable (the autoempty Narwal models have a disposable dustbin attachment to avoid cleaning it but I find that rather wasteful). The roborock base qrevo is already a pretty good robot as it’s pretty tangle resistant with an all rubber main brush. Roborock’s generally vacuum better than the Narwal but the Narwal has an antitangle conical rubber and bristle brush that works great with the smoothest obstacle avoidance for camera enabled models with the best smart clean mode. As for models, the narwal’s Freo Z ultra is at 549 euros. However it’s very water hungry and requires constant water tank refilling and emptying. This should be the most cost effective choice if you are mainly concerned with ease of maintenance.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for advice - Vacuum & mopping, ADHD-proof, pets, hard floors, stairs. ->If you want one with obstacle avoidance, the QX Revo Ultra will be the only choice (other than the QRevo MaxV) with an RGB camera.
r/Roborock • Best model sold at Costco.com? ->Q(X)revo is an excellent entry level active mopper. A huge upgrade to an S5. Welcome to the world of active scrubbing and autonomous washing with water management. You will enjoy it.
r/Roborock • Roborock QX Revo Robot Vacuum and Mop ->Dreame is for the lazy who are not willing to tidy their mess, lol. I guess you have been reading too much rant from WideCrab. Seriously, OA works well on most larger objects. It sucks on cords and small parts. It is dangerous to trust it if you have a risk for pet accidents. I even bought another old Q7Max without any OA after I already had a Qrevo MaxV. Guess why -- because I don't need the OA. The bumper does the job, better than some might imagine.
r/Roborock • Is the AI and obstacle avoidance really that bad? ->There hasn't been an update for months. I guess MaxV reached the end of software maintenance. Still, as long as your pets don't poo on the floor and you are willing to keep your charger cords away, it has a quite decent obstacle avoidance. To clarify a misconception, The MaxV camera does not contribute significantly to obstacle avoidance. It is there for object identification and classification. So it puts nice icons on your map and lets you look for your pets, that's it. The lower models Qrevo, S, Pro have a similar level ob obstacle avoidance even without a camera.
r/Roborock • Qrevo MaxV object avoidance - is it really better after updates? ->Check here, you can compare: https://redditrecs.com/robot-vacuum/ I think Roborock is the most reliable brand, so the Roborock q7 max+ should be great for your description. But since mopping is now 299$ it should be fine. But I have one with mopping and I never have mold, since most models clean and try themselves. So the Mova P10 pro seems to be a great Allrounder for around 320-400$. But Mova (and Dreame) seems less reliable and have often problems with carpets. Why I returned mine and bought the Roborock Qrevo MaxV (for 500$) You can often get cheaper Roborock QRevo models for around 400€.
r/RobotVacuums • First Time Robot Vacuum - Need Suggestions ->I over researched this and realized I dont need anything more than the qrevo maxV, if I got the Saros it wouldnt make a difference in day to day cleaning. Go with Costco and get that infinite warranty
r/Roborock • Which Roborocks are the best? ->Nope nope nope. I don't have this but I have a Qrevo Max V. We undated out internet to wifi7 and the robot doesn't work. We spilt out network. Did all the trouble shooting steps. Turned of the 5g network and still no joy. When I called roborock their response is that we need to contact our internet provider and roll back our home wifi to 2.4g so their unit works, not that their units are being updated to work with the new upgraded NBN being rolled out across Australia. Absolutely no future proofing at all. I will never get another one.
r/Roborock • Costco has the Saros Z70 now ->We have two roomba vacuums that work well but if your budget is $1000 I HIGHLY recommend the Roborock qrevo maxv (or whatever the non Costco equivalent is). It’s a mop/vacuum with a warm water wash station that has clean and dirty water containers so it washes the mop heads and continues to mop. It’s amazing! One of my favorite purchases ever.
r/workingmoms • What are the best robot vacuums currently that you've tried and found really effective for daily cleaning? ->I run it 3-5 x per week. I can’t rave about it enough. The dirty water tank is soooo dirty every time, even with just water. We have a dog too and she tracks in mud and it works perfectly to clean that up. And it’s super easy to clean, the filter tray comes out and the mop heads can be washed in the washer. I have multiple sets so I always have a clean set. It does a great job of navigating obstacles and the map it’s made is super comprehensive but I have a routine where I pick up all our rugs, our island chairs, ottomans, etc to make sure it’s super clean. But it’s not necessary to do that!
r/workingmoms • What are the best robot vacuums currently that you've tried and found really effective for daily cleaning? ->100%. I bought mine at full price but it was on sale recently!
r/workingmoms • What are the best robot vacuums currently that you've tried and found really effective for daily cleaning? ->Our Qrevo MaxV also.leaves streaking circurlar marks from its wheels and mop pads. Not sure how to deal with this issue yet.
r/Roborock • Should I Get a Roborock or Another Brand? I’m Lost ->I have the [QRevo MaxV ](https://us.roborock.com/products/roborock-qrevo-maxv) and it lifts the mop. When run on vacuum and mop, it vacuums carpets first without wet mops, then it mops. It lifts its mops when going over carpets. I love it and haven't had any damp carpets.
r/Roborock • Model that automatically avoids carpets when mopping? ->Do you have Costco? If you do, then you don’t have to worry about it lasting, the return policy will cover you. I bought a Revo from them, returned it for Revo MaxV when it cane out. That one had an error after a few months and I returned it for another. The MaxV is pretty tall though. They just started carrying this though: https://www.costco.com/.product.4000376184.html?NATAPP=SEARCH&COSTID=iosapp_25.6.1&sh=true&nf=true Retracting lidar, probably checks all the boxes for you.
r/Roborock • Should I drop $1800 on a robot vacuum or go cheaper? ->I got mine in August so it may have been already updated, but I never noticed much of a difference from my regular Revo. It still has a voracious appetite for wires if they are left on the ground
r/Roborock • Qrevo MaxV object avoidance - is it really better after updates? ->This won’t be any help to find what you’re looking for, but I just want to push back on your requirements. Auto mop washing is probably one of the most worthwhile features of any robot mop. The whole point is frequency of cleaning due to convenience, and manually removing and washing pads takes the automation right out of it. I would say, with you worrying about something going wrong with the auto washing system: the rotating mops have been so successful compared to vibrating partially because the washing system is so simple. Since the pads rotate on the robot itself, the dock doesn’t need moving parts to clean the mop. The pads simple rotate quickly on what is basically a fixed washboard and the dirty water is sucked out. Way simpler and therefore cheaper, hardly anything to break. Secondly, as far as bags go. Bagless in any form of vacuum is practically a gimmick. You always need something for air to flow through, and if you don’t have a bag, then you have a filter to clean or replace. And they tend to be much much messier to do so, and then the machines don’t last either because the dust gets everywhere inside the machine. If you don’t have pets, bags last a long time. It’s just my opinion but I think you’re really unnecessarily limiting yourself for nonissues. There’s a reason these features have become basically the standard, they work well and work reliably. If I were you I’d get one of the Roborock revos or similar and call it a day, it will be a much better experience overall. I had a Revo and then a MaxV and was happy with both.

r/RobotVacuums • Best Robot Vacuum without mop washing and preferably bagless? ->Are you saying you can use a $50 coupon at Costco? I just bought the Qrevo MaxV for $850 ($300 off) They’re also selling the QX Revo for $500 ($250 off)
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody looking to buy Black Friday? ->I went with the QRevo MaxV from Costco and so far haven’t had any of the issues that you mentioned. It’s an older model (relatively speaking) and it seems pretty solid. Only thing I’ve had to do is remap the house after we accidentally left the laundry room door open during a clean (one full step down level) and it saw into the room and tried to add it to the map. It confused it enough that we just deleted the map and remapped and now no issues again. Costco’s return policy is what made me pick one of the Roborock models they sell and I figure if it craps out I’ve got some insurance.
r/RobotVacuums • Roborock Saros 10R: very poor first impression + what's up with the general state of the robot vacuum market? ->I currently have the Roborock qrevo Max V: https://www.costco.com/.product.4000287009.html?NATAPP=SEARCH&COSTID=iosapp_25.6.1&TRACKING=NO&sh=true&nf=true I am considering upgrading to this new model I see on Costco’s website: https://www.costco.com/roborock-qx-revo-ultra-robot-vacuum-and-mop-with-18500-pa-hyperforce-and-multifunctional-dock-30.product.4000376184.html?sh=true&nf=true Does anybody know what the differences are? I assume the new, more expensive model is better but I am having trouble confirming that definitively when reviewing the specs.
r/Roborock • New QX Revo Ultra at Costco ->Roborock QRevo MaxV Happy!
r/homeassistant • What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today? ->Ok, I'll just make a list, forgive me if I'm wrong. **QX Revo:** `-Only Reactive Tech obstacle avoidance(worst obstacle avoidance of the 3)` `-No mop that extends to the edge of walls` `-No sweeping brush that extends to the edge of walls` `-Cold water mop washing` `-No AI smartplan` `-No pet finding features` `-No sensor in dock to find out how dirty the mop is` `-No anti tangle main brush and side brush` `-Normal laser sensor that can't retract to allow the robot to go under low furniture` **Qrevo MaxV:** `-ReactiveAI obstacle avoidance(uses a camera. mediocre, but works better than reactive tech)` `-Mop that extends to the edge of walls` `-No sweeping brush that extends to the edge of walls` `-Hot water mop washing` `-AI smartplan` `-Pet finding features` `-Sensor in dock to tell how dirty mop is` `-No anti tangle main brush and side brush` `-Normal laser sensor that can't retract to allow the robot to go under low furniture` **QX Revo ULTRA:** `-ReactiveAI 3.0 obstacle avoidance(supposed to be good, best out of the 3 vacuums here)` `-Mop that extends to the edge of walls` `-Sweeping brush that extends to the edge of walls` `-Even hotter mop washing than Qrevo MaxV` `-AI smartplan` `-Pet finding features` `-Sensor in dock to tell how dirty mop is` `-Anti tangle main brush and side brush` `-Retractable laser sensor that lowers the height of the robot to 3.14 in to let the robot go under low furniture` TL;DR the QX Revo has the least features out of the 3, lacking hot water mop washing, edge extending mop pads, camera based obstacle avoidance, pet finding features and a dirty water sensor in the dock, however it still washes and dries the mop. The Qrevo MaxV adds all of these features that I listed above, however its obstacle avoidance is apparently middling. The QX Revo Ultra takes all of the features from the MaxV, but adds hotter mop washing, anti tangle brushes, and better obstacle avoidance and a retractable laser sensor to let the robot go under lower furniture. Sorry for this extremely long and boring list to read, hope it helps though
r/Roborock • What’s the biggest difference? ->\+1 to that, had to remap my house almost monthly on a Deebot N8+, was a pain. Switched to a Roborock Q Revo MaxQ and have had a much better experience with it
r/homeassistant • Best automatic robot vacuum? ->Mine identifies cables successfully and then happily consumes them. It never, ever avoids them. On the upside, it's pushed me to do some much-needed cable management that I've been putting off for years.
r/Roborock • Qrevo MaxV object avoidance - is it really better after updates? ->If you are talking about the S8 MaxV the yes it has Reactive AI 2.0 however the Qrevo MaxV has Reactive AI. Edit: sorry I see you were talking about the S8 MaxV
r/Roborock • Best robo vacuum under 1500 ->Qrevo master. Currently on sale and is AMAZING. I’ve always had Roombas and just sent our last one back to try out the qrevo maxv (paid $650 for refurbished)—loved it but sent it back since master was on sale brand new for 799. MaxV for $650 or new Master for $799 and you’ll be thrilled with either
r/Roborock • Our first robot vacuum: Roborock Qrevo S or ECOVACS T20 Omni or Dreame L10s Ultra ->Not sure why you’re not sold on the mopping part. The mopping is great on my Qrevo MaxV
r/Roborock • What is the best model for just vacuuming? ->Unfortunately, I have explained my reasons for the following statements 100 times to so very many people who are always asking the same question. Unfortunately, I just don't have time to type it all out again right now. I am sorry! Here is the best I can do for now: Take a good long look at a Roborock Qrevo Master. It has excellent vacuuming and mopping ability and a nicely automated dock that will not disappoint you. What it skips are all the gimics that cost a lot of money but do not contribute to a cleaner home. It is currently going for $800. You will love it! I cannot recommend any other model in the Qrevo lineup right now because of what comes next. Avoid anything with a auto detangling rollers. None of them from any manufacturer vacuum clean very well. The older style dual counter rotating rollers do need about two minutes per week of maintenance, but they vacuum clean so very much better!!! Don't buy into high pascal suction numbers. It is pure marketing hype! Airflow is what counts. It is what moves debris kicked up by the rollers into the dustbin. Good airflow means poor vacuum pressure, or much lower pascal suction numbers. It also means much better vacuuming ability. Anything with auto detanglers has bad airflow. Airflow and good rollers are key! I hope this helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum and mop ->Very few manufacturers publish airflow measurements. Because of marketing hype, everyone looks at pascal vacuum pressure. People want high pascal numbers and manufacturers deliver them. Hopefully, this will change as more people catch on to this nonsense. All I can offer is my experience. The parts inside a robovac are all very similar or exactly the same no matter which company manufacturs it. They are off-the-shelf components made by third party companies. Manufacturers buy and install them in their products. That is why one can find the exact same parts in robovacs from many different manufacturers. Super thin robovacs tend to have poor airflow. They have to accommodate the same parts as larger robovacs in less space. This leaves less room for a nice, wide open, efficient channel for debris kicked up by the rollers to be moved into the dustbin by airflow. If a robovac uses auto detangling rollers instead of solid single or double rollers, the odds are very good that it has poor airflow. Auto detangling rollers also do not usually kick up debris nearly as well as dual counter rotating rollers. For the best vacuuming ability, the previous generation of robovacs tend to perform better than the most recent models in the area of vacuuming ability only. High pascal suction pressure numbers usually mean poor airflow. The easiest way to get high vacuum pressure, measured in pascals, is to restrict the airflow. Robovacs use about the same fan motors for vacuuming. They are difficult to improve. People want high pascal numbers, no better fans can be found, so manufacturers have only one option. They have to restrict airflow to give people the high pascal numbers they are looking for and ultimately buy. This is capitalism in action. About 5000Pa is plenty of vacuum pressure for excellent vacuuming. For the best chances of getting good vacuuming ability, pick a robovac with dual counter rotating solid rubber rollers that is not super thin. Look for pascal numbers that are reasonable. I would look for 5000 to 6000 pascals, but with the race for high pascal numbers, 10000Pa might still be ok. The robovacs with the best mopping ability usually only come with auto detangling rollers. There are some exceptions. The robovacs with the best vacuuming ability tend to use pad style or vibrating pad mopping systems. Automatic docks do not handle these mops nearly as well as the more modern dual rear spinning mops. For the best automatic washing and drying, pick dual rear spinning mops. Pad style and spinning mop models typically mop about the same. The robovacs with the best vacuuming ability tend to be from the previous two generations of robovacs rather than the newest, latest, greatest models. Everyone wants the best, most perfect, super miraculous robovac. This does not exist!!! Not even the super fancy, super expensive models are anywhere close to perfect! Every single robovac currently available from any manufacturer is a very simple, very primitive device. Robovacs have very little computing power. There are just barely enough smarts in a robovac to get the job done under simple conditions. Expecting anything more or anything else will leave you disappointed. Every robovac requires significant compromises. You will not get the machine of your fantasies no matter how much you research this topic or how much you spend. It will have strengths and weaknesses. Every single robovac requires maintenance! No matter how much it costs or how automatic it is, you still need to maintain and clean it if you want your robovac to perform properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How well your robovac works in the long run also depends on how well you take advantage of your robovac's stenghts, how well you overcome its weaknesses, how well you adapt your home to the robovac (the other way around does not work well), and how well you maintain and clean your robovac. This is just my opinion. There are many other considerations involved in picking a robovac. I am mostly only talking about vacuuming ability based on my experience repairing robovacs. Everyone has to make their own choice.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum and mop ->The Qrevo MaxV is a very good choice. It uses the vacuuming module of the S7 which uses a single solid rubber roller. It will do a very good job vacuuming. Personally, I would still choose a Qrevo Master with dual counter rotating rollers because they are still better at kicking up debris than a single roller, especialky on rugs and carpets. But the Qrevo MaxV is a very good choice! I completely understand the desire to spend less money!!! Here are a few things to know about either model: About once per week, you will have to flip your robovac on its back, remove the rollers, pull off their ends and remove the wound up hair that collects around them. The hair slides right off. This is a very quick and easy task that takes two minutes or less with practice. Robovacs with auto detangling rollers that eliminate this little maintenance task will not vacuum nearly as well as the ones we are talking about here. The two minute weekly maintenance task is the cost of good vacuum cleaning. As soon as you buy your new robovac, no matter which model you choose, go on Amazon and order at least one spare air filter for it right away! You will need it very, very soon! Use your two air filters in rotation. At least once per week, remove the air filter from your dustbin. Rinse it well from both sides under hot tap water. Sometimes a small, medium bristled nylon brush helps get the fuzz, hair and dirt out of the air filter while you are rinsing it. Be very gentle with the brush. Set your wet air filter aside to dry for at least 48 hours. Never put a damp air filter back in your robovac! Put a clean, dry air filter into your dustbin and you are all ready to go. The next time, you swap them back again. Avoid vacuuming with your robovac when there is any water on your floors. It will get sucked up, combine with dust and make a mess out of the inside of your robovac under your rollers. Fortunately, if this happens, it is very easy to clean out with a damp sponge or rag. More importantly, sucked up water will combine with dust to form mud that will quickly clog your air filter. This will severely impact its vacuuming ability very quickly. Fortunately, I already described what to do about this above. All of this stuff is super quick and easy to do, and you will figure it all out very soon! I spend just a couple of minutes on each of my robovacss for maintenance each week. In exchange, they save me hours of effort. I hope this helps! I think you have two very good choices that will serve you well no matter which one you choose! Good luck! Please stop by again and tell me how everything works out! I would love to hear about your results! Happy robovacing!!!
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum and mop ->Just keep in mind that I am not familiar with every model available. Who can be? I just have not been impressed with the vacuuming ability of anything with high pascal numbers and auto detangling rollers so far, and I have seen about two dozen different models. However, most models with solid rubber rollers, either one or two of them, do not have super high pascal numbers and do vacuum very well. I just have a strong preference for dual counter rotating rollers because they kick up debris very well. The single solid rubber roller models are often very good at this also. I hope this helps!
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum and mop ->Whilst I agree I would add a... But. Yes, but valetudo is often a long way behind on the release schedule when it comes to new robots coming to the market and depending on the model/brand you choose based on what robot vacuum functions are important to you will definitely depend on how difficult the installation of valetudo can be. Choosing a vaccum purely because it can be made local with valetudo can will almost certainly mean you're going to trade off something due to either what models are able to be cracked at the time of your purchase or how difficult it is to crack said model that you like. As someone who hand on heart prefers ***EVERYTHING*** to be bloody local. I wouldn't trade off the cleaning ability that my Q-revo max has for my dog's hair (and the mop functionality) simply to get something older that doesn't do as good of a job. I'm just holding out hope that a valetudo version ***will*** come eventually and in the mean time I'll have the cleanest house that I need.
r/homeassistant • What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today? ->The mops lift but chassis doesn't İ have a max (no adaptive lifting) and it does fine with high pile carpets
r/Roborock • Best roborock vacuum for the value. ->what do you mean? As in they can do them, but terribly, or physically cant do corners? The MaxV has the mop flexiarm, the curve and the qrevo ultra has the side brush and mop flexiarm.
r/Roborock • Which Roborock model to buy from Costco ? ->It's got 5 vacuum power settings. Have you tried maxv?
r/Roborock • Not enjoying the roborock Qrevo Edge. ->My just the vacuum tab has an extra option. Also just the mop function has an extra setting for routing. I find it better to run vacuum first then to run mop separately
r/Roborock • Not enjoying the roborock Qrevo Edge. ->Roborock maxv is good. L40 Ultra if you can find if for 475 usd deal is a steal. I have the L40 U. It's amazing. It can detect poop easily. Tested in my house with my cats. But be aware no robo vac is 100% safe for this. Yet
r/Roborock • Robo vacuum worth it? ->It's my first robo vac for me it costed 850 euros 3 months ago. I did spec compared it. A friend bought the maxv they are also happy with it but it's more expensive here. It does hot water mop washing at the base station, hot air drying. Mop extend, arm extend and LDS lidar, light 3d sensor etc. 11k suction. I turned of carpet boost. It kinda damaged my patch work animal post carpets lmao too strong. I have two cats, mopping is very good house is spotless Roborock has a different mopping system. You can get tricut brush for dreame too. Definitely check other options L40 Ultra doesn't have water spill detection featuee and can't detect water bowls for pets (must set no go zones for them)
r/Roborock • Robo vacuum worth it? ->I got the MaxV at Costco a few months ago and love it. Have all hardwood floors with 1 area rug and does a great job. This is with 1 cat and one drooling toddler.
r/Roborock • What’s the biggest difference? ->I got the MaxV from Costco and couldn’t be happier. We have all hardwood floors with 1 area rug, 2 young kids and a cat. Does a great job!
r/Roborock • Which Roborock model to buy from Costco ? ->My Roborock quervo that I got two weeks ago has been incredible. We had a shark matrix because it didn’t have bags, but made a compromise to upgrade. It is like watching a Zamboni drive across the floor when it is mopping.
r/RobotVacuums • Best self emptying robot vacuum? ->Roborock Qrevo is expensive but works very well. We have two long-haired dogs who can shed a third dog before noon. The Qrevo sweeps and mops. We usually run it in the morning and again in the evening.
r/Appliances • What do you think are the best robot vacuums available now? Do they work better than traditional cleaning methods? ->I'm using Roborock Qrevo right now. The price is budget-friendly, and the integration is native (support local based on the document).
r/homeassistant • What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today? ->We have a q revo and it’s great
r/homeautomation • Wife says it's time, what's the best robot vacuum? ->I have a Q Revo and it does an ok job but yeah it's not up to the level of a mop, or even a hard floor cleaner. And these things are also ridiculously expensive to buy the latest and greatest. It does a fine job running daily to keep the floors clean, cleaner than just a vacuum. But I have a very drooly dog that leaves spots on the floor and it won't scrub those up, I have to break out a floor cleaner for that. It does better than my old roomba though, it almost never gets caught on or tangled in anything and mostly drives around any obstacles fine. Was it worth it? Probably not for the price I paid. Right now though you can get a Q Revo for $479 which I think would be worth it. So I maybe might advise buying the last gen at a discount rather than the latest and greatest and still plan on having to manually clean from time to time. Really depends on your needs of course, if you are a clean person living alone then you might rarely have spots that the robot won't get.
r/Roborock • people say robo mops aren’t advanced enough yet. do you agree? ->I have a Roborock Q revo and I'm loving it :)
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? ->Same, and it has been worth every penny for us!
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? ->I bought the Dreame X40 Ultra. Same features, but cheaper. I also own a Q Revo and a Dreame L10S Ultra. The Q Revo has had a lot of issues in the year I've owned it. The L10S is still going strong, so the X40 was the obvious choice for me.
r/Roborock • Any alternatives for the QRevo Curv, or is it worth the splurge? ->I had one of the higher end Sharks, can't remember the model, and I thought I liked it. It touted laser mapping, advanced schedules, etc. But then I got the Roborock Q Revo and it absolutely blew me away; made me realize how shitty the Shark was. At every level it's better: primarily it cleans way better, but also the app is better, it's actually easy to get replacement parts, and a ton of minor things that make it feel polished, like the robot will announce on its own device speaker what's happening, like why it got stuck or why it's returning to a dock. Contrast this with a few friends of mine that have even worse vacuums than the Shark: theirs get stuck all the time, can't find their way home to the dock, they end up not using it at all. Long story short, based on my experience it's absolutely worth spending good money to get a good robot vacuum.
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? ->I have a Roborock Q Revo in our 2 adult household and love it. I sweep out the corners occasionally since a round vacuum obviously can’t get into a 90 degree corner, but I don’t have to vacuum or mop anymore unless I just want to. My MIL also bought the same model, and they have three dogs in their home. One of whole sheds A LOT. He’s a corgi/lab mix and blows coat like a dandelion. It keeps up with all their hair, just needs more frequent dust bag replacements. It is so worth buying the right kind and getting a quality robot vacuum/mop. The cheap ones simply aren’t worth it. My father has a roomba (to excuse himself from ever actually cleaning) and it is awful. It will run over the same piece of hair multiple times without picking it up and then straight up avoid a certain dirty spot on the floor repeatedly. It runs on a random track of going until it bumps into something and then goes a different direction. He has also had problems with the batteries crapping out constantly and needing replaced because the capacity deteriorates so badly. The Roborock goes in a pattern; first does a perimeter sweep then goes in a grid pattern of vertical then horizontal rows. The Roborock takes floor plans of your house so you can select individual rooms for cleaning. There is a spot cleaning feature as well where you can drop a box to enclose a specific area that needs cleaned. You can set up scheduled for it to keep your house maintained and ignore it beyond weekly maintenance. I dump dirty water, fill the clean water, and wash mop heads once a week. I love it and would never buy anything else. Especially a Roomba.
r/Apartmentliving • What are the best robot vacuums you've tried - Do they really keep the apartment clean everyday? ->Got the same one, for 400€ it's great! Navigation is awesome but it indeed just won't detect cables… The ones that can automatically search for your pet and allow you to see it while further controlling the robot remotely are pretty cool, but it's not really a big deal to not have that feature.
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? ->Agreed, it's awesome! Mopping great if you have any wood. Only downside to the more expensive ones is the lack of camera to detect cords, which isn't a huge deal.
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? ->/agree My Q Revo eats them. I just make sure to clear the floor before the task runs and it's all good. Actually got me into the habit of cleaning up on a regular basis rather than leaving a mess for a big monthly cleanup which I dreaded to do lol
r/Roborock • Which model will avoid cables on floor? ->I bought a new roborock qrevo with mop function last year from Costco and we used nightly (have a messy toddler) and the lidar stopped working after 6 months. Emptying the dirty mop wear container was also terrible as it smelled terrible! The auto empty would also jam regularly. My parents have an old roborock s3 I believe that’s 7-8 years old. It was one of the first ones with a mop function and they never use the mop function. There’s works great. So I’m not sure if the mop function really does work for longevity purposes.
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Robot Vacuum that Acutally Lasts? ->Hey all! I'd like to formally introduce myself. My name is Justin, and I'm a Robot Vacuum tester at RTINGS. I've tested 30+ robot vacuums since my career started here, and have learned so much from research, testing, and this Subreddit specifically. Some of you might have seen me on here making some personal recommendations in some of the posts in this Subreddit, but Prime Day is a great time to provide some insight on making a decision, since the market is currently overwhelming. **These recommendations are based on products we've bought and tested ourselves**, since we do not accept review or sample units from manufacturers. **I also wanted to disclose that we do make money from affiliate links and ads on our website**, so I will not be providing any links to our reviews. **First step** is to not panic. Figure out the needs of your space, your expectations, and your budget. Write them down and try to narrow it down to maximum 2-3 options. **General expectations** for all robots based on what I've seen and my personal opinion/experience: * **They will not replace your regular vacuum and mop for deep cleaning**, but they will extend the time between your deep cleanings. * **Obstacle avoidance is not that big of a deal if you don't have kids or pets.** Tidy up loose objects on the floor, tuck away cables, and set no-go zones, and you'll usually be good to go. * **You likely don't need to run it everywhere, every day.** Consider your needs and strategize. Use manual configurations, schedules, and spot cleanings over the built-in AI systems to tailor it to your needs. * **They usually always get hair stuck somewhere, especially long hair.** I have yet to meet a robot that has not gotten hair stuck with our standard 2.5g of long hair. That being said, some are better at it than others. * **The maintenance for the mops/water tanks is very frequent**, but saves more time overall. The general maintenance is usually quick overall, though. * **Recurring costs are generally higher and more frequent than regular vacuums.** You can try third party options for brush rollers, but we usually don't test that. * **Even premium models usually have seal problems** **and do not filter as well as standard vacuums with better HEPA/S-Class Filters.** If you have allergies, most of the robots will shoot allergens back up into the air. Consider an air purifier if you really want one. (The Levoit Vital 200s is great and on sale too) * **Advertised suction is usually not helpful or representative of pickup performance**. The Roborock S7 Max V is a great example of a robot with low advertised suction (5100 Pa) that still remains competitive in hard floor pickup performance to this day. * **Be vigilant of defects, especially on new models.** Brands are pumping out models faster than we can think. In my opinions, there are bound to be quality issues. If you see something wrong, exchange it or go with an older model that has proven reliability. * **Sales will come back. Often. Black friday is right around the corner.** Don't impulse buy just cause of a big sales event. **Dreame L10s Ultra/Pro Ultra ($299 USD/$479 CAD - $399USD/$499CAD) - Best Introduction Robot for Small Spaces** with mostly hard floor. * Decent hard floor performance, fully featured dock, great obstacle avoidance, decent mopping, upgradeable for carpets with the Tri-Cut Brush. * Mid battery-life, cold water and cold air drying (pro version adds heat), have seen complaints of poor customer service from Dreame. Uncertain about long term reliability. * At this price, you really can't go wrong if you just want something to help with day to day cleaning. **Roborock Qrevo Series ($399 USD/$549 CAD)** \- **Best Budget for hard floors** * Great hard floor pickup and navigation. Mid-on carpets. Bad at removing pet hair from carpets. * Awful obstacle avoidance. Decent Mopping * Roborock seems to have a better reputation for reliability. (Based on comments in this Subreddit) **Roborock S8 Max V ($1099USD/$1199CAD)** \- **Best For Carpet and Pet Hair** * Good all around pickup, excels on carpet thanks to its dual rollers. Corner coverage. * Expect hair tangles in the edges of the brush rollers. * Mid mopping performance, so you might have to manually clean hard stains. * Decent Obstacle avoidance, but not the best. * Older flagship. **Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni** (**$799 USD/ $1199CAD) - Best Mopping** (Not published yet on our website, but we've tested it) * Great hard floor pickup, decent carpet pickup. Okay, at removing pet hair from carpets. * Okay obstacle avoidance on hard floor, bad on carpet. * Excellent mopping. * Unsure of Ecovacs reliability and app experience, as I've seen complaints on this Subreddit before. * Currently borrowing this model, and I'm really impressed with it. I have not experienced any dock leaking, but this is something that I've seen brought up for other roller mop models. **Roborock Saros 10R ($1199USD) - Best overall for most people** * Excellent hard floor cleaning. Decent carpet cleaning. Struggles with pet hair on carpet. Good for mopping. * Excellent hard floor obstacle avoidance, bad carpet obstacle avoidance. * Excellent maneuverability. Slim body allows it to get underneath furniture as low as 3.1" (8 cm). Can also climb thresholds up to 1.5" (3.8cm) in our tests. * Not available in Canada. **Popular Models I'd avoid, but doesn't mean they wouldn't be the best option for you:** * **Dreame X50 Ultra:** It's dual rollers struggle with hard floor pickup more than the dual rollers on the S8 Max V. I also borrowed it for a month to test it in my home, and it would leave clumps of debris everywhere, especially near thresholds. This is based on our testing and my subjective opinion, but it was a miss for me. * **Dreame L40 Ultra:** Controversial, I know, but I was also underwhelmed with its hard floor pickup performance, especially with finer debris. It's decent for carpet, though, and might perform better with the Tri-cut brush. It also scored worse in obstacle avoidance than the Dreame L10s Ultra, which is bizarre since it released 2 years after it. This is another model I borrowed, and was not satisfied with it's cleaning performance in my mostly hard floor apartment. * **Eufy x10 Pro Omni:** It was one of the vacuums I had the most trouble testing due to navigation issues and app issues. Its pickup performance was also pretty poor on carpet, and just okay on hard floor. * **Dyson VisNav 360:** Great potential, but flawed execution and use of old tech make it a bad purchase in my opinion. This thing packed a punch and was excellent at picking up stuff it went over, but the problem was it would frequently miss areas and get lost/confused. * **Shark robot vacuums:** Some of them are good for pickup, but their built quality, navigation issues, and bare-bones app makes question their value. Honorable mentions: * **MOVA P10 Pro:** Best obstacle avoidance in our test out of every single model. Good hard floor pickup, mid carpet pickup, okay mopping. Comments in this Subreddit have mentioned MOVA's manufacturing quality and customer service are question. We had to return our first unit because the dock was non-functional, but the second unit works well. Let me know if you have any questions about my recommendations, and hope this helps out! Edit: I will only be responding while I'm at work, so expect a delay of 24hr for a response. Also added 2 expectations.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester ->I also purchased one of these and have been happy with it. Does a great job. I recommend watching vacuum wars on YouTube. He purchases every single robot vacuum and tests them all.
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? ->Object detection, specifically the smallest. I have cat toys that hang around everywhere and regularly my Q Revo blocks on it. Having to put them away before launching the robot and the only reason why I don't start it without my presence.
r/RobotVacuums • If I review the new MOVA Z60 Ultra, what would you guys like to see? ->https://preview.redd.it/2w2l7dxj1jnf1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=88941129b262c818832df678b4a605fc485c3212 This is the worst nightmare for my Q Revo.
r/RobotVacuums • If I review the new MOVA Z60 Ultra, what would you guys like to see? ->To really get value out of a robotic vacuum the key is to not buy the cheapest or second cheapest option. Get a vacuum with radar or LiDAR with room mapping. I have a Roborock QRevo with the mop option and I really, really like it. I’m able to map rooms, even on different floors, control both vacuum and mopping levels, and easily fence off areas and objects including setting up custom cleaning routines for a room or multiple rooms. Whereas I also have the base model Roomba and it only vacuums and crashes about my house like a drunken fool. It has very limited radar sense and relies on bumpers to “feel” its way around. I’m not saying no to the Roomba brand only that a cheap base model of any brand has big drawbacks. You can often find really good deals for Roborock on Amazon. Just use camel camel camel to price watch and alert you.
r/smarthome • What is the Best Robot Vacuum that Homeowners absolutely love and recommend? ->I absolutely love my Q Revo. I bought it with intentions of it being supported by Valetudo, but honestly… the app works, the HA integration works. I have a geofence that runs the full vac/mop when I leave in AM thru HA. I trigger a night mop of kitchen at 1am via HA. I have automations that notify on the TV when the buckets need to be filled/dumped. I’m planning to 3D print replacement buckets with auto fill and dump — this is my only issue… needs that water and dumping based on size of house and how often you run the mop.
r/homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop IYO? Is it really worth its expensive price tag you paid? ->If I were buying today, I would focus on one that fills/dumps the water automatically. I have the Roborock Q Revo and it is solid… I just have to dump/fill the tanks after about three mops. I’ve got all the parts in my Amazon cart to automate this. My hesitancy has been about how much automation/metering do I want and how much safety net do I want!!
r/homeassistant • What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today? ->This is cool, but I'm not sure how useful it is. Maybe instead of simply positive or negative, it could drill down into more specific, e.g. "Good for pets?", "Good for carpets", "Easy to maintain", "Easy to use app" etc. For example, the obstacle avoidance in the Q Revo which has the highest rating here is pretty terrible. It will easily drive through pet waste spreading it all over your home and basically destroying the robot. I have two Q Revos, but no pets :)
r/CleaningTips • I analyzed the 25 most recommended robot vacuums on Reddit ->The Q Revo S is on sale currently for $549 vacuums, mops, and the base empties mops and dries. Pretty much the best you can get for the money.
r/RobotVacuums • I’m on a tight budget but want a decent robotic vacuum that can mop ->A robovac, especially if it mops, is going to need more maintenance than a regular vacuum. How often do you or your spouse go over there? How much stuff do your p-I-ls leave laying around on the ground? Do they seem interested? Have you shown them videos? Even with a base station that cleans the mop pads, you still need to launder them as well as fill the clean water tank, empty the dirty one, and check the base dust bag. You also need to check and clean the vacuum itself once a month or so for hair or debris. It’s kind of like owning a less annoying pet. I really like my Roborock Q Revos. They’ve been super reliable.
r/RobotVacuums • Anyone have a robovac they'd recommend for elderly users? ->TLDR: this sounds like a giant pain and very inconvenient, but you could do it. Most brands on technically support 1 home. But roborocks support up to 4 floors, I think so you could have each house be a different floor. Honestly, before committing to driving your vacuum all around try just having one to share between your floors. These things work best as “set it and forget it”. I ended up getting a refurb Q5 for my basement because over time it was less hassle than remembering to move my Q Revo from the first floor to the basement to run it. Additionally, you will vacuum more if you just set a schedule and have it run automatically.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vaccuum for 2 small houses ->Hi all, I’d like to know, is the Reactive AI (with rgb camera) actually much better than ReactiveTech? At the moment I have a Q Revo and it’s quite good, it is able to avoid most of the the objects in my house. But it struggles particularly with “low and flat“ objects. In particular this one, which is similar to a U shaped chair: https://preview.redd.it/suvutwjl6wne1.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f064284593fd32eeb31bffbcf7a05b6278d1d89 He tries to climb over, got stuck, then turns back and so on, a mess… Do you think Reactive AI robots like Curv, Edge, Slim or the new Saros could handle this? Can they recognize the obstacle (taking a photo) and maybe you can tell the robot to avoid it at all?
r/Roborock • ReactiveTech vs Reactive AI - Obstacle Avoidance ->Q Revo has the spinning mop pads and lifts them automatically during carpet cleaning.
r/Roborock • Best roborock vacuum for the value. ->So I bought a q revo and dreame l10s and compared them directly and ended up keeping the l10s because it seems to do a better job of mopping (and is willing to mop in skinnier areas of my hard floor around rugs). I don't mind the worse app with dreame, it's completely usable and reliable, just with weird translations. I genuinely like the roborock carpets first feature but I don't miss it with scheduling. If you can afford the l40 ultra, that's what I would buy for the best features (hot water mop washing, self cleaning washboard, water turbidity sensor, mop extend & lifting brush, hair cutting roller). How much more expensive are the premier q revo models in your area (the master, slim, edge, curv)? If theyre the same price (or you can afford the slight increase) I'd get those for the best of both worlds: premier features and the superior roborock app.
r/RobotVacuums • HELP! Getting decision fatigue on all the choices and mixed reviews ->I told everyone I know about my Q Revo I bought last year. “$600!? On a vacuum!?” It literally vacuums and mops every day while I’m at work. The dust piling up from my lazy ass not cleaning once a week is gone. The pockets of fur from my chihuahua is gone.
r/RobotVacuums • My wife is no longer complaining about how much I spent on the robot vacuum ->Dang. I have the regular Roborock Qrevo from 2023 and it doesn't look like it will get it.
r/HomeKit • These Robot Vacuums have native Matter support ->Hopefully they will include it. I'm not going to buy a whole new one if they don't, but it would be a shame if they don't support it since it's not very old.
r/HomeKit • These Robot Vacuums have native Matter support ->Our Roborock Qrevo vacuum/mop is still going strong after years and the pet hair don't faze it at all. I only ever heard bad things about iRobot and Shark
r/CleaningTips • I'm about to check myself in a mental institution ->We have a Roborock that is about 2-3 years old now. QRevo 1st gen. Works great and keeps the hair/fur down to a minimum.
r/CleaningTips • I'm about to check myself in a mental institution ->I have a robo vacuum(roborock qvero) which runs 2 times a week. Additionally I have a light weight cordless vacuum to cover delta between those days. It stays pretty clean with above effort.
r/goldenretrievers • Really considering getting a golden retriever after my 12 and 16 yr old dogs passed. How do you deal with the shedding with their long hair? ->If you do compare feature on vacum wars web site You can see which has matter Recommend a robo rock qrevo for auto mation Eco vac t50 pro Omni is $600 n does matter n has mop n vac but I dint like the navigation so went back to robo rock qrevo s5a But robo rock is more $. Bout $850 You get what you pay for
r/HomeKit • Top robot vacuum? Unsure if I want mop capabilities. Must be HomeKit/matter compatible. ->I'm not sure what is actively considered a top vacuum but something I've learned the hard way is to make sure the robot has a setting to empty the dustbin periodically or else it will go through a whole run, then try to empty the dustbin and the charging station will get clogged trying to suck the large clump of hair into the dust bag. I have a qrevo and really love the robot but the fact roborock doesn't currently have an option to empty the dustbin every 100 sqft or so, means that I have had to set up separate schedules for each room so it goes back to the dock to empty the dustbin between each room. It's frustrating.
r/RobotVacuums • What’s the Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair? ->Totally. Yeah I also hoped they'd update the app to add that but I've had the robot since it first came out a little over a year ago and it doesn't have that yet so unsure if they will ever add that.
r/RobotVacuums • What’s the Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair? ->Also owning an OG QRevo. The mop cleaning is noisy enough through doors and we have a decent difference in floor height between rooms that always takes it a few attempts to lift itself over. Not mentioning emptying the bin at the end of a cycle. It’s a decent machine. Will continue to use it till it breaks down permanently (wasn’t an inexpensive purchase for us).
r/oddlysatisfying • Cleaning up the mess ->The Roborock is a big hit, it's also very quiet (under the 65 dB mark). Also check out the Eufy on this list for under $500.... [https://www.soundproofgenius.com/get-a-quiet-robot-vacuum/](https://www.soundproofgenius.com/get-a-quiet-robot-vacuum/)
r/workingmoms • Seeking the best Robot Vacuum Cleaners Under $500 ->Of these, the worst mopping will be the Q5 and Q8 robots, which just have stationary pads attached to the back. The S8 also has a pad attached to the back, but includes a scrubbing motion via a plate that vibrates at a high speed. It's better than the Q5 and Q8. The best mopping will be on the Qrevo and Eufy X10. They have spinning mop pads, a dock which refills the water tank on the robot from its own water tank, and also cleans the pads automatically and stores the dirty water in another tank on the dock. Of the last two, each has its strengths and weaknesses. The X10 will be better at obstacle avoidance. The Qrevo is a Roborock, which has a better reputation for quality and reliability than the Eufy, and is also rated a little better than the Eufy at a lot of things: vacuuming performance, mopping performance, etc. It also can swing out one of its mop pads for better edge and corner cleaning, something the Eufy can't do. In some cases, obstacle avoidance is really critical, in which case I'd recommend the Eufy. Otherwise, the Qrevo is likely your best bet.
r/RobotVacuums • Home Depot sale. Are these a good buy? ->So an unknown brand just came out with a fairly pedestrian robot with stationary-pad mopping, and it has a higher rating than some of the highest-regarded robots on the market? Nope. If you really need mopping on a budget, take a look at the Dreame D10+, Eufy L60 Hybrid, or one of the Roborock Q series robots. For a big improvement in mopping for not much more money, look at the Eufy C20 or Dreame L10s Ultra series. Mova can be good, if they've solved their problem with fragile front wheels. If you don't care about mopping, look at the Eufy L60 SES or SwitchBot K10+.
r/RobotVacuums • Airzeen Q10 Pro Saug - Fake Reviews? ->I was in the same boat, but with Black Friday sales both the roborock qrevo (refurbished)and dreame l10s ultra (new) are available for $359. For that price it’s hard to justify spending 2-3x as much for a few extra features which don’t seem to make a huge difference in the actual functionality of the product. I bought a l10s ultra and hope to not think about it again for at least a couple years.
r/RobotVacuums • So many mixed reviews, the more I read the less I feel I know!
r/nederlands • Robotstofzuiger ->Any guesses on MSRP for the Z1? I have 2 acres and probably 1.4 acres of it to mow. I have a 60" commerical Exmark mower but I'm getting more sick of mowing by the year and yard companies want $200/week to do it, so that is a hard pass. I already have two Roborock vacs (S7 Max Ultra and Q-Revo) and have been fairly happy with them, so this would be a nice addition if the price isn't like Yarbo's pricing structure.
r/gadgets • Roborock graduates from vacuuming your house to mowing your lawn ->I’m a year in and don’t know what I’d do if you took away the Q-Revo’s mopping
r/Roborock • people say robo mops aren’t advanced enough yet. do you agree?
->Second this. Is it under $500 though? I paid $1200 when it was new...
r/homeassistant • Robot Vacuums Under $500: Are They Worth It ->Sheesh, I got robbed lmao I love mine though, so no complaints
r/homeassistant • Robot Vacuums Under $500: Are They Worth It ->I have a roborock revo with a dock. The thing I don't like it that there is no setting for "go empty in the dock after x minutes" like there is for the mop. So to deal with this, I created a routine for each room individually. It then empty after each rooms. Do that once a day, and no clogs.
r/greatpyrenees • Do you guys have any robot vacuum success stories?! Or bad ones? ->I use my Roborock Revo a great deal. I vacuum twice as much as the mop function.
r/RobotVacuums • Robot vacuums - are they worth it ? Do you use yours? ->Exactly what I meant thank you for saying it for me. That’s why I own an.x40, and threw my revo in the trash. I was referring to roborocks obstacle avoidance
r/Roborock • Roborock Obstacle Avoidance Sucks ->+1 for Roborock, the q revo series with the spinning mops and auto docks have been amazing for me. There have a few different models so I'd compare them all but we have the slim and the master and love them both. They often go on sale - I got each of them for 1k or less. I had the s7+ and the mopping was disappointing. I'd avoid any simple dragging mops.
r/homeautomation • Wife says it's time, what's the best robot vacuum? ->I disagree. Got a roborock q revo with vac and mop, also with a station that washes and dries the mops and it is very good and helpful.
r/RobotVacuums • Wirecutter says don't get a robot vacuum-mop combo. Do you agree? ->Trust me you don’t need to drop $1800 on a robot vacuum. Any decent flagship Roborock will do, S8s or one of the higher end Q Revos. Saros is great but again you don’t really need them. Would avoid the other ones.
r/Roborock • Should I drop $1800 on a robot vacuum or go cheaper? ->Hmm. I have. Q Revo OG and am pretty happy, but am being tempted by the Q Revo EdgeC. It sounds great but your comment has made me worried.
r/RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum and mop ->Yes! Don’t get the Curv plus it’s cheaply built and ugly. The S8 MaxV has premium materials. They are all plastic but the Curv and Q series feel flimsy.
r/Roborock • Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Review from a 7-Cat Household ->You might not be happy with the build quality of the lower end series like the Q. Stick with Premium. I would get the S series or Saros. The Q series feels very cheap compared to the S plus it can handle the hair NP. It’s a more attractive unit too unless you like a shiny egg that looks like it came out of an 80s movie. lol
r/Roborock • Upgrading from Roborock S6 MaxV – Best Model for Pet Hair? ->The comment about robot vacuums only being for small places is probably based on the old random pattern robots. Most robots now map and do well in large houses. It sounds like most mapping robots would work for you, since you don't want mopping, have hardfloors, and no pets. So anything with lidar (prefered) or vslam navigation. Obstacle avoidance might be a useful feature for cords, shoes, toys etc. left on the ground. It might be worth looking into a Eufy L60, iRobot Roomba j series, Roborock Q series, or shark. I'm biased because I have three robot vacs (Roborock S6, Ecovacs x1 omni, and iRobot Roomba j5+ combo) and my roomba j5+ is the only one that is reliable and working at the moment
r/RobotVacuums • I'm searching for my first robot vacuum under a budget! ->I saw recommendations for the Roborock vacuums. Having used it for 2 days, it's been solid, and the new Q-series does seem to work well with the native homeassistant plugin.
r/homeassistant • Robot vacuum recommendation ->I also have the mopping Roborock and love it. We have 1 dog and 12 foster cats so daily sweeping and mopping is a necessity. It won’t save op money though I think it was $700. As long as the toys are picked up the only issue it occasionally has is with my really long hair getting wrapped around the rollers.
r/dogs • Is a Roomba-like vacuum worth it for dogs? I need to be de-influenced for my wallets sake ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
