That looks pretty good! Glad to hear Eufy's are doing well! But I must say, as a Q Revo owner, it never leaves this much dirt behind. You might need new mop pads or to increase the water used. I'd definitely look into that. It should be noted, it is still a good idea to occasionally deep clean and mop yourself on occasion. I have a Tineco iFloor I use probably once a month for deep cleans, but the water is really not that dry because of the Q Revo. Regardless these robots are getting better and better, and eventually they will completely replace other machines for floor cleaning!
RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->I genuinely will be keeping this in mind for future reference! I love my Q Revo and will use it till it dies. But after an ordeal I had (long story) I have been keeping a back-up list on Amazon lol. I really like the new Q Revo Master, but the new Eufy robots have been piquing my intro, especially the new S1 with the roller mop system. Though Switchbot also has that design, it unfortunately requires a place to put the second mop module, so it limits where I can put it. Regardless I'm happy to have heard all this!
RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->Ah, I have my Q Revo deep or deep+ mop roughly once a week depending on how often we're home. I'm thinking that could be it! The Eufy going over the area twice would definitely explain the extra pickup! Also good to hear that the housekeeper seems knowledgeable about that! I know friends and family that just use Swiffer or way too much cleaner and they LOVE it. But they don't ever understand why their floors don't stay clean sometimes lol! I'm gonna have to play around with my bot too now!
RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->Yes, that is also something I have been dealing with. It's fine for larger obstacles but cords always seem to catch it up, sometimes the corner of the rug too. That is one of the reasons the Master caught my eye, everything I like, but upgraded. But yes, I have no immediate plans to replace it! I'm genuinely hoping I get at least another two years out of it, but I'm not sure yet. My second robot I've ever had, an iLife A9, is still running 4 years later, at a quarter of the cost it pleasantly surprised me. So only time will tell with the Q Revo! Do update later if you happen to remember! I'd love to hear the long term life of the new Eufy's!
RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->I truly hope so! I should explain though. The reason why I say I'm nervous is because my left wheel died on mine recently. Roborock was great about the whole thing and helped me a ton. However, UPS ended up killing my robot and I ended up getting a refurb unit. It's a whole story LOL. But yes I'm hoping mine will be okay for now on! I look forward to hearing your update!
RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->Just bought the Roborock Qrevo.
RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody lookin... ->Thanks! Right after I got the email, Amazon brought a box. My husband got us a new roborock that also mops. I guess when the Samsung comes back, it's been downgraded to the upstairs vacuum since upstairs is all carpet.
RobotVacuums • The Samsung Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI ... ->Mop mop is home! It already got stuck in the upstairs banister while mapping, but at least hasn't complained about the brush yet. The paperwork they sent with it also had something about not letting it get wet, I forget the exact wording. So that might just be a standard thing they include with repairs. So far the roborock is working good downstairs. it's the qrevo s. It takes forever to clean, but it was half the price of the Samsung, cleans it's own mop pads and seems to do better on carpet, at least with the battery life. It even goes back to the base and cleans the mop pads in the middle of cleaning the hard floors. The main con right now is I'm so used to the smart things app that navigating the roborock one is difficult. I have the hardest time finding where I can just tell it to clean certain rooms.
RobotVacuums • The Samsung Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI ... ->I will! It just got done mapping, haven't gotten it completely set up yet. So far I can say it's a lot lower than the jet bot, so it fit under more furniture, and the battery seems amazing, it only used 3% to map. I noticed the carpeted rooms really drain the jet bot's battery fast.
RobotVacuums • The Samsung Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI ... ->Definitely share your thoughts. That’s a brand I’ve been considering!
RobotVacuums • The Samsung Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI ... ->Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It sounds like the Roborick is worthy of looking at for a replacement excluding the app. That’s great!
RobotVacuums • The Samsung Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI ... ->I have a gp\newfie and two golden\newfies. I have a roborock q5+ and a q revo both on a good sale on amazon. I have been happy with both. If I forget to run it one day, it will leave little hair balls but they are easy to pick up haha. Still doesn’t get deep enough though on the carpets. Had to get a Miele for that. Never had problems with the vacuum or the app had them for about two or three years now. Replacement parts are easy to get. The Q5+ was 300 and the Revo was 650. If you have a high pile carpet it does okay but low it’s good at.
greatpyrenees • Best robot vacuum on a budget? ->The reliability of Roborock seems good to me. First S5, now Q Revo.
RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum has the most robus... ->Quite well. The dock for the Q Reco can be placed closer to obstacles than the manual specifies without issues.
RobotVacuums • Which robot vacuum has the most robus... ->I got the Roborocks QRevo S on Prime Day. I compared it to all the mop robovacs and felt it was the best bang for the $. Plus I really love the spinning mops! Boy do I love this thing!! Connected to wifi and was vacuuming and mopping within minutes. Has a great mapping feature. I am very pleased with it.
Roborock • Is Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra worth the $$$? ->I bought the Roborock Qrevo S just before christmas. I paid $1,100 AUD for it, which I balked at, but it was a christmas present for my wife and a toy for me to tinker with in Home Assistant, so it is what it is. But I like it. It has a dock that both empties the internal catcher into the dock's bigger dust bag and refills the water tank / empties out the dirty water, has a mopping function, has an auto-lift mop and carpet detection which was important for me, because I want it to do the whole house all at once, instead of needing me to carry it to the bathroom / laundry / kitchen. The internal catcher doesn't always get vacuumed out so I need to empty it manually once every week or two, I also need to remove coils of long hair from the rubber roller just as often, and it doesn't do well with avoiding cables, which is evident by it dragging my USB wifi device until the cable disconnected this afternoon, but it's good. The Home Assistant integration was really easy to set up and is amazing work by the one (?) developer who works on it, but I find myself using the Roborock app 100% of the time because it shows me the map and location of the robot (I can't seem to get the map using the HA integration?) and lets me run specific routines which I use to quickly get a vac, mop or vac & mop going. These are probably things that can be done with the HA integration if I bothered, but it's not as easy as using the app, so instead I just use HA to check for errors, see what percent it's up to, and see what it's currently doing out of idle curiosity. Other people might get more use out of it, particularly if they're big into automating stuff or getting notifications when stuff happens. So why did I buy that one specifically? There's a billion and a half robotic vacuums. Some vac only, some mop but require you to manually place it somewhere, some require you to fill water tanks manually, some have cameras, some just have LIDAR, some are HA compatible, some aren't, some have the same name but with a "+" or "pro" or whatever slapped on the end. After going insane from seeing literally a dozen spreadsheets, each with bits of information, some with stats I didn't give a rat's arse about, I narrowed it down to a cheap one (around $500), a second hand one on Facebook Marketplace ($300) and a new Qrevo S, and the Qrevo S won. It has been a game changer though. If I make a mess cooking dinner (e.g. I grated carrot tonight and some fell on the floor), I just tell the robot to do a run after dinner, and it'll happily pick up scattered kitty litter, but it just needs some minor regular maintenance so stuff doesn't get clogged up.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop... ->Go to the YouTube channel Vacuum Wars and watch some of the reviews and Best of 2024 vuds. That will give you decent background info on robot vacuumed and their features and limitations. That way, you can get a better idea of what features you want and issues you might face in your home. Whatever you buy will be in your home for 3-5 years (possibly longer). I'm on my second bot. First was a Shark (no mopping ), and my current one is a Roborock Q Revo(mopping ). Both did or are doing exactly what I bought them to do within the limitations I expected. The Q Revo I bought was quickly replaced by a model with some improvements, but it's a quickly evolving field.
RobotVacuums • Robot vacuum recommendations please ->I’ve been playing with my P 10 Pro ultra for several weeks and it’s disappointing compared with the Roborocks. The sweeper arm doesn’t do anything, it doesn’t even rotate on my robot, except in very rare conditions that I can’t predict. The bigger issue is that the paths are not as tight and overlapping. When I look at the cleaning paths with the MOVA On the tightest setting with the max number of passes (x3) It has nowhere near the coverage of the qrevos and the carpet is not clean. The Revos get really tight around legs while the MOVA barely tries to approach. I think the people who think these are great robots are ones who are new to robot vacs or else have come from Roomba or some less tech -evolved brands. My 5300 kPa Roborock qrevo outperforms this MOVA on every run, in every situation. Trying to figure out how to send it back without having to pay shipping.
RobotVacuums • After a month of analysis paralysis I... ->Both my Qrevos are much quieter than the p10 ultra and actually leave the carpets looking clean.
RobotVacuums • After a month of analysis paralysis I... ->I have the q revo s. It has a sensor but no camera to take pictures. Overall its an incredible vacuum for its price point.
RobotVacuums • Advance robovac without camera (for p... ->Sure thing. So far ive been super happy with the device and its definitely been a mostly "set and forget" feeling. So far uve had it get "stuck" about three times. One time it ate a small yarn butterfly my wife made, and twice it ate these wires that close toast bags. In all cases I suspect the cat had something to do with it. Overall, id say the obstacle avoidance is fine. We usually dont have anything really lying around and so far (*knocking on wood) our cat is rather clean and doesnt have too many accidents. That said, the obstacle avoidance is always going to be better with something that has a camera. The qrevo s also has the worst obstacle avoidance from all the qrevos...its also the cheapest though. All in all we love thing and it keeps our apartment wonderfully clean. A couple of oddly shapped obstacles have not been avoided, but I havent really stress tested it.
RobotVacuums • Advance robovac without camera (for p... ->After my Ecovacs X1 Turbo shat itself within 3 months of buying I took it back for a refund and replaced it with a Roborock Q Revo S. Way way better and has HA support. I’ve not needed to root it or anything so far. I do wish the map management was better though. No way to delete rooms or individually remap them, and I’ve now got a bunch of no go zones all marked out around the outside of glass doors and low frame windows from where it’s seen through but can’t access.
homeassistant • What's your TOP PICK for the best Ro... ->We had an Ecovacs Deebot X1 Turbo and when it shat itself after just 3 months I sent it back, got a refund and bought a Q Revo S. Massive improvement. Still bits where it could improve too but this is a much better quality vac. Edit: and I was able to do the exact same integration with the zigbee scene buttons on the walls in my rooms, where anyone can press it once to summon the vac to that room, and double-press the button to cancel the request and send the vac back to base.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop... ->At the end i bought the Qrevo S and I'm very satisfied with it. I can't really make a comparison with the others one but as for now it works and cleans pretty well.
RobotVacuums • Need help choosing a robot vacuum for... ->I choose the Qrevo S because I really wanted mop lifting and a dock with self emptying and mop washing for minimal attention. I also wanted something without a camera. I’m super happy with it. The spinning mops gets my parquet really clean and nice. I was also overwhelmed by the number of options. But everyone I spoke to was really happy with their Roborocks, and when narrowing it down to a robot with dock, no camera (only LiDAR/laser/light), good mopping and under €600 there simply wasn’t a lot of options left.
RobotVacuums • Need help choosing a robot vacuum for... ->I have q8 max and it is great. But if you want good mopping 100% go for the Q Revo S, the mopping on the q8 is very basic, its definitely worth the extra money.
RobotVacuums • Need help choosing a robot vacuum for... ->I have had a Roborock Qrevo S since December which has worked flawlessly. I would give it another try.
RobotVacuums • What's the best robot vacuume under 6... ->Had a dumb one and it helped but was so dumb, now have a Q Revo and enjoy it
homeassistant • For housekeeping, what are the best ... ->Roborock q revo. Don't try to make sense of their 20+ models, you'll just give yourself a headache. Whatever you get, make sure it has lidar. And Roomba is a garbage brand now.
homeowners • Need advice on choosing the best robot ... ->Roborock q revo. It's a beast
homeassistant • For housekeeping, what are the best ... ->I've never experience that, many it's because I don't have pets
homeassistant • For housekeeping, what are the best ... ->Qrevo and qrevo pro are awesome!
homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->I also have one. Can confirm, but the mop heads get stinky quickly and need regular cleaning (I have a dog).
homeassistant • For housekeeping, what are the best ... ->Just bought the x20 max at usd480. Delivery in early November. The price is cheaper than buying the roborock q Revo which was released last year. X20 max has hot water wash/mop, hot air drying and hair cutting brush. Definitely a better buy than q Revo.
Xiaomi • Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20 Max Review ->I have an older model, the S6. My son has the Q Revo, and it is great. It cleans really well. There are some newer models that have the double brush, that might be good for the long dog hair
dogs • Is any of the robot (Roomba style) vacuums wo... ->I have a Roborock Q Revo (vacs, mops, self empties) and it's fucking amazing.
homeautomation • Does a Robot Vacuum Make a Difference? ->Same. I got it a few months ago and my floors are fucking awesome now.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for hom... ->Roborock q revo has been great for us. Though I know there are upgraded models now
homeassistant • What are The Best Robot Vacuums Reco... ->We have a Flat Coated Retriever - for those who don't know, that's a big fella who sheds a tonne of long (4 inch plus) fur (as the old saying goes - retrievers shed twice a year - once in the summer for 6 months and once in the winter for 6 months). For a long time I thought a robo-vac could never handle it. Finally decided to try one (a Roborock Q Revo) about a year ago. I was wrong, it's great. The main trick to it is never to let the fur buildup to the point that it gets clogged. I run ours 2 or 3 times a day through the whole downstairs (almost all hard floor), & only need to do a quick de-tangle of the brush once or twice a week. The one caveat is that it isn't as effective on carpet, but if you're all hard floor you should be grand. The mopping is good too. Put it this way - if it broke tomorrow I'd have no hesitation buying another one (or whatever the newer version is).
BuyItForLife • Best self cleaning robot vacuum? ->I knew my weird hobby of watching videos about vaccum cleaners would come in handy. As others have said absolutely the roborock Specifically the roborock Qrevo, it's great on almost every front and a bit cheaper than their other models whike performing better.
BuyItForLife • Best self cleaning robot vacuum? ->I like my roborock q5 I bought it 2 years ago for our main floor. I would take it upstairs and let it do up there also weekly. I liked it so much that I bought a qrevo(has a mop) and moved the q5 down to the basement. My basement floor is cleaned every night now. I could not be happier.
RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum with no mop ->YES! My advice is to invest in a one that needs a low maintenance otherwise you will feel it is worthless after sometime. By low maintenance I mean it auto empty the dust bag, auto wash and dry the mops so you only need minimum interaction with it just to fill water tanks and clean it every now and then. Check the Robrock S Qrevo.
workingmoms • Should I get a robot vacuum? ->I say no. I returned mine and bought a like new Q Revo on Amazon for $600 and saved $1,200. Sure, the S8 MaxV has a camera, much better obstacle avoidance, and a flex arm (which didn’t work), but to me that just wasn’t worth $1,800. I don’t mind moving a few cat toys and checking for cat puke to save $1,200. The core mechanics are very similar between the two as far as my average consumer brain can tell. I don’t think my hardwood floors care what they get mopped by. I feel like the upper tier of robot vacuums are good but we’re getting into “stupid money” territory these last few years.
Roborock • Is Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra worth the $$$? ->Roborock shortcomings: Q Revo’s main downside is its obstacle avoidance sensors. The absence of the additional lasers found on Roborock S models seems to make it less effective than its more expensive Roborock counterparts. Definitely stick with S series.
Roborock • Is Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra worth the $$$? ->Bought a Roborock Q Revo S for Christmas... I've been asking myself why I waited so long to get it, it's worth every penny.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop... ->Another vote for the Q Revo with full self emptying and self mop washing/drying. The price hurts, but got it for black friday a year ago so it wasn't quite so nuts. And for whatever reason it does all the same stuff as the S8 max or whatever they call it, just with spinny mops instead of vibrating, for much cheaper. Also have the LG self-emptying stick vacuum. At least for our household, we've learned that lowering the barrier to quick cleanup was by far the best way to get us to actually clean. With our old stick and robot vacs, having to empty the dustbin and for basically every use meant it was enough of a hassle that we would just not clean as often. The self-cleaning are certainly not maintenance free, but make it more of a monthly deal. And the roborock app is pretty great, sometimes a little finnicky but better than others I've tried, and HA integration is straightforward enough to get the basics working. I have a dashboard with buttons that just send it to individual rooms which is good enough. Eventually will make some toggles to select multiple rooms at once.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop... ->I had a Eufy L60 SES and the problem with it was that it only has a 2600 mah battery compared to the Roborocks standard 5200 mah battery. I did return it and got a Roborock Q8 Max + and like it much better. Another problem with the L60 is it seemed to hop along carpets rather than run smooth across the carpet. The Q8 Max has 5the electronic pump water for mopping which is just drag behind mopping. If you don't care about mopping I think your best bet would be the Roborock Q5 Pro +. It has a water tank on it for mopping but it really is useless because it is just gravity fed water and many times doesn't even wet the floor. [https://www.amazon.com/roborock-Q5-Pro-Self-Emptying-Hands-Free/dp/B0C7VN9NWK?ref\_=ast\_sto\_dp&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/roborock-Q5-Pro-Self-Emptying-Hands-Free/dp/B0C7VN9NWK?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1) If you can get closer to your $500.00 budget the Qrevo S is a steal at $460.00. That will do a good job of mopping and vacuuming. RobotVacuums • Looking for budget-friendly recommend... ->See I don’t have carpet and it’s doing a fantastic job with my hardwood so no complaints also it’s getting right in the corners with those mops and doing good edge work so I have zero complaints My sis has the one you said and I don’t like it as much but also I don’t have carpet. Nor does she tho The qrevo has lower standing in most every category (price comparative. I paid 1400 CAD$ for the p10 pro ultra which is way less than that one, depending on exactly which one but their suction sucked comparatively - not in a good way) on the spreadsheet that cross compares every feature on every robot but I’m really happy you like yours! Weird how the two you mentioned are the only two I have irl experience with. I think the difference must be the flooring type
RobotVacuums • After a month of analysis paralysis I... ->I’ve also been very happy with our Qrevo, but it does get tangled up in cables a lot (I really need to do some better cable management in my home office).
homeassistant • What's your TOP PICK for the best Ro... ->I’ll copy my “review” (not really a review, just some quick impressions after week 1) from another comment in case it’s useful to anyone: I’ve had mine for a week now, previously had a Neato D85, an iRobot J7, and a Roborock Q Revo. So far, it’s a great mop, an alright vacuum, and a functional work in progress on the software side. The great: - First of all, there’s nothing that comes close in terms of mopping. The amount of dirt the S1 lifts of my floors after they are mopped by a housekeeper and a Q Revo is astonishing. - Second, both the vacuum and the dock are probably the best built out of all I’ve owned. I do question piano black and gloss plastic on a robot vacuum, but it sure does look good. The good: - Despite using a new kind of lidar design, pathing is solid. On the current firmware (.33), the robot is definitely too cautious about edges and height clearance. The upcoming version currently in limited release (.40) swings the other way, it makes the vacuum overly aggressive and brave. The only significant gripe I have with pathing is the lack of programming to mop along the edge of carpets where the robot lifted the mop on the first pass. - Obstacle avoidance is generally on par with the J7. It does struggle in low contrast environments and the lack of an LED light doesn’t help, but overall it’s more than enough for the vacuum to run daily without prep. - The maintenance is easier than expected. The dirty water tank adds a couple of steps to the weekly routine, but it still takes less than 10 minutes. The not so good: - It is a loud one. Not quite as loud as the J7, but noticeably louder than the Q Revo. The auto-empty cycle is also longer than other robots, about double that of the J7. Even mop drying (that runs for 4 hours) makes a noticeable noise. Not an issue for me, but I would not put the dock in the bedroom. - Firmware is not quite there. A few times, the robot had randomly stopped in the middle of a run with a notification that doesn’t make sense (e.g. “dust collection stopped”, or “mop washing stopped”…while it’s not on the dock). Pathing could be improved so that empty/wash cycles work in synergy with the cleaning plan, edges are vacuumed and mopped more closely, and areas around edges of rugs are re-mopped after they are detected. - Clean water tank is smaller than I’d like, refill is every 2-3 days for a 1700 square foot house. Overall, very impressed by this effort from Eufy and I think I will end up keeping it despite the kinks because of how well it mops.
RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->Yep, I had a hard time believing my eyes too. Q Revo ran daily for 9 months. Mop pads got replaced every 3 months, water use setting varied by room but none were lower than medium. Regular vacuuming and mopping was handled by a housekeeper weekly. Yet here we are.
RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->I can attest to the same amazing mopping performance as OP, and I upgraded to the S1 Pro from a Q Revo as well. My Q Revo was set to do daily vac/mopping runs of my kitchen with a double pass, max water usage, and frequent mop washing (with Roborock detergent). To test its mopping vs. the S1 I let it do a triple pass cleaning of my kitchen with fresh mop pads, then I had the S1 Pro a double pass of my kitchen afterwards. When I emptied the water from the S1 Pro it literally was almost black, even darker than in OP's picture. I was mind blown. Before I even emptied the dirty tank I could already feel the difference when walking barefoot. The Q Revo made the floors feel mostly clean, but the S1 makes them feel immaculate like there's truly nothing on them. Another benefit is the ozone generation totally prevents the dirty water from smelling (left it for 5 days just to see). By comparison, the dirty water in the Q Revo ALWAYS smelled nasty. If I were to rate it I'd say the Q Revo was a 6/10 at mopping and the S1 Pro is a 10/10. It's really just that good.
RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->The Master looks great! My main issue with the Q Revo was the obstacle avoidance or lack thereof. I thought it would do fine with just the structured light sensors, but that was quickly disproven when it snagged itself on a lamp cord and pulled it off a side table, causing it to break. After that I started looking into bots that had dedicated front cameras for real obstacle avoidance and somehow found the S1 Pro. I considered the Switchbot, but early reviews from owners didn't seem so great so I decided against it. If you're happy with the Q Revo for now, I'd stick with it and wait to see what else comes out in the second half of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if more of them adopt a rolling mop system too.
RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->I have no doubt the Q Revo will last you many more years. So long as you keep up with maintenance I'd bet it'll last as long, if not longer, than your iLife. I'll definitely revisit this thread in 6 months with some updates on how it's doing. Just set a reminder on my phone so I won't forget either!
RobotVacuums • Eufy S1 Pro mopping is seriously good ->I have a Q Revo that I'm not the happiest with (not great suction, mopping is decent, and obstacle avoidance is terrible) and like you, I was planning on replacing it with an S8... until I saw the Kickstarter for the S1 Pro and instantly backed it. Seems to address all of my complaints and can't beat the price ($899!). I plan on doing a review when I get it next month.
Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->I'm of the opposite opinion and my reasoning is this: when you run these robots on a daily schedule, there's never times for stains to set and get as stuck on as they do in that german video. Another thing is, with the eufy if you spill something, or just want to do a cleaning after cooking something, it's super simple and quick to just walk over to the base, press the play button and have it do a quick run. With my Q Revo I have to go find my phone, open the app, select a mode, and then click start. It's more involved and requires enough steps that I often forget to do it until later on. What I think the eufy needs that would help a lot with really stuck on stains though, is a deep mopping mode where it increases water usage. I suspect that will likely get added with a future update. Regarding the non-lifting vacuum roller, from all of the reviews I've seen it doesn't really get dirty unless it goes over a wet mess that has chunks in it like tomato sauce. But even then, from the reviews where I've seen it pickup freshly spilled milk, peanut butter, etc., the only thing that left (a minor amount of) residue on the vacuum roller was the tomato sauce chunks. Jamie Andrews review will be out in a few days and I'm hoping he tested this more.
Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->Jamie Andrews replied to someone else in this thread saying that his review will be out in the coming days, so we have that to look forward to. I commented above with a counterpoint as to why really stuck on stains aren't super realistic though. I'll repost that here in case you didn't see it: >I'm of the opposite opinion and my reasoning is this: when you run these robots on a daily schedule, there's never times for stains to set and get as stuck on as they do in that german video. Another thing is, with the eufy if you spill something, or just want to do a cleaning after cooking something, it's super simple and quick to just walk over to the base, press the play button and have it do a quick run. I suspect that will likely get added with a future update. Another good thing with the eufy and its roller mop, is that it also cleans much, much faster than other robovacs since it doesn't have to ever go back and wash the mops. I've seen a few reviewers mention it doing a full clean almost 2x faster than other botvacs. This stood out to me because sometimes I'll put off running my Q Revo solely because I know it can take a while and is loud, which is annoying to hear going for a long time while I'm in the room... and then I forget to run a cleaning session after. 🤦🏽♂️
Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->Haha well that's more of a me problem because of my ADHD/ADD. If I don't immediately go get my phone when a spill happens, open the app, switch modes to only do "Kitchen", and start a cleaning, I'll completely forget about it until hours later. Even worse, sometimes I WILL go get my phone, but then get distracted by a notification or text, reply to it, and then lock my phone... without starting the cleaning! 😂 With the S1 Pro's base being at arm level and right between my kitchen/living room, I'd pass it when leaving the kitchen and could easily tap the play button to have it clean everywhere since it has great obstacle avoidance. It seems minor, but the simplicity of that one step process with a physical button and no distractions is perfect for someone like me. With the Q Revo's terrible terrible obstacle avoidance, I can't just open the app and click the big start button without first pre-cleaning and removing any cables from the ground so it doesn't get caught on them (it broke a lamp by doing this before). It's overall a more involved process that I often will put off until later... and forget about lol.
Roborock • Thoughts on Eufy S1 Pro ->I agree, I have no idea why they’re using such an inferior system on their most expensive bot. Seems a bit lazy of them to not try and innovate like Eufy did. That was me in the Discord, by the way. :) My Q Revo was visibly making my white tile floors looks dingy and dull even with daily 2x mopping using their detergent with max water usage and frequent mop washing. For the past 3 weeks the S1 water has been very dark, but now it’s finally starting to lighten up and the floors look brighter than they ever have before. I truly have never been so impressed.
RobotVacuums • [deleted by user] ->Had my Roborock Qrevo S for about 2 weeks and very happy with it.
RobotVacuums • I’m quite unsure about which robot va... ->To clear up any confusion the 2 other robots I bought after the q7 were the q revo and then the master because it could take pics of my dog. 2k mistake.
RobotVacuums • I’m quite unsure about which robot va... ->I have the Qrevo Master as well and love it, but that’s pushing her budget (even at its lowest price it was $1100 before taxes). Look into the Qrevo Pro, which is $800 on Amazon after applying a $200 coupon. The Pro gets her an extending mop pad to better clean edges, a better dock, and a little more suction compared to the regular Qrevo. Id say don’t go for the regular Qrevo though, if not the Master or the Pro, get the Qrevo S. It has slightly better specs and is a littler cheaper (Roborocks lineup is super confusing). There’s some debate over the rotating mops being better than the vibrating sonic mops, but I think most people like the rotating style better.

Roborock • Robotic vacuum+mop for big hardwood apart... ->I didn't have much of an issue with performance but it was the navigation and getting stuck issue that stood out for me with this machine. I sent two back for the same reason. I switched to a roborock qrevo s which has marginally less stated features but actually effectively and efficiently navigates itself around.
RobotVacuums • Eufy X10 Review after 350+ hours ->Robot vacuums have really come a long way even in recent years. Lidar + Structured light or AI cameras make them great at navigation, and auto empty dust bins and mopping functions greatly improve both their autonomy and cleaning power. I picked up a couple of Roborocks (S7 Ultra and QRevo) last black Friday and they are game changer. I used to have to rescue my 7 year old Roomba often and empty its bin every other vacuum. Now my floors are literally the cleanest they've been in years and the only time I really have to think about my vacuum is to empty/fill the water, clean the filters in the base and swap out the bag occasionally. We have two cats and the reduction in dust and cat hair is noticeable.
homeautomation • Does a Robot Vacuum Make a Difference? ->The wyze vac is really a steal for what it's capable of, if they had a version with a self empty dock I would have happily got that. I got a Q revo as my upgrade and have been very happy with its performance and functionality aside from the dock occasionally clogging with pet hair.
RobotVacuums • Eufy X10 Review after 350+ hours ->I just received the Roomba Vac 2 Essential. It’s dumber than a sack of rocks. It will worry away at the same area endlessly going over it and over it like it’s expecting walls to suddenly disappear or move under its will. I already have the Roborock QRevo ($900 CAD) but received this Roomba as a gift. For comparison the QRevo vacuumed and mopped the area in 20 minutes while I finally overrode the Roomba after 1.5 hours of watching it bang into everything over and over and over again. I have no doubt this Roomba model will end up eventually marking up my baseboards after months of repeated crashes. Sure it stops when faced with a head on obstacle but any deviation; a corner, a partial wall….it will thump into it with the bumpers. This model has no customizable map. It’s not particularly good on carpet. It could find the dock when I pressed the home button but did not automatically empty. I watched it fumble about on a near empty laminate floor series of rooms in my basement. Sure the QRevo is 3 times the price but I was ready to frisbee this model of Roomba out the window after watching it the first time. It will be on FB marketplace before the end of the week.
roomba • iRobot Roomba Combo 2 Essential - Reviews? ->Roborock - the Android app is great. I checked all the app ratings before deciding on this brand. I wouldn't buy a robot vacuum with an unintuitive/buggy app. I got the Qrevo S and couldn't be happier.
RobotVacuums • Best robot vacuum cleaner for a busy ... ->We picked up the Qrevo S. So far it’s a huge upgrade from our s7.
RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody lookin... ->The mop is big. Auto everything is also really nice.
RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody lookin... ->This is cool, but I'm not sure how useful it is. Maybe instead of simply positive or negative, it could drill down into more specific, e.g. "Good for pets?", "Good for carpets", "Easy to maintain", "Easy to use app" etc. For example, the obstacle avoidance in the Q Revo which has the highest rating here is pretty terrible. It will easily drive through pet waste spreading it all over your home and basically destroying the robot. I have two Q Revos, but no pets :)
CleaningTips • I analyzed the 25 most recommended ro... ->I love the vacuum, but getting it to integrate with HA is a pain. I wish it was just plug and play.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for hom... ->I got it set up once, but the only options were basically to start (clean the whole house) or to stop. No ability to clean just a room, or to change the cleaning type. I just went to uninstall and reinstall, and now I can't even get it set up. When I try, I get a message "No device found within your Roborock account".
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for hom... ->I bought the Q Revo two months ago and kept it for a month. When the Pro version came out, I returned the Revo and purchased the Pro. It's a fantastic vacuum (I upgraded from the S7; I've also owned a Roomba). For me, the Pro was worth the extra cost because of the flexible mop. The regular Q Revo can't get within a few inches of the edge of a wall, and for me, that was important. No other noticeable differences between the two models for me besides the flexi mop. I know the pro has more suction, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for me because my house is 90% hardwood.
Roborock • Any reviews on the Q Revo Pro? ->I disagree. Got a roborock q revo with vac and mop, also with a station that washes and dries the mops and it is very good and helpful.
RobotVacuums • Wirecutter says don't get a robot vac... ->The Revo for me too! Using the HACKS roborock integration that works with Xiaomi!
homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->This community: Wait, the next model will solve all problems. For what it's worth, we have dogs and I bought a Q Revo last week. Works great. Not 400 m\^2, but 300 m\^2 anyway.
Roborock • Best Robot Vacuum + Mop for Pet Hair? ->App calls it just Q Revo so I assume normal?
Roborock • Best Robot Vacuum + Mop for Pet Hair? ->As a qrevo owner, I'd get that if you aren't willing or able to find a spot for the auto drain then I'd either reduce the amount of cleaning (or do it when you're not at home). That said spinning heads are very good at mopping and I make sure not to put stuff around since it will get stuck at a left over cable.
Roborock • Is Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra worth the $$$? ->I have a Roborock Q Revo in our 2 adult household and love it. I sweep out the corners occasionally since a round vacuum obviously can’t get into a 90 degree corner, but I don’t have to vacuum or mop anymore unless I just want to. My MIL also bought the same model, and they have three dogs in their home. One of whole sheds A LOT. He’s a corgi/lab mix and blows coat like a dandelion. It keeps up with all their hair, just needs more frequent dust bag replacements. It is so worth buying the right kind and getting a quality robot vacuum/mop. The cheap ones simply aren’t worth it. My father has a roomba (to excuse himself from ever actually cleaning) and it is awful. It will run over the same piece of hair multiple times without picking it up and then straight up avoid a certain dirty spot on the floor repeatedly. It runs on a random track of going until it bumps into something and then goes a different direction. He has also had problems with the batteries crapping out constantly and needing replaced because the capacity deteriorates so badly. The Roborock goes in a pattern; first does a perimeter sweep then goes in a grid pattern of vertical then horizontal rows. The Roborock takes floor plans of your house so you can select individual rooms for cleaning. There is a spot cleaning feature as well where you can drop a box to enclose a specific area that needs cleaned. You can set up scheduled for it to keep your house maintained and ignore it beyond weekly maintenance. I dump dirty water, fill the clean water, and wash mop heads once a week. I love it and would never buy anything else. Especially a Roomba.
Apartmentliving • What are the best robot vacuums yo... ->Roborock Qrevo is expensive but works very well. We have two long-haired dogs who can shed a third dog before noon. The Qrevo sweeps and mops. We usually run it in the morning and again in the evening.
Appliances • What do you think are the best robot va... ->In my house, I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a toddler. The dogs are constantly tracking mud/dirt, the cats track litter, and the toddler is, well, a toddler. Before getting a RoboVac, it was near impossible to keep my floor clean. I could sweep and mop everyday, but the dust bunnies and foot prints would return by the next day. Found a Roomba 670 at Goodwill, and the dust bunnies were no longer an issue. Still had foot prints, and minor dirt on the floor, but definitely less fur floating around. Just upgraded to a Qrevo S, and I can tell the floor is much cleaner and less dirt captured in my socks. You can still see some dirt in the right light, but my floors are noticeably better. Only upgraded maybe a week ago, so things may change. In short, my floors aren't as clean as if I pulled out the bucket and brush and scrubbed my house down. But it is so much cleaner than what it was before and quality of life has increased considerably as a result. So temper your expectations accordingly and you won't be disappointed.
RobotVacuums • Can robot vacuum truly deep clean you... ->My Roborock quervo that I got two weeks ago has been incredible. We had a shark matrix because it didn’t have bags, but made a compromise to upgrade. It is like watching a Zamboni drive across the floor when it is mopping.
RobotVacuums • Best self emptying robot vacuum? ->QRevo has been great , has most of the top line functionality at a reasonable cost. Have two of them going on now. Our old S5 was still working great and relegated to basement now. Apart from accessories, the only thing I changed was the battery.
homeassistant • What are The Best Robot Vacuums Reco... ->Me and my Qrevo disagree with them.
RobotVacuums • Wirecutter says don't get a robot vac... ->I had one of the higher end Sharks, can't remember the model, and I thought I liked it. It touted laser mapping, advanced schedules, etc. But then I got the Roborock Q Revo and it absolutely blew me away; made me realize how shitty the Shark was. At every level it's better: primarily it cleans way better, but also the app is better, it's actually easy to get replacement parts, and a ton of minor things that make it feel polished, like the robot will announce on its own device speaker what's happening, like why it got stuck or why it's returning to a dock. Contrast this with a few friends of mine that have even worse vacuums than the Shark: theirs get stuck all the time, can't find their way home to the dock, they end up not using it at all. Long story short, based on my experience it's absolutely worth spending good money to get a good robot vacuum.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop... ->Agreed, it's awesome! Mopping great if you have any wood. Only downside to the more expensive ones is the lack of camera to detect cords, which isn't a huge deal.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop... ->Same, and it has been worth every penny for us!
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop... ->Got the same one, for 400€ it's great! Navigation is awesome but it indeed just won't detect cables… The ones that can automatically search for your pet and allow you to see it while further controlling the robot remotely are pretty cool, but it's not really a big deal to not have that feature.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop... ->I have a Roborock Q revo and I'm loving it :)
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop... ->I also purchased one of these and have been happy with it. Does a great job. I recommend watching vacuum wars on YouTube. He purchases every single robot vacuum and tests them all.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum and mop... ->I'm using Roborock Qrevo right now. The price is budget-friendly, and the integration is native (support local based on the document).
homeassistant • What's your TOP PICK for the best Ro... ->If I were buying today, I would focus on one that fills/dumps the water automatically. I have the Roborock Q Revo and it is solid… I just have to dump/fill the tanks after about three mops. I’ve got all the parts in my Amazon cart to automate this. My hesitancy has been about how much automation/metering do I want and how much safety net do I want!!
homeassistant • What's your TOP PICK for the best Ro... ->Got the qrevo s for 420 ish after discounts, picked up a q5+ or pro idk for $140 as well. Excited to try them
RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum is everybody lookin... ->The Q Revo has been perfection for us
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for hom... ->Probably close to a year. Filtered tap water
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for hom... ->Not so plug and play then
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for hom... ->Just an observation, doesn't mean it's not easy or doable. Just means it's not plug & play in terms of what that actually means. Plug & play means in this case that you add the vacuum to HA and it immediately fetches all available information including created routines. All you then need to do is to show that information on a card for example. Just pointing out what the term means. Looks like it requires a bit of effort to get going, which doesn't mean it's going to be hard, but it means it's not p&p. Apologies for the seemingly snarky remark.
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for hom... ->Saw a few posts from people cursing how difficult it was to include routines, and how much yaml was necessary to make it all work. I'm talking mopping intensity, vacuum power, what rooms to do in which order and so on. I just gave up mentally before I looked into it more. You're saying it's easy, should I look again?
homeassistant • What's the best robot vacuum for hom... ->I agree with you, the normal QRevo should meet most of your needs if you can’t get the Master. You lose the camera and the extended arm but it’s a great machine!
Roborock • Robotic vacuum+mop for big hardwood apart... ->It gets close enough, like 1 cm. Not farther than mopping plates
Roborock • Robotic vacuum+mop for big hardwood apart... ->The comment about robot vacuums only being for small places is probably based on the old random pattern robots. Most robots now map and do well in large houses. It sounds like most mapping robots would work for you, since you don't want mopping, have hardfloors, and no pets. So anything with lidar (prefered) or vslam navigation. Obstacle avoidance might be a useful feature for cords, shoes, toys etc. left on the ground. It might be worth looking into a Eufy L60, iRobot Roomba j series, Roborock Q series, or shark. I'm biased because I have three robot vacs (Roborock S6, Ecovacs x1 omni, and iRobot Roomba j5+ combo) and my roomba j5+ is the only one that is reliable and working at the moment
RobotVacuums • I'm searching for my first robot vacu... ->We have the Roborock Q Revo and it's a workhorse.
homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->Roborock Q Revo is IMO the best price/performance ratio while shipping with most flagship features, esp. the self-emptying station that also cleans and dries the mops.
homeassistant • What's a good robot vacuum & mop combo? ->
