I personally went with one of the models without an RGB camera specifically for this reason. I have a QRevo Pro and it does everything the other options with cameras can do.
I have two Qrevo Pros with self-emptying/mop filling docks that I got for MY four shedding dogs. My house is a rancher so it's flat as a pancake, can't help you there, but so far they have worked well, except:
They suck at dog crap/pee detection. As in, get ready for a mess you won't soon forget. Luckily, my dogs have only gone in the house once or twice, but that one time, QRevo Bravo painted a thin film of dog crap on the office floor. They're also bad about sucking in cords and socks.
They pick up so MUCH dog hair that changing out the bags is a weekly chore. If you find a different model you can just dump a bin you will like that better. You could crochet a chihuahua out of three days of vacuuming here.
My cabinets are just a squeak too low for them to get under, so there's a 3" rim of dust in the kitchen and bathrooms. Take that into consideration when you're looking.
We have the q revo pro and we have 3 dogs (2 shed) and 2 toddlers. I love the q revo pro. I do make sure to clean hair out of the brush every full clean but overall it’s fantastic for us

I went from a qrevo pro, to the eufy e25. The 20,000 pa suction and roller cleaning mop are what sold me. It has been a disaster from day 1. I’ll start with the good
Pros: quiet. This robot is so quiet, I don’t have to even turn up the tv when it’s on full blast
\-no tangle brushes. I have three golden retrievers, and a dirt backyard. Never tangles.
\-obstacle avoidance. This thing is great at avoiding wires
Cons:
\-navigation. Holy smokes this thing sucks. It doesn’t seem to ever know where it’s going. It’s lines are sloppy and disorganized
\-the mopping really isn’t much better than spin mops, and it can’t reach into corners.
\-vacuuming. I don’t know if my dogs shed too much, but it doesn’t even collect the hair anymore, it just rolls the hair into clumps and leaves them behind (I clean it regularly and replace the filter)
\-it can’t climb over anything.
\-maintaining it is a bitch.
I really miss my roborock after getting this. I was looking forward to the s2, but this robot has damped my enthusiasm
- Technology for robovacs are early stage and none of them can consistently do what marketing and paid reviewers say they do.
- Paying more than USD 700 for a robot vacuum is ridiculous.
- Best one was Roborock Q Revo Pro, balanced between performance and budget
- Brands pay influencers a really high fee and it’s resulted in a massive disconnect between what paid affiliates say vs real users. Calls out vacuum wars (and other paid reviewers) for ranking ecovacs x9 pro number 1 for so long. Calls out the brand and paid affiliates as a scam like practice.
- Most of the tech (roller mops etc) right now are gimmicky as they cause more human intervention and needs further reiteration. And they charge above 1k for it.
- People’s expectations are inflated due to reviews and marketing strategies, and most of the models can’t live up to it (without them having defects in the first place)
